Inu No Taisho "Toga" Headcanon (AU)

Toga was always emotional, someone who never attempted to hide his emotions even as a boy.

he was often called "cry baby" going up.

His father was a big Personality and often laughed loud and hard, but Toga couldn't stand it because he always felt there was small cruel lining in his laughs.

He never shied away from laughing, crying and felt the pain and emotions of so much loss people suffered through. But he's hardly ever not seem without a big toothy grin and he laughed just as loud but always good natured.

In a time of war, secrets, mistrust and alliances emotions sometimes could get you killed. showing your true heart want always accepted by most demons.

But his honesty won him more allies than lost during his time as lord.

what if i made a daiyokai oc that masquerades as a god

and he constantly and consistently started trouble with inutaisho, but was also friendly towards him. depending on his mood.

Extremely fond of the idea that Muzan now inhabits the (regenerated) ruins of InuTaisho's old castle, and that he used his magic to raise all of the servants that were felled when the castle was invaded some 60 years ago.

I’m writing an epic Inuyasha fanfiction about Sesshoumaru’s childhood

Titled ‘Memories of Days Gone By’ on AO3

I haven’t added a lot of tags, mainly because I don’t want to spoil or misrepresent anything from the story... but it also means that people won’t find it... 

I started writing this when I was 11, wrote some 50-something chapters then gave up... Now I’m rewriting it twenty years later, hoping that someone would be interested.

Short summary:

The year is 1206 and Sesshoumaru is a teenager in his rebellious phase. Soon, unforeseen circumstances force him to embark on a long journey, during which he becomes the coldhearted demon we know today. 

It’s very plot-heavy, and there are secrets and hidden information that is not explained, but can be deduced if one pays attention. There are a few original characters, but everything is centered around Sesshoumaru. There is no shipping, although there are romantic elements. 

As it’s about Sesshoumaru as a teenager, none of the OG characters will make an appearance, except for Inutaisho, Sesshoumaru’s mother and Inuyasha (mentioned). Needless to say it will not be Yashahime compliant. It is mostly compliant to the original canon, with some details changed to add more depth to the story.

aka. what if Sesshoumaru was a bit more complex than ‘demon warrior who wants to be the best and doesn’t talk’

He didn't make the effort to, not that it would have gone good. I sure would hope not, counter question. Why the late concern over a matter that was done long ago?

Inutaisho & InuKimi Hedacanon

(I'm more than confident this was implied information, but for some reason people think inutaisho was somehow in a poly relationship. but I wanted to excavate what could have happened and why they

Toga was arranged to be married to Kimi, as a young ma, his father this was to create more allies as well as establish more peace.

Toga however was not in love with her and unfortunately never fell in love with her doing their entire duration of their marriage.

Kimi dutifully agreed to the marriage and was polite and cordial as she was, as well as Toga and soon after they got married little by little he personally won her over and got closer and closer to him and built a friendship with him even.

she was guarded at first but soon allowed him in over time and eventually fell for him, by the time she did. He saw a kinder side to her as well, he didn't initially know was there.

she never met someone so unabashedly kind, respectful and compassionate before to both demons and humans. Emotionally open and honest, but with this deep respect and reverence for life, not wanting to harm anyone.

They were married for u tot he demon equlivant of 13 years, she knew her loves one sided but she couldn't help her feelings and it stayed that way until he died.

Toga divorced Kimi, she wants bitter, sad but not mad. He had grown very fond of her and they built a good friendship which made him place the maedo stone in her hands. She regained the throne of her land and could trust their was peace between their two lands and returned to his.

He didn't meet Izayoi until years later so she wants the root cause of it.

Clearly Kirinmaru wasn't salty with Toga cause of some prophecy, or whatnot

I still think about this role reversal AU once in a while. wanted to draw some of their family members so. Here's some modern day students Inuyasha and Kikyo, Dad wearing polo Inutaisho with his wife, Izayoi and his ex-wife, Inukimi. And Mama Higurashi and Sota--whom after was born, Kagome was sent to a shrine due to her spiritual gifts but then returned as his general once a yokai war broke out. He might be in charge of the family but she still lets him know who's boss. Oh, and Sess as a kendo kid lol.
