i had a dream last night that i organized a tumblr meetup and we all agreed to go to a local bar together. so i go to the bar but it was a really busy night and i didn't want to ask every stranger "are u here for tumblr reasons" bc that's embarrassing and i'm shy. so i just got a drink and felt very awkward & hoped someone would approach me. tried to look inviting and like i was from tumblr but not like i was "from tumblr". when i left some girl stopped me to ask if i was there for the meetup but i was too shy and asked what's tumblr?

in the dream i went home to make a post about how nobody showed up to the tumblr meetup but my entire dash was people saying they'd gone to the bar but were too fucking shy to admit to being on tumblr so we'd all just had a drink and gone home

Supernatural Cops

The fandom has come to the conclusion that all kinds of supernatural or unusual things happen in Amity Park and people take it like any other Tuesday.

Still, I wouldn't be surprised if this place is the only place in the country (not to say the world) that has a police division in charge of handling Cults…

Yes, in Amity Park there is a group of police (not to say half of all the police in the city) that are dedicated to controlling cults and their peculiarities, because we must remember that, despite the reputation of being a tourist trap, this town in the middle of nowhere has the reputation of being the most haunted place in the country (or the world), so it wouldn't be crazy to say that on certain dates of the year many "tourists" (cough cultists cough) arrive who come in order to do "events" (cough rites cough), so whether they want it or not, someone has to control that the limits on how they are "celebrating" are not broken… and to top it off, the limits of what the city considers acceptable is a greater margin than other places, so it has become common for some groups to come back later.

So yes, Amity Park has one of the most effective police departments in dealing with cults and supernatural beliefs, not only are they effective in identifying participants, most of the time they know what kind of cultist they are dealing with, whether they are just playing a game or are the real magic business and how dangerous/troublesome they will be in the end.

What's more, this group is so good at what they do, that many times the inhabitants of Amity Park prefer to call them instead of the GIW (they are too destructive and there is still no 100% reliable insurance that will pay for the damages they cause), when it comes to a problem with a ghost and the ghost child is not around.

and that competition is more noticeable when other cities in the country begin to ask for help with some unknown cults that are appearing rap

Thinking about Chaggie and Charlie in her young courting days off “impress pretty roommate/friend” so she wants to send things like bouquets with little notes and nice things in them but she just can’t quite nail what she wants to say resulting in her entire trash bin being filled with crumpled up notes of cute little things all centered around Vaggie

Cue Razzle and Dazzle, sick of her pining, just deciding to take the bouquet and ALL the notes and placing them in a pile in Vaggie’s room before taking some handfuls and just subtly passing them to her all throughout the day :3 it stays their little secret until sometime later when Chaggie have been dating for a few months and Vaggie reveals her love for Charlie’s silly pick up lines

Charlie: "PEH."

Vaggie: "Just like you."

Charlie: "I'm not ready for flattery. AND I'm NOT coming out of my blankets. I'm NEVER coming out of my blankets ever again!"

Vaggie: "That's okay. You make a very cute dejection burrito."

Charlie: "IM NOT A CUTE DEJECTION BURRITO!"

Vaggie: "How about if you're my cute dejection burrito?"

Our flight landing was delayed because of a storm. We were up there for 3 hours. I was blasting Epic:The Musical's Storm saga as I watch the flashing lightning around us and the pilot announcing for the 4th time that we are can't land yet again. This really IS what Odysseus felt.

I need more of Lindon with the Dreadgod cults

I need his interactions with the Silent King's cult who see him as a replacement for their god and say that they don't worship him but he knows damn well they still do. Also they just kind of appeared and he doesn't know where they came from.

I need him with Redmoon Hall because they went under his banner because of Yerin promising them safety and now he just has a dreadgod cult with him that he doesn't know what to do with.

Abyssal Palace probably hate him after Sky's Edge 💀💀

The Stormcallers are a wild card but Lindon definitely holds a grudge on the behalf of Ziel/his opinion is influenced by what Ziel went through. I also think the Stormcallers will be wary of him because of it because Ziel was THE Dawnwing and this is his friend so...

Also Lindon canonically distrusts anyone who decides to join a dreadgod cult. Hell, YERIN is more understanding. Thanks to her chat with Yan Shoumei and Calan Archer she understands that for some people it's resources and that not all cultists are bad and that they are just trying to make it in the world and they aren't all so bad actually. Lindon just don't like them.

I just realized the most tragic thing - that I cannot gush about 31st October being Dziady / Forefathers' Eve because it's a Polish thing and none of my mutuals know what it is and no really good translation of the dramatic works exists to have them read it :(((

It's like a traditional Polish Halloween and nowadays it's mainly known from Adam Mickiewicz's (he's to Poland what Shakespeare is to England) 4-part drama centered around it. It follows a tortured poet (my blorbo, I love him) during the time Poland was partitioned and erased from the maps, its people oppressed but always fighting back. It is one of the most important and culturally significant Polish works ever created. And it's got, like so many themes, so many themes you guys. It's one of my favorite works ever one of my all-time dreams is to play Konrad, a protag from part 3.

Forgive me if this has already been answered or too basic for your depth of knowledge ;-; what are your favorite biomes? I have a place in my heart for taiga regions! I think I'm becoming more of a bog, swamp, marsh appreciator esp since I lived near wetlands for a while and only realized how special that can be after I left, specifically the beautiful birds that would visit

omfg the thought of saying that is so funny for some reason 😭 i deem you UNWORTHY of my glorious, near-omniscient environmental knowledge

but fr. marshlands are amazing, so full of biodiversity—the bird species!!!! plants sp!!! marshes/wetlands in general are incredibly undervalued by the public though, it’s so sad. like i hate hearing about all the drainage that happened decades ago :((

i love grasslands/prairies though 🫣🫣 i live for wide open spaces and the entire open sky, flat land in all directions is both heaven and hell to me… it drives me insane in a good way!! mountains or hills in the far distance? even better. gives me chills

for biodiversity it obviously isn’t ideal but in terms of climatic regulation?? oooh. grassland/prairie soils 😍
