Easy Ways to Kitchen Witch
Tumblr media
If you're new to the craft, or if your path is recently at a cross roads where you're feeling more drawn to kitchen witchcraft, you might be looking for some easy ways to start. So often when you picture Kitchen Witchcraft, you think of elaborate meals of baked goods beautifully decorated. And sure, that can be part of it; but if you try to make Instagram worthy food for every meal, you'll burn out real quick. So how can you Be a Kitchen Witch without braking bank or burning out?
Stirring your intentions
This is going to be brought up any time talking about Witchcraft and Food, so I figured I'd get it out of the way first. The idea being if you want to add energy or personal intention to food, so that when it's consumed the magic activates. A lot of witches swear by: Stir Clock Wise to Add, Stir Counter Clockwise to banish (Get rid of bad stuff in food). I've mentioned this before, I personally don't feel like this makes a difference. Instead, what makes a difference is stirring towards you to add Energy and intentions. Stir away from you to Banish or remove. Which direction is Towards/Away? Whatever way feels right to you.
The neat thing about stirring is you can do it with any food or drink. You don't need to be actively cooking to do some stirring. You can use a straw, a fork, a spatula; whatever. And if you have something that can't be stirred, like a slice of pizza, try turning the plate.
Candle to Raise Power
Any time you're cooking in the kitchen, or doing anything in the kitchen, consider lighting a candle. I have a round candle holder with a lid that I wash and reuse. Just plop a tea light or votive candle in there. Candles are great at heightening the energy in a room, and as someone who's struggled with depression and motivation, I've found this little ritual/routine helps gets me going.
A few tips, first you wanna make sure the candle is in a place where you can see it but not in a place where it may get in the way. I keep mine on the back of my prep counter. Next, avoid strong scented candles. Scented candles can be great for a lot of occasions, but the smell of the candle can muddle or mute the smell of the food. Finally, as with any time you use candles, please practice good fire safety.
Spell Ingredient Correlations can Carry Over to Food
Have you done extensive research on Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme? Well I got good news! All of that research was not for nothing! Herbs and Spices used in Witchcraft and Spells are commonly used in food. If you use cinnamon in a lot of your spell work for prosperity and success, try throwing some in your food with similar intentions and see how it goes.
Granted, this is not going to apply to every spell ingredient as many plants used in witchcraft are toxic. Or at the very lest can be problematic when consumed in large amounts or if pregnant. So please use some caution and common sense. A little research can take you a long way.
Simmer Pots
These are great ways to elevate your home's energy. Also a good way to use up some dried ingredients that's been laying around. A simmer pot is not anything special. You can take any small pot you got, fill it about halfway with water, add dried or fresh herbs, and leave it on the lowest heat setting on your stove, uncovered. Everything will simmer and release amazing aromas and energy. The properties of the ingredients in your pot can release into the air of your home. This can be good to do in colder months when cleaning. Just warms up everything.
Saucy Symbols and Sigils
If your oils and sauces are in easy pour bottles, consider getting a little creative when you use it. Gunna put some Ketchup or Siracha on that? Why not draw a pentacle. Oiling a pan? Maybe cook your food in a symbol of infinity or life. Or create your own symbols and meanings. Add them to your food to help elevate their magic. You may feel limited by the pour spout, but remember it comes down to intention. But if it makes you feel better, you can always transfer your sauces to bottles with more precise pour.
Make a Magic Potion
If you are not a huge fan of Cooking or Baking, remember there's still options for Kitchen Witchcraft. Magic Drinks. You can infuse your magic into syrups, juices, teas, cocktails, mocktails, smoothies, and more. There are options for people who can't consume alcohol, caffeine, dairy, sugar, any dietary restriction. I think I a lot of people write this option off because they think it focuses too much on alcohol or they don't like tea/coffee. But there's a lot of options when it comes of conjuring drinks.
Cook with Sun and Moon Water
If you're not familiar with Moon water, it's fairly easy to make. You fill a glass jar and leave it out in moonlight to charge with moon energy. Same idea for Sun Water. I find Sun Water is better for general Cooking and Moon Water is better for Teas as the energy from moon water is more mellow.
Adding some Solar Energy with Sun water to soups or to cook your rice and pasta in can help infuse your food with some Solar energy. It ups the overall energy and power of the magic in the food, as well as adds success and thus increases the chance of things working. There's also many other benefits, but listing them all might be worth their own post.
Kitchen Witchcraft is more than Cooking
I think the most important thing to remember is that Kitchen Witchcraft is not just food. Kitchens are often the heart of a home, and many things will go on and get done in a kitchen. Family meetings or get togethers may happen in the kitchen, people may do their reading or web surfing there. Or maybe it's where they do their homework or paperwork. They may do their hobbies at the table or counter. There's more than just food going on in the Kitchen.
So, feel free to expand out. Do some crafts with kitchen supplies or for your kitchen. Protective charms and garlands made out of cinnamon sticks and other items. Or just try other kinds of Magic. Maybe you like the idea of knot magic and want to try knitting a protective scarf. Or you like plants and want to get into garden magic. You don't need to stay in some box; try some stuff out!

Baxter Ward Headcanon - Lunch Dates
Gender neutral | SFW Fluff | Baxter Ward x MC
First headcanon, hope ya enjoy!
Tumblr media
🍁 Being a wedding planner is no easy feat! From planning bigger details like the wedding theme to smaller details like stainless steel or wooden cutlery. That's where Baxter's diligence, organization, and flexibility (📏) comes in handy!
🍁 However, planning such grand events also means our Victorian emo boy tends to skips out on lunch to get more work done. Especially during bigger assignments!
🍁 Since you know he usually only has a black coffee in the morning, you decide to suggest you both get lunch breaks together! It takes a bit of convincing, he wouldn't want to inconvenience you, but in the end he can't resist a chance to spend more time with his charming MC~
Baxter: "You're worried about me skipping meals? Well, my schedule can get hectic. Are you sure it wouldn't trouble you? I wouldn't want to get in the way of what you have to do… Although I'll admit, a chance to see your charming self sounds lovely. Alright then, having lunch dates sounds excellent~"
🍁 His lunch breaks are an hour long. Before your lunch dates he usually didn't use the full time (only the required 30 min) because…
Baxter: (on the phone) "What do you mean the tablecloths are cotton and not linen?? Linda, stay put, I'm on my way."
However, he does try to remain the whole hour with you when your lunch dates begin. He adjusts letting the wedding couple know he will be gone for an hour, but as soon as the break is over they'll have his undivided attention.
🍁 It takes a bit of getting used to at the beginning. He can't help but check his phone when notifications come in, for example. As long as it's not an emergency, you gently remind him it's his time and to enjoy the snack in front of him.
Baxter: "But darling, you're the whole damn meal~"
🍁 He prefers to eat out rather than stay in the office. To avoid co-workers asking questions that lead to him helping to find that one file, and answer that call, oh and he has to call this one place-
🍁 He quickly comes to look forward to your little lunch dates. Seeing how passionately you talk about your interests and the smile on your face when you eat your favorite snack has him smitten!!
🍁 You guys are gossip buddies. Neither of you share anything hurtful, but you two also can't help talking about the shenanigans that go on at your respective workplaces.
Baxter: "One morning Michael came in complaining about a speed bump on the highway…I ponder who he ran over." (Sips coffee casually)
🍁 Baxter's eyes sparkle if you surprise him with a homemade meal. Especially touched if you remember his preferences; such as something pescatarian or something with peaches. You don't have to worry about your cooking skills, your intention matters more to him! His co-workers will notice he's extra chipper that afternoon.
🍁 In return, he'll also prepare a lunch for both of you the night before. He plans to make something that's only a "tad" extra, but always gets carried away and creates the most Instagram/Pinterest worthy aesthetic lunches you ever did see.
Baxter: "It's just a little something to thank you for the other day." 💜
🍁 You both agree to meet at a chill little park near work when you make lunches for each other. You have a special picnic blanket for the occasion that's so comfy you almost lose track of time.
🍁 On days where you can't meet up, you either face call each other or simply text each other to make sure the other has eaten.
💬 Yes, darling I just finished off lunch. It was great, I would've enjoyed it far more with your company, but alas! How about you, have you eaten yet?
🍁 Sometimes you send donuts, muffins and other treats to Baxter's office where he shares with his co-workers. His co-workers like you very much for this reason, haha! It also gives Baxter the opportunity to make more friends.
🍁 Over lunch, he occasionally brings up some wedding planning hitches. You help him figure out solutions when he's stumped.
Baxter: "Darling you're brilliant! Perhaps you're due for a reward? Are you free tonight? I'd love to show you my gratitude~"
Overall, meeting for lunch gives you both another opportunity to take care of each other. He feels the stress melt away as soon as he sees his favorite person and it makes his lunch that much sweeter.

Mini list of dating headcanons for the Yakuza 7 boys. Once I reopen the inbox, asks for any of these characters are valid! Will post the girlies in a separate list. Have a great weekend my loves.
Ichiban Kasuga
To put it in one word, a simp. Really, Ichiban just loves with his whole heart, head, and ass. When he has crushes, he crushes on them HARD. However, he is also insanely oblivious so if you're hinting at reciprocating, he just won't notice.
Having said that, he isn't exactly shy and will eventually work up the courage to ask you out. He's pretty good at consistently asking you out for dates and is considerate of your likes and dislikes. He will fall asleep during movies though if you don't poke him every now and then.
Likes hugging his romantic partner more than anything, even more than sex. Ichiban honestly doesn't have much of a sex drive but he does have extremely high endurance so if you do catch him in the mood, you better not have any other plans that day because you will just be stuck with him.
Tianyou Zhao
Natural flirt and he knows it. He's coy, but never smug as he's worried about saying something offensive. Smooth talker on the outside but biggest sweetie on the inside. Secretly loses his mind every single time he sees you. Honestly, the best way to figure out if he's into you is just to catch him staring at you, which he will do just about every chance he gets.
Most dates with Zhao are dinner dates, either at a restaurant or just a homecooked meal in his apartment. He also eats just about anything so if you want to cook him something, especially from your own culture, he would be honored to try it! He also loves sharing his Chinese cooking with you. His culture matters a lot to him an openminded and receptive partner is a must.
Genuinely and truly a verse, so whatever mood you're in, he'll follow suit accordingly. Actually gets most turned on simply by undressing you. Out of all the boys in Yakuza 7, he's the cuddliest. Kind of just turns into a puddle in your lap if you let him.
Joon-Gi Han
Won't admit it but he's kind of dumb as hell when it comes to dating. Whereas Ichiban is only oblivious to things like subtle hints or less than obvious flirting, Joon-Gi is kind of just a brick wall. He literally won't know you're into him until you say so. At the same time, he's so direct that he would just confess to you directly himself anyways.
Pretty casual when it comes to dates. He's new at this so whatever you suggest sounds good to him. The easiest for him is shopping as he's pretty into fashion. Would totally pick out matching outfits with you and proceed to do a whole Instagram worthy photoshoot with said outfits.
People always assume he's a top but he's totally a power bottom. He gets embarrassed when he tops and just starts getting flustered. Most gentle kisser in the world. Likes just holding your hand and measuring the difference between the size of your hands and his.

i need to be honest. it feels like im the only person alive who feels like this i feel so alone on this. about 2 years ago when i started recovering i did it because my 3d got so bad it scared me into recovery. my mind was already foggy enough but one day it just hit me so hard that i felt completely empty, brain frog and just nothing. i mean NOTHING. i started little by little, bruh i even made one of those recovery accounts for myself on instagram to make myself feel worthy of recovery. after awhile my brain made me binge so hard on everything i gained weight again and i was stuck binging and after 2 years im physically recovered at a healthy weight. healthy to society but not me or 4n4 community i mean come on. im so mentally fucked from it all i still think about food and my next meals and count cals but im just stuck in my ugly recovered body i feel like a whale. i felt this way for so long. its so bad that it interferes with my relationship by me getting literally jealous of every skinny girl that he sees. bruh even fucking anime girls. so embarrassing but its true. i feel so bad because we're both nerds and love anime but i get so jealous of every anime girl on screen bc damn they r so thin and pretty. BUT IK HOW STUPID THAT IS BC COME ONNNNNN!!!! my point is this stems from my 3d and my desire to be thin and pretty again. once i am i will feel much better with him and myself. so ya. another thing is how my 3d impacted me. it has taken away my happiness in life. once again i love anime and video games, all that stuff but i cant enjoy getting into new things anymore or trying new things. fuck i cant even do the things i used to love anymore. i used to draw and do graphic design but my motivation is gone. omg thats right!! and i get sad when my hubby is doing his own thing and im just sitting there doing nothing but like watching tiktok or staring at the wall. its so bad :c my only fun is making outfits on roblox, talking to my hubby when hes paying attention to me, listening to music and chatting w ppl on video games. theres so much more i want to do but at the same time i dont want to :( theres a lot more i can say but im so tired typing all this now so i'll stop here for now. if you read this whole thing HIII thank you for reading c,: stay safe <3

Still-Life Artist Turns Popular Junk Food Into Oil Paintings That Belong in a Museum
by Emma Taggart - My Modern Met, October 21, 2024
Tumblr media
When you think of still-life paintings, you probably imagine Paul Cézanne’s depictions of fruit or maybe even Vincent van Gogh’s Sunflowers. But the tradition of still-life painting has been around for centuries, long before these masters, and actually continues to thrive today.
The everyday objects around us make great subjects for artists—not just to sharpen their skills, but also to capture a moment in time. Tallahassee, Florida-based Noah Verrier is one contemporary artist who’s keeping the still-life genre alive. He paints modern-day junk food in rich, glossy oils, creating masterpieces that evoke the style of the Old Masters.
From a McDonald’s Happy Meal to a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, Verrier’s paintings turn popular cravings into worthy works of art. Even cans of Coca-Cola, Pepsi, and Mountain Dew are immortalized on Verrier’s canvases, elevated as iconic objects for years to come.
By blending the old with the new, Verrier’s paintings have captivated art lovers who are drawn to nostalgia. One piece, featuring a Smucker’s Uncrustable with raspberry filling oozing out, recently sold for $4,999 at auction. His unique style has even caught the attention of brands like Dunkin' Donuts, Popeyes, Little Caesars, and Philadelphia Cream Cheese, who have all commissioned custom oil paintings of their products.
For Verrier, the work isn’t just about securing brand deals; it’s about discovering beauty and meaning in everyday items. “There’s a loving care you can give to these objects,” he says. “There’s the idea that the subject doesn’t matter, but maybe through this wet-on-wet, alla prima technique, and through gesture, you can inject some kind of emotion. You’re putting yourself into that piece, even if it’s cheesy, and that’s why it works.”

When Gemma suddenly becomes the caretaker of her orphaned 8-year-old niece, Cady (Violet McGraw, The Haunting of Hill House), Gemma's unsure and unprepared to be a parent. Under intense pressure at work, Gemma decides to pair her M3GAN prototype with Cady in an attempt to resolve both problems--a decision that will have unimaginable consequences.
5. INFLUENCER
INFLUENCER tells the story of Madison (Emily Tennant, "Riverdale"), a popular social media influencer who is having a lonely and uneventful trip in Thailand despite what she tells her followers on Instagram. While reflecting on her boyfriend canceling the trip, she meets CW (Cassandra Naud, "See"), a fearless and enigmatic traveler who offers to take her to some of the most Instagram-worthy locations. Together they share authentic meals and drinks with locals, discussing the differences between Madison's online presence and CW's lack of one. After showing Madison all of the amazing sights, things take a different turn when CW brings her to a surprise location -- a deserted island that is completely off the grid.
6. BROOKLYN 45
Friday, December 27, 1945. Five military veterans gather in the ornate parlor of a Brooklyn brownstone. Best friends since childhood, they've reunited to support their troubled host -- but when his invitation for cocktails turns into an impromptu séance, the metaphoric ghosts of their past become all-too-literal. Trapped in their host's lounge, the Greatest Generation now finds themselves put to one final test... with their only route to freedom being more bloodshed.
7. TOTALLY KILLER
Thirty-five years after the shocking murder of three teens, the infamous "Sweet Sixteen Killer" returns on Halloween night to claim a fourth victim. Seventeen-year-old Jamie (Kiernan Shipka) ignores her overprotective mom's (Julie Bowen) warning and comes face-to-face with the masked maniac and, on the run for her life, accidentally time travels back to 1987, the year of the original killings. Forced to navigate the unfamiliar and outrageous culture of the 1980s, Jamie teams up with her teen mom (Olivia Holt) to take down the killer once and for all, before she's stuck in the past forever.
8. THE BLACKENING
The Blackening centers around a group of Black friends who reunite for a Juneteenth weekend getaway only to find themselves trapped in a remote cabin with a twisted killer. Forced to play by his rules, the friends soon realize this ain't no motherfu**in' game. Directed by Tim Story (Ride Along, Think Like A Man, Barbershop) and co-written by Tracy Oliver (Girls Trip, Harlem) and Dewayne Perkins (The Amber Ruffin Show, Brooklyn Nine-Nine), The Blackening skewers genre tropes and poses the sardonic question: if the entire cast of a horror movie is Black, who dies first?
9. SICK
As the pandemic steadily brings the world to a halt, Parker and her best friend Miri decide to quarantine at the family lake house alone--or so they think.
10. INFINITY POOL
While staying at an isolated island resort, James (Alexander Skarsgård) and Em (Cleopatra Coleman) are enjoying a perfect vacation of pristine beaches, exceptional staff, and soaking up the sun. But guided by the seductive and mysterious Gabi (Mia Goth), they venture outside the resort grounds and find themselves in a culture filled with violence, hedonism, and untold horror. A tragic accident leaves them facing a zero tolerance policy for crime: either you'll be executed, or, if you're rich enough to afford it, you can watch yourself die instead.

Could you do personality or ideal type reading for ryo Yoshizawa? Or maybe both lol😭?
Only one hun, since I'm interested in his ideal type I'll look into that....
Tumblr media
Body- Someone with breathtaking looks, beautiful hands, looks foreign, nice butt, no wrinkles (looks young), (this isn't really about appearance but it popped up) 👉 strong mental health
This is a visualized example:
Tumblr media
Personality- He wants someone aggressive about seeking justice in the world and fighting for worthy causes that can impact others life. Has high levels of integrity and morals, not superficial or problematic but actually does things or post things on social media of actual value. (May look like an Instagram influencer but doesn't use their Instagram for superficial and nonsensical things). He wouldn't mind a long distance relationship, just as long as his partner is a great communicator and can stimulate him mentally. He wants an intoxicating lover, smells and tastes delicious, looks like a whole meal and can enjoy the good things of life. (This is usually prominent wants from a Taurus, so I wonder if that's in his chart). He wants someone that's easy to pleasure, like not overly picky. He wants someone that can be a guiding light for him during times that he feels blind and in the dark. (A beacon of light in a dark tunnel). He likes women with high self esteem and not insecure whatsoever. He really likes to talk, wants a partner that can be a great listener and can be witty.
Sexual Wants- he wants to be wowed, likes oral (receiving), orgys, public sex, wants partner to make a lot of noise, wants an aggressive and straight to the point partner, dirty talk, he wants to be with foreigners, role-playing, wants partner to wear lingerie/costumes, wants to be pampered
Gingerbread man by Melanie Martinez is a song that fits this readings energy

(Would probably look more Instagram worthy if I made quinoa or brown rice instead of Japanese white rice but I only buy one kind of rice at a time)

D.C’s Best Picnic Spots!
Tumblr media
Where to go, what to bring
Dining al fresco in D.C. doesn’t have to break the bank. In fact, if you want to avoid making reservations, waiting in line and eating elbow-to-elbow with strangers, planning a picnic is a great alternative. There are so many scenic (Instagram-worthy) spots to throw down a blanket and enjoy this simple and charming tradition. Here we’re sharing some of the best places in D.C. for a picnic – as well as some tips to make your picnic pleasant for all involved.
Hauling your provisions
Although traditional picnic baskets are cute, your best bet is to purchase a modern, sensible picnic backpack since activities in D.C. typically involve walking some distance from your car or taking the metro and hauling a heavy hand-held basket will be cumbersome. Check Amazon for some great options. You can find backpacks with comfortable padded straps and efficiently organized compartments for cutlery, plates, napkins, a cooler, a blanket and more. You might want to invest in two backpacks and share the load with a friend.
Picnic food ideas
Reimagine the ordinary sandwich, chips, and soda. Take it up a notch and serve baguettes; or take it up two notches with quiche, charcuterie boards, fancy salads, and refreshing cocktails. Make sure most of your meal consists of finger foods (easy to eat) so you don’t have to worry about multiple plates/cutlery. And don’t forget dessert!
Another culinary option: order food-to-go from your favorite D.C. restaurant. You’ll still need a method to transport it to your picnic destination, but letting someone else prepare and pack the meal will involve less work on your end.
Don’t forget to pack
Sunscreen
Anti-bacterial wipes
Wet naps
Garbage bags
Bug spray
Places to picnic
We’re providing some tried-and-true venues here, but there are so many more possibilities. Wherever your destination, make sure you learn about parking options (or Metro stops) in advance. Also, do a little research to make sure your spot is picnic friendly and open for visitors.
Tumblr media
Between Constitution and Independence Ave., SW
Known as “America’s Front Yard,” this iconic spot is punctuated by the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument and flanked by Smithsonian museums. The long, grassy swath is often crowded, but people-watching can be just as fun as gazing at the patriotic landmarks.
Tumblr media
1100 Ohio Drive SW
Located at the southern tip of East Potomac Park between the main branch of the Potomac River and the Washington Channel, Hains Point offers beautiful views of the Potomac River, the Anacostia River and the Washington Channel. It’s an ideal spot for bird watching and also has a playground and restrooms. A four-mile loop allows you to take in the many different species of cherry trees while hiking or biking.
Tumblr media
Located on the Potomac River and accessible by George Washington Memorial Parkway
This 90-acre island is a memorial to America’s 26th president and features miles of trails through wooded uplands and swampy bottomlands. Ranger-led programs are available.
Tumblr media
16th Street and W Street NW
A spectacular cascading fountain, reflecting pool, statues, and more will be your backdrop at Meridian Hill Park (also known as Malcolm X Park). If you’re there on a Sunday afternoon, you’ll most likely be able to watch a full-blown weekly drum circle party starting at 3 p.m., a tradition that began in the 1960s.
The Yards Park (and Dancing Fountains)
355 Water Street SE
This public space along the Anacostia River has gardens, water features, a dog run, a boardwalk and a shaded overlook.
Tumblr media
Wisconsin and K St., NW
This 10-acre park curves along the Potomac River shoreline and includes a large fountain, benches, overlooks and large open lawn areas. A labyrinth with geometric turns encourages quiet contemplation as you wind your way from the outer edge to the center. Stadium-like steps leading to the river edge are a favorite place for picnickers.
Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden
Independence Ave. SW and 7th St. SW
The sculpture garden is free to enter, offering more than 30 works of contemporary and modern art displayed year-round — and picnics are permitted.

In light of the "Least Favorite Vegetable" Poll:
Eggplant: The little Italian restaurant on 9th Street market in the heart of Philly. It's been around since the 1950's and probably hasn't been renovated in that time. The waitress looks a bit like Monica Bellucci and has an accent that borders on caricature. She recommends the Eggplant Parmesan. After a few tries you delete the photos off your phone, nothing Instagram-worthy here, but she's right: it's absolutely delicious.
Brussels Sprout / Parsnips / Turnip: Big family dinner at an [Redacted]'s house. There's this side dish of roasted vegetables with a balsamic honey glaze. It single-handedly changes your entire view on brussels sprouts, and after dinner you find yourself in your aunt's kitchen getting into the leftovers. One of those meals you'll never forget, except you do, everything but for that one side dish. You didn't know it then, but it's the last time your entire family is together.
Bell Pepper / Onion: Spicy cumin beef from the nearby Szechuan fusion restaurant is a big comfort food for the both of you, despite your low tolerance for spicy foods. You pick out the spicy peppers, leaving the crispy bell pepper and scallions, but even with rice to cut down on the burn, you'll suffer for this. The pain is worth it.
Artichoke: It's 3 a.m. and you're eating marinated artichoke hearts and Kalamata olives straight out of the jar, fridge door open, like a raccoon in a trash bin.
Kale: Sprinkled with olive oil and salt, torn up kale leaves lose their bitterness when baked down into crispy, flavorful, entirely addictive "chips". It's a little labor intensive and a little magical. Kale is a super food, but like many vegetables, the thick cellulose walls can't be broken down by humans, so cooking or blending increases the bioavailability of it's nutrients. You help him make several batches for [Redacted], a friend who is losing the battle against colon cancer.
Radish: A tiny one-room sod roof cabin in Iceland. You don't realize how much weight you're carrying everyday until it's lifted off your shoulders. Every country has it's own problems, but here he's not [this] and you're not [that], you're just a couple of Americans. The constant, low-key fear of getting shot is gone. It's liberating, it's enthralling, it's transient and you'll have to go back home soon. But for now, you have a light picnic of sweet tangy crunchy French breakfast radishes, sliced and spread with butter and a pinch of coarse salt, and crisp glacial water from the tap.

I don't know why I'm here again
it feels somewhat juvenile to be back here again. but somehow it feels that I'm supposed to be here. be here because it echoes of a time where this was the place to be - the place where sadness was allowed. and I'm here again because I feel all the feelings and I hate the world for making me feel this way. and I hate myself for feeling this way. maybe I'm here because writing in my journal means I have to have perfect handwriting. and having perfect handwriting means my hands begin to hurt. and this time I'm feeling so much that I have to write more than usual and I can't write all that much because my hands will start to hurt. which is a sign of weakness. I feel weak and I feel like a failure. I feel all the pressure in the world to be perfect. to have the perfect nose and the perfect face. the perfect hair and the perfect silhouette. the perfect instagram with the perfect outfits. with film edits and an artistic aesthetic unique to me. an aesthetic no one has. just me. just me the perfect human that everyone wishes to be. I'm older now. and I've grown. so I wonder why I'm here again. and hate that I'm here again. because it means it'll take 10 years of healing just to be back here again. and I don't have that kind of time. I need to be perfect now. because other people are perfect now. and I am not. and there's noise all around me. telling me to be positive. not to compare myself. that I just shouldn't tell myself that I'm pathetic and a failure. that I just shouldn't feel these things. and I just need to tell myself. like it's easy. and then that noise will tell you it's not easy. so don't expect it to be. and then again you're weak because you can't do the hard thing. you can't do the hard thing of not feeling this way. it's an endless cycle of negativity. and the noise tells us not to be negative. but I can't get it out of my brain. I just can't can't can't get it out of my brain. so what do you do then? what do I do to get out of my brain? go on a walk. get on the treadmill. eat a healthy meal. wake up on time. make yourself get ready (in the perfect outfit of course). make yourself go outside where all the germs will infect you and make you feel dirty. when you already feel so dirty for being the person that you can't help to be. and it's exhausting this cycle and you get out of it by distracting yourself. distracting yourself with the very same things that make you feel this way. and then when you say enough, enough. let me get up and do the things I'm supposed to do. then your brain goes off and makes you feel this way. so the cycle goes on and the tears flow and they won't stop. then your face is puffy and you're uglier than you were. the ugly you that's not perfect. and never will be. so I ask myself how did I get to be here again? and let out a sigh and a breath. my throat is dry and my eyes are tired. and then I must gulp down the water that presses on my bladder. so I need to get up and pee but what an effort that is. because then I must wash my hands because I'm dirty again. and my hands are dry from washing off all the dirtiness. washing over and over again. washing off the dirt that will never come off because you're you and you're dirt and you're dirt and you're dirt. and then I'll read this back and feel unintelligent. because this writing isn't eloquent and it won't win an oscar. hell it won't ever become a script because you're too lazy to write it. and because the writing will never be worthy of the world that drains you anyways. so why do it at all and why be here at all? why live this life that's so dark and imperfect. so sad and so unchangeable. so unforgiving and so harsh. my throat is dry and my eyes are tired. my face is puffy and I have to pee.
so the cycle continues
and it won't end
won't end
it'll never end
never end
so end your life, end your life
and then you won't be back
you won't be back
be back here again
