Helloooo while I'm here I wanna ask so- the song that was out of nowhere released on the smg4 spotify

I didn't see anything (also can't check twitter rn if anything's on there about it) and I listened to it right and it's.... odd? I wonder if it's like, intentional. As in that they meant to put it out, especially cuz to me, as I think about it.... it feels- AI generated? I mean, hopefully it's not but there is a chance that it could be.

BUT if they weren't hacked on spotify, something I've never heard before- but if they weren't hacked and it isn't AI generated, what could it be possibly for? Especially because it's so different from music they released before.

ah yes, the flareglow situation, hmmm. Haven't heard anyone from the Team come out with an official comment, so we're gonna have to make some concrete "assumptions"...

Scenario 1: Spotify Sucks

We all are no strangers to social media platforms glitching out/not working. There were even several times when all the songs disappeared from the SMG4 profile. So the simple answer is: Spotify just sucks.

Plus, I did look around and, according to @/Minions_Fanboy on twitter, the real artist is smgwave/smg4wave on tiktok. I haven't been able to find the user (yet), but we'll see.

In other words, the assumption that most people had about the "account got hacked" is completely valid.

Scenario 2: The Strangest Clue

Everyone, put on your tinfoil hats because we're about to get silly! :) If this was meant to be intentional, then this is definitely the strangest puzzle (haha get it) we had so far.

song is posted on spotify, apple music, heart radio, and youtube (those topic channels but no the SMG4 one)

4. then we have the lyrics, which I tried my best to decipher:

(I had to listen this on loop to get it close enough holy shit) ANYWAY I can totally see the AI vibes coming from. Since no one has come out to confirm if this really was AI, either way I say "ew". If this is the Team trolling/teasing us (which they kinda have been), then this is one from the music department going "lmao gottem".

But if this is supposed to be part of a puzzle.... (oh no, not the FNAF box goddammit)

Would it be weird for me to say that the beginning of Flareglow is a slower arrangement to Mr Puzzles "It's TV Time" theme??? (ok you can boo me off the stage now) I listened to it side-by-side and some of the beats sounded familiar but maybe my mind has really gone coo coo crazy

apparently someone said that there was a bit of Mario 64 motif in it, especially at the end (not confirmed and still searching)

Not that I support AI (and don't think anyone in Team does) but having it sound like AI may communicate that "something is wrong" and that we the audience would suspect it. Plus the electro beat gives off the glitch effect.

Cover's obviously made in GMod but somehow it's both unassuming and bizarre. We are all familiar with how the SMG4 show uses GMod and their song covers, but you wouldn't think this cover and song would belong to SMG4. It's meant to throw us off and perhaps ignore it entirely. Make us forget about it. The logic is:

SMG4 characters on cover = song's from SMG4

Based on the (awful) lyrics, the singer (Person A) is in the perspective of uplifting someone else (Person B) against a common enemy, final-battle sort of situation. Alluding to a future arc perhaps?

Whoever Person A is, they have been observing how much Person B trying to improve themselves/their powers ("training" being emphasized so many times). Whether it's to level up their skills or to control them, and yes they're two different things. The first people you could think of are SMG4 & 3, it's been a while since they have done some meme guardian power training, and are likely to have character development/arc. And personally, it's giving IGBP vibes. BUT it could also be Melony with her God powers and we did see her God form in the WOTFI '24 arc, but wasn't able to beat against Mr Puzzles (Maybe it was due to her lack of training?)

Regardless, Person B would have to face a moral dilemma. In the events within the song, Person B might have to make a choice that may be out of character for them to do, but for the sake of the world, they have to. Person A reminds them that it isn't out of character at all, and it's based on what Person B believes in. And Person A knows them too well to know that.

They're both running out of time and Person B may feel insecure about using the skills/powers they have been training for, but the choice Person B makes would be to save everyone. Person A & B together. If they lose, it would really be over.

Watch it be entirely wrong by someone from the Team LOL. Well anyway, those are my thoughts and if anyone has anything, send an ask/comment!

If we strangely get a confirmation that it was intentionally released by the Team, I might make this song an honorable mention to the goop!4 website ig

I like how rise takes the time to establish that Leo Mikey are actually close most of the time throughout tmnt they don't really interact much as best buds it's more like Leo scolding Mikey like a parent sure they have sweet moments but like that's all they are I wanna see the two hanging out more you know? so I really do appreciate rise for making the two closer than they usually are in other tmnt series I adore their brotherly love.

I know, right! In rise, Leo actually feels like an older brother: annoying, teasing, but loving all the same

Raph kinda smothers him with his over protectiveness, he does that with Donnie too, but Leo is willing to give Mikey the space he needs and its clear Mikey appreciates that

girl!Sunstreaker is vain, but it's not about being prim and polished all the time. She's absolutely anal about having the perfect tune ups for everything: her engine, her alt mode, perfectly balanced tyres, hydraulics working to optimal levels. She's constantly in the medbay about servicing, changing out oil and fluid to whatever latest advancement Wheeljack has come up with.

Externally, she's super vain but it's all about showing how much and how we'll she's fought. She doesn't leave scrapes and scratches too long (that would invite rust, which wouldn't lend itself to peak performance) but she struts like a peacock after battle with her dents and scratches and photon burns because she didn't just survive, she won.

💍 JEWELRY: What are considered luxury items in the world of your WIP?

It honestly depends on the species of character, and where they live in the world. I think, generally, I can say... magick. Which isn't an item, but it is the biggest.

The way the worlds are designed, they all grow and expand on different branches of Yggdrasil, and the closer they are to the body of the tree, the closer they are to the gods, and therefore the more access to magicks they have. This particular world is so close to the gods, that they can nearly touch them, and so the magick in this world for centuries has run rampant doing what it pleases.

Recently, though- by which I mean the past centuries- the people here have found that their magick is growing both weaker, and more unstable, so that they're not really sure if it'll do what they want it to, or if it'll just kill them. They don't know why (it's 'cause the gods are being hunted for sport, and whenever one dies, the sphere they influence is thrown into chaos; the god of magick died a bit ago), and so have shied away from using magick, so that now it's become more of luxury that either idiots or the rich indulge in. If you have money, you can probably afford to send your kid off to study with a practiced wizard or witch or demon that will help them potentially not blow themselves up, and you can presumably hire things like clerics and provide the ingredients they need to perform miracles.

In the last one that she was in (the previous chapter- a masquerade), she's described as so (love interest pov):

Nicholas’s gaze wandered over the owl mask– it wasn’t lace as the others were, it looked to be made of sanded wood, painted to resemble a barn owl. She wore a different cloak than the usual dark blue, one that looked as though someone had cut a piece from the night sky and fashioned it into cloth tailor made for her person. It pooled behind her when she stopped, gliding along with her stride in small ripples of shimmering stars whenever the light caught the fabric. It concealed all of her, shapeless and imposing in a sea of bright colors, only a silver crescent moon clasp to fasten it in place. [...] The corset of her dress had been laced wrong, too tight, and dug into her skin. He made quick work of it, untying it and using its ribbon to tie his hair back. He dug a claw through the cloth, poking a small hole first, then tearing it across the length of the wound at her side.

Sooo how we feeling about today's episode? If you want to have my 2 cents, I have a feeling it's gonna be a non Puzzles arc first. Considering we've been having Karen lore explored and like I mentioned it in a post I made, it's interesting, this theme of exploring pasts of characters, probably somewhat meant as soft retconning (like Melony going from possibly not having a family to family issues which would maybe somewhat make sense with the idea that she was actually repressing that which I find very plausible personally) but also I do feel like there might be at least a smidge more of a reason for it. But yeah I feel like we might slowly get a new thing going on with Karen, maybe Marty becoming an antagonist again, also exploring Karen's past more, like an ex-assassin arc or something. It would DEF make an AWESOME movie that would be the first ever that doesn't focus on any of the core crew which is CRAZY. THOUGH this is not to say they aren't allowed to drop other hints for later this year, like with the possibility of Puzzles coming back and perhaps exploring Perfect again and doing a bunch of reprise like stuff, yknow the kinda thing that feels corny but it's the exact kinda corny the channel is. Anyways if I turn out to be right with the ex assassin arc and we actually get a movie like that, focusing on Karen- I have some- SOME hope of like, a whole battle of the bands arc, which I've been thinking about for a bit. Like a mini arc made of like maybe 4-5 episodes with a longer ep special. Especially because they need to release more music, especially w Saikosis stuff like- it's like wasted musical potential to me.

Also I checked and still no change anywhere, even the website which is silly to me. SO- I don't encourage others to do this but very few times when I'd check the website I'd submit shit like "hey guys, why didn't you change this" and "Hey, we see that this website is still up yo" for one because I think it's a little funny but also because they GOTTA KNOW!!! THEY AT LEAST COULD'VE CHANGED IT SO YOU CAN'T SUBMIT STUFF!!!! BUT THEY DIDN'T!!!! IT'S STILL O P E N!!! Sorry, that had been driving me mad for a good bit. Like genuinely WHY is it STILL open??

I LOVED this episode, it was awesome!!! The character development, their backstories! so good

Having a non-Puzzles arc with Karen would be sick as fuck, dude! just having her story unravel more with her husband and the corporation AND we might get to see who was the one to request the hit on Marty! OH and young Karen, can you imagine?! BRING IN THE MUSIC PLEASE! and maybe we can finally move on from the whole flareglow thing

I've also checked the PV website frequently and, having been working with UX/UI before, there's absolutely NO REASON why it's still up. I got a log and everything.

The Team could've done a fun little image that's like "PUZZLE PARK IS UNFORTUNATELY CLOSED" or something like they did for the "That's all, folks" image/gif, but NOPE. Like I said before, these websites cost money, and this being worth a percentage of their budget, they're up to something. Especially considering that this website is one of Mr Puzzles' main connections of him (and the show) to the audience. ....yeah at that point, put me in a straitjacket.

I'm always watching *looks directly at Team but at Cube specifically*

I have so many thoughts about Henry!

right now it's about him crossing over for the first time and how absolutely confusinv that had to have been for him. like imagine the culture shock of not knowing where you are or anything about it. and imagine how patient Mercedes was in those first few months to help him figure everything out

Henry forgetting words in common for a while and reverting to his native tongue, which Mercedes decidedly does not understand, and hand motions to get his point across for the first few months. sometimes expressions still make their way to his brain that don't make sense when translated but feel a little nostalgic when he says thim, things his mom or dad used to say.

speaking of nostalgia. Mercedes heard him say his name was Hen'ry and had mistaken it as Henry. like everyone does. gradually the name Hen completely faded from his mind. the first time she called him Hen as a shortened version of his name Henry didn't know why he was crying, just that it was a good cry.

also imagine missing your mom and not remembering what she looked like. missing Oakvale but not knowing where he was missing. yeah it's better for him to be on earth in the long run but that was his home and he misses it, but he doesn't know where.

the reason Henry doesn't shower much is because the indoor plumbing and running water scares him. he's not used to it and it was overwhelming and loud

Henry really likes that he can hear Mercedes on the radio during the day, though he didn't know what a radio was. it was just a box that played noise for a while. (thank you @woodytpt01 for that one guys seriously go check them out they're really nice and we bounce ideas off of eachother all the time)

Henry's ears are pierced because he had them pierced in Oakvale. it's customary for a prince.

Henry really likes kids shows because he understands the references better even once he's been on earth for a while. things are still confusing. (again thank you @woodytpt01 we talk about Hen'ry a lot recently)

the concept of grocery stores was confusing to Henry a lot for a while. why go buy food when you can forage it.

Henry's magic used to flare a lot in the beginning before he started subconsciously surpressing it. that's why Mercedes was so sure magic existed. something wasn't adding up though neither of them could explain it.

hi friend! not weird at all! also not sure where to have responded for this but I'll just answer the ask for now lol

mmmm also not sure how to tackle the idea because I write a lot of high fantasy (I actually had to read up a little on the genre haha), but I'll try! also I've no specifics so these questions are gonna end up a bit general

what makes your characters (protagonist, antagonist, or otherwise) interesting? is it a special ability or characteristic (that they may or may not know about)? are they just a normal person dropped into a fantastical situation? what are their goals/needs/wants?

a good question to consider is what are the stakes or conflicts? this can help drive your plot and depends on your characters' goals and needs and wants! a common occurrence (and correct me if I'm wrong!) is that these conflicts are often morally grey and are more about individuals as opposed to a big picture! and obviously these kinds of conflicts aren't limited to this genre, but again it's something to consider-- (also not to say that a larger picture can't be happening, but I guess the individuals come first?? idk)

and in your world-building, is there something hidden in plain sight? or does the fantasy aspects of your story roam freely? or the opposite (the fantasy portion is completely separated??). like, how would ppl react to those things? what kind of fantasy are you going for?
