Indy Marcus on TikTok breaking down the worrying new social conservative entryism into the Scottish Independence movement, particularly Salvo/Liberation Scotland.
If these people succeed in turning an independent Scotland into just another reactionary Tory shitehole we might as well stay in the Union.
List of drivers/people I met at Honda Indy 2024: +my thoughts at the end. Super fun experience and the drivers are absolutely worth the time chatting with, such amazing guys!
- Fittipaldi: (met all the days) 10000/10 such a nice guy, definitely my favourite driver. Very underrated too. I ended up bumping into him and asking for a photo, he was very respectful and also talkative. I ran into him three or four times and got his autograph as well. Very cute!
- Pato: (met day one and two) 10/10 he was super sweet, I had to stop him, but he was extremely kind and talkative. Took a cute photo with him, and got his autograph :)
- Firehawk: (met day one and two) 🔥/10 funny dude. Went in for a hug then left me hanging. I also ran into him a few times and got a few photos with him
- Marcus E: (met day one) 8/10 bros approachable, but just barely. He’s really nice though. But his photo was just 🧍🧍, which to look at is funny. He’s also talkative, but again, hard to approach cause he’s a popular pick.
- David: (met day one and three) 100/10 he’s such a down to earth guy it was as if I was talking and taking a photo with friends. He’s another one I had to stop and ask, which he was the most chillest mf ever. I’d recommend getting a photo with him and trying to chat, he’s got a vibe to him that’s unmistakable.
- Zak Brown: (met day two) …/10, what’s bro doing here. His appearance was random and it was my mum that pointed him out which prompted him to take a photo with me. He’s actually very nice and respectful as well. I was wearing a Redbull hat, so he jokingly covered it for one of the photos.
- Hunter: (met day three) 10/10, he’s so cute and underrated! He gives the best hugs too. Despite being in a rush he gratefully joined the photo. I wish I could have talked to him, but he gave me a small hug and scooted off. Very nice guy as well!!
- Grosjean: (met day three) 7/10, he’s IMPOSSIBLE to find. I had to wait by the trailer talking to fans and engineers just to get his photo. Which, he wasn’t surrounded at the time. Despite that, he’s very approachable too. Just be careful, he tends to walk in the opposite direction, so you sorta have to talk a bit louder. Either way, very funny guy, very French. Nice guy!
- Colton: (met day three) 10/10, even though it was a brief meeting. He’s the victor this week. Also very nice to take a photo with too. Next year I’ll try to get his autograph too.
Driver I really wish I could have found: Lundgaard and Dixon! Maybe I’ll catch them next year :)
Overall, the drivers are fucking awesome and super respectful. They’re down to earth and don’t act all presidential and such. They love talking to fans, even the bigger guys like Josef and Dixon. Overall, paddock was a fun experience and totally worth the wait. I can’t wait to see the pits next year!
I just hope that Marcus Ericsson winning the Indy 500 last year & Antonio Giovinazzi winning Le Mans this year makes 'those' motorsport fans realise that just because a driver doesn't have success in F1, it doesn't make them a crap driver. F1 isn't the be all and end all of motorsport and people need to accept that.
