Day 1 of 5 day workout week:
So, last week, I only got in 2 out of 5 workouts. I’m not even mad at myself as I have had some health issues pop up that knocked me for a loop. I’m still dealing with those issues, but I still feel able to tread lightly back to activity.
🏋🏽‍♀️I started with a light weight training routine using dumbbells with a range of 5-10 lbs and 6 lb ankle weights. I went with dynamic, compound movements with some static moves sprinkled in.
🚴🏾Then I transferred to my indoor cycle for a quick 30 minute workout. It’s so gentle with the no-impact, I’m grateful to have it for additional cardio. My training resistance was at level 7-12. I finished with a stretch and cooldown.
Total calorie burn = 283 kcals 🙂
I’m not breaking any records…but I was never trying to! I’m aiming for good health, mobility and consistency. Today was a step in the right direction. 🫶🏽

I've been staying true to my 2025 resolution of dedicating myself to health and wellness - this month, I tried my hand at golf (with mixed results), had a sauna date with my bestie, took a class at a new yoga studio, and went indoor rock climbing with friends! 🧗🏻‍♀️

Today was a lot of things.. fun but at times very hard and emotional, I felt supported but I also wish I could be more supportive and helpful to some in my family but I sometimes don’t feel like I can even care for myself many days. Life is a strange ride.
I walked another 5 miles with my love today, the weather was a bit cooler and it was just about perfect for us out there.
Yay! We made the choice to move our bodies and that pretty much always feels like a win.

Day 2 of 5 day workout week:
It’s Tuesday! And, since it’s brutally cold outside, I decide to relocate my indoor bike from the garage gym to the den. Great decision! Not only is it compact and versatile, it provided a no impact workout as I’m still getting my bearings after foot surgery. Win-win! 💪🏽
🏃🏽‍♀️The indoor bike did not disappoint! I got in my first 300+ calorie workout and it’s only my second day back! I did just over 40 minutes of cycling with intervals of various speeds and resistance levels. I also used the upper body resistance bands accessory to add intensity.
Total calorie burn = 319 kcals 🥳
Not bad for day 2! And, not just day 2 of the week, but day 2 of working my way back. I think I will keep the bike in the house for the time being! It’s a great way for me to build endurance while easing my foot back to impact training.
