I spent the last weeks in a hostel in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, and the highlight was the cheap Indian restaurant where I had delicious vegetarian food whenever I wanted. It doesn't look sophisticated, but it tasted delicious and rich.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I've been in Bali again for a while now. Currently I'm in Ubud again, maybe for a week, learning to use the awesome personal knowledge management software Obsidian. I really like the place I'm staying, it has a good atmosphere and always nice people.
Biggest problem is affordable yet decent food. I came by an Indian restaurant two days ago. It didn't seem fancy, but a single dish was around €10.
So I tried the "vegetable curry" from the Indonesian shop next door:
Tumblr media
I challenge you to think up something more desperate that technically still counts as "curry" :D the "sauce" is like that from a light instant noodle soup, with slight curcuma addition, and one curry leaf which they definitely didn't cook with that.
I'll get a chocolate waffle tomorrow to ease the pain.
