“What will you have, stranger?” You ask, the menu cradled on your arm. Eyes shining in the warm light, you seem to shine brighter when he stares at you like he hasn't seen you in years. Truthfully, it's only been three days since his last visit.
Hobie has been nursing the glass of icy water in his hand, condensation prickling his palms. The cold is a stark contrast to the way his skin heats up from how you sweetly uttered the word ‘stranger’ when in fact he hasn't been a stranger to you for a long time.
The golden light above acts as your spotlight, the cushy seats of ‘his’ booth that he has practically claimed for himself feels like it was molded for him. The aromatic scent of the entire restaurant, your restaurant, has him relaxing almost immediately. After a year of coming here, he feels at home. He already knows all the songs your father seems to always play on the speakers.
And with all the days he always seems to find himself in the restaurant, you've grown close. Quite close in fact that his monthly rendezvous has turned to weekly visits to daily in a span of a few months. And with you always being his server, it was impossible not to fall for your favourite customer. Now his visits doesn't restrict him to the restaurant.
“You know what I want, love.” Hobie sends you a quick wink when he's sure that no one in your family is in the vicinity.
“Hobie.” You warn, whispering, hiding your face with the menu in your hand. “I told you, your flirting won't get you a discount,” he opens his mouth but you already know what he's about to say. “Or have me on the menu.”
He laughs, metal rings tapping on his drink. “Can't hurt to try, right?”
“Yeah, I'm sure you saying it for the 412th time would finally get it to work.”
“Fine, my usual then.”
“Extra spice?” You almost wince at the thought.
“Yes, please. Extra, until I get your family's attention.”
“I'll get the milk ready then.” God, he has never wanted to hold someone's hand this bad. Noticing how his pinky twitches towards you, you act as if you're giving him the menu when in fact you're hiding how you quickly squeeze his hand.
As quick as your warmth came, you take it away in a snap. He's glad you did though, because if you didn't he might've pulled you closer to him.
“Thanks, love.” Hobie smiles smugly at you, knowing he won. You almost wish you're not working right now so you could kiss the smirk off his lips.
“Coming right up.” You wink back, now he's the one who's all giddy by a mere wink.
You should tell him that your family knows him well by now, even giving him extra heaping portions for his loyalty. But you just love seeing him cry and fan himself whenever he eats something he can't handle.

Omg your requests are open lol
I humbly ask for something adorable and fluffy for BuckyNat x R. Like maybe just some cute domestic activities after the three of them have been super busy and they're finally able to catch up with each other and just be together 💕
Bonus points for including Alpine and Liho
Free Time
Pairing: BuckyNat x Fem! Reader
Summary: After what felt like months, you and your partners finally had a week off from work, allowing you all to enjoy some much-needed quality time.
Fluff
Warnings: None | 1.1K
Translations: Detka (baby),
AC: I love me some BuckyNat! Thank you for sending this! I hope you enjoy it x
You couldn't help the soft smile that tugged at your lips as you stirred the butter chicken sauce to keep it from burning. You'd been waiting for this night since Fury said that everybody is to take a little break from work to relax and recharge. This meant that you would finally be able to have some much-needed quality with your partners.
Bucky and Nat were doing some last-minute mission reports before clocking off for the week, meaning you had the perfect window to cook them dinner. Cooking was one of your favorite hobbies, you loved cooking for people but mostly you loved cooking for Nat and Bucky.
Your shared apartment smelled like an Indian restaurant, which only made you even more hungry. Your favorite playlist played softly in the background while you danced around the kitchen, grabbing plates and glasses from the cupboard before setting the table. You couldn't wait for them to come home and be able to enjoy a home cooked meal and a movie on the sofa with Alpine & Liho head butting for pets.
Nat & Bucky came home just as you had finished dishing up the butter chicken, rice and naan bread as if the smell lured them home to you. "Something smells good detka!" Nat smiled softly before she gently pulled you in for a kiss. Bucky following behind her, "butter chicken? my favourite!" He chipped in, placing a kiss on your cheek.
"Well, before you even think about sitting at the table, you need a shower! You smell" you chuckled, noticing he was in his gym clothes that had a noticeable sweat stain at his collar.
"Yes ma'am" he winked before making his way to the bathroom.
"How was your day?" Natasha asked as she wandered into the living room to kick off her shoes. You placed the dishes on the dining table and took a seat, waiting patiently for your lovers to join you. "It was boring but Alpine, Liho and I had a pretty fun game of laser!" You replied.
“Ah, that would explain why they’re basically passed out” Nat chuckled lightly.
After a dinner full of conversations and laughs, you and Nat allowed Bucky to pick the first movie. It was no surprise that he had picked The Godfather. You sat between Nat and Bucky, Nat rested her head on your shoulder while Bucky wrapped an arm around the two of you and soon enough, Alphine and Liho woke up, jumping up onto the sofa to be sure they wouldn’t miss out on any snuggles.
----
The next morning, Liho woke you by jumping up onto the bed and headbutting you for a morning pet. The bed was empty, making you frown slightly at the loneliness of being in such a big bed by yourself. You gave the cat a good pat before you slipped out of bed and wrapping your night gown around your body.
“You know, I’m never going to let it down that you burned pancakes” Bucky chuckled as he poured maple syrup over his stack of 4. Hearing his comment to your girlfriend made you smile softly knowing they were still here, “Nat, don’t tell me you actually burned pancakes” you chipped in.
Natasha playfully rolled her eyes, “it was Alpines fault, she almost knocked the batter over” she said, defending herself.
“Sure, sure” you teased before taking a seat next to Bucky at the dining table. “Good morning doll, did you enjoy your sleep in?” He asked. “You guys could’ve woke me” you reached for the plate of pancakes.
“You looked so peaceful though and you did cook the best butter chicken I’ve ever had, take it as my gift to you!” Bucky smiled.
“Besides, we don’t have any plans until late this afternoon” Nat added, taking a mouthful of pancake. “What plans?” You questioned with a cocked brow.
“It’s a surprise” Bucky replied.
“Oh, come on! you know I can’t handle knowing there’s a surprise coming!”
Both Nat and Bucky chuckled, “and you should know just how much we love to tease you” Nat said.
After breakfast, the three of you went grocery store. Natasha pushed the cart while Bucky and you ticked items off the shopping list. His hands interlocked with yours as the three of you walked up and down each aisle, “come on baby, tell me what the surprise is” you said in an almost whisper so Nat couldn’t hear. If anybody was easy to break a secret, it was Bucky.
“Sorry, doll, no can do” he smiled before placing a kiss on your temple. You sighed playfully while you racked your brain for any idea of what might be the surprise they’re holding from you.
“I think that’s everything” Bucky spoke, looking back at Natasha before the three of you headed for the checkout.
After that, it was a quick drive home to unload and pack away the groceries then back out again for a little late lunch before it was off to the surprise date that Bucky and Nat had in mind for you. Nat gently put a blind fold on you once the car had come to a stop, “guys, I’m nervous!” You said as Bucky took your left hand and Nat took your right, helping to guide you.
“Just a little longer, I’ll love it!” Bucky’s voice eased your nerves but made you more excited for what was planned. You felt like you were stomping your feet as your lovers led you to a stop eventually, “ready detka?” Nat questioned.
“Yes!” You replied with excitement. Slowly, Bucky removed your blind fold to reveal a large hot-air balloon in front of you. “Surprise!” Bucky and Nat said in sync. A date on a hot-air balloon had been on your bucket list since you could remember. Your smile grew bigger as you turned to face your lovers.
“No way!!!” You almost jumped with happiness before hugging them both tightly.
“Anything for you doll! We’ve had this planned for weeks” Bucky smiled.
“Are you sure this isn’t because I made you one of your favourite meals?” You joked. Nat lent forward and whispered, “that’s exactly why” she chuckled.
“I thought so!”
----
The views from the hot air ballon were better than you could ever image, the wind softly blowing through your hair as while Bucky had his arms wrapped around you, Natasha snapping a phot of the two of you before turning the camera to selfie mode just to capture a photo to add to the photo albums.
You gently pulled Natasha closer, gently kissing her deeply. “This is beautiful, thank you” you smiled softly, “Like Bucky said detka, anything for you” she smiled softly.

Deep, Deep Down (Broadchurch One-Shot)
Alec Hardy x GN!Reader / requests are open
Summary: Your menstrual cycle was always the worst, but Alec does his best to make it better.
CW: reader is gn but has periods (rip- readers just like me fr), tooth-rotting fluff, comfort, idk what else to tag this
Broadchurch Tag List: @clarina04 @kaylinelizabeth4004 @yeethaw13 (send an ask to be added to a tag list!)
___ ___ ___ ___ ___
Deep, deep down inside you’re aware that everyone’s experience is relative to their own situation and tolerance. You know this, but you’re also not entirely sure that anyone else could possibly have a period this bad.
They’re always like this. Agonising, debilitating, and very, very heavy. Alec was quite concerned when he witnessed his first one of yours. He was fawning over you and itching for his keys to take you to the doctor at any given second. It had taken a fair amount of convincing to get him to stand down. This was your normal. You’d gotten used to it (sort of) and now so would he.
So month in and month out you spent at least one week a month curled up in a blanket fort cradling a heat pack like it was the only thing holding you back from death. Not even a hot chocolate made you feel better on your worst days. Not even the fancy ones with the whipped cream and the marshmallows. It was truly a cause for concern.
Alec had started keeping mental track of your periods. Not on purpose, but it was hard not to notice when you basically stopped being able to function like a regular person for a minimum of a week per month.
Alec knew your cycle was due to start any day, and he’d been trying to think of something to do for you to help you through it for at least three days. There was the standard, of course- the flowers, the chocolates, the hot water bottles- but he wanted something else. Something special. But what?
Alec had thought about it for a little while before it came to him.
He prepared as many of your favourite things as possible. Your favourite snacks, flowers, plushies, blankets, foods. He’d even gone to the effort of grabbing all of your favourite restaurant meals and portioning them up for you so all you had to do when you got hungry was pop them in the microwave and start snacking.
When you’d deemed yourself well enough to emerge from the bedroom and flop down in the lounge room, you’d almost cried at the sight that met you there.
Soft blankets ready and waiting to cuddle into. A couple of your favourite plushies to keep you company. A little wicker basket of your favourite snacks. He’d even brought home Indian food for your lunch. The lights were dimmed and your string lights across the top of the TV cabinet were on and flickering softly.
“I- erm, I’ve got t’go back to work, love,” he said, rubbing the back of his head. He was genuinely apologetic, you could see. And you chewed back the grateful tears. “But this should keep you goin’ till I get home, yes?”
You looked around at the piles of things. He’d even teed up your favourite comfort film. Wow, maybe it wasn’t all men.
“Y-yeah, Alec- I- this is amazing,” you breathed, rubbing at your tummy softly.
Alec clocked the movement and turned around to pass you a bottle of water and some painkillers. Behind him, there was a hot chocolate with marshmallows and whipped cream. Right next to the remote. You were a little in shock, to be completely honest.
“Here, take these. Erm- once I get back, I’ll run you a bath an’ we can watch a movie or cuddle or something,” his cheeks flushed the palest shade of pink. You nodded, taking the pills and swallowing them down. “Whatever y’want. I want that water done, though,” he said pointedly. “Keep y’fluids up, y’ken?”
You sighed and took an extra large sip just to appease him.
“Yessir,” you said cheekily, followed by a much softer, “thank you, Alec. Really. This is one of the nicest things anyone’s ever done for me.”
“Low bar,” was all he replied. You reached out for him and pressed a loving kiss to his lips. Alec hesitated to pull away, and you chuckled sadly.
“Go on, now. Off to solve some crimes, hey?”
“Tha’s me. Alrigh’, take care, love, yeah?”
You plop down onto the couch, pulling a blanket close. “Always, sir.”

favorite books? (AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH)
Light:
Dang, Anon, this is a hard question...
My favourite books change from time to time, so I guess I'll just answer with what I'm currently reading now/have read recently.
I'm a big fan of Murakami's work. I've read First Person Singular, Wind/Pinball, Men Without Women, and I'm currently on The Elephant Vanishes. Norwegian Wood sounds interesting, so I'm planning to read it next...so far, First Person Singular is probably my favourite.
(Also, did you know that he has a library named after him in Waseda University, where he was an alumni of? I saw it when I went to visit my cousin.)
I've also read the Secret History by Donna Tartt; it wasn't bad, in my opinion. Also Rouge by Mona Awad, which felt like a fever dream (in a good way). The Only Good Indians by Stephen Graham Jones was a rather intriguing horror novel as well; I rather enjoyed the creative concept of the elk entity in the book. (Oh, and if you like horror, check out Horrorstör by Grady Hendrix; I've only read the translated version, but the concept is a really cool thing to think about, too!)
Thanks for the question, I do love it when people ask me stuff about books.
L:
the only books i've read as of recent have been comics.. and i don't want to sound like a broken record, so i suppose i'll list those.
I Was Born To Work Retail by Pear哥 (who actually has a tumblr account, @peargor. i highly recommend checking out their works.) has been one of my favorite comics of all time. the comic serves as both a comedy of an ordinary girl working at a fast-food restaurant and a social commentary on the horrors of capitalism. there are so many stunning scenes that hit deep, and it's emphasized even more with the outstanding art. i even wrote a poem inspired by one of its scenes a year or so ago. it's really stunning.
two other comics i've been enjoying a lot are The Interpretations of Shadows by nyoomian (who also has a tumblr blog under the same name) and Urban Animal by Justin Jordan & John Amor. both lean a bit more into the "grim and gritty" side of comics. i'd explain what they're about, but i think it's much more interesting if you simply just read it for yourself.
and some other honorable mentions... : Our Walk Home by furanc0, the Scott Pilgrim series by Bryan Lee O'Malley, and Casual Blush by ILNeGeAr.
sorry i couldn't give you any real books, but i hope that can suffice..?

Lamb Dopiaza (1 spoon)
Curry’s one of those dishes that always seems very complicated. There are a lot of ingredients - something that’s easy to tell just because of the sheer vibrancy and complexity of the flavour profile in a good curry - and it’s easy to wind up thinking that it’s not a thing that would be easy to do at home. However, with inflation racking up the price of basically everything, ordering a takeout or eating in a restaurant isn’t a luxury a lot of people feel they can afford, myself included. So I went looking up recipes for a couple of my favourite Indian dishes, and discovered that most curries, at least, are as easy to make as the average stew. Honestly, that’s all a curry is at the end of the day - stew with a very different flavour profile.
Lamb dopiaza is my favourite, and apparently there are as many ways to make it as there are people, because there were a lot of recipes when I looked. I picked out two - from Fatima Cooks and Sprinkles and Sprouts respectively - but couldn’t decide between them. So instead, I picked what I thought would be the best from both, and added a couple of variations of my own. So the recipe’s more or less my own, I guess? And honestly, it needs very little in the way of notes about how to make it easier because it really doesn’t get any easier than this. Not to cook, anyway. There will be some notes after, but that’s on making the cleanup easier. Not a lot of chopping, very little stirring, but a lot of measuring spoons.
Here’s what you’ll need:
About 1.75lb (800g) diced lamb (use shoulder; see notes below)
12 cloves garlic, finely diced
5 onions, chopped into eighths
4 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon tomato puree
1.5 teaspoons ginger-garlic paste
2 teaspoons coriander
2 teaspoons cumin seeds
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon peppercorns
1 stick cinnamon
0.5 teaspoon clove
0.5 teaspoon turmeric
0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 black cardamom pods
3 green cardamom pods
Sounds like a lot, I know, but it gets way easier from here. You want to use lamb shoulder because this will be cooked a long time and a more tender meat will make it fall apart. Mutton can also be used, as can beef (skirt or shin), but probably best not to use chicken without seriously modifying the recipe or at least the cooking time, since it will turn to mush.
Here’s what you do:
Throw everything on the above list into a big pot with about a half-cup of water.
Cover and simmer on low heat for 1.5 hours, stirring once or twice.
Remove cover and simmer on high heat for about a half-hour to boil off some of the excess liquid.
Serve.
That is literally it. You cut a lot of onions into eighths, chuck a significant amount of garlic into a mandoline with a “finely diced” attachment on it (or just cut them very fine, if you don’t have one; I still heartily recommend one), dump that into a pot with some lamb and a bit of water, measure in your spices, and then you turn it on low heat and go sit on the sofa and watch a movie, more or less. I stirred the whole thing maybe twice and I probably didn’t even have to do that. It is the easiest thing in the world ... except for the clean-up.
There’s going to be a lot of debris with this dish, mostly in the form of onion and garlic skins. Easiest way to deal with that, if you bought pre-packaged meat from the grocery store, is to set aside the containers and use those as interim garbage cans. This is also helpful for the paper towels used in the next two hints. It’s a useful tip in general; this way, all the detritus is contained in one place and only requires one trip to the garbage can.
A lot of these use teaspoon and half-teaspoon measurements, and most people only have the one set of measuring spoons. I got around this by wiping the spoons down after each use, and saved the ginger-garlic paste for last. That way I was mostly only wiping away dry ingredients, which are easier to just brush off, until I could just dump the half-teaspoon I was using into the washing-up bucket.
Chopping five onions can be a painful prospect with the burning, watering eyes. If that starts getting too painful, or if you’re tearing up too much to see, just wet a couple of paper towels in cold water and hold them against each eye for a minute. That’ll help the burning.
Keep a small plate on hand as a place to rest your stirring spoon between stirs, and wipe up any spills immediately. Curry - turmeric specifically - leaves a bright yellow stain that’s very hard to shift, so it’s best to clean things up as soon as possible so a stain doesn’t have time to set.
I’m really glad I tried this one. It’s delicious, it’s easy, it makes lots of leftovers, and I get to have one of my restaurant favourites at home more or less whenever I want. Plus if my experiments are any indication, there’s a lot of wiggle room with the spicing, so don’t be afraid to add a bit more of something or make some substitutions if that ends up more to your taste. Like any stew, it’s really forgiving.

North Sea Scotland (4): Perth
The previous entry ended with our departure from Dundee, which was ugly and wet.
Perth, a short drive away, was just wet. The rain eased, revealing the beauty of this old royal burgh.
It occupies a choice spot on the River Tay where it is both easy to cross and tidal, allowing ships to moor.
This, an information panel revealed, made the city a trade hub in the Middle Ages. It was also designated as a "craftis toun" because of its top-quality products.
Glovers, we learned, were the most influential guild in medieval Perth. The industry naturally attracted tanners. The panel included a depiction of their quarter circa 1440:
Leather-making apparently involved soaking hides into a mix of urine and dogs' faeces.
This, I thought, provided interesting historical background to the Spinal Tap album Smell the Glove.
The oldest house in Perth is said to be "Fair Maid's House". But the inscription "1393"was suspiciously legible.
The plaque said the habitation drew its name from Sir Walter Scott's novel The Fair Maid of Perth - which was published in 1828!
In short the house looked to me as medieval as Deep Purple's Book of Taliesyn album (I don't know why walking in Perth put vintage rock into my head.)
But if you're into faux medieval, nothing beats the real thing: Victorian arts-and-crafts architecture.
Perth has plenty of wonderful specimens. Many, I noted, have been taken over by the food-and-drink industry.
The above buildings – all from the 1890s – now house Perth's Pizza Express (left), an Indian restaurant (centre) and a pub (right).
The river front is lined with glorious Gothic-revival erections.
The County Buildings (1881, above) initially a natural history museum is now, predictably, a fancy eatery.
My favourite building is the 1840s police HQ (below).
Carved into these stern stones is the inscription: "This house hates knaves, crimes punisheth, preserves the laws and good men honoureth."
Contrast that with the "transformative vision" for Scottish justice set out in 2022 "with a focus on creating safer communities and shifting societal attitudes and circumstances which perpetuate crime and harm".
The Tay, the longest river in Scotland, can be fierce in Perth. In days of old, a panel explained, people dealt with flooding by demolishing damaged structures and building new ones on top until the ground was raised to a safe level.
The above picture was taken from a spot where Perth Castle once stood. It was washed away in 1209.
It was not the last traumatic event to occur at this site. Dominicans built a monastery on the ruins of the castle. Two centuries later, James I of Scotland died there in unusual circumstances.
James had a habit of dealing ruthlessly with rivals. But what did for him was not so much his love of power as his love of tennis. In 1436, he decided to spend Christmas at the monastery. It had great traveller reviews, as well as an indoor court where he could practice his favourite sport.
Knowing plotters were after him, James familiarised himself with escape routes before settling down for a nice extended holiday. But there was a problem with the tennis: his balls kept falling down a drain pipe.
The king got so frustrated that he ordered the drain to be blocked. Three days later his enemies reached the monastery. He disappeared down a hatch. The tunnel, however, led to the drain that had been filled with stone. He was swiftly slaughtered by his pursuers.
Fast forward 122 years. As a previous post explained, mid-16th century Scotland was ruled by Catholics but ripe for Protestantism. Knowing which way the wind was blowing, the Calvinist preacher John Knox returned home after 11 years in exile.
In May 1559 he headed to Perth and commandeered St John's Kirk (top image).
From a pulpit surrounded by the paraphernalia of Popish superstition (relics, stained glass windows, painted walls, etc.), Knox inveighed against idolatry. Whipped into an iconoclastic frenzy, the crowd trashed the church.
The crowds then headed for the Dominican priory and ransacked it. Perth's three other monasteries – as well all 40 altars in the city - were destroyed in two days of rioting. Knox went on to repeat the feat at St Andrews cathedral 50 miles away. The Scottish Church fell like a house of cards.
Perth these days is endearingly unthreatening. During our wanderings we came across a parade. A crowd cheered as bagpipe players in kilts, aldermen in suits, Scots Guards in Jeeps and Star Warriors in costumes filed past.
Towards the end a brass band played the vintage hit Gimme Some Lovin'.

Mild, Creamy, and Flavourful Butter Chicken at Indian Restaurants in Norwest
Butter Chicken is one of the most popular Indian cuisines. It has spread from Delhi's streets to kitchens worldwide, especially to the thriving Indian restaurants Norwest, thanks to its rich, creamy texture and mild flavour. Whether you're a seasoned connoisseur of Indian food or just beginning to explore this diverse culinary landscape, butter chicken is a dish that consistently stands out. This iconic recipe has become a favourite for many due to its balance of flavours, the tenderness of the chicken, and a sauce that is nothing short of heavenly.
The Perfect Butter Chicken: A Symphony of Flavours
The magic behind butter chicken lies in its complexity. The dish combines tender chicken pieces cooked in a mild, creamy tomato-based sauce that is gently spiced with a variety of aromatic ingredients. The combination of butter, cream, and tomato creates a luscious, velvety sauce, which is perfect for mopping up with naan or rice.
The Sauce: Creamy, Mild, and Rich in Flavour
What sets butter chicken apart from other curries is its perfect consistency. Unlike some curries that can be thick and hearty, butter chicken has a velvety texture that is both light and satisfying. The cream and butter add a luxurious mouthfeel, making it a comfort food for many.
A Dish Loved by All
One of the reasons butter chicken is so widely appreciated is because it appeals to a wide range of palates. Its mild, creamy flavour is ideal for those who might find spicier dishes too intense while still offering enough depth for those who enjoy a bit of complexity in their meals. Its versatility also makes it a great option for sharing, especially when paired with sides like basmati rice, naan, or even paratha.
The Evolution of Butter Chicken
The rise of fusion cuisine has also led to exciting interpretations of butter chicken. Some chefs experiment with adding unique elements like coconut milk or smoked paprika, further enhancing the complexity of the flavours. At Indian restaurants in Norwest, you may find contemporary twists on the classic butter chicken, providing diners with a refreshing, modern experience of this age-old dish.
Butter Chicken and the Art of Pairing
For instance, a garlic naan or butter naan adds extra indulgence and flavour, while a tandoori roti, with its slightly crispy texture, offers a delightful contrast to the creamy sauce. Some diners prefer to pair butter chicken with pilaf rice, which is more aromatic and slightly spiced compared to plain basmati rice. For a refreshing balance to the richness of butter chicken, a tangy mango chutney or a cucumber salad with a dash of lemon juice can offer a cool, zesty contrast.
Additionally, butter chicken pairs beautifully with Indian pickles, which add a tangy, spicy kick that offsets the creaminess of the dish. Whether served as a side or directly mixed in, these pickles bring an extra dimension to the meal.
Butter Chicken: A Perfect Comfort Food
Beyond its gourmet appeal, butter chicken is also a comfort food that brings warmth and nostalgia to many people. It's the kind of dish that evokes feelings of home, whether you're dining in a traditional Indian restaurant or enjoying a homemade version with family. The dish's rich flavours and creamy texture are perfect for cold winter evenings or as a hearty meal after a long day.
The Healthier Side of Butter Chicken
While butter chicken is often seen as a rich, indulgent dish, there are ways to make it a little lighter without sacrificing its signature creamy texture. For example, some Indian restaurants now offer healthier versions of butter chicken by using less butter or opting for low-fat cream. Others may incorporate more vegetables into the sauce, adding nutritional value without compromising flavour.
Moreover, butter chicken can be enjoyed as part of a balanced meal when paired with healthier sides, like a mixed vegetable salad or whole wheat roti. By making small tweaks, it's possible to enjoy this dish without overindulgence, allowing it to remain a delicious, guilt-free option in your culinary repertoire.
