Another year has passed, and with it the opportunity to reflect back on all that has happened. While my growth was not as dramatic as last year, I can still see lots of positive change.

I'll never have enough ways to say thank you for all the love and support you have given me this year. On to 2025!

#poorly drawn mdzs #art summary #Since last year's independent variable was PD-WWX; this year I used Lan Wangji.#Unfortunately his appearances were not very evenly distributed this year! Lots of LWJ's early in the year #then a dead period in the middle. He is forever my silly rabbit. I love drawing him!#If I have to put a label on this year; I'd describe it as 'experimental'. I pushed myself to do llots of new things!#I drew lots for dungeon meshi and that really boosted my growth. More body types -clothing details - expressions!#Ryoko Kui is a great artist to learn from and It made me realize that I had a lot to gain from doing more studies.#I also started working on a whole new genre of art! While it has taken a backburner spot - I'm working on a game now!#Digital art was my enemy last year but I have been getting a feel for it now.#Goals for this year is to 1) keep working on my personal projects 2) finish PD-MDZS! and 3) practice animation!#I didn't (couldn't) draw as much as I did last year...but I had to take a lesson in humility and taking care of myself.#Drawing is something I do 'for fun' but there were many times it became more stressful than it should.#I'm still learning how to find and maintain balance with everything life throws at me.#We are all works of progress and I am trying very hard to love the process and the journey! I don't really know my destination!#But I will keep taking steps forwards. I never want to be stuck and lost as I once was.#If 2024 was a rough year for you too; We're in this together. Let's keep taking steps together. No matter how small.#Love you all so very much. You've given me strength on the darkest days. Thank you thank you thank you.

You draw amazing art, make some of the most detailed cosplays, AND ur a physicist? Bro how many hats do you wear? Every single one of those is years of hard work

but shucks ty ;-; to be fair i worked on all three of those things simultaneously and the time just passed _(:3 」�� )_ so its like sure it might take 10 years to get a physics phd, 10 years to draw the way you want to, and 10 years to learn how to craft stuff but those 10 years passed at the same time all mashed together

#the explanation that i have and im worried to make bc it comes off like an elitist ass #plus i write these words but the literal intensity of what i mean is never properly conveyed-#but bc of bipolar mania i *gotta* be doing something literally constantly. im either unconscious and asleep or rabid and awake #and i dont mean that in the cute way i mean that in the 'i have severe heart and skin problems from constant manic fervers' way #things like video games watching streamers reading books etc doesnt do it for me so all my time is spent on tactile things like art/craftin #coupled with having no social life so i never make time to go out- thus my time is 100% independent and 100% focused on those tactile thing #genuinely every day is: wake up at 5-6am and start working on art/craft #leave for work. do weird grad school work with nebulous schedules come home. do more crafting/art. sleep. wake up and do it again #and weekends are just tidying up work stuff and 100% art/crafting #i have a chode complex scramplecell work/craftmaxxing lifestyle but also if i died it would probably take 3 weeks for anyone to notice

Those gals were INSANE)#nami bbygirl im so sorry for comparing you to march you don't deserve that #ftr Ryis was the character who I mistook for a butch girl at first #also my awl wife is muffy :]

Hello everyone, first of all I want to wish all Canadians and Americans a happy independence day! Yes, it's July 1st for Canada and July 4th for Americans.

I would also say this for anyone who is interested. I want to organize something of my own. On the occasion of one year on Tumblr, on July 20th, I am organizing Moon Landing Day on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the first man walking on the Moon. It's a very important day for me, and a special one because I'm a space travel enthusiast myself. So everyone who is interested can draw some drawing, some video and photoshop and write fanfiction related to your favorite characters from cartoons, series, movies, video games, literature and other works. Just one topic, but it has to be:

• Must be related to traveling to the moon and Moon Landing. The moon and the stars must be included.

• That one or more characters wear spacesuits. Feel free to invent your version of the space suits you want.

• And no NSFW or any fetishes, pedophilia, zoophilia and incest and other nastiness, please, because that's disgusting. Otherwise, if you do, I'll block you.

• OC and OCs may be included.

• Tag me with my blog name so I know as I am the organizer of this contest as @ducksinspaceadventure

And this is just for fun and all you space travel lovers out there. 😄

Also this may apply to you Duckblr and DuckTales reboot fans as I am a fan of that great series myself. You are also welcome to this. Just follow these rules and feel free to have fun. 😊 If there are any doubts, feel free to ask me.

it's...missing smackjeeves hours..

telling myself if no one makes a good alternative for smackjeeves in the next like five years, im gonna start making one myself (only 10% serious)

i just miss like that atmosphere of 100% unmarketable, just comic sharing/making space.

where we all knew that 99% of the time the comics we see will never get finished bc ppl get busy, kids grow up and change interests ,etc. (i mention kids bc most of my memories of smackjeeves was when i was a teen, so it was a significant like developmental years as an artist kind experience for me)

like i remember most of the comics were like

barely legible sketch pages with like text written in mspaint.

there was absolutely no quality standard. and that's why it was so good

it made me as a kid feel like oh i can do comics! cause it can be WHATEVER YOU WANTED IT TO BE AND LOOK HOWEVER WAY.

and the collaborative ones on smackjeeves were so fun to look at

just overall.

having that. rough, crude, unmarketable space for art/comics was significant.

#hating the current comic spaces #the owner of smackjeeves had to sell smackjeeves to a korean mobile company that also owned a webcomic site cause the owner had health #issues and also struggled with funding the site costs #and he hoped that by being owned by a bigger company it would be taken care of better but it just eventually completely shut down #i dont have any hard feelings towards the creator ofc there's only so much an independent owner of a big site could do #so as much as i joke about i'll make it myself i do feel like it's unapproachable bc i feel like i'd run into the same issues with #not having the funds to run a site #but i am also very gungho and would be willing to just try it just for the sake of wanting bad comics to come back #please truly that was the most inspiring days for comic creating #i think beginner art and unmarketable art is like the backbone of art community imo #edit meant to write mobile GAME company not a phone comapny
