as general and master diviner they are subject to intense public scrutiny. jing yuan crafts his reputation for indolence, and everyone is taken in by the facade—finches roost on his shoulders, after all. isn't it silly? isn't it hard to take that kind of leader seriously?

and fu xuan speaks in lofty words and esoteric sayings. she doesn't seem too close to her subordinates, not in the way jing yuan is. perhaps there is also a gap there, between the common people and the mighty master diviner and her all-seeing third eye

but with each other, jing yuan is only jing yuan and fu xuan is only fu xuan. recall: throughout the xianzhou quest, fu xuan only addresses jing yuan as "general". but in their little chess matches, she calls him by name, and oh, that name comes out so easily, with so much familiarity.

and around jing yuan, fu xuan gets a little more childish, more unrestrained—she huffs, she stamps her foot, she throws insults. she's the master diviner. i wonder just how many people she can afford to be that free with.

and fu xuan is one of the few who aren't taken in by jing yuan's lazy manner. she's been ruling the luofu with him for centuries, working side by side with him to repel invaders and solve crises. she knows how he really is, knows that behind the drooping of his eyes there is a stare that can cut sharper than steel

DAY 1 ( THE START OF A GREAT WEEK)

THE PARADE DAY

In this day parade happens, we woke up early so that we can prepare and go early to our respective areas as we start our 2024 PASIKLABAN INTRAMURALS. Also in this day when the "INDAK INDAK SA KADALANAN" happens, I can see the effort of all the teams so that they can win the competition. Also I supported my friend in singing in the "DRAMATIC DUET" later that afternoon I even wore my voice out cheering for them.

I also support my idol, my beautiful and gorgeous girlfriend on their performance that morning in dancesport and my cheer and shouts are worth it because they win it, they got the title CHAMPIONS for DANCESPORT COMPETITION.

DAY 2 - DAY 3 ( THE START OF THE MOST AWAITED BALL GAMES)

BASKETBALL GAMES

In this day, our first ever game started but we fell short to the LEGENDARY LIONS BASKETBALL TEAM. We fought hard but still we aren't even close. Later that afternoon we beat the SILVER STALLIONS BASKETBALL TEAM with a ferocious 15 point deficit comeback.

In Day 3, we met our end when the team of the LEGENDARY LIONS BASKETBALL finish us with a close game. We fought very hard but we lost and we will come back next year!! Vicious Vipers!!!!

DAY 4 ( MR. AND MS. PASIKLABAN )

This is the day where our beauty queens and handsome men's showcase their talent in pageant. In Vicious Vipers there's my friend Alxeandrey Concha who joins the Mr Pasiklaban for our team. Then at first he was nervous and when the Q&A comes. We was shocked for his astonishing answer that gave him the title MR. PASIKLABAN 2024.

Also my cousin join this said pageant MR. and MS. PASIKLABAN 20204. Princess Abegail L. Maguate, My very own cousin. Behind all the struggles all of the tiring preparation and hardwork that she needs to go through. She came through on top! She wins! She succeed in her goal. I'm so proud of my cousin even though she has many bashers right now I'll stay right by her side always and always. Congrats to MS PASIKLABAN 2024 Princess Abegail L. Maguate.

DAY 5 (THE END OF AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE)

In this day the basketball championship commends and the winner is the FEARLESS FALCONS. Later that morning the LEGENDARY LIONS wins the volleyball men category. At the afternoon there goes the awarding ceremony as my team, the VICIOUS VIPERS takes 2nd place only but that's alright because we enjoy the intramurals it's a once in a lifetime experience. ANG BITIN DILI MAGPABILIN!🐍🐍

DAY 1 January 15, 2024 On the first day of intramurals, we began with a parade from oval plaza to our main campus. It's a bit exhausting and enjoyable at the same time, and seeing the enthusiasm on the faces of the students makes my heart skip a beat. When the teams execute an indak indak sa kadalanan during the parade, their happy expressions truly speak a thousand words. after the parade, The emcee gave a brief introduction to each team as we arrived at our school gymnasium. The loud cheers of each team gave me the goosebumps at that moment. I felt delighted to see my friends and classmates sitting on the other side of the bleachers, despite of my bad vision i can still see them clearly. After the morning activities, my friend Hazel participated the solo singing competition, for which I am really proud of her. From the bleachers, my friends and I were very happy as we supported and cheered her on. @mtekassayer

🍃🕊🍃 The Excellence & Acts Of Worship (A’mal) For The Month Of Sha’ban & 1st Sha’ban

✍🏼 Extract from Mafatih-ul-Jinan ✍🏼

🍃 Sha’ban is a month of high excellence and is dedicated to the Leader of the Prophets (S). He used to keep fasts during this month and join it with the month of Ramadhan. He used to say, “Sha’ban is a month dedicated to me. Whoever keeps one fast during my month will definitely go to heaven”.

It has been reported from Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (as) that on the commencement of this month, Imam Zaynal Abideen (as) would gather his companions and address them, “O my companions, do you know which month this is? It is the month of Sha’ban about which the Holy Messenger (S) used to say that it is dedicated to him. So keep fasts during this month in the love of your Holy Prophet (S) and to attain closeness to your Creator. By Allah in whose hands is my soul, I have heard from my father, Hussain ibn Ali (as), that he had heard from Commander of Faithful (as), that whoever keeps fast during Sha’ban in the love of the Holy Prophet (S) and to attain closeness to Allah will become a friend to Allah and on the Day of Judgment will be close to Allah by His grace and Paradise will be assured to him.”

Sheikh Tusi has reported from Safwane Jammal that Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (as) asked him to encourage his neighbors and friends to fast in the month of Sha’ban. He asked the Imam if there was any special significance for it, and he replied that when the month commenced, the Holy Messenger (S) would command his announcer to proclaim in Medina that the Holy Messenger (S) wished them to be aware that Sha’ban was a month dedicated to him and Allah bestows mercy on whosoever associates with him in this month by fasting. Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (as) proceeded to report from Commander of Faithful (as) that since hearing the announcement, he never missed any fast during the month of Sha’ban and, Allah willing, hoped not to miss any during the remainder of his life. He added that fasting in the months of Sha’ban and Ramadhan is a means of repentance and pardon from Allah.

Keeping fast on Thursdays of the month also carried great significance. It has been reported that the heavens are decorated each Thursday in the month of Sha’ban and the angles pray to Allah to forgive all those who fast on that day and their prayers are accepted. It is stated in the reports of the narrations of the Holy prophet (S) that whoever fasts on Mondays and Thursdays of this month, Allah will fulfill twenty of his worldly wishes and twenty of his wishes of the Hereafter.

It is recommended to give alms in this month even if it is as small as a half date. Almsgiving in this month brings about rescue from Hellfire. In this respect, it has been narrated that when Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (as) was asked about the merits of observing fasting in Rajab, he answered, “Why do you not ask about the merits of observing fasting in Sha’ban.” “What is then the reward of him who observes fasting on one day in Sha’ban, Son of Allah’s Messenger?” asked the narrator. The Imam (as) answered, “The reward will be Paradise. I swear it by Allah.” The narrator then asked again, “What are the best deeds that should be done in Sha’ban.” The Imam (as) answered, “Almsgiving and seeking forgiveness are the best deeds in Sha’ban. Verily, if anyone of you gives alms in Sha’ban, Almighty Allah will breed that alms in the very same way as you breed your small camels. Hence, this alms will be as huge as Mount Uhud on the Resurrection Day.”

🍃🕊🍃 THE FIRST EVE: 🍃🕊🍃

Numerous prayers have been reported in “IQBAL” with significant rewards:-

i) Two Rakat with Suraq Hamd & 3 times Sura Ikhlass in each & then say "O My God this is my covenant with you until resurrection day " Allhumma HadhaAhadi indak ila Yawmal qiyama"

ii) Twelve rakaats with the recitation of the Chapter on Ikhlas fifteen times after the recitation of the Chapter on Al-Hamd. in each rakat

iii) Fast for first 3 days & in each night recite 2 Rakat with Sura Hamd & Sura Ikhlass 11 times

It is a day of great excellence and it has been reported from Jafar al-Sadiq (as) that whoever fasts on that day is assured of Heaven. Seyyid ibn Tawoos has reported from the Holy Messenger (saw) that a person who fasts on the first three days of this month and on their eve recites two rakaats in each of which he recites after the Chapter on Al-Hamd, the Chapter on Ikhlas eleven times will be greatly rewarded.

In the commentary of the Eleventh Imam (as) great excellence has been reported from the month of Sha’ban and its first day and its many benefits. Thiqatul Islam Noori (May Allah brighten his grave) has translated the reported at the end of this work “KALEM-E-TAYYIB” but as the report is too long to be included here fully, a summary of it is set out:

On a first of Sha’ban Commander of Faithful (as) passed by a group of a people who were seated in a mosque discussing the subject of destiny. Their voices were raised as the arguments were heated and the contentions severe. Commander of Faithful (as) stopped and greeted them. They replied, rose in deference to him and requested him to join them. Without heeding their request, he addressed them, “O people, do not indulge in discussions not beneficial to you. Are you not aware that there are creatures of Allah who, though not dumb or incapacitated, are dumbfounded out of his fear? Whenever they think of the greatness of Allah, their tongues become tied and their hearts feeble, they lose their senses and become confounded by His glory, majesty and magnificence. When they recover from this state, they revert to Allah regarding themselves sinful, though they are distant from sin and error. They are not content with their ordinary labours of Allah nor do they regard their enormous deeds as plentiful, and constantly engage themselves in efforts for the pleasure of Allah. Whenever you see them in prayer, you will notice them fearful and anxious. How do you compare with them, you the beginners? Are you not aware that the wisest of men are the most quiet and the most ignorant are the most vocal? O fresh people, today is the first of the honored Sha’baan. Allah has so named it as the good things (khayraat) are disbursed in this month.

Allah keeps open in this month the gates of His benefaction and has made available for you His palaces and benediction for little virtue from you. So purchase them. But the cursed devil (Iblis) has embellished for you his vices and evil and you have always wandered astray and towards rebellion associating with evil and turning away from virtue of which He has opened the gates for you. This is the first of Sha’baan and the branches of its benediction are prayers, fasting, charity, admonishing towards virtue and restraining from evil, honoring the parents, relatives and neighbors, settlement of disputes and charity to the needy and poor. However, you have imposed on yourselves the load you cannot carry of discussing destiny. Enquiry into matters that are in the hands of Allah is not permissible to everybody, for it can lead to being misguided. Beware, if you knew what Allah has in store for the obedient, you would not have been indulging in such discussions but would have been engrossed in the matters prescribed for today.

“They asked, “O Commander of Faithful, what are the things Allah has kept in store this day for the obedient?” he narrated to them the episode of the army the Holy Messenger (S) had sent to fight the infidels. It was a dark night and when the infidels planned a night attach, the Muslims were all asleep except for Zaid bin Harith, Abdullah bin Rawaha, Qatadah bin No’man and Qays bin Asim Munqari. Each of them was engrossed in prayers and in recitation of the Holy Quran. The enemies shot arrows aimed at the Muslims. As it was pitch dark, the enemies could not see the Muslims to be frightened of its size and got so close to them that they were soon to destroy the Muslims. Suddenly such light beamed from the faces of these few individuals that the whole Muslim army became illuminated. This inspired the Muslims who unsheathed their swords and attacked the infidels killing them or wounding them and taking them prisoners. When they turned to the Holy Messenger (S) and narrated their encounter to him, he said that the prayers of the their brothers on the first eve of Sha’ban was the cause of the light which illuminated from their faces.

Iblis spreads out his army round the earth urging them to make special efforts to attract the creatures of Allah towards them as Allah spreads His angels on this day round the world commanding them to look after His creatures well and urge them towards virtue and stating that because of them, the creatures will turn to virtue except for the disobedient and rebellious who would have united with the army of Iblis. On the first of Sha’ban Allah surely orders the Gates of Heaven to open up and the “Tree of Tooba” to bring its branches closer to earth and at that time there is an announcement from Allah, “O creature of Allah, these are the branches of the “Tree of Tooba”, cling to them as they will lift you to Heaven and these are the branches of the “Tree of Zaqoom”, beware of them lest they lead you to Hell”. The Holy Messenger (S) said, “By the one who has appointed me to the Prophet hood, whoever adopts any virtue on this day will have clung to a branch of the branches of the “Tree of Tooba” which will take him to heaven and whoever adopts evil on this day will surely have clung to a branch of the branches of the “Tree of Zaqoom” which will take him to fire.

“Tree of Tooba” & “Tree of Zaqoom”,

Whoever will recite optional prayers on the first of Sha’ban for the pleasure of Allah will have clung to one of its branches, whoever will keep fast on this day will surely have clung to one of its branches, whoever will reconcile between husband and wife or father and son or among relatives or neighbors or other people will surely have clung to one of the branches, whoever helps one in debt or reduces it has clung to one of the branches, whoever checks his accounts and discovers a debt due to him of which the lender has lost hope of repayment and he settles the debt, he will surely have clung to one of the branches, whoever stands surety for an orphan will surely have clung to one of the branches, whoever protects the dignity of a believer from the foolish has surely clung to one of the branches, whoever recites the Holy Qur’an or a portion of it has surely clung to one of the branches, whoever remembers Allah and counts His blessings and expresses his gratitude has surely clung to one of the branches, whoever visits a sick person has surely clung to one of the branches, whoever acts virtuously towards his parents or one of them has surely clung to one of the branches, whoever on this day pleases someone he had angered in the past has also surely clung to one of the branches, whoever joins in a funeral has surely clung to one of the branches, whoever on this day comforts a distressed person has surely clung to one of the branches and, likewise whoever does any good on this day has surely clung to one of the branches.

The Holy Messenger (S) said, “By the one who has appointed me to Prophet hood, whoever on this day indulges in the evil or sin will have surely clung to one of the branches of the “Tree of Zaqoom” which will pull him to the fire of Hell. By the one who has sent me as a Messenger, whoever becomes negligent with his obligatory prayers on this day will surely have clung to one of the branches of that tree. Whoever is approached by a weak or poor person of whose condition he is aware and is able to assist him without any harm to himself, and there is none other than him to help the poor, yet leaves him to collapse without holding his hand, then surely he has clung to one of the branches of that tree. Whoever, on receiving an apology from one who had wronged him, exacts from him punishment in excess of what is just for the wrong then surely he has clung to one of the branches of that tree. Whoever causes separation between husband and wife or parent and children or between brothers or brothers and sisters or relatives or neighbours or two friends or two sisters, he has surely clung to one of the branches of that tree. Whoever is aware of the hardship of a person, yet becomes hard on him and worsens his plight by anger, has surely also clung to one of the branches of that tree. Whoever is indebted but denies the debt and endeavors to invalidate it, has surely clung to one of the branches of that tree. Whoever molests an orphan, causes him trouble or destroys his property has clung to one of the branches of that tree.

Whoever transgresses on the reputation of a brother believer and causes people to dislike him, then has surely clung to one of the branches of that tree. Whoever sings in such a manner that people indulge in sins, has surely clung to one of the branches of that tree. Whoever sits and narrates his evil deeds and oppression during a war and takes pride in them, has surely clung to one of the branches of that tree. Whoever has a sick neighbour but does not visit him as he regards him lower than himself has clung to one of the branches of that tree. Whoever fails to join in the funeral of a neighbour only because he regarded him base, has surely clung to one of the branches of that tree. Whoever turns away from a distressed person and regarding him base oppresses him has surely clung to one of the branches of that tree. Whoever has been disowned (disinherited) by his parents or either of them, has also clung to one of the branches of that tree. Whoever has been disowned (disinherited) by his parents and despite being able to please them does not do so on this day, then he surely has clung to one of the branches of that tree and, likewise, whoever does any form of evil has surely clung to one of the branches of the “Tree of Zaqoom”.

By the one who has sent me as a Messenger, the branches of the “Tree of Tooba” will elevate those who have clung to them towards Heaven.” At that time the Holy Messenger (S) raised his eyes for a few moments towards the sky and looked pleased and then lowered his sight to the earth but looked displeased and turning to his companions said, “By the one who has sent Muhammad as a Prophet, I have surely seen the “Tree of Tooba” raise itself and raise all those who had clung to it towards Heaven and saw some of those who had clung to one or more of its branches, according to the degree of their obedience. I surely saw Zayd bin Harith clinging to a number of the branches and the branches were elevating him to the highest place in Heaven. So I became pleased. Then I lowered my sight to the earth. By the one who has sent me as a Messenger, I then saw the “Tree of Zaqoom”. Its branches were lowering themselves towards Hell and all those who had clung to one or more of its branches as a result of their ill deeds. I surely saw some of the hypocrites clinging to a number of the branches which were carrying them to the lowest abyss in a hell. So I became displeased.”

For those of us who want to take a step and get closer to Allah, there is a special and opportune season. In this period of time one’s efforts and attempts are more rewarded and the journey towards Allah gets quicker. The scent of divinity and the tune of the Quran are spread everywhere. The golden opportunity of dawn (sahar) becomes more important. Righteous people identify the months of Rajab, Shaban and Ramadan as the spring of the heart.

According to some the Ahadith, the first one is the month of Velayat, the second month is the month of Prophethood and the third month is the month of Allah.

فقد روي عن أمير المؤمنين ع أنه كان يصومه (رجب) و يقول شهر رجب شهري و شعبان شهر رسول الله ص و شهر رمضان شهر الله عز و جل[1]

It is narrated about the Commander of the Faithful that he would fast in the month of Rajab and he is narrated to have said, “The month of Rajab is my month and the month of Shaban is the month of Messenger of Allah and the month of Ramadan is the month of Allah Almighty.”

According to some Islamic scholars, most of the people who wanted to start a special program for refinement of their souls and to purify themselves, implemented a forty day plan within these months.[2]

So the wayfarers towards Allah in the month of Shaban are in the middle of this spring and if they have used the opportunity of Rajab, they have already achieved a certain level of proximity to Allah. They can continue their ways and add to it by prayers, worship and recitation of the Quran. Even if some of us were lazy in the month of Rajab we can make up for our shortage in the month of Shabaan and prepare ourselves for the upcoming month of Ramadan.

The month of Shaban is really valuable and a lot of our Ahadith point to the significance of this great month. Some of our great scholars and narrators of Ahadith like Shaikh Sadooq have gathered these Ahadith in a book and in order to remind ourselves of the high rank of this month we narrate some of them here:

الصدوق بسنده عن ابن عباس قال‏قال رسول الله ص و قد تذاكروا عنده فضائل شعبان فقال شهر شريف و هو شهري و حملة العرش تعظمه و تعرف حقه و هو شهر يزاد فيه أرزاق المؤمنين و هو شهر العمل فيه يضاعف الحسنة بسبعين و السيئة محطوطة و الذنب مغفور و الحسنة مقبولة و الجبار جل جلاله يباهي فيه بعباده و ينظر إلى صيامه و صوامه و قوامه و قيامه فيباهي به حملة العرش

فقام علي بن أبي طالب ع فقال بأبي أنت و أمي يا رسول الله صف لنا شيئا من فضائله لنزداد رغبة في صيامه و قيامه و لنجتهد للجليل عز و جل فيه‏

فقال النبي ص من صام أول يوم من شعبان كتب الله له سبعين حسنة تعدل عبادة سنة ....

و من صام ثلاثين يوما من شعبان ناداه جبرئيل من قدام العرش: يا هذا استأنف العمل عملا جديدا فقد غفر لك ما مضى و تقدم من ذنوبك

Sheikh Sadooq narrates from Ibn Abbas with the chain of narration, “In the presence of Prophet Mohammad we discussed the greatness of the month of Shaban. Prophet Mohammad said, “It is an honorable month and it is my month. The carriers of the throne of Allah respect it and know its great magnitude. The blessings for the faithful increase in this month. This month is the month of performing actions, so the reward of good actions is seventy times more (than other months). The evil gets cleansed and sins get forgiven and the good deeds are accepted. Allah is proud of his servants. (In this month) Allah looks at the fast of those who fast and the worship of worshipper and boasts about it to the carriers of His throne.”[3]

At that moment Ali Ibn Abutalib stood up and asked, “May my mother and father be sacrificed before you, please tell us some of the virtues of this month so we are encouraged to pray and fast more and strive more in the way of our Beloved Lord.” Then the Prophet started with some of the rewards of fasting in this month and said, “Anyone who fasts on the first day, Allah gives him seventy rewards each equal to the reward of one year of worship….” And at the end he said, “Anyone who fasts all the thirty days of Shaban, Gabriel calls out to him from the front of Allah’s throne and says, “Start your life anew! Allah has forgiven all the sins that you had done!”[4]

الصدوق بسنده عن ابی عبد الله ع سمعت أبي قال‏:كان أبي زين العابدين ع إذا اهل شعبان جمع أصحابه فقال معاشر أصحابي أ تدرون أي شهر هذا؟ هذا شهر شعبان و كان رسول الله ص يقول: شعبان شهري ألا فصوموا فيه محبة لنبيكم و تقربا إلى ربكم فو الذي نفس علي بن الحسين بيده لسمعت أبي الحسين بن علي يقول سمعت أمير المؤمنين ع يقول: من صام شعبان محبة نبي الله ع و تقربا إلى الله عز و جل أحبه الله عز و جل و قربه من كرامته يوم القيامة و أوجب له الجنة

In another hadith Sadooq narrates from our sixth Imam that he said, “My father told me that his father gathered all of his companions on the first of Shaban and he said, “Do you know what month is this month? This month is the month of Shaban. About this month Prophet Mohammad has said, “Shaban is my special month. Be aware and fast in this month to get closer to Allah, for the love of your Prophet.”

I swear by Allah who holds my life in His Hand, I heard from my father, Imam Hussein and he said, “I heard my father Ali Ibn Abutaleb say, “Anyone who fasts in this month for the love of the Prophet and wants to get closer to Allah, Allah will make heaven obligatory for him.”[5]

About the month of Shaban, the great scholar Ayatollah Mirza Javad Maleki Tabrizi in his book of Almoraqebat said,

“This month is extremely valuable for the seekers of Allah. One of the nights that could be the Night of Qadr is in this month. From the time that Adam came to earth, God promised all of His messengers that victory will be in the hands of the man who will be born in this night (the fifteenth night). Also God promised that He will fill the earth with justice after it will be filled with oppression and cruelty.”

About the importance of this month it is enough to know that the Prophet has said, شعبان شهري، رحم اللّه من اعانني على شهري” “This month is my month and may Allah bless those who help me in this month”

Whoever hears this invitation must strive to respond to it and be included amongst the invited ones. His brother and his successor said,

«ما فاتني صوم شعبان مذ سمعت منادي رسول اللّه صلّى اللّه عليه و آله و سلّم ينادي في شعبان، فلن يفوتني ايام حياتي ان شاء اللّه»

“I have not missed the fasting in Shaban from the time that I heard someone calling out at the Prophet’s order (to encourage people for the fasting in Shaban) and I will not miss it until the end of my life Insha’Allah”.

By this hadith you can understand the significance of fasting over praying, donation and other good deeds.[6]

One of the Mostahabaat that are highly encouraged in this month is a Salawat that has been narrated from Imam Zein Al-Abedin. This salawat is not only a religious masterpiece or a lovely supplication with Allah, but it is also a deep sea of theology and knowledge. Its teachings are primarily about the Imamat and its high position in Islam.

🕊NINTH CHAPTER: THE ACTIVITIES FOR MONTH OF SHA’BAN 🕊

In this chapter, the Imam mentions two important activities of Prophet in the month of Shaban; fasting and engaging in worships.

About fasting in this month, there are many Ahadith that encourage the wakeful heart. About the fast in the Shaban Imam Reza has said,

عيون أخبار الرضا عليه السلام و الخصال بسندهِ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ عَلِيَّ بْنَ مُوسَى الرِّضَا ع يَقُولُ مَنْ صَامَ مِنْ شَعْبَانَ يَوْماً وَاحِداً ابْتِغَاءَ ثَوَابِ اللَّهِ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ وَ مَنِ اسْتَغْفَرَ اللَّهَ فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ مِنْ شَعْبَانَ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً حُشِرَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فِي زُمْرَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص وَ وَجَبَتْ لَهُ مِنَ اللَّهِ الْكَرَامَةُ وَ مَنْ تَصَدَّقَ فِي شَعْبَانَ بِصَدَقَةٍ وَ لَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ جَسَدَهُ عَلَى النَّارِ وَ مَنْ صَامَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ شَعْبَانَ وَ وَصَلَهَا بِصِيَامِ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ صَوْمَ شَهْرَيْنِ مُتَتَابِعَيْنِ

“Whoever fasts one day of Shaban, just for the sake of God’s reward he will enter the heaven and whoever repents to Allah seventy times, on the Day of Judgment he will be raised with the Prophet and God’s appreciation will be obligatory on him. Whoever donates in this month even by half of a date, God will forbid his body to go to hell. Whoever fasts three days of Shaban and connects these days to the month of Ramadan, God will give him the reward for the two complete months”[1]. Also Imam Sadeq

ثواب الأعمال بسنده عن ُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع يَقُولُ مَنْ صَامَ أَوَّلَ يَوْمٍ مِنْ شَعْبَانَ وَجَبَتْ لَهُ الْجَنَّةُ بَتَّةً وَ مَنْ صَامَ يَوْمَيْنِ نَظَرَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ وَ لَيْلَةٍ فِي دَارِ الدُّنْيَا وَ دَامَ نَظَرُهُ إِلَيْهِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَ مَنْ صَامَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ زَارَ اللَّهَ فِي عَرْشِهِ مِنْ جَنَّتِهِ فِي كُلِّ يَوْم

encourages us by a hadith that says, “Anyone who fasts the first day of Shaban, it is obligated upon him to go to heaven and anyone who fasts two days of Shaban, God will look at him every day and night in this world and he will continuously be under the observance of God’s mercy. Whoever fast three days he will visit God in the heaven in Allah’s throne”[2].

Also in another Hadith Imam Sadeq is not just encouraging the narrator, but also told him to reassure his friends and family to fast in the month of Shaban.

الْإِقْبَالُ، وَ مَجَالِسُ الشَّيْخِ، بِإِسْنَادِهِمَا عَنْ صَفْوَانَ الْجَمَّالِ قَالَ قَالَ لِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع حُثَّ مَنْ فِي نَاحِيَتِكَ عَلَى صَوْمِ شَعْبَانَ فَقُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ تَرَى فِيهَا شَيْئاً فَقَالَ نَعَمْ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ص كَانَ إِذَا رَأَى هِلَالَ شَعْبَانَ أَمَرَ مُنَادِياً يُنَادِي فِي الْمَدِينَةِ يَا أَهْلَ يَثْرِبَ إِنِّي رَسُولُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ إِلَيْكُمْ أَلَا إِنَّ شَعْبَانَ شَهْرِي فَرَحِمَ اللَّهُ مَنْ أَعَانَنِي عَلَى شَهْرِي ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّ أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع كَانَ يَقُولُ مَا فَاتَنِي صَوْمُ شَعْبَانَ مُنْذُ سَمِعْتُ مُنَادِيَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص يُنَادِي فِي شَعْبَانَ فَلَنْ تَفُوتَنِي أَيَّامَ حَيَاتِي صَوْمُ شَعْبَانَ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ ثُمَّ كَانَ ع يَقُولُ صَوْمُ شَهْرَيْنِ مُتَتابِعَيْنِ تَوْبَةٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ

Safvan Jammal narrates that, “Imam told me to encourage whoever is around you.” I asked, “Is there any (special) reward for fasting in Shaban”. Imam replied, “Yes, whenever the Prophet saw the moon (that shows the starting) of Shaban he ordered somebody to call all the people, and he would say: O the people of Yathreb, I am the messenger of Allah to you. Be aware Shaban is my month and may Allah bless those who help me in this month” Then Imam Sadeq said, “The Commander of the Faithful has said, “From the moment I heard this, I have never missed fasting in the month of Shaban and I will not miss it InshAllah.” Then Imam Ali said, “Fasting two month continuously is the repentance to Allah.”[3]

We must also request God for success and along with Imam Sajjad we must say,

“This is the month of Thy Prophet, the Messenger-in-chief, the month of Sha'ban surrounded by Thy mercy and blessings from all sides, In which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be on him and on his children) used to exert himself willingly in the matter of fasting and praying in its days and nights, to show his humility before Thee for the respect and honor Thou bestowed on him, until his last breath.”

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي عَبْدُكَ ابْنُ عَبْدِكَ ابْنُ أَمَتِكَ نَاصِيَتِي بِيَدِكَ ، مَاضٍ فِيَّ حُكْمُكَ ، عَدْلٌ فِيَّ قَضَاءُكَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِكُلِّ اسْمٍ هُوَ لَكَ سَمَّيْتَ بِهِ نَفْسَكَ أَوْ أَنْزَلْتَهُ فِي كِتَابِكَ ، أَوْ عَلَّمْتَهُ أَحَدًا مِنْ خَلْقِكَ أَوِ اسْتَأْثَرْتَ بِهِ فِي عِلْمِ الْغَيْبِ عِنْدَكَ ، أَنْ تَجْعَلَ الْقُرْآنَ رَبِيعَ قَلْبِي ، وَنُورَ صَدْرِي ، وَجَلاءَ حُزْنِي ، وذَهَابَ هَمِّي

Translation

"O Allah, I am Your slave, son of Your slave, son of Your handmaid, my forelock is in Your hand (i.e. You have total mastery over me), Your command over me is forever executed and Your decree over me is just." I ask You by every name belonging to You which You named Yourself with, or revealed in Your Book, or You taught to any of Your creation, or You have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the life of my heart and the light of my bosom, and a departure for my sorrow and a release for my anxiety. Note: Allah will take away the anxiety and sorrow out of the heart of him who recites this supplication, as mentioned in this hadith by our prophet (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

Transliteration

allaahumma innee ‛abduk-abnu-‛abdik-abnu-amatik, naaṣiyatee biyadik, maaḍin fiyya ḥukmuk, ‛adlun fiyya qaḍaa’uk, as’aluka bi kull-ismin huwa lak, sammayta bihi nafsak, aw anzaltahu fee kitaabik, aw ‛allamtahu aḥadan min khalqik, awis-ta’tharta bihi fee ‛ilmil-ghaybi ‛indak, an taj‛al-al-quraana rabee‛a qalbee, wa noora ṣadree, wa jalaa’a ḥuznee, wa dhahaaba hammee

17 Ağustos'un yıl dönümünde Bursa İnegöl deprem gerçeğini hatırlattı

İnegöl Belediyesi 17 Ağustos Marmara depreminin 25’inci yıl dönümünde kent merkezinde kurulan stant ve açılan sergiyle deprem gerçeğini vatandaşlara bir kez daha hatırlattı.

BURSA (İGFA)- İnegöl Belediyesi 17 Ağustos 1999 tarihinde meydana gelen ve ülke tarihimizin sonuçları itibariyle en acı depremlerinden biri olarak kayıtlara geçen Gölcük Merkezli depremin 25. Yıl dönümünde, deprem gerçeğini hatırlatmak adına bir dizi etkinlik gerçekleştirdi.

İnegöl kent merkezinde İnegöl Doğal Afetler Arama Kurtarma Ekibi (İNDAK), İHH ve ANDA iş birliği ile farkındalık standı oluşturuldu. Aynı zamanda ülkemizde geçmişten bu gününe yaşanmış depremlerden görsellerin yer aldığı bir fotoğraf sergisi açıldı. Gün boyu burada vatandaşlara bilgilendirmeler yapılıp deprem gerçeğine dair farkındalık oluşturuldu.

AK Parti Bursa Milletvekili Ayhan Salman, İnegöl Belediye Başkanı Alper Taban ve AK Parti İlçe Başkanı Mustafa Durmuş’ta standı ziyaret etti. Burada bir açıklama yapan Başkan Alper Taban, “Bugün 17 Ağustos. Biliyorsunuz 1999 yılında önemli bir afet yaşadık, bundan tam 25 yıl önce. Dolayısıyla yine 2 Şubat 2023’te yaşadığımız bir Kahramanmaraş depremi vardı. Ben öncelikle bugün vesilesiyle depremlerde kaybettiğimiz tüm vatandaşlarımıza Allah’tan rahmet diliyorum. Bu konuda ad farkındalıkları arttırabilmek adına bugün bir dizi etkinliğimiz oldu. Ben katkı ve destek veren İNDAK, ANDA ve İHH ekiplerimize ve temsilcilerine çok teşekkür ediyorum” dedi.

İNEGÖL BELEDİYESİ DEPREM İLE İLGİLİ NELER YAPIYOR?

Bugün artık deprem gerçeğinin daha iyi bilindiğini ve hazırlık yapıldığını ifade eden Başkan Taban, de İNDAK ile bir protokol imzalayıp arama kurtarma konusunda çalışmalar yaptıklarını ancak diğer İHH ve ANDA gibi kurumlarımızla da iş birliği halinde olduklarını kaydetti. “İnegöl’de 76 ayrı noktada toplanma alanlarını oluşturduk” diyen Başkan Taban, “Bunlara web sayfalarımızdan ulaşabilirler. Arama kurtarma ekiplerimiz için yapay enkaz alanı oluşturduk. Eğitim ve çalışmalar yapılmasını katkı sunuyoruz. Gönüllü vatandaşlarımıza afetler konusunda eğitim vermek amacıyla Beşinci Mevsim Kültür Merkezimizde bir eğitim ofisi tahsis ettik. İnegöl Doğal Afetler Arama Kurtarma Ekibi (İNDAK)’a malzeme ve ekipman desteği yaptık, ihtiyaçlar doğrultusunda yapmaya devam ediyoruz. AFAD ve üniversite iş birliği ile ilçemizin Doğal Afetler Risk ve Eylem Planı’nı oluşturduk. Şehrin dijital ikizinin oluşturulması için çalışma başlatıldı. Yeni dönemin en önemli çalışmalarından biri olacak. Bir yandan da kentsel dönüşüm çalışmalarıyla daha sağlıklı yapılar üreterek süreci destekliyoruz” diye konuştu.

AK Parti Bursa Milletvekili Ayhan Salman da, deprem farkındalığı için yapılan sergiyi de çok değerli bulduğunu ifade ederek, “Bizim arzumuz depreme daha dayanıklı konutlarda vatandaşlarımızın oturması. Ben bu organizasyon için de hem belediyemize hem arama kurtarma ekiplerimize teşekkür ediyorum. İyi ki varlar. Bizler de onlara her konuda destek olmaya devam edeceğiz” dedi.
