its been a while, here’s a little update on my tarot project 🧌 i’m kind of starting over, i made some design changes to most of the cards i had done before and i’ve started re-carving them at a slightly bigger size. making a deck this way is a huge labor of love that i’ve wanted to do for years, and part of the reason it took me a while to even start was the fact that my drawing style / design skills / tastes are ever changing, but i feel a lot more solid in my design choices now than i did before. once i have these re-dos done yall can expect to see me yap about the deck a lot more often

If you ever go into traditional art in any way, then we HEAVILY suggest investing in a good ruler. A metal one, without the rounded edges that you'll see in some stores. You WILL want its assistance in drawing straight edges, you WILL want to be able to reliably measure any piece of paper you might need to cut down to size, you'll probably use it far more often than you'd expect, and the durability of a metal ruler will mean you will almost definitely never have to replace it and also let you use it as a multitool for anything that may require a flat hunk of metal.

Just caught up on the last two years of Something Positive and I've got to say, for a comic I've been casually following on and off for the last two decades at this point, it's always wild to look at it as a story of aging and changing priorities, particularly in regards to where it started and where it is now. Especially when you compare Rory's prominence as a character to the very first joke.

(The Alan Moore comic remains one of my all time favourite set pieces in S*P)
