The horror of immortal whumpee with superhealing. The horror of not leaving scars. The horror of it's not visible, it's not lasting, so it didn't happen.

You can hurt them and hurt them and hurt them and hurt them and hurt them again.

And everyone just sees clear skin, sees youthfulness. No evidence of suffering remains.

It doesn't look like anything happened to them, so how could they still suffer from it?

Why should others give them empathy, give them care, when there's nothing to care about. Why should they themselves?

Just look at them. Nothing happened.

This came randomly to me but imagine an au where neil gets into the habit of doodling on andrew instead of his hw and one day he just draws the key that Andrew gave him from memory. And Andrew just. Gets it tattooed. From then on it opens a floodgates and anything that neil draws that Andrew likes gets just drawn on permanently

That's so sweet I think I'm getting a cavity!

I always think of Neil getting the Key (on his hip where Andrew kissed him during THE SHOWER SCENE) and Andrew getting the Keyhole over Neil's favorite spot to kiss on his neck (Andrew may in fact like Neil's fetish).

Nicky makes some jokes but for Andrew Neil unlocked a lot of stuff (feelings / experiences) for him and for Neil Andrew is home.

so many lol, they're my sparkledog oc, i just keep adding things to them 😂 they rly like body mods in an unconscious/unexamined bodily autonomy way, im thinking abt redesigning their tattoos since they've changed a lot as a character since i made them tho

this was the original idea i had but the artist worked with me to help make it more simple and cutesy for a tattoo design cause i designed it from just an artist’s perspective

shes so cute and i’m obsessed with her it was worth the pain and the migraine i got from no caffeine

Immortal Ink

Thinking about immortal characters getting tattoos over and over again.

Sometime it's new tattoos. People who resurect getting the same tattoo in every body, clinging to something permanent and long gone. Getting completely new tattoos in every body, seeking out the most talented artists each time.

People who heal, and they can take the ink but after enough healings it'll disappear. Reminding themselves that there are parts of their body they can control, inking fresh designs each century to remind themselves they're more than pain.

People who's tattoos are signs of their achivements and maybe it's been two hundred years, maybe they're been resurrected five times since then, but like hell are they not keeping that record. If it ever looks like that style of tattooing will die out they'll learn it before they let time take those marks from them.

People whose tattoos don't get lost with resurrection or healing, but they will fade after a time. Getting them touched up every 50 or 60 years, another cycle complete, one of many rituals to mark the passing years. Or letting them fade to nothing then getting a new set.

saw that last ask about daffodils and was suddenly hit with an intense wave of nostalgia for when i was a kid and daffodils would bloom by the side of the road next to our house every summer and my dad would bring some inside and put them in a little vase on the windowsill for me

They are so nostalgic for me too, like they have always been around me my whole life cause my mom would dig up the bulbs and bring them with us every time we moved. And idk they just make me think of the summer and eating wild strawberries in the shade with my sisters. They're such a special little flower

the thing about golden kamuy is that if you took basically any of the characters and slotted them into another series they would be the most batshit insane character in that series. but you line them all up together and they’re just one of the boys.

god I'm actually fucking angry like yes I know his character peaked and there wasn't anywhere else to go with him fine sure narratively it makes the most sense but also. That was my emotional support bitchy first mate and im mad abt it 😡
