Winter offerings in the forest. We're in for a dynamic mix of energies this weekend—no kidding. The standout force, heavy, intense, and assertive, is the ongoing Mercury Mars conjunction squared with Chiron throughout the entire weekend.

A standalone Mercury Mars conjunction usually ushers in a positive vibe. We become more enthusiastic, inspired, and geared up for action. However, it also heightens our awareness of sources of irritation and frustrating situations during this period.

In response to these situations, impulsive actions may come to the forefront, a surge of blood to the head, as Mercury and Mars square with Chiron in Aries. This dynamic creates a personal sense of woundedness or a feeling of not being able to attain our desires.

This can lead to the surfacing of frustration and anger, and with the Leo full moon in play, there's an urgent need to express oneself and step into the spotlight. The Sun square to Jupiter boosts confidence and encourages bold self-expression.

The weekend's energy might manifest as pent-up frustration, anger, or a release of intense emotions. Paradoxically, this is exactly what needs to happen—a time to share your feelings, even if it doesn't come out flawlessly.

Imbolc celebration

I followed a suggestion i found on insta and made a little ritual with candles put in the pattern of a constellation. I picked the dolphin constellation bc I wanted to still have some water reference, even if ocf the main element was fire.

I used yellow, orange and golden candles, lit them up and then did a little tarot spread about the meaning of Imbolc.

Afterwards I first lit up the candle i keep for my skincare, then the light, so that when i blew out the candles it wouldn't turn dark again (bc Imbolc is the return of light).

Not pictured, but i also kept a night light on the whole night (in the bathroom bc i'm used at sleeping with only light from the window) to symbolize light. I woke up at dawn to open the windows and let light in and only then i turned off the night light!

Imbolc is pretty special for me bc it was the first Sabbat that i was aware of and celebrated with a reading, so I'm happy that I've been able to celebrate it properly this time!

Note: yesterday was cloudy, but this morning when i opened the window it was (still is) very sunny which adds to the energy of Imbolc imo!

Blessed Imbolc Ritual of Protection, Cleansing, and Healing overlooked by my patron. I had such an amazing time I wanted to share some of the things I did but won't go into too deep details as it's very personal to me and my practice.

Here is the salt cardinal directions I set up. They salt is mixed with lilies and sunflowers which I hand crushed myself from dried flowers from September 2024, which were left over from decreased honoring birthday celebrations. I had a lot of it left over but only used it sparingly for this ritual as it was not the focus. I left the white candle burn down into nothing to start a new beginning. As I waited I did a tarot card reading with my patron that corresponded to each of the four directions.

All in all it was a successful ritual and the first I'd been able to cast in a while. Being a disabled witch makes it hard to sit down and do these things but when I can I always feel amazing. Here's a reminder to do what you can with your witchcraft and remember that everyone's journey and rituals will always look different.
