˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ YANDERE!JOCK who’s obnoxiously loud with his friends. Their table is surrounded with the soccer team. Their voices are 1/2 of the noise in the hall.
˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ YANDERE!JOCK who overheard someone speaking about his team. “God, I hate them all. They’re so self centered! I wonder if they know that not everyone cares about soccer like they do.”
˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ YANDERE!JOCK who immediately frowns after he hears that. Someone hates him? No way he tries to be nice to everyone! He's so self centered?? He didn’t know that :(( (You were generalising but okay..)
˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ YANDERE!JOCK who attempts to find the source of who said those words and his eyes land on you. You were on a table with two of your other friends chatting and side eyeing his team. He’s determined to make you realise he’s a decent person!
˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ YANDERE!JOCK who walks over to your table with a sad grin and puppy dog eyes but he quickly replaces it with a wide grin. “Hey I'm Alex!!”
˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ YANDERE!JOCK who recognises you. You’re in his history class! You lent him a pen and he gave it back. He thought you guys had some solidarity going on but it turns out you don’t?
˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ YANDERE!JOCK who always thought you were attractive, You were cute and quiet in class, He never knew you disliked him.
˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ YANDERE!JOCK who notices you freeze when he comes up to you. Are you scared of him? Just because he’s 3x stronger than you and towers over you doesn’t mean he’s going to hurt you!
˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ YANDERE!JOCK who wants to be your friend! He needs to have a good reputation with everyone in the school. With a pout he explains, “I can’t help but overhear you saying you hate me…did i do something wrong”
˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ YANDERE!JOCK who makes you feel a little bad for saying all of that. The way he’s staring at you makes it feel like he’s a high school girl who just got rejected by the love of her life.
˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ YANDERE!JOCK who ignores the stares the other jocks give him, because he’s interacting with someone who’s talking shit about them. He doesn’t care! He needs to have a good reputation with everyone especially with his classmates.
˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ YANDERE!JOCK who sulks when you ignore him and he slowly walks back to his table. He’s not as excited as he was before. The teammates notice that and now they heavily dislike you. How dare you make the sunshine of the group sad!?! :(
˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ YANDERE!JOCK who never gave up. After english, you rushed out the class only to be stopped by Alex. He gives you a proposition. If you come to his next practice and hang out with him after, he’ll help you revise for history!
˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ YANDERE!JOCK who frowns when you point out you have a higher grade than him. Come on! Just find him nice already!
˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ YANDERE!JOCK who will not stop bothering talking to you, until you become friends! Your friends don’t like him so why doesn’t he bother them? Many people care for him but…why does he care that you don't?

Just rembered that Stiles' grandfather is canonically named Elias and I'm just... why would they name Derek's son Eli? Why make him so sarcastic and similar to Stiles, distinctly mention him PASSING OUT at the sight if his fangs, give him that strangely close relationship with the Sheriff, and even go as far as to have Stilinski PERSONALLY GIVE HIM THE JEEP???
At what point does it no longer count as subtext?

Here's what's confusing me about the narrative direction the TSAMS shows have taken:
What could happen possibly led them to this decision?
Like, I dont think Davis or Reed or Kat are stupid. They SURELY have to know that the characters they're playing are acting WAY out of character, right? They HAVE to realize how much character/narrative assassination and shark jumping this whole arc has become, right?
Like what is the purpose? We HAD plotlines. The whole point of Moons grief and identity crisis versus Eclipses growth in getting Solar back was doing just fine. But instead, the WHOLE thing got absolutely sideswiped. This thing that Moon turned into DOESNT MAKE SENSE. Earth crossing the line from setting a boundary to hating a family member DOESN'T MAKE SENSE. The collective deciding that the solution is to bring Old Moon back DOESNT. MAKE. SENSE. So why did the narrative go like this?
And dont get me wrong, I have had issues with the shows narrative directions before. But even if I thought they weren't the best ways to go, I could at least see an understanding in how it worked with characters and plot direction. But nothing about this is satisfying or makes sense with what we've gotten from the show before.
It could be this was all a point to get Old Moon back by making the audience hate New Moon. But that doesnt make sense either. First of all, while I know there are people who DESPERATELY want the Old Moon back, a LOT of people (myself included) have been swayed by how much New Moon has grown and improved, and generally think this turned out better. Secondly, you arent going to get the audience to hate New Moon by forcing him into this abrupt personality shift that leads him in the EXACT OPPOSITE DIRECTION of his character. That's not good writing, that's not good plot. ESPECIALLY if you hafta force the characters to act differently than they should to move it in the direction you want.
I really believe that these show creators know this. Even with the (imho) shakier narrative choices, they've STILL managed to pull out some really good narratives and development. If the character of Miku is any indication, they DO know how awful that sort of writing is. And while apparently the Discord is on fire with fighting, I really see more of a collective arc negativity from the fandom, so I doubt they're unaware of how unhappy their audience is.
So what could they possibly be working towards that would have them make these decisions? What were they trying to do that either messed up so badly or was worth the risk of viewer dissatisfaction to achieve? What could possibly be the end goal of this arc that would make any of this REMOTELY satisfying?
They've asked us to "trust the process" before. At this point, the way this arc has gone, I dont know how they could resolve this arc that would make the fandom feel like it was WORTH trusting.

First night — 1,7k words
Two for one deal au
-
Moon entered his and his brother's room through the window balcony with the cable, as soon as he landed heading quietly with rushed steps to the small secret area where they had left the children sleeping soundly.
To be fair, he did finish his patrols in record time. He couldn't leave them for too long, after all. It'd be not only irresponsible, but dangerous as well.
Peaking his head through the entrance with a soft smile, he gazed over to where they had improvised a bed to the two little lambs; and in doing so, he froze. There was only one children on the bed, the boy.
" where— "
It couldn't have been abduction, they would have taken both the kids. Then, maybe she woke up and wandered around on her on. But there's only one door, which is heavily locked, and the only other entrance is a literal free-fall from the goddamn balcony—
He looked around the small room, Sun screaming on their shared head to find her, and his eyes very quickly spotted something weird. The little girl, awake, sitting on top of the arcade machine while hugging tightly the Sun plushie given to her for her to sleep, curled up on herself with her braided hair covering most of her face, the scrunchie that had been holding it back long lost and forgotten somewhere, while she stared ever so intensely at him, unblinking. Relief washed over their servos, together with confusion, and his code acting up on the fact she should be very much sleeping at this moment.
" ...starlight, " he whispered softly, ever so carefully making his way to her, "what are you doing up? What are you doing there? Naughty Naughty." How did you even get up there, he kept the last comment to himself.
The only response he got was her prolonged stare.
Right, she's mute.
Goddammit.
He sighed internally, not letting it reach his voice box, "Sun. Are there paper, pen? Board, maybe?"
"I think so, but can she write? It's so dark here."
"I'll find a way,"  he lifted his arms to her, "c'here, Sunshine, down we go," she just glared at him for a long moment, then at the entrance, and then at him again, hesitating for a second longer before going down the arcade and into his arms.
"It's late" he mused, "go to sleep."
There was not even the slight movement in her tiny frame, but he took the lack of any expression along the carefully watching eyes as a decline to that.
The was a click on his endo, "nightmare?", to that, she shook her head.
He put her down and started looking through the piles of materials, managing to find a tiny whiteboard she could use to talk. The leds in his eyes gave a dim illumination to the room, which should be enough. Handing her the item, he asked again "what are you doing up?"
He crouched, tilting his faceplate, while she slowly turned and used the wall as a base to write on.
"Watching so monsters dont get us", the phrase surprisingly clear considering how hard to see it is, and how little this kid seems to know how to write.
"Monsters?" A nod.
"There's no monsters here."
"So she woke up scared. Be nice."
"I heard. I know."
She frowned, making a line under the text to emphasize there are, and after the night those two had, who could blame her.
He slouched forward as to get close to her height, but didn't make any movement to get any closer, "there are not. I was out, i scared them away. I keep watch, you sleep," the kid sighed, shaking her head.
"You friend with monsters and bad guys"
"Why do you think that?"
"they here with you, everyone here. The grown ups, the robots"
"I'll never be friends with anyone who disturbs a good kid like you", he insisted, while slowly stretching his hand towards her, when she didn't pull away despite glaring at it, he put in on the top of her head, stroking gently.
"Can't sleep."
He refrained a tsc to erupt from his voice box, thinking for a moment, before tilting his faceplate, "let's play a game", he suppressed a chuckle as the kid's attention picked up, "if you win, I'll stay awake. I'll scare aaaaall the other little monsters away, forever. But you have to defeat me."
The little girl didn't answer, but her eyes frantically scanned his face for any sort of malice, and the room, for what he guessed would be any way to defend herself. Her unsure gaze stopped on the asleep boy, who turned uncomfortably but overall  rested deeply unaware of the unfounding conflict, before going back at the animatronic, an anxious stance, but decided. He was about to question her again, before something came flying to his face at full force: the plush of his brother she had been holding a moment ago.
The attack knocked his faceplate aback. Taking advantage of it, he made a glitchy, surprised squeal emit from his voice box, then promptly and dramatically falling back, as if he had been fatality wounded. He could feel her anxious gaze on him as he simply laid there for a few moments, tiny hands reaching for a nearby colored block ready to attack again. Slowly, he sat back up, equally emptily staring at the child, before making a theatrical bow with the most dumb and fantasy-like voice he could manage, "Knight Moon at your service~!"
He almost chuckled at the surprised welp that escaped the child, that she managed to keep low.
She frowned, still not completely fooled, but still asked anyway, which was an improvement. "on our side?"
"Yes, yes" His smile grew, "quite the strong one, aren't you", a full spin of the faceplate as his position straightened while sitting, shoulders high with his hands clutching to the end of his leg, "i lost, yes, so i shall protect you."
He noticed the way she eyed the plushie, now laying abandoned and defeated on the ground behind him. He handed the toy back to her, which she held way too tightly. Opening to her his arms, movement that made her freeze for a long instant, feet glued to the ground in wariness, but eventually giving in when he didn't budge, keeping always a soft, amazed smile on his face plate.
Moon cradled her carefully on his arms, making sure she was as comfortable as possible as the little kid laid on him while he moved closer to the makeshift bed, sitting right next to it and leaning on the wall. He shifted his attention for a moment at the sleeping boy: his rest had not been disturbed at all at his theatrics, barely moved from where he laid with a steady breathing and low, resting heartbeat. Good. He must have been exhausted.
Again started the music box, but Sunshine gripped the edge of the ruffles on Moon's neck, shaking her head.
"Don't she trusts us?"
"She does, she came to us."
"Then why does she refuses?"
"Maybe a moondrop would help,"  he stared down at her, faceplate clicking once, twice. She did not have the board nor a pen anymore.
"Protect you," the little girl mouthed ever so slowly, not a single sound leaving her throat. It gave the attendant a pause.
"Protect us?", he repeated in a whispery tone, receiving a nod, so he did read it right.
"So the monsters can't—" she yawned, "can't get you. Or him."
Well, that was adorable. And frustrating, since she refused to sleep. And incredibly silly, since he's the boogeyman. He's the one who gets people.
Moon tapped his faceplate a few times, before raising his finger as an idea struck him, "what if," he bopped her nose, "I block this little area, and make little trap— would you sleep then?"
He was not disappointed (rather, relieved, because finally) when she nodded her head in affirmation, though she did nuzzle a little further in him as if ashamed.
Moon carefully laid her down on the improvised bed she should never have left, and started to wander around, picking up a few loose colored blocks and stuffing it up the entrance of the secret room, blocking any possibility to walk in or out without knocking over everything. He took off one of his bells and hanged it on top so that it'd make noise in case anything fell. While he worked, he could feel tiny eyes burning on his back.
He turned back to the little star, only to see her putting her pillow to the side, where moon was previously sitting, and patting it as she eyed him. He couldn't help but to chuckle as he made his way back to her.
Moon picked it up, and put it back under her head as he guided the child to lay back down and covered her up with the blanket, sitting back next to her.
"There," he smiled, "now sleep, stubborn little lamb," he covered her eyes with one hand. She moved her tiny little fingers up and patted his hand a few times, as if wishing goodnight.
Moon lifted his hand one he was sure she had succumbed to Morpheus' embrace, which was unsurprisingly quickly. A child her age should never be up so late to begin with. This sure was lot of unnecessary trouble just to get one kid to bed.
Who the hell made a child so wary and scared of 'monsters', anyway? And able to believe in them still.
It didn't matter, he was there now. And the children were resting, as they should be. The music box kept on playing as he hummed, lost in thought, unmoving from where he sat next to them.
He'd bother with charging later.
Those two were staying here now. How to take care of them?
"We will figure it out."
"We are caretakers, anyway."
The children did not wake up after this, specially not when the Attendant growly warned off an welcome guest that stopped by on the middle of the night. They need to sleep. There's not a soul who's to wake them. It's their job to make sure of it.

So, I haven't gotten too far into Nightbringer to write any specific smut for it. (Literally only just started lesson 6). But I do have some ideas!!
A lot of my ideas revolve around being the demon's "first" in something. Like, you know your demons inside and out at this point. You know all their kinks, fantasies, and where to touch them to make them squirm. So you can introduce them to all sorts of things that make them scream in the future but they have no experience with now.
For example, showing Lucifer how much of a masochist he is. I don't think Lucifer is a complete virgin in Nightbringer as I think he fooled around as an angel at least a few times. I mean, he's still a few thousand years old, he was bound to get curious and try getting frisky with a few angels. But him trying out BDSM? I seriously doubt it.
So once you and him finally fall into bed together, you show him all the ways he didn't know he loved to be touched. Having such an inexperienced Lucifer is a bit of a novelty and a bit of an annoyance. Present day Lucifer knew what he wanted and he wasn't ashamed of asking for it. The Lucifer you're currently bedding? Doesn't know what he wants.
It's actually really cute how shy Lucifer is. How he tries so hard to stifle his moans when you heard much louder, much needier ones from your present Lucifer.
And you don't want to push him. It's entirely possible that past Lucifer has no interest in BDSM. That his particular taste for masochism and being owned evolved after many centuries.
But you still want to try, to possibly open his eyes to a new world of domination and submission.
So one evening, one careful evening you've been planning for. One evening in which you make sure that his brothers haven't wreaked havoc, one evening where Diavolo doesn't up to distract Lucifer cause him stress. One perfect, relaxing evening, you spring the question onto him.
"Lucifer, have you heard about BDSM?" You ask in your most light, most casual tone to not raise any alarm bells and spook the demon.
Lucifer pauses his undressing, his hands suspended in the air as his tie hangs loosely around his neck. He turns to you in slow motion, looking so bewildered and confused that it makes you want to laugh. Surely your demon couldn't be that pure right? You know he's only been a demon for a little more than a year now, but, come on.
"I'm sorry, have I heard about what?"
"BDSM! Like, Bondage, Domination, Submissive, Masochism. Have you heard of people doing that sort of thing in bed?"
Lucifer's face turns a bright scarlet and he turns away from you. Like, actually physically turning his full back to you, turning away from you. You can see his ears still burning though, and elect not to tease him about it in worry that if you do, Lucifer might become so embarrassed he'll stop being the Avatar of Pride.
"It's fine if you haven't. If you would rather I never bring it up again say the word and I wouldn't." You tell him, concern starting to creep in.
"No. No, it's fine. I just. Why did you choose to bring that topic up?" He asks stiffly, hands clenching and unclenching at his sides. A classical Lucifer "I'm nervous about this topic because it inflicts Feelings in me" move.
"I was just wondering. I have been in dom/sub relationships in the, um, past, and was wondering if that was something you'll be into," you say gently, so extremely gently. "It's fine if that's not something you're into." You add.
"You have?" He asks in surprise, and because you know him so well, with a hint of excitement. "What... what role did you fall into?"
Relief crashes into you like a tidal wave. He's into it. He's really into it from what you can tell. He hasn't had any experience with subbing, you know because your Lucifer didn't when you meet him, but he was so desperate to finally try he practically threw himself at your feet.
Not this Lucifer though. This Lucifer most likely knows of the idea, maybe he picked up some porn featuring a dom/sub relationship and knows on some level that he's interested in subbing, but hasn't had the time to stew in that knowledge like your Lucifer did.
"Dominate." You say with confidence, a grin painting your face. "I like control in the bedroom."
And judging by the shiver that shoots up Lucifer's spine at your words, so does he.
Grinning, you stand and begin stalking towards your prey.
"I like taking control of my partner. Make them beg for relief. And if they misbehave, I like to punish them."
"Do. Do you?" Lucifer asks breathlessly.
You're standing behind him and you know he knows you're there. His demon sense picking up on it, and by the way he almost leans backward as if to meet your touch, you know he wants you.
"I do." You state confidently, mere inches away from Lucifer.
"But," your hand grasps Lucifer's shoulder and he flinches. "If my partner didn't want that...." You give him a light pull and he complies, turning to face you.
And oh, what a sight that is.
You missed your subby little Luci. You missed his cute moans, his tears as you edged him, and his screams when you overstimulated him. And you missed his flushed face when you lowered him into subspace.
And this? This perfectly mimics that face.
"Oh, baby." You breathe out, fighting the urge to pepper his face in kisses and pull him into your chest.
"And what if I do? Would you do those things to me?" Lucifer asks, and you're so, so proud of him for asking.
"Darling, I would do all that and more." You say as you kiss him.
Like your Lucifer did in the past, like he will do in the future, he lets you take control.

people sure do love consuming content but ignoring art huh
is it really that hard to click a kudos button (not the tumblr like button, seriously fuck that noise) if you reach the end of a fic, or writing two words ("loved/liked this") to encourage a writer?
also is it *really* that difficult to hit reblog on this site? be real with me for a second. is it?
yall are just bunch of consumers who are destroying any fun in making and sharing art cause yall are so conditioned to the quick-and-fast-blink-and-you-miss-it consumerism of modern social media content
CLICKING BUTTONS TO ENCOURAGE AND SHARE STUFF IS FREE. TYPING OUT TWO WORDS TO TELL SOMEONE YOU LIKED THEIR WORK ENOUGH TO FINISH READING IT IS FREE AND TAKES FIVE SECONDS MAX
you literally have no excuse. thats all

I wanna know ur Fontaine msq criticisms 👁️👁️👂I’m all ears
I'm not sure if you wanted me to talk about this secretly or publicly but! Here I go!
The TLDR: Fontaine MSQ aestheticised prison, poverty, child abuse, the justice system/court and didn't properly address any of it.
More:
Focalors/Furina has way too much of a sympathetic angle for a dictator who's lets people drown with her inaction.
Neuvillette feels Bad for sentencing some people to death/prison, but that's it. He's one of the most powerful people in Fontaine. If he felt like there are systemic injustices, I.E sending an abused Child to prison, he should be the first person to DO something about it, not just cry and be sad so the audience can be like aw, that's complex character writing isn't it? No it's not! And guilt doesn't absolve you!!!!!!! (These are stuff we deal with in OTCOJ read my fic now /j)
Meropide has children in it, both Sentenced there (Wriothesley) and BORN THERE (Lanoire), and this is just a quirk of the place. Not only that, Meropide accepts prisoners of all genders and crimes. There are abusers and abuse victims in one place. Do you know how bad that is? How much potential for crimes to happen in a place like that— oh wait, Meropide isn't under Fontaine's jurisdiction. If you are assaulted as an inmate it literally means nothing to the court.
Wriothesley had no qualifications when he took over. Depending on how long he lived on the streets, how old he was when he killed his parents, how old he was when he was first taken in by the orphanage, etc, the man might never have more than 4–5 years of formal education. Sigewinne probably had to teach him how to write reports. And do Meropide's spreadsheets. Edit because I forgot to elaborate on this one: This isn't a point brought up anywhere, which is bad, because when poverty and incarceration robs you of a proper education (and the rights to vote in many places too, too, by the way), it reduces your prospects for jobs, reduces many people's ability to get a home etc etc. Wriothesley was just, narratively, Given his position.
Meropide is an industrialized prison, and they portray this as a good thing. Prisoners are paid in coupons for their labour, and this is also portrayed as a good thing.
The One-Meal-A-Day reform was something Paimon gushed about being so great of a perk, that people might want to go to jail for food (could be interesting and reflective of systemic poverty if MHY had brains, but they don't, so I was just Pissed because essentially all Paimon wanted to say was "Prison isn't so bad, but still don't go to prison guys! Prison labour is really hard!"). By the way, in most real-world prisons they are obligated to feed you three meals a day. Because that's how much food a human needs. MHY went with one meal just so they can say "if you want to eat more, you have to work." And then the welfare meal is a goddamn gacha. So imagine you're a starving child who's too weak to work in the fucking robot assembly line, and you wander up for your first meal in 24 hours, only to luck in with a shit one. I'd kill myself.
They wrote Wriothesley, who's a victim of the system, into a guy who's say shit like "I'm the Duke I can do whatever I want" for a cool moment where he choke-slams an inmate (I know he was a bad guy. But also, in copaganda when cops are violent/disregarding protocols, they are always only portrayed to do that against bad guys, so what does our critical thinking tells us about this one?) They wrote Wriothesley, who was an inmate of a prison so bad, so notorious that it is the literal boogeyman of Fontaine, that has a legal (???) fighting pit, with an administrator who abuses his position to be unreasonable, to willingly stay in the place and become an Administrator who would choke-slam an inmate while saying a cool line about how he has the power to do whatever he wants. They wrote him, the guy who had to be fed on the streets by melusines, to think one-meal-a-day was a good enough reform (while he spends god-knows how much on his boat). This wasn't a victim-turns-into-abuser narrative either, they want all this to be seen as positive character growth.
And then, the final kicker is, they gloss over his entire abuse. You can only read about these shit in his profile, which most people don't because they don't Have Him or doesn't care to unlock it/read it online, and they jammed his entire backstory into a flaccid info-dump at the end of his character story quest. This man isn't Allowed to feel abused and neglected and show any reaction to it within the narrative of Fontaine itself, because if they actually Gave Weight to what happened to him, they'd have to confront THE FUCKING JUSTICE SYSTEM they had NO PLANS on criticising. I don't think they ever explicitly said the fucking Crime-Theatre nonsense was Bad either.
I could go on, but this is already so long. But yeah, I hope this gave you an idea.
#and then. and im putting my most controversial opinion in the tags bc im scared lmao. but like... then... you have the fans..... doing......#the same fucking thing.#the amount of times I have seen Wriothesley used as just a side prop for Neuvillette to feel bad about shit. While Wriothesley is just.....#portrayed as having the inner peace and acceptance of a fucking monk. I was shocked when I read some fics I swear#they really said this man has no trauma at all! the stuff in his past? he's over it!#i hate that passivity when writing victims. like ok if One is written like that#sure. but MHY write all their victims like this#I mean look at fucking Lanoire#and Neuvillette sentenced him to prison after he killed his parents who were never confronted by the law. That's canon.#that's more canon than WRLT itself.#why weren't they confronted? did wriothesley try to talk to someone about it? why did he feel like killing them is his only option ?????#at least have there be some sort of conflict and friction there. How does Wriothesley feel about the court and Neuvillette when#this is the literal system that allowed all that shit to happen to him in the first place???#are you Sure he won't be at least a little wary? the fact that some people think he's Grateful to Neuvillette or even idolises him is crazy#because the man literally subjected him to prison. and if you want to portray his prison life as easy breezy and trauma free#you undermine his entire shitty little 'prison reform' narrative#and if you think he'd be completely 100% accepting of the justice system. Then why the fuck would he kill his parents himself#don't you see that the whole 'I'll accept whatever sentence in order to kill my parents' thing in itself is an act of defying the system#and I Hate#this idea. about being some of the most powerful men in the nation. and yet they can't fucking TRY to set up a better system or smth#i can't believe I read a fic where leaving starving street kids croissants is the most they (the characters and the writer) want to do#like. what the fuck. the whole point of that scene is just to make neuvillette feel bad and be like aw......... poor people exist.... OK???#this is literally how MHY would portray him though.... tbf..... This is what ppl would argue as 'in character'#I just think the character they're in is bad.#I will say I'm giving the fic a lot of grief. there's more to the scene than that. and. ultimately.....#fanfic is (saying this through gritted teeth) ........ recreational....................and free........... in the end.................#i dont think this is reflective of the writer. I do think it is reflective of the way the canon material (genshin impact)#presents in the audience who consumes it. most fans only want these guys to fuck anyway. not think about systemic injustices#canon doesn't make it about the systemic injustices either so why should we. the aesthetic of slums and prisons are just there for fun guys#IM JUST CRAZY OK. I SHOULDNT EVEN BE HERE THIS IS NOT FOR ME . I DONT CARE THAT MUCH FOR PEOPLE FUCKING AND I CARE TOO MUCH

The thing thats consistently bothered me the most in the fallout show is the racism. I would hesitate to recommend it because of that alone. And there was obvious love that the set and prop designers, actors, costume department, and even maybe the writers put into the show! There are themes and characters in fallout that i'm certain would resonate with fans of color!
It KILLS me that so many of the fallout entries are damn well unplayable/watchable in this regard because the writers simply Don't Care how the people in their work are presented. That this like hugely popular world with a lot of worldbuilding and thought behind it does such wrong to so many people, fans and otherwise, that you cannot find any game in the series that does it right or well. It alienates a lot of people who might've been fans just because the majority white creators and fanbase don't give a shit, and I'm sick of it.
it's not enough to say "in the fallout in my head that racism doesn't happen," you actually have to put some things into PRACTICE. Allow space in your head, your games/show, your fan spaces for people of color! notice and say something when you see racism coming from media, yourself, and others!
#like its not AS bad as other fallout media but isnt that the fucking kicker. that its not AS bad#and in fact the games im thinking of that are most egregious in their racism ARE interplay/obsidians games.#bethesda is NOT free from criticism or racism. just look at the elder scrolls.#all of the fallout games have been terrible to different extents to their black characters#the games are TERRIBLY sinophobic. the great war being pinned on china allows for SO much racism in the writing and in fan spaces#but fallout 2 and new vegas specifically have awful and degrading representations of indigenous people. to the point where i wont play 2.#and now this show treating maximus nearly one to one with how star wars writers AND fans treated finn? its not okay#personal /#fallout show#fallout blogging#racism#antiblackness#colonialism#fallout#if not for this i would have thought that the show was GOOD. surprisingly compelling. anti capitalist messaging. but its just. all the time#and this is coming from a white person! i can only listen and imagine how painful it is to play these games or watch the show#and be the butt of the joke every time!!! or the villain or the fool or the one who dies or the nameless entry.#maximus gets to have Some time in the light as a protagonist but for the beginning half of it he's treated SO awfully by the writers#and the latter half does not do enough to make up for it#EDIT: I JUST FINISHED THE SHOW AND THEY FUCKING MADE IT WORSE....#taking max out and having lucy leave him. for what exactly. why did they have to undermine him and make him look stupid at every opportunit#AND. two of the more major black women being evil capitalists juxtaposed by some white guy who opposes? .........................#like im glad moldaver was there. i guess. but even she is posed as the villain for the good majority of it and kills innocent people#for no reason and. UGH

Im so sorry but the L word is absolutely fucking hilarious - none of these women have an ounce of morality between them and yet they're all somehow still loveable characters. Despite the atrocities. And the bad 2000s haircuts. And the deeply questionable fashion choices.
