Svi bismo voleli mašinu koja će isterati do detalja sve ove upravo najavljene E3 igre, a čini se da potraga može biti vrlo laka, makar za one koji imaju dovoljno novca da kupe novu laptop gejmersku mašinu. Da se i na laptop mašini može igrati "k'o čovek" apsolvirali smo nekoliko puta do sada (u OVOM i OVOM tekstu), pa se nadamo da se ovo neće opet pretvoriti u rat desktop protiv laptop gejmera. Izgleda da su s ovim računarom svi na dobitku - moguće ga je nadograđivati. I did a sketch to give a sort of scale to the Greater Carapaced Electrophorus that the group from Snowed In are gonna fight. I cannot draw animals. Or backgrounds. Its like a lobster, tentacle eel thing.

Quick Guide: The Snowed In Event

I figured this would help make things easier. It’s a quick comprehensive guide to how some of these trolls know eachother. 

Ambrus and Tagore are old friends. Both are followers of the Sign’ess’s teachings. Tagore is aware that ambrus helps mutants and helps in greeding mutant lusii for them. She knows about his work during the rebellions he was a part of etc. Ambrus is the older of the two. 

Ambrus knows Kamkav and Virtus because she was responsible for their survival during grubhood, especially Kamkav’s. Neither are aware of this, and Kamkav only knows a little bit about Ambrus. Virtus is more familiar with her. 

Virtus is leeching money out of Igrati’s bank account, Virtus does not know Igrati is the rich fucker he’s stealing from, Igrati does not know money is being siphoned from him, he has not noticed. 

Kelona sadly knows nobody here. Neither does Serzad. Neither Does Igrati. 

Serzad and Kamkav are both mutant bloods, they have the same blood color. 

Kelona has anxiety, she is an Orphaner in training, but she is not in her armor right now. 

I think this is all there is for now.

Kitchen Conversation

“Listen, Ignoramus. You don’t lick your fucking fingers when you prepare food for others. Its disgusting!”

Kamkav was already shoving Igrati away from the meat, and the clams. He’d already took to licking clam juice off of his grubby little fingers once and she was not about to let him not only get his disgusting saliva all over everything, but she feared what he’d do the OTHER THINGS if he was allowed to just lick his fingers and touch stuff! She continued to shove him towards his sink, Igrat did not put up much fight. 

“Wash you gog damn hands! Always wash your gog damn hands when handling food!” 

Tagore watched with mild interest. For someone so small she sure could throw her weight around. The seadweller in question, Igrati, stood only a few feet smaller than Tagore, but she shoved him around like it was no big deal. it probably helped that he was more length than girth. Igrati did proceed to wash his ‘gog damn hands’ as she took to preparing the food. Tagore made himself useful by cutting things. 

He made sure to take breaks to wash his hands, he doubted the small hemo anon could make him budge, and the idea of making her try made him audibly chuckle, but he was also a fan of kitchen etiquette. He also wanted to take a few moments to ponder things. 

Like the sign on her shirt. He had it on the collar of his shirt, not the one he was wearing now, but his nicer one. Ambrus wore that on a necklace hidden under her clothes. He knew that sigh. He’d fought under it long ago. He knew how important it was. He knew Ambrus was watching over a troll from afar who she was sure was his descendent. he never new the man personally,  he’d been long dead when Tagore was born, he had Ambrus’s word to go on. 

It was interesting to see her just jump into taking over the kitchen. So much so that she’d made their host make drunks and take them out to everyone just to get him out. 

“Bossing a seadweller around in his own hive is pretty bold, ,miss.” 

He watched her freeze and consider her words. Or maybe she was just stunned by his sudden observation. He had been rather silent since they’d started cooking. Eventually she just crossed her arms, shivered (making him realize it was probably rather cold for her) and rolled her eyes. 

“Look, I get that. but I doubt you would have let him get away with that if I wasn’t here either. Its obvious we know our way around a kitchen, but not that guy. I doubt he cooks much at all. If he has a problem with it its well within his power to make me shut up. So do you for that matter!”

She rubbed her arms with her hands. 

“Also don’t highbloods run cold? Shouldn’t he have a heater on or something I'm FREEZING.” 

Tagore laughed, then clapped her on the back a bit too hard. She gasped as he accidentally knocked the wind out of her. She hunched over, and glared up at him. He gave her an apologetic look. 

“Jegus fuck, if that bruises I’m rioting. “

“I feel bad for our hosts’ hive then.” Tagore rubbed his hands together, and once they were hot to his touch he placed one on top of her head. Her eyes went wide for a moment, then her surprise became confusion. 

“Warmer?” he asked, amused.

“Yeah, the fuck?”

“It’s an old trick i learned a long time ago. We can talk to our host about turning his heat up once he’s back, for now lets finish getting everything on the eat box before he comes back.”

By the time Igrati came back the food was on Kamkav was washing her hands.

Finale ==> Attempt a 8x Strife Combo!

Dressed for warmth, and armed to the teeth with their respective strife kinds, they looked ready to step out into the snow and do combat. The sun had set only about an hour ago, and with the onset of night and the breaking of the storm clouds came the approach of the thing they’d heard when the power cut. Power was still not back, but they’d managed to keep warm, and Kamkav and Tagore had worked on cooking over the heart to keep everyone fed. 

Ambrus scouted ahead while the sun was able to confirm Kelona’s guess about the lusus in question. It was, in fact, a Greater Carapaced Electrophorus, and a  large one too. 

There was a slight static cling in the hair around it, and it moved sluggishly, drawn to shore by the prospect of meat and electricity to devour, however the cold kept it in the water for now. It was long, a mix of carapace and tentacles with the head of an eel, and as it ambled closer to shore, the low droning noise it called a cry could probably be heard by every troll within a mile. The very sight of it shook Serzad and Kelona to the bone, the others tried not to let it daunt them too much. 

With a nod to each other, Igrati and Kelona took to the water via a grotto in Igrati’s hive that led out to sea. The water was cold, but it was nothing a seadweller couldn’t handle. In fact it was warmer than it probably had been a few nights prior, giving the two finned friends a bit more vigor than normal. Kelona swam fast, her armor was special made, light weight and sturdy. Perfect for an Orphaner. Igrait and her circled around the GCE, as they had started calling it, Igrati taking its right while Kelona swam farther out to take its left. 

The others stood on the beach, strifes in hand. They spread out among the metal rods they’d set up along the beach. The air was thick with static, and tension and the rise and fall of their breathing almost matched the inhalation of the beast they could see out at sea. Tagore watched the sea, waiting for the gleam of Kelona’s rifle fire. 

Kelona cocked her rifle and watched as Igrati prepped his shield. She inhaled, and steadied her shaking hands. She was not alone here, she could do this. She. Could. Do. This. Her finger rested on the trigger, she felt the cold water ebb in and out of her gills, and her eyes gave Igrati the side eye, watching him intently for his signal. The moment his shield left his hands, she shot off a beam, and the glint of pure plasma in the water caught Tagore’s eye. 

The Creature let out a cry that sounded like something between a shriek and a growl, and the tip of one of its lower tentacles fell into the sea, purple blood tailing behind it, and dying the water purple. Igrati’s shield plunged back into the water, as a beam of energy breeched, and put a good sided chip in the tail.

In response, the creature brought its tail down hard onto the surface of the water. it made a small wave and Kelona let herself drift out on it, she aimed, and she made a pot shot at one of its legs to try and force it to move towards shore. Igrait followed suit, his shield clipping the carapace of the lower leg. 

The GCE took a large step towards shore, and the moment one of its legs touched sand, Tagore and Virtus began their charge. Optic lbasts from Virtus traveled up its long torso, stunning it briefly while Tagore grabbed it by the leg and pulled with all of his might. 

Its leg came  out form under it, and it toppled down, making a large splash as it struggled to make itself move and rid its leg of the large purpleblood that held it form. The other three were on it in a moment. 

Ambrus ran up one of its legs, and threw herself onto its back. Fists balled and strife ready, she began to try and puncture the carapace that protected the creature. She felt the creature shift, regaining  its ability to move and she grabbed it by a part of its shell, and held on as it rose, throwing Tagore off of its legs. Tagore slide though sand and snow, and stopped short in front of Serzad, who vaulted over him and threw one of her boomerangs at an incoming tentacle. It came just short of severing it, and her boomerang lost momentum and fell into the water. 

Serzasd swore and dove to avoid purple blood covering her as it waved its nearly severed tentacle around. Angry and in pain from nearly losing a limb, it tried to swat Serzad away with said almost severed limb, only for Kamkav to flash step in front fo her, and parry with her rapier. 

Kamkav kept the dangling half tentacle distracted, she danced around it, parrying and attacking with her weapon while Serzad retrieved her discarded weapon as it washed up on shore. Tagore was back on his feet, and began barreling towards it as Ambrus was grabbed off of its back by a claw. 

She hissed, and struggled as it began to squeeze her tightly. Neither of her hands were free, but she tried to jam her fists into it anyhow. Ambrus felt something cut into her skin, and out of pure instinct, she bit down hard on the creature. Her teeth broke carapace, and dropped her.

She gagged, that was some of the worst blood she’d had ever. She hit the water, and swam up in time to see Igrati biting into one of its other tentacles. it flailed, and he held tightly to it. 

He couldn’t help but hope that they got to eat some of this, he could only imagine the calamari it’d make. Eager to get a bit more of its taste, he sank his faws in and bit down harder. It whipped him around, trying to get him off, but he was a stubborn otter, and refused to let go. 

Which is just what Tagore wanted. while it was distracted by Kamkav and Igrati, he dug the pen tip of his lance into one of the joints on its legs. It buckled and he backed away in time to catch and impale the tentacle that had been already been in a stalemate with Kamav. The severed part of the tentacle unceremoniously onto the beach. Virtus used his psionics to pick it up, and he tossed it towards the creatures busted leg. 

Kelona, for the time being, forwent her rifle to grab a standard issue combat knife, and she went for one of the back legs. She jammed it into one of the joints, and it slipped from her fingers as she was grabbed out of the water by its other claw. She struggled, and kicked, but its grip was tight. Her armor dented, just a bit, and she let out a noise similar to a sob and a busted squeak toy exhaling. 

It was clear this thing was tired of the smaller creatures attacking it. Kelona’s eyes widened as it brought her to its face, putting her at eye level. She whimpered and struggled harder. As it opened its mouth, another optic blast from Virtus stunned it, and it turned its gaze to him. Recovering faster than previously, it tossed Kelona far out into the water and smacked Virtus hard down into the sand and snow. 

Kelona felt her breath get knocked out of her as she hit the water. She was stunned, tears leaking form her eyes as she lay in the water. It had hurt, she was sure she was going to bruise. 

Igrati continued Kelona’s assault on its leg. He lobbed his shield at the joint where the knife still sat, and drive it in deeper. The creature buckled aagain and turned around quickly to scan the waters for its newest assailant. When it saw Igrati, The antennae like appendages on its head stood up on end and electricity sparked between them. 

Before Igrati could blink, his body felt hot, and he screamed out a loud hiss as electricity spread tough his body. He closed his eyes and felt his body convulse until the shocking feeling ebbed away. His whole body hurt. 

Tagore Used its turned back as a distraction. Taking his strife, he charged in again, with a boost from Virtus’s psionics, he was able to get enlugh air to fly just above its lower back. During the apex of his jump, he aimed his lance donw and drove it hard though its carapace. Using his weight, he drug its tip down, and swung under it, cutting a large moon shape into its side. He hit the water as he pulled the lance out.

He wasn’t done here. His lance craved ink, and like the writer he was, he strived to give the pin what it wanted. His lance was thrown into the leg he’d targeted before, and severed it from the body. Pleased with his progress, he grabbed a tentacle as it came to try and grab him. he held it still, his feet finding purchase in the sand of the shallow water as the two of them struggled to show who was the stronger of the two. 

Ambrus took this as her opening for another assault. She traded blows with it, fists meeting claw until she hit it just hard enough to smack its claw hard enough to hit itself hard in the chest. Tagore pulled it down farther, forcing it to crouch as Ambrus felt Virtus throw her up in the air via psionics. She used her falling acceleration to drop kick the thing in the face, busting one of its eyes with a gross sounding pop. She let herself hit the water, and grabbed Igrati before she drug him ashore. 

Lightning trialed behind close her, but was pulled towards the metal rods they had planted ashore before it could reach either of them. Igrati groaned and Ambrus shushed him before standing to block a tentacle with her fist. Her knuckles dug deep into it, cutting the rubbery flesh and spilling purple over her and Igrati, but she was far from phased. 

The thing was down an eye, a tentacle, and a leg, and loosing blood fast. Kamkav saw this as an advantage to press. She engaged one of its remaining tentacle, her rapier dragging along it as she ducked and waved away from the creatures blows. Her rapier cut it deep, each one drawing pruple and staining the beach with it. She was concentrated, her focus on the tentacle in front of her. 

She did not see the creature pick Tagore up and hurl him at her until she was firmly squished under the purple. He was quick to get up, and only gave her a quick apology as he charged back in. Kamkav groaned, she was sure SOMETHING broke. She got up, not keep to stay out of the fight, and she ignored the ache in her ribcage. The tentacle she’d engaged only moments ago came to meet her, and she stabbed it though, and pulled her blade though its flesh, splitting the tentacle in half long ways. 

Then it proceeded to slap her in the arm with it, smearing purple all over her and almost kicking her to the sand. Serzad’s boomerang managed to cut though the tentacle, and kam sighed before both of them were grabbed in its claw. Both girls complained and thrashed,  but of the two, Kamkav was the one with her weapon hand not trapped by claw. 

She rammed it into the joint between the claw proper and it arm, and the claw dropped them. Kamkav hit the sand with an OOF but Serzad was on her feet.

She was a parkour master, dammit, and she wasn’t taking that laying down. 

Tagore saw her running right for him, and he crouched down, Serzad used his back as a spring board, then its incoming claw as another jump off point. She landed near its face, her boomerang blades dug into its face, and she let the weight of her body drag them own over two of its eyes. 

It shook its head, and threw her off, and Virtus caught her. Igrati struggled to his feet.

His body hurt so much. It was hard to pick his shield up, but he wasn’t out of the fight yet. He brought the shield up in time to block a tentacle, and impale it a bit on the spikes that adorned the front. Another bolt of lighting tried to find him, but the rod Ambrus drug him to absorbed it this time. 

With all of the energy he could muster, he gave his shield another toss, and watched as the sharp edge of it jammed itself into one of the legs. Then right on though it. He collapsed again. Everything hurt too much. 

Kelona caught her breath as she finished her ascent onto the rocky structure she saw just off shore. She would have a great shot from there, and she could use her guns best setting. Her rifle rested on her shoulder, all she needed was a clean shot, just one. 

Virtus saw a glint of violet out of the corner of his eye, He looked over at the outcropping, and saw the tip of a familiar rifle. Kelona was all right, and she was gearing up for a shot. His eyes sparked with psionic energy. The creature saw the flash of pink and blue, and, distracted by the idea of being stunned again, turned its electric bolt towards him. he shot a beam from his eyes. 

The bolt and his optic blast met in midair, and sparks flew from it. Kelona bit her lip, and took a deep breath as she aimed for its upper torso, both eyes open. Her finger put pressure on the trigger.

The beam that sprung from her rifle filled the night with a bright blue and white light. It was gone almost as soon as it had come, leaving nothing but a hole in its chest some melted glassy and in its wake. It collapsed, dead aand bleeding on the beach. Kelona sighed, relieved. She captchalogued her rifle and made a running dive off of the top of the rock face. 

When she came ashore she saw Ambrus helping a dazed Igrati sit up while Tagore looked over Kamkav. Kamkav was hesitant to let Tagore touch her, at first, but relented when she realized she was too sore to fight off a purple blood. She sat on the beach for a moment and looked out over the body of the thing. It really was dead. She looked to her palmhusk. 

Tagore helped Kam to her feet, Serzad helped Ambrus grab Igrati. Virtus looked at the thign and sighed, then he looked to Kelona.

“Hey,” he said, “We’re heading in.”

Kelona looked at him.

“I...I’ll be there soon. I think maybe I should call this in.” 

“Oh right, Orphaner. Whelp, good luck with that. I think we’re gonna nap then eat. That was...”

“I know. I’ll join you soon. Please go.” 

Virtus gave her a soft pat on the back and turned to follow the others inside. Kelona sat there a while, just processing. Then, after she was sure she’d been out there for a good half hour, she finally called the lusus in for transport.

Epilogue: Forging Friendships

By the time Kelona was able to head back inside, most everyone had either been given a check over, or was  in the process of being looked over. Virtus had stayed too far to be hit, so he was fine, this led Ambrus to make him play nurse. He did not look happy with it, but he wasn’t wholly upset. There were a few wounds to lock after all.

There had been quite a bit for her to catch up on too. Bruises on Kamkav and Serzad revealed that both girls' were mutants, and that Kamkav damn ear broke Tagore’s arm off and clawed his throat out to defend both herself and Serzad before Ambrus talked her down. Tagore, it turend out, really didn’t care, understood her fear and aggression, and now he was helping Ambrus and Virtus tend to Kamkav, who’d broken a rib. Serzad had sprained an ankle, and both girls had a few other minor injuries as well.

Kelona had been checked out already,  but she did not protest when Ambrus offered to give her a second go over. She gave Kamkav and Serzad each a shy smile. The two met her eye and just smiled back. She raised her hands and made a zipping motion over her mouth. Both girls smiled wider. 

They were her friends, and blood didn’t matter to Kel anyway. Nobody needed to know. After a moment, Kelona noticed someone was missing. She looked to Ambrus.

“Where’s Igrati.” 

“In his recuperacoon, recovering from being nearly shocked to death. He will be fine, but he may have some scars.”

"Oh...”

Ambrus pushed her hair behind her fin, Kelona looked down at her hands 

“Everything is going to be okay. You all did so well.” 

The room fell into silence and once everyone was patched up, it was agreed that sleep was the priority. The night was still young, but none of them cared, and all of them slept till well after night fall the next day. By then the majority of the snow had cleared, and Igrati insisted on ordering take out as a victory meal once he was conscious and cleaned up. he was not really in great shape still, but sopop did wonders for numbing pain. 

Pizza was agreed on, and since Igrati was the one ordering, they got some pretty nice pizzas. They ate, and talked, and when all was said and done, everyone felt as if friendships been forged. They eventaully all parted, each one of them missing their own hives. Ambrus, of course, decided to visit Igrati daily until he was fully recovered, and Tagore helped those with bigger injuries home. 

Kelona was glad to see her ancestor again. But more than anything she wanted to take the next few days to recover. Surefire couldn’t help but notice how different her young descendent seemed as she came home. She was still quite timid, and shy, but she seemed happier. 

Kamkav Texted Dravas once she was home, and even though he made her a bit grumpy, she was glad to at least let him know she was fine. She herself took some paid days off to rest. Her ribs hurt and she did not want to be seen around town with bright red bruises. Tagore helped her hide on the way, but she was on her own. 

Serzad came back to hive and texted Ketshi only to hear he was having some issues. She invited him over, she wanted to feelings jam. They made plans, she let him know she had one hell of a story, and she slept off the pain and sent her other quads messages to assure them she was fine. 

Virtus decided to spend the night with his Mate, Jianng was, no doubt, missing him and he missed her. He was sure she was more than likely at his hive though, so he just texted and asked her to prepare food ahead of time, if she was free. A movie night date was over due. 

Tagore and Ambrus both messaged friends, gave them updates, and Spent the day at Tagore’s hive before Ambrus returned hive herself. Tagore felt a strong sense of pride in the younger trolls. They had all rose to a challenge,a nd came out victorious. Ambrus felt the same, though her worry for them had gone though the roof during the whole situation. 

Igrati took weeks to recover, and he did lament his new found scarring, but once he’d adjust, he was back to his old self. He spent most of his time in hive though, asleep in his recuperacoon. Ambrus dragged him to appointments too, though he did not mind the help. 

Each of them all settled back hive, all of them glad to be alive, and to have made friends out of such a strange and random situation.
