Northeast of Garreg Mach lies Ailell, Valley of Torment. Most know to steer clear, and for good reason: these barren lands full of flame and ire are inhospitable at best, and downright deadly at worst. And yet, there are those who have made for themselves a home nearby, and make of the valley and what scant resources it provides a modest living. These are the monks said to have long used Ailell as a training ground.

Locations:

Seitra: The quiet, religious village of Seitra, nestled just beyond the valley at the mouth of the river feeding into the bay. Its people live a predominantly ascetic lifestyle: they take not more than they need. What necessities they cannot gather for themselves, they acquire through trade. Up until somewhat recently, the village had been united… but now they are split into two factions: the Devout, and the Heretics.

The SS Ambrus: Ailell may or may not have been filled with water at some point - at the very least, that is one of the many rumours surrounding the shipwreck sitting abandoned on the outskirts of the Valley of Torment. While much of the ship has fallen into disrepair, there are a few pieces left remarkably well preserved, seemingly made of a foreign material and inscribed with strange symbols. The locals give it a wide berth -  some say it even glows at night…

People of Interest:

Kassian Wright, aka Kass: Seitra’s fearless leader. He showed up out of the blue one day spouting what must have sounded like wisdom and, seeing it as a sign from their beloved Seiros, the villagers bestowed upon him the mantle of leadership. Some have come to regret such a course of action given the man’s unconventional manner but they keep this judgment quieter than not. He has been missing of late, but it’s fine. Perhaps he is simply on an extended trip into the valley, off to meditate and offer up his prayers for divine guidance.

R’wena Llmlasca: Head of the so-called Heretics faction. Gentle but steadfast to first appearances, she is more than capable of snapping a man in two. She blames the Devout for Kass’s disappearance, but isn’t likely to share much more than that… at the least, not without a drink or ten in her system. She is fiercely protective of those she has taken under her wing, and is wary of the new extremes the Devout are reaching in their worship of Saint Seiros. Rumour has it she is rather infatuated with Kass, but no amount of drink will see her admitting this as truth.

Argeldt the Holy Fist: Head of the self-titled Devout faction. At a distance, he might seem a frail old thing, hardly worthy of the name bestowed upon him in his youth. To underestimate him however is to do so at one’s own peril. The Devout he commands are growing restless, and seek to rise to ever greater heights in their quest to prove themselves worthy of Seiros’s blessing. The conflict between the two groups has yet to fully come to a head, but that is most likely because Argeldt is R’wena’s father. How long remains before the precarious balance tips?

Things to Do:

Get to know the locals! Most of what they need they can get from the bay or the plains near Seitra, but what they cannot they venture into town to trade for… and in order to acquire aught of value to exchange, the monks delve into Ailell to scavenge. Their quarry? Precious metals, rare, hardy plants, or even piping hot lava... Anything goes. Might be they’d appreciate a fresh set of eyes to scout new prizes worth exchanging.

While some monks may hunt for treasure, others prefer to track live prey. Whether it’s capturing rare lizards that scurry between patches of lava, or the flesh and bones of the monsters that call Ailell home, there’s no shortage of suitable goods. If you’re lucky, you might even run into a lava worm. There is no higher honour than besting one of these, although rest assured the locals will offer stiff competition.

Join the Heretics for a lovely afternoon of song and prayer to the Saint. Of course, there is much to be done, so as soon as they are finished, it’s back to work for most. Some, however, stay behind to chat with the potential new blood Garreg Mach has dropped at their gate. While the monks of Seitra are content with their minimalist lifestyle, that doesn’t mean they can’t show you how they go about making small gifts for friends and family. It is their way of appreciating nature’s wonders and sharing Seiros’s bounty with all, and they are glad to impart such teachings with others. The most important part of the process? Keeping whoever you’re making your gift for in mind as you work.

Or, if one prefers, they can join the Devout and learn how worship is really done! Wander over yonder to the back of the village, where their ceremonies take place. Something’s… off about this specific statue of Seiros, properly towering though it may be. Perhaps it’s the tears of red painted beneath the eyes. Or maybe it’s the brambles threatening to choke out the light all about, thick enough to shield from the coastal air. Might be the gravestones scattered at the statue’s base. Anyway. Bad vibes. Oh, and let’s not forget the Crest Beast sitting chained at the altar.

The village children have arrived, and they demand of these strange intruders a tribute for trespassing on their land. This tribute, of course, is to be paid for by way of games: whether it be Extreme Freeze Tag (in which everyone frozen goes after the last man standing - does it pay to win, in this case?), Extreme Hide and Seek (do be sure not to lose one of the kids in a puddle of lava somewhere), or some other manner of entertainment. Oh, and they won’t leave you be until they are satisfied their tithe has been paid in full.

5 Favourite Ships

1) Probably has to be Cassandra Pentaghast/Varric Tethras for a multitude of reasons.  Not least because I started writing fanfic because of this ship. 2) Obi-Wan/Happiness XD  Because I enjoy Obi-Wan being happy.  I enjoy most Obi-Wan relationships equally though I have a soft spot for Obi-Wan/Rex (and Bail/Breha/Obi-Wan is amazing and I wish there was more of it)

3) Eowyn/Faramir - this was a ship I didn’t sail until about the fifth or sixth time I read LOTR. What I came to love about the relationship is that shows how much they both grow and heal and do so together.  I especially found it comforting during the worst of the fighting I did with my parents about my relationship. 4) Euan Ambrus/Rex Vis Tjin because I love them - I think they are a pairing that could have been just like sickeningly sweet or over the top but instead its two beautiful competent men who love each other and are willing to die for (and live for) each other.

5) Don Lockwood/Cosmo Brown/Kathy Selden - OT3 OT3 OT3  like I thought that they were amazing together and I thought that they should have been an OT3 before I’d even heard the term OT3

EXPERIENCE  /  HOW  LONG  (  MONTHS  /  YEARS? ) : I have been writing for about 11 years now! 

BEST  EXPERIENCE :   OH GOD SO ig it kinda sucks cause this is actually fairly recent BUT the best RP experience I ever had was my plot with @batoushoujo, @cxnfectioniism and @desparialuna . It’s the first group plot I have ever been involved in. Ever. And it’s just,,, been a lot of fun. Even if one of us is off for like 8 months, when we get back on we can pick off right where we left off and it’s really nice. Another good one is meeting @ohfiendangelical and @piinetrees​ cause they’re really great people and have a very interesting shared world / over arching plot with their muses. I’m really glad to have met everyone I mentioned here.

RP  PET  PEEVES  /  DEALBREAKERS :  SEVERAL THINGS HONESTLY. 

People who don’t read my rules is a big pet peeve of mine. And I can tell when someone either hasn’t read them or just does not give a fuck about them. In addition, when someone doesn’t read my bios. I know a lot of my muse bios aren’t complete, which is why I have the blurbs there, but when I DO have the full one up I can tell when people don’t read them. Again, either they don’t read them or they like to casually glance over a few very important details, leading me to the next one:

I get a lot of people who want romance with Damian, when he’s (gray)aromantic. There is a reason he is plotting only when it comes to ships and the reason is 99 times out of 100, he isn’t gonna like your muse back. He’s going to be a toxic, shitty, emotionally neglectful and kind of abusive boyfriend. Hell, he’s not even that great of a friend. Similarly, people also want to ship with Enoch. He’s not aromantic, but he’s the same in the toxicity and he’s not even attempting to improve himself like Damian is. I’ve got, like, 60 other muses to interact and ship with, so it confuses me when people want the worst ones that I’d like to be more selective with. ‘i can fix him’ does not work with my muses - it just enables them.

When i reject a plot idea and people take it as a challenge. ‘No’ does not mean ‘convince me’. ‘No’ means, ‘I’m not interested’, ‘the muses we’re using aren’t compatible for this’, or ‘this is against my rules’. No is a complete sentence and I shouldn’t have to explain over and over again why I said it.

Lack of consequences. Now, this is just my prefered way to run my blog, nothing wrong with not wanting realism in your writing... but I do want it in mine. If your muse provokes one of mine, gaslights them, tries to hit them, etc. depending on the muse... I’m sorry, but yours is probably going to get their ass beat if it’s someone like Damian or Serena. Now, if it’s someone like, say, Lucas or Suki, they’ll probably be the one who ends up beaten up but I digress. Consequences is what drives a plot. It’s what makes interactions interesting. 

Trying to force interactions with incompatible muses. I’ve got 60, man, if one doesn’t work out, there is 59 more to pick from. Just let the interaction die and we can use a different combo.

MUSE  PREFERENCES  FLUFF,    ANGST  OR  SMUT :   I find fluff kind of boring at times, and smut is not something I’m 100% comfortable with writing. I do like my angst, but too much can be draining. All in all, plot driven threads are my favorite. 

PLOTS  OR  MEMES :   A mix of both? I like to have an idea of where to go, but flexibility in how to get there. plus, memes are really fun to answer when I’m not in the mood for my drafts. 

LONG  OR  SHORT  REPLIES : It depends! Both? Neither?

BEST TIME TO WRITE :    When I should be sleeping ghfvghjf either RIGHT after waking up or when I’m tired as fuck at like 2 in the morning. One time I pulled an all nighter and i got like 20 drafts done.

Péterfy Bori & Love Band: új lemez és jubileumi koncert

Új stúdióalbummal (Bori X) és nagykoncerttel (november 17., Akvárium Klub) ünnepli tizedik születésnapját a Péterfy Bori & Love Band. Péterfy Bori énekesnő és Tövisházi Ambrus zenekarvezető a friss anyagról és a popcsapat eddigi útjáról is beszélt az MTI-nek.

“Amikor előző lemezünk, a tavaly kiadott Szédülés készült, rengeteg ötletünk maradt kidolgozatlanul. Az akkori munkához nagy lökést adott a zenekarhoz 2014 végén csatlakozott két új tag, Nagy István és Gáspár Gergely, termékeny időszakot éltünk meg” – idézte fel a hétfőn megjelent új album előzményeit Péterfy Bori.

Mint kifejtette, amíg a Szédülésen meglehetősen súlyos témákat feszegettek és ezt a zene is tükrözte, a digitális platformokon elérhető Bori X jóval slágeresebb lett.

A billentyűs, zeneszerző Tövisházi Ambrus azt mondta, az új anyag megmutatja, milyen sajátosan értelmezik a diszkózenét. “Soha nem volt könnyű vidám számokat írnunk, a Borihoz illő vampos, dühös, kemény szövegek mellé nem is illett a jókedv, most viszont született néhány könnyedebb dal” – mondta. Péterfy Bori hozzátette: mivel színésznő is, egy kis vér és dráma azért mindig “becsúszik” a zenekar dalaiba.

A Bori X tíz számának zenéjét Tövisházi Ambrus szerezte, a szövegekhez a kerek születésnap alkalmából mozgósították az eddigi lemezek szövegíróit. Egyaránt két dalt jegyez Péterfy Bori, az énekesnővel és Tövisházival korábban az Amorf Ördögökben együtt szerepelt Tariska Szabolcs, Hujber Szabolcs és Hajós-Dévényi Kristóf, de írt szöveget a lemezre Tövisházi Ambrus és Sarkadi Balázs is, utóbbi a poppunkot játszó Bankrupt frontembere. Vele készült a Bori X-ről korábban már közzétett dal, a zenéjében távol-keleti érzetű Ne keresd az igazit, az én voltam, ami a Bankrupt Törlöm a számod című dalszövegének új verziója: a szakítós történet ezúttal nem a férfi, hanem a nő szemszögéből hallható.

“A Love Bandben találtam meg azt a színpadi szerepet és formát, amit sok szempontból jobban élvezek a színészetnél és az évek során egyre pontosabban kialakult, miről szóljanak a számaim. Egyre fontosabb lett számomra a popénekesi énem a színészénél, zabolátlan természetemhez közelebb áll és több boldogságot ad a zenei színpad. Itt őszintébb a kapcsolat a közönséggel, a színház többet kivesz belőlem és kevesebbet ad vissza” – fejtette ki Péterfy Bori.

A Péterfy Bori & Love Band idén májusban saját fejlesztésű, mobiltelefonokra letölthető játék segítségével mutatta be egy dalát, a Föld hívja Földet címűt, amely az első fecske volt a Bori X-ről. Azóta az ügyességi játékban valamennyi dalhoz lett egy új interaktív videóklip, egy pálya, amelyet teljesíteni kell Borival. Az énekesnő rajzolt figuráját elképzelt terekben kell végigvezetni, megóvni az ellenségektől, közben kincseket és pontokat gyűjteni. A dalszövegekhez kapcsolódó pályákat Stark Attila, a zenekar állandó grafikusa tervezte, az applikáció minap elismerő oklevelet vehetett át a Médiadesign díjátadón.

“A Föld hívja Földet kikacsintás közös kedvencünkre, David Bowie-ra, Space Oddity című kultikus dalában az irányítóközpont hívja Tom őrnagyot és viszont. Bowie utolsó lemeze, a Blackstar zenéje komoly hatással volt a Bori X dalaira” – mondta Tövisházi Ambrus az MTI-nek.

A zenekar a lemezbemutató/születésnapi turné keretében november 10-én a debreceni Roncsbárban lép fel, majd 17-én a fővárosi Akvárium Klubban. A csapat Veszprém, Miskolc, Tatabánya, Székesfehérvár, Esztergom, Dunaújváros, Kecskemét és Győr után szilveszterkor visszatér Budapestre és az A38 hajón búcsúztatja az évet.

“Az új lemezről öt-hat számot eljátszunk az Akváriumban, ahol ott lesz velünk két egykori tag, Laskai Viktor és Mészáros Ádám, akikkel az első hét évet végigcsináltuk. Egy számra feljön a színpadra Lovasi András is, aki több szöveget írt nekünk és a lemezeinket is kiadta és játszanak velünk a Big Banggg taiko dobosok is” – fűzte hozzá Péterfy Bori.

A Péterfy Bori & Love Band 2007-ben alakult, alapvetően a megszűnt Amorf Ördögök tagjaiból. Az együttesben Péterfy Bori és Tövisházi Ambrus mellett Drapos Gergely basszusgitáros, Pápai István ütőhangszeres, Nagy István gitáros-énekes, valamint Gáspár Gergely dobos szerepel. A zenekar debütáló, 1-es albuma 2007-ben jelent meg, ezt követte két évvel később a 2-es számmal futó lemez, 2012-ben a Fehér éjszakák, végül tavaly a Szédülés.
