the Tys Betteridge’s relationship with Mike Walters (as a species) is so funny to me. he’s freakishly obsessed with him. he thinks they’re besties. he tortures him for a living. he likes holding power over him. he tortures his husband and makes him watch. the “how sensual” line. he’s gone rogue for him. he’s said “i love you” to him. literally what the fuck is his deal.

One of Ty's mannerisms that compels me is his habit for calling people by their loved ones' nicknames for them. Calling Felix "Fe" like his dad did, calling the Mikes by their pet names given to them by their literal boyfriends!!! Is it an emotional tactic of asserting his power, a commentary on the discrepancy between the professional manner he claims he displays vs his hamartia of caring more than is good for him, his tendency to insert himself where he is under no circumstances wanted, or some combination of these? Something else entirely? It's such a character defining trait.

Either way, he should be thanking his lucky stars that he has never tried to call Marissa sunshine because she would snap his neck like a twig
