Shushu Possessed Amalia Doodles
Can Yugo save Amalia (and the kingdom)? Or will she be lost forever to the power of the shushu?
This idea came to me as I was designing a dress for an AU Yugo x Amalia drawing (I'm still working on). I have 7 dress concepts for this drawing. However, this dress design was...🤔...sexy and domineering...and kind of felt a little evil (after I colored it black).
Thus SHUSHU AMALIA was born!
Shushu Amalia is the embodiment of dangerous plants. The tree horns growing from her head are a symbol of how much control the shushu has. Plus, they have a poisonous sap. Touch them and you're a goner.
All plant life Shushu Amalia creates is poisonous. And yes, even her clothes are poisonous too. so you can't touch her (with your bare hands).
Her clothes are also based on poisonous plants and flowers. We have (from left to right) the…
Daffodil dress: Yellow petal collar and bra with a double split leaf dress (⭐ this is my favorite and the dress that started it all!)
Foxglove unitard: Fuchsia petal sleeve dark green romper with dark green thigh highs. (Her butts so big it makes the romper look like a unitard)
Deadly Nightshade pant set: Purple petal crop top with purple bellbottom floral pants. This style is kind of giving Megan the Stallion! Haha
Castor Bean skirt set: Castor Leaf top+ leaf skirt with red castor bean spikey earrings + thorn choker
I also drew an Uma Thurman inspired Poison Ivy outfit—which was a fun idea. I could see that as her battle outfit tbh. I also added a tiny redesign of her current outfit but with a poison ivy leaf belt.
I do have a dress based on Angel Trumpet (poisonous flower) but it's cute and I don't want to put evil Amalia in it. But then the irony of evil Amalia in a cute dress is also fun. It reminds me of evil people ironically wearing bright colors like white or pink. I might post the concept art when I finish my Yumalia drawing.
I tried to make her demon marks leaf-or-tree-like but went back and made it regular. I should have used a smaller brush for the leaf vein demon marking 🤦♀️
We also have a chibi shushu Amalia with an Aurora voodoo doll. she is about to impale her ☠️. The shushu is also not a fan of Aurora and her daddy.
I had fun with this. Thinking of outfits was challenging but fun! I love drawing revealing clothing—and it was fun dressing her up in sexy clothes to murder her enemies and manipulate minds.
I kinda wanted to put mushrooms on her feet as a sign that she is infected. But didn't...oh well. Instead, imagine she leaves behind deadly mushrooms as she walks.
She is my demonic plant queen. 💚😈💜

BTS of #RWRBMovie: Alex comes out to his mom
From CineMagna:
TZP: It was not focusing on that coming out moment, not calling it that, and just more of a having a conversation with those that are near and dear to you. So it’s less of an event, and again, we just start normalizing this in society, and in the home, so it’s unique in that way.
From Hindustan Times:
ML: It was one of my favourite scenes of the novel. I am 46, and I did not get that scene when I came out at 21. And I say that with love and gratitude to my parents who have been on a journey since that day alongside me. The world has changed since I came out to my parents and I always thought that in the novel there is something really that is just of perfectly matter of fact about the way he (Alex) does it, which doesn't make it in any way less special or even less scary for him. Honestly I think in some ways that scene might be more for the parents watching the movie than for queer kids. Of course I hope that queer kids respond to the scene but for me that scene without question Uma's greatest scene in the film and I think she brought to it her own experiences as a mother of three children, as an actor with so many different friends who probably came out to her over the years. She's remarkable in that scene and I can watch Taylor relax into it because of the way she decided to perform it. Again, I promise you I did a lot of work in this movie but when you have a cast like this in your movie so much of your work is done for you. That scene works because of Uma and Taylor. They knew how to play it, they did it beautifully.
From OutSFL:
ML: That scene was just so beautiful. By the time we shot it, she and Taylor had really bonded, and they had shot a lot of scenes together at that point. It was the loveliest, warmest environment on set. I mean, it was a very lovely, warm environment on set every day, but that day you can just see in that scene the genuine affection that these two actors have for one another. It was real.
From Collider:
ML: Just getting to be on set with Uma [Thurman] and Taylor, that day. Just playing the scene, I remember Uma stopping for a moment and just shaking her head. I was like, “What’s up?” And she just went, “She’s just so cool.” I was like, “Yeah.” And she was like, “Man, I wish she was real.” In that scene, I just really wanted to give the audience a sense of a mother who gets it. It helps that she’s President of the United States because you also want a president who gets it like that. I love Taylor’s performance in that scene because Alex, in that moment, is just like, “Oh, my God, mom, you need to stop it!” For as cool as Ellen is and as prepared for this conversation as she is, the comedy comes from the fact that Alex is, in no way, prepared for his mother to be that prepared.

please please please share details about your thoughts abt the week in november. i get emotional thinking abt their early years and your answer to that ask made my heart so warm i need to know more
(prev posts: one, two)
i don't have a ton more to say at the moment i'm sorry anon!! it's been awhile since @freckliephil & i talked about it. and she's 100% the source of my thoughts on this & i'll never be able to encapsulate it in words as well as she does :')
that said i'll still give it a shot!
do you ever think about how as much as dnp were absolutely uhauling it from day one they also took their time? people joke about dan's first trip being a sex marathon and there's definitely good fic about that but like. dan's uma thurman week tweets were clearly abt something new and special?
(& i'm not going to get into talking abt how penetrative sex isn't the only type of sex or the ultimate end goal but you can pretend i do that here).
anyways. uma thurman week was nearly 2 months after they met irl, yknow? and they'd spent as much time together in person as possible thru that stretch. but even the cherry tweets & then uma thurman tweets were several days into the visit in question. so like. it wasn't immediate! they weren't rushing into escalating physical intimacy!
they took their time and went at a pace that felt safe for dan which like. i cannot even begin to get into how huge it is that dan felt safe with phil both in his queerness and with physical touch. it's so overwhelming for me to think about.
like, i was abused at work for ~10 months as an adult; the person never laid a hand on me and i still have a complicated relationship with touch now. dan spent his entire childhood experiencing the abuse of intense bullying which INCLUDED a physical aspect.
i know not everyone responds to trauma in the same way but i don't think it's a stretch to say that dan almost certainly has had a much more complicated relationship with touch than i have or could even imagine as a result of his experiences. like we ALL knew he was triggered by having his neck touched before ever having the context of why.
back to the subject at hand i just like. it's just. dan felt safe with phil. to be himself and to touch and be touched. & it was more than just safe, it was good & felt good. they could laugh together. they took their time discovering what was pleasurable.
of course it was lifechanging. of course the feeling was too big to just hold in his body alone no wonder he tweeted like that.
of course it's still putting stars in their eyes fifteen years later.
#disclaimer that i know love doesn't erase or fix trauma and triggers.#jam replies#anon#phan#2009#nsft

Aneesh on IG live: (part 4, additional facts)
Amy's wife in the movie wasn't casted but she wears a ring, so it actually shows her married status
Matthew is a wonderful director: if he sees you struggling he'd help you asking "how can I help you reaching what you want to reach? Let's figure it out together."
Yes, Tzp and Nick are good friends (if it was necessary mentioning)
The RWRB cast texts even in private and she said she received texts from Matthew and Nick even the day of the live
Amy wasn't at the polo match (in case we get to see the extended version of it, she won't appear)
The night of the movie release everyone was super happy and waking up to the news of top 1 on Amazon Prime made all of them very proud
Everything was shot in London
The cast bonded a lot and they used to go out dinner (even before start shooting), Aneesh went to theater with Rachel and to a Filipino restaurant with Casey
David was a working dog so he couldn't be casually petted or played with but Aneesh was able to give him a little pet when she was allowed to
One thing she learned from playing Amy: be a badass and don't apologize for it
Aneesh wasn't on set the day of the cake scene but Matthew kept giving updates through texts
Just like movie Nora is a mix of book June and Nora, movie Amy ended up being a mix of book Cash and Amy because of time management (+ she didn't hide June in her pocket, it's just conspiracy 😔💔)
Uma Thurman is very sweet
Her favorite line was "No one in their right mind would ever give you a gun"
She read the book 5 times. 2 before even shooting and 2 in the process (the other one either before auditioning or after shooting was over, not sure). Now her book is full of tags and highlighted in lots of colors
If she could add a characteristic from book Amy, she wanted to have her knitting on the plane but the scene was already very full of elements and even if she discussed it with Matthew, they weren't able to implement it
She trained before starting shooting not knowing what the demands to play Amy were and weapons training was also discussed but eventually cut so she didn't have to go through it
The last day of shooting they had a rap party and Matthew gave a lil speech
She said she was going to post a video about her bangs and she did☺
Here for part 1, part 2, part 3

So, what spurned me to start this whole project was the idea of Mattel doing Skullectors of other movies and I wanted to make my designs of Little Shop of Horrors.
Since Audrey II is such an abstracted design from a humanoid, it gave me the freedom to do what I wanted. I went with a drag queen-style look, which I feel would be perfect for Monster High's aesthetics.
I went with Clawdia as a base sculpt because she was the only open-mouth sculpt and I thought it would be a fun base to work with.
She's rooted with nylon hair from @customdollhairau I custom dyed for some other dolls but ion streaks to mimic the plant design as well.
I initially chose a Gasglow-style mouth full of teeth, but after sitting with the face for a bit, I decided to draw it back a bit.
Since the original design didn't have eyes, I went with desaturated tones for her to mimic the look of plant markings. Instead of eyelashes, I went with teeth designs, as that was fun and made her eye makeup look like lips. I also went with desaturated tones for surrounding her eyes.
Her eyebrows are in reference to Uma Thurman's Poison Ivy look, and painting all those leaves was a bit hard for me.
She's so outside of my usual custom set, but I'm really proud of how she looks now.

I realized that I really don't care about any comments made on the boys' (especially Taylor’s) acting; I am not going to let them get to me at all anymore. You know why?
It occurred to me that the character that Alex has the most screen time with, excluding Henry for obvious reasons, is his mother. And you know who plays Alex's mother right? Uma fucking Thurman.
If Uma had a problem with Taylor's acting, I'm pretty sure she wouldn't have agreed to the film, or been much harsher with criticism to make him improve. Taylor has only ever said how amazing she was to work with and let me list the things he has said about working her for this:
that she was lovely and giving
that she also wanted to forge a personal connection with him
that despite having a very short amount of time to build their relationship for the screen they developed that connection through hugs, touches, little conversations
that they went to lunch together
that she was a professional who made him feel safe
that she didn't treat him like "that younger actor"
that she would improv at him and they tried different things throughout the filming
that she's a very skilled and competent actor
Here's the link to the video interview I pulled this from. Taylor talks about Uma from 3:06 to 4:28 if you don't feel like searching for it, or watching the whole thing. I'm sure he's also talked about her in written interviews, but I'm not going hunting for it because this post is already longer than I meant for it to be, and I'm writing it on an Wacom art tablet at my school's lab while taking what was supposed to only be a few minute-long break from my digital sculptures that I've been struggling and behind on for over a week. 🥲
Everything about the way Taylor talks about her and working with her gives me the impression that she would not hold back criticism. She's been in the industry for a long time, and knows the ins and outs of it. She sounds like a person who would not be afraid to say something if they saw an area that needed improvement, and that she would be respectful and nice about it while doing so.
It occurred to me that if Uma fucking Thurman did not see him as a bad actor, then the opinions of random strangers, most of whom have never set foot on a stage/set, don't matter at all.

5 Songs
Fall Out Boy - Uma Thurman
Woodkid - Iron
Imagine Dragons - Bones
The Smashing Pumpkings - Tonight, Tonight
KISS - Heaven's On Fire
One from each of my favorite playlists :)
Questions
1. Three ships you like:
Gale/Astarion BG3! Nobody pried bloodweave from my cold dead hands yet.
never stopped being a Brienne/Jaime (A Game of Thrones) truther
Also not sure if it counts (it does because I say so), but I love each and every friend OC paired with literally anyone out there? They are my favorite characters and I love seeing them happy in my friend's loving daydreams.
2. First ship ever: Oh. That's a hard one, because for a very long time I just...didn't? I enjoyed romance in media I consumed but never went out of my way to ship any of the characters outside of canon. I think the first that comes to mind is Bishop from Neverwinter Nights 2 and my OC at the time? I think I even wrote some fanfiction with them those years ago. Does this count? :D
3. Last song you heard: Eisbrecher - Rette mich
4. Favorite Childhood Book: I remember having a beautifully illustrated fairy tales by Hans Christian Andersen, read that one so many times the pages started to fall out...I don't remember what happened to it!
5. Currently Reading: Malleus by Dan Abnett, as part of The Omnibus. (also am in tears over it, too)
6. Currently Watching: Nothing, no time!
7. Currently Craving: fresh orange juice would change my life for the better if I could have it now.
Tagging (a long one [for me], because I am filled with *feelings* today) @iamaweretoad, @malewife-mansplain-magus, @schmooplesthesecond, @mightymizora, @aylinvail, @lylakoi, @bnbc and anyone who stumbled upon this and wants to give it a try 💜

WIP Whenever
I have so many wips (especially Cyberpunk) it ain't even funny. Let's check them out, shall we?
I intended on finishing this for Valentine's Day. I got to the rendering phase, as you can see, when I realized I think Johnny canonically has a massive scar on his stomach and chest. Kinda lost motivation to continue because I thought "Oh nooo I have to sketch and line and color something all over again oh noooo". Moving on-
God fuck do not ask me about the amount of references I had to screenshot myself, and the amount of fan art I collected in order to understand Songbird's chrome. The whole sketch has been finished for quite some time, but is is SO hard to line. I do hope I can return to this one some day because I have the full illustration in mind and in my head; it looks beautiful.
Painting practice. I didn't even get to the painting phase. Would you believe me if I said I spent most of the time sketching his beard? I've only drawn Takemura a few times, and each of those times has been a lovely painting. This one was going to be no different (except for the colored lighting I was going to choose).
I can't BELIEVE I haven't seen anyone parody the Pulp Fiction poster with Evelyn. I swear she looks so much like Uma Thurman! A lot of work went into sketching, lining, and coloring this. It wasn't until I colored the blanket and added a texture for a background that I just didn't like the direction this piece was going in (In terms of the color palette, textures). I think if I can find the motivation to return to this, I would start over at the coloring phase and work from there.

Saturday
I've never had any friends that got into FOB with me; when they came out I was already too old to be going to their shows but I went anyways. So I never really knew about their fan base until these Tourdust shows. The fans are seriously incredible. They do friendship bracelets and have a little project to pass out pink seashells for Fake Out. I even went to Emo Bingo with a bar full of fans, hosted by a FOB podcaster.
ANYWAYS I knew how the set list would go since I've actually streamed some of these shows (again the great fans that do this!) We got some surprises- Tim from Rise Against on Sugar We're Going Down! Patrick doing "Sweet Home Chicago" for the medley was SO GOOD. I love when he flexes his music geek talents. And 2 Magic 8 Ball songs? Yes please.
Both Patrick and Pete commented about being back home in Chicago and feeling really grateful for the fans. It's always nice to see a hometown show, I feel like the emotion is higher for the band. Not like these guys aren't bringing it every night because they are, it's just a very special vibe. Plus fireworks at the end, who doesn't love fireworks?
ThnksFrThMmrs guys!

#Did you know that this is a cover?📌
"But we all often glorify the former, not knowing that we glorify only the latter..."
Agree, it's a bit insulting if you were the first to perform (or even worse, write and perform) some kind of song, and all the laurels and national love were collected by someone else's cover, which, in addition, many perceive as the original.
«Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon»
Neil Diamond The Bang Years 1966-1968
Needless to say, the soundtrack to the movie "Pulp Fiction" (1994) is almost all good. But there is also a favorite here - the charming song "Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon" performed by the band URGE OVERKILL. The one that Uma Thurman's character dances to before sniffing the wrong powder.
youtube
Knowing the love of director Quentin Tarantin for the "old" music of the 1950s and 70s, it is not surprising that the song turned out to be old - albeit in a new performance. It was written and released as a single back in 1967 by American singer Neil Diamond. And, although the song was already in the TOP 10 at that time, over the years it had been forgotten.
youtube
«Hallelujah»
The song "Hallelujah", which has already tired the listener with countless covers, actually went to its glory for a very long time. The original 1984, recorded by the author of the song - Leonard Cohen - almost no one noticed.
youtube
In 1994, "Hallelujah" was recorded by Jeff Buckley on his album Grace. He abandoned the rich arrangement and performed the song simply with an acoustic guitar. As it turned out, it is this kind of performance that will really touch the audience. But the young man will not live to see this moment. After all, at first his album was not selling well, and in 1997 Buckley drowned in the river. Only 10 years later, "Hallelujah" was re-released as a single, the single became "platinum", after which there was no end of those who wanted to sing the song.
youtube
«White Dove»
On the collections of ballads by the German band SCORPIONS, released since 1994, you can find a composition called "White Dove" ("White Dove"), dedicated, as it is not difficult to guess, to "world peace". Many rock music fans of the older generation know perfectly well where the legs of this beautiful song "grow from." But the younger ones may need to be enlightened...
youtube
To do this, we need to go back 25 years to the time of the existence of the Eastern European socialist bloc, which included Hungary. It was in Hungary that one of the most famous rock bands of the socialist camp, called OMEGA, appeared.
The career of Magyar rockers began quite successfully. In 1968, they were noticed by British manager John Martin and invited to tour the Foggy Albion. OMEGA's debut album was also released there under the characteristic name "Omega Red Star from Hungary" — "OMEGA — red star from Hungary" (at home the record was called differently "Trombitas Fredi es a rettenetes emberek").
youtube
The group wanted to record a second album in Britain, but the Hungarian leadership did not visit OMEGA to the capitalists They liked it, and they were banned from traveling to Britain. But in vain. It was the 1969 record, "10000 lepes" ("10000 steps"), that the band released very successfully.
It was on it that OMEGA's biggest hit "Gyongyhaju Lany" ("Girl's Hair") was recorded — a beautiful ballad with a fashionable psychedelic tinge and a piercing anthemic chorus that could be sung along with the audience. In the spirit of the times, there was also a romantic and mystical text about a mysterious beauty with pearl hair, instilling light and hope into people's souls.
youtube
In 1970, "Gyongyhaju Lany" was released as a single and topped the Hungarian charts for 60 weeks.
Feeling the great potential of the song, the band recorded two more versions called "Pearls in her Hair": English ("Pearls in her hair") and German ("Perlen im Haar").
to be continued....

Quentin Tarantino's ✨️ dildo punishment ✨️
Following is an excerpt from "Late night with Conan O'Brien" with Uma Thurman.
C: Speaking of QT, I heard about his method... That he likes to take revenge on people on the set who fall asleep.
U: I never fell asleep ^_^
C: Yeah, but if someone did fall asleep on the set he would take revenge on it, right?
U: Yes. He had a weapon of choice. There was a large dildo. *cringes*
C: *WTF* You know that stories that start with "there was a large dildo"...
U: Yeah, there was a large dildo. And we're talking about something like this. *shows her hand from wrist to elbow* Whenever snores would be found in various corners of the set this thing would be brought out like jaws and then it'd be sort of presented in some really ungodly horrific sort of angle next to the face of the offending sleeper... Then would be photographs to be taken, and as they were taken there was a wall, like a wall of shame. I attempted to kidnap this wall on several occasions... And the board that it was on went missing once or twice and was then retrieved by grip department or something... And it was kept under lock and key. I can't remember what actors got photographed with this... elephant inseminator. But I do remember that at one point during a scene we heard snoring and found it was Bill, our first A.D. So he got hit up with the... Big Ben I think they called it.
C: Wow, alright. I think it's got such a friendly name *LMFAOOOOO* Isn't that a bear that befriends children?
U: This thing was totally not a friend of children, you know.

Now that you have wrapped up the biggest fight of the fic, do you have a fight you liked writing best? Obviously, this last one was the most important to the fic, and most important to get *right*, but which is your favorite? Or are they all about the same to you?
Ultimately, it was all about Luffa vs. Goku. Everything was building towards that, and that was always in the back of my mind when I was writing every other fight.
There was a time when I used to worry that if I went too hard on a particular fight, it might diminish the appeal to Luffa vs. Goku later on, but in hindsight, I needn't have worried, since Goku is such an iconic character that he raises the stakes just by showing up. And Luffa was created to compliment Goku, so the other fights were never going to overshadow that one. Besides, it's not like Akira Toriyama worried about King Piccolo stealing Vegeta's thunder or anything like that.
Even now, I sort of have this reflex to keep writing Luffa vs. Goku, even though it's finished. It's like that training montage in Kill Bill, where Uma Thurman spends all day punching blocks of wood, and she ends up punching the wall in her sleep. I guess I could run it back, but I'm not sure a rematch would fit the story at this point.
So that one's my favorite, and it's not even close. I was trying to think of other fights from earlier in the story, and I had trouble remembering. A lot of them were mismatches or just outright slaughters, so I don't think those would count.
Working backwards, I'm pleased with the way I handled the fights at the end of the Xenoverse/Demigra arc. As much as I was building towards Goku, the catch was that I also had to build up to Luffa vs. Demigra, and Luffa vs. Mind-Controlled Trunks before that. And before that, the Luffa/Goku team up in Chapter 200. So there was a lot of action, but I think I managed to pace it well and give each battle a chance to breathe, and keep it from getting too repetitive.
Anything with Cell was a blast, just because he's my favorite character, and the twist is that Luffa thinks he sucks. She fought him several times and decided he's not worth her time.
In a similar vein, the battles with Towa and Mira were fun, because the games try to set up Mira as having this rivalry with your Time Patroller, but that doesn't really work for the story, since Towa's the mastermind of their team, and Luffa would see Towa as the true enemy. Also Demigra's the real final boss of the game, so I didn't have much interest in developing Towa as a major antagonist, much less Mira. So I came up with the conceit that the rivalry is there, but it's entirely one-sided. Mira is obsessed with proving himself against Luffa, and Towa is fascinated with his obsession, and Luffa stone cold does not give a shit about either of them.
"Hey, my artificial husband saw you from across the bar, and we really hate your vibe. Can we buy you a drink?"
The fights with Frieza and Nappa were really satisfying to write, because I had Luffa in a state where she couldn't use her full power, and yet she still is the Legendary Super Saiyan, even if she can't back that up. And so she managed to get in the heads of those two characters, because they know the story and can kind of see it in her eyes without knowing it. Nappa realizes he's fighting this eldritch horror and this dread starts to set in. It's the sort of thing I couldn't do with Goku or Vegeta, because they're peers, so it's like when two golden retrievers meet another golden retriever.
The stuff with the Jindan cult was hard to write, but it probably holds up better than I thought it would at the time. The biggest plot hole in my mind was how a cult could accept a 100% casualty rate without all of the members quitting, but the past few years have shown me just how dearly people will cling to lost causes. Memestock investors are still going all in on Gamestop, for example, so I guess it wasn't so hard to believe that a bunch of Saiyans would convince themselves that they stood a chance against a vastly superior opponent.
I guess I should mention Luffa's last stand against the Tikosi on Dorlu Prime. That was really the first real fight in the story, and I was kind of worried about being able to pull off DBZ-style action in my writing. I guess I did okay.
#luffastuff#i probably can't ever do the xenoverse 2 story mode where towa uses the mask on luffa and makes her fight the rookie patroller#because at this point it would just be kind of weird for all three of them

okay so, long list of fall out boy concert thoughts mostly for myself and also for anyone who cares:
-i've been pretty excited about getting to see bring me the horizon open for them, and they were soooooo fucking good and got me so hyped. oli got off the stage and walked through the crowd at one point which was pretty cool. wish he had come close to me.
-love from the other side is SO hype and so amazing to see live.
-songs like uma thurman and save rock and roll that aren't normally favorites of mine are also hype just because of everyone singing and dancing and having fun and all the awesome fun stage effects! i was in the vip box area and had a great view of said stage effects. i hadn't watched many tourdust videos before so most of them were a surprise to me. loved the underwater background and bubbles some songs had and the spooky forest looking background, loved all the colorful fireworks, fucking loved when they had a giant doberman and it lip sycned during this ain't a scene it's an arms race and pete made it look like he was putting his head in its mouth. wish i got a photo of that.
-i got chicago is so two years ago in the TTTYG slot and i'm happy with that!
-i am still reeling from getting to hear calm before the storm and disloyal order of water buffaloes. it's 2023 and those two songs are permanent fixtures on the setlist. what the fuck.
-have to be honest that i got disappointed for a second when the opening chords to bang the doldrums played for the IOH slot just because like i don't get to go to multiple shows in one tour and don't know when i'll ever get to go to another show where i have a chance to hear hum hallelujah. so yeah i wanted to hear it because it's probably my favorite FOB song.
-BUT after that second of disappointment i was still fucking hyped and dancing and singing wholeheartedly to bang the doldrums because it's a banger, it's something they only started playing live on this very tour, and it's the one that was almost a shrek song, so can i really complain?
-got headfirst slide in the folie slot, it would've been super cool if they switched it for 27 again but i love headfirst slide too so no complaints there!!
-PATRICK PLAYED I'VE GOT ALL THIS RINGING IN MY EARS AND NONE ON MY FINGERS FOR HIS PIANO SOLO?? thank you patrick i love you i owe you my life
-i'm so glad we got one of the best MANIA songs for the tour, last of the real ones was so fun.
-umm okay so oli sykes may not have walked close to me but FUCKING. PETE WENTZ. GOT OFF THE STAGE DURING DANCE DANCE AND WALKED RIGHT BEHIND MY SEAT!?!?! i think my brain broke and i like almost died for a minute. i did not think to record a video of him walking by 😭 i panicked and snapped a blurry photo.
-AND THEN AFTER I GOT DONE SINGING ALONG TO HOLD ME LIKE A GRUDGE!!! THEY SUBJECTED ME TO FROM NOW ON WE ARE ENEMIES AS THE 8 BALL SONG!!
-look, the only reason i didn't put from now on we are enemies on my 8 ball wishlist was i didn't think they would even consider it. i thought it was just too delusional of a pick. i recorded a video of it and i'm pretty sure it starts with me shouting "HOLY SHIT" right at the opening chords and continues with patrick being inaudible because i'm screaming the lyrics
-made me sad that not many people seemed to know the song though :( like i GET IT because a song that was only ever released NOT EVEN as a b-side but on their 2009 greatest hits album and then never ever played live is a pretty big deep cut. but i wish there had been more energy for it. it does help that pete said "that went better than i expected!" afterward, and hey, i bet some people at that show heard it for the first time ever and loved it.
-the flame effects during my songs know what you did in the dark were sooo cool and fun and so were the big sparkly fireworks during thnks fr the mmrs and the confetti everywhere at the end.
-i saw someone say they should take saturday off the setlist. that is the most wrong opinion i've ever heard. fall out boy shows closing with saturday is a 20-year tradition still going strong and i'm so glad i finally got to experience it.
#i should've done a post like this for my mcr show too but for some reason i wasn't in the mood then#even though i was even MORE insane about that concert than this one#anyway the show was great. wish they had played hum hallelujah for me though#fall out boy
