okay i’ve changed my mind about armand’s origin story AGAIN.

above screenshots are from Hindus Beyond the Hindu Kush: Indians in the Central Asian Slave Trade by Scott C. Levi
so the talamasca notes his origins as “delhi” which is corroborated by armand’s earliest memory (“i’m being ran down by slavers in delhi.”) this would have been when he was a child, let’s say under 12 years old. this makes the year no later than 1520. the portuguese had already established trade links with india through vasco de gama in the previous century but through calicut. calicut is nowhere near delhi as the former is a coastal polity whereas the latter is further up north.
if he was abducted north to south, in order for armand to have been trafficked from delhi to venice, he would have been captured by locals for domestic service → eventually made his way to coastal settlements where european traders were → given to europeans and taken on a ship → eventually landed in venice.
if he was abducted further north before going back south, he could have been abducted for international trade (i.e. central asia) and may have actually spent some time there for an uzbek/chagatai turkic-speaking household (hence “asr namozi” instead of “salat al asr”) before making his way somehow back into the subcontinent - he escaped? he got sold again? he accompanied a party making way down south? cue european traders taking him for their own commodity and the long voyage to the mediterranean. it’s possible his parents’ relative poverty had prevented them from paying taxes to the sultan, rendering them disloyal to the eyes of the aristocracy, and were deemed free game for enslavement.
#armand#iwtv#mytext#iwtv meta#meta#in conclusion: things would be easier if only he were from the bay of bengal or any other major maritime sites#why did they have to make him from delhi omg y’all are driving me insane#armand meta#iwtv3#iwtv x history

The 13th Annniversary Arshi Fiesta
Moodboard:Historical AU
Whispers of the Heart | Chapter 01

I am not very good at writing ffs. I even read ffs very selectively. But it was an attempt of me to participate in the 13th-anniversary arshi fiesta. I might be wrong about certain aspects of that age and era, but it's a fantasy, so why not?
I don't own Arnav and Khushi and the story is purely fictional and has no relation to any living or dead. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental.
warning : death,murder,rape,suicide. so it's a trigger warning.

Chapter 1
In the early 20th century, in Delhi, standing in a field where the cremation was happening, the people gathered in their white clothes watching two pyres of fire burning, mourning for the two lives that ended too early.
"Give them peace and make it easy for them to pass the afterlife."
Praying silently for the departed soul, Manoroma Rajput wiped the tears from her cheeks and looked at the small soul beside her. The child hadn't uttered a single word in the two days following her parents' tragic death. Manoroma reached down to take the young girl's hand, hoping to offer some comfort to the only child of her dearest friend, Garima Gupta.
When the son of Jamidar of Laxminagar, Sashi Gupta, saw Garima Roy Chowdhury, daughter of a respectable Jamidar of Calcutta, in his best friend, Jamidar of Santinagar and neighbour Mahindar Rajput and Monorona Sengupta's wedding, he fell head over heels in love with her. Manoroma was so happy that she could have her childhood friend with her all through her life as a neighbour. But alas a few days ago, a dakoit attack had crumbled all her dreams along with the happiness of the eight-year-old child. Sashi was brutally murdered and Garima was brutally raped and murdered alongside her husband and the details that Manoroma pried from her husband, the little girl might have faced the same consequence as her mother if the servant Madhumati ji had not intervened in time risking her life. Madhumati had been with the Gupta family since childhood. And She considered Sashi as her own brother. So, when she came to Rajput's house that fateful night with that unconscious child wrapped in a blanket, Manorama and Madhumati could nothing but cry at the horror of the situation. To make matters worse, the next day, Sashi Gupta's elder brother came to take the child home, only to marry her off to a man old enough to be her grandfather to shake off her responsibility and capture the property of her father. In these days and age, female children had little right over their parents' properties but Sashi Gupta was ahead of his age. He had a connection with the local government and transferred some of the property to his daughter's name. No wonder her uncle was so ready to marry her off in exchange for money. But Manoroma and Mahindar had intervened in time and all but snatched the little girl back to their home and heard her uncle disowned her of the Gupta title. But who was he to disown her, that title was all she had of her parents left.
Coming back to the present, Manoroma tried to comfort her by squeezing her hand, but the little girl didn't want her comfort. She gently pulled her hand away before looking up at Manoroma with eyes so big and brown and broken that Manoroma felt her heart break all over again. A sob caught in Manoroma's throat. It was unthinkable, unimaginable… and yet it had happened. Sashi and Garima were gone, leaving behind their eight-year-old daughter.
The service concluded, and yet Khushi remained still, refusing to speak or even look at those who stepped forward to offer their condolences. Not wanting to put any additional strain on the young girl's shoulders, Manoroma glanced at her husband.
Mahindar nodded, instinctively knowing what his wife had communicated.
"I'll get the carriage "
The ride back to the house was filled with a strained silence. Manoroma sneaked a glance to check on the child quietly sitting all alone in front of her. Worry and concern battled for dominance, little Khushi was such a sensitive child - how would she cope with such a devastating loss?
The next few days, Manoroma and Mahindar were devoted to the child, trying to draw her out of the little shell she'd retreated into. Mahindar always loved Khushi as his own, always wanted a daughter himself but after two sons back to back his dream was yet to be fulfilled. But looking at his best friend's daughter so small and vulnerable, he vowed to himself, that if God gave him a chance, he would do anything for this girl and raise her as his own as she was gifted to him. And then nobody came to take care of the child from Sashi's in-law's side and God fulfilled Mahindar's wish of having Khushi as his daughter.
It was unnatural for a child her age to be so very still. She seemed to sit and stare no matter where she was. In her room, she would stare out the window, clutching the rug doll her mother had made for her to her chest. If prompted, she would wander outside only to sit on the small bench and stare at the trees. She would pick up things they tried to give her, but her actions were more dutiful than enthusiastic. She had no interest in food or any games they tried to play with her. She spoke not at all, though she could be coaxed to nod or shake her head. She didn't even touch her favourite jalebies.
At the end of the year, Manoroma and Mahindar's two sons came home from boarding school in Darjeeling. Manoroma was excited and hopeful for Khushi too. Because he always adored her Akash vai and the chocolates he brought for her every year since he went to boarding school. Sixteen-year-old Akash swept the tiny girl right up off her feet, tossing her high in the air. His ever-present grin faltered and fell when Khushi reacted not at all. She didn't cry out, nor did she giggle with delighted little-girl pleasure. Unsure how to handle her apathy, Akash sat her back down again. Fourteen-years old, Amandranath Rajput and his friend Arnav Singh Raizada looked at the scene in front of them with a forlorn look.
Arnav was Mahindar's best friend Amarpal's son. Mahindar, Sashi and Amarpal used to be thick as thieves. He never thought in a million years that all of his friends would face such horrible consequences. Amarpal's father was a great businessman at that time. Despite not being a Jamidar, Amarpal's father had the same amount of properties as Mahindar's father. But Amarpal's father wasted most of them on gambling and alcohol. Amarpal and Ratna's marriage was arranged by their fathers who were business partners and the couple had a daughter, Anjali and a son, Arnav from their union. Amarpal Singh Raizada was not like his father at all, he was a scholar and was too fascinated with Western education and culture. Seeing his enthusiasm Ratna allowed her husband to leave India to study at British University for a few years, but little did she know that her husband would have an affair with a ferengi, Natalie Smith there. Upon hearing this news, Ratna Singh Raizada hanged herself, discovered by her 12-year-old son. And on the other hand, receiving the news of his wife's demise Amarpal shot himself in the head in a drunken state out of guilt. After that, Arnav's Uncle had all but thrown them out of their home. Till then Anjali and Arnav were living with their maternal grandmother Suvadra Malik. He too was studying with Akash and Aman in the same boarding school and as a result spent most of his holidays in Rajput haveli, actually he lived with the Rajputs when he came to Delhi as his grandmother couldn't bear the sight of him as he looked so much like his father. But thank god, that lady adored Anjali and had no problem with her. So, Arnav was just bidding his time to end his education and do something of his own and be free from his grandmother's torment. Because without education and no properties, he was no better than a manual labourer. And Arnav Singh Raizada was nothing but ambitious.
Amandranath aka Aman moved first, squeezing Khushi's cheek to get a reaction from her awkwardly but failed. Arnav didn't greet the child at all. Manoroma and Mahindar watched them curiously. Their eyes followed the children, watching as Arnav sat on the step beside Khushi without saying a word.
This continued for several days. No matter where Khushi would choose to sit and stare, Arnav would sit quietly with her. He might read or work on his homework, but he was always with her.
On the fifth day, Arnav stood suddenly and said unceremoniously. "I'm taking a walk," he said to no one, his voice unassuming.
He extended his hand toward the little girl.
Manorama watched, surprised, as Khushi first turned her head, staring at his hand with a look of serious contemplation that seemed wrong on such a small angelic face. Then she stood, tucking her rug doll safely under one arm, and put her hand in his.
Together, they walked out beyond the tree line hand in hand.

"We want justice,” doctors chanted in Kolkata, waving handwritten signs that read, “No safety, no service!”
16 Aug 2024
Indian doctors have called for a nationwide shutdown of hospital services as public fury over the rape and murder of a trainee medic in the eastern city of Kolkata last week mounts.
The Indian Medical Association (IMA), the country’s largest grouping of medics with 400,000 members, said the 24-hour shutdown would be implemented on Saturday, affecting most hospital departments except for essential services.
The shutdown comes after thousands of people took to the streets in several cities to express their outrage at the rape and murder of a 31-year-old trainee doctor, whose brutalised body was found on August 9 at Kolkata’s state-run RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.
On Friday, large protests were held in various cities – including Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal state, Mumbai in the west and Hyderabad in southern India – demanding justice and better security at medical campuses and hospitals.
“We want justice,” doctors chanted in Kolkata, waving handwritten signs that read, “No safety, no service!”
Demonstrators held banners calling for accountability as they gathered near parliament in New Delhi.
“Doctors, especially women are vulnerable to violence because of the nature of the profession. It is for the authorities to provide for the safety of doctors inside hospitals and campuses,” the IMA said in a statement issued on Thursday on X.
Doctors hold posters and shout slogans during a protest condemning the rape and murder of the trainee doctor, at a medical college in Ahmedabad, western India, on August 16 [Amit Dave/Reuters]
Multiple medical unions in both government and private systems have backed the strike.
Doctors in government hospitals across several states on Monday had halted elective services “indefinitely” in protest.
Indian media have reported that the murdered doctor was found in the teaching hospital’s seminar hall, suggesting she had gone there for a brief rest during a long shift.
An autopsy confirmed sexual assault. Doctors say the circumstances of the rape point to the vulnerability of medics left without proper protection and facilities.
Though police have detained a man who worked at the hospital helping people navigate busy queues, state government officers have been accused of mishandling the case.
On Wednesday night, the hospital where the trainee doctor was killed was attacked. Police did not identify who was behind the rampage, but said they have arrested 19 people so far.
Little has changed
There were more than 31,000 reported rapes in India in 2022, the latest year for which data is available, according to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB).
The gang rape and murder in 2012 of a young woman on a bus in Delhi, northern India, led to nationwide protests and outrage over the country’s failure to tackle sexual violence against women.

Since 2012, the government has brought in sweeping changes to the criminal justice system, including tougher sentences and the death penalty for repeat offenders.
Conviction rates for rape ranged between 27-28 percent from 2018-2022, according to NCRB data.
The definition of rape has also been widened to include non-penetrative acts and the age threshold for rape trials lowered so 16-year-olds can be tried as adults.
But campaigners say little has changed despite the tougher laws.
Criminal lawyer Rebecca M John, who has represented many rape victims, said some rapists still believe they can get away with their crimes.
“One of the factors would be the absence of fear of the law,” she said.
Many cases of crimes against women also go unreported because of the stigma surrounding sexual violence and a lack of faith in the police.

'No Safety, No Duty': OPD Services Hit By Nationwide Doctors' Protest
Doctors across the country have refused to return to work, except for emergency procedures, as they protest against the rape and murder of a 31-year-old doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. Nationwide protests are underway
The Federation of Resident Doctors' Association (FORDA) yesterday announced a nationwide pause in elective services in hospitals. In a letter to Union Health Minister JP Nadda, FORDA described the Kolkata incident as "perhaps the greatest travesty to have occurred in the history of the resident doctor community".
FORDA has demanded resignation of all authorities concerned who could not protect the dignity and life of a woman on-duty doctor. They have also sought an assurance that the protesting doctors will not be manhandled and swift action in the case.
Treatment at most hospitals in Kolkata has taken a hit after doctors joined the protest demanding justice in the case. Several patients and their relatives have complained of inconvenience due to the protest.
The number of daily surgeries at AIIMS Delhi are down by 80 per cent and admissions by 35 per cent after doctors began an indefinite strike over the Kolkata incident, news agency PTI has reported. AIIMS authorities have, meanwhile, issued a circular, asking the doctors to join work and citing a High Court order that doctors cannot be part of protests on the premises.
The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has shot off a letter to Health Minister Nadda, demanding the enactment of a central law to curb attacks and violence against doctors as a "deterrence" measure and declaration of hospitals as safe zones.
A civic volunteer who frequented the hospital has been arrested in connection with the rape and murder of the Kolkata doctor. West Bengal Chief Minister has given city police time till Sunday to complete the probe, after which the state government will recommend a CBI investigation.

In March 2018, an Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner took off from New Delhi bound for Tel Aviv. This not only marked the first commercial flight between the two capitals, but more importantly, it became the first service to Israel allowed to cross Saudi Arabia’s airspace. This was the outcome of deft diplomacy, and it happened two years before the Abraham Accords were signed, offering the first preview of the “new” Middle East—one anchored around connectivity, wealth, business, and technology instead of ideology, conflict, and confrontation.
Today, the news from the region is more grim than it has been for years. A broader Israel-Iran conflict has taken center stage, Gaza’s civilians are returning to decimated neighborhoods amid a tenuous Israel-Hamas cease-fire agreement, and the collapse of the Assad regime in Syria has exacerbated regional tensions.
The recent killing, by unconfirmed perpetrators, of Zvi Kogan, a 28-year-old Israeli Moldovan rabbi and emissary for Chabad Lubavitch in Abu Dhabi, has been classified as a terrorist attack by Israel. For Israelis, the Kogan murder case challenged a view of Dubai as an oasis of stability and security for everyone, including Jews. This underscores how the Israel-Hamas war has derailed the Israeli Arab rapprochement that characterized the heady days after the Abraham Accords, when Israeli tourists flocked to Dubai as if it were a European capital.
For a country like the United Arab Emirates—which has promoted pluralism and intra-religious harmony by way of inaugurating both a synagogue and Hindu temple on its soil—protecting sociopolitical gains is critical.
But did the very idea of a “new” Middle East—glimpses of which can be seen in the skyscrapers of Dubai and the blueprints of Neom, the futuristic city envisioned by the Saudis—die on Oct. 7, 2023, when Hamas conducted its audacious terror strike against Israel?
For a long time, the meteoric economic rise of countries like the UAE occurred largely because of their own government’s individual policies. However, regional progress today may well demand a rethink in Arab capitals regarding the importance of resolving the Palestine question once and for all.
Many scholars, intellectuals, and politicians believe that confronting aspects of the “old” Middle East that were ignored, like the status of the Palestinian territories and the political rights of Palestinians, is now central to any cohesive forward movement for the Arab world, Israel, and Iran alike. There are also those, such as scholar Marwan Kabalan, who believe that Oct. 7 was partly, if not entirely, designed to derail the progress being made, such as a potential Saudi-Israel normalization and the success of bigger geoeconomic ideas, such as the envisioned India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) announced on the sidelines of a G-20 summit in 2023.
The latest war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, as well as its extension into Lebanon between Israel and Hezbollah, has also rapidly reoriented the regional policies of the Arab states. The chain reaction of events—ranging from the China-brokered detente between Riyadh and Tehran to a rapid disintegration of the Assad family’s control of Syria after more than 50 years of iron-fisted rule—have once again placed the Palestinian cause front and center. The Palestinians have often been used as a crisis of convenience for management of regional politics, including by Arab states. But this is now bound to change with Palestinian self-determination once again finding a global audience.
The Abraham Accords, signed in 2020 by a cluster of Arab states led by the UAE and Israel, sought to normalize political and diplomatic relations and set out a path toward a new regional order. Prosperity, economic progress, developmental integration—in other words, money—is the mantra today.
Regional powers such as the UAE and Saudi Arabia are hedging their bets on allies and pursuing strategic autonomy. In addition to close ties with the United States, they are expanding trade and political outreach with both China and Russia. In July, the air forces of the UAE and China held their second annual joint exercise in the restive Chinese region of Xinjiang, where Beijing has committed itself to systematic and violent repression of its Uyghur Muslim population.
Satellite images that captured these exercises show that the UAE flew its predominantly Western military equipment, including French-made Mirage 2000 fighter aircraft and U.S.-made C-17 Globemaster heavy transport aircraft, deep into Chinese territories. In former U.S. President Joe Biden’s framing of international relations—of an unfolding “democracy verses autocracy” contestation—Arab monarchies have found a sweet spot to thrive in.
The Middle East’s regional disorder has a different and older rulebook to it, where long-standing Western interference in both good and bad faith—led by a wish to reshape regional politics as per the requirements of Washington, London, or Paris—has failed to create outcomes leading to sustainable progress.
The recurring issue of establishing a sovereign Palestinian state is a prime example of the old rulebook’s return.
Iran, as part of its two long-term strategies of supporting an Axis of Resistance along with maintaining a “forward defense” posture, has used the Palestinian cause for its own ends—backing both Hamas and Hezbollah.
Israel’s assassinations of top Hamas and Hezbollah officials in recent months has dealt serious blows to Iran’s regional strategy, but Iran has had some victories away from the battlefield. Its normalization with Saudi Arabia is a merger of the old with the new. For the moment, the Saudis have stepped away from the idea of normalizing ties with Israel, and in return, Saudi oil facilities—which were attacked by Iran’s Houthi allies in Yemen in 2019—have been spared since.
While this does not mean the fundamentals of Saudi-Iran rivalry have been resolved, Riyadh has pushed itself toward neutrality, rather than overt confrontation, to protect its own ongoing economic, political, and ideological diversification.
Amid all these interplays, the return of U.S. President Donald Trump is the proverbial joker in the deck. While it is true that Trump’s own preference for personality over policy may see him push all parties, including Israel, for de-escalation and long-term cease-fires, he is not expected to return U.S. intervention to the era of boots on the ground or even put promotion of democracy at the forefront.
But Trump is also what is known in Persian as a bazaari, meaning one who is always looking for a good deal. The Arabs, Israelis, and Iran alike are cognizant of this trait. In part, this may be a reason why Iran could remain content as a threshold nuclear state to try and box Trump in his own self-aggrandizing narrative as a president who did not start any wars.
The end of the current Israel-Hamas war and a push for a two-state solution is once again emerging as a consensus in the region. The old wisdom of a two-state design has triumphed globally, as it remains the only workable outcome on paper—primarily because no other viable options have been presented for decades.
U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, an advisor and close confidant of Trump, has said that the best insurance policy against Hamas is “not an Israeli reoccupation of Gaza but a reform in the Palestinian society” and that only the Arab states can achieve that. But not many leaders within the Arab states seem eager to take up unilateral ownership of such a task, even as they reap the benefits of Israeli military action to dismantle both Hamas and Hezbollah.
Despite more than a year of war, large projects ranging from connectivity to energy security continue to be envisioned. What will be expected from the region is to take ownership of its own regional security, critical for furthering its own economic aims. For this, conflict management, rather than conflict resolution, is the way forward.
An appetite for a new Middle East order may well provide enough motivation to resolve the obstacles created by the resurgence of the old one. The developing cease-fire between Israel and Hamas marks a moment of respite from war and an opening for the Arab states to address Palestinians’ role in the region moving forward. Saudi-Iran normalization can also be a catalyst, and Arab powers, specifically after the Abraham Accords, hold enough political influence across Israel, Iran, and the Palestinian territories to drive a new era of dialogue, compromise, and resolution.

Aug. 5 (UPI) -- Bangladesh's embattled prime minister, Sheikh Hasina, resigned Monday and fled the country after protesters stormed her official residence in the capital amid a growing revolt that began over quotas for government jobs in which hundreds of mostly protesters have died.
The announcement from the head of the army, Gen. Waker-uz-Zaman, came after security forces were overwhelmed by thousands of people incensed by a violent government crackdown descending on the Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area of Dhaka, setting cars and offices ablaze.
Footage circulating online shows protesters celebrating inside Hasina's residence, removing furniture and elsewhere in the city trying to tear down a statue of her father, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, former prime minister and leader of the country's independence movement, who was assassinated in 1975.
Promising the formation of an interim government, Zaman pleaded with demonstrators to call off their protests.
"Whatever demands you have, we will fulfil and bring back peace to the nation, please help us in this, stay away from violence," said Zaman who promised the military would also back off.
"The military will not fire at anyone, the police will not fire at anyone, I have given orders."
Hasina arrived by helicopter in India at a military airbase 17 miles east of Delhi on Monday evening with the BBC reporting that she may be en route to London, citing unconfirmed reports.
A spokesman for British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said Monday that he wanted to see urgent action to "ensure democracy" won out -- but made no mention of Hasina coming to Britain or any discussions regarding where she might go into exile.
"The right to peaceful protest must be protected and never subjected to violence, and we call on the authorities to release all peaceful protesters and ensure due process is followed for those charged and prosecuted," he added.
"I hope that swift action is taken to ensure that democracy prevails and accelerate the process towards peace and security to people in Bangladesh."
Hasina's son, Sajeeb Wazed Joy, said she had been considering resigning for the past 24 hours and had left the country for her own safety at the insistence of her family.
He rejected the accusations leveled at the 76-year-old of outstaying her welcome after four terms totaling more than two decades during which she gradually morphed from the democratic icon catapulted into office in a people power uprising into an authoritarian leader amid crackdowns on dissent and allegations of graft.
"She has turned Bangladesh around. When she took over power it was considered a failing state. It was a poor country. Until today it was considered one of the rising tigers of Asia. She's very disappointed."
In Dhaka, demonstrators ignored an evening curfew as unrest and looting continued into the night with demonstrators breaching the gates and damaging the residence of Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan in the Dhanmondi area of the capital where smoke was seen coming from the building.
Protesters torched the city's Mujibur museum.
Northeast of Dhaka, 150 miles away in Sylhet, the offices of the deputy commissioner and superintendent of police and the homes of several councilors were attacked.
Hasina's resignation came a day after more than 90 people were killed Sunday during clashes between anti-government protesters and police -- 13 of whom were among those killed after thousands of people attacked a police station in the northwestern district of Sirajganj.
Sunday's casualties brought the death toll to 280 since early July when student protests over the partial reinstatement by the courts of civil service recruitment quotas -- where sought-after government jobs were reserved for supporters of Hasina's ruling Awami League -- erupted into wider, and violent, anti-government unrest.
Government crackdown efforts escalated from tear gas and rubber bullets to live fire, curfews and Internet blackouts bringing hundreds of thousands more people onto the streets demanding change and ultimately Hasina's resignation.
Student organizers had called Sunday for a national non-cooperation government boycott under which people would refuse to pay taxes and utility bills.

Skilled Worker Stream
Critical Worker Stream
International Graduate Stream
To qualify for the Labour Impact Category, candidates must:

Base vs. Enhanced PNPs
When applying for permanent residency through a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), candidates can choose between two types of pathways:
Base PNPs: These programs do not align with Express Entry. Candidates submit profiles directly to the province or territory.
Enhanced PNPs: Candidates have a profile in the Express Entry pool. If nominated by the province, they receive an additional 600 points towards their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, significantly improving their chances of receiving an ITA in the next Express Entry draw.
How Healthcare Workers Can Benefit from PEI PNP
For healthcare professionals, the PEI PNP offers an ideal opportunity to immigrate to Canada. As the demand for healthcare workers continues to grow, PEI actively seeks professionals in this field. Healthcare workers who are already working in PEI or have job offers from PEI employers are eligible for consideration under both the Labour Impact Category and PEI PNP Express Entry.
With the rising need for healthcare professionals in Canada, now is the perfect time to explore options like the PEI PNP. Wave Immigration Consultant, known for its personalized services, can assist you in navigating this process.
Macro Trends Impacting Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) in Canada
The 2025-2027 Immigration Levels Plan has had a significant impact on Canada’s Provincial Nominee Programs. As part of the new plan, the PNP admissions target has been reduced for 2025 from 110,000 to 55,000, which will influence the number of ITAs issued across Canada’s provinces.
This reduction may impact the number of candidates selected in future PNP draws, making it even more important for aspiring immigrants to maximize their chances of being invited through programs like PEI PNP.
The 2025 Immigration Levels Plan and Its Implications
The 2025 Immigration Levels Plan has set a new allocation for permanent residency admissions under the PNP at 55,000. This allocation will be distributed among the various provinces and territories. As such, it’s crucial to stay updated on these changes and adjust your immigration strategy accordingly.
The shift to a lower allocation underscores the importance of acting quickly, especially for professionals in high-demand fields like healthcare. Wave Immigration Consultant can help you plan your next steps to align with these shifting trends.
