I usually did playlists only for stories, but then I found this tumblr post and tried to do some for my OC-s. Well, let me tell you guys, that is a golden post. Helped me so much to grasp their character.

Anyway, I'll share this one since I can't listen to anything else recently for some reason. I guess I should write something with her.

Uh oh, you just chose my absolute fav thing. I can't write without having the perfect music for my WIP's (or whole playlists tbh, no question why I have like a thousand playlist on spotify), in fact, usually my story ideas come from lines from lyrics or whole songs (or mishearing something because I'm very big on that one lol).

For Project Metalsea is Brave New World by Kalandra is the one that represents it and the trailer song is Hidden Machinations by Eternal Eclips.

For IQRUS is Here We Stand by Hidden Citizen and SVRCINA is the one that represents and for the trailer is Shimmering Cities by Pawel Blaszczak.

Tune Tuesday

I'm late a bit I know lmao but in my heart everyday is Tune Tuesday, so. I'll go with a separate post, because I'm probably gonna write a lot and it's better that way then.

I'll also give some new songs at the end just to keep this going hehe

The Sound of Silence. This one gives me goosebumps every fucking time I listen to it and I love it. This song is also a tune for Adran, the big brother from IQRUS!

A lots of responsibility weighs his shoulders and some of them he took it upon himself voluntarily, but that doesn’t mean he can’t feel overwhelmed sometimes. But usually when he feels like that, he talks to (the IQRUS version is slightly different, but still) God and even though they never answers him personally, he feels better. However, when conflict comes upon conlict, God answers him the first time. Not gonna go too deep into it, because spoilers, but Adran’s head will be full of voices and whispers soon. I think you got an idea where this leads, but I’ll not spoil for now :D He slowly loses touch with his peers, his environment and his reality. From a point he just wants to find peace again. And in the end, when everything seems to fall apart, he will find it. For a moment, evertyhing will be clear again. He will find his peace and silence at last.

Man or a Monster. Definitely Darmon’s song!

When he faces the consequences of his action the first time is the one scene that came to my mind right away. He will look around in his environment with open eyes, seeing all the glossy eyes and empty faces he created through the years. He will walk faster among the “zombie-like” creatures. Every one of them awaits his order, not moving an inch by itself. Darmon feels sick. All the creatures, big, slender, draar, driadlin. They act the same when you rip their soul out. But it was for the right cause, right? He didn’t even know it won’t be reversible. Did he? No, he was very aware of that deep down and he still did it. At that point, he will reach the cages of the prisoners, and he needs to force himself to look at them. At the point ears, the too long arms and legs, the too slender or too bulky figures, at angry or frightened faces, at them whom curled into the corner of their cages, at… people. By the Three, they had souls to take and lives to fight for! He realises what he just did and then sees a kid too. He tries to change back whatever he did to her, but he just makes it worst and that’s when he losts it completely. He decides to free and warn the people (first time he calls them that) so they can save what’s left of the world from the monsters wearing the skin of men. Just like him. He also will learn some healing magic later on, so the "In your hands, there's a touch that can heal / But in those same hands, is the power to kill" line is just perfect for him.

All The King’s Man. This song is one of my all-time fav and I wrote a little novella for it in the past, but now with a different association, this one is also a Darmon song lol.

There's an event in Metalsea that will upset the world order and everything will change very drastically and fast. Some people even go kind fo nuts at some point and one of them will be Prince Urien who wanted to marry one of the MC's but couldn't because she ran away. So, when this event happens, Prince Urien kills his father to make himself a king and takes Syonehlia (the MC that ran away and Darmon's love interest) as a hostage to make her his Queen. Then Darmon finds himself in prison with every citizen of Evalon. He’s cluless about what’s the Prince’s twisted plan or motives, but he won’t sit in a cell while innocent people are imprisoned and Syon is in danger. He manages to free everyone from prison, however, the newly crowned King Urien has half an army of corrupted creatures with him that attackes them right away. Innocents die, while Syonehlia struggles to escape Urien’s grip. This overwhelms Darmon, he sees the product of his actions (because he created these corrupted creatures) and while he despises the idea, he uses his dark magic one last time and goes berserk. With feather light steps and seemingly choreographed gestures, he butchers the corrupts alone, barely keeping himself together. The shadows and whispers call him to join them, so when he’s on the doorstep of losing himself completely, he somehow wakes up from the dangerous haze.

For some reason this one is a villain song for me, just this time, it’s Troghrun from Project Metalsea. A little different, but still going for those heroes.

Young God

Well, this says a lot, but it’s a perfect song for Cronyl’s “final form” at the end of Metalsea lol. Some part of the lyrics also very fitting for it.

Legend, you’re so in time! You can always pop in for anything 🧡 Thank you, and then I'll go for a treat then, because you're always feeding my excitement by indulging my asks. Therefore, here's a pretty old and not really canon Dava scene because I know you love them. 🍬

Lil' summary: Dane and Auva are talking about what is magic and hope. I used this as a dialogue exercise, so there is not much detail about who speaks, either way, Auva starts the convo.

“At some point, technology will feel like magic.”

“Perhaps, but that doesn’t make it magic.”

“Depends on your definition of magic, Dane. What is it really? Lightning shooting from a robed figure’s fingers? A wonder that can cure and save everyone and everything? Or a generated phenomena beyond mortal understanding and logic?”

“Neither, it is just the cruel deception of the desperate. People getting advantage over those who lost hope.”

“I see. And what is hope then?”

“Hope is… well, it’s a feeling. A stupid one, might I add. It makes people vulnerable enough to override logic and reality in their head. There’s some useful aspect of it, I admit, but I wouldn’t say the overall feeling is something that rational people need. Why, though? Don’t you zaphrin hope too?”

“I... no, we actually don't.”

“Really? Haven’t you hoped to find me?”

“That’s not how we work. I had a task to come here and find someone capable of working with me against Lero. We knew there was someone, so I only needed to wait. It was either success or failure.”

“But you couldn’t know for truly certain there is someone who's capable enough. That’s not possible, only if you know the future. Which you stated you don’t. So you zaphrin didn’t know there is someone, but hoped. In fact, hoped enough to believe that it is a fact. You’re much more of a believer than we humans, as it seems.”

Auva didn’t respond. She seemed lost in thought as she stared at her hands in her lap. Maybe Dane shouldn’t have said that. He basically shattered her whole understanding over her species. Unintentionally yes, but still. He felt awful.

Dane was ready to apologize when an ever so gentle smile creeped onto Auva’s lips.

“Yes, yes it seems we are.” She looked up at Dane and her eyes sparkled. “Isn’t it magical?”
