Christmas Matchmakers (ION, 2019)
A new start isn’t running away, it’s starting over.
Starring: Vivica A. Fox, Andrew Rogers, Anna Marie Robbins, Dorian Gregory
Plot Synopsis: Two overworked personal assistants hatch a plan to get their bosses to date each other. (x)
In My Humble Opinion: ION, my favorite disaster channel, did not air this movie with the ending on Sunday night. It apparently reached the point where the female lead ran after the male lead and then cut straight to the credits. People were outraged and ION, my favorite disaster channel, decided to just remind people that the movie was airing again on Saturday. They could catch the ending then.
My question is why would anyone want to watch the ending of this dumpster fire of a movie.
Christmas Matchmakers is the worst movie I have seen this year. Easily. Everything about it is bad.
The idea behind this film was very clearly “What if we plagiarized the plot of Set It Up and set it at Christmas? And then just changed a few details here and there so that we avoid getting sued?” (It’s different! He’s the writer! And she works in business!) I could have dealt with that. Made-for-TV Christmas movies love stealing from mainstream romcoms and also Liar, Liar that one time. Originality is not the name of the game in this genre.
That wasn’t the problem I had with Christmas Matchmakers though. The problem I had is that while Set It Up was both written and directed by women, and Christmas Matchmakers was apparently written and directed by incels. The lead dude is the fucking worst.
I’m not talking about his tirades about how people these day suck because they like movies and TV and not books. Though that was annoying. I can take a pretentious lead. My favorite show is Frasier. The pretension is fine. What’s not fine? The lead dude’s insistence that the female lead has to date him. There’s a long scene where he complains about him friendzoning her and how he won’t settle for friendship and the conversation paints him completely in the right, even though she had a very reasonable explanation for all of his points and even explained that she just got out of a rough year-long relationship and didn’t want to rush into things. According to the lead dude that makes her a monster. And the script agrees! She has to run after him and apologize! She was going to do that!
But ION, my favorite disaster channel, prevented us from seeing that happen. For all we know, the lead dude got hit by seven cars Meet Joe Black style and died. Then the female lead found someone better and nicer whenever she was ready. A dude with solid ass shoulders and an understanding that women don’t owe anyone shit for being nice to them. That’s my personal ending of Christmas Matchmaker, and I will never be proven wrong about it. Because I’m not tuning in next weekend to see the real ending. I trust all of you to do the same.
Watch If: You find The Great Gatsby inspiring, if you own so many TVs that you don’t even watch or if you still care about The Great American Novel.
Skip If: You’re a part of the building community, if you go for walks around the city or if you are a writer who can not tell when people are interested in other people.
Final Rating:  ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆

Apple Products May Get Pricier With New 15 Percent US Tariff on Chinese Products
Some Apple products like AirPods, Apple Watch, HomePod, and iMac computers were likely to get costlier as the new 15 percent US tariffs on Chinese products came into effect from Sunday.
Apple has its products assembled by Foxconn and other ODMs in China.
“For products covered by Annex A of the August 20, 2019 notice (84 FR 43304), the rate of additional duty will be 15 percent on the current effective date of September 1, 2019. For products covered by Annex C of the August 20 notice, the rate of additional duty will be 15 percent on the current effective date of December 15, 2019,” read the statement from US Federal Register.
Apple iPhone models may also be around $100 (roughly Rs. 7,200) more expensive in the US once the next set of 15 percent tariff comes into place from December 15.
“TVs, speakers, digital cameras, lithium-ion batteries and flash drives are just a few of consumer electronics that will be subjected to a 15 percent tariff beginning Sunday,” reports TechCrunch.
Apple CEO Tim Cook recently told US President Donald Trump that tariffs on China will help South Korean tech giant Samsung gain more as it does not need to pay any tariffs.
Trump, in a conversation with reporters, said he has “had a very good meeting with Cook.”
“I have a lot of respect for Tim Cook, and Tim was talking to me about tariffs. And one of the things, and he made a good case, is that Samsung is their number-one competitor, and Samsung is not paying tariffs because they’re based in South Korea,” Trump recently told the media.
The ongoing trade-war between the US and China has caused Apple’s iPhone production costs to rise as much as 3 percent because of the new retaliatory tariffs imposed by Beijing.
Trump earlier met Cook during a dinner, saying that Apple would be spending “vast sums of money in the US.”
“It’s tough for Apple to pay tariffs if they’re competing with a very good company that’s not. I said, How good a competitor?’ He said they are a very good competitor. So Samsung is not paying tariffs because they’re based in a different location,” said Trump.
Samsung has most of its manufacturing base in South Korea and Vietnam.
“iPhone sales in the US, China and other markets could fall by 8 million to 10 million,” CBS News reported earlier this month. Apple XS Max starts at $1,099 and new 10 percent tariff would mean a roughly $110 hike.
In May, Fortune quoted a Wedbush analyst Dan Ives as telling investors that tariffs on the device’s Chinese-made batteries and other components would increase Apple’s manufacturing cost by 2 to 3 percent.

About this product
Product Information The Canon PowerShot SX60 HS sports one of the longest zoom ranges in any digital camera with a 65x optical zoom that covers the 35mm equivalent of 21-1365mm. Not surprisingly, it has Intelligent Optical Image Stabilizer that chooses from 8 different IS modes. It is built around a 16MP CMOS sensor with a Digic 6 Image Processor, which Canon says yields excellent low-light image quality. The SX60 also captures full 1080/60p HD video in MP4 format; the lens zooms silently and can focus while shooting video footage, and the camera disposes of an external mic jack. Autofocus is said to be greatly improved via High Speed AF, and the camera offers 6.4fps burst rate with no buffer delay. Zoom Framing Assist tracks and captures moving subjects while using the longer telephoto lengths. The camera zooms out so you can find a moving subject, then zooms in quickly to capture it up close. If you’ve ever tried following a moving subject with a long focal length lens, you know this is a great feature. The Canon SX60 has built-in Wi-Fi for iOS and Android devices and NFC wireless connectivity for Android devices only. It has a 3-inch, 922k dot LCD monitor as well as a 922k dot resolution eye-level viewfinder. The sun may be shining but England risk a damp end to glorious sporting summer
The return of this remarkable bright yellow globe in our sky this week caused the loins to falter with a fantasy of the winter of this country of our political dissatisfaction that becomes glorious sporting summer.
My thanks to the Bard for paraphrasing. But not that fast. Gareth Southgate & # 39; s young lions came to another semi-final Cropper, but it was not until the end of the season, this time in the European Nations League earlier this month , we can be guilty of jumping the weapon again.
<img id = "i-4e6b4618d7aa29c7" src = "https://ift.tt/2KJ1H4U image-a-10_1561676735198.jpg "height =" 423 "width =" 634 "alt =" <img id = "i-4e6b4618d7aa29c7" src = "https://ift.tt/2Yb9ewe /28/00/15354184-0-image-a-10_1561676735198.jpg "height =" 423 "width =" 634 "alt =" A convincing victory for England increased the hope of being ahead of the semi-final with the US or France England [1]
A convincing victory for England brought hope for a semi-final with the US or France.
Phil Neville & # 39; s Lionesses did not look as convincing as the men who their world cup quarter-finals went against Norway, although a convincing victory gives hope that they can make the US or France run for their money in the semifinals.
Worse, in these so-called halcyon months of our cherished summer game, the English cricketers waver in the abyss of elimination of a world championship on their own grass pastures.
What would be more to damage the national psyche? Brexit or Crexit?
A defeat against India this Sunday could possibly qualify for the semi-finals from England's own hands.
As if that was not enough pressure, this fight will be fought in Edgbaston, the corner of central England that will be largely inhabited by India's cacophonous supporters.
One from Pakistan, Bangladesh or Sri Lanka will wait to strike if it happens.
Come Wimbledon on Monday, the home champion will appear as a distant mirage.
No Andy Murray – sorry, the doubles don't get the full count in terms of patriotic pride. The rest of the British chaps from species. Mrs. Konta spoiled repeatedly for almost every lady in the top 100.

Come on Roger. Precious bit is still what it said on the can a few weeks ago.
In the midst of the tsunami of expectation of the ladies who came alone, FIFA announced in advance that 20 of the 52 games in France were being sold -outs.
Even President Slippery, Gianni Infantino, could get away with it, the TV channels struggled in vain to keep empty seats from the camera. games. They include the two semi-finals and the final, all of which will be played in Lyon.
And so far, only two countries have played full houses – France the hosts and the US the holders.
Despite all the lion's share before the lions' tournaments and claims of stuffed support, England's opening win against Scotland drew only 13,189 spectators to the 35,000 capacity Stade de Nice. With 36 percent, this is the lowest occupancy rate to date.
Manager Neville himself admitted that around his base on the Cote d & # 39; Azur & # 39; you would hardly know & # 39; a World Cup takes place.
The turnout was expected to look plentiful for the final quarter of the 25,181 Stade Ocean capacity in Le Havre.
The final stages in Lyon will give a much more respectable face, but the previous hysteria applied to false and unnecessary shine to the female game.

Instead, it continues to expose itself to unwise comparisons.
To name just one example, the authorities hurried to tell us that American star Alex Morgan has now reached 6.5 million Instagram followers, with Brazil's icon Marta on 2.5 millimeters ion. The leading girl of England, Toni Duggan, is just outside the top 20 of the World Cup at 330,000.
All strong indicators of rising interest but figures that fade when devotees of Cristiano Ronaldo quickly point out that he is now the most
Women's football has reached the attractive and distinctive point where it should march to be own drummer, not obsessed with following in the men's footsteps.
The World Cup cricket has none of those problems with the rise. It is the English team that must get their act back together. And soon.
Another bottling lane and the storm clouds will gather.

Pro and college football games dominate the TV ratings
LOS ANGELES — While political battles raged, viewers overwhelmingly cast their TV votes for football.
Eight of the 10 most popular telecasts last week were NFL and college games or related programs, according to Nielsen ratings released Tuesday.
NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” Green Bay-New England contest was the top-rated NFL game of the season on any channel, the network said. More than 23 million viewers saw the England Patriots’ 31-17 victory over the Packers.
CBS was the No. 1 network among all viewers last week, powered by the Alabama-LSU game and the Crimson Tide’s 29-0 victory over the Tigers. The prime-time match-up drew 11.5 million viewers.
A pair of top 10 series, “The Big Bang Theory” and “NCIS,” also helped boost CBS, which ranks as the most-watched network for the season so far and the leader for the last 10 consecutive seasons.
But NBC is only about 230,000 viewers behind, the closest the peacock network has been to CBS at this point since 2001. It went on to win the 2001-02 season with series including “Friends” and “ER” and the Winter Olympics.
CBS earned last week’s top spot with a prime-time average of 8.02 million viewers. NBC had 7.83 million viewers, ABC had 4.28 million, Fox had 5.52 million, Univision had 1.37 million, Telemundo had 1.23 million, ION Television had 1.17 million and the CW had 990,000.
ESPN was the week’s most popular cable network, averaging 2.54 million viewers in prime time. Fox News Channel had 2.47 million viewers, MSNBC had 1.85 million, Hallmark had 1.81 million and USA had 1.19 million.
ABC’s “World News Now” topped the evening newscasts with an average of 8.28 million viewers. NBC’s “Nightly News” had 8.06 million and the “CBS Evening News” had 6.06 million.
For the week of Oct. 29-Nov. 4, the top 10 shows, their networks and viewerships: “NFL Sunday Night Football: Green Bay at New England,” NBC, 23.68 million; “NFL Sunday Post Game,” Fox, 17.8 million; “Sunday Night NFL Pre-Kickoff,” NBC, 17.4 million; “The Big Bang Theory,” CBS, 12.65 million; “NCIS,” CBS, 12.3 million; “The OT,” Fox, 12.1 million; “Football Night in America,” NBC, 11.7 million; “Home Depot Prime College Football: Alabama at LSU,” CBS, 11.5 million; “Fox Thursday Night Football: Oakland at San Francisco,” Fox, 11.1 million; “NFL Regular Season: New England at Buffalo,” ESPN, 11.07 million.

Just when you thought it was safe to relax, for no further new TV shows were coming to humbly request your eyeballs, The CW decided to start premiering most of its shows this week.
The tiny network — home to some of TV’s best shows, like Jane the Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend — traditionally waits for October to debut its series, where they can premiere slightly outside of the biggest crush of fall TV season. But with the network expanding to Sunday nights for the first time this fall, it’s got more new series to flaunt than usual, to say nothing of all of its returning shows.
Thus, this week, we offer thoughts on The CW’s new high school drama All American, as well as its reboot of the venerable witch show Charmed. Finally, we have thoughts on HBO’s new series from Girls producers Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner, Camping, which also marks Jennifer Garner’s return to TV.
Few of these shows are great, and as critics, we often have limited information on whether they’ll get better. (It’s rare to impossible for broadcast networks, especially, to send out many episodes for review beyond the first couple.) But there’s something in all of these shows worth checking out, especially if you’re a particular fan of their genres.
(A note: We’ve only given ratings to shows where we feel we’ve seen enough episodes to judge how successful they will be long-term.)

Who doesn’t like a teen drama about a boy from an underprivileged background getting a hand up into the world of the rich and comfortable? It’s been the story of many, many teen soaps over the years, but perhaps most famously on The O.C., where Chino-born Ryan Atwood found himself suddenly living among the spoiled and pampered denizens of Orange County.
The CW’s new series All American takes that format and mixes it with Friday Night Lights for one of the strongest new dramas of the fall. It has its rough edges, but there’s something hard to beat about a good-hearted kid discovering the excesses of money and power, while those who have the money and power discover just how much they have in common with the new kid.
At the center of All American is Spencer (winning British newcomer Daniel Ezra), a football star at South LA’s public Crenshaw High. Spencer is black, and he comes from a majority-black neighborhood. (He’s also based on the real NFL player Spencer Paysinger.) When a coach for a Beverly Hills high school — played by Taye Diggs, who I never thought would make a great Coach Taylor but makes a great Coach Taylor — turns up to offer Spencer a chance at a role on a higher-profile team, Spencer worries about betraying his community before eventually realizing going to Beverly Hills could cement his future.
You can sort of see where this is going from there, but creator April Blair shows a refreshing willingness to keep the story moving throughout the first three episodes, unveiling a healthy dollop of plot twists and soapiness, while also giving her characters a whole lot of heart. Indeed, the twist at the end of the pilot takes the show from “pretty good” to “something I’ll give at least a season to figure itself out.”
There are issues here and there (the ensemble is perhaps a little too large for a show this young, and there’s way too much music to drive every emotional point home), but All American is an intriguing stew of teen soap tastes that taste great together. —Todd VanDerWerff
All American debuted Wednesday, October 10, on The CW and is available on the network’s website. Future episodes air Wednesdays at 9 pm on The CW.

For whatever reason, The CW’s new spin on Charmed has been embroiled in controversy over its status as a reboot starring brand new actors, rather than a revival starring the show’s original cast. And, sure, the original series has die-hard fans, and in a climate where seemingly every other popular show from the ’90s is being revived just as it was back then, it’s not hard to imagine a world where that happened with Charmed, too.
But if those disgruntled Charmed fans tune in to the new version, they’re likely to find a show that, despite a pilot that’s a bit of a mess, has the right elements in place to become just as fun as that earlier series (if not more fun — that original show could be a bit of a mess itself). Most importantly, Jessica O’Toole, Amy Rardin, and Jennie Snyder Urman (of Jane the Virgin fame), who developed this new Charmed, have nailed the single most important element of the show: the casting.
To make a show about three sisters who are witches — and so much more powerful when together than when apart — you really need three actors who simultaneously exude raw supernatural power and a sisterhood that feels real, not assembled right before shooting the pilot. (Even if you know that’s what happened.) And Madeleine Mantock, Melonie Diaz, and Sarah Jeffery absolutely seem like sisters, with all the attendant benefits and baggage that relationship carries.
Plus, revamping this show to be about a Latina family offers a subtly powerful twist on the idea of those without traditional political power having untapped reserves of raw power. The pilot could do more with this idea (and the series hopefully will), but at least the sisters never feel like they’ve been made Latina to score empty diversity points.
The pilot gets stuck trying to do too much, establishing the sisters’ powers and setting up a longer mystery about an unsolved murder and offering up a #MeToo metaphor as its monster of the week. But with this cast (including a very game Rupert Friend as guardian angel Harry) and smart writers behind the scenes, Charmed will hopefully find itself very quickly. —TV
Charmed debuts Sunday, October 14, at 9 pm Eastern on The CW.

Watching the four episodes of Camping that were sent out for review, I couldn’t help but think of another recent HBO series: Vice Principals. The shape of that series wasn’t immediately apparent in the first couple of episodes, and what it ended up being was vastly different from (and better than) what its beginning suggested. It rewarded the viewer for watching through to the end.
It seems as though Camping might fit a similar bill, though I would hesitate to presume that it’ll pull off the same gambit. Created by Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner, and adapted from the British series of the same name, Camping doesn’t really make any progress in the first half of its season.
The reasons to watch are apparent from the start: The cast is absolutely stacked, with Jennifer Garner simultaneously playing to type and against type as Kathryn, who works day in and day out to make her life as flawless and meticulously ordered as her Instagram account. David Tennant is perfectly cast as her husband, Walt; he’s as easygoing as Kathryn is wound-up, as embodied by his lankiness and penchant for bucket hats.
Filling out the rest of the group of friends (just imagine quotation marks around the word) out camping in celebration of Walt’s 45th birthday, there’s Ione Skye, Chris Sullivan, Janicza Bravo, Brett Gelman, Arturo Del Puerto, Juliette Lewis — there’s not a weak performance in the bunch.
Unfortunately, that’s not quite enough. By the season’s halfway point, Camping seems to be fixated on showcasing people behaving badly — whether on their own or due to outside influence — without necessarily having a larger point to make. It’s thin ice for any series to skate on, but even more so when a series asks its audience to invest in characters written to be annoying or self-involved. These people are poison to each other — why keep watching them?
A few moments shine — again, the cast is terrific, and manages to find bits of truthfulness in the way these characters tear at each other — but without a firm sense of plot or structure to keep it all together, the show falters. —Karen Han
Camping debuts Sunday, October 14, at 10 pm Eastern on HBO.
As mentioned, basically everything on The CW is back this week. (Some shows — notably Jane the Virgin — are being held for midseason, of course.) That includes the final season of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (Friday at 8 pm), which kicks off with a bang, as Rebecca Bunch finds herself in prison. A happy ending to this saga might seem a stretch at this point, but we’d settle for a “mostly okay” ending, honestly.
If you love streaming shows, this is a hectic week, too. Netflix brings the terrific new cooking docu-series Salt Fat Acid Heat (Thursday), based on the book of the same name, and the superbly spooky Haunting of Hill House (Friday). Amazon, meanwhile, launches the first season of Mad Men creator Matt Weiner’s The Romanoffs (also Friday), while the new streaming service DC Universe unveils the gritty Teen Titans reboot Titans (whaddaya know, it’s debuting on Friday). We’ll have full reviews of some of these in the days to come.
If you’re a fan of podcast hosts, HBO launches its TV version of Pod Save America (Friday at 11 pm) and ABC launches The Alec Baldwin Show (Sunday at 10 pm), should you require a TV version of something originally designed to appeal to your earballs.
Finally, if you’re me (Todd), then the only thing you care about is adult swim’s Harvey Birdman: Attorney General (Monday at midnight), a brand new special reuniting the voice cast of the original Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law, one of the great, silly spoofs of the 2000s. Sing it with me now! Whooooooo is the man in the suit? Whooooooo is the cat with the be-eak!

LOS ANGELES | 'America's Got Talent,' Notre Dame football top ratings
LOS ANGELES — TV viewers are idling away the final weeks of summer the way they started it: with reality programs.
Half of last week’s 20 most-watched programs were unscripted contests, according to Nielsen Co. figures released Wednesday. The field was topped by NBC’s two episodes of “America’s Got Talent” and the Notre Dame-Michigan football game, helping make the network the most-watched for the ninth consecutive week.
Notre Dame’s prime-time 24-17 victory drew the team’s biggest audience on NBC in 13 years, since a game against University of Southern California in 2005.
Amid a somber week of tributes to the late Sen. John McCain, a rerun of “Saturday Night Live” provided a reminder of the politician’s trademark humor. The episode featuring him as host gave the show its biggest audience in six weeks, NBC said.
NBC won the week in prime-time with an average of 5.1 million viewers. CBS had 3.5 million viewers, ABC had 3.7 million, Fox had 1.7 million, ION Television had 1.4 million, Univision had 1.18 million, Telemundo had 1.17 million and the CW had 780,000.
Fox News Channel led the cable networks with an average of 2.2 million viewers. MSNBC had 1.8 million, USA had 1.36 million, HGTV had 1.3 million, ESPN had 1.2 million, History had 1.06 million and CNN had 1.05 million.
ABC’s “World News Tonight” topped the evening newscasts with an average of 8.2 million viewers. The “NBC Nightly News” had 8.1 million and the “CBS Evening News” had 5.8 million.
For the week of Aug. 27-Sept. 2, the top 10 shows, their networks and viewerships: “America’s Got Talent” (Tuesday), NBC, 10.78 million; “America’s Got Talent” (Wednesday), NBC, 9.9 million; Notre Dame Football: Michigan at Notre Dame, NBC, 7.1 million; “Sunday Night Kickoff,” ABC, 6.55 million; “American Ninja Warrior,” NBC, 5.86 million; “60 Minutes,” CBS, 5.84 million; “Big Brother” (Wednesday), CBS, 5.78 million; “NCIS,” CBS, 5.74 million; “World of Dance,” NBC, 5.06 million; “Dateline Classic,” NBC, 4.93 million. ___ ABC is owned by The Walt Disney Co. CBS is owned by CBS Corp. CW is a joint venture of Warner Bros. Entertainment and CBS Corp. Fox is owned by 21st Century Fox. NBC and Telemundo are owned by Comcast Corp. ION Television is owned by ION Media Networks.

Trump, in a conversation with reporters, said he has “had a very good meeting with Cook.” “I have a lot of respect for Tim Cook, and Tim was talking to me about tariffs. Trump earlier met Cook during a dinner, saying that Apple would be spending “vast sums of money in the US.” “It’s tough for Apple to pay tariffs if they’re competing with a very good company that’s not. Hoverboard Battery Explodes in Tri-Cities Badly Burning Over 50% of Unsuspecting Victim’s Body
On April 16th 2017 early Sunday morning a hoverboard battery exploded in the Tri-Cities WA area. A man who is yet unnamed was the unfortunate victim of this terrible explosion. It happend as he was changing the battery in the scooter device. The man sustained sever burn injuries covering over 50% of his body. We have no word on his current condition.
The NBC editorial found here covering this story was once again lacking in many key important elements about the incident. NBC opted instead to re-hash the same old  sensationalized bad inaccurate reporting style of many others in the past. The way this was reported on is disgraceful to say the least, and a dis-service to the public.
For example they fail to say which brand or company the board was from. They fail to mention if the battery came with the device, or if it was purchased separately from somewhere else. They fail to mention if the scooter was UL 2272 certified. In other words they failed to mention even one thing that consumers needed to know to prevent it from happening again. They mentioned to buy scooters that meet “government standards” but failed to mention what those are or how to find out. And worst of all instead of accurately reporting WHY this hoverboard exploded NBC crafted the story to make it seem like all hoverboards are dangerous and will explode. Nothing could be farther from the truth and they should be ashamed for distorting the truth in this way once again.
NBC Reporters on TV Talking About the Tri-Cities Hoverboard Explosion
Stories like this NBC report mentioned above are not intended to give people actionable accurate information that  people can use to protect themselves. They are just capitalizing on an unfortunate incident to get more ratings. As we mentioned many times before there are devices that explode on a regular basis for ANY type of electronic product that uses lithium ion batteries. Virtually all battery powered electronics use lithium ion batteries. This includes cell phones, lap tops, watches, and the recent electronic cigarettes craze. With any type of electronic product there are cheap dangerous knock offs. And then there are high quality well made products that will not explode if they are cared for and treated properly. So to single out hoverboards as being more dangerous than other electronics is simply not true. It is not the type of product that is more dangerous. It is who makes that product and what kind of parts they use to make it.
Chances are high that the Tri-Cities hoverboard that exploded was not a tested and certified UL 2272 hoverboard. It was probably made of cheap parts from China and should not have been allowed to be sold in the first place.
Similar Dangerous Hoverbaords Are Still Being Sold
Despite all the hoverboard explosions and fires since 2015 there is  somehow still a very large amount of scooter products on market that are untested and dangerous hoverboard brands. These are being sold all over the world (and especially in the US).
We also noticed a disturbing trend of many scooter companies selling a select number of UL 2272 certified hoverboards mixed in with non-certified products. This can confuse consumers to trust that all the products from te company are UL 2272 certified. As a consumer you need to be aware of these facts and stay away from these types of products. DO NOT BUY A HOVERBOARD THAT IS NOT UL 2272 CERTIFIED! Check our article here on how to tell if the certification claim is real.
This is one of the reasons we created Hoverboards Electric review website. It is to help people avoid dangerous cheap scooters, of which there are many. The 2 wheel standing scooters we promote are all tested and UL certified because we see reports of this all the time. We don’t want the same thing to happen to you or your family.
This is a story we keep seeing over and over again like a broken record playing. Some people never learn and don’t take advice about the dangers of cheap hoverboards that are not UL 2272 certified.
Or worse still unethical companies continue getting away with selling uncertified hoverboards that use cheap dangerous parts. Please see our extensive explanation on why hoverboards are catching fire exploding found here.
Don’t Shop For the Cheapest Scooter
So if are you someone who is always looking to the cheapest priced product and you want to buy the cheapest hoverboard STOP NOW! A hoverboard is not an item where you should be looking for the cheapest price.
Low priced hoverboards are almost certainly made of substandard batteries and parts that will eventually fail, potentially with catastrophic consequences. We urge you to do yourself a huge favor and look for reasonably priced well tested scooters that have proven safety certification.
Throw Your Dangerous Hoverboards in the Garbage
If you have already bought a hoverboard that is not UL 2272 certified we strongly urge you to throw it in the garbage right now. DO NOT try to sell it on Craigslist or Ebay. Do not try to give it away. Doing so is putting other people’s lives and property at risk. Many people are reselling their old hoverboards and those are exploding with the new owners. Properly dispose of it at your local refuse center for recycling of the battery and electronics. Please do not throw the battery directly in your home garbage because the chemicals from the batteries will leak out into the ground and pollute the surrounding area.
