all the companions are bi/pan CRY ABOUT IT, however out of all the narratives, wyll’s narrative to me is the one that plays the most with sexual and gender “roleplaying.”

wyll comes at u and tells u his dnd character is human warrior, male. this is a persona he made up to cope with the fact he has an abusive, negligent “guardian”—whose dark magic he was always probably drawn to. (mizora rip bastard shes not dead but i wish she was Gone And Not Here)

his farher is might makes right, the baldurian tav can call the flaming fist a bunch of arseholes and blowhards. his father expects ten hundred percent from him. and when wyll is drawn to “darkness”, hes scared n punished for it to the point hes kicked out of the city he sold his soul to save

darkness in fiction is almost always evil. but thats not really true. and even in bg3 where killing all goblins is “righteous”—halsin says there are things in this world outside the boundaries of what we know. darkness, especially when writing and interacting with characters of color—is natural, good, a birthright

and the devil and sin? that which we are taught to be tempted by, and “owned” and “damned” by? are things that belong to US as queer people to reclaim the power of no-rules no-protestant limits of sexuality and gender under oppressive ideologies and gods which seek to harm our authentic, fucked up selves, in all the right and wrong and HUMAN ways

wyll’s father is ashamed of him for being queer, and soft. (metaphorically)

wyll is unique in his transness in that his father didn’t care what gender he was, as long as he was SUCCESSFUL, and worked IMPOSSIBLY HARD, and was perfect and stone tough in all ways.

seeing his son tempted—first by fantasy, then magic, then demons, was too much to bear.

the BLADE and “heroism” is a safe way to “couch” temptations, violence, vanity, pride, joy in temptation, and also his need for love and attention for his “goodness”, all things he was not allowed to have.

if he’s good—if he’s “one of the good ones” maybe his father will forgive him. maybe he can still be loved. maybe hes not as much of a monster as he feels he is.

in another world, perhaps, he can identify in every shade and saturation, every color of the rainbow, every light, dark, sunrise, twilight and shadow. he can be devil and angel alike and all exist in one brave, strong, true, authentic, heart

but the game doesnt allow that, makes u fill in the blanks of this lonely teenager banished, to sad adult “hero”, who still feels unworthy. even when he saves his father in a way his father would never save him

since i have not played en/gage i dont know that much about alear to make proper connections to the whole divine dragon thing but going thru the conversations chrom did state that divine dragon is a name shared among different realms for different figures.

i would like once again tell everyone that chrom is super friendly but not with that serious ready to stab you face. it is a running gag from other franchises and im glad they started to pick on this and use it. tbh i like this part of chrom. he looks unapproachable but then he opens his mouth (and smiles at you) and you wonder how a blue muffin can have that serious face.

oooh this. thiiiiis. honestly i will say this over and over that chrom was not given the proper time to grieve for his sister in the game; from battle to battle and then rushed back to the castle to assume his duties as ylisse representative--not exalt, but representative in respect to his sister. chrom knows how it is important to properly grieve. for chrom, he was lucky to have the people around him. lissa is an important part not mentioned a lot and u can tell in the spa convo when lissa told emmeryn that when she cam back, chrom 'finally cried' ... sigh. anyway.

this is cute tbh. chrom is not the guy to judge you for your fears even if they dont make sense, he knows to each their 'weakness'. chrom got his own weaknesses so he cannot act like he is better than anyone. MINUS IF YOU ARE LUCINA AND MORGAN FIGHTING A COCKROACH AND YELLING LIKE THEY WERE HOUNDED BY RISENS!!! this is probably my favorite convo so far?? it has a core, a problem the character is concerned about, chrom is not being goofy and actually gives out advice; shares his experience. even before watching the whole thing this convo made me pause, rewatch it again and nod along. it's this moment i feel like chrom has a little brother he wants to impart his knowledge of what is like being a ruler.aaaaaaaaa it is precious. i love certain words linked to chrom like freedom. he was free to pursue what he want; learn what he want, travel, and form the shepherds ... Emmeryn gave him this freedom to be himself--to discover himself. he wants everyone to have this freedom, too. sigh... i could go over this in a long article but lets keep things simple. if u wanna more stuff check the headcanon page for the shepherds' meta hc.

ONF UNIVERSITY AU

A/n : ok this is just the first (?) elaboration of the au. This is also meshed with senpai au. I actually already had a few moodboards (Yuto and Minseok ones) and a senpai AU of Seungjoon that opened up the idea, its just i did not have the time and luxury to expand the au. Another reason was that timing i am still learning about ONF so I don't want to go too OOC on things I am not familiar with.

To keep it short, the boys actually formed a dance club and they named themselves ONF

I do said dance club but if you wanna utilise it like F4 from meteor garden, it totally flexible

Also totally doable if you wanna use the university au as the main worldbuilding for other AU, examples, Sibling AU, or any BF headcanons I have mentioned like the MTL for PDA. MTL to confess and MTL to leave hickies, so do check out masterlist (that is constantly updating )

Also, even though it might retcon some setting I have already done, but it is totally doable for University AU to be the prequel for Office AU.

OH HEADS UP, FOR THIS AU I AM ALTERING THEIR AGE. Their real life age difference are about 4-5 years which is unrealistic to fit for the au, so shrink age difference to 1-2 years.

Even if Seungjoon drags him to library to do assignments . HYOJIN DEFO GONNA MAKE EXCUSE TO BUY BEVERAGE FOR THE 2 OF THEM AND SNEAKS OUT FOR A SHORT WHILE.

The type that try his best on getting good results on every class. But he never brags about it.

Should we give him a senpai au plot, I would write him as the senpai you have a crush on since high school and you did not know he attend the same university as you.

Changyoon : Design student for sure😉 Interior design, graphic design or even fashion design. Oh! Film Director also not bad? (I mean he has loads of ideas and thoughts also let's not forget about Incomplete MV)

Ppl which are not in their circles would be like, "how did you even get along with the others?" Because his majors are very different compared to the other 6

Hmm I do feel it is more like Changyoon did not make the first move to join the group. Probably the Capricorns/ENFPS (Seungjoon or Jaeyoung)

So maybe he kinda drop by to a short marketing class so that he can gain insight on how advertisements film can grasp audience heart. There he either met Hyojin or Seungjoon (maybe both) ,then only the bond gets deeper

After knowing each other he finally comfortable to be himself and does not feel awkward anymore...

Seungjoon : Could go for science genre or maybe business administration? Also anything related with mathematics(that need flexible solving) might suit him too

Might occasionally appear in the library. Not really searching for books to read,more on giving himself the environment to complete assignments. But visits bookstore too

Maybe, the most social-able being in the group. Constantly waving or say hi to acquaintance/classmates passing by. Even though that, there are never rumours or scandals of Seungjoon being playboy. (But totally the first one in the group to get a GF, hint established in his senpai au)

Linking to the tutor AU I posted recently, he might be teaching online to gain extra income because he does not want to do part time job to exhaust himself as he want to reserve energy to dance. Which also the main factor he suggested Yuto to do online teaching later

Minkyun : Musical student but focusing on composing. To jump from stereotypes, he could be going to broadcast communications, to become professional radio DJ

He might also join another club which is established by uni it self to make radio broadcast that plays at the cafeteria.

Cues in other members all recognise his voice immediately. Lol if he qccidentally messed up on some wordings, the next time they meet they are gonna tease him for sure haha

OK this applies to all of them but I only remembered to include this during writing for Minkyun, the boys are totally banned from playing any games at the cafeteria lol (not a strict ban but they are loud lol.) So they changed plans to play game and hangout at home, with Yuto coming over to sleep over.

Yuto : the exchange student / the foreign student who is majoring in Korean language. High chance going for Korean language teaching later.

Once they knew Yuto's Korean Proficiency level are above average, the boys are supportive and proud of him af. Lol also his devilish hyungs teasing him that he should get a girlfriend, it is a way to master language lol

Cues in his hyungs helping him out by giving him small tests of Korean grammar

Could be the only one who lives in university dorms. But he gets to have sleepovers with his hyungs at their house during weekends (rent or family residence,up to you)

Even encourages him to try out online teaching beginners first to gain experiences

Probably feeling sadden the most when found out Minseok had to quit university. Also could not help feeling lonely when his hyungs graduated. (Some did extend studies but some did not. My hunch, Minkyun and Chang Yoon could be the first two to graduated first. Jaeyoung and Yuto being the last two to graduate)

Minseok : a junior who studies history and choosing Japanese + Chinese as sub majors. Who knows, he might choose translating/interpreting as major later (I mean have you seen some interviews where he used Japanese and Chinese, damn his pronunciation is good, trust me cos i speak both language)

Did not get to stay long, maybe just 1 year and a half then he had to quit university because his whole family are moving out from the country (no worries they contact each other online frequently). His hyungs defo doing a farewell party for him.

Even though short time, but he gained the title of university sweetheart by the first day he starts uni. 

Same as Seungjoon and Jaeyoung, the type to find him in library alot.

Of course gonna ask Yuto a lot of Japanese grammar questions

I'm really interested in the Simon Keyes/Godot ship thing. Like, what kind of dynamic and interactions do you think they'd have? I'm super curious to hear you talk about this neat ship, I hadn't really thought much about ships with either of them let alone them together before seeing your art, but now I'm curious

Aaah I’m really happy you’re asking that ! 

Well, I guess, this is going to be messy but here’s my thoughts about them. This will NOT be spoiler free !

First thing to say, I imagine them meeting in jail. They get jailed the same year (2019), a few months apart. 

I tend to hc Godot as having a strong protective instinct. I think it was already present before the coma, but after that, it became his reason for living (he does say that he had two reasons for living, one seeing that Phœnix is actually carrying Mia’s legacy, and second protect Maya), and it’s implied that once he checked/did those two things, he has no reason left to live. So in my aus and scenarios, I tend to have him find someone else to live for as a way for living, someone to protect and to feel useful for (I’m among the persons who think he truly cared for Maya and has a genuine protective instinct).

Simon, when he gets in jail, is in an interesting position. We don’t know how he could act, because his whole character is built around his trauma and his particular situation of having ran and hid all his life to escape Blaise, Rolland, and the president’s body double. At the end of aai2, Simon got his revenge on his father and Horace (no matter how sad and petty this one was), and freed himself from that on-going life-threatening situation by having the people involved either killed or convicted. So now what ? Would he maintain his cute and innocent persona there ? get more like his “true self” ? I tend to hc his true self to be more than just the mastermind persona, but the moments where he recalls his trauma, or when DeKiller tries to kill him.

I tend to think he would play less on the “cute” card unless he has someone he feels he can manipulate to get more comfort in jail, and would be more in his mastermind persona, but more tired and wore down, maybe a bit more sensitive as he’s trying to adjust to his new life which is neither full freedom or death. (I should also precise that I hc he managed to manipulate people at his trial so he would escape death penalty + the fact that it couldn’t be proved he pushed people to murder).

I tend to think that they would meet through Dogen (I hc that Diego couldn’t keep his mask in jail, and probably was informed there was another blind prisoner in the jail. I have some funny interactions in mind but it will be for another post).

Anyway, Simon would probably quickly read Diego’s protective instinct and would try to play on it to get protection in jail + other benefits, knowing he was a defense attorney and a prosecutor. But Godot isn’t fooled by Simon’s act, just like he wasn’t by “Melissa Foster”’s. Yet, he does fully see through Simon’s act, and feel there’s much more to it than just Simon being a little shit. So he starts getting protective of him, but not in the way that Simon expected him to be.

Basically, Diego starts to get Simon to open up, be more truthful to himself, but also to try and trust others. It’s a long and chaotic road, but little by little, I like to imagine Simon managing to improve. To get over some trauma, at least a little bit. To process all that happened. But doing this is scary and emotionally charged because he’s been bottling up so much during all these years, that’s why I tend to hc him to have sometimes violent ourtburts like I already drawn when it gets too much. But Godot isn’t scared of him. 

on the other hand, Simon starts to understand Diego. At first he really thinks that since he’s seen through him, he’s just acting protective to get something out of Simon. It’s only later that he realizes Diego is genuinely interested in him and looking for a reason to live. Diego becomes a curiosity to Simon. I also find it interesting, for someone like him whose storyline revolves around his father failing to protect him from other adults, to have an older man be protective of him and genuinely like him.

It’s hard to recollect everything I can have thought about them and to summarize it because I often have snippets and worry my characterization of them is super OOC ^^’’

I can imagine them being pretty chaotic at first, and their relationship being sometimes unhealthy. But I think this is a relationship that has the potential for growth, and both characters can improve themselves and seeing them doing it together would be great. I see them both as extremely broken, and I always find it interesting to imagine how they could support each other and find something in the other that makes life a little less horrible, a little more worth living. They both lost someone dear to them, whether they are responsible for it or feel responsible for it, and they both ended up killing people due to their trauma.

I also feel they share some similarities in their trauma, mostly loneliness and near-death experience. They had everything taken from them and had to deal with it alone. Simon couldn’t trust anyone, Diego had no one waiting for him when he woke up. I think it’s really underlined at the end of aai2, where they make a point that when you are surrounded by the right people, it’s “easier” to get over trauma, to not automatically seek revenge, and how that support system is what Simon lacked. I think the same can be said of Godot. 

I love the idea of Simon finally opening to Diego and risking himself at trust, and Diego doing his best not to disappoint. I love the idea of Simon telling Diego that he might have not been there to protect Mia but at least he didn’t push someone to murder her. Listening to Diego talk about her and wondering how he could go from someone like her to someone like him. I tend to think that Diego would get out of jail earlier than Simon, and would go to Edgeworth to become a prosecutor again (Edgeworth manages to do that by pointing out the contradiction between social re-insertion of ex-prisoners but barring Diego from a job he’s very qualified for), probably under some conditions (must report everything to the chief prosecutor aka Edgeworth, frequent meetings with the PIC to check on his actions, etc.). And he works to get Simon early parole, which is a surprise to Simon. From the moment Diego left the prison, Simon was convinced anything that happened between those walls didn’t count anymore and that Godot would just turn back to his normal life and forget about the mess of a person that is Simon Keyes. So when Godot actually keep his promise, and come back to him, and offers him a home and finally a chance at a normal life, without fear, it moves him. Maybe Godot even managed to get him Money back (shh i hc that Simon still really liked Money). 

Also, I have a soft spot for Diego being a father to Pearl (either adoptive, or as her biological father with Mia (I once wrote a theory post about it)) and I love the idea of Simon being disturbed by seeing Diego, even while being in jail, doing his best to be a good father to Pearl when his own couldn’t even be bothered to check on him when he was free. 

And I think I’m going to stop there because this post is already getting too long and is a mess, I’m not even sure any of this makes sense ^^’’’ Thanks for asking this question and I hope this can give you a little bit of insight, even though I’m sure I forgot a lot of things.

I think wyll can't cook. Hes like im an expert on the grill. But hes twenty four/five and has lived either in a mansion getting all his fancy meals cooked for him OR on the road and in literal hell. I know wyll burns that thing nine times out of ten and says it adds flavor. Its rustic. It's charming. U know it's not raw, so it's safe. U want salmonella go get gale to cook for you. This is perfectly crispy. It would taste better if you didn't get the meat and cheese from a barrel u found with moldy carrots in it. Maybe u should try actually buying from a reputable vendor instead of picking up ur produce in a cave filled with murderers. Drink more ale/wine. Makes it taste better. Pairs beautifully.

He bites into the food, which he is used to, bc he has had to cook for himself for eight years now. And he's like. Oh no. I want gales food. (And conversely, he's thinking about how much he loves being a part of a band of heroes instead of being solo. As other people bring skills to the table. Do u see what I did there)

THE SPECIFIC LORE OF THE BLADE OF THE FRONTIERS / RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN WYLL AND FAERUN, WHAT YOUR MUSE WOULD HAVE HEARD OF WYLL.

by default, unless your muse just does not give a shit about the happenings in the last seven years, your muse would have probably heard of a heroic “arcane knight” who frequents the hells to fight “evil” devils and monsters—but also goes town to town, place to place, fighting bandits, cultists and monsters (and yes, whoever mizora asks him to, sometimes innocents he allows himself to be fooled into thinking are guilty), and proctectinf women, children, people of marginalized fantasy races (besides goblins and devils), refugees, and the poor. he is a proper folk hero, and people HAVE heard of him all over the coasts, and he is known for storm and sword powers, as well as his charisma in telling tales of the hells.

but more importantly, no one, save the people wyll knows personally and has interacted with before AND after his banishment, know wyll ravengard, banished prince, is THE BLADE OF THE FRONTIERS. wyll has not been back to baldur’s gate since his father exiled him, some of the nobles never leave it. the blade and the banished son are known as names and rumors/legends all over faerun, but very few people know the two are one and the same, and wyll will dodge the question if asked. wylls father has also not told anyone about the pact, save his closest confidants.

in general, wyll never asks for payment, but is happy to take it when others insist. he buys fine things sparsely with his money, packs light, has few personal keepsakes, buys books and gifts them to libraries or sells them to shops when he is done with them. he keeps a journal full of poetry, and a seperate full of his adventures, and a third a book of spells and “progress” with his powers, and the further “gifts” he recieves from mizora.

mostly, people seem to be wary of him even before the horns, so they don’t ask too many questions until the job is done and their lives are saved—and even then theyre always content with not tall tales, but true tales enlarged, and news of other towns, over free drink and board.

wyll does not travel with others, though he sometimes makes friends on “missions.” he does not check in on them often—but they always have a blade by their side for missions of their own—though very rarely leisure.

wyll is something of a “workaholic” when he’s not celebrating his victories. he always goes the extra mile, theres always showmanship and flourishes, he genuinely lives to fight for others and be recognized for his goodness. which is what he deserves tbh he just saved ur life!!

wyll takes his job helping ppl by fighting monsters and devils very seriously, and he knows the blade thing isnt THAT serious, but wyll loves to have fun and keep things light and cheery even when hes suffering. the blade makes him confident and proud, and it gives his ferocity and impulses for violence and vanity and gratification meaningful and fun, even when they scare him

a part of wylls thing is in many ways hes a generic adventurer in temperament. like, he is swishy and gay and poetic and he can talk his way out of things and he makes a good love interest and a better player character. like balduran, he seems “pure good,” the heart and hope and pride of the gate. he keeps it light and smiley and soft, but his heroes and his upbringing are full of lies, and so is he.

in general i believe wylls stats and proficiencies were much higher pre-tadpole, a level 15 at least. hes lost some points!

wyll has saved many ppl, and pre-game, he is actually quite known in the hells as well as a pesky demon-like human. untouchable bc of his powerful pact. but also? a huge asshole? who makes them so so mad? they think this dude must be insane fr. how is some human gonna come here asking for another devil without making a deal, the damn nerve!!!

I should say this but wyll is bisexual and non-binary and 25 years old and he is undergoing a third puberty in a devils tastes and desires and also shame and wanting power and to feel attractive and loved despite not recognizing his own DNA or his face in the one eye that actually belongs to him (and he already wanted those things but now they're bursting from his seams, theyre underneath his skin, theyre in his bones and sprouting from his head like weeds rooted in every fiber of his flesh, he cannot pretend anymore, to be perfect the way his Father wanted him to be, and if he is a hero, it is one with horns forged in hellfire and the sins and sacrifices of his soul and that is his truth, that his blade does not always strike true, it strikes like a forked tongue and a devil's pact.)

So he WILL flirt with ur muse, probably, and want their attention and to murder people by ur side as a pair of HEROES for JUSTICE HUNTING MONSTERS AND EVIL across the sword coast but also he IS soft and he wants to be loved and he wants attention and he wants to know he can be both the knight and the darkness, the princess and the dragon

As DUKE Ravengard, THE HEART of the Gate, Wyll has a few general projects

ONE. Help refugees, spread resources, build housing in rivington

TWO. Important for any astarions: Wyll has Cazador's mansion torn down and replaces it with a giant memorial for all of Cazadors victims. This happens regardless of ascension or not, but notably, if astarion chooses not to ascend, in many places and placards and plaques within the memorial, astarion is referred to as a hero

THREE. Lorrokan is kicked out of town and gale is welcome to take his place as the proprietor of his collection! Someone has to do something with it, it's a huge cultural draw, and while Wyll could spend the rest of his life looking over the tomes, he no longer has the time, tbh this is his kind of sicko mode verse

FOUR. Gortash is kept as a prisoner of war---he is meant to be watched at all hours and must continue his experiments with the direct order to Fix Karlach

FIVE. Karlach is given the finest room in the Duke's mansion, with the best view---the one that belonged to Wyll's mother. She is given everything a person could possibly need or want while she "heals."

I will think of more things... later. Tbh I haven't done all the act three quests act three is very hard mode

Small hc:

Wyll takes really good care of his hands, theyre pretty soft despite the obvious callouses. Because of the nature of eldritch blasts, if he's not careful with the aloe, his palms will be damaged from the power output/force reverb strain, and there is almost always an "eldeitch residue" until he gets a good scrub in.

After the transformation, he starts wearing black nail polish and letting his nails grow slightly longer, when he realizes his nails are thicker and healthier---especially surprising to him bc he hasn't exactly been at one hundred percent nutrients and rest and sleep since being banished

His painted black nails are not claws, but he calls them that to amuse himself with the irony, despite doing it of his own volition. Its poetic, he tells himself! It's charming, it's funny! And he's coping!!!!!

He helps Alfira write her song and says its beautiful, but also he first told her she should be practicing fighting first. He kills the owlbear, but saves the cub. He xoncinces the cultists to fight the owlbear with him. He gives the necromancy book of thay to astarion and helps him bite him.

This is not just bc of wyllstarion, but because astarion tells wyll he only eats goblins and animals, and that makes wyll realize he's not a monster. He also asks wyll to trust him, like he trusts him in battle, and he needs a lil taste, to be better in battle. Bc astarion has been missing every damn second, I was like wyll is making his funny little man be his battle buddy for him by sucking him like a capri sun

I also think he relates the most to astarion

he CHOSE his pact. But also his soul does not belong to him. He does not have complete control of his autonomy, and he will nor have control of his afterlife. And there IS something beautiful about imagining the sunlight for the first time in three hundred years. He wants to get astarion out of cazador's control, and despite everything, he believes in dark magic, and being able to outsmart it or out kill it

REGARDING WYLL’S SOUL, AND THE GENUINE TASTINESS THERE WITHIN. Note, this is my own lore, I didn’t go to DnD school for dice

Wyll has sold his soul, yes, but it still exists inside him. Demons can metaphorically sense it, smell it, taste it, and because Mizora is a terrible patron and a minion of Zariel herself with dozens of pacts of her own, Mizora does not mind other fiends, devils and monsters making supplementary pacts with Wyll—his eternal soul and afterlife is hers, but deals can be made. In a metaphorical sense, Mizora lets other fiends and devils have a bite!

Wyll’s soul is particularly pungent, hence Mizora calling him “stinker.” He’s only 24, a human, and when Mizora made the pact, he was even younger and his worldview even more shallow and optimistic. He’s easy to corrupt and appeal to, despite his joy and kindness and boundless poetry and imagination, he always wants for more bc of that imagination n a deep sense of loneliness, and is willing to delve inside the darkness no matter how much he protests, a give to the outer layer of his heart like a sweet outer shell of soft caramel chew, which could be TOO sweet, but beneath that is a strength, a firmness, a hard, salted dark chocolate center, where he is bitter, and sullen, and will fight for his own dignity and sense of himself despite being easily persuaded what justice is. Demons like a little struggle! They like to play with their food! Wyll is just as likely to attack a demon than let them use his soul like a chew toy they’re borrowing from Mizora—and it’s that balance and give and take of layers that make Wyll so delicious!

In addition, there is a physical burden to Wyll’s soul and his contract. His heart always feels heavy. His stomach always feels full, sometimes the point of nausea. There is a guilt and painful twang to every joy, and Wyll is honestly not sure if its his inherent neuroticism and trauma—or Mizora’s cold physical clawmarks in his chest. This is magnified when he becomes a devil himself—Mizora’s cold grip compared to his own internal Hellfire is ever less ignorable, and now he still feels “full”—but hungrier still for power, violence, excess, emotional intensity, and “deals.” Very overwhelming, he deals with it well!

wyll and romance! (spoilers for: wylls romance! its VERY cute. i recommend spoiling urself for it tho unless u plan a whole wyll specific playthru bc there r. very few scenes lol. like less than 30 minutes total.)

so i did not get this on my playthrough bc i felt weird to try to “persuade” wyll to kiss astarion on that save, but the fact that if u do, the next day he has a specific exclusive dialogue where this grown ass man says “my cheeks feel warm. am i blushing? i must be blushing.” with like the giddiness of the debutante ballerina he is, tells me that.

wyll loves when other people make the moves on him n are the “initiator.” he also doesn’t disapprove when ur slightly mean/overtly rude or call him a devil in his romance scenes, which means that, he has a good sense of humor, he likes em mean, or soft, as long as they’re giving him attention n he gets to see them smile and feel joy around him.

i feel that wyll has spent the great majority of his life alone exploring the world. some days mizora was his sole company, n only then thru his seeing eye, n thats not company he cares to keep despite his great yearning for the power she gives him. his experience romancing mostly comes from his teenage years—and while he has stoked his fires at a tavern or two or with a grateful survivor of misfortune, there’s a lot of time spent alone, thinking, playing pretend in his head, fantasizing. not always about romance, mind u—he’s not THAT much of a schoolgirl, n there were powers to master and training to be done even on his own. but under the stars—sometimes he dreamed of the ballrooms, even tho he danced alone.

i think he imagined a great love like the player character would come along. i imagine a part of him wished to be saved, and loved, despite or because of mizora. he’s not used to tender care, used to playing the charming hero, never being protected himself

when he is expressly sought after he gets embarrassed and extra romantic. he swoons when seduced. he can dish it out—see: his banter with SH and lae—but he can barely take “being taken care of”—especially when it’s so genuine, and he’s hurting so deeply, n his passions are stoked by a devil’s cinders…. n by a disgust with himself that only feels fixed, really, when they let him know his body and presence still make them feel “safe.” that he’s not an abomination or a monster—they’re still interested, they still care, he’s worth loving, or maybe, in wyll’s eyes, still turning their gaze upon, a summer setting sun.

he appreciates you so, so much. but also it’s a sistraction from the way his body n mind have changed. one he welcomes. one he craves, but can look upon with wonder instead of guilt. u save him from himself and his wallowing. u let him be a simple, ordinary fairy tale, even tho a devil cannot be a prince. that’s all he wants. maybe some u know, forbidden tomes n noble delights n excess as well, but mostly just a fairy tale. he promises!!!

in addition, and this is random, but i think wyll would be so good to be in a relationship with if u have mental illness. he doesn’t understand some things—like gale’s sacrifice—but he is so kind to dark urge. he knows you are not your intrusive thoughts, u just need help, and u can fight or overcome any feelings or thoughts that would harm u, n he thinks ur so brave for it, n he trusts u completely, like he hopes u trust him. hes no stranger to depression n self loathing n a lust for darkness after all, wyll sold his soul for the stuff, even if it was for all the right reasons tho i maintain the details r sketchy as hell.

if this all seems overly poetic its bc im practicing wyll’s voice here, a mini sample of what shipping would be like, LOL.

and this is with only two romantic scenes. then sixty hours later he proposes marriage with a magic acorn so full of love u can feel its magic warmth beneath the shell. i would love to see romances with player characters (companions included if they are “the player character) where we flesh that shit out! lmao

Headcanon addendum: apparently its canon that wyll is twenty four, which is a lot younger than I thought but I will go even with the game and say bc wyll is clearly a Leo he's twenty five!!!!!!!

DEMON FORM.

In any verses where Karlach is NOT killed, Mizora changes Wyll’s very DNA. His soul is thrust through every layer of Hell, and he emerges changed—different, physically, mentally, and emotionally.

PHYSICALLY: Wyll’s ears grow longer, pointed and scarred, Wyll pierces them and wears gold earrings through them.

He grows a tiefling tail (red).

he grows thick ram horns.

His nails and hair grow thicker and healthier.

He skin becomes extra warm and toasty, his blood is now Hot.

His chest is still cold from Mizora’s grip on it. It is now frostbitten.

Wyll’s pupil is like a cat or a snake’s—the pupils dilate and contract when in especially emotional situations.

He has more scars, scales litter pepper his skn in strange, delicate places,, he sweats more and needs to moisturize more often.

There is a reddish, moving swirl beneath his skin, if you look at him at night. the hellfire rages within.

MENTALLY: Wyll now has sensory overload more often, his senses are heightened, and in the early stages of this “third puberty” he constantly feels feverish as he struggles to adjust. In addition, before he always felt physically full to the point of nausea—now he feels hungry for violence and emotional intensity—the intimate entertwining of a devil’s promise. He was always an edgelord and a bard at heart who craved longing—but now he craves to be a little more sly and puff out his chest more.

EMOTIONALLY: Wyll experiences some kind of dysphoria at not seeing himself the way he is used to. He grows to like these changes at times, especially if you compliment him for them, and he likes certain aspects of them when they fit his new idea of heroism post-game—but these things happen in cycles, he’s not the man his Father wanted him to be.

In addition, the physical and mental drain of wanting so much emotional intensity and “soul energy” makes him feel guilty. he is so soft, he wants to want for so little. he wants a happily ever after. but sometimes… he wants eternity. he wants glory. he wants to rule avernus with you, he wants to lay waste to all your enemies, he wants to be cruel and unmerciful and unjust.

and everyone has these feelings sometimes, but having them pop up to the surface so much more when he has better things to be doing—genuinely unsettles him, and makes him keep his distance sometimes. he is so scared of being human. being a devil is part of being human, changing is part of being human. wanting to feel powerful is human, and these things have always been inside him but everything is intense and new and scary in a new, scary way.

and he jokes it off, and charms it off. and he obsesses over the protag in their intimate t TWO scenes, fantasizing endlessly, as he as always fantasized endlessly. but he is so afraid of change, and making up his mind, on who the blade is supposed to be.
