- okay so let's say this takes place after the events of reze and makima, so basing it in part 2 of the manga, he would be incredibly nervous to confess his feelings to you

- it seems like every time he likes someone, he ends up getting almost killed, they get killed, or something terrible either way

- so he would be terrified of even thinking of saying that he has feelings for you

- denji would likely try to avoid you at all costs thinking his crush on you would go away if he didn't see you as often, that obviously doesn't work

- so he tries to show his feelings for you by his actions, and even though he's a nervous wreck doing anything around you, you still don't understand what he's doing

- if it continues on for a few months that you don't realize then denji will pull you aside, likely with some flowers in his hands and just shove them into your hands looking down at the ground and talking so fast you can barely catch his confession

- he wrote down what to say on his hand but he was sweating so much it got smeared and he couldn't read most of it so he just ranted for a few minutes

- needless to say he was incredibly shocked when you said you liked him too, and he looked at you with wide eyes, not believing it

- you give him a quick kiss on his cheek and he swears he almost dropped dead at that exact moment, his face heating up bright red as he stuttered out a "you do?"

- poor boy was so nervous you would reject him :(

- but he did pick your favorite flowers that he somehow remembered you say one time and even though he stole them from the store he was so happy that you liked them

- denji would then ask you out on a date, he doesn't know where cause honestly he didn't think he'd make it this far but he doesn't want you to meet nayuta yet so probably someplace else

- he's grinning like an idiot though when you grab his hand and start walking with him telling him how you were confused by his previous actions but that it makes sense now

- if you don't know he's chainsaw man, he'll tell you right then and there out of worry that someone will try to kill you for being with him, and he will make sure nothing happens to you no matter what

hello chat, im looking for some literate roleplays for a couple of fandoms! (but yes please be literate, because that's what i write and i get pretty bored otherwise. or at least just give me enough to work with because sometimes even i get burnt out writing a ton at once)

there isnt anything im uncomfortable with (if anything pops up i will let you know) and if anything makes you uncomfortable please let me know and i will avoid it. i love plots that have a mix of everything in them, and long-term plots are some of my favorites (multiple smaller threads make me a little bored, so having a consistent rp is great!)

i'm willing to do a double up with oc's. only with the danganronpa series though (which is mostly what im looking for), but im also fine with roleplaying strictly canon characters (thats usually what i do anyway since i find it easier) i will not do oc x oc though.

chainsaw man chapter 122 thoughts

when i first read through the chapter i noted it was odd that fami ordered so much food until i scrolled through tumblr and saw that @possiblylando (sorry for the random ping/notification if this causes one, im still getting used to tumblr and i didnt want to take credit for an observation i didnt make) made the big brain observation that it's probably to do with fami being famine. akdjjwkxnd good catch. that makes me wonder if fami eats irregularly due to her nature or if she's always hungry?

we saw earlier that yoru's goal is to make chainsaw man return nuclear weapons, presumably because that will lead to more fear of impending warfare, which will, in turn, give her power boost. we don't know her motivations for this right now. rivalry with the 3 other horseman devils maybe? or something more?

this probably goes without saying but yoshida's comment about the 7/30 convicts dying this week and what we've seen so far makes me think that the convicts are just going to be fodder in some grander scheme, possibly on a city-wide scale, along with a whole lot of others.

it wasnt exactly made clear but since the devil's body was made using the body parts of the people living in the apartment building, were they killed solely for that or can they be reanimated in some way and used in battle like the dolls from part 1?

im kind of forming a loose theory here, and it'll probably be way off, but i wonder if the ability of this primal fear devil is scent based? at the time nayuta says she smells "the nastiest devil scent... i've ever smelled!" (chapter 121) denji is forlorn and hopeless like we see with the couple who jump off the balcony in 122.

i also want to point out the menacing shot of denji's building. maybe fujimoto is trying to say something here?

but like with the failed spinal cord sword, denji shrugs it off.

since nayuta isnt affected and denji also isnt really affected, maybe it has to do with pochita's influence on his physiology?

in that vein, we see asa on the street probably not too far away also extremely down on herself. so much so that yoru even feels compelled to say something.

keep in mind, this isn't the first time asa beats herself up, but it IS the first time yoru says something about it.

and what's happening right at the same time?

nostradamus's prophecy of the 1999 apocalypse. im not going to post the poem since it's already floating around but I'll share some thoughts i had on it.

like others are theorizing, i think its fujimoto's way of laying out exactly what will happen from here on out. blatant foreshadowing.

war wants to find and kill chainsaw man to take back the ultimate weapon; nuclear weapons. the primal fears, plural, will set the stage for the arrival of the final boss, nostradamus's king of terror, aka death, who is also one of the 4 horsemen.

that said, im gonna jump around to the couple's conversation:

the man started off excited about what's essentially a mundane achievement. his wife? girlfriend? is happy for him until he asks about a car. right here is where we see the change from calm to...not sad but apathetic and acceptingly hopeless. at the slightest negative statement that he would not be allowed to get a car, and it's implied that they've had this conversation before and that it isn't the first time he asked, his negativity overwhelms him, transfers to her through whatever is causing this mental shift, and they go to the balcony to jump.

there he eyes a car that looks...

well.

it looks like kobeni's car.

that's either a red herring because fujimoto is a troll or maybe that's where the actual primal fear devil is? it could also be a nod towards what denji was capable of doing; getting up and keeping going towards the same goal. for denji, love. for this guy, a nice car.

as for which primal fear this devil represents, my guess is despair. in war you must have ambition, especially as a leader, and resolve as a soldier. without resolve, you die. what power does war and emotion have when the opponent is empty and untouchable?

but then i remembered what the four horsemen of the APOCALYPSE aka the four horsemen of death were, and i doubt im going to be right about that. we know this primal fear devil isnt control, because that's nayuta, or famine, or yoru, and most likely, as in most probably definitely, not death.

so i did a light google search and saw that control/conquest is sometimes alternatively called pestilence/plague. maybe fujimoto is making 5 horsemen of the apocalypse? if it actually is pestilence, it could explain the smell. disease has a noticeable stench.

i think that more or less sums up my thoughts on chapter 122.

I'm backkkk and I've just finished my Raven Boys reread!

I have Dream Thieves requested, but I'm on my library's wait list, so it might be a hot second before I can actually read it.

I'd really forgotten a lot of the book! I think most of what I remember is from later in the series, tbh. [For some reason I was dead convinced the toga party was in book 1?!?!] I do remember that during my first read, Noah and Ronan were my favourite characters; that is still the case, especially vaguely remembering what happens later.

Somehow my brain had totally erased Whelk though. How? Idk!!! That man is literally like a fourth of the plot for the first book.

I'd also forgotten how young everyone is. I think because they have cars and Monmouth Manufacturing is home base for a lot of the boys that had made me convince myself that they were at least uni age, but nope! Also can we spend a moment on Monmouth??? Literally a town in Wales!

This ask is getting so long, so I'll wrap it up, but reading again I made a lot more of the connections happening between all the characters and events. I definitely understood the nuaces better than the first time I read asw!

Anyway, it was a good read and I'm happy to have done it and I'm looking forward to the rest of the series. Thanks for reading my thoughts! Can I update you as I read the other books?

So back story is:

Shiloh has joined the SBR to ensure he keeps his inheritance from his dead grandparents. Won't go into too much detail as I don't feel like tagging or censoring, but Shiloh's dad is an abusive POS. All he wants is to buy some land far away from his home and have a little farm of his own. He's the oldest of 5 siblings. He is from Texas, iirc Dallas, to be specific? Or at least the Dallas area.

I am still working on the details on meeting Johnny and Gyro. But I'm vibing with Gyro approaches Shiloh at a checkpoint bar. He sees Shiloh sitting all by himself, and Shiloh is what we would call a "pretty boy" in looks. So naturally, Gyro is drawn to him... though later, Gyro reveals he felt literally drawn to Shiloh. As if they were meant to meet each other. (Yes, ShiYro has the soulmates dynamic that plays in every AU)

Shiloh is a tsundere, and while yes, he too feels drawn to Gyro. He immediately blows him off. I suppose I could make it where Gyro vaguely invites Shiloh to join him and Johnny. That sounds like a possible thing he'd do.

Heading into now, Gyro hc territory: So this came from my friend, but Gyro writes home. He loves his family dearly. So when he meets Shiloh and starts doing this race with him and getting to spend time with him. He writes home about how much he loves and adores this man.

Anyways, gotta drop this factoid somewhere: Gyro knows Shiloh is AFAB not because of his "medical" background but because of him accidentally walking in on Shiloh mid shower/bath. He never treated Shiloh any different after learning this fact, nor did he ever tell anyone Shiloh's secret. This put Gyro on good terms with Shiloh. He knew he could definitely trust Gyro after that incident.

Later on, Gyro tells Shiloh why he's doing this race and Shiloh's reasoning for being in this race change. He chooses to actively help Gyro win first place. He wants to bring Marco to America so that they all can become a family. Shiloh agrees to adopt Marco with Gyro and that the three of them will live on a big lot of land and have a big happy family together after the race.

Chainsaw Man Chapter 150 "Early" Analysis

Hoo boy what a chapter how are we all doing cause Fujimoto came out fucking swinging this chapter. Before that I should give some context as to my day caused I went to bed at like 4am then woke up at 8:30am didn't go back to sleep because I had classes so I read this entire chapter in kind of a haze. So all the Tricks Fujimoto was playing were catching me. Like I was reading and I see that woman in the left and I have to do a double take "what the fuck is asa doing there- oh thats not asa" THEN IN THE NEXT PANEL I DIDN'T EVEN CATCH THIS UNTIL LATER DENJI IS DOING THE EXACT SAME FUCKING DOUBLE TAKE

I originally clocked this scene as being about Denji being upset about everything still being normal despite the circumstances but I don't think thats it anymore. He looks genuinely shaken and Im sure most of that is being worried about the apartment and the pets but then seeing someone who looks so much like Asa has probably genuinely rattled him more.

And this fucking page was vile Fujimoto how dare you. I thought for a moment in my sleep delusion that everything was okay and they'd gotten home and just continued to live their life despite all the shit going on because that seemed to be what was being set up with Nayuta's "They're still going about their lives despite whats going on" line.

This whole panel is very intentional and its kind of weird and still kinda sickens me a bit because its so fucking ARGH. We've known Denji isn't really happy and he hasn't been for a long time he's just been going through the motions. Being Chainsaw Man was the one thing that he still had that could bring him happiness. I know this is going to sound like an awful thing to say but the way everything has been framed upto this point especially with Nayuta on his back kind of frames her like a burden to Denji. I know its a terrible thing to say I know he loves her and cares about her and I don't know if he's even on the same wavelength but his complacency and loss of his core happiness has been due to Makima and indirectly Nayuta. I doubt Denji blames Nayuta for any of it because it isn't her fault that she's being used as a hostage. It feels like Barem has infected my fucking thought stream.

This marks Pochita's first in manga appearance in like the entirety of part 2. This whole sequence seems to be mirroring Denji and Asa since Asa/Yoru has the recurring nightmare about the dead birds and then tripping up at the most important moments.

I wasn't even really sure if this scene was real at first like if this was really their house on fire. I didn't even really register what this all meant until Barem started talking about it.

Stop lying we know its because you're afraid Asa would kick your ass.

Barem's transformation trigger being a molar is still weird. I've been trying to figure out why its a molar because hybrids usually have triggers relating to the weapon they embody. Denji pulls a chainsaw ripcord, Reze pulls the pin on a grenade, Katana Man unsheathes his sword, Ect. So the possible explanations for Barem me and my friends came up with; 1. It's wordplay a molar is a unit of measurement (a mole) which refers to the amounts of a single substance within a solution. So it could be like flamethrower fluid? 2. It's a lighter switch like that bit at the top of a lighter that makes the spark. This one is more likely and could potentially mean Barem can transform/regen without using his hands which would make him VERY dangerous. Now to the most insane part of the chapter

THIS FUCKING WOMAN NO THIS FUCKING THING THIS CREATURE KNOWN AS FUMIKO HER PLOT ARMOR IS FUCKING UNPIERCABLE. How does he escape the whip hybrid point blank when the other members all got hit and are very clearly damaged by it? Only two possible explanations which are both sickening, Fujimoto has something planned for her (Hopefully her DEATH). Worse off, She's going to survive part 2. ALSO Now unrelated to Fumiko, I guess The fucking public safety hunters are absolute dogshit are you kidding me dude?? Lets recap all these events that have taken place within at maximum a single hour (probably less than 30 minutes). 1. Denji and Nayuta go to the park 2. Hybrids attack, Quanxi dismisses them all and they're assumably put into custody 3. Fire contracts activate and Barem escapes custody 4. Yoru fights Yoshida, Yoshida flees 5. Barem runs straight to Denji's house and burns it to the ground 6. Sometime between 3 and 5 the Hybrids ESCAPE custody and make it to Denji's house in order to aid Barem. I'm choosing to blame this all on Fumiko cause she was supposed to be DOING SHIT and yet all she does is run away and do fucking nothing ever this is atrocious this woman has to go. Heres my fucking theory I established on my Death Devil post (The Yoshida Joke one) that the Horsemen on earth are all fiends of some sort, But their power likely doesn't diminish as much as normal fiends. Fumiko's purpose will be as the corpse the death devil inhabits thats why shes been given such a focus and thats why she has this fucking giorno giovanna tier plot armor ALSO IS BAREM'S FULL FUCKING NAME REALLY "Barem Bridge" IS THAT FUCKING REAL IS THIS NAME REALLY JUST FUCKING FUCKING "Burn Them Bridge" WHEN YOU SAY IT OUTLOUD IS THAT REAL?

for my personality, id say im pretty bubbly and excitable. i’m also an esfj & cancer, if that’s useful information at all andkwneke. i try to look on the bright side and try to cheer up people when they’re sad. im very affectionate with the people im close to, and i kinda cling onto my friends arms and hug them a lot. i love anything soft or cute, especially animals!! im kinda scared of bugs though, but i still always try to take them outside, even if i have to go kicking and screaming. i get distracted pretty easily, and have pull my friends off the track they were on so we could all pet dogs (they were so cute!!). i also really like going for walks, shopping, yoga, baking, and reading. i really like to look after people, but sometimes that makes it so i kinda disregard my own needs. im a bit of people pleaser, and i tend to look for the best in others! though i can’t really tolerate it if somebody is overly cruel or rude to the people i care about.

Chainsaw Man: Denji

He thought you were adorable going around the park petting every dog you see with your soft style of clothing. Once the two of you get into a relationship, trips to the park are a must and every dog that passes by is getting a pet no matter what. Denji seems like a dog person and I can see the two of you in the future owning a dog and loving it extremely.

When seeing a bug in your place, a loud scream was heard scaring the blonde internally before seeing the creature and wondering what you were afraid of. Removing the bug from your place, you crawled up onto your table searching for any other little crawlers that were scattering around. He thought it was funny seeing you afraid of something that was barely half of your size.

Denji's the type of partner to make jokes and tease, he tends to make fun of your height and talk about the difference between the two of you. If there's something on your face, Denji won't say anything and wait till someone else notices thinking that and all o his other jokes to be the funniest thing ever, that is until he makes a joke that actually hurts you. He never means to be rude or upset you with his joking, but when he does do something that goes to far he makes sure to make up for it going to Makima-san for advice. He then sets up a whole date with flowers and a candle lit dinner for the two of you as a way to apologize for making you upset

Attack On Titan: Hange Zoe

Your guys' personalities get along well, the two of you are bubbly and filled with loads of energy. especially when doing the things that make you happy. Hange enjoys your company, even if the two of you get side tracked, she usually brings you to her lab as a form of company. You're always willing to help her with her experiments, but Hange won't let you do anything to dangerous like the rest of the people she does test on.

7. What are you looking forward to seeing in art in years to come?

im the worst person to ask this because i know nothing about anything in depth </3 but you know what ... i really want some horror movies to come out of the subcontinent region, some seriously good horror movies - whether they're low budget or high budget (the latter not preferable considering the high budget film catalogue of recent years) ... something that really explores the folklore of the countries here because i am slowly getting around to looking into the folklores of our country and while people have written short stories for them they haven't delved into the horror aspect of these folktales ... also would love for literary magazines in pak to make a comeback we are seriously lacking in them and it's something i feel like we can learn a lot from what we had in the 80s and 90s and incorporate a lot of the newer digital aspects into it ...

10. Did you get into any new fandoms this year? Did you do any art/fic/fannish things for them?

you all saw my weekly breakdown over no home and chainsaw man </3 but - no not really, i try to stay really far away from fandoms and admire meta analyses from the peripheries; so that's all i did this year again

12. Do you have any watching/reading/listening goals?

i haven't really kept any strict reading goals for this year, i am going to read more actively + deliberately instead of rushing through books / passively going through them without thinking about what i am reading (which i don't really do - but i did start falling into that routine last year that i want to get rid of) ... i do really want to read more books in urdu, i went around digging and found a few authors i want to read so <3 that's my primary goal ... other than that keeping my watching goals at least 50 for this year 🙏🏽 hopefully that'll happen, and nothing much for music really ... i listen to everything that comes my way <3

Mob Psycho 100 S3 -

my favorite show ever. I don’t even know what to say. i only got into mob like 2 years ago and im so glad i did. i sobbed at the ending. it was very bittersweet but i was so so happy for everyone. mob’s growth made me so so happy. genuinely just such a good show and i got my brother and my friend to watch mob too and they really enjoyed it. this is kind of a ridiculous statement to use in regards to a show but yknow, if i loved mob psycho less id be able to talk about it more. just so many emotions. the finale happened and one of my friends got several voice messages of me crying and just talking about it. i would really like to read the manga for it at some point, and i do plan to read the reigen spin-off as i do actually own it.

Cowboy Bebop -

I started watching this a few years ago and never finished so I thought I should finally come back to it, and it was worth it. It’s so good. The last few episodes made me sad. Just all the, lore episodes I guess, generally caused me a lot of pain. Ed and Ein leaving broke my heart. And honestly Faye’s backstory really got me. THE SONG THAT PLAYED DURING THAT PART TOO!!! SO GOOD. and don’t even get me started on Spike :( I did really like the cowboy episode though, the one with the YMCA or Young Men’s Cowboy Association. was a good episode, and the fridge lobster creature episode haunts me to this day.

Spy x Family - it’s just wholesome. always makes me laugh and is really a no thought head empty show and i enjoy that. i do keep up with the manga for this but it’s always nice to see it animated.

Chainsaw Man - obviously very positive thoughts about this one I love chainsaw man. Suffering from actual brain rot. the vibes are very different from the manga, it’s more cinematic ig but I do think it’s a great adaptation. The intro and all the outros are so good. Especially the Hayakawa family outro. I loved the voice actors. BEAM!!! His va is so good. I love just all the insane laughter from all the characters it brings me so much joy. I love chainsaw man !!!!

Vinland Saga - my brother is so into Vinland saga. And he has told me about it before. I thought I’d watch it because I knew a new season was coming out, and obviously he had hyped it up so much. And it was absolutely worth the hype. I binged like 16 episodes in a day and would have finished it in a day if I didn’t go see Puss in Boots ( which very good btw) It’s in my top 10 now, im not really one come up with a top 10 or anything. But if I had one Vinland Saga is definitely up there. I liked like all the characters. Thorfinn is great. Askeladd is so fucking cool. Canute and Thorkell phenomenal. Can’t believe thorfinn is so short too, like bro is minuscule im ngl. but anyways !!! Even like Bjorn I enjoyed. I was genuinely sad when he died. But anyways. I love Vinland saga too!!!

Kekkai Sensen/Blood Blockade Battlefront -

This wasn’t bad at all! Idk if I’ll watch the second season, but the first one wasn’t too bad. I did start watching it solely because of the outro, and yknow what the outro is really good and does make me very happy so I do stand by that decision. Was not expecting to hear Zoro’s VA in this so that was a pleasant surprise. Zapp overall was just a wild character, and he had a tiny ass waist like wtf was that all about. Anyways, was enjoyable overall.

Terror in Resonance - this show is so good. from what i can remember the music in it is good. There was a song I really liked but idk what it’s called unfortunately. It’s a good show to just binge. I liked it a lot. I cried at the end. I wasn’t expecting that to happen given like the premise of the show, I went into the show just thinking it was about terrorists, and to certain extent it is but also it’s more than that. Anyways, I guess I should’ve assumed things wouldn’t all be wonderful and happy by the end, but man… lots of really cool things within this show and overall just enjoyable though, so id definitely recommend!
