if escape rooms as team building exercises became popular im not sure if id be more excited or terrified

#if it isnt already anyway.. i can see it happening as a school frosh thing. idk if it would catch on as a workplace thing #i kind of find the concept of being locked in with strangers and working to find a way out weirdly exhilarating though #at least compared to icebreakers cause i dont have to spend 10 minutes racking my brain for something to blurt out abt myself #as a bonus u could like. put people into groups and give prizes to whoever escapes first second third etc. apparently they also do themed #escape rooms.. maybe let people pick a theme? or voluntary sign up? actually this would be really fun for smth like a blind friend date #although if i found out i was locked in a room with an online friend id be too excited to actually escape LOL #ive never done an escape room before so sadly i cant speak from experience. its like up there on things i want to try next to rug tufting #workshop and visiting new art exhibits or conventions. i seriously need to get out more if it wasnt for the horrors <- school and anxiety #i was planning to invite cass to a drop-in art workshop in town but neither of us could go bc typography is making us go thru hell and back #AND THEY HAD A BUTTON MACHINE TOO #im nostalgic bc i miss working in groups and not being awkward abt it or worrying abt schedule conflicts #i realized that i learn best in groups and its a little corny but i like sharing ideas and talking through a problem #in elementary i could just sit down with friends for review and come out of it energized *and* more familiar with the material #and i could technically still do it now. but as adults we're more picky abt who we work with on top of being way more busy outside school #maybe im lonely. im shy and grew up not talking to ppl unless i absolutely have to so its hard to make friends on my own i guess #only thing getting me thru it is telling myself that humans like helping and that my cringe is overblown in my head. but its hard #hence the escape rooms. i have been able to talk to 2(!!) people though!! mostly abt school stuff but im glad to be on friendly terms #i dont really know how to be happy these days cause im constantly scaring myself abt my portfolio and finding places to work #not being ambitious is part of not wanting to put energy into something that wont work out while also not having the passion to do literall #anything else.. i should probably talk to my counsellor ugh #yapping

Do any of you remember a Youtube video about Re:Kinder talking about how the game is seen and percieved by some people (mostly touching upon and arguing against how it has been treated insensitively as some sort of weird legend like "ooo disturbing game with a hidden truth behind it" due to it's creator being dead), as well as talking about the charm of the game (even mentioning it's art at some point) and sadness of the themes without spoiling anything at the same time?? I remember the video avoided saying any spoilers at all and only touched on the literal plot as the kids being stuck in a dire situation in the town with all the adults dead without really getting into the why (it didn't even say one of the kids themselves was the cause— as thus, spoiler free), other than that it just touched on the emotional side of it and vaguely mentioned some scenes.

i also remember at some point the later half (at the very least if not in all of it) of the video, music by Siinamota was playing in the background. Does anyone remember seeing a video like this?

I can't seem to find it anywhere and don't even remember the exact year I watched it.😭 It was the way I found out about this game a while ago, which eventually ended up in me playing it, and I really wish I could watch it again. I thought it was a deleted video by someone called hazel as it was mentioned by a lot of people, but I found that one and it isnt it.😓 I'm wondering if anyone remembers watching something along the lines of what im describing and knows if it's still up.

I'm not saying it's bad that people now have a vocabulary to accurately express how they're feeling, but I always cringe when contestants throw around "therapy speech" like 'triggered', 'words of affirmation', etc. in their conversations as though they're everyday words. Some are even going as far to admit they've never been in therapy like that's a crime or something to be ashamed of. idk. I understand the point of the pods is to dump all your horrible childhood stories and find overlap in your values, but it's just too much sometimes.

transfem kon proposal could have been good if was good

NOOOOOO i caved and decided i would just buy the lps from the target website anyway and they decided to go out of stock as i was about to check out. throws up

#the world really does not want me to have these things.#well theres still some left but all i really wanted was some blind boxes and one of the 3 packs #the 3 pack i wanted is still there but the blind boxes are sold out #and i really dont think its worth buying 35 dollars worth of stuff i wasnt planning to get just to get the 3 pack thats only 10 dollars #(target website will only allow you to get certain items if you buy 35+ dollars worth of stuff. which includes all lps they had)#i guess ill just wait for them to show up in person somewhere.... #dating feels a lot more real #like i cant just pick a sim and go 'theres my wife!' i actually have to find someone suitable for my sim #my sim's first bf i was gonna come up with a reason to break them up #but he shows up on their fancy dinner date and throws a drink in her face 😭 it might be bc of the mean sims glitch but #honestly it was really fun lol #and i got to take them to counselling (which was so fun)#and then after they decided to work it out they had a hot date. and then he started yelling at her again 😭 (i think it was bc their dynamic #was unpredictable that time)#so anyway she broke up with him #(and got a confident moodlet for cutting him off!!! which i thought was so cute and accurate to how i imagined my sim would feel)#got a date off the dating app with someone perfect for her #who ended up actually being evil #so i was finding someone else but then i got that reality tv phonecall #so now im doing the 7 date thing #but im making them all blind dates because that seems like a more fun concept for a show #and after its done im gonna gather them all up and have her pick one #(or none-- but she did hit it off with bess sterling so 😭)

ok. sometimes I just want to listen to people talk abt star wars but the youtube results are all men and I refuse to do that to myself. found myself on a reddit thread of good sw youtube accounts/podcasts and it's like....for one dollar name a woman:/

#CRINGE or whatever #but like i am thinking abt themes of fate and agency and the way they change across series and how certacertain characters exist outside #the narrative etc and i just wanna talk abt rebels and how its such a fantastic follow up to tcw/the prequels in terms of its core cast and #the fact that their only commonality is that they chose to be a part of the rebellion as opposed to the characters of tcw that are stuck in #this perpetual loop of following orders and uplifting those in power & feeling as though everything in their lives are destined meanwhile #there were so many opportunities to stop the end destiny (if u will) of the prequels if only they werent so blind etc but at the same time #you have characters like maul and ahsoka who exist outside of these power structures (one by choice and the other not) and when it comes #time to change anakins fate together ahsoka cant do it bc shes refuses to see the truth #and then this is directly paralleled at the end of rebels s2 where it takes kanan being literally blinded for him to see ezras pull to the #dark side bc until then kanan (the last remaining jedi) still clings to the beliefs and structures that raised him. he cant see/understand #ezra bc he refuses to view the world outside of the lens of his jedi training he has to be blinded to see the world around him in a new way #ofc this is all happening while ahsoka and anakin meet again and we see what could have happened had kanan failed to change #idk something something the illusion of choice under capatalism & 2 party systems leading to facism #something something rebellion/change comes from the ability to question authority and find individual purpose #noooo idea where im going with this shit at the end i promise i understand facism #see this is why i need to listen to other people talk abt it i am just spewing nonsense in my tumblr tags!!!!

It's so weird having these hours where I'm getting more and more lucid knowing that I have to go back before long. I'll enjoy it while I can.
