Yesterday's IFT-2 launch was awesome! I was shaking in joy all the way, as I watched the gigantic 40-story tall Starship stack lift off and fly up to the heavens!

Despite the rapid unscheduled disassembly of Booster 9, and the loss of Ship 25, the mission was a success. Ignition up to stage separation went without any problems, and it was great seeing all 33 Raptor engines burning properly. Definately an improvement from IFT-1 a few months ago. Not only that, SpaceX also to proved that hot-staging is possible for the Starship system!

Lots of valuable data were gathered from yesterday and there is no doubt the information they got will be used to make sure that the next launch, IFT-3, will become more successful. Can't wait to see that!

Starship IFT-2 (25/9) launch 18 Nov 2023. This time all 33 Raptor-2 engines worked, as far as the ascent went. The 20 outer engines are fixed in position, the 13 inner and centre engines can gimbal or move to point in different directions to angle the thrust for steering. For staging, when the ship separates all but the centre engines shut down and these throttle down to 50 per cent thrust (at least that is what was thought would happen but on this flight it seems they remained at full tilt, after someone analysed how much light they continued to emit) as the ship ignites its engines and accelerates away. The ten engines on the inner ring can also be restarted (along with the centre engines) for the retro burn using nitrogen gas stored in tank in the chines (the long triangular section ridges running up the side of the booster) to spin up the turbo pumps of the engines. The outer engines can't relight because they are spun up with nitrogen from a ground supply feed in through their own individual umbilicals.

In the event only nine of the ten engines relit for the retro burn and then the booster started loosing engines as they shut down sequentially until only six were left running before the booster decided to self destruct (I think it was the Flight Termination System because there was a bright flash and clouds can be seen erupting from the middle of the booster in one frame, some have speculated it could have been a shock wave from exploding engines travelling back up the central downcomer feed pipe to the CH4 methane tank and destroying the dividing bulkhead between the CH4 and LOX tank). THE AMAZING DIGITAL CIRCUS FLUFF ALPHABET

Deciding to do the fluff alphabet for TADC! Copying my list I did for the creepypasta alphabet with some tweaking/swapping out some of the letters for other prompts! More info under the cut regarding rules and the alphabet itself!

Same deal with wanting to do the entire circus + caine

You can request multiple characters, at the trade off that you can only choose less letters

1 character: any number of letters, yes including the whole alphabet

2 characters: 10 letters max

3 characters: 6 letters max

4 characters (max): 5 letters max

Obviously you can request multiple times! This is just per ask + I trust you guys wont go bananas

Same deal as normal requests, dont pressure me to do yours faster since its demotivating, I tend to usually do my requests in order of when they were sent

why do i genuinely get mad when i think about Four (BFB)'s characterization being inconsistent (not about pre/postsplit i think that was a justified change but happened a lil too fast). and like,. in tpot with the retconning of his reformation after bfb 30 was all about "heyyy Four is like. he was bad butnow he is working thoug his shit hey he's getting over his problems hoorayyy he is getting Betternow" and then NOOOOOOOPE boom they are now in the POT of T and they are Murder Baby yet again. huh????
