i wanted to go for that older brother vibe where he comes off immature at face value but actually has a lot of experience under his belt if you ask him for genuine advice, and isn’t a slacking off loser

1 Year Anniversary DTIYS!

Celebrating 1 year of running this blog, here's a "draw this in your style" piece of the Fawn family! <3

It'll be running for 1 month (but any done after then are very welcomed as well!) There's no winner or anything, just a fun little thing to join in on if you'd like to participate! About sending Asks:

-No NSFW, AI, NFT stuff

-don't send me pictures of your Ocs, it’s very sweet of you to want to show them to me, you are doing great! But my ask boy gets easily full of them. Same with if my OCs would meet/befriend your Oc. Don't DM them to me too, they are full!

-I don't do requests! You can always commission me if you want me to draw something for you. Responding with art is something I do on my own.

-If you ask something that was asked already many times I will most likely not respond.

Can I draw or write something about you Ocs or Oc's universes?

Go for it! Just add credits please, and tag or send links to me so I can see them.

Why don't you answer my asks or DM's?

Sometimes Tumblr is weird and Asks just disappear even though my Inbox says there is still something in there, but doesn't show up. My asks or DM's can be too full and it takes time to respond to all of you. Or you ignored my Ask rules.

Do you write fics?

Not really, I do write stories but not in the way you're used to fics. They're like scripts because I write those before I do comics.

Can I repost your art?

No, even if you credit it! You can reblog here on Tumblr or Bluesky. But I will not allow it because of Art theft!

Can I use your TSBS or Laia comics for Dubs?

Sure, but please ask first and use credits! Even if you make a Dub of an already dubbed video of my comics and that creator gives you permission, ASK ME TOO PLEASE! And send me links I want to see it. But don't use comics like Cool Uncle or from other books!

HELL NO!

I'm a woman. My pronunciation is she/her, but I'm also comfortable with they/them. (I actually don't care about what pronouns you use for me)

I wish and I tried but my old computer gets easily overheated.

What is your job?

I'm an independent illustrator (but still part job hunting). I draw commissions to pay the bills and hold my head barely above the water. And no I don't earn money with the TSBS comics, they are drawn with the little free time I have. (or in the middle of the night, because I can't sleep)

Did you study art?

Yes, I made my graduation in arts and a bachelor of arts in communication design. But to be honest I learned how to draw on my own.

What books did you work on?

You can find them in my portfolio. I had many book/comic commissions and a few of my own like Cool Uncle.

When will the next page of Cool Uncle come out?

I know, 12 pages are left for me to draw, but commissions come first. And right now I have a strong obsession with TSBS and work on those in my free time, so I will work on Cool Uncle when I have the motivation again.

Yup, I have Autism and a learning disability. And other mental health issues I won't go into depth here.

im sorry people are being so stupid on your post about commissioning being part of art. no its not the same as drawing something but it is still a part of the artistic process. many very famous artworks in history came about in a very similar way as part of the patronage system even

yeah like i’ve never said it implied that a commissioner puts in as much effort or work as the artist who actually draws it. but it is absolutely a lie to say that their artistic vision & intent was not necessary in the piece.

if i commission an artist to draw my OC Swan, then not only does that involve all of the writing & design work i’ve done for her over the last five years, it involves me accurately describing how her clothing looks and moves, minute details about her body and backstory that i created wholecloth. it involves writing basically creative fiction describing a pose, outfit, context, design etc. usually over paragraphs. i can’t just say, “draw my OC Swan” — i have to be able to effectively communicate a lot of information about her and what i want her doing/looking like in the piece. and that’s a skill, it’s writing for fucks sake.

nobody in their right minds would argue that the person who wrote the lore bible of a tv show isn’t a writer, nobody would argue that the D&D player’s manual isn’t art because it’s just giving instructions on how YOU make art. art direction is an entire job that people spend their entire lives doing. you can misrepresent me to make it look like i’m saying “haha well im the real artist not that stupid painter lol it’s my idea they’re just the printing press” all you like but it obviously isn’t the same thing as “somebody who directs an art piece absolutely is a contributing artist to that piece”. if commission artists get mad about that, then i can only imagine it’s because they don’t respect their clients enough to consider their OCs, original writing, fanfiction or fursona to be art in and of itself.

It's officially New years for me here! I am not the best at words, but I'm thankful for the support that I've received for the short amount of time that I've started posting art more often.

What started off as me wanting to just Archive some art I'm proud of snowballed to so many memories that I'll look back fondly to, so many silly ideas that breached containment that I remember seeing people do (Like the draw your oc reacting to their fave card that me and addie just talked about as a joke, and the Shroompocalypse that was just meant to be an Jade stealing people's yume joke)

I'm glad that I met so many amazing people and discovered new artists on this site! With that said I want to drop a few words of thanks to some of the amazing people that I've met here <3

I've been working on her for a WHILE (like, october 25th) but I'm happy to introduce a new egg oc (of debatable canonical-ness lmao)

Buttercup! the totally not eggnapped child of Ms. Lion and Mr. Wolf!

Her design came to me in a vision, and with the help of the wonderful @semifontos , this kid was made.

I'll talk about her story + some more doodles beneath the cut but I hope you all enjoy the wonderful baby Buttercup!

So I've established what the counselors' jobs are, right? They take care of eggs still in testing? In this particular instance (of debatable canon), Ms. Lion saw that in the current batch of eggs, there was a runt. Just a tiny little thing, small enough to fit in her paw. She knew that the egg wouldn't be able to survive testing for long, so what better option is there than going against everything you know, abandoning your job and your safety, and kidnapping a baby! In trope-y fashion though, She goes to Mr. Wolf's door saying she didn't have anywhere else to go. I was going to make a comic of this but I don't feel like it now >:P. Now Ms. Lion and Mr. Wolf are doing their very best to care for an actual newborn while on the run from the Federation (and their own feelings for one another)

She's got this permanent squinty angry baby face for now. Like a husky with eyebrows. Despite her moody appearance though she's a very sweet baby that spends most of her time around strangers hidden behind her parent's legs.

She's bald for now, because she's a runt baby. Plus if I didn't get hair until I was 3 then neither does she :P

When she DOES get hair though, it'll resemble her Dad's fur more than her Mom's. That design isn't exactly final but her hair is a weird texture atm. Very untamable, like a puppy transitioning into adult fur.

anyways I and probably Semi too would absolutely LOVE questions about this kid.
