"Annabeth." A nonintelligent sound spills from her lips and she rolls over, hand flopping and hitting Percy in the face. He smiles underneath it, pressing a kiss to her palm. "Sleeping beauty. Princess. Wise Girl. Owl head." Annabeth shoves at his face, but it's weak. Her hand falls away before she can do any damage. "We have to get up." Annabeth whines. "Because our friends are getting married today." A grunt. "I know, I know. It's not my fault the bridal party stayed out all night." A huff. Percy laughs. "Come on, love." Annabeth finally manages a word, rough and cracked, "Cruel." "Sure am." Percy leans down and kisses her nose. "Come on, then. Or do you really want to lose the race?" Annabeth's eyes flutter open. "Race?" Grinning, Percy kisses Annabeth's lips. She's slow to respond and it's a sloppy thing, tired but filled with love. She scoots closer but Percy pulls back. "Obviously we have to see who can get to breakfast first." She narrows her eyes. "Loser drives home?" "You're on."
