HIII OTTTOOO I loved them so much they were so fun!!!!!!!

I was so excited to see kais story play out too... ofc I'm sad it wasn't the trans storyline they had first drafted but a pressure based storyline with gender-queer elements is rhe next best thing! I loved the aha- mind the pun- scene transitions when she goes from being the new kid with a baggy hoodie and cropped hair, to being very brightly colored, longer hair in a ponytail, wearing silly outfits and having fun... it was so good... and her animation motif of flying/sinking... and the baseball/softball transition metaphor. SO GOOD also loved her family dynamic etc etc

I REALLLLYY liked how they stitched everything in the end all together too... coach Dan's #1 fan he's so silly he just wants the kids to have a good time playing softball ok...I liked the ballooning out of control visual motif also AGHH the animation in this show was brilliant...cheers and claps

Do you think maybe he was a little bit like a child to them? sometimes i'd like to think of sunday and robin were sheltered when they were growing up under the oak family but sunday was like, Far more sheltered than robin. they had people do things for them within the Oak Family, and even when they do it's not really as much. they probably studied more often than not and probably taught the way around within the Family. their fondest memories are few and far between, like how the concert for two is their most favorite moment.

this then gets me to a point if sunday was actually going to get recruited into the stellaron hunters, i can imagine how he tried to wrap his head around doing casual things they do when they aren't on a mission because he was not accustomed to it. sure, they're interastral criminals but sometimes they probably do average things off script. he knows how to handle people and the issues he has, he's aware of bad things that happens with people and how they struggled whenever they'd confess to him to absolve them off their sin which led him to do all what he did during the 2.2 quest.

but does he know what's it like to figure out where to put your detergent in your laundry, the difference between a white and a red onion for a dish, what's it like for not having enough cash in your wallet, what's it like to have a broken wheel on a shopping cart, and know what's it like that to be the receiving end of an irritated employee that had a long day?

and the thought that he probably learns these things in a new environment with the stellaron hunters where people from all backgrounds have their own aspirations like him. they're different but they're all the same all at once. it's like a strange but harmonious display, all united by a common goal. he sees their experiences first-hand and gets to know them, what kind of people they were, and how they most definitely have dreams that are so much different than he has that it wouldn't intersect. it doesn't make sense first, sure, but they still strive over a single thing and attain that aspiration they have in the first place that at some point, he understands.

I was talking to a friend about how good of a father is batman and he argued that if he really was one he would have his family in therapy. Have you read anything like this in any of the issues? All can think of the top my head is that one Young justice episode.

this is in my opinion, but Batman is a nebulously alright father. Bruce both loves and will intentionally hurt his kids if it’s for the greater good and to protect them. He is a comic book character. To make interesting plots you need to have constant drama, wether it be familial or related to the current comic arc, and for that drama to never fully be quelled so you can recycle the same issues over and over. Comic writers benefit from shitty family dynamics and it wouldn’t be profitable if they had an ok family dynamic that was healthy.

With that out of the way, Bruce doesn’t go to therapy. If he does go his therapist would definitely be Harley Quinn. Publicly he might go to a therapist for his Bruce Wayne persona but would flawlessly portray a playboy bachelor and not address any real issues he has to his therapist. I haven’t seen a comic where he either goes to therapy or gains anything from it. I know in the Caped Crusader tv show Bruce goes to Harley and completely avoids feeding her any true problems about himself and walls himself off completely. This is before he has any robins if I can recall.

Constantly writing a Jason who isn't as mischaracterized as in the comics (2006-2011 for instance) is exhausting. Trying to make him have a believable personality is exhausting, like how emotional is he? How much does he love his previous family? Should he reconcile with Bruce? Whats his relationship with Dick like in this characterization? How do I stick to a canon that doesn't even portray Jason in a stable way? Like girl please.

Getting so fed up I might just make Jason a full on bitch again. Really cleanse the tl with a Jason that does not give a shit. It'd be so much easier fr 😩

i have seen a lot of posts about lucanis & illario lately, that specifically call out that some of the things Lucanis says about him are kinda mean. usually in context of 'yes what illario did was fucked up but they BOTH went thru the fucked up training and lucanis says shit to him too' etc etc. and i'll be honest as someone who does have a contentious/estranged/very-low-contact sibling relationship. everything lucanis said came off as super mild to me and they should both be WAY nastier to each other actually. yes even when you include their dynamic in wigmaker job which was both more lighthearted And heartfelt. but like if you want realism they should be going from that to 1 minute later annoyed enough to break out the super cutting remarks dragging up the worst things the other has ever done/said, specifically becuause they know it will hurt the other most. then i would believe it more tbh.

i came into shadow dragons not expecting much from the writing but am going through it very endeared by marth and nyna's relationship, its really sweet among how most of the entire continent has it out for them

just wanted to share that stranger/secret forest s1, s2, and dongjae spin-off are 3 dramas i hold super dear to my heart.

these dramas aren't my first exposure to kdramas (and im very grateful they are, bc idt many can match that the standards set). but the way stranger sucked me in right from the start (im a huge thriller fan so. makes sense.) was insane.

the way i binged the whole s1, digested it, and then binged the whole of s2,, i think i was possessed LOL. to think that i only discovered this gem of a universe was through the little ad on tvn on dongjae. (thank you dongjae. my pookie ❤️)

i actually have no idea how to coherently organise my thoughts, bc i think a lot of what i have rn is just feelings. i love this universe so much and really, i can't wait for s3, s4, and even s5. (mr cho seungwoo promised an s5, so i will wait for an s5.)

dont think so, they're still competing/fighting at the end of the day! by the time he would be actively interacting with outside people like that again, he'd be similarly jumpy around everyone and really only freak out around his brothers when they act in a way that's particularly triggering for him. i could see outside friends in general being kind of a breath of fresh air for him though, especially early on. it feels like there's less EXPECTATIONS.

and if he had a more positive relationship with kendra, she'd probably notice the difference and treat him differently, while still feigning annoyance and disinterest. he'd probably like the taste of normalcy, even if they're not comfortable talking on a more personal/emotional level.
