How’s Fields of Mistria? You mentioning it was the second time I heard of it, the first time being in passing, so I’m not too knowledgeable about the game.

Fields of Mistria is SUPER fun, since there's not much to do in it after you've completed the first year right now, I've dedicated myself to breeding and collecting all the seasonal variants of horses so I can name them after the four Horsemen of the Apocalypse!

I also named all my barns after metamorphised lovers in greek myth because I have exactly one thought running through my head at any given point in time (Currently there's Crocus Coop where I keep my (gorgeous wonderful lovely adorable ouugh I LOVE THEMMM!!) blue chickens

Cypress Barn where I keep my wonderful cows (who have been with me the longest and whom I cherish immensely! I'm not sure if Autumn cows are possible but I'm definitely aiming for a barn of all red and autumnal cows for obvious reasons)

Minthe Barn where I keep all of my other large animals like sheep, alpacas and my very first beloved Chiron (black and white) and Iris (brown with spots) (the foal is Rigel) 🥺

And Hyacinthus Barn where I have a collection of small animals like rabbits, capybaras and my PRIZED DUCKS LEDA (the pretty blue and green duckie) AND CYCNUS (the pure white duck meant to mimic a swan!!) Even though it's technically a coop, I mistakenly labelled it a barn when I was inputting the name and I never changed it LOL

My farm is also named after THE metamorphosized lover, Daphne herself, so it's called Laurel Farm

And I'm planning for my Seasonal Horse barn to be named after the poplar since I quite like Leuke's story and I think she's fitting of housing the horses that will be the steeds of War, Pestilence, Conquest and Famine :)

Bonus: My house is still small and eclectically decorated, but keeping in theme with my farm, I do hope to go for a flower/garden theme

That is the second TikTok video that has shown up on my FYP that is someone giving a Webtoon artist a hard time for their story about Ganymede. I already made a post about this but I feel like I need to keep saying it. Because I genuinely think there is some level of something (homophobia) that makes people not bat an eye at the dozens upon dozens of Hades&Persephone retellings but lose their minds at a possible Ganymede&Zeus retelling.

And the really frustrating thing about all of this? I'm pretty sure the artist has already said their story isn't going to be romanticising Ganymede's story and I've seen some of their related artwork backing this up. Yet these videos are full of people being passive aggressive and downright trying to bully the artist over it.

So frustrating!!!!

Something that I never understood was when something would happen to a fictional character that would lead to a large scar and the reaction of the character would vary between "I must cover up more to hide this hideous scar!" to "this is a physical representation that my body is no longer really mine" to "they are physical reminders of my trauma and a reminder that my live can never go back to the way it was before"

First off, scars are cool as shit, so jot that down

Second, where are all these characters' anger? Where's the idea that these scars are not just vestiges of a trauma, but proof that they survived the thing that gave them those scars and if they can do that what makes anything else think they stand a chance? This is their body, their life, and these scars are the claw marks of that which tried to take it from them and failed

Or even joy? The scars as proof that their life is better now. That what was hurting them is no longer there and the wounds they caused have been allowed to heal? They went through that and are marked by it, but now have the freedom to see what the rest of their life will bring?

I spent so much time in Limbus, today ... did an extra Mirror Dungeon to show the game play to my friend--and I made sure to show him all the E.G.O of the Sinner he's eyeing--and then I decided to bite the bullet and Uptie IV Sloshing Ishmael. Also decided to Uptie III T. Corp Rodya, and once again found out my plans for Sherry's ability are completely possible in canon. All in all, a very fun day ~

mdarc chapter 4 spoilers (tw negative)

i'm a couple of doors into the mystery labyrinth, and it's getting a little annoying having shinigami and yuma go "but how could this have happened? who could have done this?" when i literally knew it was yakou as soon as the game told me that the poison had a delay. this is so silly like "how could anyone have got past this, they would have died in thirty minutes!" ok! narrow your suspect pool to people who die in the next thirty minutes then! damn!!!

Writing this Final Fantasy 7 fanfic is kind of a weird experience, because I try to stick to the tone of the original work, and Final Fantasy 7 can get darker in tone than what I'm used to. Do I warn for "Canon Typical Hojo"???

Actually, I notice that there's quite a few Final Fantasy 7 stories on AO3 tagged with "Content Warning: Hojo", or "Hojo Being Hojo", so I guess I do? Also, "Bad Dad Hojo", which is relevant since the story is about Chadley. Hojo is not winning any father of the year awards in that one scene in Rebirth where he acknowledges Chadley's existence. Enslaving your kid to work in your evil science lab is also not great parenting.

I don't normally dislike fictional characters, but I think I do dislike Hojo. I don't really... want to look at him. Is this one of those "confront characters" I keep hearing about? It was hard to even analyse him so his actions would make sense in the story. I think he's someone who once experienced not being the smartest person in the room, and made it his life's mission to make sure that never happened again.

This story is also making me like MAI, after being indifferent to her for a while. I'm going with Chadley accidentally creating a person while trying to create an AI assistant, with neither of them having realised it yet. That gives them an interesting dynamic! At least to me.

I just hope I have the energy to edit this story into making sense, so I can finish it. And also to keep playing the original game up to when this story is set. The canon story stuff is happening in the background, and I know roughly what happens, but I really should play through it as well.
