I may have figured out FNAF.

(Aka: "Phone Guy and the inherent tragedy of every developed FNAF character.")

Now, this isn't some deep theory post. It's just my observation watching the characters of the series and what happens to them.

FNAF is and always has been, a tragedy. (Everyone already knows this in relation to the ghost kids, but let's look deeper.)

And all this time I've been wanting more character development for my faves, I failed to realize that they already had it. But in the opposite direction as I may have liked.

You see, FNAF characters - every single one of them that even has a character to speak of - goes through a fall arc. Every single one of them (even the few who get rescued in the end, like Vanessa.)

Michael Afton has a fall arc (Bite of 83, and his gradual deterioration in the Sister Location Custom Night)

William Afton has a fall arc (his envy of Henry leads to his downfall, and then leads to himself getting Springlocked and deteriorating physically as well as mentally)

Other characters can have either a physical or mental state of getting worse as the story goes on, but many have both.

The Glamrocks get dirtier - and most of them are broken by the end. Glamrock Freddy survives but by the end, only his head is left.

There are exceptions to this rule - we don't yet know what Steel Wool is going to do with Gregory and Cassie - but for the most part this story is about everyone suffering because of FNAF, even if they start out in a relatively good place at the beginning.

Now to the part I've been waiting to tell.

All of Phone Guy's calls through the three games are about a fall arc. (Yes, even FNAF 3. It's subtle but it's there.)

He starts out as an older teen/young adult who seems really happy and excited to be a part of the Fazbear Experience. Listening to the tapes, you can hear the smile in his voice as he's reading the script.

But then, gradually, he starts smiling less and less. If you listen to the first tape and then the last tape back to back, you'll notice the fall from grace... What started out as a sweet, happy young man turns into a sad man with guilt and trauma. And even though he is telling us to "Remember to Smile!," he no longer puts any effort into even faking a smile by the end.

And it gets worse when you realize that this is someone who is bearing the burden of something he didn't do. People who are too nice often find themselves bearing the burden of other people's actions. And it feels like this is the case here. Phone Guy did not want anyone to get hurt on the job. Whether they actually listened to his tapes or muted him is not clear, but the fact is it would upset him greatly to hear someone got hurt on the job, and bear the guilt of the incidents. Phone Guy is good at hiding his emotions and pretending everything is fine, but as I'm listening close during a deep dive, it's clear his heart is affected by this.

That's not even getting into what William Afton did... Phone Guy has to pretend to be happy and smiley, but he can't help get passive aggressive when he finds out William broke the rules.

And then, listening to the less subtle ways the restaurant broke his heart... He went from a cheerful youngster wanting to work for a company that seemed like a lot of fun, to someone just trying to keep it together for the next person. By FNAF 2, he "succeeded." He's "lucky" because he gets to be paid more as a manager. But FNAF 2 contains probably the worst trauma ever for him... failing to save five children, and then dealing with the guilt. Then, (for whatever reason), he steps down from his previous position to take the night shift. Well, I have an inkling why, but it's dark. Does tumblr still allow us to say it without censoring it? I think the reason is that he's punishing himself for not being able to do more.

And then the FNAF 1 fall arc. This has all led up to the most unconvincing attempt of hiding his emotions we've seen so far. Phone Guy here is nervous. He's frazzled. He knows he's going to die. (But goshdarnit if he isn't going to talk to the nightguard he's training and try to help as much as he can.)

(And I know a lot of what Phone Guy says is just Scott trolling the player, but I can't help love it and want to analyze it nonetheless.)

And how could this be complete if I also don't analyze the trailer line:

"Hello hello? If you're hearing this, you've probably made a very poor career choice!" - If every other instance of Phone Guy lines can be dismissed as not being dark humor, I think this definitely is. But take a moment and consider: who is he really talking about here? The player is not going to have a long career at Freddy's. Nightguards at Freddy's tend to be a short time gig (for whatever reason). Whose job can safely be called a "career" then? It's Phone Guy. He's talking about himself. He regrets working here and he wants to warn you away from the job... And why would the trailer line be cut from the game? It isn't out of character. It's just something Fazbear Ent would not let him get away with saying.

Basically, this is the first instance of the FNAF fall arc, but it's a darned effective one. It's a tragic tale of a man who just wanted to have fun at a place that seemed nostalgic and happy.

I don't really know what to say to this one. But, then again, I don't really owe you any sort of explanation. You have no idea who I am or what I've been through these last few months, so I really don't know where you get off of that you can speak to me so harshly.

I have very little time to myself, and I am making this IF for free. Between this, I've been helping my Ukranian family seek refuge here. I am paying for their stay. I'm working and studying, too. I get very little free time for this IF. I understand if you don't want to read it, or any of my other WIPs, but I don't think you have the right to talk to anyone this way regardless. I do not owe my time to you. I am not your personal content machine.

If you think you can do better, I truly encourage you to try. Maybe you can take this stick out of your ass while you're at it.

I’ve collaborated with the incredible @aikhako again for N’s birthday celebration! They've, of course, blown it out of the water yet again!

One thing I'm excited to announce for this celebration as well... I have finally moved the demo from inkle to twine! I have edited chapter 1, so it should hopefully flow better now!

Hello everyone! I actually can't believe it, but today, we passed 5000 views and 2500 browser plays for Thrill Seeker!!

First of all: thank you guys so much. I literally wouldn't be here without you guys. The support I've gotten from you amazing folks is staggering. I really want to thank ALL of you for supporting Thrill Seeker, you guys are so lovely and to be honest, the love I've gotten here has gotten me through some really tough times. The friends I've made here are absolutely wonderful.

Your favorite IFs? I don't remember if you have already answered something like this and I'm looking for something to get addicted to.

I've actually been looking for the post I made about this exactly, but here's a bunch more!

@reincarnation-if - A RESURRECTION STORY, BABY!!! I love the author AND the story, I'm totally obsessed with it!! The demo isn't out yet, but I literally can't wait!!

@manonamora-if - I cannot recommend this author enough. Check out her IFs here. I don't even know how to begin describing how amazing she is-- it seems like she can literally do any genre!

@attollogame - I'm sure everyone knows this incredible if but, if you don't, definitely check them out RIGHT NOW! They're going to celebrate their two year anniversary soon, so this is the perfect chance to read the work and find out more about this awesome game!!

@when-life-gives-you-lemonssss - This is nothing like Thrill Seeker, and I love it. It's a cute slice of life with a bunch of awesome ROs. I love domestic games, and this covers all the boxes in the cute game checklist!

@whenbodiescollide - when i saw the synopsis, it immediately caught my attention. the entire aesthetic of the blog plays in so well with the story that i can't recommend it enough!!

@vendetta-if - another awesome synopsis bro. I love revenge stories, and this is probably the best IF you're gonna find of it, baby!

Klaine Advent 2022: Chemistry Sucks (15/?)

Summary: Nerd!Kurt/ Popular!Blaine high school AU - Kurt joins Glee club in his junior year to please his dad, though he’d rather just hide out in the library until he can graduate and get out of Lima.

Turns out he’s not the only gay kid in town. Too bad the other out gay kid is cocky and popular senior, Blaine Anderson. Sure of himself, gets all the solos, things served to him on a platter. Kurt finds him shallow and infuriating.

Blaine finds Kurt square and irritating.

Yet at a party one night, they promise to sleep together if they don’t have other opportunities by the end of the year. A dare. Naturally competitive spirits.

Chemistry Sucks (Day 15: Nose)

Kurt's summer goes by in a blur. Fortunately, interning at a busy production of Rent at the community theatre takes up a lot of time and takes the sting out of missing Blaine. The hectic schedule lets him settle into his new long distance friendly texting normal. As friends. Friends who had an epically romantic night of making out - or was it just epically hot? Either way, now they are texting and friends.

B: Poster of James Dean or poster of Katy Perry for my room?

K: Blaine you are a musical, sporty, popular guy. Despite what you might imagine, you are the farthest thing from a rebel.

B: Ouch. I'm a rebel with a cause. Two show-stopping male-male duets, gender bending heteronormative showchoir conventions.

K: You don't even want to see the look on my face right now.

B: Do you think I'm boring?

K: Of course not. You're just a Katy Perry through and through.

B: James Dean is hotter though.

That night, Blaine sends him a one line voice message, on tune. "I kissed a boy and I liked it," with a photo of his new Katy Perry poster. A little too on the nose.

They text a couple of times a day, about everything and nothing.

B: Got an 83 on my music history test.

...

K: Tried a new low sodium chicken recipe for my dad. There's a reason why we salt things.

...

B: I'm spending an hour in the gym for every cronut I eat. They don't warn you how addictive they are. Like a croissant and a donut making sweet sweet love.

...

K: Got to understudy in the chorus for La Vie Boheme! Not quite the same as you actually living la vie boheme, but I was quite excited.

B: That's awesome, Kurt - on stage and only an intern. And yes, we did have a bit of a crazy night at Chad's loft yesterday.

K: Uh oh. Boys and alcohol don't mix.

B: I'm afraid they do. Sodomy, it's between god and me.

K: To S&M?

B: Not quite any of those things but you know.

K: Not really - stuck here in Ohio, remember? But I assume it was fun.

B: It was.

...

K: So I'm going to go on a third date with Matteo.

B: Third?! Why didn't you tell me about one and two?

K: I just wasn't sure.

B: And now?

K: It's fun. Still not sure.

But Kurt becomes more sure as school starts. With Rachel and Blaine graduated and off in New York, he and Mercedes become the leads of the Glee club. They want to win again, plus he has to keep up his 4.0 GPA to get that NYU scholarship. And homecoming is in two weeks. It's a very busy time.

That night, he ventures outside of his texting routine for an old fashioned phone call - at least that's what his dad says to him when he's texting all the time.

It's strange to hear Blaine's voice.

"Kurt?" Blaine is, of course, surprised.

"How do I break up with Matteo?"

Y’all like Monsters? I hope you do because that’s what I did this week! 8D So I have a comic I’ve been writing for a bit called “Monster” (which I will put a link to as a comment in the notes because Tumblr is weird about links to things...) and one of the things I like to do is take characters from things I like and turn them into well, monsters! Since I’ve been on an Invader Zim kick for a while I thought it was about time to do some for them! I even did a process video for it!

Vorare-Schism (Zim)

Size Rating: Titan (more than 5 stories tall)

Danger Rating: Apocalyptic (even a momentary manifestation of this monster causes natural disaster level damage)

Minions: yes

Nest: unknown

Vocalizations: Makes sounds like distorted or corrupted audio; resembles laughing, crying, or screaming. Accompanied by additional sounds similar to recordings of "space sounds".

Behavior: Roaming/Aggressive

When manifested this creature seeks to consume all matter in its path, appearing to prefer organic matter and man-made structures/objects. It seizes its targets with mechanical-like tentacles and "feeds" them to the mouth like opening in its central mass. It has been reported by magical girls who have survived an encounter with this creature that they find it difficult to look away from the "mouth" and that they experience a feeling of being "drawn in". These reports correspond with those that human and animal victims who make eye contact with the creature do not move or offer up any kind of resistance to it. Once enough matter has been consumed it "regurgitates" it in the form of a much smaller minion, bearing a strong resemblance to the "body" structure attached to it's "head". These minions are tethered to the main creature via cable like tendrils. Their main purpose seems to be to disable or kill anything not dominated by their master. This creature has been seen to move in a somewhat erratic direction as though searching for something. The only deviation from this behavior is when it is confronted by the creature labeled Tinnebriel, whereupon the two will fight until Vorare-Schism eventually kills it after which it will disappear, presumably back to its nest. It is noted that no matter how many times Vorare-Schism has killed Tinnebriel it does not consume it, whether it chooses not to or physically can't is unknown. Magical girls are advised to avoid confronting this creature directly and focus on rescuing civilians. They are also strongly advised not to try to follow it back to its nest as none who have attempted to do so have survived.

Solitaria (Gaz)

Size Rating: Large (between one and two stories in height)

Danger Rating: Lethal

Minions: none

Nest: yes

Vocalizations: none. However, is accompanied by varying volumes of static.

Behavior: Territorial/Provoking

This creature has set up a nest in the remnants of a mall. The reality-warping effects of its nest have recreated the location as fully functioning, with bright neon colors and twisted geometry. Solitaria does not leave its nest and seems to spend most of it's time within it toying with electronics or interacting with the attractions it has created. It has been observed that the substance constantly flowing from its smaller more animal-like skull bears a visual similarity to paint and can be seen evaporating after it has been deposited on the floor, becoming the gas that makes up the lower portion of the main body. The smell has been described as acrid and acidic and indeed victims who have come into physical contact with the substance are found to have moderate to severe burns. At times it appears to become frustrated and throw violent tantrums, smashing and breaking any nearby objects or structures and becoming more aggressive towards intruders. Despite its highly destructive power Solitaria is not inherently aggressive, choosing to ignore intruders unless provoked. What may provoke the creature, however, is unclear, the two most common triggers appear to be making a great deal of noise and attempting to approach it, but other "offenses" have included: knocking over an empty soda can, touching the wrong archaic arcade machine, and looking at it for too long. Magical girls are advised to engage only in groups of at least four.

Tinnebriel (Dib)

Size Rating: Large (between one and two stories in height)

Danger Rating: High

Minions: none

Nest: yes

Vocalizations: Unusual. Resembles young boy reading a series of numbers in a similar fashion to a "numbers station"

Behavior: Territorial/Migratory/Aggressive

This creature is unusual in that while it possesses a "nest" and stays within, it is also prone to moving to a new place and bringing its nest with it. It seems to favor places like museums, schools, and libraries, which has caused concern that this may be a monster capable of seeking information, though to what end is currently unknown. The interior of the nest is based upon wherever it is currently located, the lighting within will be severally lowered or put out entirely and replaced with fog and an ever distant blue light, geometry will fold in on itself and perspective will become distorted. The latter distortions are so extreme that no matter what size of a room or hallway, the creature has been observed moving through them with ease, even when it should not be able to. Of note is a giant cylindrical structure of some kind in the center of the nest made from sheets of metal and electronic parts. It possesses large glass apertures showing the interior to be filled with a swirling phosphoric blue substance similar in appearance to stellar plasma, possibly the source of the blue light. The creature can be seen scaling the structure and attempting to force objects into it, predominantly forms of writing: books, magazines, comics; and electronic items like laptops and phones, lending more to the theory that it is trying to collect information for some unknown purpose. It is very protective of its nest and will immediately seek out and attempt to kill any intruders or people already present in it's chosen location. In a disturbing turn of events, it has been reported that this monster vocalizes human speech, analogous of whatever the most common local language is. Despite this it doesn't seem capable of communication as all it does is recite numbers. Those who have heard it "speak" report feeling dizzy and lightheaded and as though something was "rooting around" in their head. The creature is surprisingly fast and agile despite having no legs and appearing to have lost the lower half of its body. It pulls itself around on it's larger arms and while not capable of prolonged or coordinated flight, it's many wings have been seen to propel it through the air when making large jumps. It has also been seen "flopping" along over rooftops while migrating. The most puzzling behavior however is Tinnebriel's heralding of Vorare-Schism's appearance, to the point that this change in behavior can be used to evacuate civilians in advance. Tinnebriel will abandon its nest and travel to the next location Vorare-Schism will appear in, at times up to a week before manifestation, the way Tinnebriel determines this is unknown. Once Vorare-Schism manifests Tinnebriel will attack it and will not stop until Vorare-Schism has killed it, often by vivisection. After a short time, Tinnebriel's body will dissolve in a manner similar to most slane monsters, but will almost immediately reappear at its last nest. Because of its value in predicting the appearance of a far worse creature it has been decided that magical girls are not to engage with the creature beyond keeping track of its movements and protecting civilians.

Size Rating: Moderate (less than a story, taller than an adult human

Danger Rating: moderate

Minions: none

Nest: none

Vocalizations: animalistic squealing and shrieking

Behavior: Roaming/Provoking

Visible Changes(Steve x fem!reader

Warnings: Smut. Whole lot of fuckin bruh

It was the summer of 83 that changed everything. You had gone to summer camp to be a councilor, and that left Steve with nothing to do. Steve was your best friend, the boy had nothing to do when you weren't around. Three weeks of you not being around was beginning to drive Steve a little insane. He'd see something cool and immediately think "Y/n would love that" or he'd hear a song on the radio and think about you.

But by far the weirdest experience was of him having a... dream... about you. What used to be a fantasy in his mind about Molly Ringwald, was now a high-powered desire for you. He figured it was only him missing you and tried to shove those feelings down, best to his abilities. Then your parents announced they'd be unable to pick you up because they won some sort of vacation cruise and Steve jumped on the opportunity to see you, even if it required driving to Indianapolis to pick you up from the airport.

You stood lazily at the doors, waiting for your parents to pull in with another counselor. "So you're excited to see your boyfriend?" She asked. "Steven is not my boyfriend Bianca." You scoffed. "Right, because we all collectively talk about the same guy for all three weeks." She said. "He's my best friend!" You defended. "Uh-huh. Yeah, okay." Bianca laughed. "What?" You asked. "You're totally in love with him." She declared. "What?" You asked. "You're totally in love with him!" Bianca declared. "No I am-Steven?" You asked as he pulled in. He got out the car, smiling at you. "Hey stranger" he said with that goofy little grin.

Bianca gaped. "Daaaammmnnm" she gaped. "Who's your friend?" He asked. "Bianca. Everything makes so much sense now." She said. "What?" "Please for the love of God ignore her." You sighed as he hugged you. He held you for a moment, him taking in how small you were compared to him. "I've uh... missed you L/n." He said. You smiled slightly. "I've missed you too Harrington." You said, pulling away. He smiled at you before taking your suitcase.

"So why are you picking me up?" You asked, sitting in the passenger seat as Steve drove. "Oh, your parents won that cruise raffle thing. They'll be gone for the whole week" Steve shrugged. "I wish they would've mailed me a letter or something telling me that." You sighed. "Need company?" He asked. You looked over. "Sure." You said.

So there you were, watching movies on the couch with Steve. Your legs were in his lap as you watched Indiana Jones. "I'm telling you, if we could get you the whip and a fedora, you'd make a great Indiana Jones" you said. Steve laughed. "Brown is not my color." He said making you laugh. "That's the only drawback? Brown?" You asked. "Well I feel like I couldn't wear the jacket because you'd steal it all the time!" He said. "And plus, I don't do hats!" He said. "Oh come onnnnn" you laughed, moving your legs off of him.

Steve smiled over at you, looking in your eyes. He kept thinking about those stupid dreams. They were extremely vivid. The way the air felt, the way you felt.... the way you sounded. You dropped the empty soda can in your hand, running your hands through his hair. "Please tell me you actually meant what you were saying." Steve mumbled. "God yes" you whispered before he lifted you up, your legs wrapping around his waist as he sat on the couch, your legs now straddling him. Chapter 1

a/n: I haven't written in a while due to me being dyslexic, busy with work, and not confident enough with my stories. But my mind had a fuck it moment so I'm doing it. Hope you guys enjoy :)

You weren't evil, in fact, you were the complete opposite, but after many years and many generations, the stories that are passed on change. History? You couldn't help but scoff at the thought of the false stories.

Apparently, you were a very evil sorceress that ate children for dinner. Chuckling, you paced back and forth the room trying to think of a way out of the mess that you were in.

You weren't afraid of her, of course not, you were afraid of the mass destruction she will release upon the earth once she receives a word back from her demon, that you were finding solace in a New York apartment. The bitch never got over it.

You didn't expect any visitors, especially this late at night, but it was probably just your neighbor Anna, doing her nightly check-up on the top floor, though she's an hour late so you have your doubts.

You grabbed a knife on the kitchen counter and made your way through the door. " Who is it? "

" I- uh It's the guy from earlier, I have questions for you." You opened the door at the sound of his voice knowing he could do you no harm.

You gave him an amused look and smiled at his curiosity. " Haven't you heard? Curiosity kills the cat, even the big ones."

He was shocked to say the least, that someone would give him an attitude, especially a woman her age since most of them were drooling over him, which Steve never found amusing anyway.

He felt bad for the next words he was about to say cause he knew it would sound obnoxious. " Do you not know who I am ma'am? " He cringed at his words the moment he said it.

Oh, he may be cringing, but you were enjoying every second of it because you may not like the news and have not watched it since 83, but of course, you knew who this guy was, his face is literally plastered on the billboard in front of your apartment building.

" Of course I know who you are, Steven Rogers, you're the one and only, Captain America, but why would you assume that I didn't know who you were? Curios. "

" Well, Uhm..." He looked around trying to find the words to say but ended with saying something that wasn't very pleasurable to you. " I need you to come with me. " You stared at him in disbelief and wondered if he was serious about his statement. " Why would I do that? "

" I saw the Libro Vitae, upstairs when it's supposed to be in Italy hidden deep in the catacombs. "

Huh, captain boy seems to know more than you thought he would.

" How would you know it's not fake? "

" Because no one even knows it exists. "

" But you? "

" I work for the government and I am Captain America, am I not? "

Charming.

" Let me get my shoes and I'll be right with you, do you wanna come in Captain Rogers, you can get the book yourself if you want? " Oh, how easy it was to make this man flustered. " Please come in, I'll make you some tea " You grabbed his arm and gently pulled him in, you heard him take a deep breath before answering you with a soft 'ok'.

" So I assume you already know that I can do stuff since you saw me this afternoon with that stinky demon, " You say as you grab your kettle and ready your teabag.

" It's part of the reason why I'm here. "

You turned around to see him seated on one of the stools.

Instead of giving him the cup over the counter, you walked towards him, making him spin his chair and you stopping in-between his thighs. " What do you want you to know Captain? " You whispered, your faces were so close to each other that you could hear his breath hitch.

He couldn't find the words to answer your question, so you just moved away and handed him his cup. " I'll be back in a few. "

He was taking you to a place called the avengers compound, and when you got there you saw a very familiar face...
