Toji, by all means, was not a man deserving of children.
His terrible childhood and upbringing have molded him into an emotionless and reserved person who only feels as though the only person he needs to look out for and care for is himself.
So when the premise of children came to him, he wouldn't give it the time of day. That is until he ends up having youths of his own. Even then, he would do the bare minimum of taking care of them — food, clothes, shelter, and taking or picking them up from school. And to top it off, his job wasn't befitting of a father — a hitman going mission to mission for money that he used to spend for himself, now going to the needs of his kids.
Toji knew Tsumiki and Megumi were better off without a father like him. Fatherhood (or children in general, for that matter) is no easy task, and it's clearly one he's not good at.
But all that changed when you came into the picture.
Never had he seen his kids warm up to someone, an outsider, so quick. Even when he mentioned his children to you at the beginning of your relationship, you didn't falter and happily wished to meet them. And the day you finally did was the day everything became a lot brighter for the entire Fushiguro family.
Not only did Tsumiki and Megumi come to trust you with every visit, but their adoration for you grew tenfold the more you were involved in their lives. And all Toji could do was watch you do your magic, whether it be watching animal documentaries with Megumi, making flower crowns with Tsumiki, or playing with them and the other kids at the nearby park.
And the most impressive part about it all was you teaching and including him in how he could get more involved with his youngsters. Now, his kids are closer to him than ever, going so far as Megumi clapping back on his father's snarky comments and Tsumiki having the man play tea parties (to his dismay, but whatever to makes his little girl happy).
It wouldn't have been possible if he hadn't had you around. You were just such a breath of fresh air to him and any child that came your way. Attentive and caring to the young ones as if you were a natural at mimicking the maternal role. He knew you'd be a great mother to any child, especially your own.
It was that thought alone that made Toji think about you having children. Or better yet, having a child with him. Making you pregnant with his baby. Making you his.
Toji walks down the stairs after putting his son and daughter to bed, his heavy footsteps beating the wooden floor beneath him with every step. He then enters the kitchen area, where he sees you washing the dishes from today's dinner after putting the food in the fridge.
When you notice his presence, you look up and offer a charming smile in his direction, your face illuminated beautifully by the ceiling kitchen lights that the image almost blinds him.
"Hey there." Your voice is always sweet to his ears, still smiling even when you turn back to washing dishes. "The kids?"
"Just finished puttin' 'em to bed," your eyes stay at the sink, but you can feel his heavy footsteps come from beside you. "But they said I suck at tellin' bedtime stories."
Your giggle is heard through the noise of dishes clacking on the rack. "Well, maybe you're not using cartoon voices like I told you to. They like it."
"Yeah, no, I'm not doin' that shit." You chuckle some more at his complaint, and he grabs a dry cloth to dry up dishes from the rack.
It's quiet between you, but Toji will sneak glances at you while you work through the dirty plates. His thoughts from before return, and all he can think about is you with a swollen belly.
The mere idea of having you bear his child fogs his brain. Witnessing your body change and expand with the growth of your little one within you, it's too much for his mind to indulge in.
The more he thinks about it, the crazier and hornier his mind goes. Unable to function suitably, Toji sighs heavily through his nose and places the dish and dry cloth on the countertop.
You notice him make his way behind you, his hands traveling down to your hips as his chin rests atop your head. But you pay him no mind and continue with your task. "Hey, darlin'."
The nickname has you hum to him, eyes focused on the soapy sponge and plate in your hands while your ears wait for him to continue. "Yes, Toji?"
He doesn't reply instantly, roaming his large palms up and down your waist and hips instead. "Ya know I love the hell outta you, right?" He goes on when you nod. "Always takin' care of me and lovin' me. But that love also goes to my lil squirts." A smile creeps in on his scarred lips as you giggle at his way of referring to his children. "It's just crazy to me how you're able to have 'em follow y'r every step, yet I can't even get a hug or smile before they leave for school unless I remind them."
"Well, maybe if their father didn't always bully and call them 'squirts' and 'brats' all day, they would show you some love."
"Shut up," Toji flicks water from the faucet onto your face, forcing you to laugh more from your teasing. His heart swoons from your laughter, having you sway side to side with his body behind you. "But I mean it; you're so good with kids. Makes me wonder how come you never had y'r own yet."
"I just love kids." It was a simple answer. "Plus, I never really had time to care for a child. Got work and stuff, you know. And besides, I practically treat Tsumiki and Megumi like my kids."
"Mmm," he replies aimlessly.
"However," you resume while placing a wet bowl on the rack. "I wouldn't mind having a little one of my own. Now that I'm pretty comfortable with where I'm at in life, I'd love to have a little baby to share it with."
Toji lets your words sink in before saying anything. Now that he sees where you stand on the topic, finally, he can voice his opinion.
"Y/n..." he treads carefully with the words he's about to say. "I've been thinkin' about somethin'."
"Thinking about what?" You can't deny the uneasy atmosphere with Toji's mysteriousness, yet you listen as you turn off the sink faucet.
The two of you stop swaying your bodies with each other. "How 'bout we have a baby?"
Your body goes rigid at the question, and breathing subsides as your mind goes rampant with reflections too fast to comprehend. He wants a child—another child!? With me??!
"Like, right now?" The only question that escaped your lips, your voice hushed to a whisper. No one else is here in the space but you two, although the talk you're having right now feels virtually forbidden to the tongue.
"Doesn't have to be right now," Toji moves his head to your shoulder, his hushed, gruff voice clear to your ears. "But as long as it's with you, one more kid won't hurt, right?"
And your breath hitches when a hand finds its way to the surface of your stomach, his fingers lightly teasing with the flesh of your abdomen. He places his lips on your neck, and you bite your bottom lip to repress a whimper. "Mmmm, why do you want more?" You still press him with questions despite almost dissolving into his kisses. "You already have a gorgeous girl—"
"I wan' have your girl." He murmurs softly to your ear before lightly biting the lobe, and a moan slips past you.
"A-And...a beautiful boy..."
"I want your boy."
"Toji, please," you surprise the older man by turning your body to face him fully, eyes surveying his. "This is no joke! Just because I don't have my own kid doesn't mean—"
You're silenced when Toji brings a hand to your cheek, cupping a side of your face. "I'm not jokin', sweetie. I know I'm not the best dad in the world — hell, I'm pretty lousy at it. But you," he leans forward while you instinctively go backward, hitting the sink behind you. "You're basically a mother to mine and a real damn good one, too. And since ya said things are good now, why don't I make you a parent fr' real."
"Toji—"
"Like I said: it doesn't have to be today or tomorrow. But as long as it's you," his thumb brushes your cheek as he looks deep into your eyes. "Let me give ya a baby, angel."
All you can do is look into his emerald orbs that examine you for a response. The silence between you two is accompanied by the ticking sounds of the clock on the kitchen wall. And after a few seconds, you sigh and place a hand on the big one caressing your cheek.
"If I say yes," your reply has his brows lifted. "Will you give me foot massages and a bowl of ramen at three in the morning and not be a bitch about it when I ask?"
Toji gives you a smile, his scarred lip tugged upwards. And you return one to him as he kisses your forehead.
"Works fr' me."
This is how the two of you end up in the bedroom; the ceiling lights toned down to a low shade, clothes discarded on the cold wooden floor, and the sound of lips smacking fills the silence.
"Mmmm, Daddy..." You whimper through the kisses, your hands find purchase on his strong shoulders, and you yelp when he bites your lip. His lips gradually embark downwards to your neck clavicle. Kisses and light suck to your nipples make you hum in pleasure, and a gasp prompts out when his teeth graze the bud of your soft mounds.
A hand sneaks between your legs and nestles in between the lips of your southern entrance, his big fingers enter inside with the use of the soapy fluid of your cunt, and you wail from the contact while he sucks on your breast.
"Such a good girl, angel." He lets go of your nipple to coax you, his mouth sucking your skin as his mouth continues its journey south. More licks on your body feel hot, kisses placed on every stretch mark he comes across. And he stops when he passes your tummy, coming up to see the view of his digits pushing to and fro inside your leaking chasm. "My fingers feelin' good, mama?"
"Yesssss," you hiss, eyes sewn shut to concentrate on the pleasurable sensation in your slit. He chuckles at your delighted expression before he leans down to suck on your clit, earning a shriek from your puffy lips. "Stoooop, I-I'm too sensitive—Ahhaaaannn!!"
He releases your tender bud from his mouth after placing a chaste kiss on it. "Sorry, baby, gotta have you nice and wet fr' me." He sucks and laps around on your wetness for a few more minutes before withdrawing his mouth from your leaky chasm, substituting his tongue with his big fingers to swipe on your clitoris. Broken sobs seep out from you. "Cummin' on my fingers and tongue, that's my girl."
The throbbing commotion between your legs has your ears ringing and your head pulsing. You've already come three times for thirty minutes. He's such a greedy man, but whatever it takes for you to prep for him.
Speaking of which, Toji props your legs onto his shoulders while aligning his cock to your folds, lathering the girth with your juices. Your heart beats irregularly with anticipation on the rise, a position you're all too familiar with. Toji sees you gawking at his glans kissing your folds, and he sneers salaciously. "Ready, sweetie?"
You give him a smile even through entering your lustful haze. "Skipped the pill and everything, Daddy." And with a kiss on your cheek, Toji wastes no time and pushes his length into you with every inhale you take. And the both of you moan when the cockhead slides right into your vulva. Every inch of his dick descends into you, making you full of his size, and whimpers fail to be suppressed as he scrapes your velvety walls deliciously.
After letting you adapt to him, his hips start with a slow rhythm for you to properly situate yourself with the mating press. However, with how you're gripping around him, it doesn't take long for him to quicken his pace. Soft wails soon become stifled squeals with the bite of your lips from the growing cadence, and your eyes begin to water when the underside of his shaft grazes your inner walls.
But when the tip of his cock finally touches your cervix, a choked scream sneaks past your restraint. And Toji chortles. "Mmmmm, that's what I wanna hear." He grinds his pelvis deep into your cunt, resulting in forced squeaks from your tongue.
"Ahhhnnn! Daddy, please—Oh, Jesus," It hurts to think when Toji accurately jabs your delicate cervix, tears streaming down your pretty cheeks. "Oh, God, it's too much, too mu—Oooohh!!"
"I know, darlin', I know." He comes down to your face, yet his pace does not falter. His speed increases and becomes harsher by the second, and your head pounds hard with every rut. You nibble on his neck, sucking on his Adam's apple as he drills his dick into you. "Nnnngh, so tight on me, mama. Gonna make me go crazy."
As if he wasn't going crazier already with the erratic rut of his hips. Driving his cock deep inside and the sound of his balls smacking your folds is all you can hear. Your face is now entirely hot, matching the tingling sensation of skin slapped together between your legs. You dare to peek down to see the union of your sexes, Toji's member now harboring a white ring near the base. Strings of your slick and his spit keep you two connected during this moment, and more incoherent shrieks are pulled from your throat.
"Nnnaaaaa, ahhhaaaa!!! D-Daddy, please!!" While there's uncertainty about whether your pleas will be heard, you still express yourself to him. "It's coming, it's coming! I'm gonna cum, gonna cummmm!! Nnnmmph!!" And when he comes down to you with his complete weight caging you in, the pressure of his body has you submit to him completely.
"Yeah, wanna cum on Daddy's dick." He says with his condescending, guttural tone that almost makes you melt onto the satin sheets beneath you. "G' ahead, mama—Hmmph! Make a nice mess while I finish here..." His strokes become ever intenser than before; his length brushes your inner walls, and continuous pokes to your cervix prompt your orgasm to climb faster. And you soon fall into a wave of pure ecstasy, your cunt clamping around him desperately while your body trembles.
And Toji is forced to fall into a release of his own when the walls of your slit contract around him, spilling into you with the flex of his abdomen. His sweaty body is on top of yours, and your breathing matches his as you two experience each crescendo.
Heavy exhales sync as you two calm down within your intimate embrace. Your mind slowly returns from its foggy state with the calm atmosphere soothing your body, and your quivers now subsided while the older man lays kisses and sucks on your neck. But it comes to a halt when a sudden yelp comes from your swollen lips because he thrusts into you again, even with your vulva being extremely sensitive.
He lifts his head from the crook of your neck, and it's not to your surprise that he has a smirk on that dumb, handsome face of his. His lips curled to where his teeth peek from under his scar. "Ya know I gotta fuck you more than once, right, sweetie? Make sure you're all filled up 'n all."
You suck your teeth with furrowed brows, but a smile comes up with breathless giggles. "I'm telling you, Mr. Fushiguro, you're most definitely treating me to daily foot massages when I get pregnant."
"Whatever you say," he shuts your threats with a kiss on your soft lips. "My pretty darlin'..."
⋆⁺。˚⋆˙‧₊✩₊‧˙⋆˚。⁺⋆
Toji twiddles with something in his hand while you lay on his chest in the shared bedroom. The kids were taking a nap after coming from school, leaving the two of you to enjoy the leisure of each other's company.
But today was a different day compared to any other. Because even if you two are looking at the television with the old rom-com displayed, neither of you is actually watching. Too busy distracted with the smiles plastered on your faces to care for what's on the screen. The only thing corrupting your minds is a matter that has you two in glee after a week of anticipation and mutual work.
The man peers at his hand to look at the object between Toji's fingers. Nothing but a pink and white stick — a pregnancy test. And at the center of the device conveyed two red lines, the signature implication that you were indeed with a child. His child.
"Hey, Toji," the call of his name has him look down at you, still facing the television despite your attention not wholly on it. "What do you think they are?"
"Hmm?" It takes a few seconds for it to click until he notices your hand brushing around your belly. He chuckles. "I'm hopin' for a girl. Wan' 'em to look and act like you."
You hum aimlessly at his answer before you berate him with more of your thoughts. "What if it's a boy? I think it'd be cute to have another mini-you running around the house."
"Nah, one mini-me is enough, and he already talks back to me like he's a teen." You giggle at the light sour face he shows and his complaints about Megumi. "Besides, I don't want another me. I'm already a lousy dad, and I didn't have the best childhood. I wouldn't want you to deal with a child that's exactly like me..."
Silence ensues with the answer; it's the only response you deem appropriate. That was the case until you say what was next on your mind.
"Toji, I'm sure your upbringing wasn't the best because people weren't there for you when you needed them. And although that's shaped you into the man I love, even I wouldn't want you to go through all that for a second time." You can feel the weight of his green eyes on you while you speak, though you don't turn to face him. "Nevertheless, times are different. You have me to love and care for you now—you and your beautiful children. You might not be the best dad in the world, but you've done a great job taking care of them."
"Thanks to you." He interrupts you, and you laugh.
"Yes, thanks to me. And because you have me, this little one won't be going through what you went through. I promise you, you're not alone in this. Because I'm pretty scared as this is my first pregnancy. But that's okay since I have you to take care of me. I'll be there to help you, and you'll be there to help me. As long as that's true, we'll do just fine."
Taken aback by your response, the older man turns to the pregnancy test still in his hand. The more he looks at the device, the more he ponders what you said. And a small smile creeps up on him, coming to a decision himself. At this point, it doesn't matter what the sex of the child will be to him. What warms his heart is that you promise to be by his side, helping him watch your little one — his child — his family grow as the days and years pass.
"Now," your voice brings him back to the present, whipping his head back to you. "I can't say the same if we end up with twins. Because you'll just have to deal with one while I have the other."
Toji puts the pregnancy test on the nightstand and goes for your nose to pinch it. "Fuckin' kid, who told you were funny, huh?" Your laughter only fuels him to mess with you more, but that's okay. He's smiling at your silliness, and that's all you want right now.
Because, even if they're not here yet, no child should have a father who doesn't know how to smile.

Tumblr media
ok i'm just screenshotting this because this is a very tumblr PSA
no sources
generalized statement of fear / anxiety applicable to EVERYONE in the USA in ALL SITUATIONS "don't fucking get on a plane in the US right now"
how many ATCs? "a ton"
what have they done? "walked off the job"
how would you describe this? "a nightmare"
random anecdote "i know two different people"
vague threat "prime conditions for another crash"
final generalized statement of fear and anxiety "stay on the ground right now."
then, another poster adds a follow up addition with context -- ATCs have *not* walked out en masse, but rather, certain ATCs at the newark airport have taken a trauma leave of up to 45 days to deal with the emotional fallout from the crash there (which is the real verifiable failure of administration and capitalist resource-cutting)
follow up from OP along the lines of "yeah! totally!" while not at all redacting the general tone of panic and fear established in the original post. make sure to end it with one more foreboding sentence. "a situation like this is inevitable."
check the notes, and sure enough, lots of people panicking in the notes / tags / reblogs because they're about to hop on a plane to visit family or whatever and now they're certain they're about to crash.
good job everyone

because apparently this has become a fucking thing now.
Please avoid the following fics, the troll has been working overtime.
Tumblr media
Ft. Eddie graphically murdering Tommy. Trust me, you really don't want to click on this one.
Tumblr media
Untagged csa.
Tumblr media
Just the rantings of a lunatic. Please be aware of suicide baiting.
I generally try not to involve myself in fandom discourse. It's tiresome and I'm just here to have a good time.
But I have never seen anything like this. It's been what, at least 5 of these types of fics in less than a day. And people have the gall to say that what's been happening this last week is being used to make them look bad?
I saw something about ravisapartment having named names and, frankly, I don't buy it. This person has done nothing but stir shit, so the idea that they'd actually tell the truth about who's been egging them on is laughable.
This person is deliberately misusing the tags in the hopes of hurting people.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's shameful. And honestly, it's not a bucktommy problem or a buddie problem, it's our fandom problem. And we need everyone to make it clear that this isn't acceptable.

Here's a PSA for all the non-partnering aros out there: if you have some savings you can spend? Get a will, living will, and power of attorney, or whatever the equivalents in your country are. Now. I promise it isn't as hard as it seems.
When people die or become unconscious or incapacitated, their legal rights fall to their spouses. If you don't have a spouse, things generally fall to your children or your parents, but it can get messy. So if you aren't married and don't plan to be, there's no real way to know who is going to be put in charge of your assets, your funeral, and potentially your comatose self unless you get the legal documents to determine that. This is how you make sure it all falls to people you trust.
I just got my own done. It took me 2 phone calls, 1 in-person visit, and $850. Mind you, I didn't shop around for the lowest rates because I knew that I could afford whatever it was going to cost. I know it can be done cheaper.
Now, I know that even if I'm not conscious, my transphobic parents have absolutely no control over me. My lovely sister is in charge of everything, and if she's not around, my aunt. I'm not going to get buried under the wrong name. I don't need to worry that if I'm in a coma, some doctor will suggest that maybe taking me off T will fix everything and my parents will be all too happy to comply. And as a bonus, I can make sure that my younger brother inherits all my savings.
It wasn't nearly as hard or scary as hiring a lawyer sounds. It does ensure that if I get hit by a car tomorrow, no one's scrambling to figure out what to do with me.
I understand not spending the money if you're planning on being married within a few years. That is kind of a waste. But if you're non-partnering, it really is worth it. They're all good forever, it isn't difficult to change the will if I decide I want to, and the only reason I'd ever need to change the other two is if my sister died.
So yeah, non-partnering aros, even if you're young and healthy, think about final arrangements and legal documents. For us more than anyone else, it matters.

Jeong Jungkook NSFW reading
Tumblr media
Quick PSA: I'm still going to do all the requests, this post is just kind of a test drive for a new format I want to try since the other really isn't doing it for me. So, yeah. Usual disclaimers to be added.
Position Overview
Many people say Jungkook gives off submissive and breedable boyfriend vibes from his chart, but with Jungkook's Libra Venus being a Cardinal Sign, he likes to be in a position of power in the relationship, or at least likes some kind of aspect of power play. And then with his Scorpio Mars, he definitely likes things to be done his way, playing more into the position of power thing. And then his Virgo Lilith definitely gives me the vibes that he's very playful in all aspects, including the bedroom. Though he's hard to hold onto, and with his heavy Virgo influences in general, leads me to leave he may have some fuckboy tendencies. Playful and hard to hold onto? I dunno.
His Virgo Sun definitely makes it so he'd try anything once, but if he doesn't like it he'll be very vocal about that. He'll also be brutally honest and critical, even in bed. Definitely vocal about thoughts and opinions even if balls deep in you. (Or the other way around who knows? Not me.) But he'll also tell you his needs, how you're doing, etc., etc. He also needs to make sure things are clean and you're clean. In more ways than one. I'm talking he needs to make sure you have recent tests for STDs before even TOUCHING you.
Heavy on his Scorpio Mars, as that indicates he'll have a high sex drive. Most definitely rearing to go almost always, and insatiable in a way though not as much as an Aries Mars would be. Has a lot of intensity and depth sexually. Definitely enjoys power and wants to break a lot of taboos. He's probably willing to do almost anything and enjoys full-body pleasures. On the flip side, he may show his need for control by being unavailable and just not having sex at all for long periods, definitely making you beg for it and giving in only when he thinks you deserve it. Whatever his nature, he will have a way that promises commitment and intensity in bed. He'll be provocative but private, and most definitely will never kiss and tell. Sex is intimate and personal for him, but his fantasies are full-ranging. Out of this world.
With his Libra Venus, he takes a lot of care to please his partners. He needs to make sure he's getting everything right, and giving just as much as he takes despite enjoying servicing you. Definitely into role-play, and most definitely likes learning and improving in the bedroom. Learning new things, changing, and growing sexually? Count him in. He'll definitely be very very picky and particular when it comes to the mood during sex.
Now, he has a Gemini Eros. Very very sexually. He likes to be knowledgeable in sexual matters and is probably turned on by words in all forms, whether written or spoken. Definitely writes letters to the person he's with, and is definitely a fan of sexting and phone sex. Because it is difficult for him to turn his mind off even sex, there is a voyeur within him during sexual expression, and it may be difficult for him to let go. Definitely enjoys talking, and being talked to, during sex. He puts a lot of weight into communications. Definitely a fan of full communication and very clear boundaries and consent during sex. Consent is sexy, especially with him.
So, with his Libra Venus, definitely likes asses. I'm talking about spanking, just squeezing the ass, etc., etc. Asses are the Libra erogenous zone. And with Scorpio? Literally everywhere on his body is sensitive and ripe for the taking. A few touches and caresses here and there will definitely get him going. And then his Virgo Stellium makes his torso especially sensitive. Especially his stomach and waistline. And then his fucking Gemini Eros means he also is sensitive at the arms. Kind of like light touches. Ghosting your fingers up and down his arms is a sure fire way to pique his interest.
His Virgo Mercury definitely means he's very focused in bed. Also very efficient and methodical when it comes to communication with his partner when it comes to sex. Always saying things like "Is this good for you, baby?" "Does this feel good?" "Keep going, just like that..." Essentially, he's going to communicate very straightforwardly, very bluntly, and very efficiently. He's going to make his opinions known, and he's not going to sugar-coat SHIT.
With his Aquarius Jupiter, he definitely can detach when it comes to sex, even though he'd prefer a strong emotional attachment. He can also view sex as a way to help build that emotional relationship and intimacy with someone. In relationships, he will also be prone to using sex as a way to communicate. Having problems? Sex. Basically, expect a lot of makeup sex, angry sex (From arguments), etc., etc.
With his Saturn in Aries I definitely see a lot of impatience. Now, not to say he would just breeze through foreplay and get down and dirty as soon as possible like an Aries Mars would, but that he want to at least start foreplay as soon as possible. Definitely can be very whiney because of it when mixed with his other aspects. This also makes him the type to take risks, especially in the bedroom. Do with that what you will.
House Placements
So, the eighth house represents emotional bonding and intimacy sexually. With his sun and moon in the eighth house, and his sun representing his core personality, sense of self, basic preferences, romantic compatibility, and just in general how he goes about the world, and his sun being in Virgo, this can mean he needs to know people on a much deeper level to be able to be with them sexually. He needs knowledge on them, so definitely more he wouldn't have flings but would have casual friends with benefits. There also needs to be a level of care. His Virgo moon in the eighth house confirms it. There need to be deep, intense emotions in that bond. Also, someone he can understand well.
Aspects
So, with his moon octile Venus he definitely needs a lot of communication, and will both be very vocal and would like a very vocal partner. He also needs someone he's comfortable with. Though...I also feel his purely sexual relationships are superficial and to boost self-esteem, even if he still needs that intimacy in them.
With his Mercury Novile Venus, he's very charming and courteous, including in bed. Definitely still the type to shower you in praise in bed, charm the pants off you and they're already on the damn floor. He also makes sure you're enjoying it too. Especially because it's a Libra Venus and Virgo Mercury. If it's good you'll sure as hell know it's good.
So he has a Venus semi-sextile Venus. Definitely need to watch out for sexual manipulation. What's the masculine version of Femme Fatale? Homme Fatale? THE POINT IS. Just...Watch out. Preferably.
With his Mars sextile Sun, he's definitely into any type of position or opportunity to show off how strong he is. Fucking you while standing? Thigh riding? Fucking you nice and hard? That's that good shit. He's also very competitive so he will MAKE SURE it's good for you. And if it's not? Well, he'll amp it up times one hundred. He's definitely got good stamina, meaning he can go for A WHILE. He also is good at controlling his desires, surprisingly. Mostly because his outwardness and his sexual desires are connected.
And then there's the Mars square Jupiter...Mars square Jupiter natal supplies strength, enthusiasm, courage, and sexual attraction. But he needs an outlet for this high energy. Usually, in the manner of fucking and fucking and fucking. Otherwise, restlessness can build up into aggressive, impulsive, or risky actions. But. this also needs to be safe, with a balance between caution and bravado. Definitely good in bed, I'll tell you that much.
Mercury sextile mars...Mmmm...How do I put this? He's...Fast. Fast as in, fucking jackhammering into you with the speed of the fucking flash and the strength of a battering ram from his other aspects. Definitely feisty. He'll have a fucking TONGUE on him let me tell you. He loves praise, but he'll sure as hell mix in some degradation in there because he can't not. Also seems the type to bully the hell out of you if it's not good. So there's that. Like absolutely demolish you verbally.
Moon conjunct Mercury definitely leads me to believe he's the type who can fall harder for someone during sex. Though again, he wouldn't have sex with someone he doesn't already have an existing emotional attachment to.
With his Sun conjunct Moon, again he has a lot of charisma. But he also has expectations that are high as hell, which is amplified by his Virgo stellium. Definitely expects the most from you in all aspects, including in the bedroom. The sex better be GOOD AS HELL or it won't meet his expectations.
Sun conjunct Mercury AGAIN makes him more dominant. Naturally wants to lead. Also very good with dirty talk, once again.

I had someone DM me recently asking for tips for creating an SU sona and drawing in the style, which is one of my favorite topics to think about and discuss!! I'm definitely not the end-all-be-all of SU style replication and have so much to learn, but I wanted to share my method for anyone interested in creating SU art! So here's a Steven Universe Style Replication guide!
Before you start:
Gather LOTS of references. references EVERYWHERE. I have a google drive folder specifically for Jasper references, but I plan on having folders for each character as well. If you know you're going to draw a specific character a lot, gather references!!!
also, gather references of characters you base your S/I on physically. my sona has traits from both Steven and Connie's body types, so I used photos from their references when creating mine - I specifically used Connie's turnaround as inspiration for the height/posing of mine!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
((you don’t HAVE to create a turnaround ofc, but thinking of your sona as one that needs to “follow the rules” of the other characters’ designs can help creating something that looks proportional and accurate!))
Colorwise, it’s fun to consider your f/o or the characters you interact with before creating an outfit palette -> I specifically use yellow as a base color because of the way it meshes with Jasper’s orange pallet, as well as being complementary to Steven’s pink and Connie’s blue
Drawing:
SU has the benefit (and curse) of inconsistent style and size references. it's partially proportions to the other characters, yea, but it's more in the shape language you use when drawing in the style, which is why references are so helpful!
Tumblr media
(unrelated but I love how this shows how much I still struggle drawing jasper.... even after six months straight of exclusively drawing her. sigh.)
take these drawings I threw together! these are four completely different characters, but they all feel different because of the shape language used:
Tumblr media
even with my own style bleeding in, really focusing in on what their core body is expressing is what demonstrates the character.
this translates to creating your own sona, too - think about how your sona would fall into the shape language. my sona is similar to Connie, but a bit curvier and stockier, which shows especially in the core of the character design!
I know the "belted shape" concept has gone around this fandom for years, but I'd recommend not depending on it as in my opinion it doesn't translate nearly as well as just a general concept of the form - like how it doesn't work as well with Peridot when she becomes tiney
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[obligatory PSA that anatomy knowledge/practice helps so much here - I've been drawing SU for YEARRSSSSS but my understanding of the forms got so much better when I started practicing gesture drawing/anatomy practice]
Expressions/facial anatomy:
so again, SU has so much style inconsistency that the way you draw expressions will vary based on the boarder - this EXCELLENT because this means expressions are really easy to pass in the style! but some visuals anyway:
Tumblr media
most of the time, faces are extremely simplified with one guideline across the face, a little bit higher than where the "cheek" starts if the character has a cheek
if more masculine, the guideline will be a bit higher and the eyes will be shorter
an interesting note with Spinel specifically is that her eyebrow expression is done through her hairline, which is part of her really fun 20s inspired look!
Lineart:
i feel like if anything really makes something look "canon", it's how the lineart is done in a finished piece. if I compare with a couple fake screens/edits I've attempted:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the lineart makes all the difference here!!!!
for specs reasons if you're curious, I use procreate with the "baskerville" brush on a higher stream line setting. I do not have pressure sensitivity, so all of my lines are hand-weighted, but if you have pressure sensitivity you might have an easier time here!
facial details tend to be slightly thinner. eyes tend to be a little bit thicker on either the top/bottom or sides, although it depends
outer borders, major clothing, outer hair tufts and other major features are the thickest lines
sometimes lines aren't used at ALL for various features (gem facets, some more minor clothing details, like the bottom of Lapis' top or the waistline on Jasper's uniform)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[random screenshots I pulled as examples]
the key part with lineart and style replication, though, is that is varies WILDLY by style. as long as you have some line weighting it's really easy to get it to pass as SU style
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
lastly I HIGHLY recommend practicing screenshot edits or fake screenshots if you can!!! I feel like the silly edits I do really help emphasize my understanding of what it takes to make something look like the style, and my little journey into making fake screenshots/"canon" screenshots is a big part of how I've learned to draw in SU style!!!
That's all I have for y'all, make all the SU art in the world!! 2025 will be the Year of Steven Universe Art!!!!

Produce Issues (variable spoons)
Not recipes so much this time, but a short PSA for Americans, because the issues they're about to be facing are pretty much the exact ones we faced with Brexit over here, except worse.
With all the bullshit going on, there's a pretty good chance that produce is going to get mega-expensive over there. A lot of people talk about growing your own vegetable garden, without thinking about how the people who are going to be hit hardest by price increases probably don't have a house with a garden, or in fact a house at all, and many are lucky to have an entire apartment to themselves. That makes having a vegetable garden difficult ... but it doesn't make it impossible.
Storytime: when I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia a few years ago, I needed something. I didn't specifically know what I needed, but I knew in general. I was so angry and scared and ... well, mostly depressed. I'd been down the depression road before, and I recognised the signs well enough. I needed something to get me through the worst of it - something that I could look at and feel productive, like I wasn't a waste of space. And, most of all, something I'd have to actually continue getting out of bed in the morning for. Turned out that for me, the thing I needed was a garden.
I'm fortunate. I live in a decent-sized apartment with no flatmates, a few decent window ledges and even a balcony. Less fortunate in that all of it's north-facing and I live in the UK so it doesn't get a lot of sun at the best of times. Still, I've managed to get some pretty wonderful things out of my windowsill and balcony garden. Mostly herbs, which gives me cookery herbs, medicinal herbs, and just nice-tasting herbs for tea, but vegetables and fruit too. There are varieties of strawberries and tomatoes that do just fine in shaded areas, and peas and some varieties of lettuce will grow faster than you can eat them all. I haven't done so well that I could completely stop buying produce, but I'll get there one day.
I can't give you all the tips - it'll take too long. But I can give you some basic ones, and the titles of a few books that might be helpful for you overall. (I didn't link to the books because regional booksellers.)
Indoor Kitchen Gardening by Elizabeth Millard. This one lets you know how best to use the space you have available and how to take advantage of any lighting conditions you might have in your home.
No-Waste Kitchen Gardening by Katie Elzer-Peters. This one's particularly good because while some of the suggestions are better for outside, it's a guide to how you can grow more fruit and veg from the remnants of the stuff you bought - onions and stuff.
If you do have a balcony, best thing you can get is the humble grow-bag. It's basically like a pot, but ... fabric, sort of. They go well with "No-Waste Kitchen Gardening" because potatoes, onions, and carrots can be regrown from the leftovers of purchased ones, and if you can manage that, you've got a recursive source of staple vegetables.
Another good investment if you have a decent-sized balcony is a composter bin. Potting soil can be expensive, and turning your food waste into compost as well as a source of recursive vegetables will nourish your produce and help make a bag of potting soil stretch.
If you don't live directly in a city (and maybe even if you do, if you've got green spaces in your area), you could also look into foraging. I actually have a forager's guide, but it's for the UK. For Americans, I did a bit of a search and found the 50-State Foraging Guide, which gives basic information and information about regional foraging guides. If you've got the spoons for it, it's nice to be out in the fresh air foraging for things.
If you're going to try medicinal herbal teas, do your research and find a reputable guide. There are lots of them around, so read carefully and try to avoid ones that sound too ... witchy, I guess. I have a copy of Rosemary Gladstar's Medicinal Herbs, which I check against my copy of Culpeper's Complete Herbal - Culpeper's is old, but it's been an authority on herbal medicine for hundreds of years, so it's still pretty helpful.
Things are really tough for everyone right now, I know. There's so much going on, and so little of it's good, and it's easy to feel depressed and powerless. I honestly did find that growing things helped me feel less powerless on the whole. I'd made life happen! I'd created life out of dirt and water and hope. I've had mornings when my breakfast was alpine strawberries fresh off the plant. I've got coq au vin marinading in the fridge with three sprigs of thyme I got just by walking onto the balcony and snipping them off with the kitchen knife. I found there's no going back to dried oregano when you've had it fresh. I've learned how to dry various herbs and even my cayenne peppers. All of that was because I lavished love and attention on a pot of dirt. Which is how I think about it, because seeing an indoor garden for its mental health benefits is a lot better for ... well, the mental health ... than thinking about things like this being necessary because capitalism is bullshit and designed to crush us all.
I hope this helps. I know that nurturing something green and useful helped me. But seriously - even if you just have a little windowsill - oregano, thyme, rosemary, mint, lemon balm. They will survive anything you throw at them. Then work up to basil because homemade pesto sauce is awesome. (Though you can make lemon balm pesto too, and it's less pernickety about its growing conditions than basil tends to be.)

Have you written your thoughts in Infinite Jest anywhere? I'm interested in your thoughts on it and DFW's work in general, since you mention him alongside the classics as influences on you, and seem to consider him the most recent "Important Author" in the history of literature.
I've read all three of David Foster Wallace's novel, including the posthumous Pale King, but it's now been over a decade since I read Infinite Jest. It might be time for a reread.
Infinite Jest has a reputation, especially in literary circles, as "the book posers who don't read books read." The stereotype is your young, 20-something male, who has never read a book in his life, who either reads Infinite Jest or pretends to read it for the cred of looking intelligent. This has led to most of the literary circles I've frequented to hate the book, though it's always been difficult for me to get out of them what they hate about the book ITSELF, rather than this perceived demographic of people who read it. (At best, I've gotten some of them -- all of whom were drug users themselves -- to accuse Infinite Jest's anti-drug messaging as being akin to a Reefer Madness PSA.)
The Infinite Jest reputation has simmered down in recent years. I think Blood Meridian is replacing it as "the book young men who don't read say they read." I can fully imagine it receiving a similar backlash founded entirely on its readership rather than its merit as a work.
Infinite Jest itself is somewhat strange as a work. Despite being the foundation of post-postmodernism, it really has little in common even with people who directly knew and were influenced by DFW, like Jonathan Franzen or Dave Eggers. It is a work that borrows heavily from Pynchon, and its rejection of Pynchonian postmodernism is done primarily through rather oblique thematic and structural processes rather than through a difference in style or tone. Infinite Jest's grand trick is being played on the idea of the postmodern anticlimax, where a work ends abruptly and deliberately unsatisfyingly. Pynchon did this a lot, especially in Lot 49 and Gravity's Rainbow, where he refused to elaborate on the massive conspiracies that drive the plot, and where most characters simply ebb out of the narrative by the end. In Infinite Jest, the trick is almost so basic as to be facile. The book begins with about 100-200 pages of disorienting, contextless scenes, most of which makes little sense to the first-time reader. But after the book ends, with a Pynchonian anticlimax, the reader can go back to those first 100-200 pages and realize they are a flash-forward set after the end of the book that explains the results and outcomes of most of its major mysteries and plot threads.
I say this is basic, but the whole reason I know about Infinite Jest was because I was recommended it in college by a stereotypical "Only reads Infinite Jest" guy who was entirely unaware of this trick, and who wholeheartedly believed the story simply ended with no resolution and had no further explanation. He thought this was awesome.
Infinite Jest's structure rejects postmodernism while being, aesthetically, postmodern, and I've always found that to be a more sophisticated reaction to postmodernism compared to the myopic and inward-looking autofiction that has become extremely popular in the current literary landscape. DFW rejects postmodernism's cynicism and nihilism, its inability to find order in the infinitely complex modern world where no absolute truth exists, and does so not by sealing itself away from that infinitely complex modern world into a small-scale personal narrative that is blind to anything beyond the narrator's immediate perspective but by embracing it fully. In this way, Infinite Jest is similar to later works like 2666, Everything Everywhere All at Once, Spider-Verse, Homestuck, Umineko, maximalist works that nonetheless try to make sense of that maximalism (to varying degrees of success), and not similar to the insular family dramas of Jonathan Franzen, even though Franzen was DFW's personal friend and acolyte. And like most of those works, Infinite Jest has a pop cultural vibe to it, embracing so-called "low" culture without shame or remorse. (This was another criticism my literary circles gave of it, that it was too "middlebrow.") I am increasingly coming to believe that pop culture is the new domain of the avant garde, that the most unique and ambitious works are coming from that sphere. Maybe not the forefront of that sphere -- I'm not talking about the MCU here -- but in its fringes.

((Hey so here's some personal thoughts of mine about interacting with longtime writing partners-especially the ones who you consider buddies outside of rping-from me to you cause I've been thinking a whole lot about it this morning.
I've seen a lot of PSAs about RPing in general which has been all good solid advice and I have nothing really to add to it. It goes without saying I strongly agree with doing things like curating your spaces, putting yourself, your health and personal time before your hobbies, being respectful of your rp partners needs and comforts, not taking things personally etc
I would like to add though I haven't seen a lot pertaining to maintaining, nourishing and upkeeping your writing partnership and I personally really would like to see more. For me writing and rping is indeed a fun hobby and never should take precedence over one's own health or personal life. But especially with folks that I've come to know and care about outside of RPing, spending time rping and chatting with them about our OCs is also an important facet of the friendships that I maintain with them. So in light of that, my thoughts about that such as it is. Under a cut it got a bit long sorry
Make a point to let your writing partner know how much you appreciate them and the time they can give you. A lot of us have lives and work outside of tumblr. Sometimes shit happens in real life or we have to deal with things like mental health issues, disabilities, chronic illnesses and the like. All of that and more can steal the few precious spoons partners can spare. Always ALWAYS tell your partners thank you. Respect the time they can spare. You don't know what they may be struggling with. So please be kind, please be understanding and please be patient.
On that note also be excited (as much as you can manage of course) about what ya'll rp together-the plots, the ideas, the ships whatever. Please let your partner KNOW you are interested and that you care about the things ya'll are creating. Fuck cringe. If you're my writing partner by god I love for you to come busting in my DMs anytime and shove some random meme in my face or quote or some weird thing you found at the thrift store and be like 'This made me think of your OC'. Let. Them. Know. You. CARE. Obviously you don't have to be doing this every hour on the hour but let me tell you on shitty days that I've been so beat down I want to give up on everything and become a hermit, one mutual just sending me a silly little thing and being like 'look it ya OC' has sometimes made all the difference in the world.
Also please communicate clearly with your partners as much as you can manage. This is something I put as a reminder for myself too and something I'm trying very hard to be better about. I'm a neurodivergent writer, sometimes I just have real trouble trying to organize my thoughts, communicate my wants and needs and make myself understood to my partners. Especially when strong emotions get tangled up in that communication. Still if you're comfortable enough and have a good relationship with your partner, don't be afraid to approach them talk things out with them as needed. Particularly pertaining to more difficult things, be it a sensitive scene in an rp you're both trying to plot out in writing or something that was done or said in conversation that didn't sit right.
Going on that last part, I'd also say be careful and thoughtful about navigating disagreements and perceived hurts and slights. It's why it's good to always work on maintaining and strengthening a healthy separation between personal feelings and RP stuff. Because if you don't things will get weird and uncomfortable so quick between you and the people you interact with. Please try not to take things personally. It can be hard! My general take on such things is that if something your partner is saying or doing, inside or outside of rping, is really eating at you, the first thing you ought to do is step back from rping and give yourself some time to ground yourself, sort your feelings and mentally touch grass. Also think over the nature of what exactly bothered you, why it bothered you and what's your personal boundaries about it. Is it something minor that you can overlook, move past or resolve? Or is it a deal breaker for you? There's a lot of things can be talked out and dealt with positively, privately and in a calm and adult way.
Sort of related: please don't let any RP drama and shit interfere with or destroy a genuinely good friendship. I love and enjoy my OCs they reflect varied aspects of my personality as well as ideas and very personal experiences that I'm processing and sorting through. But I also recognize those OCs are fictional. They are not my mouthpiece. They are not me. RP drama also includes rifts that may pop up over romantic shipping which unfortunately can sometimes be very emotionally loaded-look I get it, we're all anxious and neurodivergent and human. Fictional feelings can affect us, it's all valid. My own take on that is that NO fictional OTP or OT3-4-5-6 whatever will ever EVER be more important to me than a real live human being and honestly if you find yourself getting to a point where anything along those lines are causing serious and lasting rifts in a writing partnership, making things super weird or blurring a line between reality and fiction then one or the other party or whoever is involved really needs to step back, reassess themselves and maybe take a break for a while to get back in a better and more grounded headspace.
Also let me just say your RP partners, especially the ones you've been rping with for a while and built up a good relationship with are not to be treated like disposable tissues to be discarded when the next new Shiny Thing or New RP Partner shows up. That is IMHO very hurtful and inconsiderate of the feelings of your writing partners. I've unfortunately had it done to me but also looking back in my own past experiences, I've realized that there's been times I've gotten hyperfocused on one thread/storyline or interacting with one or two ocs and while yeah hey it happens-thanks neurodivergent brain-I did feel like I ended up making writing partners and friends I genuinely cared about feel neglected or ignored and caused them to drift away and strained our friendship outside of rping. I honestly regret that a lot and here recently I've been trying very hard to change that. I feel I can do better in that regards and I am actively trying to do so. Trying to be kinder and better about distributing my attention more equally to my rp partners new and old.
But honestly like. I guess that's kind of the whole thing I think I'm aiming for through all this longass rambling, to just be kinder and more considerate to your rp partners. Listen to them, talk to them, encourage and uplift them, don't treat them like your personal entertainment machine, be mindful of their personal comfort and boundaries and do your best on your end to ensure that rping continues to be full of the kind of experiences that are mutually enjoyable. And of course most importantly in the midst of that, take care of yourself as well!
I really believe in the idea that if you put good out in the world then good will come back in turn. Even if it is just a hobby or a past time! God knows the world is so fucked up right now, we need all the enjoyment and distractions-and solid friends-we can get. So ultimately being a good and considerate person to other people even in the most minor of interactions can only make things better for everyone in general. I truly believe that and I'll continue to do my best to ensure that the folks that interact with me here and the folks I can call my friends and all the wonderful variations in between will enjoy themselves. Anyways love ya'll be good to each other <3))

3D by JK (feat. JH) - my take.
Ok, unpopular opinion maybe, and I might get my ass beaten for this (not in a good way 🤣)
Feel free to disagree RESPECTFULLY.
Disclaimer: If anyone comes at me with that cancel bullshit I will block you, because we all get to have an opinion.
If my post enrages you, scroll past until you can be civil, then come back and talk. Or block me. I dont mind.
And don't tell me that because I don't love this song I have to hand in my ARMY card... I'm not going to.
🙂💜🙂
I'll start by saying I love JK so, so much. Adore him. Will always support him.
But for me, 3D is a misstep.
Tumblr media
My feeling is Hybe should have reconsidered releasing it as it is.
JK's lyrics are fun and sexy. The innuendo is on point. The melody is great and the chorus has excellent sing-along value. Even though I'm not a huge pop music fan, I like the vibe.
The MV dancers are awesome, and I got a kick out of the fire hydrant metaphor.
And in that jacket with nothing under it, JK looks hot enough to melt asphalt.
However....
Including Jack Harlow's rap IMO is a mistake. It sucks, frankly. Not in a good way.
It not only misses the mark on the tone of the rest of the song but his lyrics are really just offensive. Misogynistic. And racial refrences are just... not cricket. It's 2023 not 1995, regardless of what his hairstyle tells you.
His lyrics sound like an incel bragging about their sex life when all they've ever done is watch porn. From his words, I doubt he knows how to please any person but himself.
His message is gross, but its still just... generic. Like he went to urban dictionary for spicy language and then googled how to treat women like shit. There's nothing original about what he's saying. He's not even being gross in an intersting way. It's gross AND boring.
(Jack, if you're reading this, sorry my guy you gotta do better.)
I've been army since 2018 and this is the first BTS song I have tried to find merit in and given up.
I honestly tried to be into it and i just... can't. It doesn't sit well with me.
This is a new experience for me because even when BTS release something i don't immediately love, i still stream and watch and let it sink in, or I work on figuring out what I am missing and why it's ACTUALLY good even if i can't grasp it.
This... it's just... not good, in my opinion.
I have to clarify here...
It isn't about explicit content, i am totally down for that. If anyone read my post on Seven, they will know my response to that song. In a nutshell, I believe all adults who want to, should happily and shamelessly be doing ALL the horizontal tango. Every type, every day, in every way. With anyone and everyone they fancy as long as all parties are informed and consenting adults who are equally enjoying the experience.
Yes. I am all about getting down.
That doesn't mean treating your partners like a body count or using and abusing them with no consideration. That's not cool.
**PSA: please be safe and use protection. Get tested regularly if you have multiple partners. Don't do anything you don't feel good about and dont stay with partners who harm or manipulate you 💜**
Now, back to the smut.
Some criticisms i saw of Seven were about how dirty it was. A few people were upset because JK said fuck, and because he sang about how and when he liked to fuck. But more criticism was levelled at Letto. Why?
It seemed like it was because she's a woman, singing about sex.
Letto totally owns her sexuality and she knows what she wants. I snorted with delight at how deliciously filthy her lyrics were. Some very clever wordplay made her verse so visceral, and pretty shocking to the pearl-clutchers, without her ever saying anything directly. I really enjoyed it.
She was telling us straight up how good she is in bed. Good for her. She totally rocks. And she wasn't disrespecting anyone. She didn't need to do that to make herself cool AF.
The difference between Letto's rap and jack harlow's is that jack sounds like he's just looking at the women he's singing about as a hole to stick his dick in. Women have fought for long enough for equality and respect. They don't need this bullshit. You can sing about getting down, and you can be absolutely filthy and nasty and wild, and you can do it without degrading your partners.
I did read a theory about this song being social commentary on toxic masculinity. You can find it here and you can read it below:
Tumblr media
Its not bad as a theory. At least it wouldn't be if Namjoon or Yoongi or Hobi - or Jungkook himself - had written the song. If that were the situation we'd see some inkling of self awareness in the rap, and maybe a hint of character development. But there's none.
Sorry ARMY, this is not the class of lyricism we have come to expect.
If jack is trying to make a social statement^*, or play a character, he is not succeeding in showing any growth or humanity at all. He's really just that stereotype.
In the last few lines, after he offers to fly his victim from Korea to Kentucky, he says "and you ain’t gotta guarantee me nothing I just wanna see if I get lucky."
How considerate...
All I see is zero care factor about the actual person he's trying to get with. Which is quite different from JK's lyrics, which show awareness that he's interacting with a conscious, living human being, not a piece of furniture.
jack follows with "I just wanna meet you in the physical and see if you would touch me"
Ugh. Not with a ten foot pole, douchebag.
And how about, in his first verse "All my ABGs get cute for me"
Good god, really? Is he seriously saying this?
So its a no for me.
The ONLY saving grace is that there's an alternative version which is pretty fun. It's almost as if Hybe knew we would hate the version with jack harlow. Wow, such insight!
Now, i know that's not the only reason they made an alternative. They needed a clean version for US radio play (let's be real, what possible other purpose can this song serve? *°)
But they could have censored jack's... actually they couldn't. The rap verses can't be salvaged. They genuinely have no merit, the only hope for the song is totally removing them.
What does that tell you?
ARMY will no doubt still chart the main track but personally, I would feel morally compromised if i supported that version. So I'll stick to the alternative and hope for better things to come.
------------
^* Stylecaster doesnt think so either. I visited their website to check thr lyrics. They said, of D3, "Meanwhile, Jack Harlow brings the cool with his two verses as he raps about all the women he could pull"
Uh, really? I hope that's intended to be ironic.
*° The MV had only 4.5million views after 12 hours. And we know what brilliant strategists Hybe employs. I am travelling in Korea right now. There was no promo visible here. And it was no accident that it was released at lunchtime on Chuseok - the biggest famiily holiday of the year - when relatively few people in Korea would be available to engage with it. THEY KNEW IT WAS A STINKER.

hello wonderful people ... if you're seeing this, it means you survived the purge! granted most had been inactive for over a year, but anyway- i thought it best not to move blogs again. changes have been made, however : pinned & header have been updated + new graphics (back on my glitchy aesthetic i fear) as has the carrd. whenever you have some time, please give it a reread. some details of their past & verses have changed &/or added to. there's been a big change to the post-loop verse. i do still need to write up some aus though, & their relationships to oneanother. exclusivity is now only reserved for shipping (which i am now very picky with & will only ship with close friends). affiliates are reserved for friends whose muses stories / arcs are intertwined in some way ... you will notice that section is now empty, i will reach out to those who were there in the coming days, & if we're pals & you'd like to be affiliated in some way ... shoot me a message ! mains are free real estate if we've wrote a decent amount / chatted ooc. also, i apologize if this next section comes off as blunt, but it's one thing that's been giving me a lot of anxiety here for a while (this is a general psa & not directed at anyone in particular) : please, if you are no longer interested in writing with me, soft block. i'm here to write & make friends along the way, developing dynamics & all that fun stuff. if the vibe is no longer there i understand. but when interactions are completely one-sided or ignored for a long time it feels more than a little disheartening as if i'm being annoying. i'm aware i'm slow with writing & i'm sorry about that. also life happens & i understand that very well too. but please, never be afraid to reach out! i love ooc chatter, whether rambling about silly muse things, or gaming or just talking about whatever. if i've done something to upset or offend, please also reach out so we can work things out. i consider mutuals friends & i never wish to upset my friends (or anyone!) i will also be bringing back fugo & prosciutto, but as low(er) activity side blogs.

@devine-fem 's comment on my last original post, I can't believe I've never mentioned how much I love Roy Harper before, I should amend that immediately /j
I love like... everything about him. Roy Harper in the golden/silver ages? Absolute baby, I adore him. He had SO much trust in Ollie, and he was a sweetheart! He was the secretary of the Green Arrow fan club! He had a stamp collection! And even as a small child he was SO unhealthy, like my go to panel is this
Tumblr media
Which is literally baby Roy willing to sacrifice his life to save Ollie, baby boy was going into that with FULL belief that he was going to die and he did it anyway and there's SO much I could say about that. I love Ollie, I've defended him in so many situations, but holy shit he raised a child to have issues. But little Speedy Roy was the sweetest thing!!! He wanted Ollie to pick him up ice cream!! He was just a little guy, a little fella!!
And then Snowbirds came along and obviously changed the way Roy was written, it was a major turning point for his character because it was really the comic that initially fleshed him out- before then yes obviously he did have his own distinct personality that differentiated him from the other Titans but at the same time that was VERY clearly a point in which he went from being a traditional child sidekick to being Roy. It gave him his own morals, his own struggles, and his own determination. Remember, Roy made the choice himself to get clean, he wasn't forced into it. Obviously Snowbirds has its problems, it was a PSA written in 1971, but also it was sosososososo foundational in developing who Roy is as a character.
There weren't too many comics featuring Roy between Snowbirds and Lian's birth, but they are also so interesting. I'm pretty sure it's Green Lantern (1960) #100 but also I'm rambling and I'm too drunk to fact check so I'll reblog tomorrow if I'm wrong but there's an issue where Roy goes back to Star City and you can SEE his desperation to be a hero, you can see his determination, and it's so beautifully written and in the epilogue Ollie tries to have a talk with him, tries to make amends after what happened and you'd EXPECT that Roy would take that, that it'd be water under the bridge, but Roy has his own agency and he fucking leaves!!! Because he's not ready to make up with Ollie and he has his own agency!!!
And then the second big turning point in Roy's career is when Lian is introduced, and you can SEE how much of an impact she has on him as a character! At the end of The Cheshire Contract Roy says he thinks Lian is gonna change him and he was right! She does! He goes to Ireland and meets Moira and Buttons (I think those are their names? Again, not fact checking this post) and looks after them and that's the start of his development as the "dad Titan", and he loves Lian so much!!
Tumblr media
This panel from Rocks and Hard Places makes me SO emotional because he loves her!!! She's the most important person in his life!!! Plus his relationship with Jade is SO compelling to me, because he loves her and he'll always love her and she loves him too (even if a lot of writers have done their best to make that not the case- I love Jaderoy and I will always love Jaderoy)
And he's also generally such a good guy, I don't have the panel screenshotted and I can't remember the issue but there's that New Titans issue where Kory kills someone and she tries to justify it to Roy and he's just like "you don't need to explain it to me" and I wish his friendship was explored with her more because they had SO much potential as friends.
And then and he's SUCH a good mentor figure, like in New Titans #116 which is my go to issue for anything mentor Roy related because it's SO GOOD! He's constantly trying to wind the kids back to make sure they're okay, telling Terra II to not get too cocky, making sure Grant's okay (and the "yeah no wonder I'm in charge" panel when Grant suggests blowing Gar up is my favourite) and expressing genuine concern when Bart attacks Kyle recklessly and I WISH his relationship with Bart and Terra II had more susbstance because it's so good
Then there's the Arsenal Special which is really the comic which explains WHY he's called Arsenal!!! I've made so many posts about this comic and I love it so fucking much because he fucking takes all those guys out with only shit he can find then takes all their weapons and loads them onto himself while giving a badass monologue which, from memory, goes something like "he thinks I was was sent here to kill his daughters. Well guess what, I have a daughter too. So it all comes down to his daughters or mine. Who gets to think their daddy's a hero, or some thing that crawled out of the dirt. Get it through your head, 'cus it ain't gonna be mine". I love him. I love him so much.
Then there's Teen Titans (1996) #12-15 which I recently made a post about but it's a comic I'm SO greatful to have physical copies of because it's so fucking good for Roy stuff. There's so much on how others percieve him- I love the fab five, but they (well, the boys, Donna wasn't in it because she was mourning Robbie's death) have such a derogatory view of Roy. Like Dick's "he's good but not good enough" and Wally's view of him as not good enough to lead (which is brought up again in Titans 1999 secret files), and the constant references to Roy's addiction in that comic. Then he gets his Green Arrow inspired suit (very Red Arrow of you, late 90s) which he brings on to the Arsenal mini, and his whole fascination with the suit because his biggest dream is being good enough for Ollie, he IS way more than good enough for Ollie which was clear even from the end of Snowbirds but my boy has issues, and then Joto dies because of the explosive arrow he fires which IMO should have fucked him up more than it did but it also absolutely did fuck him up at least in that comic and in the Arsenal mini and there's probably more I could link that too but again, I'm drunk.
And then there's the Arsenal mini. Holy fuck I love the Arsenal Mini. it's so fucking good for like, all his familial relations in the Arrowfam in the late 90s. The flashbacks to Dinah and Roy during Snowbirds and Dinah's "the bravest person I ever met was the one who was flawed" speech, that panel of him resting his head on Dinah's shoulder, the fact that that entire story was fueled by his love of Lian, his talk with Connor about Ollie and how Roy never wanted to be Green Arrow he just wanted Ollie to have asked? It's so fucking beautiful and I love it. And the fact that he WAS gonna team with Vandal to save Lian, he's a father first and a hero second, but he thought about it and decided that there had to be a way to be both and he was right!!! He's so insanely good and I love him, he has a reputation of being a bad boy but he is SUCH a hero it's beautiful.
Then comes Titans '99 which I really can't do justice just talking about. He's so incredible in it it's insane. Like his father/son dynamic with Grant is so beautiful to read, he loves that boy!!! He loves that boy like he's his own flesh and blood and I will take no criticism!!! And his relationship with Donna is so painful to read in that comic because he's such a romantic and even though their relationship was gonna fail from the beginning because of the nature of it and because of Donna's reasons for it he still kept on it because he loved her!! He loves her so so much that he's willing to have his own heart broken for her and good god my boy is unwell. Plus it's the peak for Roygarth, their relationship in it is so great and their talk in issue 16 is amazing and I love it, plus Roy's genuine heartbreak at the possibility of Garth being dead just gets me. And while it's overshadowed by Outsiders, there is a lot of Dickroy potential in Titans 1999, Dick being so loving towards Lian with the "yumyumyumyum" panel in issue 1 and him generally just being one of the closest people in Roy's life, plus Roy being one of the only people who are willing to actually call Dick out on his BS and that being the thing that breaks that out of purgatory? Chefs kiss
And who would I be without mentioning Green Arrow 2001. I'm tired now so I'm not gonna talk about Archers Quest but I can't not talk about Boys Night Out because!!! He's so good in it!!! His speech to Connor that sounds SO much like a coming out acceptance speech, taking Connor to a bookshop despite his own boredom because he wants Connor to have a good time, the brotherly teasing while Connor's driving, him calling Connor out and supporting sex workers, him protecting Connor... it's the perfect issue. Anyone who hasn't, please read Green Arrow (2001) #32, it's so fucking good I promise.
And finally (and I mean finally as in I cba to talk about Red Arrow because I'm getting sleepy), Outsiders which is. So fucking good. Oh my god. Like him forming a team just to help support Dick through Donna's death, the fact that once again he's underestimated but this time Dick stands up for him, him getting shot and getting PTSD because of it (Oursiders 2003 #11 love of my life), everything that happens in this run is SO FUCKING GOOD AND I LOVE ROY HARPER!!! And for once he actually stands up for himself when he's called a junkie!!! He punches Dick in the face!!! As he fucking should king!!! And issue 45 (I think?) Is the best because it's. So good for him and Lian. His protectiveness over her, his love for her, and her being able to see when he's not okay. Beautiful outstanding and incredible.
In conclusion I LOVE Roy Harper because he's the best dad in the world, he loves everyone so much and will never stop, and he's just. Such a good person. I love him. I love him a lot.

okay so a teensy psa in terms of my muse shuffling:
chelsea, charlotte and heather have all moved to my private muse list simply to reflect that they are mostly there for certain individuals at this point. they can always be requested and plotted with just like my other private muses, but in trying to re-organise my active list to be those characters that i am either actively writing a lot or can easily jump back into, i figured it made more sense to move them
garrus made it onto the active list, he's staying, hopefully for good this time <3
i have taken viago off of my muse list for the time being ( though he will remain on my secret menu for skells and our thread <3 ). i doubt he's gone for good, i suspect i will bring him back at some point, but seeing as i don't plan to replay veilguard anytime soon and i'm quite happy at the moment just exploring varric in that timeline, i'm removing him for now
my scoops troop sideblog still exists ! as soon as we start getting drip-fed st5 content you bet i will be hopping over there again lmao
i've also done a bit of a revamp of every muse's page, and have started listing important meta ( so you can all judge me for the muses i don't shut up about and the ones that i rarely ever talk about on the dash and just write instead lmao ) and just generally tried to make the pages more uniform, especially as some muse pages are several years old and haven't really been updated much in that time
i have some tweaks i wish to make to my tags but otherwise i think i'm happy

What the concept called when you just hear the author with every word? Author's voice?
Outside of autobiographies, or let's call them "1st hand" stories this style just seems like such a crutch, but apparently it's still popular enough to be in random books.
Like damn, I can't get immersed in this book for shit because it always feels like the author is breathing down my neck trying to make super sure I get all the #Awesome and #Cool things they added to the story, or all the #Critical commentary, and I better be sure to understand it. Bromodachi, if your writing is on the level that I could sniff out your tiktok behavior and just know what you rant about on twitter just from opening the book, then you're a touch too much.
I know books will follow the authors ideologies to a certain degree, but too much author spittle spoils the broth. I can literally taste the frothing foam from your mouth you used to mix up the ink for printing.
--
*cackling*
Having a strong voice is generally considered a good thing, so I wouldn't just use that term for this.
I suppose I'd say that the author intrudes too much on the narrative in an undesirable way or that they stick too many PSAs in a book where they don't fit or something.
There isn't one single word for this because it's just bad writing.
In plenty of more literary stuff, you want to hear the author in every word. You don't want transparent prose that communicates story beats like downloading a movie into your brain in the way you might in a thriller. Part of the joy of more literary writing is that it does call attention to the fact that you're reading words... just... you know... in a skilled and enjoyable way.
A lot of genre fiction is written in third person limited too, so what you want to hear is the character's voice, not bland nothing. Badly-done character voice ends up sounding like the author using the character as a mouthpiece, but there isn't a specific term because it's just a failure mode of third limited.
If I'm correctly understanding the vibe you're talking about, the issue is less that I can feel the author in the text and more that the author is an annoying tryhard whose voice I don't want to spend time with.

aspd culture is : goes into the aspd tag. seems someone claiming house md, (guy whos dxd aspd in the show im pretty sure lol) is actually hyperempathic instead of lacking it and avoids patients due to too much empathy. like ok just avoid the whole boundary pushing / whatever else ok. alright thats enough of that *turns off internet* ive had enough of prosocials damn why do they think the only aspd symptom ever is lack of empathy. god
The amount of people who take *any* ASPD rep - including but not limited to House, this was also EXTREMELY common with Wednesday Addams, who is also diagnosed with ASPD in the show Wednesday - and call it "hyperempathetic autism" is... disgusting honestly. I'm autistic too and I get the desire to have representation from non-infantalized characters, I do, but the erasure of ASPD from the very few sources who intentionally make ASPD representation is not how we handle that.
And, as you mentioned, many people intentionally overlook, ignore, or try to explain away any "bad" behavior (see also: ASPD symptoms) because it pushes against their point.
People are just... so desperate to not admit that anyone they like had ASPD that they will directly ignore and speak over the media's direct acknowledgement of ASPD just so they can see us as monsters and still have permission to like that character.
PSA to prosocials, especially those with no other experience with cluster b treatment:
When the therapist/psychologist/psychiatrist says the character "has antisocial traits" or "is antisocial", that's not a descriptor, nor does it mean they don't like people/avoid interaction with people. That's a medical professional using a different model of discussing a diagnosis with the patient by rephrasing it without the disorder attached. This is super common with ASPD because many pwASPD who are forced into treatment - like House and Wednesday - are resistant to admitting something is "wrong with them", so the professional will use the inital descriptor instead of the entire disorder name. In this case it's "antisocial" with the words personality disorder removed. It's also common to see in media happening for people with BPD, with the character being referred to as "having borderline traits" or "being borderline".
If the professional was referring to them or their traits as "asocial", then it would mean what you guys think it does - they avoid interaction, have a general dislike of socializing/social situations, and generally self-isolate. Antisocial and asocial are not the same, and while you can argue that anyone else in a show calling someone antisocial won't know the difference, their mental health professionals do. Evidently, House and the rest of the cast are also very aware in-canon of mental health, going by the DID episode which was done amazingly well imo. If House knows about Dissociative Identity Disorder, I assure you ASPD is not off of his radar. ASPD is significantly more prevalent than DID, with up to 4% of the US population having ASPD compared to 1% of the population having DID. While there is issues with under-diagnosis, those issues are the case with both disorders, so it's likely that the difference made by that would at most only slightly close the gap between the two. House also researches things purely based on the existence of stigma and/or lack of public knowledge on the subject, and frequently attempts to find out why he thinks and acts the way he does behind the scenes. If you google his symptoms, ASPD would be at least one of the things that comes up. So again, he is not misusing antisocial.
In fact, no one on House, MD would say antisocial where they meant asocial, as they are versed in psychology as a part of dealing with complex cases that have failed repeatedly to be diagnosed. That is shown constantly throughout the show. If you chose 3 episodes at random, I'm willing to bet at least one would show their experience in psychology as one of the team pushes the "it's just mental illness" angle.
All of this is to say that fuck prosocials endless refusal to actually acknowledge ASPD, both in likeable and notably unlikable characters!! Many of them HATE House, yet still can't admit he has ASPD. It's giving ableist, because it is ableist.
