My two cents are Fantastic from the S2 soundtrack, but also Killing Me To Love You by Vancouver Sleep Clinic and Disease by Lady Gaga!

I have not been super involved in the OSC as of late, but I won't give up an opportunity to share art, whether new or old, of all my sillies.

I have a stockpile of aircorn art that I've been sitting on, I really need to share more of it. But here are some of the lighthearted ones. Like this skating doodle! (Popcorn try to remember Airy's face is made of glass challenge IMPOSSIBLE GONE DANEROUS GONE DEADLY????)

Some older older doodles of Popcorn's beef with Rotton Apple.

After Showvember, Popcorn and Rotten Apple dated super briefly. It was incredibly sour for the both of them. Neither of their needs were not being met, and both (but mostly Popcorn) were not pulling their weight in the relationship. When they separated, both talked very poorly about the other.

Beanie, RA's current partner, completely validates all of RA's feelings. Airy, on the other hand, is chill with Popcorn venting to him but doesn't entirely believe her side (cuz she exaggerates everything). Also, Popcorn is very flip-floppy with her views on RA, cuz on one hand he annoys the hell outta her, but she really liked his company when they were together and just kinda wants to hold onto that. She wants everything and nothing to do with him. RA just wants nothing to do with her, but she has an uncanny way or wiggling into people's lives without their knowledge.

But other than that...

AIRCORN WEDINGGGGGGG!!!!!!

Yeahhhhh in my hc they get married. Their kids are the ring bearer and the flower girl, but they're not illustrated there. And you can only imagine how fun the wedding was for the two best men (minus Clock cuz he's just happy to be there). Worst music playlist on the planet was played during it too and the food was either banging or ass lol.

I've been thinking a lot about the idea of a PaleMetal subculture and what it would be like and one thing thats common in most metal (specifically black metal) circles I've experienced has been this idea of Edgy Pissing Contests. Like, everyone trying to be more hard-core than everyone else, so that makes me think maybe the way this manifests is these groups of people that hang out too close to porch collapses for the sake of being seen as cool, and it ends up just making them fucking weird. And there's whole like little clusters of them near the pale because they go to be edgy and then fall into shit like what we saw with Tiago where it just kinda rewires their brain and they dont leave.

The music itself probably sounds something between atmospheric black metal and sludge, like distorted vocals and droney sounds recorded on the worst mic available. And of course if you tell someone you listen to palemetal but you don't actually show signs of palesickness they'll call you a poser lol

tbh i don't think you can put an end to single-use plastics without also reckoning with capitalist + imperialist worker exploitation.

#like if you want to 'return' to when 'materials had a soul' (i'm vaguing about a post that literally said this)#i do think you have to reckon with the fact that most reusable materials are produced via the extreme exploitation/enslavement of workers-#-in or from the global south #and ending single-use plastics would only further encourage that exploitation in the global south in order to keep the prices of the goods #people in the imperial core like so much affordable #and like if we got to the root of the problem (capitalism/imperialism) you would ideally be addressing single-use plastics AND slavery #idk not to say that organic materials are manufactured with more exploited labor than plastics idk that that's true it's just annoying to #see this weird valorization of things made out of 'metal glass wood and porcelain' as things that you can 'leave to your kids as tangible-#material wealth'#'shit used to have a soul' when!
