Have y'all ever thought about how Astarion's interactions with the PC are vastly different from how he interacts with everyone else? I mean come the epilogue he's a lot more comfortable and will go as far as calling everyone else his friends, but before then he is still insanely reserved and really only confides in you.

He's still kind of snarky and a bit prissy with everyone else, even up until the very end (only one he's not like that with at all is Karlach tbh; he respects her right out the gate). But with you? Completely different person.
