One other thing I can think of is the fact that, sometimes I can be talking on the dash or writing, and just not have the energy for talking much. Between school, bad brain, and bad body, sometimes I am just Exhausted, and writing or rambling about a character I like is easier, and it's a way for me to relax. I'm trying really hard to keep this blog a space I can come to in order to relax and destress, because it's a hobby I enjoy so much, but part of that means being able to just. be, even when I'm low energy.

I don't even need to log into Twitter to be notified about the newest dogshit idea the nazi billionaire who runs that website came up with. I'll just get called names by the users who escaped the containment and went to Tumblr, thinking I'm going to take them seriously because they spam my replies with synonyms for the word degenerate and call me a porn addict lololol.

“I might one of these days, it’d probably get me a lot of YouTube shorts views. Might earn them a pretty penny for more cat toys.” Ches smiles, things like that seemed to go viral at least, and it wasn’t like she didn’t already have a platform to build off of. What would be the harm in posting one video and seeing how it went? The cats liked to get into everything already, clingy little things, not that Ches had any urge to complain. The fact the three were so affectionate, rather than aloof like the cat stereotypes she’d grown up believing, was part of what made them so endearing to her despite previously not really being a cat person. “If I take a video, I can send it to you if you want?”

Ches’s face lights up when Colt says that McGraw earned a pet or two, and walks over to the dog, leaning down to pet him. “Thank you, I never pet other people’s dogs without permission. Plus, it always feels kinda violating when people pet Clover without consent. If you want to give her a couple pets though, you may.” She says as she pets McGraw, giving him a couple of pets before she moves away from him. After all, Colt said he earned a pet or two, better not push it too far. And when he confirms that they were calving in the spring, she nods. “Well, I hope that goes as smoothly as possible then. If it wouldn’t be too stressful on the cows, or inconvenience you of course, maybe Clover and I will have to drop by for a visit to the farm sometime.” She glances down at her own dog, the golden retriever still sitting calmly other than a couple of subtle tail wags upon hearing her own name. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you work, which, doesn’t quite feel fair considering the entire world watches me work most of the time.” She winks, barely holding back laughter with the words. They were nothing more than a playful tease, truly not expecting Colt to agree to letting her shadow him on the farm just because she was curious. @cheapxseats

Cats playing the piano? Colt couldn't quite tell if she was being serious or not, but you could colour him impressed. There were a few cats on his family's ranch -- barn cats, mostly feral and unlikely to ever thrive as a household companion. Colt had a soft spot for them though, and had built a warm, cozy, and safe spot in the garage and the barn for them. It seemed a fair trade: Colt provided shelter, food, and water, and they kept the mouse population on the ranch to a minimum. The cats mostly liked to be left alone, but that didn't stop Colt from attempting a pstpstpst whenever he saw one dart passed. Still, they were a far cry from playing any pianos. "Feel like you could film that, sounds cute," he said with a grin. Whether it was cats artfully playing Beethoven or randomly stomping on the keys, Colt mostly just felt like the world was a better place with more animal content pretty much anywhere.

Colt glanced down at his dog, who had now sat down and was watching his owner for his next command -- or his release word. "Think he's earned a pet or two, if you're interested." He had an idea that Ches was, though there was no pressure either way. He appreciated her respect for McGraw's boundaries. Training a smart but stubborn dog was hard enough without strangers deciding to pat McGraw when Colt was just trying to give a command. He gave the dog a pat on the head, and nodded his confirmation at Ches's next question. "Yes ma'am, spring it is."

I just had to give a HUGE shout out to the Tumblr team for helping me back into this mess. I've missed you all dearly. <3

I'm happy to report that in these last 10+ years that I have popped in and out of the rp space, I've been fine tuning my debut series. While it is not ready for publishing just yet, soon, I wanted to give a heads up to any old friends here that I will have something for you planned. This blog 100000% is the reason and inspiration for everything I have written since the last time I logged on. I always caught myself wanting to change Tate's story completely and that just wasn't right.

So. A new prodigal son, completely separated from ahs/this character, bloomed. Although, you may find yourself questioning if the Devil himself infected this story as well.

I'm so excited to introduce you to our new golden child.

if I interact with your post in any way, you don't get notified for it

if you look at the notes on posts I've interacted with, you can't see my name or how I've interacted with it, it just looks like a glitch saying there's more notes than there really are

if you send me an ask and I answer it privately, the message appears in your inbox and you do get a notification

if you send me an ask and I answer it publicly, you don't get notified, you can only see it by going directly to my blog

I can't send asks, period, though I'm honestly not sure if that was already a side blog thing before or if that is because of the shadowban

if I try to DM you over chat, I get an error message, you get nothing

I don't even have a chat box as far as anyone looking at my blog is concerned

people who follow me can see my posts on their dash like normal, but can't get any kind of notifications from me, barring private answers to asks

This Sucks

I can only suspect that the reason my blog was shadowbanned was because almost every post on it includes an external link to AO3 and/or FFN (BECAUSE IT'S A FANFICTION SIDE BLOG), so staff just thinks I'm a bot, I guess. I tried contacting support about it last night, but my Internet connection was abysmal, so I'll have to try again later.

In the meantime, have any other writers on Tumblr encountered this problem? And do you know how to avoid having this happen again when 99.9% of your posts include external links?

EDIT: No longer shadowbanned!! Yay!! But I'm leaving this post up in case anyone needs it so they can tell if they've been shadowbanned or not (and because the link to the Reddit thread that got me in touch with the staff member who fixed it is in the replies).

Also, the not being able to send asks IS a side blog thing and not a shadowban thing.

Hi! Sorry to reply to this so late. Idk if it's tumblr being tumblr or my ancient laptop not wanting to notify me about messages anymore but I didn't see that you had sent an ask until just now.

Anyways, I am unfortunately not sure when I will get to work on Pumpkin Night again. The only way for me to access the latest chapters from Japan is to wait until they get released in a volume (which there are 7 of so far and I am waiting on volume 8). I'm not sure why it has taken over a year at this point for volume 8 to come out, but I am hoping that I'll get to work on it again soon somehow.

Thank you!! 🩷 I actually don't have a tag list as I'd been relying on AO3's email notifications. But as I've observed recently, there are a lot of guest comments and kudos on my works (who don't get email notifications) and not to mention it's not easy to get an AO3 account nowadays without having an invite. So this is a good idea!

When Jason woke up all he saw was darkness and a small peek of light coming in through one of the coffin edges. He shoved the coffin open as he sat up, heaving in a breath.

"Bloody hell that thing was stuffy," He muttered. After catching his breath he looked up and was met by a giant mirror, floating coffins, and...a flying cat?

"Huh?! You're awake already?!" The cat cried, clearly not expecting Jason to already be awake. "Well no matter, just give me your uniform and I'll let you go," the cat said, their tiny arms crossed and a wide grin on its face

Jason raised a brow at the flying cat, "Uniform? What uniform?" He looked down and saw that he was indeed wearing a uniform. "Why am I wearing this thing?" Jason looked back up at the flying cat, "You. Where am I?"

The cat started laughing, "You're joking, right? You're at the magnificent Night Raven College!"

Jason looked confused, his brow still raised. "College? Fine, if you won't tell me I'll find out on my own," he replied as he got out of the coffin and left the Mirror Room. It didn't take long until he wound up in the Library. "Alright, maybe the cat wasn't lying..." he muttered

"Of course I wasn't lying!" Came a voice from behind him

Jason turned to see the cat right behind him, "Jeez! Don't sneak up on people like that! Dumb cat. Why do you keep following me?"

"I already told you, I want that uniform! And I have a name, it's Grim not 'dumb cat'!" Grim stated.

"Well well well, this is quite the problem. A student is supposed to wait with the others before emerging from their coffins," Another voice said. The voice belonged to a tall thin man with blue hair and a bird-shaped mask.

"Oh great, another weirdo..." Jason grumbled. He had just about enough of this place.. wherever he was

"That was rather rude, I assure you I am not a weirdo. I am Headmage Crowley. You and your familiar should be in the Mirror Room with the other new students." The man said, his arms crossed

"I am not his familiar!" Grim said, offended at the very notion he'd be some human's pet

"Look, I just want to know where I am and get the hell outta here," Jason stated

"Yes yes, that's what they all say. Come along now, I shall explain everything. Truly my kindness knows no bounds!" Crowley replied, ignoring Grim for the moment as he ushered them back to the Mirror Room.

As they got back to the room it was full of students but the main thing that caught everyone's eyes were the people in the front of the room and what looked to be a floating tablet.

"Those who will remain in Heartslabyul remember one thing; my word is law. Those who do not follow the law shall be beheaded," the shortest of the group spoke. He had bright red hair and a stern look on his boyish face

A man with lion ears and long brown hair yawned, "Good this thing is finally over. Those in Savanaclaw come with me, and be quick about it. I want a nap."

Another man with pale skin and pastel purple hair wearing glasses was the next to speak, "I wish to congratulate all incoming freshmen on a wonderous opening ceremony. May you all have a wonderful first year. As Octavinelle's dorm leader I look forward to seeing your progress."

There was a blonde-haired with a purple fade man also in the front. He was sight in of himself with combination of both beauty and charm. "Even if things are finished that doesn't explain where the Headmage ran off to."

"Maybe he was sick?" A short boy wearing a turban chimed in

"Or he abandoned his job again," came a lazy voice from the tablet added

"It was neither of those things! Have you no faith in your Headmage? I went to go retrieve the missing freshman," Crowley stated, his hands on his hips and an annoyed expression on his face. He then turned to look at Jason "Well then, you are the last to be sorted. State your name to the mirror and we'll get you in your dorm right away."

Jason looked less than thrilled to be participating in whatever this was but if it got him home, so be it, "Jason Todd."

A solemn face appeared in the mirror, "Jason Todd. Thy soul is...." it started before trailing off. "I cannot say."

"Pardon me?" Crowley asked

"I sense no magic in this one. I cannot tell what he is like so I do not know where to put him." The mirror stated.

Jason scoffed, rolling his eyes, "I could've told you that. I'm as magicless as they come. Unless you count getting resurrected." "Well that is...problematic. Where did you say you were from?" Crowley asked. "Gotham City." "I don't believe there is such a place in our world. If there is I've never heard of it." "Well that's just bloody brilliant," Jason stated, pinching the bridge of his nose. "When I said I wanted a vacation this is not what I meant." "Let me take his place then! I have magic to be used!" Grim interrupted with a smug smirk on his face. He then proceeded to blow blue flames into the Mirror Room as a 'show of power' "Most certainly not! Look at the mess you have caused! I cannot allow such anarchy in my school!" Crowley scolded, an irritated expression on his face and his arms crossed over his chest. The red-haired boy from earlier stepped forward with his wand pointed at Grim, "I will take care of this. Off with your head!" "Oi! What's the big deal?!" Grim stated, trying to tug off the collar that was now stuck on his neck. He tried to use his flames for a second time but to no avail "Ah, yes. Riddle's signature spell. 'Off with your head' completely blocks out the other person's magic until they leave campus. I would love to learn how it worked," The man with glasses mused. "How dare you! I am Grim, mage extraordinaire! I will not be collared like this!" Grim complained, glaring at Riddle. "It serves you right for disobeying the school's rules. He turned his attention back to Jason, "Until we find a way to send you home you are welcome to stay in our spare dorm outside of campus. Your familiar may stay with you as well." He then had a self-satisfied smile on his face, "Truly my kindness is boundless." Jason rolled his eyes, "Sure, fine. It's not like I have much of a choice." With this new decision in place Jason found himself stuck in a place that seemed stranger than his own home if that was even possible. Time will only tell where this new adventure will take him...
