chat isn't sure how ladybug will take his mild outburst but he's frustrated and doesn't care enough right then. they're both exasperated by the way the meeting went and are a bit cranky from being worn out by HM's new direct attacks on them.

ladybug: What they THINK we need to know!! I think we NEED to know wayyy more!

chat who was turned a bit away from her before is now fully facing her and face full of openness and attention and relief to ladybug

chat: yes, exactly!

ladybug turns towards chat 100% and gets all up in his grill

ladybug: Actually, with the way hawkmoth has been acting, we DESERVE to know waaay more!

ladybug has angrily grasped chats shoulders in the middle of that last sentence. chat is also warmed by lady's angered agreement with him and how passionate and hotheaded she is about this situation. he loves her angry sense of justice.

chat, nodding quickly : we DO!

ladybug shakes him and goes ARRUUGGHHGGOOUUGGH and chat giggles for a sec but then grabs her wrists? lower forearms? to steady her. while slowly pulling her hands down over his heart he says

chat: at least we have eachother, even if we're kind of stuck in the middle of all this

ladybug who was full of anger and indignance has emotional whiplash and her emotions drag on pavement noticing the intimacy of their position. she has now noticed chats heavily beating heart under her palms and the million thoughts swirling around behind his eyes. she knows now that they're not all romantic. some are of full of fear and insecurity, and a precious few are curious and practical. only a few. out of the million.

set a bit after hawkmoth shifts focus from guardians to LB and CN, and they call an emergency meeting with the guardians for guidance but are told pretty much nothing useful and everything vague. they are even mildly scolded for not making progress on the lost miraculous. brushed off too.

Got some acrylic stands to put my figures on, a little disappointed they're not quite as wide as I'd hoped BUT it's nice that I can now see everyone clearly >:3c Atm one side is all mutants but I can see myself just having to blend them because I like way more mutants than otherwise. And of course in the middle is the lego and funkos.

I might have finally found the winning combo of meds and dear god I forgot what it was like to feel like a real person.
