20 Questions for Writers
I was tagged by @lurkinglurkerwholurks
1. How many works do you have on AO3? 146! It would be a larger number if I hadn't deleted all of my Supernatural fics back in the day. There were at least 30 of those, maybe more...
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
913,163 - I'm hoping to hit a million soon!
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Batman, Superman, Justice League, Star Wars, Marvel
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos? Take Care of Business Everybody Wants You It Was Always You a sky of honey Anything Like Me
5. Do you respond to comments?
Not anymore :/ I have a really hard time keeping up with writing if I'm responding to comments. I hope my readers understand.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Hmm. Probably lonely town? Dick is getting de-fibbed in the alley by Bruce, and it's not clear if he's going to survive or not.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
here as I am is hilarious if you're into jealous!Clark. otherwise the weight (salmon ladder fic) always gets me.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Yep. Mostly on borderline, but on other fics too. I love how, as I've gotten better at writing, it's changed from "wow this sucks, your writing is awful" to "you suck because you chose to have [character] do this." Luckily I think most of the hate filters over here to Tumblr, where I can happily block and forget. These days, I mostly get people commenting about how I'm wrong about something. Wrong about something I researched and triple checked before posting...
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Yep! All of them, I think? At least, I haven't balked at much yet. I'm not really into the excrement related ones, so I think that would be one of my no-go's.
10. Do you write crossovers?
Yep! bloodletting (Mandalorian/Star Wars and DC Crossover) and a few Marvel/DC crossovers.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Yep, a few times. What I'm more pissed about is all of my textposts being monetized over on TikTok and IG. I could be making bank off of those, considering the reach. And several of them are basically mini-fics.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes! Tons. Check them out here. There's also some podfics and related works there.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Not really. I've made attempts but I'm really bad at it. I tend to write spur of the moment and follow my gut on where the conversation/action goes. Planning out a fic with a partner would do them a disservice, I think.
14. What's your all-time favorite ship?
I really love Superbat, but Codywan is right up there with it. Something about Cody being a loyal BAMF soldier and long-suffering big brother gets me.
15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will?
My vampire AU. Not because I don't want to continue but I cannot decipher my notes as to what should happen next.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I'm very quick, I can type up a full draft in a few hours. I like natural, snappy dialogue and I think I'm good at it. I don't shy away from weird or uncomfortable situations. I'm comfortable with writing a lot of sex/etc.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I write too quickly, sometimes I get ahead of my plot. My dialogue and descriptions can sometimes be a little too bare, or I overcorrect and become too flowery. My fics take on the tone of whatever I'm thinking about at that time.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
If you're confident in your language abilities, go for it. If you're just plugging it into google translate, consider why you're doing that first. Is the addition of this new language actually something someone would say in that moment? Or are we just using it to signal to the audience that they speak another language? Is there a way to show this without telling? That being said, I love using Mando'a in my Star Wars fic, and I've studied it for a while now to be able to do so.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Supernatural
20. Favourite fic you've written?
Probably borderline or a sky of honey. Both took a ton out of me and I'm proud they're whole and standing on their own right now.
---
I'll tag anyone who wants to play! Go wild.

Ayo! I haven't answered asks in FOREVER, so it's time for some spring cleaning :) Also answering other stuff, like what I've been up to.
If you sent an ask and it's not here, sorry! I may have deleted it because the prompt required too much work of me and I wasn't feeling it, or I was uncomfortable.
Let's gooooo !
Firstly - where have I been? Work REALLY picked up in a way I wasn't expecting over the last...4 months? I was working double and often triple the hours I was used to. With work, vacations, random illnesses, and many video games I got a bit too obsessed with, this blog took a backseat. Plus, sometimes I get disinterested in vore when obsessed with something else. Sometimes, that lasts months, and it did this time.
But now I can confirm that work will FINALLY chill for a long period of time. I'm free! And more motivated than ever! Wahoo! Thanks for your support ALWAYS.
Next big question - when am I going to do more of my story? The one with Asyr? AHHHHHGHHGHH this story has consumed my life. I think about it daily. I dream about it. And yet I'm not as comfortable writing as I am drawing, so writing is a slow process that my perfectionist ass struggles with. I can assure you that there is a story in the works - and I am working on it at a snail's pace.
Okay, ask time...
Tumblr media
@ponyluvesonic09 AYO maybe I'll make a full ghost pred pros/con list for you, because that sounds awesome! Kir//by is one of the silliest canon preds out there. Honestly getting eaten by him would be like getting vored by a vacuum, LOL. Galaxy tummy!! Imagine a prey floating around in one of those item bubbles all grumpy. Thank u for the ask, this is good stuff.
Tumblr media
no. ( /・・)ノ
Tumblr media
UWAGHHHHH I LIKE HER!!! Never played O/verwat/ch but what a gem!! I have a random fondness for centaur-like preds nowadays. She looks so cozy. THANK U I LOVE HER!!!
Tumblr media
@tiger9o0 I have not played r//ain w//orld or know what it's about, LOL. Looks like a platformer? Man, I'm terrrriiiiibblleee at those. But whoever this is on the cover, I LIKE EM. A+. (That might not answer ur question shdjbghkjg SORRY)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
@heimkoheimkofan LOVE THAT I GOT THE ROBOT ENJOYERS AFTER THAT ONE POST....YES yall are so right and I'm so wrong for just hard metal robot tums. I will rectify my mistake soon I PROMISE. Also oh! You were the one asking about stomachs other than elemental ones! IVE HAD THAT IN MY DRAFTS FOREVER IM SORRY AHHHH. I REALLY love your imagination with tums and you've inspired me to think of some awesome environments! THANKS
Tumblr media
@fastfur07 BWAH?? Ugh I'm all over the place when it comes to art. Some pieces take 30 min (like the zangooc I drew at the top of this post), most take 2 days. Some really hard drawings like my wolf bat creechur from a few months ago and my shrimp from last year took a month. THANK U??
Tumblr media
We're going back so far that I think this is about my naga oc (which I'm in the midst of redesigning cough cough). For him, he would never tolerate being prey, extremely unwilling bahaha. In general, I haven't thought much about naga or snake prey! I get the appeal of slurping up a noodle, but I just prefer human prey :)
Tumblr media
@fastfur07 you fiend, you always give me the best drawing ideas. UNFORTUNATELY, I didn't have time to draw something for this one. BUTTTT....
(i've had this next one in my drafts for forever)
Tumblr media
then i had a silly comic. I'll post the wip here because I won't finish it, so enjoy bahaha.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
@blizzaria123-blog THANK U im rapidly melting into a puddle from ur words
Tumblr media Tumblr media
@mrpotatomanversionsix relevant. i will continue drawing them 4 u
Tumblr media
?!??!!??!?!??!?!?!??!?!? how dare u enter my ask box with this blasphemy
Tumblr media
@sfwsillynoms WAH!!! you!!! I'm currently redesigning my naga oc but when I finish I'll tag you, if you're still around! And he can 100% be drawn with ur preysona :)
Tumblr media
@mystorl i am SO late to this, but SMART. I like it. I shall give my lil guy this friend. I just want to let u know that I see this and it's wonderful and I will do something abt it.
Tumblr media
I remember this ask made me laugh a ton when I first got it. thank u. idk why I find this so funny
Tumblr media
@sillylilprey IM CRYING RIGHT BACK AHHHH this is an ancient ask, but thank u! hope you're still enjoying!
Tumblr media
@terrytheinsane finally, the last ask in my askbox. I love it. You have been wronged with how long it took me to answer you. I have gained knowledge from your ask. THANKS
AND THAT'S IT!! Thanks guys, I hope to make you proud! Feel free to send more asks, and hopefully I will answer in a TIMELY manner.
Goodnight! And remember: Nice Vore ᕕ༼⌐■-■༽ᕗ

5) dash commentary
Tumblr media
It's great! Often a fun way for people to acknowledge their mutuals' posts, IC or OOC! It can also help to really promote the feel of this place being an rp community. No one has to put themselves out there to make friends or whatevs, but still, interacting with your writing partners outside of just threads can go for miles. I will say that dash comm can kind of be a slippery slope though.
Sometimes, open commentary on something that's more so happening in private - so no one else outside of the characters in the thread should be aware of it - can make things very awkward, but that's where communication comes in. You can ask all parties involved if it's ok to make commentary, or you can just comment on it in private to them! Can't speak for others, but I personally would love to hear how entertaining what I'm doing with someone else is.
Lastly. When it comes to dash comm posts that are tagged as crack (so they're not to be taken seriously), I've noticed that people tend to...ignore that? And treat the post as if the character is being serious. That can put the other person in a weird spot. I've gotten into some "didn't need/want this but ok" situations in the past because of it. So folks, if something is tagged as crack or a similar tag, you shouldn't make a big ol' fuss about it.
10) anons
Tumblr media
Definitely a feature that should be used, especially if you're the type that's too shy to send something with your blog's handle attached. Unfortunately, tons of losers take advantage of the anonymity to harass others / send hate. With that in mind, I feel everyone should remember that anon asks are a privilege and NOT a right. If you need to turn it off for your peace of mind, absolutely do it. The shy people will have to just step outside of their shell, send you things in IMs, or not send anything at all. They'll adapt.
I'm aware that someone who's committed can create burner accounts, but you can always block them. If they make a new one, block that too. To me, blocking burners is a small price to pay for not letting hatred flood your inbox.
Tumblr media
Speaking of anon hate, I'll take this opportunity to drop a warning: there's an infamous troll / harasser most widely known as "phoenixissims" (that's the last blog they sat on for a long period) going around the DB RPC yet again. This post here & the linked google doc in it talk about this person extensively, but in general: if you get any weird anon asks that bring up Beerus, Vegeta, or come off as salty about the interactions you've been having with others (esp blogs who rp those characters), just delete them all and don't engage.

✨The WritingPedia ✨ (Guide to Writing Fanfiction)
Chapter 1: Outlining
Tumblr media
This chapter I’ll be emphasizing the importance of outlining, which must be done before any writing happens. It’s easy to get excited and write the first few chapters— just to get a huge writer's block later down the line (trust me, I’m notorious for it).
When it comes to storyboarding, people generally start with the story climax mountain that was often used in elementary school, and it’s still useful! But down below I took it a few steps forward, and I have a basic template of the outlines I use for my stories.
Link:
Why use Google Docs?
There are many reasons as to why you should use Google Docs to write:
Wattpad is horrible when it comes to saving your stories. Long ago, there was a huge strike with Wattpad in deleting tons of stories, and if one didn’t have the story on another platform to repost, their work was lost forever.
AO3 will delete drafts after 30 days, which isn’t very helpful now is it!
Some people use word documents, but I’ve found that in collaborative works, many tend to lean more towards Google Docs. It saves to a drive and is very easy to collaborate on when it comes to allowing access for comments, suggestions, or edits to protect your work!
Google Docs will make it easy to copy and paste to post on the fic platform of your choice! The biggest pet peeve of mine is when you copy and paste, but it doesn’t accurately paste the italics, so you have to go through all of it and re-italicize each word. Google Docs will keep all of that stuff when you copy it from there and paste into Wattpad or Rich Text in AO3.
(In another chapter, I’ll explain the most efficient ways to post on AO3)
Filling out basic tags, deciding rating and warnings, and creating a summary:
First things first, I actually suggest you wait on writing a summary until after you’ve written your first chapter. In the next chapter, I’ll explain why! I’ll be giving an easy and detailed guide on how to write a good summary to accurately represent your fic and hook readers alike.
So, for now, you can skip the summary section or just put in something simple that you’ll later erase.
As for tags… that depends on where you are posting. I will just go out and say Wattpad is horrible with tags. Half of the time they don’t work, the award system is very off, and the list goes on. But, with Wattpad, simple tags like the fandom you’re in, the ship, and fluff or smut or angst will probably be all you need.
Now, AO3 tags work much better and readers will even go as far to decide if they want to click your fic by looking at them. I’d even say they’re just as important as the summary.
When I’m deciding what tags I want, I actually go under “Post New” in AO3 and just fill out the drop downs and so on with what tags I’m going to use. I have some basic ideas right here:
Tumblr media
Getting into the habit of tagging accurately ahead of time will benefit you in the long run when it comes to big bangs or other fandom related events.
Rating: this is also a platform difference. AO3 is much more detailed with rating, and here’s how I personally rate my fics!
AO3 Rating:
General Audience = PG. If there’s a kiss, it better be not deep and just a peck on the lips even. Think about cartoons for kids! There should also be minimal violence.
Teen and Up = you can think of PG-13 for this one. There can be an implied sex-scene at the most, but it must be very implied and vague to not exceed this rating. Violence should not be too descriptive, but it can occur. Cursing is okay.
Mature = this is basically rated R but NOT PORN! Violence can be descriptive, language can be crude, and sex can be technically on there but also more towards the implied sense. Remember, think of the movies! A movie will show a sex scene but it is not porn— do not mention crude words of any parts, finishing, etc! Intimate moments can definitely exist perfectly while still relying on implications!
Explicit = if you’re planning on writing full smut in any time of the fic, this is your rating. I see people rank their fic as mature and then have a full blown sex scene in it, but that’s incorrect. Even if it’s just one chapter, if there’s porn in it, the entire fic should be rated explicit.
Tumblr media
Wattpad Rating:
Wattpad ratings are much more vague when considering if it is Mature or is it not mature. However, they are VERY strict with you ranking it as mature when it needs to be. They will go as far as to delete your fic if it’s improperly rated.
They have many guidelines determining this.
Here’s the basics, it’s mature if:
Contains Sex
Contains Self-Harm or Suicide or Eating Disorders (even if implied)
Graphic Violence in any sense whether it’s physical or verbal.
It can be very picky beyond what their guidelines say, so I suggest reading @KilluGonLuciel’s Guide Book on Wattpad!
Okay, now we can get to properly outlining!
Of course the first thing you should do is have a basic idea on what the plot is. You should be able to fill this out without any struggle.
Tumblr media
Going into details is where it gets hard, especially for newer authors. These plot points should be as detailed as you can possibly make them, so when it’s time to write, the writing will actually be faster than the plotting! These plot points should have dialogue in them, where they are (somewhat descriptive idea of the setting), and exact scene/events happening. When you go back to write is where you’ll add in more descriptive details and deep internal thoughts.
Tumblr media
(Snip it for my story “In the Hands of Fate”
This may not make sense to others, but as long as you understand thoroughly, that’s what matters!
The entire chapter should be plotted before you begin to write, and when it comes to the importance of the first chapter, at least five should be plotted before you begin writing your story.
The first chapter is the most significant chapter, even more so than the last. I’ve noticed slow first chapters on my best stories will have much less audience than an entertaining first chapter with more “mid” others. Your first chapter needs to have the setting, the fixed tone of the story, and an exact idea on where you’re going with it.
Here’s what planning the story truly prevents: getting writer’s block and contradicting yourself to overcome it.
Writer's block is the true killer of stories, and in a future chapter, I will go into details on how to prevent them. They range into small blocks, like what small event or dialogue do I write? To: where the heck am I going with this story? If you’ve reached the latter, then you didn’t plan before you wrote, and could potentially be blocked long enough to drop the fic entirely.
So please please please plan! and do not post your first chapter until you have at least ⅓ of your story completely written!
Additionally, ideas can be very fleeting, and sometimes you need to write it down before it leaves your brain! That’s what this section is for.
(Insert unused quotes and ideas)
This way, that idea doesn’t go away forever and you can put it in the story where you see fit, when the time comes.
Well, I suppose that’s all for my tips on outlining! Everyone has their own method, of course, and I encourage you to do what works best for you! (This is just what works best for me lol)
If you have any questions, leave a comment below and feel free to message me on any of my socials (found on my profile).

i think maybe a 1 season tv show would be most likely to appeal to all of them in different ways. maybe action / horror / drama? it's a bit old but not super old, and recently got added to one streaming service (to little fanfare), causing a very small resurgence in popularity.
bonnie loves the exciting action and makes posts like "WHO WOULD WIN: the monster from dormont, or freddy fazbear??" in their defense, the monster is pretty awesome. they reblog a lot of memes and yell at op in the tags, and occasionally make their own but like, they're shitty on purpose, okay. they also cook meals from the show, liveblogging the process and then posting a final review and recipe!
odile had actually watched the show back when it premiered, and was happy to see it again. she thinks the mid season plot twist was really quite clever, and the horror a lot more horrifying then it seems at first, once you think about the actual long term psychological impact on the characters. she posts a lot of meta, like, "see this phone lying off of the hook in ep 4? likely a symbol for the way the protag refuses to accept other people's attempts to reach out and communicate."
siffrin is really into the character writing! they rewatch the show a ton and sometimes post quotes as they go. he feels like he's not very good at analysis but loves reblogging other people's interesting posts, and one time he did write a huge post analyzing the space imagery surrounding the mc's best friend, which still gets notes from people outside the fandom who've seen the show. and they're slowly working on making a lil carving of each named character!
mirabelle's a big shipper of course! but there's also a character who's commonly headcanoned as aroace, which is helping mira come to terms with her own identity. she draws and writes fic, much of which focuses on various ships for the monster or friendships/qprs with the aroace, but she gets self-conscious and sometimes deletes the posts later. she's more confident in her gifsets and aesthetic boards, though!
isabeau is a cosplayer! he's cosplayed the monster and a couple side characters, plus he likes posting outfits that this or that character might wear. he's also a shipper, but he's more of an otp kinda guy and won't ship the main character with anyone other than her bestie since they're like, meant to be. people often screenshot/copy his tags; he works very hard to get a good grade in reblogging!
au where dormont is a very tiny tumblr fandom

Hi, love your blog, old already in the thorki fandom, but I always have a problem with it, it's a complicated ship, a very Guilty pleasure one, the kind one you can tell anyone lol
It always made me wonder why people ship, and in conclusion i believe it is entirely Marvel's fault
The first movie: Loki literally crying cause thor is love with jane??? That deleted scene??? All those implications and tension that shouldn't exist if you're telling a story between BROTHERS????
And there is Thor & Loki Blood brothers comic motion that is just thorki basically
Wtf marvel was thinking??? And they made Sylvie and people act like it's okay, while thorki is a crime, fucking hypocrisy???
Btw Sylvie isn't a minor in the comics????
Larry show is shit, do you have any recommendations? The best thorki fics that exist out there? Thank you 😘
Heyyy! Thanks so much. Glad you're enjoying my content.
I mean, personally I don't really think anyone needs a "reason" to ship things. I mean people shipped Clint and Coulson and I don't think they ever even met on screen. Sometimes a ship is just fun. Or interesting.
Personally in the case of thorki I do actually see a canonical basis for it. I talked about why I ship it here. And here's another good answer someone else posted here. I think like any ship different people ship it for different reasons.
Ultimately for me I like to read stories that are interesting and make me think and thorki makes for an interesting and dramatic story. So I like it. There's kind of a double standard where often in fandom people get judged for their ships as though they are condoning something in real life rather than just choosing an interesting story to read. And yet this doesn't happen nearly as much with mainstream media. No one says HBO or George RR Martin are condoning incest or violence and murder and problematic relationship dynamics and torture etc. because those are big themes in Game of Thrones. It's not really any different in fandom despite what antis would have you believe.
There are a ton of really great thorki fics in my fic rec tag. You can also search my thorki tag for thorki content.
Here are a couple good thorki fics that come to mind.
Born to be Kings by Kadorienne (words: 66,618 | rating: T )
When the princes of Asgard made their ill-fated jaunt to Jotunheim, Odin arrived to fetch them before the frost giant grabbed Loki’s arm. Odin was able to carry out his plan to make Loki his puppet king of Jotunheim. But how long will Loki remain an obedient puppet?
Dead wings carried like a paper kite by illwynd (words: 48,612 | rating: M | Dark themes)
In the heat of battle, Loki kills his brother. As soon as Thor lies dead at his feet, though, he realizes this is not what he wanted. So he brings Thor back, and surely all is well again. Right?
Loyalty at Any Price by seidrade (words: 22,663 | rating: E)
“This whole time, I’ve been searching the Nine Realms— alone— for answers to questions I barely know how to ask. I thought Heimdall at his watch, our father upon the throne, and most grievously… I thought you lost to me forever.” Thor’s resurgence of anger gives way to something like despair. He can’t tell whether he wants to pummel Loki into one giant bruise, or hold him and weep like a child.
When Thor returns to Asgard and exposes Loki’s deception, his demands for answers and Loki’s reluctance to give them soon bubble over into a cathartic confrontation.
Chaos War by astolat (words: 34,203 | rating: E)
It was never easy to find Loki when he wanted to hide, but he wasn’t doing a particularly good job of it at the moment. Probably he didn’t think anyone from Asgard would be wasting their time hunting for him while the shining ones churned their way steadily through all the realm.
On the Eagle’s Wings by illwynd (words: 2,975 | rating: T )
After Loki falls from the Bifrost, Thor begins to write him letters every day.
How long we were fooled by Ark (words: 28,227 | rating: E )
Loki is not a good man, he knows; there is something rotten in the core of him; and even a much better man might let Thor kiss him, since Thor still tastes of sizzling lightning, like gathering rain, like a desire so fierce and so awful to him that when released it could bring Asgard to its knees.
sunshine by thorvaenn (words: 18,257 | rating: E )
A post Infinity War fluffy piece.
Thor and Loki are among those who are trying to pick up the pieces, but must first fix each other.

tokyo revengers idol au hcs part 3 that no one asked for AGAIN here’s part 1 and part 2 to get a better understanding.  this is what the members would be doing alongside their idol promotions+ what they would post on social media  toman tbh these guys are all just so damn funny on their own that they would constantly be invited to comedy variety shows. maybe perhaps doing something similar to seventeen or wanna one where they even have their own variety show on youtube (ie. seventeen’s-going seventeen series or wanna one’s show on mnet)  mikey-he would post basic food pics like of his parfaits or taiyaki but also it’s rare because he’d constantly forget his password. however on important days he’ll post long emotional and sentimental posts that hit you in your feels thanking his members and fans always. he also has a youtube channel posting random funny vlogs. draken- he has his own personal soundcloud to upload solo mixtapes/songs feat diff members. posts photos of his bikes and different tattoos he would be getting. responds with 1-2 words to fans during fansigns or ig comments but like mikey, once in a while, will also write heartfelt posts thanking everyone.  baji- his ig feed is filled with animals + dance practice vids. also has his own soundcloud too. trolls his members by commenting on their stuff. “delete this u ugly mf no one wants to see this”.  takemichi- very chatty, (sometimes too chatty where he’ll end up accidentally spoiling their next album info) and interactive on social media to his fans. tries his best to respond to most comments or ama ig stories questions. posts a lot of selfies and photos of his members. king of fan service.  chifuyu- beautiful photos of the sky a lot on his ig (in canon he wanted to be a pilot :,) ) along with cute soft selfies. (which baji and kazutora troll and comment being like “damn....u ugly AF!” “lmao stop pretending to act cute u loser”  kazutora- his ig is filled with pure chaos. just pics of him catching his members slipping (sleeping photos where they’re drooling or have their eyes slightly open or making ugly faces behind the scenes). also has photos of cursed memes and memes made by fans. he’s a literal enigma.  mitsuya- very wholesome ig photos- lots of photos of his family, group photos, sometimes cool artsy edited selfies. occasional photoshoot photos.  hakkai- ig is filled lots of #ootd photos and occasional photos from his modeling or acting gigs (he’s the visual, duh!) gets a lot of sponsorships from big brands.  pah-chin: has a joint youtube channel with peyan. they do silly challenges but will sometimes post dance videos (feat. baji) since they’re the main/lead dancers. fans love him because of his “matter-of-fact” responses that are funny without even trying. (example- fan comment: omg i love u guys soooo much u guys are the best in the whole world!!!<333 toman OUTSOLD!.  pah-chin: idk about best in the world but we’ll just take “the best in our neighborhood” for now i guess. thanks.”)  peyan: joint youtube channel with pah-chin. at fan signs mikey has to warn him to chill out cuz peyan will accidentally yell and scare fans without meaning to, but he’s just really excited to meet his fans is all ^_^   angry: posts a lot of wholesome photos like mitsuya (selfies with smiley) and writes a lot of motivational sweet captions cheering fans up and reminding them to always be happy :,)  smiley: joint youtube account with angry. smiley does a lot of prank videos and angrys just usually in the back like  🧍‍♂️... he also does tiktok- he would be doing all the dances, memes, and trends.  inui: ok hear me out, i mentioned before inui has similar vibes as cha eunwoo so i’d figure his ig would give the same vibe as his (iykyk). since he’s the other visual he would be getting a TON of acting and modeling gigs. idk why but i feel like inui would be a great actor (his facial expressions during tenjiku arc, the range!). actor of the year. gets a lot of skincare commercial deals too.
black dragons shinichiro- photos of bikes, cars, and photos where hes pretending to do a cool pose but his members (+mikey) would troll and comment “LAME!!!!!” “why tf do u look like that?” “hey leader, it’s not too late to delete this now bestie :)” does fun ig lives. on variety shows as a joke his members tease him there as well. really great at fan-service and pulls the whole “pretend boyfriend” scenario with fans (the delusional fans are gonna act up if he keeps this up...).  taiju- (if shinichiro did not exist in this au OR if you wanted both in the group) photos of him at the gym, photoshoot photos.  inui- similar to if he was in toman, his ig would just be a lot of cool and cute photos of him from behind the scenes of dramas or photoshoots. a soft visual king. occasional selfies with koko and bike photos.  kokonoi- has a personal youtube channel but he would be Drowning in sponsorship videos all from high-end designer brands. he’s just casually flexing that PPL in his vlogs. ig feed is a lot of #ootd photos or pics taken with inui. him and inui would be makeup brand ambassadors or faces of brands (ex: like jennie from blackpink represents chanel). in this case kokonoi would be the face of fendi (he wears fendi slides in the manga cover) and inui would be the face of jimmy choo (his heels in the manga cover looked like jimmy choo but i could be wrong.. but u know what i mean)
tenjiku  izana- pretty leader has a very artsy ig feed. extremely photogenic like inui. has photoshoot photos and candid pose photos. acts in dramas time to time (gg second male lead syndrome).  kakucho- posts gym or dance practice videos on his feed but he posts rarely because he’s just too busy or forgets he actually has an ig. loves commenting on takemichi’s posts “haha no wonder ur called baka-michi!” as a joke.  kanji- posts gym photos but it’s rare because he always forgets his password.  ran- the other visual. he would be modeling for high-fashion brands and go on runway shows. also definitely gives off actor vibes (he would be constantly casted in dark action movies hahaha). loves giving fan service.  rindou- in contrast to his brother, rindou when it comes to fan service, he loves trolling fans. also he’s really good at drawing a line between fans (y’know, keeping the delusional ones in check...which means he ‘friend-zones’ them but it’s for their own good tbh idols need to remind people their boundaries). has a youtube channel where he just posts random dance practice vids and occasional vlogs. also comments under his brothers ig posts “you look stupid af in this wtf”. on variety shows people find their brotherly banter hilarious.  mutou- posts gym photos, also really awkward selfies (he doesn’t know what his angle is lmao). another member who also reminds fans of their boundaries and keeps it real. (sanzu always likes his photos though and hypes him up in the comments).  sanzu- shy baby. constantly following mutou around. posts a lot of cute selfies and random pics of shogi stuff (he tags mutou in it of course). during fan signing/autograph sessions they love putting cute headband props on him like this or this.
bonten because this group’s concept and aesthetic is mysterious, mature, artsy, gloomy, and dark they will take this concept to the grave. (minus a few exceptions) they are invited to variety/talk-shows but never make an appearance because they want to keep the air of mystery around them. (it’s a good marketing technique).  mikey- does not have any social media. he does have a private account to lurk around but no one knows what it is.  kokonoi- has a youtube channel but it’s locked and you have to pay to get into it. posts super short vlogs and teasers. thats it. (the ultimate scam! but their fans love them too much to notice). lots of sponsored #ootd posts on ig.  kakucho- he would be modeling ONLY high fashion brands and high end editorial places. his instagram is just his exquisite and expensive modeling photos whether it be candid backstage photos from shows, candid runway walk pics/vids, pics of diff photoshoots you name it. doesn’t really comment much.  ran- visual. similar to kakucho- modeling ONLY high fashion brands and editorial places. instagram is filled with modeling photos but also some artsy scenery pics he took.  rindou- posts short artsy dancing clips (like modern dances in black&white filter) on ig.  sanzu- since he’s the other visual, he also posts a lot of his modeling/acting photos on instagram. also pretty chatty (he’s the exception) on social media and loves teasing and trolling fans. posts with a lot of random cute emojis on everything. “just ate lunch and now im off to practice hehe 🍜🍇🤟💃🤠🧚‍♂️💞🦋” no one really knows why he uses random emojis but it’s just endearing lmao.  kanji- no social media at all.  akashi- manager....or if you made him the rapper in this au then he too would also not have any social media.

hey jude! did you take any creative writing classes before you started to write RN? Do you have any recommendation of possible things you did to improve your writing enough to give you the courage to start writing the story that was in your head for 10 years?
Hey anon! I’m gonna write you a big, long thing because i fucking love talking about writing. Ready? Okay!
Without getting too specific, i do edit/write for my day job, so i’ve taken many a writing course throughout my education/life which helped me with the basics, but it’s been quite some time since ive taken any formal classes. As far as creative writing, that was always my hobby. Sitting down and writing RN after a damn decade was less about feeling like i had improved enough to get it out and more of a mental health thing. My anxiety said “god, just write it already, it’ll help” and then the pandemic said “god, just share it, not many people will read it and you’ll feel better” and here we are.
What’s helped me improve since and kept me going:
Writing more. I’m no longer holding myself back from writing down any and every idea that comes to mind, whether it be for fanfic or original writing. None of these ideas even have to go anywhere, i’ve just allowed myself to enjoy the act of writing and it’s helped me immensely. Sometimes I revisit these little pieces and read them again for fun, or add a bit more, or go incorporate them into something larger I’m working on. Not all writing has to be productive! But I firmly believe it does help you grow the more you do it.
Challenging myself. I’ll stress that when i say this, i mean i am challenging myself in a fun way, not in a “let’s make this as frustrating as possible” way. Experimenting with story length is one thing I love as a writer. Drabbles and ficlets are wonderful ways to work on specific skills, because you are so limited by the word count. This type of quick-bite writing forced me to remove dialogue tags i’d normally use, delete most adverbs, get rid of unnecessary qualifiers like “very” and “just” to save space for the actual story.
Genre experimentation. I recently wrote my first horror fic and i’m quite proud of it. It made me realize how much i enjoyed writing in that arena and might be something i look to do for original work. It forced me to take familiar characters i was so used to writing one way and draw out different facets of their personalities to make sense for a darker plot. If you are ever at all tempted to try a different story genre, just go for it. I learned a lot about my own craft while doing this.
Read more. I’m sure you’ve seen this a lot as far as writing advice goes, but i promise it’s true. To use my horror example again, I was reading a novel where wings burst out of a character’s back and it was a real mindfuck moment as a reader and then my mind just spiraled with inspiration for my own stuff from there. You might come across a phrase or a style of prose that grabs you by the throat and then holds your brain hostage. There are so many ways to tell the same story, and reading more will expose you to all these differences. It lets you find out what’s not for you (ex. writing from a ton of different povs in one story is not for me) and what you’d want to try out for yourself (ex. Im itching to eventually write a first-person pov).
Another recommendation if we’re talking about longer form stories (and i feel like i give this advice a lot): find out what kind of outliner you are. I LOVE the outline process. It’s my chance to word-vomit all over a fresh word doc any and every idea that comes to mind for the plot, the characters, scenes, dialogue snippets, etc. I love to bullet point scenes, sketch out some important character moments. None of this involves finesse, or craft, it’s all the ideas phase and it’s when I feel my most creative. Once i’ve got a story fully outlined, I go back and actually write out all these scenes (not necessarily in order, i’m not one who needs to write chronologically). Other writers I know just start from their first sentence and go from there, not allowing themselves to jump ahead. Find out which way works for you, because you’re the one who will need to read all of it over and spend so much time with it. Outlining makes me EXCITED about stories and helps pump me up to write and share them.
Talking with other writers. It was hard when I first posted RN and didnt know anyone in the community. But by putting myself out there it led to conversations and friendships with other writers. It’s a resource i’m incredibly grateful for, to have people just as nerdy as i am about writing, trading tips or asking for advice/encouragement or just to double-check im not insane and actually did use the word “belie” correctly. It can be intimidating, but if you havent already and are comfortable, check out some online writing groups/discords.
Don’t feel like you have to follow every “writing rule.” It’s so easy to get bogged down in “you’re supposed to write THIS way” and you find yourself looking at a paragraph of soulless words that while technically correct, don’t say very much at all. I personally find it intimidating to try and improve all the things at once and it makes me hate the process. I’ve found concentrating on one aspect for improvement makes me feel like im growing without overwhelming myself. For example, i made a conscious effort in a recent story to not rely on adverbs so much, and when a reader noticed this in a comment, I was fucking elated.
Okay and now to get a little pollyanna for a second. It does take courage to share your work on a public platform and open it up for public consumption/opinion. Your writing won’t be for everyone, but it is yours. You will spend the most time with it (in your head and on paper/screen) so it helps if you like it. What really matters, i promise, is that you like your own writing.
I hope you found this helpful and good luck with your writing! My ask box is always open 💕💕

so i heard you wanted more sort of gt-vore community history??? alright. (again, caveat this is MY observations and experiences)
Obvoiusly since the beginning of time the place for vore was aryon or whatever but that place is hyper sexual so big no for a lot of us.
the place to go for non-sexual vore? Deviantart Groups! dA had tons of sexual content of course but that's what CURATED GROUPS were for! People in general followed the rules and only submitted appropriet stuff, so you'd have a feed of the good shit and curated galleries that were often sorted by a theme such as gender/genre/writing/art/comics. stuff like that, so you could really only see what you wanted. there were many groups for non-sexual vore. however i know you, Phili, like non-sexual but still cruel vore which unfortunately the groups could not allow bc digestion was very fetish associated and most folks were there for safe only.
So? you want some galleries to go through for some non-sexual content? (mind dA mature content warnings, some folks used it on all vore art even if it was all non-sexual, while some only censored gore, others for some nudity. read the descriptions of the art! )
Anyways, still kinda active is MySafePlaceVore: 9this group has samesize) https://www.deviantart.com/mysafeplacevore/gallery/
(this group is the youngest that i know of and was created when a group of a similar name was... run by a j*hovas witness transphobe. not a joke. Im technically an admin but when dA changed its layout i couldnt find the feed of group submissions!)
this group didnt get much traction but its got some goodies in the gallery: https://www.deviantart.com/tastytinies
and. well i think i left the groups i was in or they were deleted i cant find them anymore :(
anyways, the Gt-vore scene on tumblr was fairly active around 2015 when i joined in the fun, and the tags "gt vore" "safe vore" "soft vore" and such were very active and while some liberal taggers put... gross stuff in them it was usually a safe bet. I havent gone into the tags recently.
sorry for this long addition. i thought there would be more groups for me to link to. i swear i was in more groups. but the orignial my-safe-place-vore group was deleted and that had a huge gallery :( tragic but also fuck the founder of that group.
Author, have you had moments when you searched the Internet for your favorite vore content with your favorite creature, but according to the law of meanness, there was nothing suitable?
Oof a lot of the time pal. Most vore art I’ve found with just random internet searches have been super sexual and uncomfortable and just not at all what I’ve been looking for

Rules, tagging system, warnings, and misc
Hello! I'm the mun of this blog, which is a side blog, and I go by it/its pronouns! I'm the artist behind @sinful-sketches! As such, my name is Sin.
Background
First of all, why I created this blog and just background on me as a person. I've been a fan of Markiplier since 2015, having been 12 at the time and discovered his Drunk Minecraft series not long before it was cancelled. I spent my teen years watching both Markiplier and Jacksepticeye. Which was fun! It gave me a passion for creating content. That being said, I created this blog in hopes to be better at writing Dark. I spent ages focusing on Anti. I'm REALLY good at writing Anti. I saw that there wasn't a ton of Darkiplier ask blogs and thought I could do it. I could practice writing without having to write actual one shots and multichapter fics.
Rules, Boundaries
Next up, my personal rules. I'm 20 years old so while I'm not against nsfw or suggestive asks, anything suggestive or nsfw about me is a BIG no-no. I'm a person. I don't want that to be forgotten. Ever.
Additionally, self ship is not canon but it is accepted!
Be aware that my iteration of Dark is a fucking dick. He's rude and mean and he mocks people. Do not get upset at ME for that. I am positively pleasant, or at least I think so.
Anon is a privilege. Don't send cruel messages thinking you're safe behind anon because I can and will take that away. I don't tolerate any version of bigotry. Homophobia, racism, transphobia. None. Of. It. Bullying is also a big no tolerance policy!
If I don't get to your ask, or ignore/delete it, and you figure that out? Don't retaliate. This is something I do in my free time. Outside of my art, outside of commissions, outside of anything really. I will not tolerate being shat on for not being
There will be more updated to this. Don't doubt it!
Tagging System
ooc txtpost - Any post where I, the mun, am talking about.. Pretty much anything. This will always be labelled as "OOC" as I'm not responding/answering/talking as Dark.
mailbox answers - Any post where I'm answering asks. When sending asks to the mun, label them as such. Really just anywhere in there where it says "mun" "Sin" or "ooc" is fine. These won't be labelled as religiously as "ooc txtpost" will be.
ask [insert ego] - Any ego post. Always given a third person perspective and written like a story of sorts.
[insert ego] answers - Any post where an ego is answering asks. Again, third person pov.
[insert ego] reblogs - Any post that is reblogged in the character. Most of these will stick to if the asker reblogs the answer with more to say.
simps - Any selfship asks.
sinful egos - Suggestive or nsfw posts of the egos. Enough said.
Potential Warnings
There will definitely be a few not-so-nice things. Such as violence, manipulation, cruelty and some egos being quite verbal with their cruelty, death, talk of afterlife, etc. Proceed with caution.

Tagged by the lovely @goatsandgangsters! I’m so sorry it’s taken me so long to respond to this.
How many works do you have on AO3?
Two. I am a fraud.
What’s your total AO3 word count?
Okay, so I’m actually really embarrassed by my word count. A measly 3319. I like to think it’s because I’m just a succinct writer, which is both a blessing (academically) and a curse (creatively).
How many fandoms have you written for and what are they?
God, over the decades it’s been many, (most of which never saw the light of day) but some are probably still floating around various Ye Olde Internet Platforms. I think the first fandom I ever wrote anything for was either LOTR or Pirates of the Caribbean, I can’t remember which. I’ve also written for Star Trek, Stranger Things, Stephen King’s It, Generation Kill, and Big Love (all admittedly short lived hyperfixations). Boardwalk Empire is the only fandom I’ve written fic for in recent years that I haven’t deleted later. It’s only taken me 15+ years to write anything I’ve deemed good enough to put out into the world, but here we are.
What are your top five fics by kudos?
Both are actually pretty evenly matched.
glass houses wins out by only one kudos at 33, which I’m pretty pleased with considering the fandom is small and fairly dead.
Do you respond to comments, why or why not?
I would say I do like, 99% of the time. If anyone takes the time to read let alone leave a comment on my fic, I will turn myself inside out to let them know just how appreciative I am.
What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
Because I have so many WIPS (specifically like, THIRTEEN FUCKING WIPS) I...don’t even know if I can narrow that down. Only because I think the overall tragedy of Charlie and Meyer’s relationship is inescapable. Sad Old Men™️ (formally titled the sky in a room) makes a lot of references to some truly tragic moments (Meyer’s wedding to Anna, The Ride, etc.) and takes place months before Charlie’s death. It’s the last time Meyer ever sees him alive, but I would say the ending is more bitter-sweet with a ton of angst thrown in.
That said, I think the fic that’s just out-and-out angst might be father and son, which deals with the dissolution of Meyer’s relationship with his middle-child, Paul. Historically speaking, because we know what the fight was about, in combination with my own headcanons, there’s no surprise that there is no reconciliation.
What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?
Most definitely Afterlife AU (for i was born to glory in your kiss) or Charlie and Meyer Make a Porno, because the only way these two are getting their happily-ever-after is through divine intervention or within a modern setting.
But if we’re talking about a literal happy ending, then it’s fuck all that cute shit, i like it when it’s messy. Because, you know. 😏
Do you write crossovers? If yes, what’s the craziest thing you’ve written?
Nah, not my bag.
Tumblr media
Have you ever received hate on a fic?
No, but I did make it onto a Bad Fic blog on Livejournal in 2003. So that definitely dissuaded me from posting anything for at least like, another seven years.
Do you write smut? If so what kind?
I do, but I suffer greatly from smut imposter syndrome. The Boardwalk fandom has so many immensely talented people writing smut. I get to the act and immediately choke because I’m so afraid that what I bring to the table won’t measure up to what’s already out there.
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
LOLOLOLOL that’s cute.
Have you ever had a fic translated?
See above.
Have you ever co-written a fic?
I will in no way take credit as co-author, but I will say that I collaborate with @portiaadams a lot on her brilliant saga Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow (mostly on the Charlie and Meyer bits in the sequel Hand in Hand to Hell).
What’s your all time favourite ship?
It’s them. Full stop.
Tumblr media
What’s a WIP you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
When it comes to my Boardwalk fic, I have very real plans to finish all of them! Every. Single. One. The one that will absolutely never get finished/published? Secrets of a Gay Marine Porn Star, my one fleshed out BradRay fic. Sorry GenKill mutuals!
What’s your writing strengths?
Dialogue has always been my strong suit, but this is especially true for writing Charlie and Meyer. I grew up with a lot of men with Charlie’s cadence and sensibilities. In a lot of ways, Charlie is very comforting and familiar.
I also have the advantage of having been raised in both cultures. My mother’s family only immigrated to New York from Italy in the late 50’s. My great grandparents escaped the pogroms in Russia. I understand both their motivations to assimilate while still being inextricably linked to their respective home lands through unimaginable pain. That may sound like a loaded statement, but I feel very connected to both their histories.
What’s your writing weaknesses?
Fucking descriptives, oh my god it’s always just like pulling teeth, I really really have to work at it. I’m much better at conveying a lot of emotion through reading between the lines.
I’m also going to second that I am slow as shit and struggle a lot with follow through because I can’t get out of my own head a majority of the time.
What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in fic?
I mean, it’s a necessity given the fandom and specifically the ship that I write for. That being said, I am by no means fluent in either, even though I came in already being able to speak a phrase or two in both Italian and Yiddish. I try not to be heavy handed with it because most translation sites are unreliable and the idea of asking my family for help is mortifying.
What was the first fandom you wrote for?
Lord of the Rings. I can’t think about the fact that the movies came out two fucking decades ago or I go into a total crisis.
What’s your favourite fic you’ve written?
Sad Old Men™️ will be my tour de force. It is far and away the best thing I have ever written and I cannot wait to share it with you guys!
Tagging: @portiaadams @fancykraken @gaytaiga @ooihcnoiwlerh @nothingbutchaff and whoever else wants to do the thing.

I was not technically tagged, but at least two people on my dash were like DO WHAT YOU WANT NO ONE IS YOUR GOD, and you know what? They’re right and valid.
1) How many works do you have on AO3?
96! And 90% of them are from just this year. Can’t wait to find out what the big 100 is gonna be. Any one of my WIPS could be Disney’s next 100th fic.
2) What’s your total AO3 word count?
455,024 (also mostly from this year...)
3) How many fandoms have you written for and what are they?
In my entire life??? Since I was twelve??? I don’t even know, man. I wrote a lot of ooc crackfic and fic for cartoons when I was on FF.net, and then I was on LJ and wrote for a TON of different fandoms, but on AO3, I have written for Critical Role (so much CR), Yashahime/Inuyasha, Guardians of the Galaxy, His Dark Materials (TV), Steven Universe, Bleach, Alias, Supernatural, Dollhouse, Pushing Daisies (the last four were all transferred here from LJ, though)
4) What are your top five fics by kudos?
- turning wine back into water (Critical Role, de-aging fic with plot, 30457 words)
I STILL CANNOT BELIEVE HOW POPULAR THIS FIC IS. It beat out two of my super popular GotG fics that have been up since 2017 BY A LOT. Apparently, there was a market for the Mighty Nein being adorable cocktail brats and saving the world. Thanks, Liam’s Quest!
It is probably one of the most wholesome fics I will ever write too. I love it.
- Sunshine Came Softly (Guardians of the Galaxy, Rocket and Mantis friendship, 3188 words)
THIS FIC STILL GETS HITS EVEN TODAY. It was written right after I saw the movie so it hit hard and fast on the hype train.
- Mine Is Just a Slower Sacrifice (Guardians of the Galaxy, Rocket-centric, 2248 words)
BOY YOU CAN TELL THESE FICS ARE ANCIENT BECAUSE I HADN’T DEVELOPED MY TITLE NICHE YET. where are the lower caps and Seanan McGuire lyrics!!
Anyway, this was written probably IMMEDIATELY after I saw the movie and had to process Rocket’s emotions during the last moments, because of who I am as a person. For what’s mostly a character study, it got some mileage on it.
- they drink dreamers up like brandy (Critical Role, 1625 words)
Back to Critical Role! I wrote this one when I was in a fucking blind post-finale haze and producing massive amounts of Kingsley content and I wanted to write a silly fic about Caleb being tiefling catnip.
- if adversity breeds character (we’ve character enough for two) (Critical Role, Beau and Molly-centric, 1824 words)
I feel like most of my most kudos-ed CR fics are Beau-related, which is funny because I never really wrote her EVER. I guess I need to write her more often. ANYWAY, this one got jossed immediately after 141, but I needed to write Beau and Molly bantering and I couldn’t get her flipping him off after revealing her card is Rumor out of my head.
(Incidentally my sixth most kudos-ed fic is my Fjorester next gen fic, WHICH I WAS NOT EXPECTING AT ALL. IT’S A FIC BASED ON MY OC FANCHILDREN!! I’M VERY EMOTIONAL ABOUT THAT!!)
5) Do you respond to comments, why or why not?
Usually!! There are times when I forget and then it’s been so long that I never go back, but I like responding to comments. They make me so happy and I want to make sure the people who take the time to comment know that I see them and appreciate them. Especially if they give me long comments. You long commenters know who you are and I value you and also flail incoherently in your direction.
6) What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
God, probably this church takes no conversions simply because, like, the whole ending scenes are MISERABLE AND FULL OF ANGST and then it has the hopeful ending that is actually a bullshit lie.
But second place probably goes to what couldn’t i offer, what couldn’t i give, which is just misery porn in disguise as a character study. Sorry, Cree.
7) Do you write crossovers? If so what is the craziest one you’ve written?
Okay, so back in the day when I was a tineh fanbrat I wrote a lot of self-indulgent crossovers featuring my friends and I in true Mary Sue format being ~saviors of the world~ alongside our favorite fictional characters and after I grew out of that, I very rarely did it again, because as someone who can only write AUs if they’re high concept and can only write crossovers if the canon welding is pristine, it’s difficult.
I have ideas for some! I just haven’t written them yet. Or they’re sitting in Google Docs partially written.
8) Have you ever received hate on a fic?
Not to my recollection, which is insane, because I’ve written some things in my youth that deserved it, but also I was a kid, so maybe I definitely did not deserve it. Don’t send hate to kids!!
9) Do you write smut? If so what kind?
The first smut I ever posted on AO3 involved some fucking American Gods flesh horror shit, so that answers your second question.
Basically, yes, but I write smut to facilitate character development in a way that regular story beats can’t, mainly with characters who are in some way deeply fucked up and have unbalanced dynamics.
So basically chances of me writing smut that isn’t Creecien or Lucigast? Very low. (I haven’t written Lucigast smut yet but I will. Inevitably.)
10) Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that anyone’s told me, but one time when I was a teenager someone ripped off an entire group messageboard RP I was in and tried to pass it off as a fic they wrote.
11) Have you ever had a fic translated?
Not that anyone’s told me!
12) Have you ever co-written a fic before?
I tried and it did not work out, because of (non-wanky) reasons, but it’s just not something I’d be very good at. I was the kid who wanted to work alone on group projects. I’m bad at group work.
13) What’s your all time favourite ship?
That I’ve WRITTEN??? Because that at least narrows it down significantly. Sesshoumaru/Rin hands down. It’s a good dynamic and they’re fun and sad at the same time.
My self-indulgent ass does also enjoy writing Creecien though. I’m putting it out there because I want it.
14) What’s a WIP you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
GOD POOR SUPERNOVAS OF ALL SOUND AND LIGHT. THAT FIC COULD’VE BEEN A CONTENDER, but I unfortunately posted it RIGHT BEFORE the White Diamond episodes aired and it became so jossed by canon so fast that I gave up on life with chapter two half finished. I need to delete it but I can’t bring myself to bury my shame.
15) What are your writing strengths?
Dialogue and meta-narrative and character-specific stuff. I go into every story with CHARACTER FIRST mentality, which is how I end up writing so many damn character studies or why my word counts explode. I’m just out here naval gazing because I love character stuff SO MUCH.
I’ve been told I’m good at fight/action scenes too, which... Shocks me, but I think watching and playing a lot of D&D stuff has really improved how I write fighting and action sequences.
16) What are your writing weaknesses?
[whispers] too much naval gaze. dial it back, bitch.
I get really caught up in character stuff and forget to do important things like ADVANCE THE SCENE OR DESCRIBE THE SCENE OR LITERALLY ANYTHING. I also don’t think my prose is all that great, but I’m pretty sure every writer feels that imposter syndrome bullshit, so /waves hands. All I’m saying is I have seen some writers on AO3 who are writing some fucking vivid imagery and stringing flawless sentences together and weaving introspection and description together like beautiful baskets and they are stronger than any US Marine and I salute them and wish to be them.
17) What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
Iiii try not to. There’s times where I want to throw in, like, a little Zemnian for Caleb flair, but I try to stick to things that are either untranslatable (like German compound words), common phrases (like please or come here), or insults/curses/ pet names. Things that I don’t think Google will fucking lie to me about.
18) What was the first fandom you wrote for?
I think it was a Sailor Moon crackfic about Haruka being forced to enter a beauty pageant which was just a blatant rip-off of Ms Congeniality and oh my god was it awful. I don’t even wanna talk about it.
19) What’s your favourite fic you’ve written?
this church takes no conversions, probably BECAUSE it’s my little red-headed stepchild of a fic involving so many things that are just never going to make it popular (backstory fic, fic that is almost 85% headcanon, doesn’t involve popular characters, etc.), but godDAMMIT I love that fic so much. It was fun and I use every bit of that headcanon in almost everything like it’s my job.
shattered stage is a close second, because it was such a crazy concept for a fic that I PULLED OFF SOMEHOW and is this wonderful mix of crazy plot and character and lore and my three favorite tieflings having to work together. And also Jayne Merriweather as the main villain.
A lot of love went into both of those fics and they are my babies. this time next year we’ll see if I add Creedemption and shoot at fate to this list- probably. All of my epic long fics resolve to be my babies because I spent so much time on them, and I have to love them and cherish them because I raised them into gigantic wordy attempts to write a doorstopper.

Wanted to say a big Thank you for all your amazing work, honestly just reading fics have made my day many many times.
Thank you so much!
N: Any fic ideas brewing that you’d care to share?
I joked that Twisting Fate was the fic that completely derailed my non-OoT writing schedule, but that honor actually goes to two fics, the other which is still a WIP and an Out of Time snippet: "Summer Solstice".
I lovingly refer to it as my "lore-dump" snippet because it focuses on Madara celebrating the titular summer solstice. More details about the Uchiha's beliefs and religious practices are brought up, what it was like before he was made into a ghost (and finally ties back into Sasuke's early line in OoT that Amaterasu 'looked away' from the Uchiha after the fact) as well as contrasting it to the Senju beliefs, of which Hashirama is not as devout as Madara is to his own, and Yamato and Sai who are both atheists. Yamato wants Madara to have his celebration because he thinks it'll be good for him but Sai is opposed, though he doesn't try to forcibly stop it, because he's worried that if Madara saw there was no Amaterasu, he'd be more crushed than if he didn't celebrate the holiday at all. There's also a scene with Neko-baa 😉. (It's 5K and nowhere near finished 😅😬)
V: Are there certain comments you’ve received on your stories that have stuck with you?
A lot of the early ones, tbh. I first started writing in BNHA (and really want to get back to that fic) and there was an awesome little group of regular commenters that really helped me feel confident about my writing (Shiryu @shiryusamarkanda, captainofmyfleet, beccaaahhhh) I find it hard to articulate how much those early comments meant to me, especially as they took an interest in the fic and engaged when I asked questions in my author's notes about what they thought. Even now those are still my favorite kinds, the comments that are basically "I love x" "I can't believe xyz happened" "is this setting up something about a?" etc. I worked through a lot of my imposter syndrome when I started posting and I know how to get myself out of it now, but those types of comments really mean the world.
A lot of time writing to me feels like I'm in a box, and I'm just typing away at my keyboard. I like being in the box, I go in there willingly but sometimes it's nice to cut open a hole and ask a question and get a response instead of constantly wondering 'I think that's a good line...it's a good line to me but I've read this 50+ times, would someone who's not me think it's a good line too?' or 'oh I love this plot point, I'm so excited to see how it fits into the whole...wait, does it fit right? does it keep up the same pace and energy or does it deviate too much?' I'm thankful for all comments, but readers who engage, ask questions, and take the time to copy and paste their favorite lines in their comments are just absolutely amazing. I've never deleted a single comment, I doubt most authors do, just mark them as read in my inbox and whenever I'm feeling down or unmotivated I go start rereading or just look at the number of total comments and tear up a little that I've come as far as I have. 💖
Y: What are your thoughts on your personal satisfaction with something you’ve written vs. the popularity of your stories?  Do you tend to be most satisfied with your most popular stories?
I do tend to be satisfied with my most popular stories! Mostly because I write when I'm engaged with an idea and that usually turns into a multi-chapter work which, statistically, is more likely to be popular just based on exposure and repeated updates. My top three popular stories all follow this outline, and I would rank them according to personal satisfaction as of now: Out of Time, The Diverging Path, and Birds of a Feather and they fall neatly into how much time/how long I've spent actively writing. For one-shots it's a bit mixed. "Fireproof" did insanely well for a fic that's just over 600 words and was tagged as a genfic. My MerMay series "Anchored" and "Oasis" kind of bombed and I was really surprised neither broke the 100 kudos mark, though I did notice a dip in activity in my feed for kudos/comments/views in general between April and May of this year so...idk what's up with that lol.
~
A. Describe your comfort zone—a typical you-fic.
Out of Time. No joke. There's a reason it turned into the monster it did and that reason is I think it literally ticks off everything I want to write about. I like fix-it fics but I realized after BNHA that I like to take apart a complete work. I have all the canon information (not counting Boruto) and I can rework it as I see fit, like it's a giant puzzle. Time travel would let me do it in a new, interesting way (esp time travel forward) and I have a secure enough grasp on characters that I can imagine all the new interactions within the familiar framework without it feeling overdone to me. Add in my love of kiddo!hashimada specifically, established relationships, found family, and a chock ton of worldbuilding and...that's OoT 😂.
AD. Do you accept prompts?
Sure! I can't promise I'll write them, especially with the mess my schedule currently is...but I plan to do more reader-submitted prompts like I did in May for my hashimada anniversary, and you're always welcome to try your luck and submit one now and see if my brain latches onto it like a feral opossum clinging to its precious bowl of catfood. (Trust me, this is the best simile for my brain. No opossums were hurt in writing this.)

Hii, so you're all up in my dash and you allways say that people should come and talk to you. I'm a bit shy when I don't know someone but I kinda need a bit of writing advice. so here I am, I hope it's ok to ask you. I feel like I have a ton of WIPs but I never ever ever manage to finish a story. and then at some point I just lose interest in the story and it just sits on my computer collecting dust. Do you by any chance have any tips for that sort of thing ? any motivation to finish something up ?
maybe I'm too ambitious wanting to write whole stories and big stories and stuff like that. but I kinda want to post something or share something and I allways feel like I only can once it's finished.
sorry that was long, just ignore it if you don't wanna answere!
Hello!  I am always saying people should come and talk to me and I totally get being shy.
First thing to know is that you are not alone in having a bunch of WIPs that are left unfinished.  Most writers, myself included are in the same boat as you.
Here are some ideas to get your stories finished:
Start posting them or post snippets. Many writers need the feedback to jumpstart the motivation.  And make sure to tag me in whatever you post if you do decide.  If you are not comfortable to share just yet, find a friend to share with privately.  A good friend who will give you positive non-criticism.  I have a friend like this, that gets all my rough drafts and read them and enjoys them ahead of me posting.
If the stories are longer, maybe post just a chapter or two, if it is a one shot, divide it up into smaller bits (250 words or what not).  Who says chapters have to be long, post what you want!
Re-read your story to get back in the mood.  I have abandoned stories in the past, only to come back later to finish.  I usually re-read everything to get myself back into that world.  It also gives it fresh eyes.  Maybe you end up deleting some of it, maybe you end up re-writing.
Create inspiration in other ways.  Writing is more than just putting the story to paper.  It is creating moodboards, doing research, outlining, consulting source material, making playlist etc.  Consider doing one of these to get you in the mood.  I used to (and sometimes still do!) listen to a very long playlist of Tom Hiddleston videos when I would write stories involving him.  Or watching Thor: The Dark World
Just sit down and write.  Sometimes you just need to force yourself to sit down and write.  Set a really doable goal for you (for me it is something like 100-250 words) and don’t let yourself stop until you reach that goal.  Usually I end up going over the goal.
Decide if you even want to finish the story.  It is okay to abandon a WIP.  People do it all the time.  I have a stack of stories I started and never finished, never to see the light of day.  I had a series that I was posting that I wrapped up with an outline for my readers.  All of that is fine!  There is nothing wrong with doing that.  They are your stories, do with them what you want.
For future works, figure out what happened.  So as a bit of a prospective thing so you don’t get into this situation again, think about what got you to this point.  Maybe it was because you made it all too big.  I think there is a temptation to write 100k epic series right off the bat because they get a lot of attention and following.  But damn if they are not hard to do!  I am personally a 7-15 chapter kind of girl and I am definitely a one shot girl all the way.   Maybe you didn’t know where to take the story halfway through.  Outlining might help.  Maybe you just didn’t like the idea that much.  That’s cool too.  Maybe you need to only write things that set you on fire (metaphorically speaking).
And just as closing thought, don’t be so hard on yourself.  Particularly at this time.  People struggle at finishing WIPs in the best of circumstances and we are not in best of circumstances.  So if the realities of the world are making it hard to focus on your craft, be kind, because it is hard enough as it is.  Don’t compare to others.  Take a deep breath and you can do this.  You got this.

tag game; the interview
Tagged by: @lucas-wongs

n. 1 | Why did you chose your URL?
I kind of combined all the NCT members who got me really involved with NCT in the first place. So namely, the person who peeked my interest in NCT was Taeyong after my friend showed me his solo stuff and black-on-black but my first ultimate bias was Mark and then my friend’s bias (who showed me Taeyong) was Lucas (and he later became one of my major biases) So it was mxr for Mark, ca for Lucas, and yong for Taeyong (so I pronounce it mark-ah-yong) And then I was debating changing it now that I’m basically biased for all 23 members (some to different extents to others but I’m always tied with like 7 people for ultimates) but then it just felt catchy and I didn’t think I could come up with a better name than that that isn’t taken already.
n. 2 | Any side blogs? If you have them, name them and why you have them?
Initially no. Technically this is my side blog. I had a private personal blog I used to treat as a journal but then after too long with my focus on NCT and way too many “I am following you, just in a personal blog”, I basically wiped it and turned it into a random blog where I repost content that excites me / stories I like to read / whatever I want thats less personal and depressing as it was before haha… It’s @mxrcayong-main. TBH the main reason was to build better relationships with my mutuals - like they never see if I read their posts or like their stuff because my personal blog was just strange and I didnt want people to really see it.
n. 3 | How long have you been on Tumblr?
Honestly…very long. This blog hasn’t been too long though. This started as an NCT blog March 2020, but my first ever post was about Sehun in February 2020 (which was supposed to be a one off post haha). I once had a 5SOS blog, and then a Tom Holland one, and then now this haha. I have deleted the 5SOS one, unable to delete the Tom Holland one bc I lost access to it, and now I am on this :) I low key wanted to regain access to my Tom Holland one because I’m simping again but I lost details to the email I signed it up to.
n. 4 | Do you have a queue tag?
I have a queue post? Does this count?
n. 5 | Why did you start your blog in the first place?
Honestly, it was the first lockdown and I was bored.
n. 6 | Why did you choose your icon / pfp?
For the Lucas one; I liked the aesthetic. My favorite kind of aesthetic is this vintage, faded, film kind of look. For me, I think one of the most profound and important things we have as humans are these vivid memories so any photo that kind of mimics this feel is super gorgeous to me. Also Lucas is stunning.
I used to have a Haechan matching aesthetic to the Lucas one, but I recently decided to turn it blue. I chose Mark because I’m the biggest simp for him (alongside with Jeno and Haechan mostly). This is purely because blue is one of my favorite colors; it always calms me down, and I just thought the aesthetic and composition of this photo really pleases me. Like, it also fits my vibe a bit more of the ‘softie’ and my friend even says I fit the ‘blue vibe’ more idk haha. I just come onto Tumblr for escapism and write for escapism, and blue helps calm me down so I wanted this escapism to be calming y’know haha
n. 7 | Why did you chose your header?
I don’t have one!
n. 8 | What’s your post with the most notes?
My post with the most notes….honestly isn’t one im the happiest with but someone requested it so I tried to do it justice but idk I dont like writing fics too far in the future yk?? but the one with the second most notes that I really love is called “Come Home To Me”
n. 9 | How many mutuals do you have?
I can probably count on one hand haha I want to get to know people, but I’m really scared to. I gotta say tho, I’m so grateful for all the mutuals I have - but especially @pastelsicheng and @kopikokun because they really stuck with me through some bad times I’ve had. also, tons of love for @sunflowersora for being my first supporter on this app and low key motivation to keep staying on the app <3
n. 10 | How many followers do you have?
Just around 200, so not too much compared to others, but I still can’t believe that there’s 200 people who like my stuff.
n. 11 | How many people do you follow?
A lot!
n. 12 | Have you ever made a shit post?
…probably?
n. 13 | How often do you use tumblr each day?
When I don’t have exams, I use it everyday. Just because I’m in a somewhat bad headspace right now, I check it maybe every second day or just have shorter use sessions. But when I have exams, maybe once a week or two weeks.
n. 14 | Did you have a fight/argument with another blog once? Who won?
Not really?
n. 15 | How do you feel about “you need to compare this” posts?
I’ve never seen these posts but the title suggests that I’d dislike them. Especially with the words “you need to”. Like, let people live how they want to; don’t compare to others.
n. 16 | Do you like tag games?
I really do! Honestly, I have to say I still don’t feel like I belong on the Tumblr community? Like I feel like I’m a newbie still finding their place. Theres a lot of times where I question that if I just leave, no one would be excited to see my posts anyway / no one will notice. So having tag games just kind of reminds me of the moots I’ve made who are a big part in making me feel like I have a place here <3
n. 17 | Do you like ask games?
I haven’t done one yet!! I want to do it but I’m just nervous I won’t get any responses?
n. 18 | Which of your mutuals do you think is tumblr famous?
…All of them lol. I think @pastelsicheng is hella known for the murder replay story she did and I was a huge fan of a lot of them before they followed me back
n. 19 | Do you have a crush on a mutual?
Not a crush-crush but a platonic crush? Idk if its a common idea but basically like “holy shit I wanna get to know them” but i have social anxiety lol
