Day 6 Moon

Please note the name of this fic is "Sailor Madara" and its creation is all @dzhfaer's fault. In Madara's opinion, he gets the shittiest mascot of all time, rip Kaguya. ~400 words.

Stepping out into the warm spring night he almost, almost feels calm. He has a plan, nothing will go wrong. 

Then there’s a flash like a sudden lightning strike. Before Madara can react, something rolls out from the alley and bumps against his dress shoes. In the glow of streetlights and shops, he can make out a freakishly white doll. 

Madara hesitates before reaching down to touch it. He has half a mind to take it into the convenience store and tell them to call the cops. Whatever this weird shit is, he doesn’t want any part of it. But as soon as his fingers touch the doll’s dress it jolts to life. Not like a toy. Whatever it is stretches in a far too human manner and floats up until it’s at eye level with him. 

The only word to describe the doll is white. Long white hair, white skin, pure pupil-less white eyes. Only on closer inspection can Madara see the accents of purple and yellow on its kimono—not a dress like he first thought—and the grayish brown hue to the weird horns rising up from its head. 

“Rejoice mortal for you have been chosen as a vessel—”

“Absolutely not.” Madara steps around the doll, or at least he tries to. The freaky thing darts in front of him, its stubby eyebrows pinched in superiority and aggravation. 

“I am Kaguya, herald of great power—”

“I don’t care.” Madara shoulders his way past it but the thing floats in front of him again. 

“I have descended to entrust you with a great quest—”

“Get lost.” Fearing this talking doll is not going to leave him alone, Madara reaches out and grabs it, tossing blindly behind him and then practically sprints down the sidewalk. These shoes were not made for running and despite the short distance, with the warm night and heavy suit jacket, Madara’s practically sweating by the time he turns a corner and his apartment comes into view. He’s not quite so out of shape, he’s panting as he reaches into his pocket and pulls out his keys, eyeing the space around him to make sure it’s free of floating albino dolls. 

The lock clicks and Madara pushes his way inside. He leans back heavily against the door and lets out a sigh of relief. It was all a weird delusion brought on by nerves. One he’ll laugh at with Hashirama tomorrow after a successful date.

Sneak Peek Day 2 Eldritch

This one is only about 200 words but it's sorta disturbing and gorey so it's going beneath a read more. Madara and Hashirama will both be the horrors here 😂

It is here, in the heart of the world, that the Spore is born. In the early years, he was only one colony shrouded in darkness with rancid water and the remains of those unlucky enough to stumble into the abyss to sustain him. Time has little meaning, there is only growth and decay, a steady droning mmmh hum that pulses inside him. It is his nature to spread, to grasp, to reach, so he does. 

He gorges on rotting flesh and bone alongside the worms and the beetles until there is nothing left but a carpet of his fungi, shining with faint light. There is no place the Spore cannot spread, stretching and growing along the jagged walls of his home as easily along the peaks and furrows of the bedrock. As he stretches further, consumes new and different creatures, his colonies change to match. Some sprout as tiny clusters with pointed hoods and spots, others’ smooth and unblemished caps stretch impossibly wide compared to their thin stalks, new ones start creeping along vertically, frilled and draping. Each is touched by a glow, a few dots here, stripes there, pearls hanging and swaying. 

Eventually, there is no corner he does not touch—mushrooms sprouting, mold and mildew slicking, countless mycelium spreading underground. He crawls his way into the small branches connecting different segments of the abyss—each and every one eventually does—and starts the process again.

What kind of work will be accepted?

Pretty much anything! Fanart, fics, edits, AMVs, headcanon/meta posts etc. As long as it follows our rules.

How literal with these prompts do I have to be?

Interpret them however you like, in whatever kind of AU/scenario, as long as it follows our rules. Make them all G-rated/E-rated, happy/tragic,  fluffy/gory, or anything in-between!

Do you allow early/late posting?

Please do not post anything early, the mod will not be checking  the tags until the start day of the event, with one exception.

On June 21st (a month before the event starts) we will have a sneak peek event. Tag any work with #hashimadaweek2024sneakpeek  on Tumblr or Twitter and we’ll reblog it! (You can also @ us too on either platform.)  Again, this is 100% optional and if you share a sneak peek, you are not obligated to finish/post the work for the event itself. This is just for fun!

Late posting will be allowed until August 21st. This will also be the last day to order anything from the shop.

Rules

- No sexism, homophobia, racism, etc. in works.

- No bashing any characters.

- NSFW allowed, but follow Tumblr guidelines on-site (tag properly, read more breaks, cropped, etc. if it applies)
