Small Update (positive / ramble)

I'm literally working on two documents for this freaking project omfg

One is called "Minecraft Diaries: D&D 5e", which was semi-shared earlier, which is to focus on the primary stuff like locations, races/species, important figures, etc.

The other is called "Minecraft Diaries: Expanded Guide", which is literally meant to be a guide on how to go about making your own region, your own important figures (like Irene and her Divine Warriors), and whatnot.

Some info might not be entirely accurate. I'm mainly depending on the wiki for knowledge, which...isn't a lot, tbh. I've already rewatched season one at least a month ago, and that took...a while. My job certainly ain't making binge watching easy lol.

Combining info from MCD and Diaries Rebirth is certainly a choice...but honestly, Diaries Rebirth is easier for me to go back to than to rewatch three whole seasons of MCD...even though I want to...

Like...why am I doing this? I'll never get to DM it lol, but you know what? Other people might. I think it'd be wonderful if other people get into it. If not, oh well!

Daggerheart is definitely helping with this process tho, and I've been taking some inspiration from AFK Journey for some things (that game has me in a chokehold).

From now on, I'll be using the tag "mcddnd" for future updates, cuz why not. It's not an actual tag, so it'd be easy to find updates I guess. (I'll still use the main tags, but I gotta use a tag so that stuff is organized somehow, ya know?)

If you got any suggestions, lmk! It'll certainly help out tbh. I don't really have anyone to bounce off of, so I'm kinda going solo on this lol.

Honestly, I might just scratch off trying to make custom NPC sheets for characters like Gene, Zane, etc... I like making character sheets, but PCs and NPCs are SO different and honestly, making NPC sheets hurts my brain lol. Which is sad, because I was hoping to add NPC sheets in the main document should anyone want to add the actual characters into the game.

Like...I was working on Gene's stuff, but I don't know how to keep things balanced, nor do I recall everything about Gene. Man, working on homebrew is hard.

It would be nice to find some more music for alterhumans/nonhumans. Maybe I should write some.

I already have 2 WIP songs that could work, one's kinda mid tho the other is about a siren which isn't actually one I relate to so much but I wrote it with my sister for fun. I feel like I should try to be more poetic and less literal with those types of lyrics otherwise it comes off kinda cheesy and out of character for my music.

Yo any alterhumans/nonhumans out there want some type specific music make some suggestions.

Well here I am (ONS chapter 128)

Ok I'm finally writing out my thoughts about ONS' 128. Idk how long it'll come out (extremely long as I'm writing it it seems...) and also as always I want to hear others' opinions on this, but as a warning it will be mostly negative. I actually did a similar post back at the start of the year with BSD, but BSD at least managed to bounce back full force and do what it needed to do while ONS shows no signs of that.

I'll break it down into the following points:

>I'm also getting tired of the flashbacks (as many already did)

>I miss the Shinoa squad (will touch upon Mitsuba specifically and y'all probably know why)

>The belief that MikaYuu fans are getting much better content and why I think that's bs (will probably mention my theorem of "Mika, along with literally all the women of the franchise, got hit with the mysoginy stick")

So let's go I guess, under the cut so I don't clutter my non-ONS followers' dash.

>The flashbacks: I... Did not mind them up unti now, if I've got to be honest. Let's be serious here everyone probably expected a batshit crazy backstory for the characters, ESPECIALLY Yuu and Mika, and that's what made me not really complain. Now it has been like? 8 chapters of ONLY flashbacks??? Only things of the past with NO break and NO POV switches to at least let us know wtf is going on in the outside world. Christ. The fact that irritates me the most is that all of this adds nothing to the plot either!!! What are the MCs supposed to do now that they've seen one of them (WHO HAS BEEN 4 DIFFERENT SPECIES TOO SINCE THE START OF THE SERIES???) sacrifice for the 3rd time!!!! AND IN THE PAST AT THAT!!!! HOW IS THIS USEFUL FOR THEM OR ANY OF US AGHHFHGHHG. We got other gays going at it tho and that's just funny to me. This is just a BL masked as a battle shonen lmaoooo.

>The Shinoa squad: I feel like this is obvious. Where tf are they? They obviously are looking out for where Mika and Yuu are, how did we not see them again yet??? Some progress in their hunt (let's call it that) for those two??? Shinoa literally threatened to kill Mika (and, for a number of reasons, let me say this: ew.) I'd at least like to see her and how she's doing. And didn't Kagami promise us Mitsuba would get more screentime soon? THIS IS LITERALLY A PERFECT SETTING. SHOW ME HER AND SHINOA BEING IN CONFLICT CUS SHE WORRIES ABOUT HER FRIEND AND WANTS HER TO COME TO HER SENSES!!! SHOW ME HOW THEE LITERAL KIDS ARE DOING AFTER BEING ASKED BY A FULL ON 24 Y.O TO CHOOSE THEIR FAMILIES OR THE WORLD LIKE BE SO SERIOUS THE SETTING WAS *DECENT* (wouldn't say perfect cus I'm not the biggest fan of the "bring everyone back" plot but ok) FOR IT ALL I'M *explodes*

So since I came back after my rewatch and catch up to this manga which resulted in hyperfixation again I noticed that the narrative of MikaYuu shippers getting better content cus a lot of the chapters now focus on them is... common. And for a while I just thought "ok" and moved on but now I'm fully on convinced it's just. Not true. Not because the content isn't there, I would be lying if I said that, but because it's... Not good. Good content, for me (as someone who clearly loves these two if you scroll for even 2 minutes down my fucking tag), would be seeing actual growth between them, some actual substance in what they are doing as of rn, and we are not getting any of that. Since when did we see them actually DO something? Last time we saw Yuu in his actual body and actually saying something was last chapter and he was EATING. Then we went back to them just passively staring at everything that went on. And to add onto this, I dislike demon Mika as a plot IN GENERAL because it recessed any development both for HIM and for Yuu himself. Yuu acts stupid (wtf happened to him after Nagoya I'm being so serious Nagoya Yuu I miss you so much) as shit cus anyway Mika IS strong enough to let him get away with it but not enough to oppose Yuu at some point and this was addressed as a problem for like 2 seconds and then nothing. Oh my God. And not only that but this fucking thing also shows that Mika did, indeed, also get hit with a mysoginy beam, but that's another topic I want to talk about in another post if anyone even really cares about it.

So... Yeah. I'm not tired (I only started catching up in March after my rewatch, so I'm still curios about how this will go), but I AM sad. I really miss the earlier arcs and the potential they all had that now seems like a long lost memory. Can we all collectevely just go back to the Nagoya one like if the series stuck to that path I would be able to excuse its flaws up until a point because GOD. The eyeball with its Seraph shit or whatever the hell it was doing was cool tho.

As always y'all can tell me what y'all think, but I'm mostly expecting this to get lost in the void given how dead the fandom is. So yeah, see ya.

Hello everyone! How are you? I'm Arabella, and I love to worldbuild, learn about nature, draw, and a bunch of other stuff. If you have any questions about my worlduilding, let me know! Oh my gosh yes!!!

You would think after all these years I would have a legit looking ref sheet for him but I have yet to sit myself down to do this (tho now I'm thinking of giving it a try after July). But I do have what I send to people when I get Stan commissions. A combination of what I've drawn and what other artists have done that really capture him.

Stan in Creatura form is 6'7 and has two primary tendrils (though he can get little wisps of shadows from his form/shadows around him as well (if you're curious more about the anatomy of his species, I've got it here )

1. I'm honestly not sure, i relate to both.

2. i dabbled in the Therian community several years ago, but i quickly lost interest. i didn't relate to anyone and it felt like they were just playing at it. I've somewhat recently learned the term "kin for fun" and i suspect i stumbled into 1 of those areas of the internet by accident.

I've just been doing my own thing with it in the meantime. i was brought back to the general community by Tumblr, actually. i follow a blog that's unrelated to this and they reblogged the comic that's floating around about species dysphoria. it really struck something in me and i fell down a rabbit hole of nonhuman/alterhuman blogs. made me want to give it a try again.

3. uuuuuhhhhh... gear... i have a tail that a friend bought me. real fur fox tail. i probably should throw it out, tho. it's been in a mold-infested area for years now.

I'd honestly prefer to just make a yarn tail as close to my colors as possible. i found some yarn that's similar, but I'm chronically broke af and can't afford it. I'm not sure if it would even look how i want it to.

i did have a collar in highschool, but it was for cats, lol. it was pink with a little pink bell i took off. it looked horrendous because i attacked it with a sharpie, so it was all splotchy and bleh. I'm not a fan of pink or how narrow it was, but it's what i had. that was actually before i heard about Therians, much less alterhumans.

i have my eyes set on this suuuuuuper cheap black collar (like... $2) that I'll probably get at some point. add a dog tag to it that i can unclip and wear subtly when I'm out and about.

4. I've been like this for as long as i can remember. as far as the term, I've known about it for like... 2 months or so at this point? i identify more closely with nonhuman, tho. it just clicked with me when i first heard it. i consider "alterhuman" a more secondary term for myself.

5. i like watching and reading things with werewolves. the easiest way to get me to try something is to tell me there's werewolves, lmao. i really like jerky and things i can tear apart with my teeth.

I'm a quadrupedal werewolf, so i started doing quads when i was fairly young. i had no idea it was something already around, i just mimicked wolves. i had to stop for a while, tho, it was too stressful on my wrists. i picked it up again recently, just doing walks when i go to get something and such.

i tend to be fairly subtle with what i show to others, but i am absolutely living for some of the suggestions I've seen recently. I'd love to try some sometime

6. yes, holy shit. my teeth are such an important aspect to me and i had so many issues with brushing my teeth growing up (I've since figured out a work-around!) so i just... all the cavities. which means that every time they fix a tooth i have an entirely new distaste for how my mouth feels T^T they don't seem to care how it's shaped, just that there isn't a cavity anymore. my teeth are probably my largest source of (nonhuman) dysphoria.

lately, tho, I've been having some with my legs. they're far too long. I'm a quadruped, dag nabbit! how am i supposed to walk like this??? but it's not so bad unless I'm in a shift-y mood, since I'm also "human" shaped at times.

teeth are always, tho... always. it's so frustrating. those are my main 2, sometimes other things pop up and i view my trans-ness and alterhumanity as being fairly close/similar/linked, so they tend to blend together.

7. nah. closest i can think of is like... i can feel very puppy-like. but name and gender and all that... it's the same afaik

10. yes. I'm still learning about what all the different types of shifting are and all that, but at the very least, i feel my ("wolf") body aspects at times and i can sink really into the instinctual mindset or moods. sometimes i don't want to talk, just ~express~ things like it feels natural

I'm honestly not sure how the collar fits into things, but I'm surprised that I've never seen werewolves with dog collars in anything I've seen or read. seems like an excellent way of keeping track of packmates that get nabbed by Animal Control. even something as simple as military style dog tags on a chain could get you out of the pound and back with your pack, so I'm not sure why nobody's thought of it. just wear it under your shirt so that if you have a spontaneous transformation, it's ready to go

I'm glad you enjoy it! I'll add a cut because this is quite a long post with all the photo examples lol. I'd love to know more about your blog if you're making something that works on a similar basis to mine! I love blogs like these so much hehe

To begin with, I keep all of my character info in a google doc. Here's some examples of how that looks:

I have a contents table so I can easily access everything:

I keep a page for my tags/taglists: It saves me from having to type them all out so I can just copy-and-paste. Beneath the taglist (you can't see in the screenshot tho) I keep a list of triggers of people so I can remember what to not tag them in.

When it comes to aesthetics, I keep it pretty but simple: I chose a dark fairy core aesthetic and a green theme for this blog and I don't plan on ever changing it. I like to use the two different-sized green dividers (made with photopea) and I use a little bit of HTML colour coding in my pinned post and for the headers of characters' names in my posts.

Character profiles: you're going to get a sneak peek on a character I'm currently constructing for this one hehe. The name would typically go where the little stars are at the top. I'll talk about character visuals in a moment but in terms of info like age, MBTI, birthday, etc. I tend to use generators to pick height, birthdays, etc. after I give the generator a certain boundary to work within. MBTI (personality type) can vary: sometimes I pick it myself if I already know what sort of personality I want the character to have but other times I let a generator choose and I have fun learning how to write that personality!

This profile doesn't have to be completed right away. Things such as skills/ likes/ dislikes/ friends/ family/ nsfw tends to be added to the profile as I write for them. I recommend having species/ sex/ hair, eye colour/ mbti (if you understand mbti)/ birthday/ about/ personality/ strengths/ weaknesses as a starting point. The info section is just where I dump little random info about them that I make up in my writing lol

Character visuals: Pinterest is your best friend, honestly.

When it comes to making characters, I like to talk to my friends too! itseivwhore and edenspetals have been big contributors in helping me to make OCs!

Like for example, Rex the Angel Cat. Or Skeeter the Feldron. So if you're ever unsure about the name and species of a character of mine, check the tags, and if they're not there you can always ask! :"D I don't do it for Astoroth and Belle tho. IDK why.

Yep. Blotch is a wolf. She's a she wolf, and her pronouns are she/her and they/them. She's basically me as a wolf. And thanks for loving their design! (God that sounded so weird. What has school done to me??? XD) I'm planning on making a fursuit of her one day. Should I? Anywho, there's not really much to read about them except that. I haven't thought of a story for them. So it's ok.
