The details as to how exactly I die are a mystery to me, but I do know that it will happen, for the urges of my nightkin curse grow stronger and stronger and soon enough Mephiston will be gone, for my power to resist it has been dwindling as of recently. Though you certainly make no efforts to prove the opposite, somewhere deep within your bastard heart you're not as miserable and bad as you act. Marloix folded the letter down and turned his eyes up to where he knew the glorious city of Ishgard to be, albeit obscured through the fog and the light snowfall right now.

"Well well well," he clicked his tongue.

"I didn't think you'd actually have the guts to do it. I know I certainly don't. Bravo you old coot."

The scrawny elezen man reached under the knitted woolly hat covering his short, prickly hair and itched at his dry scalp while he cast his eyes over the freshly upturned soil at his feet, glittering with shards of red and blue and gold amongst the flakes of frosty white falling down. It was about time he took a break from this task anyroad, the snowfall marks a sure end to any progress towards making the forsaken soil of Coerthas more fertile for today. Oh, and the letter too of course, it was far more exciting than digging through the dirt any day. The gardener set the shovel against the wall so he wouldn't lose it under the oncoming fresh blanket of snow that was about cover all his hard work today, and stalked back inside.

"Archibald," he barked, kicking off his boots as he closed the door behind himself and shook his hands about in a fruitless attempt to bring back some warmth to his bony fingers.

"Seems I've a grand show to catch. Hold on to any more mail that arrives while I'm out, won't you. I doubt this is the only letter we'll- Ah, it's already arrived. Tch. Of course. Sneaky little shits."

A silent servant stood at the back of the store, waiting, while Marloix helped himself to plucking the neatly folded envelope from their hands and wasted no time opening it up, recognising right away the similar penmanship to his own letter.

"I doubt the old boy will mind if I take a peek, hmm? Not if he doesn't find out about it, so you'd best keep your mouth shut. Hmhmh."

here it is! the rough idea doodles for other kings! It's just started with giramie (you can find them here ), but i think it will be fun if i added the others too

+ some more trivia below

(warning: big spoiler for soul eater manga, and me nerding over soul eater)

for those who aren't familiar with soul eater, the series revolve around the story of meister and demon weapon (human who can transform into weapons). The students of of Shibusen, school build by 'shinigami' take on missions to collect souls and protect the city from the world's threats.

The school parted into 2 types of class, N.O.T (Normally Overcome Target, class for those who just want to control their powers, pretty much just like a normal class) and E.A.T (Especially Advantaged Talent, consist of the 10% students in shibusen, class for students/agents who use their powers to battle evil)

-this au sets years after soul eater manga ending, where human and witch can already living side by side

-Morfonia used to be in NOT class, but then she moved to EAT class after reunited in shibusen and being partners with rita (they're childhood friends)

-Suzume supposed to be gira's weapon partner, since the Hastie and Dybowski family been on some kind of..bound? relationship? for a long time. But racles don't want gira to be a meister, so he took both of the dybowski siblings as his weapon (welp, gira still finds jera anyway)

-Top 3 EAT class academical rank: Rita, Himeno, Yanma (it's quite a tie with jeramie sometimes), gira is somewhere in the middle, or below-

-Top 3 EAT class physical rank (as in like, PE class): Gira, Rita, Jeramie, (you know where yanma at right)

-yeah i use racs and himeno's p1 hair bcs i love them

-Rita can see someone's soul, while Gira can 'sense' someone's soul perfectly (like, what kind of people they are) and know kishin's soul before they turned into kishin egg (kishin egg: evil souls)

-Sebastian is not a student but he still go to shibusen to accompany himeno as her butler and demon weapon

-before met yanma, shiokara used to be Mayuta's demon weapon partners along with usuba (sniper rifle) and akka (brass knuckle ring)

-Jeramie is a child of demon weapon and witch, his mom run away from the witch realm because she possesses healing magic, which is unforgivable and hated by the witches

-and jera got his black blood from his mother, who didn't know that she was used to be medusa's (antagonist witch in SE) experiment object. Medusa thought she's a failed object, so she throw nephila out of her object list.

-before Jeramie met Gira, he wonder all over death city to find who killed and ate his parents' soul

-Gira don't really like to live in the Hastie's main mansion , so he rented apartments near shibusen together with Jera after decided to be his Meister. As a condition to allow gira living out of the Hastie household, Racles ask Duuga, the Hastie's butler, to visit gira's place from time to time

-Jeramie had this 'madness of hope' that triggered his black blood

-i'm thinking about 'madness of justice' for gira but 'justice' will suit rita more...

i don't think i'll elaborate more about this au, but who knows

Slugcat age headcanon:

Slugkits: Youngest offspring (newborn-3 years)

Slugpups: Usually found abandoned, in shelters due to parent slugcats not knowing how hard it is to raise them (4-7 years)

Slugchildren: Slightly older slugpups, usually found a forever family by this age (8-11 years)

Slugcats: Leave the nest/colony/family they found once adult, naturally nomadic (12+ years)

Posting in this blog after an eternity because I feel like I'm going insane here and my friends are asleep so I need to dump my brainstorm SOMEWHERE (SPOILERS FOR ARLECCHINO'S BACKSTORY/SHORT ANIMATION!!)

The TLDR is basically I think that the whole story with Arlecchino and Clervie is foreshadowing for Lyney and Lynette's future

I think the parallels between Lyney and Arle don't need to be too explained for the most part. Pyro Visions, Arle wants him to be the next "king" while he doesn't seem to be too into that idea just like her younger self didn't want it, both are associated with Rainbow Roses (they both use them as ascension materials)

Plus, I'd argue they look kinda similar here. I'm not sure exactly what is that makes the resemblance, maybe a bit of the hair, bowtie and shorts and you could say it's something she has with the others too (her kid design resembles Freminet, current one Lynette) but I thought it was good to mention anyways

Meanwhile, Lynette and Clervie are the two closest companions to their respective pair

Lynette's has Lumidouce Bells as an ascension material. Clervie is very clearly represented with the same flower (if her necklace wasn't enough, there's this)

Plus, a bit of a smaller connection, but they both have clear sweet tooths

(Lyney saying "we talked about this" implies this is a frequent event. The animation showing Clervie with cake twice while it only had 7 minutes to tell the whole story has a similar effect)

So, if Lyney is a parallel to Arle while Lynette is a parallel to Clervie, where does this leave us?

Well... Not exactly in a good spot-

To be fair, I don't think Genshin would actually kill a playable character (or at least, so I hope), but it's very possible Lynette gets really hurt, either directly by Lyney or by being close to him

Arlecchino swore to be nothing like her mother, but in the end, the way she's acting towards Lyney by wanting to make him the next king may be very similar to it

Once upon a story quest, Lyney said similar words to a woman who claimed he'd end up all alone. I can only pray that the writers will have mercy at my soul and that they wouldn't go that low with a playable character

If I were to make a mildly self indulgent guess, as the Freminet main I am, I'd say that he may be the key that's going to make things turn out different for the twins. His presence is the biggest difference between the twins vs Arle and Clervie, who seemed to have no one else that was even mildly close to them. From the 4.6 trailer we know that he's the one that has been hiding stuff and we do see him blocking out Arle's attack, so I don't think it's a stretch to say he'll have a really important role in this whole thing

So yeah! If you read all my rambling, thanks I guess, hope you enjoyed it. In the end, all I can hope is that the Fontaine siblings all turn out fine for the sake of my own mental wellness because God knows these 3 stay all day spinning in my head as if it was a microwave

Also, for the record: No, I don't have a clue about what the hell is going on with Freminet apparently finding "Clervie" (ghost?? Illusion??) and hiding her from Arle. Until this short my best shot was that she was some sort of mermaid creature, but that idea is out the window so it could be anything really

“Why don’t you just tell them?” Jazz asks Danny once she sits down on his bed, pushing aside his blankets and patting beside her.

“Mom and Dad love you, metagene or not.” She continues.

“Seriously, Jazz, we’ve been over this.” Danny sighs, sitting next to his sister as she turns to face him better, “They hate ghosts, and have threatened to rip phantom apart molecule by molecule. If they’re willing to do that, then what makes you think they’ll stop once they find out their son is a ghost?”

Jazz frowns, “Danny, I know the accident was terrible and horrifying for you, but you’re not a ghost. You need to accept the fact that it simply activated your dormant metagene and gave you ghost adjacent powers.”

“How can I have a metagene when both mom and dad don’t have one! Jazz, I know you don’t want to believe it but-“

“No Danny,” Jazz exclaims as she cuts him off, “ You’re alive. You can’t be a ghost, because ghosts are unfeeling and-“

“Jazz, just stop!” Danny yells, slightly teary. He stands up off the bed, putting some place between him and Jazz as she also stands up with a deepening frown.

“I know you don’t want to believe it but I am a ghost, I died in that accident. I know you don’t want to believe it, but if I can somehow come to terms with it then why can’t you?”

Jazz just stares him down with her disappointed stare. After a few quiet seconds she then sighs, looking exasperated and somehow even more disappointed as she levels him with a harsh glare.

“Even Sam and Tuck agree, Danny. You’re going to far with this ghost thing! I don’t care what that yeti says, or any of those other creatures! You’re not dead. You have a heartbeat and most importantly, you care. You’re not evil, and all this death talk is beginning to freak Tucker out!  And you especially need to stop around Sam. They’ve begun talking to me about it, and about how you’re scaring them. And, well, we’ve all agree that you need to stop fighting those ghosts. Mom and Dad are perfectly capable of getting them, so from now on you’re benched. Those horrible things have been filling your head with lies, and it’s becoming a problem.”

Jazz declares before she walks out, keeping that awful disappointed glare on him.

Danny slams the door behind her, silently seething and holding back tears. They talk about his death so easily! Yet they don’t care to acknowledge it. Danny died, whether they want to accept it or not, and there was nothing they could do about it.

(Sibling Rivalry AU) Yandere!Leshy Headcanons

Some short headcanons based on, and inspired by, my first savefile/playthrough's worm boi. So yes, these are actual events that happened.

- shortly after having been indoctrinated into your cult, you decided to marry him

- he was actually rather happy despite the first few insults from his first day

- at least that was until he realized he was actually your fourth husband

- of course, he could never be mad at you for having gotten married to three others!

- he knew it was solely their fault...

- it could only possibly be their fault!

- spends most of his day writing poetry for you

- which would be sweet if he didn't insist on dissing his siblings, especially Narinder and Kallamar, in most of his poems

- tends to work on his poetry in front of your tent or hidden behind bushes

- both are quite unsettling to be fair

- you can't even get him to work as he deems it as "too low" for someone like him, who claims to be your one true love

- because according to him, the lover of the lamb (you're the lamb) should not be put to work for as long as the lover shows their love

- definitely flawed logic since he wasn't your only lover, technically

- he tries to perfect his poetry for you and won't give up until he feels like he's perfected it

- which may be never as he keeps saying he can create something better, no matter how many times you tell him that it's already great enough

- he wants to be better than your other husbands... he has to be!

- speaking of which, he has killed Narinder one day after you married Leshy, since Narinder was already one of your husbands

- you thought he killed him over their past and Leshy may still despise his older brother so much that he wanted him dead

- has nearly killed Kallamar as well while they were drunk

- can you tell why i named my AU based on my savefile the Sibling Rivalry AU?

- Leshy has also killed Webber in his sleep in the middle of the day, choking him to death

- he also keeps getting into many fights with especially Narinder and Webber in general

- he's overall got horrible relationships because of his anger and deadliness

- but he did have a lover behind your back

- the moment you married his lover out of spite, you knew he would instantly grow possessive of you- he ended up hating his now ex-lover

- because apparently cheating on you is fine, but you adding the one he cheated on you with to your harem isn't
