Just got the craziest idea:

Ok, so we all love the din fics when he falls for the new member of his crew as she takes care of lil green bean baby... but what if she has a secret?

Not just that she's kinky crazy in love with our tin can man, but that she's a part of a rare alien species: they're born in 2 parts.

No, she's not a twin. Her people are born into two bodies, that share a consciousness (to a degree) & they feel everything that happens to the other... though they have different kinks & preferences (one is sweet & soft, & the other is similar, but craves ownership & corruption), they are ONE.

Due to the fact that they're so vulnerable (if one dies, they both die), & the fact that their people are nearly extinct, they keep their alien biology a secret... their whole life...until they meet din.

Maybe it's the baby who outs them? Force sensitive toddler can't keep a secret 😆 or, they're both on the crest (one stowed away), & din comes back early from a hunt, to find the mirror image of his crush cooing over his son. Idk....

I have many ideas I'm too afraid to write down (yet), but i loved this one so much, I had to post this lil thot before I forgot it! 😬

I blame the glorious monsterfucker writers i follow for this tangent... & I'm thrilled 😆

as a Hashira, Muichiro’s mind is often far too preoccupied to think too hard about self care, when he’s not spaced out of course.

however, no one grows their hair out that long without learning to take care of it at some point! Giyuu and Mitsuru have given him the hair care shakedown in the past and as a result his hair is for the post part fine — clean, but not particularly shiny or silky.

I think he has pretty thick hair too, so oftentimes washing it can feel like a bit of a chore…

is he going to cut it though? no, he actually quite likes his hair. it helps to have something to fiddle with when he’s looking in the mirror to remind him that the boy looking back at him is himself.

so when you, a fellow Hashira he’s found himself in a strange familial situation with, offer to wash his hair? he stares for a second in shock, then quite readily agrees.

(he gets excited to spend time together like he does with Tanjiro 🥺)

since joining the corps, he’s been the only one washing his hair — his mother always seemed to know what to do and she enjoyed doing it, so he would always just sit back and relax while she washed his hair… and he can’t help but think back to that time when the memories come back to him in a wave.

he sits in the bath almost limp as you gently rub his scalp and run the shampoo through his long hair, sat on a stool behind him with everything you need on the floor by your feet. it feels more like you’re talking at him than to him, but that’s only because he’s just so relaxed that he can’t think of much in the way of a response other than an occasional “mm…”

if his skull wasn’t in the way, he’d think you and your magic hands had turned his brain to mush.

once he’s out of the bath, you help him dry his hair and joke that you could use him as a mop with how long it was. he doesn’t say anything, but you do see a tiny smile in the mirror.

then, just before bed, you braid his hair to keep it safe while he sleeps and give him a cuddle before you leave to get ready for bed yourself. he hasn’t said much all evening, but you have a feeling he wouldn’t complain about doing this again.

Muichiro basically passes out as soon as his head hits the pillow. the second you’re out the door, bang.

the next day, he notices just how many people compliment his hair and how nice it looks, how shiny it is. when he sees you again, he doesn’t mention it, but he does go to you for hair care advice from then on out — if you offer to wash his hair for him again when he does, he counts that as an absolute win!

Ah, yeah... Unfortunately a non-insignificant number of antishippers seem to genuinely believe they own the concept of trauma, so any story they read that they believe to be portrayed in a romanticized or sexualized light therefore must be romanticizing/sexualizing their trauma specifically.

I couldn't tell you the amount of times I've gotten the "stop sexualizing my trauma!!!!!!" or adjacent comments from antishippers that universally garner a response that basically boils down to

it's awfully refreshing to see a rise in malevolent galas again, and i'm preeet-ty sure your popularity's playing into it. grrrrrrr yes! let that boy kill! let him scheme and conspire! let him wreak havoc like the true planet-destroying fiend he is!

waaahaaa i'm so delighted to hear it! i will be completely honest, i was extremely nervous to post that very first comic with him in (where he was undeniably malicious) because almost every other headcanon i'd seen of him at that point is that he is Just Misunderstood and Actually A Good Guy or, at the very least, perhaps currently acting out but still Redeemable With A Heart Of Gold

and those are amazing too! not a single piece of shade on those characterisations; they are genuinely cathartic tropes and i love to see them- for him or anyone else. but it made me quite scared to have to just be like... 'anyway he is extraordinarily and wilfully cruel in my headcanons and stories!!'

so it really means a lot to me that you enjoy this characterisation!! and that you think possibly it's having an impact on other folks' characterisations in a positive or refreshing way! that's such an honour! i was scared people would loathe my storytelling or characterisation of their favourite blorbo (i still fear it, ngl) or even think that i like... don't like him. but the thing is that i love him. i love him to bits and pieces and because of how much i love him i've done him the ultimate honour of assigning him Irredeemable All-powerful Villain and allowed him free reign to bite and kill

ohoho, what an interesting question!!! as a Brit myself, i can weigh in a little on his English-specific delicacies, although i imagine they're all some form of curdled, rotten, or detrimental to the senses 💀 up here in the North we love our pies and pasties, and in spite of Salad Fingers' skinny frame, i reckon he's partial to a good pastry or two!! with miscellaneous meat replacing your classic beef, chicken or sausage, of course, including with a Sunday dinner, when the whole thing is drenched in oil-black 'gravy'. i can imagine him quoting the importance of eating your greens: a mildewed mess of off-broccoli, poisonous peas and crusty cauliflower!! 🤢 desserts come in the form of 'scrumptious' (in his opinion) crumbles and tarts: fruity concoctions which leave your mouth puckering, and sticky toffee pudding (though don't ask Salad what the 'sticky' is) to finish as well. i think Salad Fingers has quite the affinity for hard-candied fruits, and makes the most fascinating (if visually nauseating) sweets from his scavenging. have you ever seen Atomic Shrimp, that lovely British guy who does challenges where he forages for his food and lives off £1 a day? i'm thinking something like that, but 50x more horrifying 😂
