The next time I post a multichapter, odds are I won't have the penultimate draft of the entire thing on the ready. We'll be way closer to working chapter by chapter*, baby!

#teruyo talk #sorry in advance to everyone who prefers fast-paced updates #but i actually quite like slower update schedules as a reader #and crucially i feel like i've driven myself into a corner by obsessing over being able to rush through posting if necessary #i had a way better time editing white lotus and the immortals for a reason #and i assume why it took me FOREVER to finish tenshi disappears which is really a simple fic #is that i felt i HAD to have it all done even though in retrospect the rough draft would've been sufficient as a starting point #i mean it's also pretty short so this approach was still fine but going forward i need to change things around #SO a relaxed schedule for the next multichapter(s) it is #this isn't even relevant right now since i have a couple of things to wrap up before i get to those broken multichapters #and you'll never believe this #I'M ILL AGAIN #my fever's gone now so maybe i can edit today but my throat is so goddamn congested ARGH #literally began the day after i wrapped up posting LMAO and out of nowhere too #BUT LET'S KEEP FIGHTING #all of us. hang in there

“Therapy is for broken people, and our Adrien is PERFECT!” Aside from the inherent nastiness and problems of BOTH of the independent clauses in that sentence, considering how much Emilie is concerned with her public image as well as her image among the people in her Inner Circle, I wonder how it’ll affect her as she continues to drop little nuggets like that when she starts being seen as (and ESPECIALLY treated as) if not a Boy Mom or an Ableist Mom, at the very least an Innocently Insensitive Mom minus the coddling attitude someone like her would hope “naturally” comes with that title.

I mean, if OG, Canon Emilie went so far as to give herself Magic Wasting Disease by using a broken Miraculous to invent the Perfect™️ Obedient Prodigy Child that Literally Cannot Disobey and Has No "Flaws" instead of, you know...adoption...

I definitely see her as the kind of person who can't handle a "broken" child that might, idk, need some help?

Kinda want to write a Spock POV post-fal-tor-pan fic where Spock sees Jim and is instantly whammed with the fact that he's in love with him, but still has no idea why or what that means, so he just goes around with a knot of love tangled in his mind, utterly baffled as to why it's there or how to figure it out. He can't ask the kolinahr adepts, because it feels un-vulcan, so instead he's just. confusedly pining the entire time.

Jim smiles sappily at him and Spock's like "My Heart Is Beating Faster. Why Is My Heart Beating Faster. There Is No Cause For My Heart To Be Beating Faster. Do I Have Tachycardia."

Spock, to McCoy: Doctor, is there history of heart disease in my family?

Bones, suspicious: Yes? Why? (already surreptitiously scanning Spock w/ a tricorder)

Spock: I have noticed concerning irregularities in my heart beat. They occur primarily around Admiral Kirk.

Bones, freezing: Repeat that for me, Spock?

Spock: I have noti-

[FIVE MINUTES LATER]

Spock, annoyed: Doctor, cease laughing. I fail to understand what part of my medical condition you find so amusing.
