I’ve been really digging into a couple musicals lately, one of which being Wicked, which I saw the other day and subsequently got ✨obsessed✨ with.

Dug out a copy of the book it’s based on and it’s astoundingly good, Elphaba is so sassy??? And she and Boq are actually friends??? And there’s actual context for the dragon clock?? I cannot overemphasize how much I love book!Elphaba, she is a joy to read.

I’m only like… halfway through the first book of the series, but I’m so in love, adaptation is such an interesting creature and I’ve enjoyed diving into it. It’s like the first book I’ve been able to dedicate actual attention to, and I’ve been having such a good time.
