Personally, her Hush has a dear and special place in my heart. He's just my favorite~!

I dont have anything creative or profound to say here- all of pycth's designs are smoking hot and would render me selectively mute with a glance, 'nuff said. Highlights: How can I PICK? Ugh, hottest of the hot that comes to mind has got to be their President Moore art; like, this pose isn't FAIR. On the other end of the spectrum, if you want your heart kicked in the butt, I don't think any of us are over this Sam piece or ever will be.

after the all-valley and cobra kai, johnny felt like he’d lost everything

then he found you

you had just barely known each other, growing up in the same vicinity but never really saying a word to each other

until one day at encino oaks, johnny spotted you sunbathing on an unusually warm day and took a chance

“y/n, right?” -johnny, sitting on the pool chair next to you

“that’s right” -you, tilting your sunglasses down

“i’m johnny. we, uh, we go to west valley together”

“yeah, i’ve heard of you” -you

his stomach sank (he’s got a bad track record)

“yeah, that’s unfortunate.” -johnny, getting up to leave and pausing “would you be interested in jumping in the pool with me?”

you stared at him for a few seconds (cuz you could tell he wasn’t too confident) and got up, actually jumping in the pool in a full cannonball

his spirits were lifted and he jumped in right after you

you two swam around splashing and annoying the older club members, but it was no matter

but johnny finally found a reason to fight again and he wanted to fight for you

“why dont you just plan it and i’ll be ready. just tell me what i should wear” -you, kissing him on the cheek

he always felt so cool and confident but you had him flustered and about to buckle at the knees

he decided to keep it casual for now because you seemed so “go with the flow” and there were so many things to do, so many distractions to keep him from doing something stupid

and of course he picked you up because you still didn’t have your license yes

“come on, i’ll teach you how to drive” -johnny

“noooo thank you, i am not driving your car” -you

you drove it one block and he understood why you didn’t have your license

johnny paid for all your tokens and you guys had a blast competing in games and ended up with a pretty decent pile of tickets

“i have no idea what you’re talking about” -johnny

daniel was actually at golf n stuff that night with ali but johnny didn’t even care he was so infatuated with you

he bought you some nachos for a snack, which he snuck a few bites in shamelessly

you still haven’t kissed at this point but he was waiting for the perfect moment

you made sure to touch his arms and keep close and flirt, sending all the right signals

he seemed like such a go-getter, you were getting impatient

and finally, he took you to the ferris wheel and made it all cliche and special wrapping his arm around your shoulders and waiting until you two were at the top of the wheel to place a hand on your cheek and kiss you gently

(gentle went away fast you had been waiting for this for a whole WEEK and thats a lifetime for a teenager)

he was giddy for the rest of the night and all he’d gotten was a quick makeout session

he ended up pooling all your tickets together for a stuffed animal of your choice

it couldn’t have been a better first date honestly

and soon enough he was driving you to school, walking you to class, bringing you little gifts, getting you into trouble, listening to music with you, sneaking out with you, just doing everything with and for you

and the promposal was very cute classic (a sign and some flowers, he wasn’t all too creative)

and when prom came around, you two stood out! you both looked stunning and styling, everyoneeee was jealous

a miracle he didn’t get a speeding ticket

soon enough you two had graduated and gone off to college together

although johnny had a hard time focusing on what really mattered

you two definitely partied together and he was always so protective and caring, making sure no one made a pass at you or made you uncomfortable (and if they did he’d try to fight them and you’d drag him away)

some of those nights were memorable, but he started slipping and you kept trying to keep him on the right path

he had a few wakeup calls

and proposed to you

and you accepted

and for a while, he did things right for you

but in the end, he just couldn’t grow up and you broke it off

all the fighting and drinking and partying and bailing him out of jail finally became too much and you returned the ring

“i wish it were different johnny. i really do. i thought you were the one. but i cant be with you if you’re not gonna grow up. i love you, and im sorry, but im done” -you

he was a WRECK after that he spiraled completely and cried for you for months

and he tried to get you back. he tried to straighten up and fly right but he always fell back into the same problems, and his friends were just as dumb as he was

you’d get a drunken call now and then of johnny rambling how sorry he was and how he still loves you and he wanted to change and begging you to take him back

you went on one last date with him and saw a very grim future

and realized you didn’t want to stick around to fix him

“do you still have the stuffed animal from our first date?” -johnny

“promise me you’ll keep it forever” -johnny

his parents were so incredibly disappointed in him and that he “lost a good one”

and he never stopped beating himself up over it.

i like to think that you guys go shopping together!! cause shopping with friends (wink) is so fun<3

whenever you go out you HAVE to buy merch of pro hero deku!! and he gets all fluttery when you do!!

(also we’re not going to talk about the secret cardboard cutout that he found in your closet when looking for a sweatshirt. he could’ve died right then and there /pos)

now. one day, you stumble in on a drug deal (jfc…) cause you were looking for smthn in your bag and didn’t wanna be in the way of people.

obviously things go awry. the druggie men (one looks like he could be a mafia boss??) grab you and throw you deeper into the alleyway you chose.

luckily our pro hero deku was on patrol! he witnessed the men shoving you to the ground and pulling out weapons.

now, deku doesn’t usually jump straight into fighting, no— he tries to reason first. he tries to convince them to put their weapons down and see that this whole ordeal is dumb. but— this time??

he jumped straight into action. he hurdle himself over the small concrete edge of the building he was on one of the men.

straight up knocked the guy unconscious. dude was out cold. dead asleep. concussed.

this would also be the first of many saves.

the next couple of times were just small things—

like pulling you away from oncoming cars (aka drivers who weren’t paying attention) when he was patrolling in your area

about the,,,,, 7th?? time he saved you— he just couldn’t believe how you were always getting yourself in these situations.

he’ll ask, “how do you keep getting yourself into situations like these?” half serious, half joking

“not sure but, i’m lucky you’re always there to save me,” you’d reply, good lord your heart would racing.

he’ll laugh and sport a blush under his mask. you’ll feel a slight churn in your stomach (not a bad one) because— he sounds so familiar.

you go back home— feeling giddy because he finally spoke to you— yes he’s talked to you before but— they weren’t sentences. they were small ‘be safe’s and ‘watch out’s.

you immediately call up izuku, needing to talk to someone about this. and he’s trying to hide his blush as you compliment the hero, as you compliment him.

it’s a dim, snowy day that he saves you, again. it’s cold and your lips were chapped because the air was dry.

once again, you find yourself in an alleyway. surrounded by ‘villains’.

he, of course, saves you. just like the last time.

“you might need to become a homebody,” he jokes, he’s frustratingly concerned.

“that’d be no fun, how else would i see you?”

where the hell did that come from? that really wasn’t a ‘you’ thing to say.

as soon as you were at home, you, once again, called izuku!! and he went to your house an hour after.

he listened to you rant about how you embarrassed yourself in front of deku and how you could never face him again. you said “i’d rather be shanked by a villain than face him again. i can’t believe i said that.”

you were hot with embarrassment and honestly felt the urge to cry (or is that just a me thing?)

“it wasn’t embarrassing, plus, i’d rather you not shank yourself because of me.”

You know how you always find it strange that your ‘little insignificant’ plot bunnies are the ones that get traction….well here I am on the soulmarks AU still losing my mind. Like LOSING IT.

I love soulmarks, antematter converted me with bloom, which is astoundingly beautiful, and my attraction is that they’re so sweet and heartwarming and tender - but now you’ve completely transformed them for me. The idea of Anthony being feral over her mark, the possessiveness, his and Kate teasing him with it. You’ve changed the game. I can’t stop thinking about it.

Well I wasn't planning to write any more because I wasn't thinking there would be a lot of plot/drama. (Not that you can't have those things with soulmate fics...I just didn't envision this fic that way.) But if everyone would be down for a one-shot where they're just really horny and in love and there's no angst, I'll consider writing it.

Your soulmark AU is one of the best I’ve ever read, truly. And I love that we got just a snippet of them together at the end, idk, it just really works in this. I enjoy when you expand your AUs with headcanons though, do you have any in particular for this one?

Kate likes to bite Anthony's shoulder during sex, right where his mark is.

They fudge the details of how they met (a common theme in my fics, I'm realizing) and then Ben blows it by accidentally letting something slip from that night and his family is like what???

Anthony didn't want to meet his soulmate because he blamed the soulmate connection for why Violet was catatonic after Edmund's death. So he never actively searched for her. But when Ben called to say he found Anthony's soulmate and was going to sleep with her, it just didn't sit well with him, so he went not really intending to do anything but know who she was and cockblock Ben. And then they saw each other and it was pretty much all over from there. But it does still scare him, feeling so much for someone and potentially leaving either of them in that kind of grief.

I think this is true across most AUs: Kate always thought she would hate having a guy stuck to her like glue, but she loves it with Anthony. Neither of them truly understood what having a soulmate would feel like. They quite literally can't get enough of each other.

Kate's Amma and Appa were soulmates, but Mary and her Appa weren't, so Kate just grew up feeling like you could love and be happy with someone who isn't your soulmate and people put too much pressure around it.

Anthony says I love you after a month. He doesn't love her just because they're soulmates, but everything he knows about her shows him why they are soulmates. They are so alike but also complement each other in the most important ways.

Kate also never thought she would like possessiveness, but by god does it work for her with Anthony. Any time another guy hits on her (which happens a lot, because look at her) Anthony has her in some dark corner growling "you're mine" and she melts in his arms.

Xrayshipping / Loganzep headcanons

(this is kinda long so be warned but i beg you to read it i need others to hear me out on this random ship i accidentally created while trying to think of someone to ship logan with)

zep lives au:

so basically i’ve created this au where zep survives because adam wasn’t strong enough to actually bash his head in so zep crawled out of the bathroom (after amanda killed adam or saved adam or whatever you wanna go with) and was able to not get arrested (don’t ask me how because i don’t know. maybe he was able to convince the police he was actually forced to hold alison and diana hostage and come up with a convincing lie that he doesn’t know what happened to detective tapp)

this whole thing could also just be worked into zep just becoming one of john’s apprentices if you ignore that he failed his test. i prefer my interpretation though since i don’t think zep would ever want to be an apprentice.

after his encounter with adam, zep has scars across the side of his face, and there’s very small patches on his head where hair isn’t able to grow anymore. he of course got a severe concussion from the beating too, and he now gets headaches and migraines a lot. (i really don’t know how the scars would look or if the hair thing makes sense and googling “blunt force trauma scars” like my friend suggested… did not work to say the least)

he often wears beanies or has his hood up to try to cover some of the scars. (this later on will lead to logan constantly calling him handsome and beautiful)

obviously zep quits his job at the hospital, and he ends up working at some shitty restaurant in a mall food court where he eventually reunites with logan

zep and logan already vaguely knew each other from working at the same hospital (zep always had a lowkey hallway crush on logan)

logan was shocked to see zep had survived, as john never told him and logan never had any reason to go to the bathroom.

zep was at first unaware that logan was now john’s apprentice, but eventually he figured it out. it made him really nervous at first, which made logan upset. after many conversations with logan, zep grew to trust him again

in general, zep is a lot more on edge after his test, and is almost constantly anxious unless he’s with logan. he’s always scared lawrence is going to find out he’s alive and hunt him down for what he did to alison and diana. (logan would eventually talk to lawrence about it and make sure it was safe for zep to be around the other apprentices… not that zep even wants to be around them that often)

general / cute relationship stuff:

after logan and zep reunite, they start “hanging out” a lot (they’re basically going on dates but neither of them will admit it)

logan is bi and zep is gay and transmasc (no cis man is named shepherd. btw that is his canon full name according to the script ^_^)

zep has never been in a relationship before, so he’s very inexperienced with everything that comes with being in one (but he’s usually not shy about it. just nervous. i dont want him to be some shy blushing twink because he’s NOT that he is a little weirdo)

logan on the other hand has been in some relationships before, but never anything too intense. or anything with a man. so it’s new for both of them.

zep fell in love first, obviously. he was down bad the moment logan was nice to him. logan fell for zep not long after, although he denied it at first.

i also headcanon zep as being autistic, so I think he’d have a lot of unique ways of showing his affection for logan, who would find all of these absolutely adorable. (he’d do something stupid like point at a crushed monster energy can next to a crushed root beer can on the side of the road and be like “that’s so us” and logan would shed a tear out of pure joy)

logan is very careful and gentle with zep, always making sure he’s comfortable and feels safe.

if is an au where adam survives… logan would absolutely detest him for hurting zep. He wouldn’t harm adam, of course, but he would just glare and stare at him angrily while adam tries to figure out wtf is going on. i don’t think zep would hate adam for what happened; he understands very well the circumstances of john’s games.

zep listens to music like oingo boingo and the cure, but logan is a full on country guy and it drives zep insane. eventually logan gets into better music but still brainrot popular radio stuff like nsync & the backstreet boys.

zep will deny this, but he thinks the scars on logan’s back are very attractive in a way. he is actually so physically attracted to logan it makes him dizzy.

random logan headcanon: i think he is southern and moved to [whatever city saw takes place in] when he got older. sometimes his old accent will peak through in his voice, and boy oh boy did zep immediately start having some interesting thoughts about logan dressed as a cowboy the first time he noticed it.

Well, there’s one specific scene for the first question.

I saw this and was like, wait. This alien’s kinda.. hot. And he was making these adorable faces all cuz he was fighting Saitama. Then he dies, after making Saitama use the serious punch for the first time in the story.

They were really something. So naturally i started shipping them. And I naturally went to ao3 to look up borosai and despaired cuz there was only like 40 fics for them at the time. But still, I read them all(and they were all great), and started drawing art for them. Back then, I had no idea that I’d be fixating on them for so long, longer than anything i had a fixation for😂

My favorite thing about this ship is that they’re so different. Almost everything about them is so comically different. Just look at these two.

Just them standing next to each other is visual comedy at its finest.

They have different moralities, personalities, styles, amounts of hair, etc.

Which makes their similarities all the more interesting. They’re both bored to death, because they’re too strong. They both crave that stimulation of being in a fight with their lives at stake. They both feel lonely, because no one understands what it’s like to have this kind of strength. This loneliness is shown more in depth with Saitama, but I think it’s the same with Boros too. When we’re first shown Boros, he’s all stoic and cold with his subordinates, his expression barely changing. But when he meets Saitama, it morphs into excitement. Then as the fight goes on, it turns into an almost childish glee, making him ramble on about his strength, his home planet, until Saitama snaps at him to stfu😂 But who can blame him? After so many years of solitude he finally meets someone who’s on the same page as him.

With their fight, Boros gets what he wanted. The fight he was craving so much. A fight telling him that there’s still something that can surprise him in this Universe. That he wasn’t alone. Which is why even as he was shocked that he had lost, he doesn’t feel angry or bitter about it. Rather, it almost seems like he feels pity for Saitama. Because surely there’s no chance for him to meet someone who is as strong as him. So he calls out Saitama’s name, as his last words, and dies.

All the above is more or less canon, but if we were to veer a bit off course into an au where Boros lived, there’s so much potential for an interesting relationship between them. Imagine the possibilities. He could be like a stronger version of Sonic, challenging Saitama week after week, always getting his ass kicked but coming back for more, a little stronger than last time. And hey, since this is a Borosai au, they could very well fall in love😆

This turned out to be longer than I expected and not exactly on topic but look, I can’t help myself.

The current hc that’s rotating in my brain rn is that they’re madly in love, and is married. And have a child😂

Okay i know this sounds absolutely bonkers but I’ve been hardcore shipping them for too long and them being in a relationship is like a default setting for me when I think about them, so giving them a kid to take care of on top of all that just came naturally. Imagine the utter chaos it would ensue. It’d be peak comedy.

I’ve seen the bnha actor AU...I’m so late to the party...but I needed to come back cuz I got invested again.

So here it is, bnha actor au / reader insert headcanons

✧ You play a character in the LOV who is in a little “love triangle’ between Dabi and Shigiraki (Ironically enough it plays into your real life on set everyday lol)

✧ Endeavor played Thanos in the Avengers and you were Gamora so of course any chance you get on set with him you both reenact scenes-

✧ now that you both play on Boku no Hero (but unrelated characters) you guys barely see each other

✧ but when you do he always makes sure to give you a hug and a pat on the head because he sees you as an actual daughter 🥺

✧ Everyone on set loves you and you always wonder why because you barely do anything but stay in your trailer all-day 

✧ Toga always tries to drag you out of your trailer to hang out and go eat with everyone tho so :P

✧ you and the LOV cast did an interview altogether and it was purely chaotic because everyone is a menace both on and off screen. 

✧One time you were paired to do an interview with both Dabi and Shigaraki and safe to say, there are now memes and compilations of you three being THE WORST to interview. Either one of you answers the questions normally and the other two are making jokes OR all three are answering questions in the most chaotic way possible.

✧Dabi sometimes asks you to stay and talk in his trailer as he’s getting HOURS of makeup on and you oblige cuz you feel bad lol. So you both have a bunch of Instagram photos/videos of you two “behind the scenes”. You barely post tho so everyone’s still waiting for the U.S.J. Arc photo dump.

✧Since finding out you and Dabi hang out when he’s getting his prosthetics and makeup done, Shigiraki decided it was his place to drag you out of your trailer and force you to sit through his makeup hours. His still a little weirdo in real life but he’s not AS weird and just jealous lol

✧You and Dabi jokingly ship your castmate's characters together and make fun of them for it, but when both Todoroki and Inasa became a couple in real life, it shook you both. #inatodo trended on Twitter for days.

✧ while you’re usually in your trailer the one time you decide to go out and watch your fellow castmates work, you walked in when they were filming young Shigiraki murking his whole fam.  

✧safe to say you never go out of your trailer to watch anyone doing their scenes (unless it involves you) ever again. (you cried...hard) ps. the actor who plays young Shigaraki also has a baby crush on you and it is adorable when he tries to follow you to your trailer. A real-life gremlin just like his character. 

✧after a while since everyone knows you just stay in your trailer they decided if you’re not going to come to them, then they’re going to come to you. :D

✧ and yes that includes the 1-A actors, all of the LOV cast, and sometimes even the pro-heroes. Your trailer just now unanimously became the hang-out spot and while you act annoyed, you secretly love the company. 

✧the pro-heroes who are basically just veteran actors (except for Present Mic, who’s only been acting for a year) like to ask how you’re doing and settling into the industry/business since it can be a rough/demanding one. 

✧They really care and want to share their wisdom with everyone because they’re just the best.  

✧It’s ALWAYS hilarious when someone messes up their lines because the whole cast will literally DRAG them for it, so now everyone's afraid to fuck up.

aight update on the future au:

polls not over yet but it’s leaning heavily at McCormick, so i’ll give you my pcov designs and some headcanons for the McCormick parents rn cause out of all the adults they’re my favs 💕💖

i love them so much you don’t understand (also surprise surprise Kenny married Butters [changed his name to Vic], no one could have ever guessed that considering one of my first art posts on this account was a bunny comic 🙄)

anyway they both have mullets cause i just really like mullets, and Vic shaved the side of her head cause that’s my headcanon of what butter’s hair is in the show (cause his little tomato puff makes no sense) and i feel like he would have kept those.

more details and explanations for some things under the cut (aka im ranting about my fav characters and how they work as a couple with little bits of au lore sprinkled in)

Vic-

you may notice i’m jumping back and forth between he and she for Vic, and that’s cause he uses she/he. Don’t get me wrong, I love Butters and Marjorine, but i’ve seen the argument between them so many times. “Butters is a Cis guy!” “Marj is a trans girl!” fuck it Vic is a gnc icon and picks whatever gender he wants depending on whatever the fuck he wants and he’s hot both masc and fem. and i mean very hot. Butters in the show gets a couple descriptive things, namely in the “It’s Butters!” song hes said to have dimples, and more importantly when his father thinks he’s wearing his mom’s makeup when he’s not. that means this kids got perfectly flushed cheeks, nice eyelashes and eyebrows, and unblemished porcelain skin even at 8 years old. that paired with his blonde hair and presumably blue eyes (i’ve never met a blondie without blue eyes), emphasized cheek bones we see in the pcov special (implying he’s got a more slender face and likely more slender and long figure in general, which is the what literal modeling agents tend to look for btw [i would know my grandma and mom were models because they were both pretty with thin frames and lanky limbs]), and the scar over his left eye makes him insanely attractive.

the scar especially gives him something to stand out with; make people remember him (sometimes he even takes out his glass eye just so people get a good look at his empty socket and that image can be seared into their brains). being androgynous also helps make everyone, whether they’re attracted to men or women, find him hot. no one even knows if Vic is short for Victor or Victoria, and that’s the point. also due to how he grew up in this au (spoiler alert, Vic’s life was awful for a lot of years between beginning of high school and when he reconnected with Kenny as an adult [that’s an understatement Vic is by far the most traumatized character in this au]), he doesn’t feel particularly comfortable with being on one perfect end of the gender spectrum; girl or boy. So no matter how he’s presenting, he’s always going to look somewhat androgynous.

Kenny-

Kenny is kinda the same, i just wanted him to look more cool and unhinged. I got rid of the full beard cause i can’t draw it and also hated it, but i added snake bites cause they’re cool. I also got rid of the beer on his shirt cause I feel like after being raised by two alcoholic assholes he wouldn’t drink much as an adult. oh yeah and he’s a he/they now cause you can’t tell me princess kenny didn’t awaken something in him. i feel like he would go to a fancy award ceremony for some massive science breakthrough in a gown. he’s the typa guy to accept some prestigious award for his scientific findings in a slutty silk dress. Basically everything I changed in Kenny’s design was to make him look more like the wacky uncle who gives children weapons (spoilers he is). i kept how the pcov specials made his stockier cause honestly i just like him a little bit bigger. I feel like that’s a treat to himself. he spent so long in a home where he’d probably have to starve some night cause they couldn’t afford to eat, so when he becomes an extremely successful adult, he can give himself the luxury of eating three meals a day or eating junk food that was too expensive for him. he can finally afford to be a little bit heavier; it’s just proof that he’s made it this far from where he came. He’s also more of a mad scientist in this au a la Dr. Mephesto, but far more ethical in what/how he runs experiments.

Their dynamic and characterization in this au is by far the most fleshed out because of how much I like these two characters, and it’s genuinely my favorite couple in the au. I might make a whole separate post on how they operate as parents because they’re both so horrifically worried that they may accidentally follow in their own parents footsteps. Yknow, generational trauma and whatnot. They’re also both insanely unhinged. Both of them are just balls of the walls crazy, which stems from both of them being traumatized (i mentioned Vic is the most traumatized in this au, Kenny is the second most cause of dying thousands of times over his whole life).

Kenny has lost all grasp of physical or mortal fear cause by this time in his life he’s died so much he’s lost any sense of connection to injury, even to other people. It’s difficult for him to register that other people are mortal because it’s such a foreign concept to him, and that can lead to some issues in the lab given that it’s such a dangerous place to work. Meanwhile, Vic has the people she cares about, and has a hard time grasping that people she doesn’t care about aren’t just stepping stones. She was used her whole life, then used and hurt people as an adult (yes she was an NFT bro, no she’s not anymore), but now she has a hard time not snapping back into the NFT thing and scheming every cent out of whoever gave her a dirty look at Walmart. Kenny and Vic can and generally do help each other out with these things, but they can also be each others worst instigators (“oh yeah you should absolutely do that consequences be damned” “no he had it coming to him don’t worry” “yeah fuck him up! beat his ass!” typa shit. they support each other non-conditionally but sometimes that leads to them getting arrested).

Thoughts on an au where Earth also has alchemy but it's kinda like one in fma and Lance did the Human Transmutation?? (I don't think kid!Lance would initially be interested in studying nerd shit alchemy but if it's to bring someone he loves? Then yeah. This guy was in show equivalent of nasa/stem program so he can be a pilot, I believe in him)

Very very very much like where you’re going with this Anon. Because oh boy does this give one the opportunity to test Lance to his limits *insert one evil cackle here.* (As someone who loves fmab, but especially fma03 and what that particular version did with its homunculus, *fma spoilers here* and their relationship with identity, and the identity imposed upon them, the very essence of ‘came back wrong’ this could lead to a horrible no good very bad time for Lance should I start writing anything remotely like this. Which I’ve now begun. Whoops.)

I have many thoughts :))) Probably focused way too much on the fma alchemy part, but brace yourself.

So. Humans have alchemy. Maybe they’re naturally born with this ability, perhaps many years ago ancient Alteans arrived in hiding and brought the practice of alchemy with them. It’s just a thing that’s always existed.

Pidge and Matt are the obvious to go for if you follow the fma storyline. They’re the kid geniuses and honestly that sounds like an interesting fic following the pair of them resurrecting their Dad (or perhaps Pidge trying to and Matt only catches on far too late). But. But. But Lance going f*** it we ball and messing around with those mystic mumbo jumbo dark forces he doesn’t get, learning to understand them because he cannot handle a reality where this dead person isn’t around? Yes please. I write self indulgently.

You get it! Lance got into fighter pilot class because there was a spot, meaning he would probably have been the top of cargo class, and you don’t get there without at least trying. Yeah, he’d call it ‘nerdy’, but this guy will put in the effort if it comes to it, and who’s he fooling, he was very much enjoying himself in that M&m episode.

So, if the situation arises, if he loses someone he cares about, and he’s in a world where the solution is there seemingly in the palm of his hand (human transmutation)? Yeah, he’ll put in the hard work, and wouldn’t think twice about the repercussions on him if it means whoever he’s doing this for will be okay. Is it selfish? Is it selfless? Who can say? Lance cares so much for his family, something happening to them would devastate him, so in this kind of au they’ll probably be at the top of the list of resurrection. So I’m thinking:

-His mother (his family is in shambles and a kid Lance wants things to go back to normal). Totally not ripping off fma with this suggestion.

-Rachel (they’re the closest in age, she has a matching jacket with him/has worn a spare version of his jacket so I’m gonna use what little breadcrumbs I have to presume she’s the sibling closest to him. I also like the probably refuted by canon headcanon of them being twins, and how upon returning to earth those two would deal with this new 3 year age gap between them. The ramifications of that time skip and Lance trying to find his own place in his family again just seems interesting to explore but I digress).

-Veronica (have more of a feel for her personality as opposed to characters like Rachel, Marco, and Luis. And Lance was pretty protective of her, despite Veronica being older than him).

-Hunk (could even go the childhood friends route with them). There’s nothing Lance wouldn’t do for his friends, he values them so much.

-Allura if it’s set around the same time as canon is (I’m an allurancer at heart and can’t help adding her to the list. Besides, allura has healed/resurrected him in canon during omega shield. Lance would want to give back, and would probably rationalise it as something she would do, sacrificing herself for someone else. Mr I can’t imagine this world without you is going to great lengths to get her the heck back, even at the cost of himself aka the fic I’m currently writing now Anon what have you done).

-or to pull plots up from canon, it could be Shiro and this is how Kuron (homunculus Shiro) is born, but I kinda see Keith being the one more likely to pull off the human transmutation for this. Maybe they work together on this? It would mean that Shiro and Lance would have to have a stronger bond than they did in canon, but anything is possible in an au (not that they didn’t have small moments, but they weren’t a focus like Keith and Shiro were).

Of course, it doesn’t go to plan at all. Whatsoever.

To what lengths would he go for sacrifice?

It’s all about that equivalent exchange.

-an arm and a leg because this gives him the perfect coping with humour ™ opportunity to say it only cost him an arm and a leg. Plus, perhaps Lance brought this person back out of guilt, ‘if I had been fast enough—‘. His inaction to save them the first time now leaves him without an arm, or without a leg. Or both (he’s not tethering anyone’s soul to armour here, just depends on how much flesh is taken from him to recreate the deceased’s body). Also, also. It correlates to his two positions on Voltron. The very same arm he was, the very same leg.

Also. It’s about those parallels of being just that little bit more like his hero (Shiro) but knowing that the loss of his arm was self inflicted, making him feel like a false hero, a presense, and he couldn’t feel further away from Shiro. He failed to save this person.

-memories of him in the mind of people he cares about (If you’re feeling super mean).

-His memories of the deceased. Now he wants to know why exactly he risked so much to bring back this unknown person back. What do they mean to him?

They get thrown in a healing pod. Lance probably gets berated by whoever is there (Shiro, his mother, Coran) for doing so reckless, so risky without telling anyone. He knew they’d talk him out of this, but it all worked out right? Right?

But this person isn’t right.

Something about their skin is like a reanimated corpse’. It’s a little too pale. And their eyes are a little too dead. But it can all go by the wayside, they can ignore it. Being gone for so long can’t have been easy.

Said person resents who Lance made them be.

He didn’t bring them back at all.

And so we go the route of them having been brought back but is it really them? Or someone else who has been left with Lance’s memory of who they’re meant to be?

A small part of this person cares for Lance as they did, as a son/friend/sibling/significant other, and they hate that.

Maybe they require quintessence to keep them alive. And oh no. Not this again.

Just. Lance learning alchemy for the purpose of saving someone only he doesn’t save them at all. He risks it all to create a person that never asked to exist, that never asked to be who he wants them to be.

My first impression: huh. i don't know what's going on here but he seems interesting and competent.

My impression now: i would kill and die for him. he is my favorite character in mdzs and one of my favorites EVER. he has so many layers!! a-yao....

Favorite thing about that character: he's COMPETENT. to an absolutely insane degree. learning what he did about cultivation from shitty useless manuals and forming a golden core as an older teenager/young adult takes an INSANE amount of talent, not to mention HENSHENG??? he is the only (named?) character to have a soft sword, he's adapted bits of fighting styles from multiple major sects, and he's skilled enough with Hensheng that at some point he has shattered multiple spiritual weapons with it. he was a spy under WEN FUCKING RUOHAN for months. he and wwx are entirely responsible for winning the sunshot campaign and he dealt the final blow. also what he did with the song of turmoil?? equally insane amount of talent.

Least favorite thing: the Bad TakesTM. he attracts them like FLIES

Favorite line/scene: Lan Xichen! In this life, I’ve lied countless times, killed countless times. Like you said, I killed my father, my brother, my wife, my son, my teacher, my friend—of all the evil in the world, what haven’t I done?!...But I’ve never even thought of harming you!

honestly his entire Guanyin Temple showing is nuts in the best way and i am chewing on him. close seconds are him on the stairs of Jinlintai looking at Nie Mingjue and going, of course they and I are different! the utter RESIGNATION of it. the truth of it!! he will never be treated like the rest of the cultivation world, he knows it, and Mingjue can't see it like he does!

Favorite interaction that character has with another: every time he and xichen are on screen or on page together is just. so nuts. the box scene. guanyin temple (god!!!!!!!!!! augh). everything cql added in.

A character that I wish that character would interact with more: Qin Su!! she needs more time anyway but god their relationship is SO TRAGIC and i love looking at AUs where the whole marriage can be avoided and there aren't lasting scars left on both jgy and qs from. you know. accidentally marrying your half sibling because your shared father is a rapist. also, we get zero real looks at how their relationship is before everything goes south and it pains me.

Another character from another fandom that reminds me of that character: this is so fucking hard oh my god. there are bits of He Xuan and Ling Wen that i see in him, i think? especially the. "i was born the same day as you and i am cleverer than you but my life was a tragedy and yours was perfect, so why was I not worthy of the same fate you were? why did I get nothing when you got everything?" and the "you know what? I am tired of cleaning up your messes. i am going to cause problems now." he also... i cannot explain this one but his vibes are very similar to Alexander of Tirragen from the Song of the Lioness quartet in my mind. i genuinely truly cannot comprehend WHY those two are associated in my brain, but they are.

A headcanon about that character: he was in love with Xichen and Xichen was in love with him. god bless the cql xiyao agenda.

An unpopular opinion about that character: he and Mingjue's relationship could not have been fixed, or at least not without considerable effort on Mingjue's part, post-Sunshot and especially around the time of the stairs before JGY starts playing turmoil. JGY did not need to put more effort into it! he was already putting effort into it! Mingjue's worldview is fundamentally incompatible with JGY's existence, frankly. It never mattered how hard he tried to mend the relationship because Mingjue would always see him as a liar who was trying to manipulate him, and the sworn brotherhood was not a good idea, Xichen, good god.

I’m really sorry my content kinda went so downhill lately.

I have been in a bad place for a long time—due to friends, the way things are going, my living situation, and just the way life in general is going.

Me, my mom, and one of my grandmas went somewhere for Halloween—to dress up and have fun, you know..halloweeny things.

Yesterday, on Halloween, I got insanely sick. Head throbbing, throat burning to where I couldn’t speak or breathe…and I just had to deal with it because my body physically won’t let me take any medicine. While I’m typing this, I’m still fighting this god awful sickness and I feel like death reincarnated

I feel like I’m nothing without some kind of reassurance..like without someone constantly in my ear saying “you’re awesome truss!” but that shouldn’t be someone’s job.

One of my main escapes from how god boring and mentally draining my day-to-day life is—is drawing!!—or posting silly things online to you guys..

I really like drawing, I have fun with it I enjoy it..but more often than not, if doesn’t get too much recognition. It does get some—and I’m very thankful!! But stuff like this::

My furina drawing took about 2ish hours, and I’m very proud with the result, but it got about 16/18(? Haven’t re-checked) likes which of course heavily unmotivates me.

I love putting detail and lots of time into my stuff…but I just feel like it’s all for nothing—hence why I haven’t been posting much art, I just don’t feel like the people like it.

With my headcanony stuff I post every other day(mostly), it also doesn’t do very well. I always kinda think that it’s because I headcanon the same two characters over and over again….but they’re my favs and I don’t want to go out of my way to make headcanons for characters I personally don’t care about too much… IE chase. (Sorry chase)

I know very well that nobody is obligated to like all my content, but I’m trying my hardest to share my cool Bridgette stuff to all my Bridgette fans out there—but I just feel like it doesn’t get there and it bums me out.

But also—I’ve seen a lot of mh mutuals vent or stuff,, and my main thing would normally always be to stop and say something comforting—because I always want to make sure someone’s okay but I just. I’m not in a half decent mental state and I can barely conjure up an “itll be okay”. So to my moots whose vents I scrolled past in a panic: I’m really sorry, and I hope you’re all doing okay. You’re all amazing, and I hope you’re doing better.

Enough about my content & stuff though and heres my apology::

I really am sorry that I’m kinda just..falling off. Staying somewhat relevant is very important to me because I am ultimately nothing. I don’t have many friends, and I’m a very isolated person..though not by choice. The only friends I really have kind of..hurt and or play w/ my feelings? More often than not, atleast. But that’s nobodies problem but my own

I’m still whipping up little headcanons and au things , and I swear when I (hopefully) move and get out of the disheartening place I live—I will make it my mission to draw more…post more..etc…and I’m sorry I didn’t immediately start off this account with that intent. Random DOT EXE idea/AU/??? that came to me in a weird dream last night: The crew is actually a hive mind! Basically someone uploaded their mind to a huge server (or rather, servers in a whole server room) hidden somewhere in New Amsterdam, and the DOT EXE members are remote controlled robots piloted by the person in the server.

(Note that this is not “canon” to my main set of headcanons. This is just a fun "what if" idea! Feel free to take it and do whatever you want with it. :P )

One of the Oldheads mentions that DOT EXE are about as old as her, so we know that the crew has been around for a while, if not every member being the same age. So let’s say there was a predecessor crew for DOT EXE, of all full-flesh people. Over time, most of the crew members quit being writers (either they get bored of it, or they got arrested too many times for their liking, etc.), leaving just one member who still wants to be a writer and breakdancer.

This one guy is heartbroken and lonely from all his friends giving up on the crew, not to mention he can already feel his age catching up to him. He learns about cyberheads and cybernetics and all, so he decides to go full-cyber. But in a way that he can effectively be part of a crew again!

Hence the mind upload to the server, and creating robots in the form of the DOT EXE bodies for him to pilot remotely. Much like a puppeteer with puppets, he even acts each one with slightly different personalities. More specifically, he makes each of them act at least a little similar to each of his old crew mates, making it seem like they all came back to go full-cyber with him together. This way, no one suspects that they’re all just the same person (especially so that he doesn’t end up with the police tracing them back to him)!

The one closest to his original personality is actually the cue ball member. The original guy was not very good at being a writer (he was a lot better at breakdancing), but he still stuck to it to be able to hang out and have fun with his friends. Eight Ball is of course based off the original crew’s leader.

So then what about Eight Ball dying during the game? Well, not much different from a toy breaking. Just fix it or get a new one!

The DOT EXE server guy found getting shot kinda lousy (truthfully a bit traumatizing, but he’ll insist he’s fine with it), but ultimately he “survived” since his actual mind is safe and sound in his server. Of course, the DOT EXE server guy has been keeping up the illusion that DOT EXE are individual humans (full-cyber humans, but still). So he can’t just fix the Eight Ball body back up, since other people are gonna freak out that someone who “died” came back to life! Still, this would explain why the cue ball member seems so casual about Eight Ball dying in the postgame, y’know?

As for Eight Ball appearing in Red’s dream after his death, I imagine that’s not actually Eight Ball like I’ve seen some people headcanon. Red learned about DOT EXE being able to read signals and all, and after seeing Eight Ball dead, his mind just combined the two memories/thoughts into “Yo, someone shot me, check the signals and figure out who did it”.

Bonus: If you get the DOT EXE server guy to fall in love with you (either by getting close to just one of the “crew members”, or otherwise somehow talking to him directly in his server), you would technically have both 1 boyfriend and 5 of them! 6 if you count Eight Ball (maybe he’ll just replace Eight Ball with a new number). Potentially 8 if you also count the unused 10-ball and 14-ball textures from the games as off-screen extra members, lol

Answering for my Ghostbur-centric modern AU :D Hi, Pinestripe!!

Is there any relationship that's different in this au than in the source material?

YES! Ghostbur & Dream, most absolutely! They are brothers in this fic! Step-brothers, to be precise; they met when Ghostbur was 16 and Dream was 14, when Ghostbur’s mother + Dream’s dad got together. Ghostbur & Dream quickly became very close, and they love each other a whole lot.

It’s been… strange, writing these two in This kind of relationship! Canonically, c!Dream and c!Ghostbur didn’t interact very much. They were never close at all, and Dream was the one who killed Ghostbur for crying out loud.

I’m not too sure why my brain came up with the idea of making them brothers, but DUDE I’ve been having some of the most fun writing them + figuring out their messy brotherly relationship. Dream & Ghostbur love each other deeply, but their relationship is not healthy. It’s been so interesting to think about.

Tommy is also in this fic, and he and Ghostbur are brothers (which is pretty much how they were canonically) but… Tommy is four years old in this fic :) He is simply so tiny. And Ghostbur is about 23 so there is a Big age gap. It’s so freakin cute 😭 Ghostbur is trying so hard to be a good older brother (and sort of a parent as well, because Tommy’s bio-parents aren’t in the picture so Ghostbur’s mainly the one caring for him) and he loves Tommy to the moon and back and Tommy loves him more than anyone else and GAH!!

Dream & Tommy are also brothers!! Dream is around 21 years old, so there’s quite a big age gap for them too. Dream loves & cares about Tommy a lot, but there’s a sort of distance between them. The truth of the matter is that if Dream had to choose between Tommy and Ghostbur, he would choose Ghostbur without hesitation. He doesn’t love Tommy as much, and even though Tommy is only four, he can definitely pick up on that. That’s why Ghostbur is Tommy’s favorite brother lol

Dream has really bad panic attacks. They’re debilitating and scary, and if he doesn’t have Ghostbur around to help him calm down, then things get Real bad. Ghostbur is very very good at calming Dream down though :’)

Ghostbur is a librarian :D He loves his job so so much oh my gosh. He never wants to do anything else for a living; he simply loves being a librarian That Much. It’s quiet and there’s So many books and he loves getting to chat with the people who check books out and!! He loves his job!!

Eret is also a librarian :) He and Ghostbur work together! Eret’s not a main character in this story by any means, he’ll only show up a little bit, but he’s friendly & nice, and he also enjoys his job! He and Ghostbur get along quite well :)

[bonus answer because I just remembered it and I think you’ll really like it] Dream & Ghostbur ran away from home as teenagers (for complicated reasons) and while they were trying to figure things out, they ended up going into a church because it was cold outside and they didn’t exactly have anywhere else to go to for shelter. When they walked inside, there was a guy on the stage playing “Blown Away” on an acoustic guitar, singing for the congregation. Ghostbur had never really done church or religion at all before, and he didn’t think about it much, but he really really liked hearing that song. He was disappointed when Dream decided to leave, because he wanted to stay inside and hear that song play over and over and over again.

What makes you most excited about this fic?

Oooh… hm. Honestly… kinda all of it? It’s been a really long time since I’ve been this excited about a fic of mine. I’m pretty sure the last time I got this excited & happy was last September! It was also for a Ghostbur modern AU lol

But yeah, I’m pretty excited about this whole AU :D The characters have been super fun to work with, I’m loving their backstories, I think the plot is compelling, and GHOSTBUR!!! Ghostbur in general!!!
