Scorpio suns just feel like family! They can be nice/generous to a fault. Their sun falls in my 5th/6th house cusp and that’s funny because I see them as fiery and dramatic yet they’re also very caring and protective so it’s a big yes. 🙌🏽

Aquarius suns are literally the coolest! I can’t express how much I love you guys!! Literally always down for anything and hella open minded and I love that! They have this way of making others feel included in stuff even if they’re not that close with the person.

Capricorn suns where do I start? Their generosity is often overlooked. They’re the types to give without asking for anything in return. They’re also very caring even if it doesn’t show. These people tend to have big hearts and are also no bullsh!t type people.

Gemini suns.. I always tend to feel a fast connection with these people (their sun falls in my 12th/1st house cusp). Most of them are sweet and understanding, have bright ideas and hilarious laughters! I feel like I can talk to them about anything & everything because they’ll understand and then add onto it lol.

Cancer suns are so energetic and child-like and I’m so here for it!! Their sun falls in my 1st/2nd house & I know some other Cancer suns who are very chill and strive for stability above anything. They’re also very fun to be around and are great listeners!!

Leo suns are so nice!! Yes they might be brutally honest when calling you out but they’ll also look out for you and stick up for you no matter what! I love how unapologetically upfront they are! I don’t even know where to begin bc I kinda have heaps (be ready this is going to be the longest dam post ever) but I’ll just tell you about Ella Jake Gabe Alby DeeDee and Lia (fuck it’s a lot 😭)

Sooooooo Ella and Jake are siblings (they have an older sister Caroline but she is like off at collage and not much of a main character, and yes I have a whole world built for them with kinda plot and scenes and stuff) so Ella is the youngest and Jake is the middle and Caroline the eldest.

Ella is kinda my main character (or Jake) she is 17, full name Elizabeth Miller, she loves ankle long flower patterned skirts and she has pretty long light brown hair that is dead straight, no matter how much she has tried to curl it, she has brown eyes and it’s BEST FREINDS with DeeDee, they are also neighbors to eachother bc that’s goals, and she is like love interest/dating Gabe.

Jake (literally fav) is 19, so two years older than Ella, full name Jacob Miller, love interest with Alby 🤭 my fav ship, is bisexual, BESTIES with Lia, but in a trio with Gabe so Gabe is still best friends with him, he is VERY grunge, all he wears is band t-shirts and baggy jeans, his bedroom walls are PLASTERED with posters of all his favourite grunge bands and his room is also a mess with clothes all over the floor because he’s so relatable like that, he LOVES rings and always wear a bunch, he had brown hair (more darker/brunette than Ella’s) which is just messy on top of his head, i know what his hair looks like I promise I just don’t know the name of hair cut 😭, he has a red electric guitar that he LOVES, he’s very good at guitar, and he plays it in a little small band that he does with Gabe and Alby and Lia for fun, they do it in Jake and Ella’s basement at their house.

Gabe (as we know, Ella’s love interest) full name Gabe Turner, he’s 19, he has black hair, similar messy style to Jake’s, best freinds with Jake and Lia, he loves skateboarding, secretly loves romance movies, introverted, also kinda grunge like Jake but dresses in more black, has those dimple peircings if yk the ones I mean, I can’t think of anything to say (trust me I have a million notes written down on him but I’m forgetting rn) in love head over heels with Ella, plays bass guitar in the band with Jake Lia and Alby, and also sings.

Alby (I love him sm) full name Albert Sanders, he’s 18, he gay, he hates that his name is Albert so everyone calls him Alby, he has sandy blonde hair that’s pretty curly (Jakes and gabes are more wavy), he plays the drums in their band, he is kinda quiet and shy around other people but when it’s just his freinds he has a lot of energy, LOVE INTEREST WITH JAKE (my fav shipppp), he has a pet cat (cuz he def a cat person) who he lovessssss I think it’s maybe a ginger cat or one of the black and white and red ones if yk what I mean, he is adopted and when he was a kid he was in foster care and stuff.

DeeDee, full name Diana Emani, DeeDee is a nickname, is 17, love interest with Lia (another fav ship 🤭) she has been best friends with Ella since primary school, she is black and has long braids that she likes to put beads in sometimes, she loves nature so much, is kind of cottage core, also loves the long flowing skirts that Ella does, has a bedroom window facing Ella’s, she LOVES animals, has literally a millions pets, and also lots of potted plants in her room (real ones, because she is surprisingly good at keeping them alive, to everyone else’s amazement), is pansexual.

Lia (MY OTHER FAV) full name Ophelia Beckett, because I love love the name Ophelia, her hair is ALWAYS changing, she dies it crazy colours, and has had it cut in heaps of different ways, I generally imagine her with a wolf cut thought, she loves doing the coolest eyeliner ever, she also plays electric guitar in the band, is SUPER best freind with Jake (like almost prongsfoot close I’m talking), she is lesbian and love interest with DeeDee, she loves dressing very grunge/emo idk how to explain the style but like black clothes and fishnet stockings or sleeves and LOTS of jewlery, she has very strict parents and is always sneaking out of home.

The whole freind group loves to hang out at the skate park, even when Gabe isn’t skating.

Well, I winded up taking so long to answer these asks I got that I totally finished getting through ultrakill with my friends in the meantime! So I can give you some properly fleshed out thoughts now!

Each layer had so much character to it.... I believe the environment designs are what stick out to me most, honestly. It was really something to behold. Personal favorites had to be clair de lune, bridgeburner (from how awe inspiring the first look at the city below was), LITERALLY THE ENTIRE WRATH LAYER WOW BY FAR MY FAVE THING IN THE WHOLE GAME (specifically waves of the starless sea), and no sound no memory. Does the earthmover in itself count as environmental design considering it's whole body is a stage? I guess. Giant weapon dog horse thing. Love that guy. And the lore that went with it is crazy

Something Wicked is fucking AWESOME. I actually had a lot of difficulty seeing it on my screen when I was in call with my friends (the contrast on my computer is pretty bad, so it's always difficult for me to see anything that's even a little bit dark) but 1) the vibes were crazy anyway, 2) I watched it after the fact on my phone and could see it a lot better; it's the coolest thing ever to me that something which looks so unthreatening can fill you with sm genuine terror, and 3) me and my friends found a lethal company mod that added it as a monster and we've been using it ever since, it rocks. I generally loved all the bonus levels that deviated from the format like something wicked did, the fishing level and the puzzle level especially

Very brief rundown on enemies: I have the most beef with malicious face as do a majority of my friends fuck that guy (SIDE NOTE DID YOU KNOW IT HAS LEGS), I felt a little robbed that cerberus wasn't an actual dog, drones I don't like but I couldn't tell you why, mindflayers 🥰🥰🥰, V2 is one of my ultimate faves, and the design approach to the minotaur was super unique

Last main note I want gabriel Badly but I feel like this is something every ultrakill fan must experience so I don't feel special for it

I have more to say on the topic if you were to ask specifics, but this hits everything notable about my ultrakill experience atm I'd say. Can't wait for it to be fully finished!!!

Your talk about museums and ancient artifacts being sold and bought by rich people as trophies made remember why I hate the Spanish conquerors with a fervent passion.

Motherfuckers they didn’t only stole from the Incas, but also tried so FUCKING HARD to extinguish their medicinal knowledge, cuisine, beliefs, break and destroy a lot of ancient infrastructure, be called “the discoverers of rich lands” or some shit like that.

Only to be looked back as the BIGGEST idiots in all history, in my opinion.

You know how much medicinal knowledge could’ve been useful around those times?! I’m so salty about it, yeah some of the medicines were passed down thankfully, like a type of penicillin made by a specific fermented potato (fermented in a VERY SPECIFIC WAY) that is consumed (which smells like shit btw ever smelled a rotten potato?!) as a purée for stomach ulcers and infections.

I can’t imagine all the advancements that would’ve been made if instead of conquering they preserved it. Some things maybe would’ve been faster.

And the recent diasomnia chapters just made me want blood again.

But the, idk if called it happy, thing is that they never reached Machu Picchu. The secret was kept through generations until they couldn’t anymore in the beginning of the last century.

Machu Picchu is still in danger due to sightseers. Unfortunately, tourists like to mess with the site, which erodes it due to the large amount of visitors on a daily basis. it's not officially in danger until the UNESCO says so though, but it's a reoccurring issue that tourists disrespect historical sites, especially now. Many of them are influencers or aspiring influencers trying to get that "unique" shot for their socials, but either don't realize or care about the disrespect that are giving to the historical site. This isn't even unique to ancient American sites, but also European, Asian, and Middle Eastern sites.

That's not even speaking about ancient Judaic (i think that's the word) religious sites being bombed in Palestine rn. The number of important historical sites being destroyed because of wars is innumerable and devastating.

But you're correct that there are a good deal of ancient knowledge that were lost due to colonization. Pre-Colombian Mesoamericans were incredibly advanced for their time and could compare with early 1900s society, maybe. They had advanced irrigation systems for agriculture, as well as aqueducts for their version of plumbing. They also had a fairly advanced mathematical system and astronomy knowledge. There's also some evidence that suggests some of the pre-Colombian peoples traveled the Atlantic and made contact with I believe Egypt specifically, though from what I'm aware it's all theoretical and not completely confirmed quite yet.

They also had a very complicated and fascinating religious systems in place for the various tribes, which is super cool to me. Personally think one of the coolest finds are the Incan terraces and irrigation for agriculture. And the other, which is a personal interest, is the fact that the Tenochtitlan (now modern day Mexico City) was nearly built on a lake! Its main city was built on a lake in Lake Texcoco, but they used chinampas, which are man-made islands, for mainly agriculture, but evidence shows that they may have built bigger ones for homes and shops! They were connected through four main bridges, which allowed for travel but also built around with the aqueducts in mind as well. Mexico City was built right on top of it, but lately it's been sinking further into the lake, most likely due to the weight of two cities and the growing population causing it to fall under pressure. Anyways I'll shut up now but super cool.

That depends! If you mean well decorated as in how much decoration, yes, lots! Well as in nice/aesthetic um? I like it, but I know my maximalist style can be a Lot for some people LMAO. I have posters and D&D art everywhere, a rainbow carpet, Christmas lights strung through my bookshelf, knick knacks everywhere, etc.

Oh yes absolutely. Or at least a signature formula: graphic t-shirt under matching button up, jeans or shorts, maybe a cap or beanie. Here’s my favorite button up and jeans just for sillies :3

93: favorite game?

In an every context possible way (board game vs video game vs ttrpg), D&D, hands fucking down. But in terms of video games, I adore the Mass Effect series. No other video game series has made me cry quite so much. Baldur’s Gate 3 is a close second, though I am still in Act 3.

ABSOLUTELY. In fact, why don’t I tag those of them that exist here as an excuse to be a huge fucking sap about it and so you all can go follow them. (Uh. This gets long, so adding a read more thing. I get sappy after 10 pm oopsies)

While I am no longer in the fandom that brought us all together (nor are most of them), I do have to thank that fandom for being what put us all in one place. One beta reading comment left on a fic inspired me to finally pick up D&D again after years of failed campaigns—and we’ve been going strong near a year and a half now. This D&D group is fucking everything to me. These people have been with my through the lowest points of my life and I owe everything to them. Not only are they all talented in art, writing, poetry, and the many things they do, but they are all absolutely incredible people and the best friends I ever could have asked for. One little comment genuinely changed my life.

@daughterofdrearburh is one of the coolest people in the world. She’s smart as a whip, hilarious as fuck, and one of the kindest hearts I’ve ever met. If you get the chance, you should bug her about her novel (I am the number one Starblossom fan) and about her horse, Ginger, who she has made incredible strides with. I admire her a lot. Also about her homebrew/framkensteined together TTRPG she’s running, because it’s a fucking blast!!

@ninthhousesteel was actually the first of the gang that I was mutuals with!! She’s also incredibly funny (probably the most hilarious person I know, seriously they pop out of fucking nowhere with one liners that’ll leave you in stitches). She’s so fucking smart and doing incredible things in engineering (I may not understand it, but I know they’re going to do great things), as well as being a great artist and wonderful writer. Also? Incredible taste in music, frankly. Another thing to bug them about!

@haaawaiianshirt is like. I don’t even know where to start. The best personality ever. She’s funny, outgoing, unbelievably sweet, with just the right amount of bite! She’s like summertime personified, just warm and the best to be around. You can’t help but smile. Add onto that the most delicious art style and an incredible talent for so many different crafts (ask her about crochet beast!!). They’re going to be famous one day for being behind the set design of all your favorite theme parks and theme park rides.

@candle-lion is so COOL. I genuinely look up to her so so so much. Again with the super funny (literally can’t breathe with this group, you will be in stitches). One of the most talented writers I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading, an incredible DM, master at roleplay and making characters you can’t help but fall in love with, as a player or a DM. I admire everything she does in teaching—she is exactly the kind of teacher that our world is in desperate need of. She’s going to change lives, I just know it.

@lavenderlevetan where Emmie is summertime, Eve is autumn. She’s so unbelievably chill, a breath of fresh air to be around, a warm mug of tea of a person, if you catch my drift. She’s so sweet and so smart and sooo wonderful to hang out with, with possibly the most lovely laugh ever. Her writing is immaculate, and god I just LOVE the way she builds characters. You can’t help but be sucked into their inner workings. And yet another incredible artist!!

@suwunnysideup the master storyteller. I have never met someone with such a skill for weaving together stories and characters in such a beautiful web that you can’t help but be starstruck. Seriously, the world building is insane and so in depth, you can see how much they really care. They’re a fucking riot and my best fucking friend. Once again, another insanely talented artist, I need to shake their art like a chew toy. Ask them about carpe diem :3

And last but not least, while not an active PC in our main campaign, the group would not be complete without @avocadosockz . Our resident meme maker, comedian, character arc instigator, beloved guest star NPC, and best audience in the world—while also joining our side campaign as the funniest possible character choice in the world (ask her about Sadie!). Another amazingly supportive person who I appreciate with all of my heart, I love bouncing evil ideas off of her in DMs to enact upon the rest of the party. Excited for our next little scheme >:3

More people I met through fandom! I haven’t talked to them as much in recent months, which I’m terribly guilty about, they are all incredible people. @lionydoorin is a wonderful artist and a super sweet person, someone you can always rely on. They’re going to med school and I know they’re going to be fucking amazing in their field. @idyllghost is another rad artist and one of my first really good friends here in Tumblr! He’s so sweet, so funny, and so good at poetry and writing too. An artistic genius in so many ways.

@whiteredrose13 is possibly my oldest internet friend. I think we’re going on?? 5+ years now? Which isn’t much compared to some of y’all, but it’s a lot to me. Rose is one of the kindest, most supportive people in the entire world. She’s so unbelievably patient, listening to me ramble on and on about my D&D campaign and my unfinished writings. Speaking of, because I’m literally surrounded by talent, they are yet another insanely wonderful artist AND writer, with an incredible world and the most lovable OCs ever. Gabe and Ana and their entire family will always live rent free in my brain 🫶

And a special shout-out to the one irl friend who has stuck by me through everything 🫶 Elaina is so kind, so funny, so fucking smart, the best taste in music, one of my favorite people to talk for hours with. longer chapter ones 9/10 times!! there are some ideas i have that can only be oneshots but most of my ideas i end up thinking too much abt and can’t fit it into one thing :) hey cupids planned chapter length doubled bc of a single change i made after like chapter 3 😭

i wish i liked shorter ones tho bc i feel like i could write so much more. there’s some mental block i get when working on a series to make it consistent w the other chapters and on par with the quality which makes it hard to start working

LMAO fr answer: i have two kinds of blocks and two ways to combat it

1- i cant think of anything to write: i random number generator my wips doc that has like 50+ ideas and force myself to write for 5 minutes straight. i’m allowed to stop if i want after the 5 but then i’m in a groove and ideas start to flow

2- i know what i want to write but can’t make myself start: force myself to change the plot i’m working with. most of the time i get caught up in an idea and like it but am subconsciously too nervous to tackle it, so by forcing myself to abandon it completely i start thinking abt it in a new way and find myself getting excited abt writing again

all of these are nice in theory but they require the mental fortitude to start them, which is what i’m having a hard time with rn lol. we’re coming back soon though i miss stc

i used to worry a lot abt ooc but i’ve moved past that i think, so it’s really just trying to not let expectations get to me. it’s not a fan fiction thing it’s a writing thing in general. once i start i can’t stop it’s just that one hurdle i can never get over
