Love the thought of Leo just casually being well traveled to absurd degrees. Like one day they’re facing their new Big Bad of the year and like, Draxum or whoever says that the key to their fight is located somewhere in, like, Latvia or some place, but no one knows where to start.

Then Leo’s like “oh I know a place” and when asked how the heck he could know of one it smash cuts to Leo falling through the ceiling of said place due to a portal mishap.

Also love the idea of Leo, being as accidentally (and then later, purposefully) well traveled as he is, sometimes taking his family on outings to different places all over, maybe to some new Yokai spots he found along the way.

In these places, Leo 100% lets his bros get scammed by tourist traps.

Also I have to include this somewhere—it’s my civil duty as a Puzzle enjoyer. Behold the really poorly rushed Procreate photo mashup edits of Puzzles that I snuck into animation as a fun goofy Easteregg detail lol. Same thing with the SMG3 plushie in the corner—although he was included solely because I noticed other people had him in their MAP parts. So I wanted to keep a little continuity going to connect all parts together. We love sillies here <3

guys I can’t tell if I’m stupid for not having pieced this together before now but IS THE LAB IN THE VENOM 3 TRAILER AREA 51???

because 1) it’s famous for being the place where the government is supposedly keeping aliens

2) the base totally looks like it’s in the middle of the desert

3) it explains why Eddie and Venom would have ended up in the middle of the desert and also Vegas— if they escaped Area 51, Vegas is like… the closest big city I think. still doesn’t explain why Mrs. Chen would be there but it makes more sense than a Dan/Annie wedding being the reason imo

4) Eddie made a comment in Venom 2 about getting locked away in Area 51. It was probably just trying to capitalize on the Area 51 memes and meant to be a joke but like,,, it would make sense

this delights something primal in me that I’m fairly sure started with that scene in Dragon Heart where Draco casually lights Bowen’s fire with a cheeky little snort of fire breath.

there are few things I love more than mundane uses for superpowers/magic. Homelander acting like your own personal blowtorch/lighter is so goddamn endearing. not to mention how he could follow you around while you vacuum and lift all the furniture. washing the car? he’ll pick it up and spin it.

but coming back to the crème brûlée, the mental image of him being your little helper in the kitchen is SO sweet and healing. who needs a stand mixer when you have Homelander and a whisk? congratulations on the stiffest peaks known to man.

now the only trick is to stop him from turning your whipped cream into butter.

I’ve gone on and on about how Leo wants to be who Splinter finds is the ideal person (which just so happens to be Splinter’s ideal version of himself) but I have yet to really touch upon how Donnie is the one who most directly parallels Splinter himself to an honestly shocking degree, Raph’s taking from Splinter’s teachings and parenting has resulted in an unhealthy mixup in the different dynamics of a family versus a team, and Mikey is the one who is simultaneously the most focused on family and the most intrinsically himself which both leads to his better grasp of mystics and honestly what just might be the healthiest dynamic with Splinter.

Y’know something weird I’ve noticed? I’m way more confident writing DP x DC stuff than I am writing just DC stuff. I think it’s because the DP x DC fandom doesn’t really expect writers to have as much knowledge of both, so I don’t feel the same “can’t make any mistakes” feeling I get when I try to write DC fics. There’s just so much complex lore in the DC universe, from the comics to the shows, and a lot of it is different depending on what time period the stuff you’re reading/watching is from. I’ve never finished or even posted any DC stuff I’ve done cause I’m always worried that the lore I’ve learned from the shows and the lore I’ve learned from the comics will contradict each other or something, and I’ll get called out on it. There isn’t that same pressure when I’m writing for a subsection of the fandom that’s totally fine with inconsistencies and character rewrites

yeah, it’s just a hiatus! i’ll be back soon :) i honestly didn’t realize how burnt out i was until i took a step back — i’d been writing tpg nonstop for over two and a half years, and it started taking its toll on me. but once i finish up this next thing i’m working on, i’m gonna ease myself back into it and get back into posting soon!! thank you so much for your patience with me <3333
