Helga immediately slides her right foot backwards backwards and knifes her body; A defensive stance from years of martial arts training.

I jump in front of her, arms held out at my sides as if I could somehow shield her from any oncoming danger. Not that I could (I mean, I’m tiny compared to the two of them). Rourke could probably punt me into next week if he wanted to (not that Helga would let him but still…).

“Okay, everybody chill the hell out!” I snapped, looking between Rourke and Helga. The red crystal in my chest flashes a bright, scarlet red; A warning of danger. I can feel the energy spreading through my body, branching out in red glowing tendrils— Like molten magma spreading through cracks in the earth. I still haven’t gotten used to the feeling of it. It’s like trying to keep an enormous leashed dog from lashing out at a cat… And I’m the idiot that’s quickly running out of rope.

I know that if I don’t calm down now that things could get very bad very quickly. Except, my mind is in a panic. I don’t want them to fight or hurt each other but every instinct in me is screaming to protect my friend. How can I help? How do I fix this?!

A pair of strong yet slender arms wrap around me, pinning my hands to my sides. Yet, simultaneously they’re wrapping me in a tight, protective embrace.

“Take it easy,” Helga murmurs, gently, almost reminding me of my late mother or even an older sister. “It’s all right.”

I don’t realize I’m hyperventilating until I feel the burning in my lungs. I force myself to breathe in and out. In and out. I imagine my heartbeat slowing and the burning in my veins eventually subsides along with the glow. The crystal in my body calming down just enough so that I can reign its power back in.

My legs crumble under me, all their strength having been sapped away. Helga gently lowers me to my knees and places her hands protectively on my shoulders. She doesn’t move from my side— Almost as though she’s afraid I’ll turn to dust if she scoots even an inch away from me.

Fucking hell… Anxiety and magic really don’t mix… Neither does a sentient crystal with the human body but hell, it’s all I’ve got to keep me alive at this point!

“Please, just hear us out?” I plead to Rourke, my voice coming out hoarse as I stammer. “Helga’s the one who told me about Milo. If it wasn’t for her… Well, a lot of things wouldn’t have happened good and bad! And, shit I’m bad at negotiating! Just… Listen… Please?”

Helga takes a deep breath, looks Rourke straight in the eyes, her expression remorseful. “…I’m sorry…For everything I put you and Milo through! I know words won’t make up for what I’ve done but I want you to know I’ll do anything to make it right!”

I barely catch their reactions. Their faces are blurry in my eyes. Whispering voices resound in my ears and flashes of memory flicker before my vision.

Shit, it’s happening again… God-damned magic sickness… This happened almost every time I used the crystal; A huge outburst of energy followed by debilitating sickness.

I pat Helga’s arm with my palm, nausea draining all the color from my face. “Uh, Helga? I need to—“

My body lurches forward as I gag violently. Helga releases me immediately, just in time for me to lunge for the bathroom and puke into the toilet. My ears are ringing and my throat’s on fire but on the upside at least my stomach’s empty.

I press my head against the cold bowl, sweat dripping down my burning forehead.

“Fucking Lemurians…” I grumble, bitterly.

(meanwhile, in the living room)

Helga’s heart ached. She hadn’t intended to find Lilia back then. In fact, she’d hoped she’d never see her again. She looked so much like Jenkins save for her facial structure and the blonde highlights in her golden brown hair. She prayed that Milo and Rourke didn’t see the familial resemblance… Lilia didn’t know the truth and Helga preferred to keep it that way.

After all, how was Helga supposed to explain to her own daughter that she’d abandoned her? How was she supposed to explain why she had to kill Lilia’s father to protect them both? More-so, how could she tell her how sorry she was?! How ashamed she felt that she hadn’t been strong enough to protect her?!

Tears threatened to spill down her face yet again but she kept them back. She shook the thoughts free from her head.

Fuck it, Helga thought. I’ll figure it out later… Right now I have to fix this. Helga’s face hardened with resolve and she met Rourke’s gaze. “Look you can do whatever you want to me but, please… At least wait until my daughter’s asleep…”

She paused to glance towards Lilia who was still leaning against the toilet. “And… Don’t tell her, either… She can’t ever know the truth…”

//Dear god that was longer than I intended! Also, brain, what the actual fuck?! Definitely wasn’t what I planned but I kinda like it… Also Rourke hissing had me rotfl! 🤣//

"Let's go home."

It's Milo outside, shivering and soaking wet, and looking absolutely miserable, like the whole world has taken turns kicking him, and then doing it againonce he's down. Like he might cry if he isn't already doing so. His glasses are set crooked, so he probably is barely able to see, and thus, he probably doesn't know where he is.

“Oh, my god, Milo!”

I sprint outside so quickly that I don’t even bother putting on my boots. All I’ve got in hand is an umbrella which I struggle to open as I shuffle down the street.

“Milo!” I call out as I run up to him, managing to open the umbrella just in time.

I raise the umbrella up above his head, shielding him from the rain. I have to stand on my tiptoes as I reach up and remove his glasses. I haphazardly use the hem of my shirt to clean off his glasses before gently placing them back on his face. I get how hard it is to see with water-logged glasses as I wear glasses, myself. I don’t even think twice before I grab Milo’s shaking hand.

“Let’s go home.” I murmur, softly as I pull him towards my apartment building, keeping the umbrella above our heads. I squeeze his hand gently for good measure. I know how it feels to be alone and miserable. Milo’s such a sweet, kind-hearted soul and even though I can’t carry his problems for him, I can damn well make them lighter! He would have done the same for me, after all.

I guide him up the stairs and into my apartment building. It’s small for an apartment in Washington DC in the early 1900’s but I do my best to make it feel welcoming. The ivory walls are tinted amber from the lamp-light and the crackling fireplace gives off much needed warmth.

I pull Milo into the bathroom and gesture for him to sit on the edge of the tub.

“I’ll be right back.” I say as I sprint into my bedroom where I rummage through the dresser until I find what I’m looking for: A cozy pair of pajamas, a big, fluffy towel and a pair of socks that an ex of mine forgot to reclaim after we broke up. They’re big enough that they should fit him. I hurry back to the bathroom and gently place the clothes and towel on the edge of the sink.

“These might be a little big on you but they’re better than nothing.” I comment before turning back to him, looking him in the eyes.

I reach out and gently squeeze his shoulder— A simple gesture to reassure him that I’m there for him and that he’s not alone, anymore.

“Take a bath to warm yourself up.” I instruct. “You can put your wet clothes in the sink and I’ll hang them up to dry. Don’t worry about the water, I can clean it up later. There’s some bubble bath here if you like scented things and a rubber ducky to keep you company. His name is George. Feel free to take as much time as you need, okay? When you’re done, dry off and put on these pajamas. Then meet me in the living room. I’ll make us some hot chocolate with extra marshmallows!”

I give him a brief but tight hug. “You don’t have to tell me what happened if you don’t want to but please know that I’m here for you if you need me. If you need to cry then cry, I won’t judge. If you need to vent to me, I’ll listen. As for advice, well, I’m a shitty advice-giver but I’ll do the best I can to help out. Just do whatever you need to do to feel better, okay?”

I stand up and walk towards the door. “I’ll give you some privacy. Call me if you need anything, okay?”

I give him one last smile before shutting the door behind me. I crack my knuckles.

“Okay, time to make some hot chocolate and chicken noodle soup!” I announce to the empty air.

Milo can take all the time he needs to recover. As long as he’s happy and doesn’t catch a cold, I’ll do whatever it takes to help him out. And if I find out who made him cry I’m calling my neighbor, Helga Sinclair, to go kick their asses.

Me without You (Part 2)

Alrighty y'all, it's finally here. Time for Part 2 of Me without You! Though they didn't know it, the discord server helped choose the ending for this one.

It’s been three days since Zhenya left, and Jackson had never felt so lost. Normally at the end of a season, they’d take a breather for a couple days, just chill around the house. Sometimes they’d even go on a road trip. Jackson tended to get inside his head a bit so it was better to be out of the house.

He hadn’t gotten much sleep after his conversation with Zhenya the night before. There was around a 7 hour time difference so they tried to keep the conversations to decent times to not mess up sleep patterns too much, but Zhenya had plans with family the entire day, planning to slowly begin the process of coming out. Instead of his normal afternoon call time, Zhenya called him as soon as he got up which meant Jackson didn’t get to sleep until around 1am.

Waking up the following morning was a bit rough, his warm bed still calling his name as he dragged himself to the kitchen for coffee. Jackson didn’t want to stay in bed though. Zhenya wasn’t there, so what was the point?

He wasn’t the only one who was not taking Zhenya’s absence well. The cats were confused about their missing dad as well. Loki had climbed up on top of the fridge, waiting for Zhenya to take him down but he never came. Jackson had to get a chair so he could reach the giant cat and help him down. Pumpkin had taken to sleeping on the Russian man’s pillow, and Milo tended to look for him in the shower. Milo and Pumpkin were still sprawled on Zhenya’s side of the bed when he left but Loki trailed after him.

Jackson went to pull down his coffee mug, reaching for Zhenya’s as well before he realized it wasn’t needed. Damn.. maybe this was going to be harder than expected. Setting the Stormtrooper mug back in the cabinet, he filled the cats’ bowls as the coffee brewed. He was even more off-kilter than usual today, anxious for Zhenya who would be going through the difficult steps of coming out to his parents. Jackson remembers how nervous he was when he told his parents, but he was lucky. He had Zhenya next to him.

Maybe he should just fly to Russia.. Just to be safe. What if he needed him? No.. Zhenya said he had to do this by himself. This had been a frequent argument he had with himself since the moment he left the airport.

Today, he was getting out of the house. Smitty had called, asking him if he wanted to come out with him and his kids. He was taking the three to the zoo so Allison could get some rest, and asked if Jackson minded being an extra pair of hands. Eager to get out of the house and see the little munchkins he had very quickly come to love, Jackson said yes.

To be honest, he was pretty sure Zhenya had told Smitty to keep an eye on him.

After a quick shower, Jackson pulled on Zhenya’s hoodie from when he played for the Flames over one of his t-shirts. It was one of Zhenya’s favorite hoodies, worn and soft in all the right places. It was also Jackson’s favorite to steal. He loved that it was big on him and just felt like Zhenya was wrapped all around him.

As he pulled his shoes on, the doorbell went off. His eyebrows furrowed as he glanced up at the door. He wasn’t expecting anyone. When he opened the door, Brady was standing there.

“Hey, man. Thought I’d just pick you up since you’re on the way.” He said with a smile, pulling Jackson in for a hug.

Jackson couldn’t help but lean into the hug, the lack of human interaction obviously getting to him. “Sounds like a plan to me. Thanks.” He grabbed his wallet and keys after pulling away, making sure his phone was tucked into his pockets.

Brady led the way to his car, climbing in the driver's seat, “I appreciate you coming with me. Don’t know that I'd be able to handle all three of these hooligans by myself at the zoo.” He said, glancing back at his kids with a grin.

A chorus of “Uncle Nado!!” came from the backseat, Brady’s youngest cheering from her carseat in the middle. Olivia was born not long after the 2020 season, and was coming up on two years.

“Hello, tiny gremlins!” Jackson said with a laugh, pulling on his seatbelt as Brady started towards the Gryffindor Zoo.

The kids were already bouncing in their seats, rambling over each other as they talked about all the animals they were going to see. Max was excited for the aquarium while Noah just wanted to see the Lions, of course. Olivia’s favorites were the penguins.

“Allison told me they’re allowed one plushy per kid this time.” Brady said with a huff. Jackson couldn’t help but laugh at his friend. Last time they had gone to the zoo, their entire van was filled with plushies. Brady had tried to blame Jackson, and while he had bought them all one or two, Brady was the main culprit.

Getting everyone out of the car was an adventure all its own. They had to bring the double stroller because Olivia spent most of the time in there, as she still got tired easily and while Noah said he was going to walk the whole time like his big brother Max, he usually ended up climbing in the stroller once or twice. Little legs could only carry you so far.

The lions were right in the front when they got in, Noah running as fast as he could to the railing of the exhibit, “Dad, Uncle Nado, Look! They’re just like you!” He said, his face lighting up as he watched the lions prowling.

“Yeah, bud. That one even has long hair like Uncle Nado.” Brady said with a grin, pointing out the male lion with the full mane.

Jackson laughed, leaning on the railing next to them as he held Olivia’s hand, “You’re just mad ‘cause Allison won’t let you grow your hair out.” Brady shoved him, laughing as they carried on throughout the zoo.

They made their way into the aquarium, the kids running ahead a bit to see all the different fish with Jackson and Brady following at a more leisurely pace.

“So…” Brady said, glancing at him out of the corner of his eye.

Jackson let out a huff, “Here it comes…”

Letting out a chuckle, Brady elbowed him in the ribs, “Hey, don’t be a shit. I just wanted to ask how you were doing. It’s been a long couple months for you with your leg, and then with Zhenya being gone.. Just wanted to check.”

“I’m alright.. Leg doesn’t really bother me, been keeping up with my exercises from PT. And Zhenya.. I miss him. It’s only been three days but fuck I miss him.” Jackson replied, tugging on the sleeves of his hoodie as he watched the kids.

Brady squeezed his shoulder, his eyes flickering between his kids and Nado, “That’s normal, Jax. I’d say it would be abnormal if you didn’t miss him.”

A shriek from Olivia had both their heads whipping in her direction, but it seemed to be one of delight. Her face lit up as a turtle swam past the window again. Both men let out a quiet sigh of relief.

“I know it’s normal. I just- I just wish I could be there for him, y’know? It was hard enough for me to come out to my folks, and I knew they would be supportive. He doesn’t have that luxury, that knowing.” Jackson said with a sigh, his hand absentmindedly checking that his phone was in his pocket.

Brady let out a soft sigh as he nodded, “It sucks, it really does but no matter what happens, he knows he has you. He’s got the team. We’re all here for him.”

Jackson could only nod, a shaky breath falling from his lips as they reached the end of the aquarium. Olivia ran back to him as quickly as her little legs would take her, automatically reaching up to him. “Up? Up please?” She said, puppy dog eyes in full effect.

As if he could say no to that face. Jackson quickly swooped her up, setting her on his hip as they carried on. After a couple hours of walking around, they stopped at one of the restaurants to grab something to eat.

“We still have to see Liv’s penguins, Dad.” Noah pointed out as he ate a couple of his french fries, a map of the zoo in between himself and Max.

Brady was already nodding as he wiped up Olivia’s face, sauce from her pizza smeared across her chubby cheeks, “We’re not gonna miss the penguins.” Jackson couldn’t help the fond smile as he watched his friend with his kids. He always enjoyed watching their family dynamic, and just being with them. Normally Zhenya would be there too, throwing the boys over his shoulders and running around with them or letting Olivia play with his hair.

Damn, Jackson missed him.

And then, as if he knew Jackson’s phone went off with Zhenya’s ringtone. It was the Imperial March from Star Wars, and it had been his ringtone for as long as Jackson could remember. Brady shooed him off as soon as he heard the ringtone, reassuring Jackson that he could handle his own kids for a little bit.

Stepping out of the restaurant, Jackson quickly answered the phone, a smile spreading on his face, “Hey baby, I was just thinkin-”

His smile dropped as he was cut off by a sob from the other end of the line.

“Zhenya? Babe? What’s wrong? You gotta talk to me, baby, you’re scaring me.” Jackson pleaded, his heart feeling as though it was shattering at the sound of his boyfriend falling apart.

His breathing was ragged as Zhenya let out another sob before he finally was able to get it out: “T-They kick me out. M-My Mama and Papa, they kick me out.”

Intimidates students at first glance, but all of them agree that he’s actually one of the chillest professors on campus once they spend time in his classes

Always late to class

Which is one of the reasons that made the students realise he’s more on the vibey side

He doesn’t seem to have anything planned when he walks into class

Places bag onto the table, sits down, looks at everyone and pulls his phone out to play music while he teaches

He’ll ask them what they wanna learn before he actually even starts the lesson because he’s interested in what they think about the course

When he’s not in class, he’s usually seen with Youngjae and Mark

Avoids talking to BamBam and Yugyeom because he knows that they’re just gonna bully him the entire time

Always eats at on-campus café that has a pet daycare for anyone who needs to leave their pets while they go off and do work

He spends his time there petting the cats

The students who own the cats are in love with him because of that

They come in and it’s like

“Professor Jaebeom…?”

“Oh, is this your cat? She’s so cute”

They stand there and watch him play with their cats if they didn’t already love him before, they love him way more now

Teaches mathematics

Dresses in smart casual most of the time, but occasionally dresses fully casual

Has gotten mistaken as a student a couple of times

Has a picture of Milo and his family on his desk

Intimidates students because he’s more on the quiet side

But some of them have seen the way he acts around his friends, so they’re a little bit more comfortable around him

Cries at graduations

Always arrives to his classes on time except for that one time where he had to clean Milo’s crap off of his carpet

The students actually like him a lot

He’s very patient with them but has the tendency to get a bit more strict

Always has his plan ready by the time he’s in class

Understands that not everyone likes maths and that’s why he’s pretty patient

Takes his time with students who have a hard time understanding the formulas

Spends his time in-between classes with Jaebeom and Youngjae

Students will see them chilling at the skatepark or at the pet café

Youngjae’s usually just watching them do tricks whenever they’re skating

Is honestly one of the coolest professors on campus

Even the other professors agree that he’s cool as hell even if Mark won’t admit it

Usually seen talking with Youngjae about their precious fluffy, white, dog babies usually arguing about which dog is cuter

Only for Yugyeom to pop in with a picture of Dalkyum

They stare at him before completely ignoring him because the argument is about two tiny fluffy white dogs

Then BamBam and Jaebeom come in talking about cats instead and the two of them just give up

Rarely gets angry in class

Has once blown up only because someone was being rude to another student in his class

“Why don’t you do the whole class a favour and just stop being an asshole?”

The student shuts up immediately

He gives them a glare before moving on with the lesson

If he hears them starting shit again then he’ll lose it

“Dude, if you’re just gonna sit there and shit on someone then just leave”

That’s enough to get the student leaving the class out of embarrassment because no one had ever gotten Mark pissed off enough to tell them off twice in the same lesson

Afterwards he just pretends nothing happened and continues to teach the students like normal

“Who doesn’t understand this concept?”

Jinyoung

Teaches literature and philosophy

Campus DILF

Always dresses formally and has never gotten mistaken as a student before

Has one single picture of him and his friends from when they went to Italy together on his desk

Everyone’s scared of him

Who wouldn’t be?

His resting bitch face makes students scared of attending his lessons sometimes

Has made a few students cry just by looking at them when he was asking a question

Usually ends up staring at them like :| but can’t do anything about it because his face is just like that

He wasn’t even angry, he was just… looking at them

Spends most of his time with Jackson but also looks like he tries to escape him half of the time

Jackson calls him in the middle of a lesson and Jinyoung’s slightly concerned because he thinks something is wrong

“Jinyoung, did you look at the picture I sent you? It’s funny!”

“Professor Jackson, I’m in a class”

The students find their dynamic really cute

But it doesn’t make them less scared of Jinyoung

He walks around campus with so much confidence and ass

The entire campus fawns over him because they think he’s such a hottie

He usually denies the attention whenever any of his friends see a student being a bit friendlier towards him

The student in question literally bends over his desk and flirts with him

He kinda ignores their advances because he’s professional like that

Treats all of his students equally and knows all of their names

Pays extra attention towards the ones that struggle with the course because he knows how difficult it can be to have to fully understand either literature or philosophy

Has never yelled in class, but the students can tell when he is angry

Knows exactly who’s paying attention and who’s not because he’s really good at reading his students

Whenever someone disrespects him or the course he’s teaching, he turns around slowly, clicks the cap back onto the marker and gently places it onto the desk

“What poem are we currently analysing?”

“Uhm…”

If they get it wrong he gives them this very blank look that has them pissing themselves because they’re already halfway through discussing this one single poem and they’ve spent about two weeks on it

“Wrong. Get out.”

The student hesitates and Jinyoung lets out a heavy sigh which has them just scrambling straight out of the class

He picks his marker back up and turns to the giant whiteboard

“For those who don’t bother to even pay attention, we’ve been studying this poem for the past three lessons. Now, can someone tell me what I’ve covered in this lesson alone?”

Jackson

Teaches sports science

Is literally the most friendly professor on campus

Gets mistaken as a student all the time because 1. He’s always mingling around the students and 2. He barely ever dresses formally

Everyone on campus just absolutely loves him because he’s so easy to get along with

It makes his lessons very comfortable to be in

The students love how he jokes around all the time

Acts completely unhinged sometimes and likes to bother his friends in the middle of their lessons

Mostly barges into Jinyoung and Mark’s lessons because he knows the others will barely pay him any attention

“Mark hyung, I learned a new trick”

Straight up does a backflip in the middle of Mark’s classroom

“Professor Jackson, you’re so cool!”

The students love him so much

Basically, everyone on campus knows who he is and everyone just loves him because he’s everywhere at once

No one minds whenever Jackson shows up unannounced because he usually ends up leaving a mark on the students that has them more excited

Spends his time with Jinyoung where he’ll drag him to the gym

Will be sitting on his desk, cross-legged by the time students come into class

Will start his class with a joke just to get the students to feel more comfortable with engaging

Every student has had a crush on him at least once

Has had a few students walking into his classroom with gifts and trying to ask him out

But he just laughs and declines politely

During graduations, he gets a lot of ‘thank you’ gifts from his students

His heart just melts whenever he gets surprise cards on his desk from students basically telling him how much they enjoyed his class and him in general

Has the tendency to get distracted in the middle of a lesson but is also able to get back on track really quickly

Has gotten angry in class once

He’ll just glare at the student until they leave and when they’re gone, he checks up on his students to make sure they’re okay

Youngjae

Teaches performing arts

Dresses in smart casual

His smile and laugh lights up the whole classroom

He’s very gentle with his students and they all appreciate him for that

Has about four pictures of Coco on his desk

Will show everyone pictures of her in a cute dress he bought

Will also brag about how well trained Coco is

Sometimes arrives to class late because of Coco

Basically, he loves his daughter and he makes sure everyone knows that he loves her

He even brings her to graduation because some of his students end up growing attached to her

The students love how calm and chill he is

Tells a lot of dad jokes that everyone laughs at because they don’t want to make him feel sad or awkward

Will cheer up everyone and anyone

Stood up with an awkward laugh before gathering his stuff and bolting out of the classroom because he’s embarrassed

“Professor Youngjae, you didn’t have to run out of class like that…”

Pretends the whole incident didn’t happen

His class is really chill to attend

Youngjae just wants his students to feel comfortable in his class so he puts in the effort to do so

Tries to be as early as possible to have everything set up before his students show up

Loves all of his students

Of course there are a few bad seeds here and there, but Youngjae rarely ever gets mad

There were a couple times where he would scold them for a half-assed assignment or a disruption in class over something really dumb

But if someone really pissed him off, he wouldn’t blow up

Youngjae’s not as scary as his members but only because he’s more open with his softer side

So if he feels like someone in class is either being a disruption or is hurting someone, he doesn’t exactly blow up

He’s very calm about it

“I’m emailing the counsellor about this”

“I don’t care if you ‘don’t need a counsellor’. If you’re being an asshole, then you need a counsellor”

BamBam

Teaches fashion design

Is the most stylish person on campus

Wears all of his gold to class

Doesn’t have physical pictures of his cats on his desk because he has his cat family as his phone wallpaper

However, he does show off any awards he’s gotten from designing clothes for celebrities in his office

Has every eye on him when he’s on campus because of how well he dresses

Usually brings his students out for graduation dinners

Is known as the campus stylist

Students sometimes come to him for fashion advice even if they’re not in his class the college staff do this too

Spends his time with Yugyeom where they spend their time at each other’s office or just walking around campus together

Will be seen together whether its on campus or off campus

They walk around campus like they own it because they’re that powerful together

Students are intimidated by him at first because he looks so… expensive, but once they actually attend one of his classes they realise that he’s got a heart of gold and is super easy to talk to

His class is extremely chill

But can also be a bit chaotic sometimes

BamBam’s a really professional person that does very well with trying to make sure the people around him are comfortable

He allows a small bit of chaos to fill his classroom because it relieves any tension

And by chaos, it’s allowing Jackson to come in and basically teach the lesson with him

What’s a sports science professor supposed to know about fashion designing??

BamBam just sits back and watches while Jackson stares at the sketch of a model that’s being projected onto the screen

“So, uhh, you need to make sure they have… sleeves”

“And?”

“Uhh… the dress is ugly?”

“Anyone in the class can answer what the problem with this sketch is?”

A student raises their hand and BamBam nods to allow them to answer

“Sir, the colours aren’t that nice together. The green is too bright and just doesn’t go well with the pink at all”

“Correct”

BamBam’s style also helps when he’s conducting a lesson

Uses his own outfit as examples

“See this white blazer? This outfit wouldn’t be as eye-catching without something contrasting my black turtleneck ”

Does not tolerate assholes

Students aren’t exactly scared of him

Has a handful of admirers, but no one’s mustered up the courage to actually talk to him about it because the one time someone did

BamBam kinda

Laughed

Then he felt bad about it because he realised they weren’t joking

Because he’s so young, it's easy for students to relate to him

But when he gets mad at someone who starts to disrespect him, oof

BamBam isn’t scared of swearing in his class and neither is he scared of lashing out if he feels like he needs to

Especially if someone is intentionally disturbing the other students because they’re being an ass

“B-but, sir”

“Another word out of that mouth and you’re not seeing me for the rest of the semester”

Yugyeom

Teaches modeling

Has pictures of him and his friends and Dalkyum on his desk

Dresses casually most of the time but asks BamBam for good outfits for when he needs to show examples to his class

Bambam likes to style him up every once in awhile which helps Yugyeom a lot

Spends his time with BamBam the two of them make a very powerful duo

They’re only so powerful together because when you combine Yugyeom’s modeling with BamBam’s style, you get a pair of the hottest professors on campus

Is on time for his classes but sometimes is late because he spent the previous night having dance competitions with Jaebeom and Jinyoung

His class is actually really strict

Because modeling means having really good control of your entire body to be able to express what you’re trying to model for

Yugyeom takes it very seriously

Students are very intimidated by him

They know when to be playful with him and when not to and during class is when they have to be professional

Is really friendly with the students when he sees them around campus

Allows only Jinyoung into his class because he knows that the others would end up causing chaos if they’re together

Sometimes lets him model for his class

“Hyung, could you pose for my class, please?”

Is very professional with his friends if he’s conduction a lesson

But outside of it…

“Hyung, you looked like a vulture when you entered my class”

“I’m never modeling for your students ever again”

Is more on the quiet side like Jinyoung is

His looks can kill

He doesn’t have a resting bitch face like his hyung has, but he knows how to intimidate using his face

And he uses it against his students whenever he needs to

He’s also not that scared of going off either

But it’s more of the very quiet kind of angry

Will not hesitate to kick someone out if they’re not cooperating

“Get the fuck out of my class before I physically go over there and kick you out myself”

Which is why a lot of the students are very scared of him whenever he’s teaching

He doesn’t tolerate any kind of bullshittery and if he feels like you’re half-assing his class, then he’ll go off on you

But if he thinks that you’re just struggling to keep up, he’d be more than happy to help

Is very kind and very patient if someone needs extra help understanding something

Because he genuinely wants them to succeed

“Is there something here that you don’t understand? I can get one of the other students to help tutor you if you’d like”

it’s halloween month so I would love to know any and all of your dan/nate halloween headcanons (bonus points if milo’s there too) 🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡

you sent this on the first of october like the wonderful festive pumpkin pal that you are! but i have been sooo no thoughts head empty,,,, and i wanted to give this actual deliberation & thought before diving right in, so....

DAN, SPECIFICALLY:

ok. i think dan would have complicated & conflicting feelings re: halloween. we already know, canonically, that rufus was really into halloween, so this paints a pretty elaborate image in my head of halloween at the humphrey household - i bet it was a lot of fun! but then, of course: alison left. i think holidays in general become difficult for dan in the After, because they remind him of a time his family was truly happy that he cannot go back to.

so halloween is always bittersweet for dan, he'll carve all the pumpkins and get nate all the pumpkin flavoured stuff from all the cafes, and his wardrobe is so full of browns and sweaters that he's always ready for fall anyway, and he's happy! he is. but sometimes he'll remember another family he used to be part of that's all fractured & fragmented now, and he'll get a little sad. it happens less frequently over the years, but it never quite stops. (nate the ever observant always puts an arm around him and kisses his cheek, and says something silly to make dan smile. sometimes they talk about it; most of the time they don't. but nate is always there, quiet & non-judgemental, waiting for when/if dan needs him.)

NATE, SPECIFICALLY:

on the contrary........ halloween is natie's absolute FAVOURITE. much like the thanksgiving flashbacks we get in 1x09, i feel that halloween for nate, during his childhood, would involve being with blair & serena and all of them having the time of their lives. i think anne & howard would drop him off at the waldorfs, and eleanor would entrust blair & serena & nate to dorota's care. when they're younger they go trick or treating, and blair is very serious and very prim & proper and has on a perfect, sophisticated costume (she dresses as movie characters always) while serena's in a state of chaos, her costume for whatever she's dressing as (usually a witch or a ghoul or something like that) is a bit lopsided, the ribbons in her hair are coming out, her makeup is smudged (not deliberately!). nate, naturally, is sort of in between those two states - blair dolls him up and sets him to rights, serena takes his hand and runs around with him until his costume is a little wonky - by no means as much as hers, but definitely not in pristine, blair-approved state. blair just gives serena & nate a tired, Adult look, like they're toddlers and she's the babysitter (this doesn't change over the years, and this dynamic sets in remarkably quickly.)

once they're older, there's alcohol, there's halloween parties maybe, but nate still sticks with blair and serena, and they still hang out with him. halloween & the first of november are THEIR days, because they always do a sleepover on the 31st, and waking up together on the 1st of november is just something that makes the day Theirs, to nate. so unlike dan, for nate, he DID have that family feeling, and he had it consistently over the years, and he knows that it exists still.

DAN & NATE, FINALLY:

nate gets so excited for halloween! he goes full on into event-planning mode. he and jenny get really engrossed in designing costumes for the humphrey gang, and dan is like "who are you again?" and nate gives him the finger + an unamused look. halloween is a great bonding time for dan & jenny's gf, actually, because both of them get to watch their partner be an absolute dork over the holiday AND get really into designing (which is normal for jenny but not for nate, lol.) they just sit together and share drinks and act very, very cynical.

dan knows that halloween month is a special month for nate, and he's determined Not to be a grouch, so he goes out of the way trying to keep that cheer alive. he bakes sugar cookies that he ices to look like ghosts, he carves pumpkins, he does All The Things. but in a similar vein, nate knows that halloween month is a bit rough for his bf, so he is extra cuddly and patient, and goes out of his way to remind dan again and again that he loves him, that they're family now, etc.

i think halloween would also bring a lot of gender feels to dan, who gets this one holiday in which it's socially acceptable to wear makeup and doll himself up and dress up as whoever he wants to be. i think that'd give him a lot of euphoria, a lot of questioning, and a lot of anxiety, all at once, and i think nate would just be there like a stabilising force, because nate just loves dan that unconditionally, whoever dan is, even if dan is figuring that out - nate loves dan. i had more to say about This Point specifically but i am so tired, i kind of forgot what it was.

oh!!! vampire movies. all of them. nate and dan WOULD. they'd watch endless nights and they'd watch vampire porn and they'd definitely sleep together after THAT. nate would bite dan's neck and repeat some dialogue from the porno, and dan would laugh, but he would also be so, so turned on. (what! parts of this are literally canon!)

since dan also canonically reads anne rice (i wonder if he's one of the fic writers who got a cease & desist or whatever she was sending at them back in the day, that would be an interesting dan humphrey backstory) i think he'd read it aloud to natie. nate would just be lying there with his head on dan's lap, and dan would be sitting up reading aloud, one of his hands carding thru nate's hair.

at a blairena halloween party one time, dan and nate dress up as... *drum roll* each other. are you surprised? yeah, me neither. they keep making risque references to That Night At Yale, and blairena threaten to kick them out of the party (empty threats.)

MILO HUMPHREY MY BELOVED:

i wish i had more milo headcanons than just "jenny designs extremely elaborate costumes for milo, and nate goes trick or treating with him" but that's kind of it. milo would also end up wearing a LOT of orange-brown-maroons to school all through october (dan is like, nate, the kid is 5, is this the age to put your fall agenda onto him? nate is like, yes.) i think once he's older, milo would start getting these ridiculous mugs home in october - a pumpkin mug, a mug shaped like a skull, a mug shaped like a skeleton hand, etc. think mugs that look like THS thing that krysten ritter is holding:

dan looks at the collection of horror themed mugs they have with equal parts dismay and pride, and looks at nate like, yeah, you sure did raise this kid alongside me, didn't you? this is all YOUR influence, babe.

i also feel like milo would wear black nail polish ALLLL the time. he'd start during halloween and just never stop. i mean. if you're curious about this, i have two words for you: aunt jenny.

BONUS:

nate finds photos of a younger dan trick or treating - dan must be 7 or 8 in these photos, and he & vanessa are both dressed up as witches, with the hats and everything. dan is carrying a pumpkin shaped lantern, and marx is sitting in the lantern, peering out from inside it.

dan just smiles, and goes, "yeah, when i was a kid, all my costumes involved marx in some way." there's marx with angel wings (looking extremely disgruntled), there's marx with a green blanket around him ("he was a caterpillar that year," dan informs nate seriously), there's marx with a little bonnet on his head ("he hated that SO much," dan laughs).

the humphreys adopted marx when dan was around 7 - and given how unconcerned rufus is by lily's lack of pets - when he moves in with her, they do not discuss getting a cat or a dog or a bird or anything.. i'm guessing that maybe alison and dan went to pick marx out. i think dan and jenny have both seen marx grow from being a kitten to an adult cat, but because dan was older he remembers it slightly better. and dan and that cat were INSEPERABLE, to the extent wherein dan would often put marx in a pram and stroll him around everywhere. (there are halloween pictures of this, too.)

anyway, i'm just saying.

"he was my partner in crime," dan says fondly, looking at a picture of marx.

"i'm your partner in crime," nate corrects him.

"well, yeah," dan says. he raises an eyebrow. "but do you really need to compare yourself to my cat?"

A Little Bit Part 19

Pairing: Billie Dean Howard x female reader

A/N: Hello there! This one was a little more fun to write, so I hope you enjoy it. illuminated-blue’s gif goes really well with this one. ❤️

Warnings: annoying people, mention of death at the end, and wound cleaning.

You and Billie end up going to that one restaurant you’d visited when you were hopping around town trying to avoid people. You are glad to be going back because Milo had loved it and you were starving. You are seated quickly and both you and Billie laugh as Milo makes a friend from a nearby table. He plays with the lab while you and Billie get comfortable. You smile when she hands you one of the waters that the waiter brought a few minutes ago.

“Here, dear. Drink. Let me know if we need to leave, okay?”

You smile widely at Billie’s thoughtfulness before nodding in agreement. You take a sip of the water before looking around with a sigh of relief. It’s so nice to be out again, and being with Billie and Milo is just icing on the cake. You look back at Billie watching as she eyes you carefully before glancing at the menu. You know what you’re getting, but that doesn’t stop you from looking. Billie doesn’t bother with that yet. She is more concerned about you.

“Are you excited to go back to work?”

This question surprises you, and you look up suddenly before shrugging noncommittally. You are excited to go back to work because sitting around all day isn’t for you. Sure, you like being with Billie and Milo, but you became a vet for a reason. Despite loving Milo like he was your child, you really needed to see other animals too. You smile at the thought and nod in confirmation before taking another sip from the glass in front of you.

“I am! I miss the pets and keeping busy, but I have to admit it has been nice to spend time with you.”

Billie smiles at this before she glances down at the menu in front of her. She’s never been here before, but when you mentioned that you liked it she figured she’d give it a try. It was a little more out in the open than she liked to be, but so far no one was paying them much attention. She found it hard to pay attention to much of anything else when she was around you. She had really enjoyed these past few days having you and Milo stay with her.

“I’ve enjoyed it too, Y/N.”

You smile at this before glancing behind you to check on Milo who is still playing with the other dog. You laugh before shooting Billie a questioning look. You’re only half kidding with what you ask next because part of you is worried that you’ve overstayed your welcome.

“Are you sure you’re not sick of us yet?”

Billie smirks at the thought of growing sick of you and Milo. She had to admit that sometimes Milo could be a little high maintenance, but she enjoyed every moment she spent with the two of you. It seemed so easy with you, and although she knows the current situation isn’t exactly realistic, she can’t help but wonder what it would be like to have you around all the time.

Billie shakes her head about to disagree with you when your waiter comes back with your drinks. You smile excitedly because you haven’t had an actual drink in a while, but you were feeling better today so you decided to go for it. You were also celebrating since it was the end of the week and you had yet to fall down again. You made a note to knock on some wood later before turning to Billie as she orders her dinner. You smile absentmindedly before taking a long sip from your drink. Billie watches with an amused smile as your waiter leaves after taking your orders.

“Feeling better?”

Billie’s teasing smile makes you laugh in embarrassment, but you don’t hesitate to nod before you place your already half empty glass on the table. You turn to bring Milo back towards you since he is kind of in the way, and you smile as he moves quickly to sit next to you, his head already in your lap, sniffing for food. You push him away before offering a verbal response.

“Definitely. I didn’t realize how much I missed it.”

Billie smiles at this before taking a sip of her own drink. She eyes Milo when he comes to stand next to her looking for food. Billie simply pets him before shaking her head. She can’t help but smile when he whines a little before just lying down next to her. You smile at this and you’re too busy looking at Milo to realize that Billie’s shooting you an adoring look.

“Well, you deserve it after the week you’ve had, Y/N.”

You nearly laugh at this but you manage to hold yourself back and just smile instead. You can’t think of anything more relaxing than what you’ve done for the last week. You’ve just been sitting around all day doing nothing but spending time with Billie and your dog. You honestly couldn’t think of anything better.

“The week I’ve had? All I’ve done is sit around and spend time with you and Milo. Not exactly taxing, Billie.”

You watch as she smiles at you before you realize that this isn’t exactly what Billie meant. You don’t bother to change your answer because you still feel like you’ve had a pretty nice time off.

Billie shakes her head before clarifying her meaning. “I was mostly referring to Sunday, but I’m glad you haven’t had a miserable time.”

Billie smiles as you blush slightly before shaking your head at the thought of how much of a ‘miserable time’ you’ve had with Billie. Sure, the first couple of days were a little rough, but your headache hadn’t bothered you in hours and you were glad to be out with Billie again. Not that you didn’t enjoy your time alone with the medium, it was just nice to feel normal again. Not sickly and stuck indoors.

“Not at all. I’ve had a lot of fun.”

Billie smirks at the way you say this and she raises an eyebrow as she watches you get lost in thought. She can imagine what you’re thinking of because her mind quickly goes to certain moments alone with you. Billie doesn’t get to dwell on them long before you’re speaking again. She looks up just in time to see you smile cheekily, and she has to resist the urge to throw something at you. The chips in the middle of the table look like a good option.

“With the kittens of course. They’re my favorite part.”

You have to stop yourself from laughing when you see how Billie’s expression changes to one you recognize immediately. You looked away because now wasn’t the best time to humor those thoughts. Instead, you finish up your drink before you smile apologetically at your girlfriend before reaching out for her. She moves her hand away last minute and you pout before trying again.

“Aw Billie, I was kidding. You know you’re my favorite.”

You smile victoriously when Billie accepts your apology and takes your hand with a sigh. She runs her nails over the back of your hand before you turn it so your palm is facing up. You shiver slightly and have to stifle a laugh as Billie tickles your palm. She smiles at your adorably ticklish nature before releasing your hand to reach for her drink.

“I have to bring them back to you soon, don’t I?”

You are too busy feeding Milo a treat that you’d brought with you to follow Billie’s question. You look back to her with a frown before what she said registered and you nod enthusiastically. The kittens are finally old enough to get their first round of vaccines this week. You have no idea what your schedule looks like, but you will make sure to find time for them when you can.

You and Billie talk a little about her cats before your food arrives. You can’t help how excited you look, and Billie doesn’t even try to hold back a laugh at your childlike glee. She knows how you feel about food, but she supposes that it’s food and just the fact that you’re out again that’s making you so happy. She doesn’t let herself feel bad for keeping you at home for so long, but she is glad to see you like this again.

“You’re adorable, Y/N.”

You smile at Billie about to say something sarcastic when something over her shoulder catches your eye. Your smile disappears and you drop the chip in your hand as you groan under your breath. Billie frowns about to turn around to see what you’ve spotted, but she doesn’t get the chance. You sigh in defeat, moving Milo so he’s under the table before putting on the fakest smile you can muster. Maybe she’ll get the hint.

“Claire. How are you?”

It took Billie a moment to recognize the name. She turned to see the brunette standing behind her and her frown immediately deepened. It didn’t take Billie long to realize that she wasn’t going to like this interaction at all. If not for the reasons you’d given her in the past, then just the way that Claire was looking at you now was enough for Billie to decide that she didn’t like her.

Since she heard about your hospital visit, Claire had been trying to track you down. She’d called into your work only to be told that you weren’t going to be in for the next week or so. She knew where you lived from the various stories about you in the news, but she didn’t know which apartment. She’d harassed the front office enough that she was banned and despite hanging around for almost a full day she never saw you.

She had almost given up trying to find you when she realized that you probably weren’t even home.

You were with Billie.

Claire hadn’t wanted to run into the medium, or really see her at all, so she waited. She waited for almost a week before she followed you here. It had taken a while to gather the courage to confront you, but now as she stood beside you, she was glad that she hadn’t just gone home.

“It’s nice to see you alive and well, Doc.”

You stiffen as you watch Claire move closer to you and rest her hand on the table just inches from yours. You don’t fail to notice how she completely ignores Billie, and you turn to your ticked girlfriend before looking back to Claire. You’re not in the mood for whatever this is, and you are going to make sure that Claire knows that. You don’t appreciate that she’s ruined a perfectly good outing by showing up and you try your best not to snap at her as you respond.

“It certainly is. Have you met Billie Dean? Billie this is Claire, she works at the pet store I go to.”

You sincerely hope that Claire could take the hint and leave you in peace. However, as you watch the brunette barely turn toward Billie who somehow looks even less impressed, you feel any hope you had slip away. Claire instead turns more so she’s facing you after throwing a perfunctory look over her shoulder.

“Yeah, hi. I just wanted to check on you. I heard about what happened.”

You sigh in annoyance before responding quickly. You don’t say that you’re fine because you’re not. You’re a little miffed and you want this to end now.

“It was just a little concussion, I’m all better now.”

You ignore Claire as she starts speaking again. You vaguely realize that she’s going on about how concerned she was and how glad she is, but all you can focus on is Billie. She’s shooting you an incredulous look that you assume is a result of your description of your injury. You just shrugged before shooting her a smile that she rolls her eyes at. You see her look down briefly before reaching for what you assume is Milo under the table. You’re glad that he’s stayed put and you sigh before meeting her gaze again. You’re about to say something to cut Claire off when you feel a hand on yours. You know it’s not Billie’s because you’re looking right at the blonde and she’s petting Milo and sipping her wine. Her gaze moves down to where Claire’s hand covers yours, and that finally makes you realize that you haven’t responded.

“Well, I’m glad that you’re feeling better.”

You barely hear the end of what Claire says before you move to stand up. You mostly wanted to move your hand, but for some reason you stood and now you had to do something. You smile before moving around the table, not looking away from Billie who is frowning slightly in confusion. You just smile wider before you reach Billie’s side and sit down next to her. Now Billie is between you and Claire, and you feel like you can breathe again.

“Yeah, I have Billie to thank for that. She took good care of me.”

You get settled in your chair before leaning in close to Billie. Despite the fact that it brings you closer to Claire, you don’t really think she’ll reach over Billie to get to you, you are immediately comforted by the close contact. Claire’s bold, but not that bold. She seems to pause for a second before she does something that really shouldn’t surprise you. She sits down in your abandoned seat before reaching for your drink. Your mouth falls open and you’re glad that you finished it because Claire just frowns before putting it down.

Your patience is gone at this point and you sigh before squeezing Billie’s arm so she doesn’t snap. You felt her tense and you didn’t want her to be the one to tell Claire off. It should be you.

“Did you need something, Claire?”

You sound as ticked as you are, and you’d feel bad about it if this was anyone else. However, it’s not and this was probably the 12th time you’ve had to keep yourself from commenting on something rude that Claire has done. For this reason, you don’t feel much sympathy as the brunette in front of you frowns before looking to your food. You don’t have time to speak up again before Claire is smiling and shrugging casually.

“Yeah, Doc. I was going to ask if you wanted to go out sometime. You know on a real date?”

You can’t help but smile at her question and even as you feel Billie sit up next to you, you let out a laugh. You know that your reaction is weird. You should be pissed by what Claire is insinuating, like Billie, but you just find it hilarious. Your laugh seems to stop her and she frowns in confusion as she looks to you before you manage to sit up with a sigh. You see the smug look on Claire’s face, probably due to the fact that she got a reaction from Billie, but that didn’t really matter. You weren’t going to let her have the satisfaction for long.

“Thanks, but I’m more than happy here with Billie.”

You squeeze Billie’s hand under the table as you say this, but you don’t feel her relax which you don’t like. Your attention turns to Claire though once you hear her sigh heavily before leaning back in her—your chair. She crosses her arms over her chest before finally looking to Billie. There are a lot of things that she’d like to say, to accuse the medium of but she doesn’t. She isn’t sure what you see in her. She’s a hack who thinks too highly of herself, and you deserve better than that.

“Are you sure? I can show you a better time. Like you deserve.”

You scowl and open your mouth to say something a little meaner, but Billie beats you to it. She clenches her fist and glares at the brunette across from her. She doesn’t know much about her, but Billie can’t help but wonder where all of this cockiness comes from. Clearly, she can’t take no for an answer.

“What Y/N deserves is to be respected. Which means when she says back off, you back the fuck off.”

You hold your breath as you watch Claire tense at this and glare at Billie in return. You sigh in defeat, but you nod in agreement with what Billie’s said before saying the last thing you’re willing to about this.

“She’s right Claire. You don’t respect me enough to take no for an answer, so even if Billie wasn’t in the picture, you wouldn’t be either.”

Despite the mood changing drastically from Claire’s unwelcome visit, you and Billie stay for an hour or so longer. You don’t move back to your seat. Instead, you move your food to your side and get yourself a new drink that you finish way too quickly. You sigh before turning to Billie with an apologetic look.

She hasn’t said much since Claire left. You did most of the talking which you couldn’t help but worry about. You know that Billie’s upset and you can’t really blame her, but you’re still nervous. Billie was already stressed out by the interview airing tonight, now this? You frown as you reach out for Billie’s hand that’s resting on your thigh.

“I’m sorry she showed up, Billie. I never would have thought--.”

Billie shakes her head, cutting you off before she sighs in defeat. She has to admit that she was still a little annoyed by the rude interruption to their dinner. She wouldn’t have thought that you had to deal with things like this happening. She didn’t think that Claire was so bold. Then again, you had said that she’s done something similar at work and whenever you went to the pet store.

Finally, Billie finds her words and she tries to smile before squeezing your hand.

“You don’t have to apologize for her behavior. I didn’t realize how persistent she was.”

You smile wryly at this before nodding in agreement. You mention how often Claire has bothered you and Billie feels her anger return full force. Why couldn’t people take a hint?

“She’s still young. Hopefully she’ll get a clue.”

You don’t notice how Billie’s mood has soured until she scoffs a few seconds later. She doesn’t want to imagine what it will take for Claire to get a clue. She drains the rest of her drink with a scowl at the thought. You stop with your fork halfway to your mouth when Billie empties her glass and your eyes widen a little before you put it down. You turn to Billie, not quite sure what to say, but you just go for it hoping you don’t make it worse.

“It’s okay, Billie. I think you scared her off.”

Billie Dean shakes her head before speaking up in a tone that immediately had your attention. You frown despite what Billie says to you.

“No, it’s not okay, Y/N. People shouldn’t treat you like that. Not her and not-.”

Billie trails off, mentally cursing herself for letting that last part slip. She hadn’t planned on mentioning Doug because you’d already made up your mind. She didn’t want to argue about it despite not really liking your decision. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like you’re going to let this go, and you shoot Billie a questioning look.

“What? What were you going to say?”

Billie doesn’t answer immediately and instead reaches for Milo’s treats. She feeds him one and watches as he catches it midair. Billie smiles slightly before turning back to see you frowning.

“Not Claire, or assholes like Doug get to treat you like that. You deserve much better, Y/N. I mean that.”

You smile appreciatively before kissing her in thanks. You pull away sooner than you want, but you’re in public and you are still a little on edge from Claire popping up. So you just smile before moving a stray hair behind her ear with a sigh.

“You know, thanks to you, I’m starting to believe it.”

This time Billie kisses you and you laugh when Milo tries to get in on the action. He wasn’t finished begging for treats and he has his front paws up on the table before you realize what he’s doing. You push him down before shooting him a glare while Billie simply laughs. You roll your eyes but accept another kiss from Billie with a smile.

You eventually pull away before looking around you briefly. You saw Claire leave so you’re not worried about her, but you still feel eyes on you somewhere. Instead of focusing on this you decide to turn back to your girlfriend with a cheeky smile.

“Still, if we run into her again, I want you to punch that bitch in the face, Billie Dean.”

Milo leads you through the neighborhood excitedly on his last walk of the night. It’s almost 11 and you and Billie got back from the restaurant a while ago. You had been glad when Billie seemed to leave her worry behind and return to her normally calm self by the time you arrived home. You left her to go check on the cats and you and Milo were wandering around aimlessly as you thought about what the rest of your time here would look like.

You plan to leave Sunday because you really should get back to your place. You need to get ready to work Monday and that includes making sure that you have food to eat. You are going through a list of things that you need to do when something surprises you and Milo. You jump and then curse as Milo pulls free and runs after whatever just jumped out of the bushes.

“Milo, no! Wait!”

You aren’t completely surprised when he doesn’t listen to you and you groan in annoyance before taking off after him.

Billie is downstairs waiting for you to come back when 11 o’clock rolls around. She sighs before looking to the television with a frown. She’s not going to watch the interview, and she hopes that you don’t want to either. Billie reaches out for Bit when she hears the front door open. She lets Bit rub up against her hand, but she soon flees when Milo comes running into the living room. He’s a mess and Billie’s surprised by the sight of him covered in dirt and leaves.

“Milo, what did you do?”

Billie looks up when she hears you groan loudly before you appear around the corner. It takes you a minute to get your shoes off and you finally sigh in relief before heading to where Billie is waiting. She stands immediately when she sees you and you wince in anticipation as she gasps in surprise.

“Y/N! What happened?”

You, like your dog, are covered in dirt and small cuts from where you’d fallen a couple of times before diving to catch your dog. You stiffen, but don’t protest as Billie’s hands go to your shoulders, and she leads you to the couch. She takes a good look at you and sighs when she notices that you’ve scraped your palms and some of your knuckles pretty badly. She looks to you again for an explanation, and you sigh in defeat before mentioning how Milo had gotten away from you.

“Milo decided to chase a stray cat through some bushes and out of the neighborhood.”

Billie’s eyes widen before she turns back to Milo who is lying at your feet. He is licking his paws but seems fine while you look a little worse for wear. You sigh as you sit up slightly before realizing that you hurt your knee falling too. You hiss in pain and Billie immediately looks over you again before she sees your stained pants.

“Did you hurt your knee?”

Billie is really just asking for clarification because you’d already said that you’d fallen. Still, you nod before muttering something under your breath that Billie doesn’t hear. You shoot Milo a look before sighing in realization. You probably need to get cleaned up. You don’t get to say this; however, because Billie beats you to it as she glances upstairs.

“Let’s get you cleaned up, sweetheart.”

You hiss under your breath as you hold your hand out to Billie. You’re sitting on her bed still in your dirty clothes as the medium gets her supplies together. You watch as she grabs the hydrogen peroxide and you cringe in anticipation waiting as she grabs some gauze.

“This might sting a little.”

You just nod before holding your hand out to Billie and she takes it in hers before carefully cleaning your knuckles. You hold your breath and don’t let yourself curse at the pain. You jump slightly though and Billie just shoots you a sympathetic look before kissing your forehead.

“I’m sorry, Y/N. I’ll be more careful.”

You shake your head and manage a smile before releasing the breath you’d been holding. Billie had been careful and you were just a wimp when it came to injuries. You say something to this effect and Billie rolls her eyes at you as she finishes putting on your band aids. You sigh in relief before thanking Billie for the help. You take a look at your hands before realizing what comes next.

“I guess I need to get undressed, huh?”

Billie just smiles before looking at the clock. It’s nearly midnight, and Billie is a little worn out from her busy day. She wants to make sure you’re taken care of first, so she just nods before turning to leave.

“That’s probably best. I’ll be back in a minute, okay?”

You just nod because you’re finally starting to feel your exhaustion set in. The adrenaline of chasing after Milo and getting to him before he ran into traffic had worn off and now you were just tired. You stifled a yawn as you stood up started to take off your pants. You stumble slightly and groan in annoyance before you manage to get them off. Your breath hitches as you bend your knee and pain shoots up your leg. You curse Milo again before finding a pair of shorts to wear.

You’re dressed and sitting back on the bed when Billie comes back a couple of minutes later. You have your leg stretched out and you’re examining the growing bruise on your knee. Billie’s eyes widen and she hurries over to take a better look. She moves to sit next to you before resting her hand on your calf.

“Oh, Y/N. That looks like it hurts.”

You can’t deny it but you try to as you just shrug and mention that you’ve had worse. Which isn’t a lie, but that doesn’t make your knee throb any less. You think about what you could do to treat it before remembering how much you drank earlier tonight. So instead of medicine you settle on ice, and Billie is right there with you. She leaves you to clean the minor cuts as she hurries downstairs to get some ice.

You shift on the bed before trying to clean your knee, but you immediately realize that it hurts more than you thought it would. You just clench your teeth and bear it, and by the time Billie’s back you have it cleaned and covered. You smile at her before taking the offered icepack that Billie brought. At least you try to, but Billie shakes her head before motioning for you to sit back. You do as she says and lie back against a pillow so you’re more comfortable. Billie holds the icepack over your knee with a questioning look, and you just nod before tensing slightly. Your breath hitches at the cold, but you say nothing as Billie holds it to your knee with a sigh.

“Is there anything else I can do for you, sweetheart?”

You smile before shaking your head. You’ll be fine, you just need to rest and not run around anymore. You turn at the sound of Milo running down the hall you wait until he pushes open the door before sighing again. You look him over and don’t see that he’s hurt himself, but you didn’t really expect anything else. He just ran a lot and then came to a very sudden stop when you managed to step on his leash.

“Milo, you little shit.”

Milo just wags his tail as he comes over to lick your hand. You scratch him briefly before looking to Billie with a sigh. You know it’s late and you’re tired, so you imagine that Billie is too.

“You didn’t hit your head, did you?”

Billie speaks up before you can, but you just shake your head. You had made sure that you didn’t and at the expense of tearing up your hands you’re glad that you hadn’t. You shake your head, not really sure if your headache is from the fall or the alcohol before patting the bed next to you.

“Want to join me?”

Almost half an hour later, you are surprisingly still awake. Billie fell asleep a while ago, but she hadn’t even made it under the covers. She slept with her head in your lap and you gently ran your fingers through her hair as your mind wandered to next Saturday.

The 10th.

You never really cared much about your birthday before. Sure, you liked cake and you didn’t complain about presents, but it wasn’t something you made a big deal about.

This year you were determined to do the same. It was honestly going to feel weird and different no matter what you did. It was the first birthday you wouldn’t be celebrating with family. The first one without your dad.

You quickly think of something else before that train of thought gets you in trouble. You sigh as you glance at your phone. It’s 12:30. You really should sleep. You stifle a yawn as you put your phone back and try to get comfortable without disturbing Billie. You’re almost asleep when you realize that you didn’t watch Billie’s interview.

You decide it’s probably for the best given how upset Billie was afterwards. Instead, you just lie down and pull Billie closer to you. The next interview has to go better for her, right?

Got7 Most to Least Likely to Get Married and Start a Family

This was requested by one of my favorite followers (and just human beings in general) on here, the amazing @safetypineapples thank you for the request love I hope you enjoy it ☺️

Disclaimer: This is strictly my personal opinion based on what I’ve observed in the last three years I’m sure they would all be such amazing husbands and fathers if they decide to get married and start having families I’m sorry if you disagree but I did have fun doing this so please don’t hesitate to send it more requests!!!

MOST

Mark: This one is a no brainer. After watching the Ask In A Box video when he was asked where he sees himself in ten years, he didn’t hesitate to say “married”. From what I’ve seen with how he is with the guys and towards the staff I can tell he’s such a kind-hearted, generous and well-mannered person. He always puts others before himself and makes sure everyone is taken cared of before tending to his own needs. Mark also gives off such boyfriend vibes and I know in my gut that there is 100% chance he is a very loving and doting boyfriend; the type to memorize his significant other’s coffee order, to buy them things that reminds him of them, to check up on them every now and then to make sure they’re eating their meals on time and getting well deserved rest I mean—just look at how he treats Milo that man is so in love with that cute little dog I’m not being biased because I love that man with my entire fucking soul but it’s the truth. I know the guys playfully bully him about being the most sensitive member, but unlike other guys who consider having feelings and being sensitive a feminine trait, Mark embraces that shit (big dick energy) like, he’s not afraid to cry it just shows that he cares a lot. I hope whoever he ends up marrying one day knows just how lucky she is to have him. Honestly, he’s such a family man—he spends every free moment with his family and you can tell that he really misses them. I’m sure he probably feels bad that he had to leave his family at such a young age, especially Joey because it must’ve been hard having to grow up without your main role model so now he gives to Joey whatever he possibly can to help him out he donated money to Joey’s charity, supports his gaming streams and buys him gifts almost every single time I’m not crying you are. Also, he never fails to go and support the other members in their solo activities (wearing their merch, attending their solo fan meets, promoting their music). He just seems like such a supportive and loyal person. The way he interacts with his nieces is extremely adorable, what more when he has his own kids? And when there are kids around, he always is so good with interacting with them and making them feel comfortable. I’m sure if he wasn’t an idol, he would’ve started a family a long time ago and I have a feeling that might be one of the things he dislikes about being an idol. The idea of father Mark is making me scream ugh I just know he’s going to be the best dad.

Jinyoung: Just like Mark, Jinyoung gives me family man vibes. He is quite the gentleman towards every single woman he comes in contact with; his co-stars, female idols, makeup artists and staff members. I know he is such an amazing actor, but sometimes acting can only go so far—the way he kisses, touches and talks with his co-stars makes me feel like he is like that in person also; very romantic, gentle and sensual. He is also very good with kids (he couldn’t stop hugging that little boy who interviewed him one time it still makes me cry to this day) and back in that one real got7 episode, he was doing THE MOST to make sure one of the little girls chose him. But even if it was a competition, he seemed to have fun entertaining the two girls and it’s not easy taking care of children. On the set of He Is Psychometric, he was so sweet towards all the children; holding them, making them laugh, playing around with them. Also, being the youngest, it seems as though his sisters are very protective over him and it’s obvious that they have a very tight bond. I mean, he used to refer to himself as the mother of Got7, so I feel like he has caretaking traits and knows how to provide for the ones that he loves. The way he interacts with the other guys also gives it away; he might be playful and mischievous when it comes to Yugyeom, BamBam and sometimes even Jaebeom, but he can also be very defensive when it comes to them. All in all, I feel that Jinyoung is focused on being an actor and an idol, but once he’s done with his military enlistment and when Got7 decide to start slowing down in order to live domestic lives (which won’t be for a while please don’t come for me I’m begging) then he will start focusing on his personal life.

Jackson: I had a hard time choosing between Jinyoung and Jackson on who should be in second place just because Jackson seems like he really wants to start a family as soon as he can like he talks about it all the time. When he attended his best friend’s wedding, he just seemed so happy and he made it known that he couldn’t wait until it was his turn to be at the altar. I just know this man is so amazing when it comes to women like he is a FEMINIST and he’s one of the only idols I know who isn’t afraid to talk highly about female idols or just women in general like in my opinion, he doesn’t seem like the type who would be upset if it came out that he was in a relationship. Just look at how he treats his mom—the way a man is with his mother just shows the kind of man he’ll be in a relationship. He is always so quick to give a girl his jacket, cover them up if they are uncomfortable with what they are wearing or to feed them (he fed a fan once I don’t know what war she fought in her past life for that to happen but shit why wasn’t it me). On Let Go Of My Baby, he did not let any child cry for less than a couple of seconds before running to their rescue like that show was honestly so cute it just gave us a glimpse of what an amazing father he will be one day. He also held them whenever they felt homesick and even when he scolded one of them for playing around, he picked her up and apologized. Even when it comes to his niece; especially since he only sees her a few times every year, he puts that little girl on a pedestal. I just feel like right now, his main priority is his career and he wants to wait for it to simmer down before he starts settling down.

Youngjae: I still have yet to witness Youngjae even talking to a woman (other than staff members and fans) and it’s probably just me, but he doesn’t seem like the type to really put himself out there as much as the other members do when it comes to talking with other girls but from what I’ve read, he is a really good friend (and was one of the only people who helped Mina from AOA with the whole Jimin situation) so it’s obvious he genuinely cares for those he is close to. And if it’s any consolation; just look at the way he loves Coco like I’ve never seen someone love anyone as much as Youngjae loves Coco. But he’s such a sweet and kindhearted person (his laugh could honestly cure cancer don’t @ me) and from the videos I’ve watched, he is also very sensitive and that just proves he has a heart of gold. He said that he wants a daughter like the little girl in miracle because she was so cute so it’s obvious he does want a family some day. He might not be the type to go all out when it comes to showing affection or interest in communicating with women (maybe he just doesn’t want unnecessary controversy) (poor idols have to worry about what people would say if they were to even just wave to someone of the other sex) but he might be the type to do it in private. I’m sure he’s a gentleman, but more of the kind of person to do it secretly in order to prevent wandering eyes or irrelevant rumors. I don’t see posts of his nieces and nephews on social media as much as I do with Jackson and Mark, but then again maybe his sister isn’t the type to show off her kids. However, he seems like such a doting uncle in that one video at their concert in Korea when his nephew yelled his name (it was so fucking cute).

Jaebeom: This man’s mind never fails to intrigue me. With a lot of his songs, he is either really romantic, angsty or really horny there is no in between. The guys say that he is the type to get really shy and act like a dork in front of the girl he likes and honestly, even if he tries his best to come off as “chic and sexy” this man is a literal ball of fluff. He seems like the biggest momma’s boy and I feel it’s because growing up, it was just him and his mom until she met his stepdad. If you watch the way he acts towards his mom, his personality is that of a little kid. From my personal experience of having a single mother, I’m sure it was hard for him watching his mom struggle as a single mother raising him all on her own, so he just wants to give back to her what she deserves and I know he is probably like that in relationships also. He claims that he writes songs based on what he reads in books and watches in movies, but with how the boys tease him about how romantic he can be, I know he writes songs based on personal experience. He has five cats and he literally talks to them like they’re children (and the fact that he doesn’t want to post about them because he wants to give them their privacy) makes my heart so warm I can’t even explain it like I know he says his fans are his friends, but there are some things he wants to keep to himself and I respect that. There was one Vlive where he did say he doesn’t plan on having kids but he does want to get married some day. As much as I think he would be a great dad, if he doesn’t see himself having kids then that’s totally up to him. Even if he is so soft whenever he is around children, it’s another thing when having your own kids. Who knows though, maybe one day he’ll come to the realization that he does want a big family. As a leader, he does such an amazing job with making sure all members are happy and healthy (he might present himself as this big, scary dude but he has the biggest weakness for his members you can tell he loves those 6 boys with his entire being)(Im Jaebeom is the best leader in Kpop I don’t make the rules). Also, when he talks, he comes off to be very insecure and he’s the type who isn’t afraid to speak his mind even if he knows it might be controversial so I get the vibe that he is very vulnerable. He might seem like a dominant person, but I think that he’s willing to be such a submissive ball of cheese to the lucky girl who owns his heart. Idk man, but he also seems like the type to get really hurt over a break up (I will fight anyone who breaks this man’s heart deadass).

Yugyeom: As the youngest of the group and just like BamBam, I don’t think he’s really think about getting married or settling down any time soon. Honestly, Yugyeom seems like the type who would start having a family in his late 30s/early 40s just because he wants to give his full attention to his career. When Got7 first started out, he always seemed so shy when it came to talking with other girls, and I feel as if at one point, he was insecure about approaching girls, but now he just oozes confidence and sex appeal. I’m not saying he hasn’t dated anyone before (I’m sure he’s had a couple of relationships or at least a few flings) but he doesn’t strike me as someone whose main priority is a relationship as of right now. He’s always making music, preparing choreographies and producing songs, so as much as he wants to date, his girlfriend might not be the top of his list. A lot of his songs are sexual, so maybe a lot of the relationships he’s pursued were sexual rather than romantic and domestic (but what do I know). I haven’t really heard him talk about what he plans on doing once Got7 no longer are performing and making music as much; but sometimes it’s the ones we’d least expect who have dreams of getting married and starting big families. In the few reactions I’ve watched with him and kids, he seems to have a lot of fun teasing them and playing games with him and I think it’s because he’s still somewhat of a kid himself. I think he’s willing to change his outlook on relationships when it comes to the right person and he’ll be willing to fit them in to his busy schedule if he really loves them. Maybe after he finishes his military enlistment and decides that it’s time to start setting his focus on something other than his career, he will take the leap and get in to a full-blown relationship.

BamBam: Okay, just because I put him as the last one doesn’t mean I don’t think he wouldn’t want to settle down or have a family. But I feel like both BamBam and Yugyeom are still so young that getting married and having kids is way in the back of their minds as of right now. When the time comes, I just know BamBam is going to be such an amazing father. Just watching The Return of Superman and the way he took such amazing care of that little girl proves that he has a weak spot for kids. He’s even an uncle now and I really want him to go back to Thailand so he can finally meet his nephew. Unlike the older members, I haven’t really seen BamBam interact with women other than the few clips of when they were younger (and he was always such a flirt). In the episode of Hello Counselor he told one of the other celebrities on the show that he didn’t have time to date and his job kind of prevents him from experiencing what it’s really like to be in a relationship (but I’m pretty sure he and all of the members have been in relationships) however, they’re always so busy and probably don’t have the time nor the privacy to really go outside and walk around freely with their significant others. The guys also make jokes about how he’s narcissistic and pretty in to himself (Jackson made the joke that if he were to date someone, he would focus more on himself than his partner) but I don’t think he would be the type to do so. Like I said, he’s still young to be thinking about what his future with a family looks like but who knows? He might just surprise us all and be the first one to get married then you can all disregard this post HAHAHAHA. Deep down, I know BamBam is a genuine person and he will be such a wonderful husband and father one day.

A friend needs to rehome one of her cats, and I don’t even know if milo would like another cat around so it’s pointless worrying. But it does make me wonder if I could even handle more than one pet. Before my previous cat was hospice, yes. But since, and now with chickie, I’m too anxious about his every movement and need. He is my focus and reason, and how would I count his calories if I had to keep track of more than one pet? I leave his dry out to graze (he usually eats a bit midday and then the rest between 7-9pm) and he gets wet twice a day. Are people ok with not knowing if their cats share or do they just assume the cats can handle it? They eat what they want? Our dogs, while growing up, ate their food all at once and that was that. Two meals a day. They ate immediately. My previous cat grazed. Wet twice a day. I wasn’t obsessed with calorie counting yet. But Milo doesn’t like to be told to do anything. He always holds out on eating briefly. I would hate to worry about the other cat getting to his food first and wouldn’t be able to keep them totally separated for him to do what he likes. It’s a nonissue since I don’t plan on taking another cat in, but I’m good at worrying so here we are.

Imma just gush about my month of Wizard101 and how I finally got to a close “end” of the game.

Had solid concepts, kinda threw them out of the window

I do not like the writing in a majority of the arc

I think I was so disappointed, because I hyped these worlds up so much, the expectations did not meet reality

I only pushed through this for the concepts of Mirage and Polaris and wanted to see where Grandpappy Spider went

But you always appreciate it anyways because you know that this boy just wants the best for you-

Ron is straightforward and makes it his daily goal to make you happy-

If you’ve had a bad day, Ron will literally go and get your favorite food/drink/thing to immediately make you feel better, and it works 100% of the time.

Aaah- This man lowkey cares a lot in the relationship and he’s just but a bit worried and is self conscious.

But you just tell him that he's enough and that you'll love him no matter what.

After that he'll just immediately hug you and you would press kisses on his jawline while softly rubbing his back to reassure him that you’re there.

Soft declarations of love are always said and done between the two of you and you knew that you couldn’t live without it.

It was practically essential at this point and you’d never ever get tired of Ron saying ‘I love you’.

Ron is also very protective of you but he’s embarrassed to admit it.

It’s a beautiful dynamic and it just works in the best way possible.

Okokok I’ve rambled enough, but have I mentioned how caring and amazing Ron is? Yeah? Well screw it, here’s more-

Ron is a little spoon half of the time but he’ll never admit it like the stubborn cutie that he is-

You love holding him in your arms and he loves it all the same too!

But Ron is such a good fucking boyfriend, it’s making me ascend-

When you’d fall asleep in your desk while doing work, Ron would ALWAYS carry you back to your shared bedroom and lay you down gently on the bed.

Ron will get on the bed and he’d be the big spoon as he’d crawl into bed with you.

But then you’d turn to face him in your sleep and you’d instinctively pull him closer and your cheek would be resting on chest

Oml- I can’t the scene is too goddamn wholesome-

Buuuut if you fall asleep on the couch, Ron would bring a nice fluffy blanket to cover you and he’d sit next to you and he’d fall asleep while making sure you were ok-

You never liked waking up or mornings before, but mornings with Ron? Oh yeah, you were DOWN for that-

Ron’s fluffy tousled hair in the morning is GOLDEN and when you’d push it back to reveal his sleepy but hella handsome face, it’s fucking over I swear-

Ron also feels the same when he wakes up next to you and he genuinely thinks that it’s like waking up to an angel-

But Ron’s husky voice when he wakes up is 😩👌💕, is there anymore to say???

You’d two would just stay in bed cuddling with Milo by your side during the few hours of the morning and you couldn’t ask for anything better.

Ron was known and cemented as a hardened, scary, and stern soldier, but you didn’t mind one bit.

Because to you... Ron was the best thing that could’ve ever happened to your life, and you couldn’t care less as to what other people thought of him. 💞

feel free to ignore but you ever just think about preppy little brock boeser having a punk gf w tattoos and piercings who becomes best buds w petey because they just quietly judge everyone who comes in their vicinity together...i have many more thoughts about how soft she is w b and the dogs and gets nervous about meeting his v midwestern family as an alt-looking person but I cant articulate them lol I just feel like prince charming boeser is one of the least shallow hockeys and it would be cute

i have never thought about this before this moment but my 12 year old scene phase just came out and said HELLO THAT COULD BE US and now i’m having war flashbacks but here are some thoughts below the cut!

You met Brock like a typical modern day millennial, at a party with some mutual friends

He was really friendly and sweet all night, but you didn’t think anything of it

In full honesty, he wasn’t your usual type and you were pretty damn sure you weren’t his, so it hadn’t even crossed your mind until you were heading out of the party and Brock had run up after you.

“Hey, can I buy you dinner sometime?”

You were stunned to say the least, but said yes anyway

It was kind of the best first date of your life and Brock’s too

You balanced each other out easily

Brock was a golden retriever and you were a little storm cloud, but golden retrievers really like splashing in puddles so it was kind of perfect somehow?

The first time he brought you around his teammates and their girlfriends you were a little nervous to say the least

All the other girls were blonde and preppy and just traditionally pretty

You weren’t insecure at all. You paid for your tattoos. You designed them. You were proud of them. Brock thought they were “fucking rad” were his first words when he saw them all for the first time

But everyone else was in black leggings, a white t-shirt, and a jean jacket with their curled blonde hair and you definitely felt a little out of place

Brock just pulled you into his side, and kept tossing the conversation your way

It didn’t take long for him to get you telling stories about work and your family and Brock’s dogs and you fit right into the group

Petey had been absent from the bar that night and came out to lunch with you two the next day

The first ten minutes were awkward to say the least. You couldn’t get Petey talking

That is until some incredibly hungover woman came in with an outfit that you couldn’t wrap your head around, a loose purple velour track suit with JUICY on the ass, her hair in the famous middle-aged mom look, diamond drop earrings, and black kitten leather heels

You couldn’t hold back your face and Petey caught it

“I don’t understand,” you mumbled looking at her. “Why?”

“She’s going somewhere,” Petey added. “Not sure I want to know where that is.”

“Me either,” you replied

And you were in with Petey from that moment on

He’s just think you’re “the prettiest, coolest cat around”

You always groan whenever he says so, but he’s just a simp for you

You get a new tattoo? He’s checking it out the second you get back to his place, asking you all about it, ranking it on his list of favorites

He’s just into you, which means he’s into whatever makes you feel good and makes you happy

The day he drops the, “Hey, if you can take a few days off, would you want to come back to Minnesota with me?” you panic

If Coolie hadn’t been snuggling in your lap, you scratching his ears, you might have just bolted out of his apartment

You definitely weren’t his midwestern parents’ idea of a girlfriend for Brock, there was just no way

And his family was so important to him that you’d been trying to put this off for as long as you could because you saw it as the inevitable end to your relationship, the time you’d had to say goodbye to Brock and you just weren’t ready to do that, maybe not ever if you could help it

He was just so good to you and such a good partner

“My mom keeps asking if you’re coming,” he says to you. “She really wants to meet you. I’ve obviously told her all about you. She’s so excited to meet the girl I’m crazy about.”

“Are they even going to like me?” you ask him

“Baby, they already love you,” Brock laughs. “I’ve told them allllllll about you. They’ve seen all the pictures of us. They love you already.”

So, about the gold saints, how do you think each of them fit in modern life outside of sanctuary? Like hobbies or side occupations, or doing normal, mundane things in the city or dealing with technology like tv, cars and phones and etc? The sanctuary is so detached from outside that could as well be stagnated in another time period, but I suppose that most of them have a social life or a "normal" persona since they are almost never in the sanctuary unless summoned. The anime anime showed it a bit regarding the bronze saints, but I was always curious about the golden ones 😩

Sorry for the wait, I’ve been busy.

Well, let’s see... as a disclaimer, I will say that I mostly headcanon them living at the Sanctuary (they have private chambers in the temples), so I didn’t thoroughly think about this. But I have some ideas, because I love putting these characters in the world we know. In my own worldbuiling I have for them, they’re all familiar with technology and the like, but only because it’s a more specific situation. So this will be what I think they do on a more general account.

Some of them definitely don’t deal with technology and have mundane occupations and hobbies. The major example is Mu, who lives isolated in Jamir, so we already know about him. Maybe the only times he gets in touch with the normal society is for groceries, but I’m pretty sure anything else that’s “normal” is not in his life.

Shaka is another one that doesn’t deal with a normal life, because I imagine him self-isolating to meditate in peace. Just like Mu, the only society he sees (well, experiences) is when he buys food. That’s a necessity even Shaka need. Anything else is out of the picture.

Most of the other ones, on the other hand, have their fair share of normal life experience. Although, I also think they won’t even think about having a job or something of sort. Normal persona or not, these are still Gold Saints. Can you imagine them having to work? For someone that’s not actually more important than them? Nah.

I can imagine Aldebaran strolling around the streets of his home country, having cheerful conversations with people he knows, maybe drinking something while watching tv in a bar.

Saga would never leave the Sanctuary to have a normal life. And he didn’t, because Ares is a bitch. The one I actually picture going around having a normal life is Kanon, both before and after his redemption, although with very different outcomes. As in, he’d end up getting arrested every three days before turning over to a new leaf. Kanon would definitely pick up fishing as a hobby, even if just to spite Poseidon.

Deathmask... well, we have Soul of Gold, right? Gambling, drinking, an overall being a menace to society. Although, I don’t think he’d be that much of a pain for other people. Can you imagine him going to get groceries, and just being an asshole to everyone serving him? I can’t. Also, he likes to cook, and is particularly fond of driving around (pretty sure he illegaly bought his driver’s license).

I think Aiolia, much like Saga, doesn’t leave the Sanctuary unless it’s necessary. For the life of me, I cannot picture him having a mundane life. If I go completely off the rail, like what I do in my work, then yeah he likes going to Athens and walk around the city, but as far as hobbies go I have no idea. Technology I feel is a no go for him, but if he were to own a phone or a camera... well, the entire camera roll would be filled with photos of cats.

Dohko is a menace with technology and should never be allowed near it. Not because he’s useless at understanding how stuff works, but because once he does it’s over. For everyone he has the number of. He’d probably be the only one willing to have a job, though. As a teacher, maybe, given how much patience and sass he showed with Shiryu and Shunrei. The city life, however, is not for him. After spending so much time in quietness, I feel like for him going to a city is nothing but a hassle. He’d probably have a house in the village near the waterfall and be friendly with everyone.

Milo loves the city life. He lives in a big house, at least as big as his pride, and is always out to find new places to have fun. He own a motorcycle, obviously, and has a phone that he uses way too much. But! he’s not a very open person when it comes to people he knows in his normal life. His mundane friends probably don’t even suspect that he’s a Saint. I also picture him with a passion for music, so his hobby is playing the guitar. Electric, of course. This man is a metalhead and you cannot convince me otherwise.

Aiolos... well, doesn’t Episode G tells us he likes to spend money? I don’t know with him, really. I mostly think that he wouldn’t leave the Sanctuary, and at most would have hints of a normal life dotted here and there in his Saint life. Technology? A little. Watching tv is a good way to pass time. His hobby is also his “job”, basically, because it’s archery.

What can I say about Shura? His normal persona might be completely opposite to how he is a Saint. As much as I love him as a perfectionist with sight homicidal tendencies (all redeemed, thank the gods), I think he’s one of the Saints that know how to properly function in a normal society. He’d prefer living in a quieter place, like a small town on the mountains, but has a good relationship with technology and the like, and likes to participate in social events if they’re not too crowded.

Camus is straight up as asocial as I am and lives in complete isolation in Siberia. Only owns a cellphone, prefers books to a television, and limits all social contacts to the extreme necessary. Not because he hates people, but because he enjoys the silence. Especially after having to deal with two trouble-making students. He owns both a sled and a (I’m not sure if it’s called like that) snowmobile, but prefers the former because dogs. He loves his huskies. Rarely, though, he likes to make an exception and come down to the village, visit the local bar. Maybe drink something away from his house and have a chat with his neighbors.

The Saint that’s mostly able to blend in with society, especially in big bustling cities, is Aphrodite. Technology is not a mystery for him, and gardening is definitely his hobby. He never refuses a drink with some company (if the company is good enough for him), and owns a (very expensive) car he uses to move around. Traffic is a travesty, so he also likes to take long walks, and is probably the only Saint with a frequently updated social media. He has way too many followers for his own good, but no one dares to send him unsolicited messages.

I would have loved to have more extensive headcanons for all of them, but as I said, most of the ones I actually have come from a very specific work I’m writing, so they wouldn’t work with a general situation. Maybe I’ll come back to this, add stuff I forgot or something I make up with time. Who knows.

Ooh, on the topic of dad!Dan and cute kidfic, which of the main GG characters do you think would want to have kids, and of the characters that did have kids, what kind of parents would they be? Dan is the one character actually who I feel like would definitely want kids, he’s just so... nurturing, I guess? Like he’s the mom friend of the group despite being kind of a human disaster lol. Whereas with Serena I’m not so sure that she’d want kids at all. Curious what your headcanons are!!

Dan and Blair both feel like characters who want to be parents. This is probably not a super common opinion, but I feel like Blair’s pregnancy and everything pertaining to it, miscarriage aside, was not handled very convincingly by the show. There was just too much going on, and I wasn’t really a fan of the way it was portrayed, but I don’t know how to explain that better. Like it wasn’t ~bad~ or ~problematic~, it just didn’t convince me. I just didn’t get the Blair Wants To Be A Mother vibe from her (which I think makes sense, given everything else she was going through at the time, but like - even then? it fell a little flat to me personally.)

That said, Blair as a character does feel like she would like having children, but during a time in her life when things are more settled. She would want to provide her kids the sort of stability that she and her friends never grew up with, and she would love them with all her heart. I think she would do her best not to repeat what her mother did to her, and she would be gentle and kind with her children in ways she never was with, say, the girls at Constance who she belittled to tears for daring to wear tights instead of leggings. The way Blair takes care of Serena when Serena’s wasted and making unhealthy decisions? That patience and unwavering support? I think Blair would give her kids all that.

And Dan, of course. We’ve been over dad!Dan so much, I don’t know what is there to say that hasn’t already been said :’)

Nate and Vanessa both feel relatively neutral on the topic. Like, it depends on their partner. If they were with someone who wanted kids, they would be like “sure!”, but I don’t think they would be those people who absolutely want children, and would be just as content if their partner didn’t want any kids and they ended up adopting cats/dogs or even just living alone with their person. I don’t think either of them are super particular.

But I think Nate would sway more towards wanting kids - we see how much love and loyalty he has for family, even though his family on the show is really shitty. What I want for Nate is a family of his own, and I think Nate would be such a good parent. Me wanting Nate to be a dad doesn’t necessarily equal to Nate wanting to be a dad, though. The way I characterise him, I really think it’s a 50/50 chance either way.

Vanessa, on the other hand, I feel would sway towards not really wanting kids unless her partner does (or if she got pregnant, I feel like she wouldn’t abort - V would definitely be pro-choice, duh, but I think she would choose to keep a child? I don’t know how to explain this, but I have strong feelings.) I feel like Vanessa’s dream life is very ‘travel the world making documentaries’ and I think she would be very dedicated to her work and to creating art in a way that is super full-time. But when Milo was around, Vanessa was so taken by him and so fascinated - I think Vanessa would like kids of her own? But I don’t think she’s planning for them or anything.

I agree about Serena - I think she wouldn’t want children of her own. She would love being the godmother and would spoil the Dair children (? Date children? Blairnessa children? well. whatever. whomsoever’s children) and she would 100% be the cool aunt, everyone’s kids would love her and she would love all of them, but she wouldn’t want to be a parent and have kids for her own. It’s just not for her.

I don’t think Jenny would want kids of her own. But I don’t think she’d be super opposed, either. A lot like Nate & Vanessa, but not entirely unbiased. I feel Jenny would be one of those people who’s like “I don’t think I ever want kids of my own” and then she sees her girlfriend holding a baby in her arms and talking in a quiet voice to the baby and she’s like “Hmmm. Maybe. Just maybe.” (which is not to say everyone is like this. A lot of people who do not want kids will never want kids, and that’s obviously totally valid. Just putting this disclaimer so that it doesn’t get misunderstood.)

I do think Eric would want kids, but I think once he’s older (in his 30s). And I think he would want to adopt / foster a teenager, or something like that - he’d want to adopt one of those kids who don’t usually find homes through the foster system. I can see him adopting an LGBTQ+ kid, or a disabled kid, or a kid with a lot of trauma - I actually see him as a proper foster parent, who’d foster slightly older teenagers (15-17.) I don’t really see Eric as someone who would want to raise babies, toddlers or smaller children, but I can imagine it’d be fulfilling for him personally to be a parental figure for teenagers who feel as alone as he once did, and....... come to think of it, actually, I think Eric would prefer being a foster parent. I think he’d really like that.

Now for Chippy Wisk, whom I was gonna skip because most people on my blog do not care about him, but I just felt like I couldn’t skip him. I don’t think Chuck would want kids for the sake of having kids - if he did it’d be for his ~reputation~ in the business world, for seeming dignified, etc. And honestly, looking at canon and the number of times he prioritises his business above all else, even Blair - I think if he did have children, he would not spend time with them, and I just don’t see him being a good parent at all (6x10 finale is a fever dream, y’all.) He feels very much like the sort of parent who destroys a child’s favourite toy and makes them watch him do that just to teach them a lesson. I know it probably sounds like I’m being biased, but nah. I’m just thinking based off the show, his canon violence towards the ‘woman he loves’, and his attitude towards business. Oh my god. Chuck should get with Anne Archibald. /j (but lbr, that could’ve been totally serious.)
