JjK men when you are too innocent for them(fem. reader)
—
Here’s little update! Sorry for taking long to upload this, I have a lot of drafts but haven’t made them into posting cuz I’m again busy for school application and preparing for my April intake at language school in Osaka. Hope you enjoy this, luvs!
—
Satoru Gojo
-He likes the way you look at him with inspiring wide eyes when he told you smth you don’t know. It’s his weakness and he thinks it’s so cute and u can make him die for u with that look. But not when you told him a guy told you that he want to do doggy with u that u didn’t know what that mean so u asked if he knows. He suddenly silent and then, “Who is that guy?” He asked with a frown. “Why? Is that a bad joke or smth?” U asked him, worried. He looked down at you, starring at your innocent eyes and oh fckkk his thoughts filled with lust over your innocence, he grinned “Do u want me to show you?” then pushed you to lie down on couch and licked his lips. “I will fcking murder that pervert later but for now, let me take care of you first” said he.
Toji Fushiguro
-You just started working at a bar and Toji and his friends are regulars there. “Hey new girl, don’t you know how to serve us, pretty?” A man from their group yelled, looking at you like a dish. U didn’t like that but you don’t know what he mean either. “Umm… do u want me to take another order, sir…?” U asked, nervously. The men laughed but stopped by Toji. “Dudes, don’t scare out of this innocent kid” he looked you up and down. U were scared and stepped back a little. He chuckled then, stood up and stepped closer and closer to you. He touched your face and lifted it to look at him. How cute ur resisting his strength he thought. “U don’t need to serve those bastards. U only have to serve me” he grabbed your waist. “Give me your number” he whispered. “I’m not interested in you” you pushed him but it didn’t work. He smiled. “Don’t worry, I will find it out later”
Kento Nanami
-You’re an intern and being hit on by a lot of guys at workplace cuz of your beauty. They took advantage of your friendliness and innocence that see good in everyone. One day, you were printing something and suddenly, your colleague shamelessly flirt with you which makes you so uncomfortable. “Do you wanna come drink with me tonight? We can go love place later” he asked. “What is the love place?” you asked. “Oh well, it just a place where you can watch movie and chill” he lied. “So r u up to it?” he asked but interrupted by Nanami. “I thought flirting at workplace is forbidden” he reminded the guy. “If u don’t wanna lose your job, step out”. The guy looked scared, “Yes, sir…I’m so sorry” he said and left. Nanami turned back to you which you were just starring. “How on earth you don’t know what is love place is?” He sighed. “You look like you are easy to deceive” he said. “I’m sorry… thanks a lot anyway” u said before you left and he was surprised it made his heart beat so fast.
Megumi Fushiguro
-He was busy but when you phoned him, he pick up. “Megumi!” U said. “Yeah what’s up again” he said. “A guy in my class dm me like how about we sexting… like what does that mean? Did he spelled that wrong or smth?” You asked. Megumi was stunned. “How do you not know about it” he sighed. “Just block the guy”. “I can’t! He’s our project leader” you said. “Give me his number I will ask him what does that mean for you, ok?” He asked, so you did. Later that day, when that guy see you at school, he looked so frightened and randomly apologizing to you and begging for forgiveness, which made u so confused.
Suguru Geto
-You started dating him a few months ago and he’s comfortable enough to ask you this. “So, what’s your body count?” He asked as he watched at you eating a cake. “Huh?” You asked, confused. “Body count?”. He raised his eyebrows. “Yeah? It’s ok if you’re uncomfortable talking about it” he said. “No like I don’t know what you mean… is it like in a game?” You asked which made him laughed so hard. “Guess it’s zero then” he smirked. “Seriously what’s that?” U asked again. “Never mind you will see what it mean later” he said as he wiped the cream on your lips with tissue.
—
-I hope u guys love this! Like and share would be so much appreciated! Thanks<33

Love in the Moonlight 18+
Request: Hiya ❤️ hope you don't mind me sending in a Tim Bradford idea 😊 I thought about something where they're colleagues and close friends (with crushes) but she distances from him as he starts going out for dates. He notices that and one night comes to her apartment to confront her. But as he sees her in her nightgown he can't resist and kisses her, making love to her, and she never stops him. Afterwards they cuddle and he admits that he just went on dates to get rid of the feelings he has towards her, but now all he wants is her to be his girl, which she happily accepts. Thank you in advance sweetheart 💋 you're the best !
Pairings: Tim Bradford x Police Officer!Reader
Warnings: fluff, angst, swearing, smut
Masterlist
A/N: @talesofreading and @imagine-all-the-fandoms Tim smut for ya hope you're prepared....
Love can make you do some crazy things. Love could make you jealous to the point of doing something you regret. Love can make you think of nobody else besides that person. Love is just unpredictable. Love is something you want with Tim but it seems like you were the only one that wants that. Tim doesn’t even seem that interested in you and you hated that. Every time you saw Tim you fell further in love but he just seems to see you as one of the guys and that kills you. What you didn’t know was that he loved you too but was too afraid to show. Every date you went on made him jealous and every date he went on shattered your heart a little more each time. You wanted that to be you. You wanted to be the one wrapped in his coat on a windy night or under his arm sleeping in his bed.
Tim and you were very close and the crush started when you both got out of the academy and then when you both got accepted at the same precinct. Where he became a TO you just became a regular officer and you loved it. You and Tim did everything together from texting each other 24/7, eating lunch together, having each other over at each other’s apartments, crashing at each other places when one became too drunk, even to the point of going to the movies together. You both had everything from bathroom necessities to both of your favorite types of coffee at each other’s apartments. How were you not supposed to fall in love with the man you hang out with all the time?
The only people that knew of this crush was your two best friends Angela and Talia who had sworn to secrecy not to say anything. You had girls’ night often and you would rant and rave about it and they would sympathize with you. You even talked to them about maybe transferring to another unit or taking the offer that the FBI that you kept getting offers from. Currently you were out with the girls, that included Lucy now, at a bar that you visited frequently. Everyone was a few drinks in but you were further into them and feeling it. “I just don’t know what to do anymore. Clearly, he doesn’t like me like that and he only sees me as one of his guy friends. I can’t keep going on with this burning aching feeling of love for him. It’s to the point that I’m considering taking that offer that the FBI has been sending me. I would be in Quantico, VA and far away from him.” You said taking a drink of your beer that had been freshly poured.
“Oh honey, he feels so much more towards you.” Lucy said and you scuffed.
“Bullshit. He has a funny way of showing it.” You said. You were definitely drunk. “I just want to have hot crazy sex with him.” You said and everyone chuckled.
“Ok, that is enough for you.” Angela said “I’m gonna call Tim to come and get you.” She said and you looked at her horrified. You all had taken a cab to the bar since you all were drinking and then you had planned for Nolan or Jackson to come and get you all. You had taken one earlier to secure a spot and started drinking about 3 minutes before them starting with the hard stuff aka Fireball.
“Nooooo, you can’t do that.” You said beginning to slur. That was the thing about you two, the both of you would drop everything to come to each other aid no matter what and no matter where.
“Yes, I’m calling him.” Angela said and pulled out her phone and dialed his number in. “I’m also calling Nolan afterwards to come and get us. We’re calling it a night.” She said and then Tim answered she started talking to him.
——————————————————————
Tim was out having a date with Teresa and was not having a good time. He really wished that he was with you at the moment with you cuddled in his arms. Tim was bored. She was going on about something that happened at work and he was halfway paying attention to her. Suddenly he heard his phone ringing and he mentally sighed in relief, he pulled it out and saw that it was Angela calling and he frowned, a million questions ran through his head: ‘Did something happen?’, ‘Were you alright?’. He answered it without hesitation.
“Angela, is everything ok?” He asked right out of the gate.
“Tim, hi. I know you’re on a date right now but Y/N is absolutely hammered. Can you come and get her?” She asked
“Of course. Is she ok?” He asked, reaching for his wallet.
“If you would consider her about to get into a bar fight with a guy that touched her ass, then yeah.” She said and that made his eyes widened in panic.
“I’ll be there soon. Just keep her contained. I’m 5 minutes away.” He said
“We’ll try our best. But you know your girl is strong as hell.” She said and his heart skipped a beat when she said that. “Just hurry.” She said and then hung up and so did he.
Teresa was looking at him as he finished the call. “Let me guess you need to go.” She said and he nodded.
“I’m sorry.” He said and she smiled.
“It’s ok. Raincheck?” She said and he nodded. He got in and started the trip to the bar that was only 5 minutes away. He was quick to spot you and Angela outside and you were sitting on the curb looking drunk as all get out and he knew you would be feeling it in the morning.
——————————————————————
Angela saw the lights of his truck and sighed in relief. “Y/N, your knight in shining armor has arrived.” She said with a smirk and you looked at her.
“No, he is not. He doesn’t love me like that.” You slurred and she shook her head. Tim parked the truck and got out and walked over to you.
“How much did she have to drink?” He asked and you looked up at hearing his voice.
“Timothy!” You slurred and tried to stand up but fell and he sighed but helped you stand up.
“I think she started drinking before we arrived.” Angela said and Tim turned toward you.
“Y/N how much have you had to drink?” He asked using his cop voice and you looked at him and started thinking.
“Like 6 shots of Fireball, several glasses of beer, and lots and lots of shots. Speaking of shots, can we go in and get more?” You asked, already starting to turn towards the bar.
“Nope as a friend, I’m cutting you off.” He said and that sent a pang of hurt through your chest.
“Right friend.” You said and let him help you get in his truck. He turned to Angela who was walking with you both and she was opening the door since he was pretty much holding you up. He guided you up into the truck and made sure you were buckled in and then shut the door and turned to Angela.
“I shouldn’t be telling you this but that girl has had a crush on you since you both got out of the academy. She literally would drop everything for you and you know it and I know you too. It hurts her every time you go out with someone because she wishes that it was her.” She said and he shook his head.
“That’s not true.” He said and she shook her head. “No, she doesn’t. We’re just very good friends.” He said and she shook her head.
“Whatever, just get her home safely.” Angela said and turned back and walked back into the bar.
Tim got into the truck. He looked over at you and you were sound asleep and he smiled. He put the truck into drive and headed to your apartment. It was a silent ride to your apartment and when he got there. He pulled into a parking spot next to your car and got the truck parked and killed the engine. Then he was walking over to the passenger’s and opened it and unbuckled your seatbelt and gently got you and carried you. When he got to the front door, he grabbed his keys and found your key and unlocked the door. Yes, he had a key to your place and you had a key to his place. He unlocked the door and shut it going straight to your bedroom. He gently laid you down and pulled off your shoes and then covered you up. He walked into the kitchen and grabbed some Tylenol and a bottle of Gatorade and then walked into your office and wrote a note then, he walked it to your room and sat it on the nightstand. He grabbed your phone and plugged it in and then left.
The next morning you woke up to your phone alarm blaring and your head was pounding and you were hung over. You turned over to shut it off and then noticed the note along with the Gatorade and Tylenol.
Take these and drink all of the Gatorade. It’ll help.
-Tim
You smiled and took the Tylenol and drank the Gatorade as you got ready for the day. By the time you were leaving all of it was gone and you were feeling better. You walked out to your car and got into your car and then you were off to work. You saw Tim’s truck and smiled but then you decided to park next to Nolan’s and got you and walked into the precinct. You greeted everyone and headed to the locker room where you quickly got changed and then walked into the briefing room, it was mostly full and few seats left. Tim noticed you walked in and smiled and motioned to the open seat next to him but you bowed your head and decided to sit next to Smitty of all people and that made him frown, you always sat beside him. Sergeant Grey walked in and started the briefing and then when he was done you shot out of there in a hurry before Tim had even gotten a chance to come and say hi or ask you how you were feeling.
Lately you had noticed him going on more dates and being happy and that was killing you on the inside. So, you started to distance yourself from him. At first it was making excuses when he asked to hang out and then not answering his every phone call, or hardly texting him and when you text back you would send a short or one worded answer. You even started to take separate lunches or take yours to go. It saddened him that you were pulling away but he didn’t let it show and that upset you, it was like he didn’t even care.
Lucy and he did catch up to you when you were getting your bags and stuff “Hey, Y/N.” Tim said and you tensed and turned to him.
“Oh, hey.” You said
“How are you feeling?” He asked
“Fine.” You said and then grabbed your stuff and you were heading to your shop.
“Hey, are you free tonight? There is a movie out that I thought we could see together.” Tim asked
“No, sorry. I have plans.” You said and then you were gone before he could get another word out.
Once you were alone out on the streets you were fine and actually happy. You answered calls here and there and they were mostly easy. There were a few that you had to take in and there were a few traffic stops. It was nearing lunch time and you dreaded it. You pulled over into a parking lot when you saw your phone light up and buzz. You looked at it and saw a few missed calls from Tim but you were busy during that time and a few texts from him. You sighed and debated if you wanted lunch but then your stomach growled and you groaned and put your shop into drive and headed to the usual lunch place. You parked and got out and headed that way you saw Tim and smiled but it quickly faded when a girl came up to him and kissed him. You caught the eye of Angela and Talia when Tim broke apart from the girl, he followed their eyes and saw you and his heart sank. Lunch be damned, you would eat later, you need to talk to Wade. You turned back to your shop and was off before he could even get up or say anything.
You arrived back at the precinct and parked your shop in the bay and then you were walking into the building and heading to Wade’s office. When you got there you knocked on the door and he looked up and waved you in “Officer Y/L/N, what can I do for you?” He asked and you sighed.
“You know that I’ve been getting offers from the FBI in Quantico, VA specifically from the BAU.” You said and he nodded.
“I do. What is this about?” He asked
“As much as this pains me to say, I want to take their offer and transfer.” You said and he nodded.
“Are you for sure you want to do this?” He asked and you nodded.
“Very sure, sir.” You said and your phone started buzzing but you ignored it.
“Do you want to get that?” He asked and you shook your head.
“No, sir. It can wait.” You said and he nodded.
“I’ll start putting the request in. I’ll be sad when you leave, you’re one of my best officers. I just want you to know that if you ever want to come back you always have a place right here with us.” He said and you nodded smiling.
“Thank you, sir.” You said and he smiled and you left his office running into Angela.
“Hey, what were you talking to Wade about?” She asked
“I asked for the transfer.” You said and she was shocked.
“Seriously?” She asked and you nodded.
“I need to get out of here.” You said and she nodded.
“Is this about Tim?” She asked and you didn’t say anything but she knew her answer and smiled “I get it. I’m gonna miss you when you go.” She said and she laughed but hugged you.
“I’m gonna miss you too.” You said and then you broke apart and then you saw Tim and he was looking at you but you said nothing and walked back to your shop to continue your shift.
This was the right move for you and your career. Right?
——————————————————————
The end of everyone’s shift was nearing and everyone couldn’t wait to be home. There was something that Sergeant Grey was needing to talk to Tim about and requested him to meet in his office. So that was where he was going now. He knocked on the door and was waved in. “Officer Bradford, I want to talk about you taking the sergeants exam.” Wade said and Tim nodded.
“Yes, I’ve been studying for it.” He said and Wade nodded. Tim was looking at him and then something caught his eye. Something that had your name on it. He focused on it more and saw it was a transfer request to the FBI and his heart sank. He knew that you had been getting offers but didn’t actually think you would take it. They finished their talk but all he could think about was those transfer papers and why he didn’t hear about it from you. Wade dismissed him and he left. As he was leaving, he ran into Talia.
“You got any plans for tonight?” She asked
“Yea, I have another date.” Tim said not knowing you had heard him and not knowing how bad your heart was breaking. He did have a date but now he wanted to go to your place and find out why you were transferring. The shift ended and everyone got changed and was heading out the precinct he caught you walking with Nolan and laughing with him and his heart pinged with jealousy. Then he noticed that your car wasn’t near his when it normally was. Something was wrong and he was going to find out.
He did end up going on the date but that transfer request was just burning in his mind. He apologized to Teresa and she asked if she would be seeing him again and he said no and then he was off heading to your apartment. He drove like mad until he reached your place and parked in a parking spot, once he killed the engine he was storming up to the apartment and knocking.
——————————————————————
Knocking is what woke you up and you groaned but got up and grabbed a silk robe and slipped it over your silk nightgown. “Hold on, I’m coming.” You said but the knocking persisted. “Hold on, geez.” You said unlocking the door and opening “What-” You began but saw it was Tim “Tim? It’s late. What are you doing here?” You asked.
“You’re transferring?” He asked in a stern slightly higher pitched voice.
“What are you talking about?” You asked, still half asleep.
“Your transfer request to the FBI. I saw it on Sergeant Wade’s desk. Why?” He asked
“You.” You said
“Me?” He asked
“Yes you. Damn it can’t you see? I’m in love with you! I have been ever since we got out of the academy together. Then you go off and date and it kills me. I know it’s selfish but I couldn’t stand for you to be happy with anyone else but me.” You said and he didn’t say anything instead he crashed his lips into yours and kissed you fiercely. He backed you into the apartment and shut the door and then turned you until your back hit the door. You two broke apart when air was needed.
“I’ve wanted to do that ever since I met you.” He said and then crashed lips into yours and then he was slipping your silk robe off your shoulders revealing your very revealing nightgown he broke the kiss and looked down “Damn you are sexy.” He said and was tapping your thighs and you jumped up and wrapped your legs around him and then he was taking you both to your bedroom. He gently laid you down and quickly got rid of his shirt. He grabbed the hem of your nightgown and looked at you and you nodded and he was slowly peeling it off of you until it was off revealing you weren’t wearing a bra and that made him moan. Your nipples got hard as rocks when air hit them, he admired them and then he was taking a nipple into his mouth and sucking on it, making you mona. His right hand came up to play with your other breast and his left hand was caressing your side. Once he was satisfied with the treatment of your left breast and nipple, he popped off of it and gave your other breast the same attention. Again, once he was satisfied, he popped off of it and then was standing up and getting rid of his jeans and boxers and his hard length came up and slapped him in the stomach.
“I need you.” You said and he nodded and was crawling back up to you and slowly taking your underwear off and adding it to the pile of clothing already growing. He moved in between your thighs and licked a broad strip up your folds and you jumped but moaned.
“So wet for me and I hardly did anything.” He said, smirking.
“Need you now.” You moaned and looked as he did it again and bit your clit.
“You got it, Baby.” He said and moved up to where he was now face to face with you and kissed you. You could taste yourself on him and you could feel him at the entrance. He grabbed his cock and looked you in the eyes “You ready? Tell me to stop if you need to.” He asked and you nodded and he pushed himself into you and you both moaned.
“Oh, Tim!” You moaned out not even trying to be quiet, neighbors be damned.
“So tight. It was like you were made for me.” He moaned out and started to thrust in and out of you. He stretched you in all the right places and hit you places that you didn’t know that could be hit. He hit you g-spot just right.
“Faster, Baby. Faster.” You moaned out and he nodded and did as he was told and it just brought another wave of pleasure to you. “So good.” You moaned out and his face went into the crook of his neck and he attacked it with kisses and sucked on it. His arms caged you in and your ankles locked behind him making him go deeper. Your hands went to his shoulder blades and your fingers dug into them and then he hit your g-spot and bit your pulse point. Your nails raked down his back leaving long angry red scratch marks in their wake. He hissed into your neck but he did not let up. “‘M close.” You said and he brought his head up from your neck.
“Me too, Baby. Me too.” He said and that just spurred him on to go faster. One hand went down to your clit and started to rub it, getting you closer to your climax. “Cum with me.” He said and then he pinched your clit and then that rubber band snapped and you came hard. You squeezed him and that made his thrusts irregular and the snapping of his hips into your hips came to a halt as you both moaned and he painted your walls white.
After you both came down from your high you unlocked your ankles and he fell to the side of you onto his back. You ended up lying on his chest tracing shapes and he cuddled you close to him as he covered you both up. “Don’t leave.” He said and you looked up at him.
“Hmm?” You asked in confusion.
“The transfer, cancel it. You belong here with me. I only went on those dates to get rid of my feelings for you and each time I went on them I wished it was you. I love you and have loved you since we graduated from the academy together. I was too stupid to see what it was doing to you and I’m sorry for that.” He said and you smiled.
“I’ll cancel the request to transfer.” You said
“I want you to be my girl and my only girl. What I’m asking is will you be my girlfriend?” He asked and you smiled and looked up at him.
“I thought you would never ask. Of course I’ll be your girlfriend.” You said and he smiled “I love you.” You added.
“I love you too.” He said and you both kissed each other and then you resumed your position and you both fell asleep with a smile on your face.
Both of you were happy and finally got what you wanted and that was each other.

THAT’S THAT ME ESPRESSO (TTME)
Chapter 6- Apologies ☕️
You’ve woken up to the sounds of the birds chirping and the morning sun peaking in through the windows. You would’ve loved waking up in the giant room provided by Ayaka, if only you weren’t so violently hung over.
The feeling of being incredibly nauseous while remembering some of the memories from last night, started hitting you like a semi truck.
Why did you have to drink so much? You’re never drinking again.
You always say this but never actually stick through with your word.
You loved being drunk but hated the consequences that come the next morning. Your phone was buzzing with new messages. Have you always hated the sounds of notifications? Or was it the headache talking? Annoyed, you checked your phone.
Bergrudgingly, you got up. As soon as you stood up however, you felt like you needed to throw up.
Quickly, you rushed to the toilet. Expecting for something to come out. Nothing did.
“I hate being hungover.” You quickly muttered before making your way to the dining room.
You noticed everyone had arrived before you. They all looked like shit. Including you. Mona was in deep explanation of how she read Yae’s birthchart. Apparently the woman has a lot of baggage.
You sat down in between Hu Tao and Mona.
Ayaka handed you a bowl of miso soup, “It’s for your hangover. You look rough.” She smiles.
You quietly thank her. The miso soup looks good but were you able to eat this without throwing it back up? You took your chances and fed yourself.
Luckily you didn’t.
Before you could finish the soup, Hu Tao turned towards you.
“So are you going to explain what happened last night?” She questioned.
You cleared your throat and explained your experience at the party. From start to finish. Everyone had listened intently to your story. Someone would occasionally gasp.
.
.
.
“Well he sure does know how to act like he cares about someone.” Mona mentioned. Scaramouche is actually a good actor.
It seems like he practiced on you the most.
As you were showing the group the texts you sent to Scaramouche and Childe, your phone buzzed. It was a text from Childe. Everyone began freaking out.
“Shit what do I say??” You were panicking because you didn’t really expect him to answer.
“Maybe an apology?” Lynette suggested.
So fucking annoying.
He’s so fucking annoying.
How can he be like this? Why was he being like this? You heavily sighed. The audacity of this man.
Lynette looked up at you, “Is everything alright?”
You put your phone in the middle of the table and stood up.
“Yes. Everything is so perfect.” You replied sarcastically, “Ayaka thank you for the breakfast and sleepover. Have fun everyone reading those stupid ass texts. I’ll be getting ready to leave.”
When the words left your mouth, you walked away and towards the room you were sleeping in.
As you were packing up you heard a knock at the door.
It was Hu Tao. She was returning your phone.
“I’m so sorry Y/n. He’s such a big dick. You don’t deserve this. She pulled you into a hug.
“It’s ok, don’t worry about it. It’s how he is.” You reassured her.
She helped you pack the rest of your stuff.
You then said goodbye to everyone and got inside your car.

Chapter 4
He made it two days.
Even though Cassian had begun texting Nesta immediately, and even though they had gone longer than two days without coffee before, somehow knowing there were no coffee dates in the future made him antsy.
He smiled at Nesta as he sat at an empty booth, watching her flit around. He had done as she instructed, but today seemed to be a particularly busy afternoon. A large group sat in the center, tables pushed together, and Nesta walked around the massive table refilling waters, looking so much more at ease as a server than she had the last time he’d been to the diner. Of course, she had only just started then, so it made sense she’d be comfortable now.
When at last she was done with the party in the center of the room, she went around filling drinks and taking orders for the few other patrons scattered around. Finally, she came over to him.
“I’m so sorry it took me so long to come over. This group showed up thirty minutes before you did.” She sighed. “It’ll be good tip money, but this is usually when I get a chance to eat something.”
Cassian shrugged. “So eat with me now.” He held up a finger when she opened her mouth. “I know you’re busy. I mean just bring yourself a plate of whatever you would have eaten and set it down here. At least then you can take a bite or two when you get a chance.”
She narrowed her eyes in thought, but he could see she liked the idea of getting a meal. “How long are you staying, because it might take awhile before I can sit down.”
“I don’t have anything else to do right now. I brought my stuff to study with so I just planned to sit here for a few hours.”
Cassian’s heart was hammering in his chest, and he hoped Nesta couldn’t see how desperately he wanted to be here, to be around her, even if they weren’t talking. He wasn’t lying. He had brought his stuff to study for his finals, although he already knew he wouldn’t be able to concentrate.
But Nesta didn’t need to know that part.
He tried not to stare when she bit her lip as she considered, his shoulders tight as he waited for her to agree.
“Ok.” She tucked a stray hair back into her braid. “That sounds good actually.”
He told her what he wanted to eat and then pulled out his notes as she walked away to put in his order.
Surprisingly, he was able to concentrate, the ambient noise of the diner helping to keep his mind from wandering as he read through his notes, creating questions in a document to quiz himself with later.
He smiled up at Nesta when she set the food on the table, snagging a french fry as he returned to studying, pausing every few minutes to take another bite of food. When she sat down later, he was surprised to see that almost an hour had passed, and the last of the large party was filtering out the door.
“So did they tip enough to make it worth it?”
She nodded as she stuffed some fries into her mouth, chewing quickly. There were still patrons around, so she wouldn’t be able to sit long.
“Enough that I may finally be able to stop taking the bus.”
Earlier in the semester, her car had broken down and she had been saving money to get it fixed. He had suggested they stop meeting for coffee at the time, but Nesta had said it was the only thing keeping her sane during the semester. He had been tempted to offer to buy her coffee, but had quashed the desire, unwilling to risk her shutting him out again.
“Excellent,” he said, snagging a fry of her plate, grinning when she smacked his hand.
“Keep your hands off my food. Order more if you want, but this is mine.”
He stuffed the cold fry into his mouth. “Fair enough.”
She gulped down half a glass of water and then stood up. “Time to get back to work.”
By the time Nesta finished her food, several hours had passed. She had told him in between bites that she was working a double that day due to having two back-to-back finals tomorrow. He couldn’t help but wonder when she was going to study for them. Eventually the diner started to fill up and Cassian left, not wanting to hog a booth all night when it was Nesta’s livelihood that would suffer.
He skipped the diner the next day, but went back the following, and almost every day after that. After finals were over, Nesta started working doubles again, claiming she wanted to get some money into savings, but he suspected she also wanted to avoid being alone over the holidays.
“Come with me to Mor’s house.”
Nesta chewed her food as she frowned at him. It had become their little routine for her to bring food over to his table to eat whenever she had the time. Eventually she shook her head.
“Thanks for the offer, but I’ll pass.”
He returned her frown. “Why? You’re not working the evening shift that day.”
Unlike most establishments, the diner closed for no holidays and Nesta always worked them because she got paid more, but she had decided not to work a double that day as a present to herself.
“It feels too…coupley.”
Cassian rolled his eyes even as his stomach immediately flipped at the image of them as a real couple. “They’re my friends, not my family.”
Nesta shrugged. “Still. It’ll be weird.” She took a bite of her sandwich, chewed for a couple moments, and then added, “Why aren’t you spending Solstice with your dad?”
Cassian snorted. “Because I’d like to keep my holidays stress free. Also,” she smacked his hand as he stole a fry off her plate, “I haven’t talked to him in a couple years.” He raised his eyebrows at her, daring her to challenge him when he knew she hadn’t seen her family in over two years. He didn’t know why, and she shut down whenever he tried to ask why, but he wasn’t above reminding her if she pushed him to see his dad.
She shrugged, taking another bite of her sandwich. He decided to let the subject drop, if only to avoid having an argument that could lead to her shutting him out.
When Solstice arrived, however, he couldn’t get the image of Nesta spending the holiday alone out of his head. She had said she planned to drink tea and watch movies, but he could have sworn he saw what looked like loneliness in her expression. He knew it was a calculated risk to show up at her apartment, given their rule about not being alone together, but he couldn’t stand the idea of not at least trying to get her to come with him to his friend’s house.
Also, he had bought her a gift that he had considered returning about every hour on the hour since he purchased it, but when he had seen the leather-bound gold leaf copy of Pride and Prejudice, he hadn’t been able to stop himself from walking into the bookstore and buying it. Besides, it wasn’t as if he’d spent the money for a first edition. Had it cost more than he could reasonably afford? Maybe. But Nesta didn’t need to know that.
He kept the book tucked into the inside of his jacket as he ascended the stairs, wiping his sweaty palms on his jeans. He took a step back after knocking, debating the merits of reminding Nesta she should lock the door to the stairwell as well as her front door as Nesta’s footsteps neared.
Her frown morphed into surprise when she saw him standing there.
“What are you doing here?” she asked, crossing her arms. He considered himself lucky that she didn’t also look irritated.
“I came to take you to Mor’s with me,” Cassian said, stuffing his hands in his pockets as he leaned against the wall with his feet crossed, trying to appear more at ease than he felt. His heart was hammering in his chest as she exhaled through her nose, her lips thinning.
“I told you I wasn’t going.”
He sighed. “I don’t like the idea of you being alone.” He held up a hand when she opened her mouth. “I know you said you don’t mind, but consider it a favor to me.” He swallowed as he reached into his pocket to pull out the book and held it out to her. “It can be your present to me.” He cleared his throat. “I can’t wrap for shit, so uh,” he held it closer to her, “here.”
Nesta’s face was blank as she stared at the book. “What is this?”
He willed his voice to remain nonchalant as he said, “A present.” When she didn’t say anything else he added, “It’s not a big deal. I just saw it and thought of you.”
His heart dropped when she looked up at him and he saw the sadness in her eyes. He quickly put the book back in his jacket. “Forget it. I shouldn’t have gotten it.”
“Cassian—”
He took a step back until the heels of his shoes hit the edge of the top step. “It’s fine. We can just pretend this didn’t happen.”
When he saw her straighten her spine, he turned, trying to avoid what he knew was coming. Stupid. He had been monumentally stupid.
“Cassian—”
He hurried down the stairs. “Sorry, I should get going. Happy Solstice.”
He didn’t give her a chance to respond as he flew out the door, his heart hammering in his chest as he jogged towards his car. When he reached it, he sent her a quick text.
It was dumb for me to come over. Let’s just pretend it didn’t happen.
He drove the two hours to Mor’s house, not daring to glance at his phone. When he arrived, he sat for a couple minutes before finally opening his messages.
She hadn’t responded.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nesta spent the rest of Solstice alternating between pretending to watch a movie and staring at Cassian’s last message.
It was dumb for me to come over. Let’s just pretend it didn’t happen.
Cassian’s gift had made her heart stop. She had mentioned once that Pride and Prejudice was her favorite classic novel, but it had been months ago. The copy he had held out to her had been gorgeous, but she felt as if accepting it would have blurred the lines of their friendship.
As it was, she was barely managing to keep her rising feelings at bay. Cassian was so thoughtful and sweet and had respected all of her boundaries without pushing her about them. She wasn’t blind. She could see the feelings he tried so hard to hide from her, feelings she was now realizing she might return.
And that thought terrified her. She couldn’t afford to let herself love Cassian. It was too risky. She could never let someone hold the power to destroy her life the way her mother’s death had destroyed her father, destroyed their whole family.
But equally terrifying was the idea of cutting herself off from Cassian again. It hadn’t been easy the first time, but at least then she had only known him for a few weeks. Now she had come to rely on his friendship to help stave off the loneliness of her self-imposed exile from her family.
It was dumb for me to come over. Let’s just pretend it didn’t happen.
Maybe if they just pretend nothing happened, then things could return to how they’d been. So, she didn’t respond.
The next morning she woke to a meme from Cassian and breathed a sigh of relief, sending over her usual eye roll emoji.
They could recover from this.
She had another double shift that day, so she rolled out of bed and slid on her uniform, stuffing a stale muffin into her mouth as she walked down the stairs to the diner.
Post-holiday shoppers were out in force that day so the diner was busy all day. She found her gaze darting to the door every time it opened and knew who she was hoping to see. She shoved down her disappointment when at the end of her second shift she realized that Cassian hadn’t come in to see her that day. She also shoved down the dread that things were ruined between them as she trudged up the stairs, her feet aching.
No matter how many times she worked a double, sixteen hours on her feet were killer. She wondered how much she would hate herself tomorrow if she gave up an hour of sleep in favor of soaking in a hot bath. But when she walked through the door and saw her bed, she decided a hot bath could wait until her last double at the end of the week, peeling off her clothes and falling into bed in her underwear.
She was asleep before she could remember to check her phone.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Cassian dreaded seeing Nesta again, worried she’d be cold and distant, but he knew if he didn’t return to the diner, they were definitely doomed. So he took a deep breath and opened the door.
Seeing Nesta was like a punch to the gut. Maybe it was because it had been four days since the disastrous Solstice—the longest he’d gone without seeing her in months—but her beauty took his breath away.
He forced a smile on his face as she saw him, her expression brightening as she gestured for him to find an empty seat. He sat down, something loosening in his chest at the genuine happiness he caught in her expression before she turned to continue serving patrons. He played around on his phone to keep himself from staring at her until she came over and plunked a glass of water in front of him.
“Hey,” he said, pretending he wasn’t nervous.
“Hey,” she said, softer than she usually did. She tucked a stray hair back into the braided crown on her head. She paused, opened her mouth, and then shook her head before saying, “what can I get you?”
He debated for a moment whether to ask her what she was going to say, but decided to pretend he hadn’t seen anything and gave her his usual order. She nodded and went to put his, and hopefully her, order in.
He loosed a breath. They could recover from this. At the very least she didn’t seem ready to cut him out of her life again. Perhaps this had been good. A good reminder that he had to respect her boundaries. He couldn’t push her into things she didn’t want and he had been stupid to try.
His heart squeezed painfully at the reminder of how slow he had to take things, that he may never get to love her the way he wanted to, but he quickly shoved those concerns aside. He would rather spend the rest of his life pining over Nesta than live without her. He’d already tried living without her and he hadn’t enjoyed it. And he had hardly known her then. He didn’t know how he’d manage it now that she had become such an important person in his daily life.
He grinned at her when she set down two plates, happy things were returning to normal. He turned his attention to his food to hide how pleased he was as Nesta grabbed a french fry and then went back to work. They would recover from this.
He went every day for the rest of their break from school, dreading when classes would start back up and they’d both be busy. He had been able to take time off from his part time job to unwind before he had to get back to full time classes plus work—plus whatever time he could carve out with Nesta. If he hadn’t been stuck in a lease, he might have even tried finding an apartment closer, if only to make it easier for him to get to the diner.
The week classes started was crazy, especially when one of the mechanics at the shop he worked at called out sick the whole week and it was down to Cassian to cover him. Even if he had wanted to make the drive across town to Nesta’s diner, he didn’t have the time.
The following week wasn’t any better, flu season now in full swing and his boss expecting Cassian to fill in whenever he could. It was so bad that it was only on pain of quitting that his boss stopped asking him to skip his classes.
He kept up a steady stream of texts with Nesta, letting her know why he wasn’t coming to the diner, but even so, he missed her. He knew better than to tell her that, so instead he sent her crass memes, chuckling with every eye roll she sent him.
Finally, a full month after classes started, Cassian found himself opening the door to the diner. Nesta beamed—or at least what passed as beaming for Nesta—and Cassian grinned back at her as he took a seat in his usual booth. It was later than he usually came, so the diner was already starting to swell with the dinner crowd, but he didn’t care. Even if he and Nesta didn’t get the chance to say two words to one another, he felt more relaxed than he had in a month just being near her.
Indeed, she didn’t even get a chance to eat the meal she sat in front of him, hardly able to snag more than a few french fries as she milled around the diner. Not for the first time he wondered why the owner didn’t hire more people since the diner was always busy. He knew she could afford it, and could only assume she was taking advantage of Nesta’s need for money.
It was an effort not to say something to the old woman when she waltzed in after dinner and went to her office in the back. He already knew how Nesta would handle him talking to her boss, but the urge to sacrifice his friendship with Nesta in favor of her not working herself ragged was strong.
As the semester wore on, they settled back into their easy friendship, as if Solstice had never happened, and for that Cassian was grateful. It was a concerted effort on his part to not show up at that diner every single day, even on the days he worked after class.
He didn’t even try to pretend with himself anymore that he wasn’t hopelessly in love with her. He didn’t even think it was the soulmate bond between them that was to blame. He knew there was no way to test the theory, but he was certain that had they met any other way, he still would have fallen hopelessly in love with her.
It was difficult, however, to keep his feelings from Nesta. She sometimes caught him staring and gave him a funny look as he quickly made his expression neutral. Sometimes he thought she might even share his feelings. He’d noticed her expression softening when she looked at him, when she thought he wasn’t paying attention.
It gave him hope, however slim, that maybe they weren’t doomed to remain platonic for the rest of their lives. Maybe whatever had happened in Nesta’s past had spooked her. Maybe she just needed the time to feel secure in her feelings before allowing herself to love. He could—would—wait for her. It was already abundantly clear to him that there would be no one else.
Ever.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
The realization hit her three days into summer vacation, settling like a stone in the pit of her stomach. She put a hand to her mouth against the rising nausea.
She was in love with Cassian.
She started panting, her breaths coming in short bursts as her anxiety rose.
“Nesta?” Cassian frowned, concern marring his expression as he sat across from her.
Nesta rose quickly, “I need to use the restroom.”
She turned, pretending she didn’t see the empty water glasses that needed refilling as she headed back toward the bathroom, locking herself in a stall and leaning her forehead against the door.
In retrospect, she had likely been in love with Cassian for months. How could she not be? He wasn’t just her soulmate, he was her best friend.
This was a disaster.
She couldn’t fall in love.
She had to—
She squeezed her eyes shut tight against the horrendous thought that had been about to force its way out. She couldn’t do it. She couldn’t go back to a life without friends. Cassian was the bright spot in her otherwise dreary life.
Can you afford to let him have the power to destroy you?
Her traitorous mind reminded her of just why she had insisted on so many rules for hanging out with Cassian. Although, as it turned out, the rules were pointless because she had fallen in love with him anyway.
The memory of her father’s blank eyes, of her sisters and her trying to get him to come out of his room, to eat, to go to work, holding meetings and deciding they would have to get jobs if they didn’t want to lose their home, all came crashing down on her like a bucket of ice water.
She had to end it.
She felt her heart cracking at the thought, but knew it was better to break her heart now than to risk utter ruination later in life. She straightened, taking a shuddering breath in an attempt to strengthen her resolve.
She swallowed hard, eyes closing briefly as she willed her blood into ice, and then opened the door and walked back to Cassian. She didn’t sit as she asked if he could stay until the end of her shift.
She went back to work, purposely keeping herself busy so she wouldn’t be tempted to go sit for a few moments with Cassian. She already knew that if she did, her resolve would crack even further than it already had.
When her shift was over, she took her time cashing out, dread filling every pore of her body at what she was about to do. When she could no longer find things to keep her from leaving, she walked over to the booth.
“Come outside?” she asked, keeping her eyes averted.
Cassian paused a moment before saying, “Of course.”
She turned and walked out the door, stopping by the door to her apartment as Cassian trailed behind her, his expression guarded.
“Nesta, whatever you’re going to say, don’t.”
She closed her eyes as the crack in her heart grew. “We can’t see each other anymore.”
When Cassian didn’t respond, she opened her eyes. His face was pale and his eyes wide. “Why?” he asked, his voice breaking.
“One of my rules was broken,” Nesta said, hugging herself against the desire to take it back, tears already pricking at her eyes.
Cassian shook his head. “No. I’ve been careful to follow them all. Just tell me what happened and I’ll fix it. If this is about Solstice—”
“It’s not you,” she interrupted, swiping at a stray tear. “It’s me. I broke a rule.”
Cassian just stared at her, still shaking his head. Before he could respond, she turned around, intending to go inside her apartment to cry in peace. She stopped when a hand gripped her shoulder.
“Wait.”
Nesta froze, but didn’t turn around, knowing what Cassian’s next question would be.
“What rule did you break?”
She didn’t answer, but her silence must have confirmed his suspicions because his next words were. “How can you throw away happiness like this?” His words weren’t accusatory, his tone sad.
“Nesta, I love you.”
She squeezed her eyes shut as more tears leaked out of her eyes, a part of her jumping for joy that he returned her feelings.
“I know something happened when you were younger,” Cassian started, sliding his hand down to grip her hand, “and I haven’t pushed you to tell me about it, not just because I don’t want to push you, but also because whatever it was was clearly traumatic and you deserve to tell your story on your time.” He squeezed her hand. “But I’m begging you, please don’t shut me out.” He voice cracked again on the last word.
When she still said nothing—barely holding herself together as it was—he continued. “If you want to take a step back, maybe spend less time together, I-I’m willing to do that. I don’t want to lose you.” His final words were whispered, and her already broken heart broke even further.
She had spent so much time guarding her own heart that she hadn’t realized she should have been guarding Cassian’s as well. She should never have let things get this far. She had never wanted to hurt him, especially now that he was her best friend.
She slid her hand free from his. Turning the doorknob, keeping her back to him, she said, “If you love me at all, you’ll leave me alone.” She gulped. “I-I won’t block your number, but I don’t want you to text me. I can’t—” she stopped to swallow when her voice cracked with emotion. “I can’t let our friendship continue.” She gripped the handle of the door as she said, “Goodbye, Cassian.”
Without waiting for a response, Nesta hurried through the door, locking it shut behind her for once and leaning against it, finally letting the flood of tears fall silently down her face as Cassian pleaded with her through the door.
When she couldn’t take it any longer, his emotional pleas cracking her resolve, she shoved off the door and plodded up the stairs, suddenly very tired. She didn’t bother with dinner, pulling off her clothes, getting in bed, and pulling the covers over her head.
~~~~~~~~~
Cassian felt like the world was falling apart around him, a roaring in his ears as Nesta closed the door behind him. He knew she was still there, perhaps some near dormant part of the soulmate bond telling him, so he pleaded. He wasn’t above making a fool of himself if it meant he could keep Nesta from destroying what they have together.
Forget that he was in love with her, forget that she was his soulmate, she was his best friend. She had become the most important person in his life and he’d be damned if he gave that up without a fight.
After twenty minutes of pleading, ignoring the looks of passersby, he decided to leave for now, to regroup.
He immediately called Azriel, who answered after two rings.
“I know I said I wanted to give Nesta privacy, and I still do. I don’t want you to tell me everything. I just need to know if you know why she is so scared of having a soulmate.”
Azriel was quiet, although Cassian knew he was just thinking over his answer. “Are you sure you want to know?”
Cassian hesitated a moment. “Don’t tell me everything. Just maybe the stuff important to soulmates and why she doesn’t want one.”
Azriel kept his answer succinct. “Her parents were soulmates and by all accounts had a terrible marriage. When her mom died, her dad was broken. Lost his job because he never showed up. Nesta and her sisters all had to work full time jobs in high school to keep their house.”
Cassian’s already broken heart broke further. “And now she thinks her parents being soulmates is the reason her life was so difficult,” he said, mostly to himself.
Azriel hmm’d his agreement. “It would make sense.”
Cassian rubbed his fingers over his eyes. “Thanks for letting me know.”
They hung up and Cassian sat in his car, staring at nothing as he processed this new insight into Nesta. No wonder she was so worried about falling in love, why her first instinct at realizing she loved him—and he knew that was the cause for this—was to cut him out of her life.
He was glad he hadn’t met her father, although he was tempted to drive to him now to chew him out for letting three teenage girls work themselves to death. He could certainly understand the devastation her father must have felt, regardless of the state of their marriage, when his wife died, but Cassian could not understand letting your daughters suffer.
A horrible realization came to him as he sat there. He had to let Nesta go. He wanted to fight for her, and maybe he was wrong and he should fight for her, but he had a feeling, regardless of how much it hurt both him and her, that what Nesta truly needed was to feel in control of her life.
It was why she’d left home as soon as she legally could, why she worked so hard, both at her job and at school. Her early life had been chaotic and now she wanted order.
He swallowed and pulled out his phone, typing a single sentence and hitting send.
I promise I won’t text you again after this, but I want you to know I’ll always be here for you if you need me.

July 22nd - 28th - Toronto / ([ˈtɹɒnoʊ]) /Terannō & "The Food City"
When I was a small child, my parents took my sister and I to Niagara Falls. It might be my earliest memory, as my mom claims that I was either just barely or not yet three. I can remember, faintly, the family in ponchos my dad kept in the Astro van's back seat glove (?) compartment from Disney World (which, I think, insinuates that either my Aunt Laura bought us Disney-themed ponchos for a trip to the Great White North, or my family had already spent money to take me to Disney world even though my little play-doh ball of a brain wasn’t in the business of forming lasting memories, yet). I recall my father lifting me up, Simba-on-Pride-Rock Style, and the water from the falls reaching what felt like miles away across the roaring gap and the plexiglass railing to splash me.
I remember in my youth thinking of this memory with a bitter sense of betrayal. Human shield! To keep him dry! But as an adult I find the image in its own way a little funny. I’m sure my jelly-sticky hands were pressed to that plexiglass, watching the water drip down. My sister, tall for seven and a half, probably had her chin on the smooth aluminum of the barrier. I can’t help but think I surely laughed before I cried, as three-year-olds can do in a turn. Joy veering into terror and back into joy again.
Perhaps that’s why I was a little disappointed that Toronto was less… emotional? I suppose I wasn’t looking to be moved by a city truly only just over the border from my home country… but Mexico felt like something distinct despite the southeastern United States also being Mexico for so long. I kept looking for the slight identity of Canada that deviated from the US, something beyond All Dressed Lays chips and the sticker shock of the Canadian Dollar. I wasn’t going to see it with my eyes.
I was going to feel it in their kitchen.
I feel like trying to describe what Toronto the City felt like is going to be like trying to describe a lesser-known band’s sound with other lesser-known band names as descriptors: unhelpful and--even if you did know what I was talking about (because you’re also so cool)--likely pretty reductive. I was there for a week. And working remotely during the day—so I didn’t even get the dopamine hit of trouncing around a novel landscape, free from the binds of my daily grind.
But! I feel confident in describing the food culture of the ~3-mile radius in which we stayed, as I made sure my mother and my sister came with me to hell-and-gone to eat and drink our way around town.
I was told Toronto was a Food City™ which, yeah—ok—what major cultural hub isn’t? NYC is a “Food City.” San Francisco is a “Food City.” New Orleans wouldn’t forgive you if you left it off of the list. Los Angeles would like to have a word. I think I’ve always taken this descriptor to be “you have a lot to choose from.” Living in Pittsburgh (and hearing some people attempt to also describe it as a Food City, which, like, bless you, but you’re wrong) I’ve come to understand the value of this. I really can’t get high-brow Mexican food at the drop of a hat anymore. The sushi of Pittsburgh, PA quivers in the enormous, crushing shadow of the Thai that dots the pizza-slice. I won’t contest that Pittsburgh has good food. Certainly, don’t sleep on Apteka, The Vandal, Morcilla, Pierogi Palace—but you’re not rolling in off of the sidewalk to be wowed by every establishment you hole up in. And frankly, Stinky’s pub doesn’t really need to serve anything more than dumpster nachos to be worth the visit.
But this is not in defense of Pitty! Come to town, I’ll show you around. I know more than enough to make it worth your time. This is intended to do a little bit of smithing on the digram: Food City.
New York has its fair share of junk places. I ran into plenty of grimy, middling donut joints in Los Angeles (whilst searching for the good ones). San Francisco is notoriously hit-or-miss. And Toronto of course has its own spots hamming it up for the occasional tourist. But Toronto’s food scene felt like it had deep heart in ways that the most stunning of establishments in many cities I had visited before in the US had not managed, despite Toronto being, for all intents and purposes, incredibly American (minus the metric system, which… well, I’m coming around but I don’t want to talk about it). The city had captured something from its European predecessors that Americans dropped on the ground when we started outsizing the value of things beyond the dinner table: a way that the feeling of being/eating/drinking in a restaurant was more than the sum of its parts.
I have a thrill in a new city of following an industry-rabbit down a hole: Where does the bartender at this quirky dive get breakfast? Where does the woman putting salsa on my burrito eat lunch when she’s sick of eating burritos? Does the barista putting chocolate milk in my cappuccino have opinions on the neighborhood I’m three blocks over from? In some places, this can be a dead end (especially in places with a troubling wage or class disparity… because it means the people who are serving you don’t eat where they work, sometimes), and you must be a judge of more than just taste when talking to people giving you recommendations—an entirely separate skill I certainly haven’t mastered. But! People who work in the food I like, if they can swing it, are as hooked as I am on the intoxication of a good haunt.
And Toronto is full of them. While many of them came as advertisements from the industry humans that float among them, some of them were so easy to pick out from the street I kept holding my breath waiting to be disappointed by the subtle cues that usually indicate a place is worth eating in: People dwelling at empty tables over an already paid bill. Maybe someone actually thought about the art that’s on the walls. If they gave up on the décor, they’d didn’t chintz on the wine glasses. They have a gin on the shelf I couldn’t find in an airport lounge. Somehow everyone who works there looks like they’ve always worked there.
Even the greasy spoons were not hard to spot, because it felt like the people of Toronto cared about them, too. Every place we ate or drank, we shouldered our way up to bars or were tucked into corners from the traffic of locals and tourists alike. Refreshingly, we had servers unabashedly tell us what to dodge on some menus, what everyone ordered but they didn’t think was very good, what they had a hand in creating, what they kept trying to kick off the menu, but the regulars kept dragging it back in like a dead cat.
Canadians are in some ways, fiercely practical, and unlike some cities in America that feel eager to have immigrants assimilate and adjust their dishes for a more homogenous palate, the places that stuck out were run by very recent immigrants, or immigrants that never saw the value in doing anything but highlighting or reinventing their unique dishes with ingredients they could never get their hands on (or get away with combing) in their countries of origin.
I had crème brulee with caviar dotting the surface and fatty duck salted, cured, and sliced like salami. We tasted ravioli made with tomato puree and spinach puree, separated only by the pasta’s seal and raw cacao nibs were sprinkled over the foam of my mocha to bring a bitter crunch to the usually-too-sweet drink. I had hot. Apple. Pie. With. Gruyere. Grated. Over. The. Top. IN FRONT OF MEEE!
Some of the innovations made me feel stupid. Of course Lillet Blanc made an incredible spritzer with black berries. Yeah, actually, spicy cajun brisket and pickled carrots do go in bahn mi. Why hadn’t I wrapped a whole-ass shrimp in egg-roll skin and deep fried it in one go? Or made “ribs” with corn, elote style?
Maybe we had gotten lucky, perhaps we had chosen well, and not every dish was amazing in every establishment, but every place we managed to stumble into felt like it was working to make more than it had been given. Though Toronto is not the land for street fashion or incredible scenic views, it more than makes up for it with the way they’ll make your plate. I will be delighted when I get to reprise the role of Pac-Man in that city on the lake, some day, soon.
Find all the places we ate here and play along at home.

Fic Updates
Ok, I have been beaten into submission by my therapist. I will start writing again even if everything I write is horrid trash and worse than anything a two year old could come up with.
Whole Again: Under major construction! I need to overhaul this thing in many different ways before I can give it the ending (and sequel) it deserves. I have completely lost track of the plot (not that there was a real plot to begin with) and need to try and work in an actual connecting thread into what already exists. Which means I’ll be adding, subtracting and rearranging some of the text. Actively changing. As in every day or so something will change.
In for a Penny In For a Pound: Chapter 5 is missing. I have no Earthly idea where this chapter came from because it does not exist anywhere on my computer, external hard drive or anywhere else I keep digital media. It’s just GONE. Which means I’ll be copying it from AO3 to actually do anything about it. It’s supposed to be a shorter one; mayyyybe like 4 or 5 more chapters. Its on the docket.
What We’re Left; To Carry On: Yup, this one too. Don’t know when I’ll work on it. I’ll probably jump around and add to everything a little at a time. This one is a bit easier to work on because I have things actually planned out. Unfortunately, I have been infected with “Old Man brain rot” and have smothered my Stan Plush in hugs. This one may be slower to update.
Original Works
So I’m also working on some OG stuff
Heir of Gardatia: This is the first “novel” I ever started. Came up with the idea in middle school and have been “working on it” (cough, daydreaming) ever since. Yes, that makes this damn thing officially old enough to drink. This one too, but this one is unlikely to actually see the light of day until its in a condition to show a publisher.
The Good Samaritan: Whoof, this one is straight outta the archives. Short story very heavily inspired by Steven King. I don’t even know If I have a hard copy of this one anywhere, I might have to start over. But the concept is rock solid and I know the plot from beginning to end. I just need to get it on paper.
Eat Your Heart Out Dante: Based on a trippy dream I had in 2020 where I went to Dante’s Hell and could do random shit even though I was supposed to be in level 5. I had an affair with an Angel that had extreme guilt because of the affair and he was eventually reassigned to be my personal babysitter because I kept breaking out and messing with shit. Any who, I actually tried writing this one and its coming along. Got caught up in the specifics and and struggling with the characterization, but I’ll get there.
The Vigil: Also “The Lighthouse” or the “The Keeper” I’m still working out a real title. Another random plot bunny that nested in my grey matter and built a damn fortress. So thing Cthulhu and lovecraftian type thing, only the existential cosmic horror isn’t the monster or the insignificance of humans, but the idea that you have forgotten somthing deeply important to you. You go through your belongings and find things that are familiar, but aren't really yours or that you don’t remember buying. Then more an more things come along to make you think that someone is living in your house and your unaware. Then its fear of dementia or Alzheimer's. Then is that creeping realization that, no, the MOST IMPORTANRT PERSON IN THE WORLD TO YOU has gone missing, you have been looking for them, but you didn’t realize you were or that you even had forgotten they existed until you find them. This one is born from a number of reoccurring nightmares I’ve had that all stem from the theme of forgetting something deeply important not because of Alzheimer's but because I just forgot. “Out of sight, out of mind”. Mainly because cosmic horror gods aren't scary to me. It’s like a nuclear bomb. There is not a damn thing I can do about one if some jackhole points one at my head, so why the hell would I live in fear of it. But forgetting, especially when there isn’t a good reason for it, just my damn ADD, oh, yeah, terrifying as fuck.

figarofabbri:
“Baking and bird watching,” Fig said with a nod, “That’s really cool, would you ever open a bakery? If you haven’t already–or maybe that’s too much info. Your taste in music is great, by the way.” Fig answered. Fig wracked her head for if any of that information tipped her off on who the person might be, when paired with their outfit and size. She still was mostly drawing a blank. For all her thoughts about the girl being so anxious, at the feeling of her hand upon their hip, Fig’s outgoing confidence shifted into something shy, and lost for words for a few seconds. It was easy to be bold, but there was something really, really nice about being sweet. Fig held her breath for a little too long, and hoped her dancing partner would not notice as Fig looked down a bit as well, trying to find their footing, before looking back up, taking a breath, and deciding she’d just follow her lead. It would not be the most graceful dance, but at least she could avoid stepping on toes or ruining shoes.
“It’s complicated.” Fig grimaced a bit at the question. One part of Fig told them not to dig into it, this is a party not a therapy session. The other part of Fig was desperate to finally have someone she could say her worries out loud to, without worrying about their reaction.
“It’s more…..People, usually women, approach me at parties because they wanna make out and stuff, which like, I’m more than happy to, that’s just fun, and I’ve had a few hook ups here and there, and like, I’ll get coffee or drinks with them maybe once or twice after, but it never really goes past that. Usually because it’s one of those, wanting to confirm they like girls before they ask the girl they really want to be with out. Which, glad I’m people’s gay crisis and helping so many couples get together, but…..I do deep down kind of hope that one day someone will ask me for coffee before the party even happens, or even after the party and then we just keep getting coffee and stuff, hold hands and build blanket forts and watch movies in, go to my sports games-unless they’re on the team…I guess that means they’d be there anyways, late night lattes or tea or hot chocolate while painting or reading, going to concerts and stuff—not just the back seat of my truck. But my therapist is always like ‘You’re only in university and twenty two, two have so much time you’re just a baby” and she’s right but–“ Fig stopped herself, and looked back with embarrassment, "I am rambling way too much, I am SO sorry. I’d say is the whiskey I had earlier but I only had one and it didn’t hit at all so really just this is me….. Kind of really failing at being the cool aloof stranger woof anyways I hope that wasn’t too uncomfortable,” Fig laughed nervously. “Feel free to just ramble if you ever wanna too, like totally ok with that, I’m like SO sorry again. And um, I think it depends. Devil Wears Prada is probably my fave film. But I kinda just like specific movies that like, move me, you know? Not really one genre.”
.
“Thank you. I don’t think I’d open a bakery, I’m much too focused on getting my degree. And later on, I would like to find some job related to my field of study,” Sofia said, carefully avoiding mentioning her specific major. “It’s just a hobby I have. My stepmother says it’s a useful one, since we always have cookies and pastries and the like for guests to have with some tea or coffee... But we don’t have guests at home that often, really. And I usually end up eating them myself." Sofia used to feel quite self-conscious about that. She still did, most often than not, really. “May I ask, do you play sports at Redwood College?” she ventured to say, to get out of her own head.
Dancing a stiff waltz, Sofia took care to keep a respectable distance between herself and the other person, swaying slow enough to give them time to move along at their own pace. She had never lead a dance, and it showed. At least her partner wasn’t rushing her. At least they weren’t huffing in frustration or janking her around and clearing their throat to tell her to hurry up. Little relief, when Sofia herself knew she should have practised before coming. “I’m sorry, it’s been a long time since I’ve danced at all.”
The birdwatcher listened to what the cat-mask person had to say. Her fingers closed just a little tighter in the other’s hand. The experiences were not at all like her own, but there was something in there that she felt very close, and very deeply. They were confident, but perfectly able (without a drink on them!) to voice their own vulnerabilities. There was little that Sofia herself could say, though, beyond a sincere ‘someday you’ll find the right one’, which wasn’t really much of a relief in the present. “I think I would like to get coffee with you,” Sofia said softly. “Well, I’m not really a coffee drinker, but I can always order some tea.” Was that wise? This person had just said that they would go out for coffee with some of these ‘hook-ups’ every once in a while, but that they never went farther than that. Could she promise them she wouldn’t do the same? Cat-mask was so honest and accomodating, but Sofia knew how hurtful it could be, to start something just for it to fizzle out faster than a lit match. “I do like girls. I do already know that,” she stated a little clumsily. “And please, you don’t need to apologize. It’s alright to ramble.”
Sofia took a deep breath. She still didn’t know who this person could be, and with the very small pool of acquaintances she had, she was already certain she wouldn’t recognize this person even if they told her their name. In a sense, that made her feel a little safer than she expected. “Me, I... I guess I am just afraid that any love I have will always be just in my mind. I see someone I find cute and nice, and I like them so much it’s like... I already make up a whole story in my mind about how they might love me, and I think of how I would love them back, but I never act on it. And apart from that...” Sofia gulped. They had been so sincere and genuine with her, and she now felt she needed to be sincere like that as well. “I think that... That maybe nobody will ever like me for long. As if there is something that they will notice, and make them decide that they’ve had enough of me, and leave. As if I could only be loved at a distance, if at all.”

Writing this while listening to: No Reason - Ryan.B ft. effie (listen on YT with translation)
--------------------------
It was raining. The sounds of constant fallen raindrops greatly creates a calming ambience. You looked outside through the window, feeling a little depressed.
‘Looks like I’m stuck here again…’ you thought.
It’s been three days and you haven’t been able to walk outside. You initially planned to take a leisure stroll with Ayato but it’s been raining since then.
You closed your book and decided to visit his office that was just a few steps away. Unfortunately, you’re only greeted by an empty room. Ayato wasn’t at the estate and you forgot he has been busy since yesterday. There is an upcoming event next week, so he’s in charge of organizing the paperwork and planning.
‘Right…’ you carefully slid the door close and went on finding other things to do. Roaming around the estate wasn’t that fruitful as you still feel… empty.
If only the weather was good, you'd already be walking outside by now… it doesn’t matter if Ayato was there or not… even his company would not be enough to quench this boredom inside of you.
‘Still… If he showed up right now-’ you thought while you walked along the hallway but surprisingly as if the archon had magically answered your thoughts, that same person walked in.
“Ayato? You’re back early?” you quickly greeted him.
He softly hummed a reply.
“Great! Do you want to drink some tea together?” you excitedly suggested. At least, if you can’t go outside, it wouldn’t be that bad to have a leisure time with him.
“Sounds nice” He smiled. “...but not right now. I still have some paperwork, maybe later tonight?” he suggested.
“Right… of course” you smiled as he nodded before hurriedly walks to his office.
Honestly you feel a little disappointed but it wouldn’t be rational to get overly depressed about that matter. After all, you know he’s genuinely busy with his duty. It’s good that he prioritizes work before leisure.
‘No matter, I’ll just wait when he’s not busy’ You thought, expecting that he’ll be done with work later tonight.
You leisurely ate dinner with Ayaka, finished reading halfway through a thick novel book, recited two poems, wrote down today’s journal and still… Ayato didn’t even get out of his office room. The servants had already sent in his dinner so you didn’t need to worry about him.
You, on the other hand, were feeling quite the opposite from earlier. The night was getting cold as you finally stood up feeling sad, thinking you’ve been completely forgotten.
‘It’s alright… It’ll be fine. Tomorrow’s a new day’ You slowly enlightened yourself to avoid those negative feelings. The last thing you’d want was to cry like an idiot because of such childish reasons.
The next day, you spend the day all by yourself again… same goes with the next, and the day after. You’d see him sometimes during random hours of the day but of course just like before he barely even got the time to reply to you. Eventually even after the rainy days stopped, even after you’d get to spend a whole day outside, you still feel… empty.
‘If he can’t even have the time to eat dinner with me… why even bother staying here?’ You nonchalantly thought. Is it normal to feel this lonely even when you’re living under the same roof with him?
“I’d rather be somewhere else” you read the last sentence from the book’s contents before closing it. The book itself was reflecting what you felt, which certainly adds a certain slap of sadness in your soul.
Perhaps you were inspired by that book or maybe you it was just you… because you ended up avoiding him whenever you see him returning from work. No greetings, skip your dinner on certain days, spend a lot of time outside with your friends to the point of not returning at all and sometimes you’d be staying at your own residence. Not that all of these make you feel any better but at least there’s something fun to do… just so you can forget about being stuck inside a loop of discarded, meaningless, unimportant person. At least that’s just how you’d exaggeratedly feel right now.
It’s been a week since then, you were walking back to the estate with a certain degree of peace in mind but suddenly from a distance, you can already see a figure. Not the guards but the estate’s owner himself was leaning against the gate. He probably has spotted you even before you noticed him.
“Why didn't you return last night?” he asked directly without sugarcoating his sentence.
“Oh… you noticed?” You initially thought of ignoring his question but giving a reply wouldn’t be that bad… especially when you’re in this situation.
He sighed before pulling you along with him back to the estate. Perhaps starting an argument outside of the gate would have already been a sight for the guards. Not that you mind though…
“I’m just worried” he admits as he made you sit opposite him at the tea table by the porch.
“Sorry…” you nonchalantly replied without much emotion, barely even looking at him.
Based on your actions, Ayato knows you’re not being yourself. As if possessed by a malicious yokai, he could barely understand why you’re acting this way?
“Aren’t you busy?” you asked him but quickly added “I know you are… go on, why are you wasting time here?” you smiled before casually poured yourself a cup of green tea.
He swiftly took the cup away from you, as he sat there suddenly bringing his face closer to yours.
“What is it? Tell me right now” He demands without averting his gaze away from your eyes.
Unlike a prisoner who was hesitant to confess their wrongdoings you solemnly spoke your thoughts to him.
“You have a lot of time for work, but not so much for happiness”
“You didn’t keep your promise, you didn’t at least eat dinner with me, you didn’t even spend five minutes talking with me… is it my fault to feel this way? Is a relationship supposed to be this distant? Is it supposed to be normal for you?” unconsciously you bombard him with more questions.
He calmly listens to you, unfazed as if he was hiding something or perhaps knew about it all along? You couldn’t tell what he was concluding in his brain but you still hoped it wasn't something that could hurt you even more than how you’re feeling right now.
Ayato lightly laughs, unable to hide his own amusement that you didn’t know anything about because this situation certainly wasn’t something to make fun of… unless, if it’s really your last day staying here…
“Of course not” He suddenly became serious again as he suddenly stood up just to circle around the tea table, taking the seat next to you.
“It’s not your fault” He whispered before bringing you into his secure hold.
“Are you making fun of me?!” you try to escape away, feeling displeased by the way he has just laughed at you moments before.
“I’d be feeling the same way too, you know… a day without you feels… empty” he calmly spoke, while effortlessly keeping you stay in between his hold. His hand was behind your head while the other was by your shoulder.
“Liar” you argued back.
“Life is a series of events strung together like a phrase of a sentence… Do you want me to continue?” He asked with much confidence in his voice.
Unforeseen by you, Ayato recites the poem you’ve previously written. You haven’t shown it to anyone, especially to him because he was always busy so it wouldn’t be possible that he knows?
“How do you know that?” you asked, feeling a little curious.
He laughs as he finally releases you, letting you see his face.
“I was going to invite you to the festival yesterday, buy some new novels for you to read but you didn’t return. Since you were just staying at your own residence…”
He seems to know that you’ve also finished reading the book you’ve been reading as if you’ve told him about it yourself.
“You… You asked someone to spy on me? Didn’t you?” You try to make wild guesses.
“They’re guards, you know that and it’s for your safety” he quickly explained.
“Not that. It’s about the books I read and the poems… how do you know that?” Once again you question him about his acknowledgment about those little details.
“Well… you do know we share the same bedroom, right?” he casually spoke.
“So?” you still couldn't make any sense of what he’s trying to say.
“Did you ever sleep properly this past week?” he asked again, as if he didn’t have the answer to your questions.
You carefully recalled the things you’ve been doing before… you’d usually sit by the room’s side table to read or write before getting to bed and most likely fell asleep but for some reason… you’ll end up comfortably inside the covers when getting up the next morning.
“Sorry for troubling you then… I must’ve drained your precious time” Even if he carried you and tucked you in bed, he still doesn’t spend at least five minutes with you.
He sighed, seemingly still unable to redeem himself. “You said, I have a lot of time for work, but not so much for happiness… then what if I tell you that I still think about you even while I do my duties?”
“What if it’s just you saying this to make me feel better?” you argued back with another doubt in mind.
“It’s true…” He worriedly exclaimed, hoping you would believe him.
You sighed, his words could barely erase the sadness you were feeling right now.
If only you know… If only you’re not a heavy sleeper… perhaps you’d get to even listen to him complaining about how tired he was every day. How he wished he was better at managing his work, just so he can finish it in a second and spend more time with you.
He still remembers the promise he made. That night, he tried so hard to figure out the problem that everyone expected him to solve and it took him a while but eventually he was able to overcome it. He excitedly walked out from his office only to realize that it was already late at night. He was too late, you were already asleep by the room’s side table. Ayato quietly sat next to you for a long while, observing you, listening to your calm breathing. He sadly smiled before whispering an apology for breaking his promise.
If he was to admit it, perhaps even you would feel the second hand embarrassment. The way he didn’t miss every opportunity to hold you every night. No matter what position you were sleeping, he’d be holding you close by his side. Even if he couldn’t talk with you, it was enough for him. Ayato knows you’ll definitely call him clingy if you’d ever woken up because of him but fortunately you never woke up.
It’s also why he's feeling nothing but energized during his work hours. Unbeknown to you, you're Ayato’s lifeline, his one and only happiness. During those nights when you were absent, he could barely sleep as if he suddenly had insomnia. He too, knows of this feeling… that feeling when you’re not by his side. Perhaps… if he directly talks about these things with you… and just makes things clear.
“Let me tell you something”
----------------------------
A/N: I can't even imagine how bad it would be if Ayato really did act like that for no reason. I'd rather make reader leave him for sure (just like the lyrics would be) but writing a breakup is too painful... Reader deserves the world.

Good Morning Austin Girls!
Smutty Sunday theme three: high sex and favorite Austin pictures
Warnings: Mommy kink, dom/sub dynamics, unprotected sex (wrap it before you tap it), oral: male and female receving, light bondage, use of the pet name princess (yes this is a warning) drug use (its weed calm down)
The wrap party wasn’t really something Austin wanted to attend and if it wouldn’t have been rude to not show up he wouldn’t have. It was a very long shot and it took a bit of a toll on him so he wanted to fly home and start on his resting, but he was reminded by his agent that it is frowned upon for actors to miss the wrap party if they are available to attend. So he sucked it up and showed up about twenty minutes after it had actually started.
He made a few rounds of the room to greet his cast mates and some of the crew he had gotten to know. Eventually he decided to get something to eat, just to give him a reason to sit and not have to really interact with anyone.
At the food table they had finger sandwiches, boneless wings, pizza, tacos, and a lot of chips and dip. There were some sweets: cupcakes, cookies, fudge, and some brownies. Ones with walnuts and ones with the little rainbow candy, and then some that had some green frosting like topping. Austin wasn’t really hungry so he grabbed a green brownie and a cup of punch.
He went to find a place to sit and eat but then he saw you. You played his love interest in the movie and Austin developed a little crush on you. Which made filming very hard for him. When he had a crush his shyness kept him from functioning like a normal adult. He turned into a school boy that tries to run when you get close to him.
He was lucky if he could get out a full sentence much less a single word greeting. So when you looked at him and waved he immediately tripped and nearly spilt his drink on a very lovely woman from the wardrobe department. You can’t help but chuckle and walk over to him.
“Have a nice trip?” You asked him when you were close enough.
“Trip? Huh… O-oh, heh, yeah.” He smiles and looks down at his boots.
“Do you want me to escort you to a seat, make sure fall doesn’t come early?” You ask and smile at him.
“Uh… o-okay.” He nods and follows you to some couch that was surprisingly empty. You both take a seat and he offers you half of his brownie.
“Thank you.” You smile and take it. He takes a bite of his half and washes it down with his punch. When you take a bite you frown. It had a familiar taste but not one you think about when you think brownies.
“Um Austin?” You look at him to see that he had eaten the whole half he had.
“Yeah?” He looks at you.
“I think you just ate a special brownie.” You give him a cautious smile.
“What do you mean?” He looked at his empty fingers then at you.
“I mean, I think you ate a weed brownie.” You grabbed a napkin and wrapped the rest of your half in it and then tossed it in the trash.
“No I didn’t… Why would they…” Austin trailed off when he remembered whose movie they were working on and who arranged the wrap party. Kevin Smith, one of the most famous stoners. “Oh god.”
You looked around to see that Kevin was blocking off upstairs where the bedrooms were. “Come on.” You stood up and took his hand. He followed you like he was in a trance. You told Kevin what happened with Austin and asked if you could use a room for him to lay down. Kevin agreed and told you to use the last room at the end of the hall. You thanked him and led Austin to the room.
“Why don’t you sit down, best to be off your feet when it hits.” You closed the door behind you and locked it just in case.
“Yeah ok… Wait, what about you? You ate some too.” He pointed at you with a frown.
“Aus… I’m not new to weed or edibles. I have special brownies back at my apartment that Jason Mews made from his own strain of weed.” You smile softly and sit beside him.
“Oh… I didn’t know that. So you won’t freak out when the weed hits you?” He chuckles.
“Not really… But sometimes I do. It depends on what I smoke and the THC content. The higher it is the more likely I am to freak just a bit when smoking, but never for long.” You try to reassure him that nothing bad will happen and promised to be with him no matter what. You know some people don’t have the best reaction with weed, especially edibles.
At first it seemed like nothing bad was gonna happen, he just seemed to loosen up and giggle a bit more, but then he laid back and started to whine a bit.
“Are you ok?” You asked him, turning to face him better. He shook his head and tugged at his shirt.
“It’s not fair.” He whines. “You’re not fair.” He points at you. “You make me so nervous and now the room is rocking and all I want to do is… Fuck.” He groaned.
You raised your brow and looked him over. He was tugging at his shirt and palming at his crotch. When you looked at where he was palming you noticed he was hard. He started to moan and squirm on the bed.
“You have no clue what you do to me.” Austin moaned and sat up. He looked at you and reached out to cup your cheek.
“Austin…” You started but he shushed you.
“Please… I’ll beg if you want me to.” He got to his knees and grabbed your waist. “Please be fair.” He whined and leaned in to press his head to your chest. You look down at him trying to figure out what it is he’s asking for.
He moved his hands up to cup your breasts while tilting his head to kiss your neck. He was whining against your skin, saying please.
“It’s ok Austin, just tell me what you need.” You pulled back just enough to make him look at you. He let out a pitiful whine before looking at you so intensely that you worried you somehow made him mad.
“I need you.” He said in a deep voice that you hadn’t heard from him before. He cupped your face in both hands and kissed you. It was slow and soft at first then it began to heat up. It became needy and a bit sloppy. Like he had to kiss you or he’d stop breathing.
You pulled away when you need to breathe. “Ok baby… But I need to know you understand what’s happening and I need to know it’s really what you want.” You knew it wasn’t the best idea to sleep with someone when both of you are high, especially when one high person is high for the first time.
“Yes, I know and yes, please Y/N, I need you. I’ve wanted you since you first stepped foot on set. Just please, even just.. Fuck just let me go down on you and I’ll be satisfied.” He dropped down to rest his forehead on your legs, his hands smoothing up and down your thighs.
“O-ok.” You responded.
He looked up at you. “Really?” He asked.
“Yes. Yes really.” You smiled down at him. You cupped his jaw and brought him back up to you. “Whatever my baby boy wants.” You place a soft kiss on his lips making him let out a whine.
“Thank you mama.” He nudged you to lay back before bunching up the dress you were wearing. He groaned when he saw you didn’t have panties on. “Naughty mama.” He smirked at you before spreading your legs and leaning in.
You would be lying if you said you hadn’t thought about this. Maybe not like this but you have gotten off more than once to the idea of Austin Butler between your thighs in some way.
Austin leaned on close, slipping his arms under your thighs to put them over his shoulders and hold you in place. “Mama, wanna make you feel good.” He whined before dragging his tongue up your slit slowly, flicking the tip over your clit. He let out a satisfied moan before pressing his face more into you and lapping at your pussy like he was a starving man.
You reached down to tug on his hair, moaning his name. You clenched your thighs closed around his head, trapping him in place but he didn’t care. He’d happily let you suffocate him in this moment. You arched your back in waves, rocking your hips against his mouth. He placed his tongue flat against your clit and let you grind on him.
“Fucking hell, don’t stop baby.” You cried out moving your hands to grip the edge of the bed. He said something in response but it was muffled by your body, making you shiver from the vibrations. His grip on your thighs tightened as he pulled you closer. He dipped his head a bit and pushed his tongue into you, swirling it and trusting it in and out.
The weed in his system had everything about this experience heightened. You somehow taste sweeter fresh ice tea on a hot day, your moans are like music to him, and your body feels amazing under his hands. He’s never been this turned on and desperate before. He doesn’t even realize you screaming his name as you cum.
You kept trying to warn him before it happened but you couldn’t get words out and you didn’t want to hurt him by pulling too hard on his hair. You thought about waving for his attention but you were white knuckling the mattress edge. When your orgasm hit you saw pretty colors and you swear you tasted blood but you can’t remember biting yourself.
When you couldn’t take it anymore you sat up and pulled away from him. He whined and tried to pull you back but you used your foot to nudge him away.
“I wasn’t done mama.” He clawed at your thighs, thankfully his nails were blunt.
“I know baby, but I need a moment.” You leaned forward and kissed his lips. He cupped your face and kissed you deeper, pulling you more to him. He didn’t know kissing could feel so good.
“I did good?” He asked before peppering your jaw and neck in kisses.
“Yes and now mama is gonna reward you.” You nudge him back again. “Stand up for me baby.” He did as requested, keeping his lips pressed to yours till he had to straighten up. You slipped to your knees and undid his belt. You looked up at him as you carefully undid his pants and pulled his cock out.
“You made mama feel so good with that pretty mouth, now it’s mama’s turn to make you feel good.” You smile up at him before dragging your tongue along the underside of his cock from base to tip.
“Yes mama ahhh, fuck.” His words dissolved into a whine from your actions.
You wrapped your lips around the tip of his cock and sucked, working your tongue around it. He reached down to grip your hair, trying not to fall back on his ass. You brought your hand up to wrap around his shaft and start to pump him slowly while you worked the tip. His legs were already shaking.
Most girls don’t pay a lot of attention to the tip, they focus on the stroke and trying to deep throat. But ask any guy and they will let you know that most the nerve endings are in the tip of the cock and it drives guys wild to have it stimulated correctly. You knew this from a very curious game of twenty questions with an ex.
“Oh mama, fuck, thats.. Oh god.” He whined tugging on your hair as he felt his own climax build. You pulled off to let him cool down, running your hands over his thighs softly.
“Just breathe baby, mama will take care of you.” You leaned up a bit to place a kiss on his stomach before going back to sucking his cock. He was too worked up to keep from cumming so you did the pinch the tip trick to keep him from ejaculating.
Austin was a bit confused when he didn’t start to go soft after his orgasm but it was quickly forgotten when you got to your feet and kissed him deeply.
“Strip for me baby.” You walked around him and watched as he quickly pulled his shirt off and tossed it aside. His pants were already undone so he quickly took them off along with his cowboy boots. When he was naked he pulled you close to kiss you.
“Want me to help with your dress, mama?” He asked but didn’t wait for a response. His hands slipped around your waist and up your back. He found the zipper to your dress and eased it down, careful of your hair. You slid the straps off your shoulders and let the dress fall to the floor.
“Lay down baby.” You pushed him to the bed and grabbed his belt. He got on the bed and moved up till he could lay his head on the pillows. You smirked and walked to the head of the bed. “Arms up.” You use his belt to secure his hands to the head board. He looked at you then tried to wiggle his hands free.
“Mama, what are you doing?” He tugged on the belt a bit more.
“Sh baby, it’s ok.” You comfort him, leaning down to kiss his lips softly.
“O-ok mama. I trust you.” He nods and relaxes into his position.
You quickly straddle his lap and lean down to kiss him, rocking your hips against his. Your pussy drags along his cock making you both moan. His hips buck up at the friction pressing his cock more firmly against your clit.
“Fuck austin,” You moan. You sit up a bit and reach down to grip his cock. You drag the head of his cock through your folds before lining him up with your entrance. You look down at him to see he was biting his lip with his eyes squeezed shut. He looked fucked out and close to cumming again.
“Mama please!” He begs when you don’t move again.
“Please what baby?” You ask even though you know the answer.
Austin’s eyes snap open and he looks at you. He strains against his binds trying to sit up.
“Please just fuck me!” He cries. You have never seen this side of Austin and it turned you on so much.
“Yes baby boy.” You slowly lower down on his cock, watching him press his head back into the pillows, moaning your name. He almost sounded like a wild animal growling. It made you shiver.
“Thank you mama!” He cried.
You sunk down all the way on his cock and rotated your hips to help you adjust. He was whining but you focused on yourself for a moment. When you felt comfortable you placed your hands on his chest and lifted your hips slowly then dropped down quickly.
“Fuck!” You both moaned. You found a good rhythm, fucking him hard and fast. He kept pulling on his restraints, wanting to touch you, needing to feel your skin under his hands. You were too lost in the pleasure his cock brought you, chasing your second orgasm of the night.
“Mama please, mama I wanna touch you… Mommy please!” He cried and pulled hard enough you heard the head board threaten to break, but your attention was more on him calling you mommy. It hit in a different way then mama.
“Ok princess.” You said before reaching up to free his hands. The second he was free he gripped your waist and rolled over. He got to his knees and brought your legs up, bending you in half and pressing his palm to the underside of your left thigh.
He gripped his cock and stroked it a bit before letting some spit drop onto your wet pussy. He used the tip of his cock to spread the spit, mixing it with your slick before pushing into you. He pressed his other palm to the underside of your thigh, holding your legs spread and against your chest. He watched his cock disappear inside you, moaning deep in his throat when his thighs pressed against your ass.
“Feels so good on my cock mommy.” He whined before pulling out half way and slamming back in. You let out a choked moan, reaching up to grip the headboard.
“Your cock feels so good princess.” You moan, unsure where the pet name came from. Normally its not something you’d use for a man, but Austin right now looked like a pretty fucked out princess.
He whined at the pet name but didn’t argue against it, to busy finding his rhythm fucking you. He was desperate for release. His blunt nails started to dig into your thighs as he sped up, the sound of skin slapping skin mixed with your moans and his grunts. The bed rocked and banged the wall but you were sure no one could hear it over the music playing downstairs.
“Don’t stop princess, I’m so close.” You pulled the headboard making his creak as the bolts were tested.
“M’not gonna. Fuck mommy, your pussy feels so good around my hard cock.” He grunted each word making them sound animalistic. His brutal pace and the growl in his voice had your eyes rolling back and your whole body tensing.
“AUSTIN!” You scream as you cum on his cock. He falls forward, barely catching himself before squishing you. His hips buck against your a few times before he slams home and ruts against you. He let out whines and moans as he came inside you.
It was the most intense orgasm of his life. Each spurt of cum had him trembling over you, whimpers leaving his plump lips. You reach up to cup his cheeks and kiss him softly, helping him calm down. Bringing him back down to earth, back down to you.
When his orgasm starts to subside he lays on you, resting his cheek against your chest. He was shaking and breathing hard. You wrapped your arms around him and gently played with his hair. It takes you both some time to catch your breath.
“Did you call me princess?”

If requests are closed feel free to ignore. But I had this idea in my head if scaramouche having a familiar!Reader like Ei does. What animal/creature would they be how'd they would interact with scara and vice versa. Love your writing, drink water ❤❤
Aww this is such a cute concept, tbh! Now, I must warn you... this scaramouche is SUPER ooc, but I kinda like it. idk soft!scaramouche is just super cute to me lol Word count: 583 Extra: gn!reader, OOC SCARAMOUCHE don't yell at me
Familiars
Scaramouche was a jerk. He was mean to literally everyone in his life to the point where even his fellow harbingers disliked him. He hated the weak and he was just an arrogant ass all around. But with you… he was different. You were Scaramouche’s familiar. Just like how Ei had Yae Miko, Scaramouche had you.
You’d know him for years, especially around the time when he was just a simple puppet of Raiden Shogun. You followed him around pretty much everywhere after he was taken in by the harbingers.
He respected you quite a bit but didn’t often voice it. Not that you needed him to because you just knew him so well. For example, Scaramouche often brought you food. He never made any negative comments, just “hey, I brought you a snack” kinda thing. He made sure you had warm clothes in the winter or when you visited colder places. He always made sure you were well rested or that you’d been taking care of yourself.
Scaramouche didn’t make any negative comments towards you, and he wasn’t even passive aggressive. He was just… nice. He actually cherished you, feeling as if you were the only one who just truly knew him. In his memories, you were always around. Whether you were a snake or human… you were always with him.
The nights he felt off, you were right there to comfort him. You were always by his side, never once giving him a reason to mistrust you. He knew that no matter what the world threw his way… you’d always stay by his side.
Scaramouche didn’t like to put it into words… but he kinda loved you.
*.*-*.*
“Hey, have you eaten?” Scaramouche asked as you slowly moved a spider around with a stick you had.
“Not yet, why? Are you gonna go eat right now?” You inquired, turning your attention to him as the little spider ran for its life even though you had no plans to harm it. Scaramouche already had a tray in his hands with plenty of food on it. He was always like this.
“No, I brought the food here and there's some for you too. Come, share with me.” You nodded, standing and walking to him. Sitting beside him at the dinner table, the two of you quietly ate your meals.
“How was your day?” You asked, looking towards him. He met your eyes and slowly nodded.
“Fine, fine. How was yours?”
“It was ok! I was so lonely without you!” You pouted, puffing your cheeks out to which he shook his head but there was a hint of a smile on his lips.
“You’re so needy.”
“Yeah! I’m a familiar, I need lots of attention or I’ll shrivel up and die.”
“I’m pretty sure that’s not true. Either of those.” He laughed, shaking his head. “But fine, you get your daily dose of attention now. Aren't you happy?”
“Yeah, but it’s not enough! Look at how late it is!”
“Oh, please. You’re so spoiled. Keep this up and I'll go away for like three months.” He commented, putting his finger in some sauce before wiping it on your cheek. You gasped and feigned offense before grabbing some of your sauce and wiping it on his face.
"Don't you even joke about things like that!"
"Relax, if I left for three months, I'd take you with. Who knows what others might do if they find you." He said, throwing a very small piece of rice at you.
His laughter filled the room as the two of you started a mini food war. A smile made its way onto your face as you saw his happiness. He… didn’t often show this side to people- or anyone for that matter. You always wondered why he was so… miserable in front of people. You had your theories but you’d never asked him directly. Maybe… you would one day.

Worried
Kol Mikaelson x Daughter!Reader
Word Count- 1.5k
Warnings- Swearing, underage drinking, Kol being a little jerk
Request- i was wondering if you can write a kol x daughter!reader where the reader goes to a party and tries to sneak behind kols back but he finds out then also figures out she has a boyfriend!
“Dude, are you sure your dad won’t mind?” Lulu said from beside you.
“Ya. I mean mom’s on some witchy retreat and Dad’s losing his mind without her, so I just told him I’m hanging with a couple friends.” Lulu gave me a nervous stare.
“Don’t worry about it, ok. What’s wrong? You think he’s going to find out and then eat you?” She gives me a death stare as she rolls her eyes.
“Bro. You aren't human here.” I just laugh and nudge her shoulder.
“It’s going to be ok. Alright?” Lulu just nods her head, “Now let’s get to this party!”
Walking into the house I’m met with the overwhelming smell of weed and B.O. My eyes graze over the crowd of people in the living room dancing. Well, if you want to call it dancing, as it looks more like a bunch of pubescent teens groping each other.
“Hey guys!!!” I turn around to see Lulu’s girlfriend Molly. Her short black hair, and clothes are messed up, which I can guess is from the dancing she’s been doing all night. The party invite originally came from Molly. Lulu is the type to rather stay in and talk about the long term effects of teenage drinking, while her girlfriend is the type to be the one drinking. How they found each other is still a surprise and mystery to me. But I’ve never met a couple more made for each other. Other than my parents. Or Aunt Hayley and Uncle Elijah. Or Aunt Beks and Uncle Mar. Ok, and Aunt Keelin and Aunt Freya.
“Took you guys long enough to get here!,” I can smell the alcohol on Molly’s breath as she yells in our faces. “Come on, let's go get drinks!” Molly quickly grabs our hands and starts dragging us but I pull back.
“You guys go ahead, I’m going to go find Y/BF/N!” Molly just gives me a drunken thumbs up with her empty hand and a big smile. While Lulu mouths, “be careful.” Which I just return with a smirk. When am I ever not careful? I stood there a moment thinking and realized why she would get worried. I just shrug my shoulders to myself as I push past the kids around me trying to find my boyfriend.
“Y/N!” A voice sounds over the loud music behind me and I turn to see Y/BF/N. A large smile comes onto my face as I walk over to him. As I get to him he opens his arms and welcomes me into a large embrace.
“I didn’t think you were going to show.” He says as he lets me out of his arms and moves his hands down to the sides of waist.
“Well the way Lulu kept looking at me, I didn’t think I’d end up making it either.” I slightly laugh as I look over and see Molly dragging Lu to the dance floor, and I quite literally mean dragging. Lu looks like she’d rather be staked in the heart than be here. But we both know that as much as she hates parties, she loves Molly more.
“And what about your dad? Is he ok with this?” I just roll my eyes at the fact that even though he doesn’t know what my dad truly is he’s still terrified of him.
“Yes, he’s fine with it.” I told him. I’m about to ask him if he wants to grab a drink but seeing the way the smile on his face drops when he looks behind me, I quickly turn around to meet the dark brown of my father’s. And instantly my heart drops in my chest.
“No he’s not fine with it.” My dad says as he gives a death stare to Y/BF/N. I turn to see Y/BF/N practically shitting bricks. His hands were long gone from my waist.
“Um, hello Mr. Mikaelson. My names Y/BF/N. Y/N has told me a lot about you.” My dad's eyes trail up and down his body and I can practically see the smoke coming from his ears.
“Well isn’t that funny? Because I haven’t heard anything about you.” I go to interject but he stops me with a glare.
“Y/N, we’re leaving. Let’s go.” I wanted to refuse but by the way people are starting to stare. I think it’d be a better idea to get the pissed off Original away from a crowded room of people. I quickly apologize to Y/BF/N and follow my dad out the door.
As soon as we get to the end of the driveway I turn to my dad.
“What the hell was that dad?” I yell. My dad looks at me with an incredulous look.
“Are you kidding me, Y/N? First I find you missing from your friend's house and then Rebekah tells me that she helped you do your hair for some party! So I find a party full of drunk teenagers and find some hooligan grabbing my daughter!”
“That hooligan dad was my boyfriend! And you practically just scared the living shit out of him back there. And not even mentioning how embarrassing it is for my dad to come and pick me up from a party surrounded by all my friends!”
My dad just rolls his eyes as he walks to the driver’s side of the car.
“Get in.”
I just scoff as I start walking away.
“Where are you going Y/N?” My dad yells from behind me.
“I’ll walk home.” I hear the car door slam and wait for the car to start but am surprised when my father appears in front of me.
“So you’ll walk home in the dark. Where you could possibly get eaten. But, you won’t get in the car with your father?”
“Yes,” I walk around him and continue walking, “and also I’m a witch I can protect myself.”
I continue walking and don’t hear my father until I hear a huff and footsteps.
“Well, if you’re walking then so am I.”I just ignore him and keep walking.
Fifteen or so minutes have passed since we started walking and I haven’t said anything to my dad. Which I can tell is getting to him. I may be the daughter but he’s the child in this family. And when a child is ignored, they get bratty.
I watch as my dad picks up the stick in front of him and turns to me. I narrow my eyes as he points the stick at me.
“Listen here girly, I’m going to give you two choices. Either you answer me or I’ll use the stick.” I just roll my eyes at his behavior and keep walking.
I start to walk a few feet when I feel something hit my calf. I whip around and see my dad looking up to the sky with a sly smirk on his face. The stick is being held behind his back. I just shake my head and keep walking.
Maybe 20 seconds go by before I feel the stick poke itself on my back. The only difference when I turned around this time was that my father wasn’t hiding the fact that he was the one poking me. I looked me dead and in the eyes and took the stick and placed it only on my head. I just stare at him, I’m not going to give him the benefit of knowing he can make me laugh.
I just keep walking, which I notice gives my dad even more motivation to get me to break.
“Do you want to hear about the time your Uncle Nik got his ass kicked by a bunch of teenagers?” I just sigh and keep walking.
“Or how about the time your dad embarrassed his daughter in front of all her friends and pissed her off?” I just sigh.
“Ya I think I’ve heard that one before.” I say as I stop.
“Did you hear the part where your dad was really sorry and only did it because he was scared when he couldn’t find his daughter. And the thought that the person he loves the most in the entire world might be in danger makes him feel like he’s being daggered all over again.”
I turn to my dad to see him staring at me. I look at him sadly before wrapping my hands around him in a hug.
“I’m sorry dad.”
I feel his arms wrap around me tighter and he presses a kiss to my forehead.
“I’m sorry too, kid. I may be a thousand years old. But this parenting thing might be the hardest thing I’ve ever done.”
“I’m sorry Dad, for not telling you. I didn’t realize you would be so scared. I’m sorry that you have to worry about me.” My dad's eyebrows furrow as he looks at me.
“Hey, don’t ever apologize for that. I’m your dad, it’s my job to worry about you. And I wouldn’t change that for the world. I love being your dad. And I love you.” I hugged him again.
“I love you too dad. And if you wanted to, I’d really like to hear that story about Uncle Nik getting his ass kicked.”

When in New York (Kelley O’ Hara x reader)
Part 2
You had just finished post game media following your game against New York Liberty. You weren’t a huge fan of doing media but it made it easier considering Seattle had won.
You leave the conference room with Stewie who you had been doing the interview with.
“You seeing your family tonight” You shake your head.
“What about you?” She nods hers.
She bumps her shoulder into yours “Two New Yorkers beat New York in New York. Sounds like something to celebrate to me” She says and maybe she had a point.
You both walk into the locker room, some players have already left and some were still packing up.
“Y/N? Megan texted saying that her and a couple other teammates are at your parents restaurant and asked if we wanted to meet up with them” Sue asks.
Very few people knew about the family restaurant, you wanted to keep it a secret so that it could stay authentic. Your family was Italian and the restaurant was like a little piece of Italy in New York. The only people that knew where your Storm teammates and Megan, the honorary team mom.
You look at sue and she is giving you the look. After signing for the team she had taken you under her wing meaning that the two of you had got quite close.
“Ok, ok. No need to give me that look” You says.
After a quick shower and a change of clothes you leave the area, luckily for you the restaurant is only a few blocks away so you and Sue opted to walk saying that I would be your cool down / recovery.
“You said teammates” you says putting air-quotes around the word teammates “who’s there?” You ask.
“Alex and Kelley” she says which instantly bring a smile to your face.
“I thought that would cheer you up”
“Shut up”
You had a crush on Kelley, both Sue and Megan knew it. You met her last year when to US were playing in Seattle and Megan had invited you to a game. There was something about the defender that you really liked. You wasn’t if it was the fact that on the pitch she is a beast and off she is teddy but always had fun when you were with her.
You both enter the restaurant being greeted by your mom as soon as you come through the door.
“Mrs L/N nice to see you again” Sue says.
“Sue I have told you before, you can call me Maria” You mom says as she hugs you and sue makes her way to your friends.
“buon gioco dolce ragazza” (good game sweet girl) she tells you.
“grazie mamma” you reply kissing her cheek.
Meanwhile sue heads towards to table of soccer players.
She waves at everyone getting a mixture of hi’s and hello’s
“Hi babe” She says kissing her girlfriend on the cheek.
“Hi” Megan replies. “Where Y/N?” She asks noticing that you wasn’t behind sue.
“She’s in here somewhere” Sue says. She knew that you would probably been saying hi to your dad in the kitchen but she couldn’t tell them that.
“See Kel, you have a few more moments to get your crush in check” Alex jokes with her friend.
“Shut up!” Kelley replies.
“Hi guys” you say as to approach the table.
You notice Kelley staring at you so you take the opportunity to tease her.
“Like what you see?” You say making the defender blush.
“Have you ordered food yet?” You ask.
“No we were waiting for you. We know we are having though” Alex tells you as she hands you a menu.
“Thanks but I don’t need it” You say handing the menu to Sue who shakes her head letting you know she doesn’t need it either.
“You already know what you’re having?” Kelley asks.
“Not exactly” Sue says which confuses the others.
Looking around the restaurant you catch the attention of one of the waiters.
You let him know you are ready to order.
Each of the women tell him what they want and then it is your’s and sue’s turn.
You look at sue and she nods her head.
“dì a gianni che avremo quello che consiglia” (tell gianni we will have what he recommends) Sue says
“Certo” The waiter says.
You look at Sue and smile in approval.
“You getting very good, maybe time for a trip” You say.
“You speak Italian?” Kelley asks Sue.
“Y/N does and she has been teaching me for the past couple of years”
“Who is Gianni?” Alex asks.
“He is the chef here” You explain.
You start talking about the storm game when you mom bring across a bottle of limoncello hand you the bottle and 5 shot glasses.
“Grazie” You say
You pour everyone a glass and hand them out.
“You get table service here?” Kelley asks.
“No, I asked for it when I came in” You reply.
You raise you class and everyone copies.
“Here to us. We change the game and provide hope for the next generation of female athletes” You say and everyone takes a sip except Kelley who shots it.
“You sip it Kel. If not you’ll be on the floor an hour” Megan says.
“You would know” you tease causing you and the forward to laugh.
“I will pour you another but this here” you say pointing to the bottle “is the real stuff, not something you find in a liquor store. It comes straight from a vineyard in Italy where this restaurant makes it’s wine”
“You know a lot about this restaurant, the chef’s name and now where it makes it’d alcohol” Alex questions.
“What can I say, I have been coming here since I was a baby” you explain.
“that’s one way to put it” sue says under her breath, no quiet enough though as you send her a glare.
You look at Kelley as she takes a sip.
“Tastes better doesn’t it” She nods her head.
Your food arrives and you all say how nice it looks and smells.
“Oh.my.god” Kelley says between mouthfuls.
“I agree, this is incredible. Megan how did you find this place? Alex asks.
“Y/N” Megan replies and Alex nods remembering that you said you came here when I was younger.
Conversation is small and simple as you all focus on your food.
You thank the waiter telling him the the food was delicious as he clears the table.
“Y/N can I ask you a question” Kelley asks.
“Only if I can ask you one?”
“Why Italian and are you fluent” She asks
“I’m Italian so I had to learn in order to talk to family in Sicily”
“Prove it. Tell me something in Italian?”
“quando ci siamo conosciuti pensavo fossi la persona più bella del mondo”
“Sounds very romantic” Alex says.
“What does it mean?” Kelley asks.
“it means ‘when we met I thought you were the most beautiful person in the world’” You tell her making sure to look her in the eyes when you say it.
Kelley is at a loss for words, what is she suppose to say to that.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to make you feel uncomfortable” You say slowly regretting what you said, not that you didn’t mean because you did.
“I’ll go get us some more drinks” you says excusing yourself from the table.
“Kelley” Alex says trying to get her friends attention.
“Does she say that kind of thing to everyone?” Kelley asks sue.
She shakes her head “She isn’t that type of person Kelley”
“You should tell her how you feel” Megan suggests.
Kelley shakes her head “what if she doesn’t feel the same way”
“You honestly think that after hearing what she just said” Alex says not believing her friends blindness.
You walk back to the table with two bottles of red wine.
“Dessert wine anyone?” You say trying to avoid the awkwardness. “trust me, this will be the best you tasted”
“It’s what they make in Italy right?” Alex says, you nod pouring her a glass.
Out of all the woman at the table to knew that Alex was the one that drank wine. You wait eagerly to see If she likes it.
“Nice right”
Alex nods her head.
You all sip on your wine talking about everything and anything, for a moment you forget that you are all major athletes and it just feels like a group of friends catching up.
Once you are done Alex gets the attention of the waiter for the bill but he tells them that it has been settled.
She looks around the table confused but notices that Megan and Sue and looking directly at you.
“Y/N”
“What? We don’t do this very often. Let me treat my friends”
“Thank you” Alex and Kelley say at the same time.
You are just about to leave when your mom comes to the table.
“Did you all enjoy your meal?” She asks.
“It was incredible, I cannot wait to come back” Kelley says.
“I agree, I will definitely come back whenever we are in New York” Alex says.
“I’ll see you two soon ok” she says putting an arm around Sue and Megan. She had met them numerous times when she came to Seattle but her comment stumped the other two.
“Of course, next time your in Seattle you have to show me how to make your lasagne, I always eat the ones you make Y/N” Megan looks at you when you realises what she said.
It looks like your secret was about to get two new keepers.
“Alex, Kelley” your mom says now directed her attention to the other two soccer players “Any friends of my daughters are always welcome here”
“Wait, your daughter?” Kelley says looking at you confused.
“Meet my mom Maria” you say.
“This makes more sense. It is why you know so much about this restaurant” Alex says.
You nod your head.
You all make sure your way our of the restaurant. You had learned that Megan, Alex and Kelley were all staying in the same hotel as you and sue so you walked back together. Sue, Megan and Alex walk ahead leaving you and Kelley alone.
“I didn’t mean to make you feel uncomfortable earlier, it’s just that whenever I am near you I feel this connection and thought maybe you felt it too. I wouldn’t have said what I said if I didn't” you say
“I wasn’t uncomfortable, you caught me of guard. Nobody has every said something like that to me, definitely not in Italian” Kelley explains.
“I find that hard to believe, I mean look at you, you are beautiful” You say.
Kelley blushes again which you find adorable “ You were right before. I feel the connection too but I never did anything about it because we live so far away from each other”
“Can’t we just let ourself be happy even it it’s only a short period of time. We focus so much on the bigger picture that we don’t see what is right in front of us” You tell her.
“What do you have in mind?” She asks and you smile, you had wanted to do this for a quite a while.
“When do you leave New York?”
“Not until the day after tomorrow”
“Perfect! Have breakfast with me?”
“I would love to” she replies.
Kelley stops walking “for the record, I find you very beautiful too”
You smile holding you hand out and she takes it.
You walk back to the hotel hand in hand, not talking just making the most of each others company whilst you can.

You were trying to go and find some food for dinner at Wild's request and found some interesting looking berries. They looked like blueberries from your world but there was purple thorns on the bush instead, with yellow trimmed leaves.
You grabbed a few and retraced and marked your steps to find your way back to the bushes. You thought that maybe one of the boys would be able to identify the berries and know if they were actually edible or not.
You stashed them away and grinned to yourself. It was a possibility that they were good but if they weren't- there was other ways to use the berries.
You still needed to find food that your group actually is able to eat if the berries aren't worth anything.
You hear your name being called and it startles you enough to take a step back and look behind you.
You trip on a root and crash against the forest floor- falling onto a separate patch of the same berries. Pollen and dew shoot up from the impact and you're forced to inhale it all in.
There's instant discomfort in your lungs and in your head, and you can already feel the multiple places where the thorns have pierced your skin and ripped your clothes.
You take a while to pry yourself out of the bushes, pain littered in all places you didn't even know you could hurt.
You cough and inhale more of the pollen that hasn't settled yet.
A massive headache begins pounding against your temples and back of your head.
You hear your name being called once more but this time in concern and blink away what you can. You groan and try your best to stand, falling to one knee in a coughing fit with pain and discomfort all throughout your joints and muscles.
You look up and smile despite it, a slight giggle of hysteria on your lips. "Hi Link! Guess what I found!"
Warrior "Oh sweet name of the three, what happened to you?" You see Warrior walk up to you and reach out his hand.
You giggle again and reach out to him. He grabs you and tries to lift you back onto your feet but your legs gives out from beneath you and you fall again.
"Hello~!" You lift out your hand and show him the berries. "You know if theses are good or not?"
"Nope." Warrior smacks them out of your hand with a backhanded swing. "Those are known for being highly toxic in.... depressant... components... Don't tell me you ate them?"
You grin and shake your head. "Nope! I didn't know if they were good or not...but I fell~!"
Warrior's face does that thing where he looks concerned but is only marginally capable of hiding it. "On the plant?"
"Link, you're so smart!" You get to your feet and fall nearly on top of him. Warrior is quick to catch you and hold you with his hands on your waist and you grin up at him, adoration pooled in your eyes. "That's what I did~! Man, you're so strong. You're stronger than I thought you were. Your arms are so toned too. I didn't think you had this much muscle."
"Ok. Let's get you to Sky." Warrior rolls his eyes and begins to more or less drag you away from the plants and back to where you think the group is. "Or maybe Four, this is his Hyrule anyway. Maybe he'll know how to get you fixed up."
"See, this is why I like you so much. You're always so fast to come up with a plan and you're so caring. You're so smart. You're so great." You giggle and try to follow his footsteps but find it really hard to put one foot in front of the other.
After what felt like a few seconds, (but was really ten minutes of Warrior fighting you and gravity (not successfully) to keep you upright), Warrior gives up on your non cooperative limbs and picks you up bridal style and begins to carry you away from the infested area.
"Link, I love you."
"I love you too." Warrior waves you off with a playful roll of his eyes.
"No.. but I really love you!" You insist, getting loud for no reason and place your hands on his face. You give him a squish and lean into his space. "You have to understand this. I would do anything to you."
"I know you would." He laughs. "I'd do anything for you too."
He shakes his head out of your hands and grins at you. "I think you're a little drunk from the plants toxins."
"Nuh-uh." You pout. "I'm too strong for that. I'm completely........ ok."
"I believe you." Warrior bites his lip trying to keep his cool before he absolutely looses it. He's both touched by your words and concerned for your well being. He supposes you're more or less drunk and loopey. It's not the most desirable circumstance but he's sure that those cuts on your skin and tears on your clothes can be handled more easily than the up coming hangover.
You fall silent after a second and look up at him. You poke his cheek and his nose and grin, hugging him close and snuggling into his chest and neck. "Has anyone ever told you that you're very handsome?"
"I think that's the more common compliment." He admits.
"And your eyes are very pretty and very blue and you have very long eye lashes and it's all very pretty. And you have a strong jaw."
"Do I?"
"So strong and sharp- it could cut glass." You say seriously. "And your hair always looks very soft and shiny and silky and I want to play with it but I don't want to make things weird. And you're so cool! You're so smart. You're so nice. And you're great with kids and people and everyone likes you so much, so quickly and it's so cool to watch you work and fight and-"
"You're going to keep going forever unless I stop you, aren't you?" Warrior swallows and tries to fight his upcoming blush. He had thought that you were joking for a moment but the more you talk the more it hits that you're being genuine.
You furrow your brows and hit him with the most innocent doe eyes you don't know that you have. "Do you want me to stop?"
Warrior almost trips at that way his heart skips a beat and he chuckles awkwardly. "Actually... No. It's ok. I don't mind."
"You deserve the world, Link." You say finally and go back to resting with your head in the crook of his neck. "I just wish that you could see that, you stubborn man."
"I'll... try my best."
"Good."
Time "Oh no." Time sighs and makes his way over to you. "What happened? Are you hurt?"
"My head hurts." You admit and drop the berries from your palm to cradle your temple. "I was trying to look for food... I think I found it but I also... don't."
Time kneels in front of you and places the back of his hand on your forehead. He hisses at the temperature and places his hand under your chin. "Why do you keep finding yourself in situations like this?"
"You boys keeping putting me situations like this." You mutter and try to stand. Your legs fail you and Time lurches in front of you in order to catch you.
"Do you see me as a boy?" Time raises an eyebrow.
"NOT that I'm complaining." You ignore his question and pat his face. "I love you guys, so much but like...This is what happens when I care about people. I end up in stupid situations."
"Maybe Four will have somethin to help out this." Time admits and picks you up without any further thought. "Let get you some help."
"Link, you're so great." You sigh and press your forehead against the crook of his head. His heartbeat is strong and he's cooler than you thought so you sigh in contentment.
"You're so calm and I always feel safe around you and you give the best hugs." You grin against his ear and Time has to stifle the upcoming chuckles from his chest.
"Do I?"
"The best hugs." You reiterate and snuggle closer. "You can ask Wind, he'll agree."
"I'm sure he will." Time let's a snort pass and he nods to Four as he passes. "They fell in a berry bush."
"Blue berries! With pretty leaves and thorns!" You cry out with an arm outstretched to the sky. "Not good for food, no no no, but good."
"Well... I'll start the antidote." Four sighs and walks away to his pack, immediately digging through it for the ingredients that will help you out.
"Four!" You sing and turn your head back into Time's neck. "Isn't Time the best? He's so strong and gentle and nice and he's so great."
Time lets more laughter fall from his lips as he places you on the ground next to his supplies. He says your name with a slight whine and begins to beg. "Please."
"Beeeeeesst hugs." You ignore him.
Four snickers from the other side of the camp and pulls out a bottle.
"I adore you Old Man. I don't think you get told that enough." You continue. "Like, you always try so hard to be a good person. You've gone through so much and you had no reason to start your adventure or to keep helping people and doing stuff but you care so much so you're here still and I think-"
Oh no, Time thinks, you're crying.
"Ok, ok, it's ok." time kneels next to you and puts your hair behind your ear. "No need to be upset. I'm here and everything's ok."
"But you've been hurt so much!" You pout, tears pooling in your eyes. "And yet you're still here and no one thanks you and you try so hard to watch over all of us and even then-"
"That's enough." Time frowns slightly and shakes his head. "I'm just doing what I'm supposed to."
"No one is making you." You pout and lay down on the ground. "You're not listening to me."
"Believe me, I am."
"Here." Four comes up to you and hands you a little bottle filled with viscous green liquid. "Drink this."
"I don't wanna." You pout. "I don't feel good."
"It'll make you feel better." Four tries again, before Time takes the bottle from his hands and uncorks it.
"Drink it." He says, in a tone which means there no room for argument.
"You're such a dad." You complain and grab it from his hand, placing it to your lips and begin sipping it slowly.
Time shakes his head and runs a hand through his hair. "What are we going to do with you?
Wild "Oh boy, I don't think these are good for eating." He says with a slight grimace. "We should probably not get near these. Let's go clean you up, yeah?"
"WIILLDD!!" You grin and reach your grabby hands in his direction. "Beautiful boy, how are you today~?"
Wild coughs a little and tries to hide his discomfort by avoiding eye contact. "I'm... fine... How are you?"
"Everything hurts~" You admit and look up at him with pleading eyes. "Carry me?"
"Oh boy, sure, why not?" He sighs and wraps around your shoulders and hooks the other under your knees, carrying you effortlessly through the thicket.
"How did this even happen?" He asks out of curiosity.
"I heard you call my name and fell."
"Fell where?"
"In the bush." You mumble with a pout and cross your arms. "It's all pokey and my clothes are ripped and I think I'm bleeding."
Wild bite his lip and hisses. "Sorry."
" 's not you're fault." You look up at him and pat his face. "You're too nice. I just wanted to help and got hurt like stupid me tends to do."
"You're not stupid." Wild scolds you gently. "You are incredibly smart."
"You're the smart one."
"Think so? I think some of the other will disagree."
"Well they can eat my shoes."
Wild coughs out a laugh again in a vain attempt to hide how uncharacteristically serious that was for you and how the unexpectedness of it made him lose it on the inside. "I don't think those would taste good."
"No.... But I need them so maybe they eat my hat instead." You nod to yourself in full serious before gasping slightly. "They should eat Legend's hat instead, then they'll really be sorry."
"Oh my god." Wild snorts and goes to cover his face before remembering that he's holding you.
He jostles' you in the process and the movement cause your headache to flare up. You whine and put a hand to your temple. "It hurts."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
Wild frowns and puts the information away for later. "We'll get you back to camp and figure something out ok, maybe you should take it easy for a little bit."
"Link, you're so good to me. I don't deserve it."
"I think you do- I say you do and I'm going to tell Time to keep you down until you feel better."
"Noooo."
"Yeeesss."
"But you're always doing something for someone else, who's going to help you with dinner?" You complain and flop your arms around- regrettably because your head ache flares up once more. "Oh, ouch, ouchies..."
"I think I'll be fine." Wild rolls his eyes. "I've done it before I can do it again."
You hum sadly and shimmy your way into his arm to get more comfortable. "You're a good person. You're so smart. I love hanging out with you. You know that? You're so fun to be around and talk to and you're always so.... good."
Wild looks down on you momentarily before returning to the the forest ahead of him. "Thank you."
"I wish..." You start and cut yourself off. "I wish there was more I could do help you. You help so many people- I think there's someone in every stable in your Hyrule that you've helped... not to mention all of Hateno Village and like- you built Terry Town... It's so good-you're good. I wish more people were good."
"Are people not good?" Wild asks you as he walks through the green.
"I like to think that some are. I don't get to meet a lot of them." You admit and settle your head against his shoulder. "My home's not as nice as here."
"I'm sorry to hear that."
"I'm going to miss you guys."
"We're going to miss you too." Wild replies automatically.
"I think I'll miss you most." You hum and close your eyes. "Good people should get good things and you didn't get a lot of good things... Someone should fix that. I want to fix that."
Wild doesn't respond.
Twilight
“Oh!” Twilight winces. “I should have warned you about those. Four told me they’d be in the area and that we’d have to avoid them. You ok?”
“I fell... in the bush.” You pout and begin to sag your shoulders. Guess they weren’t edible after all.
Seems like they’re quite bad actually.
“I’m sorry.” You sniffle and try ignore the tears beginning to pool in your eyes. “I didn’t mean too. I’m in trouble, aren’t I?”
“Well no, not exactly.” Twilight rushes to your side at the side and brushes off whatever leaves and twigs he can see from your clothes. “Does anything hurt?”
“A lot of things hurt Twi.”
“Can you be a little more specific?” He tries, with a small tilt to his head.
“My head... and I think there’s a lot of tiny cuts on my arms and back.” You try to stand again and Twilight is quick to help you with a stabilizing hand on the small of your back. “There’s more thorns in the bushes than I thought there’d be.”
“Ok, we’ll get those looked at ok. Four should have something to help you in the mean time.” Twilight takes a few steps with you, wrapping an arm over your shoulder when he realizes you’re more intoxicated than he thought.
You put your full weight against him without realizing it and place your head on his shoulder. “Twilight?”
“Yes?”
“I appreciate you so much.” You take a breath and sigh. “You’ve been the first person there to help me out with whatever this adventure seem to throw at me. You’re always taking care of others... like Wild and Wind and Legend and I know you look up to Time but so many of us are looking up to you too and I guess I want to say thank you. There’s a lot of good in your heart and I’m glad I get to see it.”
“I appreciate you too.” He says in reply.
“But I don’t do anything.”
“I’d beg to differ.”
“You’re too dignified to beg. I don’t think you’d ever have it in you.” You grin. “I admire the way you hold yourself and don’t let anyone talk down to you- like that guy in that old Castle Town- or where ever we were. And like, you can throw a good punch too. I thought you broke that guys jaw!”
“Admittedly... Not one of my greater moments.” Twilight hisses at the memory. Time gave him a nasty look for that one and he’s still working off the penalty for it.
“It was super cool though.” You cock your head to the side, looking at his profile as you stumble through the forest growth. “He totally deserved it, don’t let Time let you think otherwise. I was tempted to punch him too or get get Wild and let him go crazy against the guy.”
“Wild probably would have set him on fire.”
“It would have been funny.”
“No it wouldn’t have.”
“Not to the guy, maybe.” You giggle. “But see, you’re always thinking about others and how’d they react and how to go about things that makes you so smart and you’re so cool.”
“Thank you.” Twilight stops the two of you for a moment and readjusts his grip on you. “Are you feeling any better?”
“No. My head hurts.”
“Well, we’re almost there and then we can get started on fixing this ok?”
“Ok.” You mumble and go back to mostly resting against the country boy.
“You’re really great with animals too.” You say randomly. “I’ve never a horse that close with its rider or how all the cats just gravitate towards you.”
“The cat thing I’ll admit is special to me, but are you trying to tell me that the horses of your world aren’t treated right? Because they bond really well with humans and dogs alike.”
“Why dogs?”
“Uh-”
“Well everybody likes dogs, I guess that’s a given. It's not even a question really. I don't know why I asked.” You shrug.
“Yup. That’s what I meant.”
“And no, well I don’t know... I don’t see a lot of horses in my home world so maybe you’re right and I just have bad examples.”
“Of course I’m right.” Twilight says with a grin. “Horses are great!”
“You’re great Link.” You try to hide your laughter at how genuine and boyish he sounded. “I’d take you over a horse any day.”
“Well I’d hope so.”
Wind
"What is it?" Wind tilts his head and steps into your direction, trying to piece together what happened to you with what little information he has. "You look like you got in a fight... and lost."
"I fell the bush of these berries! Look!" You grin beyond the pain in your head and hold your hand out.
Wind walks up to you and picks one up between his fingers, twisting it around before looking back at you. "Are these safe to eat?"
"I have no idea." You answer honestly. "I was going to as Wild if he knew but then I fell in this bush and got hurt so I gotta go get myself checked out."
"Well that explains why your clothes are torn." Wind snorts a little and holds his hand out. "Do you need help?"
You hum and try to examine yourself from the inside. Your head is killing you but you feel loopey and uncentered.
Maybe some help would be nice.
"Yes, please." You take his hand and let him pull you up. "Thank you Link."
"No problem." He grins. "Can you get back to the camp on your own?"
You hum again and try to take a step forward. But your knee buckles from beneath you and you fall the ground again. "Ow."
"Ok, guess not." Wind is by your side within seconds and helps you back to your feet. "That's ok! I'll just help you get to the others and maybe someone will know how to fix you."
"Yay." You giggle and lean on the boy. "Have I ever told you how great you are?"
"No." Wind grins and starts to lead the way. "I don't think you have."
"That's a shame. Shame on me. Because you are one of the best kids I think I've ever met. Don't let anyone change you, ok? You are.... so fun to be around and I'm so glad I met you and I'm going to miss you when this is all over and I think I'm going to try-"
"You think you're going to cry?" Wind looks up at you.
"No no... maybe." You tilts your head and close your eyes, putting your full trust and weight on Wind's shoulders. "I just... you're so good. And you're so happy and excited to see all these new things and I wish I was like that when I was your age, you know?"
"Uh-"
"And I hope that you get to do and see so many amazing things, Link. You're going to change your world, I know it and I'm sad that I won't get to see it."
"Hey-"
"You can't let anyone bully you, ok? There's a lot of people that would want to break your spirit and your joy and there's a lot of things that we want to do to keep you the way you are but there's only so much we can shield you from. I know you don't like it. I know you think you can't take it. But you shouldn't have to. You should have never had to. You should have had a chance like all the other boys and girls to be young and have a childhood and just be a kid but I'm so proud of you." You say and stop the two of you for a moment, pulling Wind in what you try to be a crushing hug.
"You're incredible, you know that?" You lean back and put your hands on his shoulders. "Link, listen, no matter what any else will ever tell you, we adore you. I think you're everyone's favorite, ok? There's so many things I want to show you myself if the Captain would let me.... I doubt he will because there not exactly things kids your age should know. Like throwing knives and hand to hand combat... But I think we both agree that it's all waaaay past that point. So anything goes!"
"Will you really teach me?" Wind lights up at the thought and be jumps a little on his toes in excitement.
"If you're up for it.. I'm sure that others will try to fight me though."
"I'll fight them."
"I don't doubt that pirate."
"What are you two talking about?" Warrior steps up and places his hands on his hips. "We heard you talking but missed it. What is.... what happened to you?"
"I'm just telling Wind how amazing he is and how much I love him and adore him and how cool he is for a thirteen year old and how I couldn't even come close to that when I was his age so I'm a bit jealous-"
"They fell in some freaky looking berry bush and I think they're poisoned." Wind explains over you. "They're acting a little loopey."
"I am. ONE HUNDRED PERCENT OK." You shout and push yourself away from Wind, staggering on your feet and eventually falling on your butt onto the forest floor.
The sudden movement flares up your headache and your neck muscles stiffen around your shoulders, making it hard to move your head. "Oh, ow.... My head... That was a mistake. Mistakes were made."
Warrior hisses and sigh after watching you suffer for a hot second. "Alright, I'll go wrangle up some supplies. Can you take them back to camp on your own, Sailor?"
"I was already doing that." Wind raises an eyebrow.
"Alright then, then go back to doing that." Warrior smirks a little. "I'll be back."
He then nods a bit and walks away from your duo as Wind makes his way over to where you fell, pulling you back to your feet and wrapping your arm over his shoulders. "Did you mean what you said?"
"What did I say?" You try to twist your head around to loosen up your muscle and it only slightly works.
"Well... everything you said about me. Did you mean it?"
"I don't remember." You frown and furrow your eyebrows. "Probably... If it's all good things, then yes. Because you are good. And you deserve good things. And you might be the little brother I never had... but I wish you were my brother. You're cool. You're great. I love hanging out with you man."
Wind smiles softly and sits you down on a free spot once you reach camp again. "I can be your brother, it's ok."
"Awesome!"
Sky
"And what exactly did you find?" Sky raises an eyebrow when he sees you. He recognizes the plant but can't remember what it does or why he's seen it before.
"Hm... I don't think that's good." He sighs and walks over to you, picking you up with a sturdy hands on your elbows. "Are you ok?"
"A lot of things hurt right now." You admit. "Are the berries not good?"
"Let's assume they aren't." Sky smiles a bit and wraps arm around your waist to keep you from falling. "I think you should get someone to look at you."
"You have really long eye lashes." You blurt out and gently bring your hand to cup his face. "And I've never noticed how blue your eyes are."
"Ok, those berries defiantly aren't good." Sky snorts and picks your hand off of his face. "Let's get you back to camp, ok?"
"You're like... one of the nicest people here, you know that?"
"Well I certainly try to be."
"And you're always thinking of others and you're so good." You lean against him, putting your full weight onto his side. "I'm so sorry that you have to be here instead of your home. You're so important to so many people Link."
"You think so?"
"I know so." You pat his head with what little arm you reach. "You're at the start of this whole thing... You are... the whole reason Hyrule, as everyone knows it, exists to begin with. It all starts with you. Not everyone has that kind of legacy you know."
"Is that really my legacy?" Sky looks over to you and you grin brightly in his direction.
"Well aside from the stories of the hero I've always heard so much about growing up there's also like the hero lineage as well. Not to mention you also father... the whole Hyrule Royal Family Line. So I'd say you're pretty important. and your legacy is pretty big."
Sky stops abruptly and the suddenness of it sends you right onto the ground. "I'm the start of the line?"
"OOOWWW!!! SKY!" You whine and cradle your head with both of your hands. "That hurt! Why did you do that?"
"Sorry sorry sorry." Sky bends down and helps you back up, readjusting his grip on you a few times to make sure that even if he loses his grip again, he won't be sent careening onto the floor. "That was an accident. I did not mean to do that."
"That was mean."
"It wasn't on purpose I swear."
"Promise?" You rolled your head over and rest it on his shoulder.
"Promise." Sky bite his lip to hold in his laughter. "I'd never do that to you on purpose, not like this."
"Ok. I believe you." You nod. "I think if you really wanted to hurt me, you would have sent your army of birds against me or something."
"I do not have an army of birds."
"But you're building one."
"No, I'm not."
"You are though. Maybe not on purpose... Maybe you don't realize it. You do know that birds flock to you right?" You blinks your eyes up at him. "It's a crazy thing to witness. I think you could easily rule to world with nothing but cuccos by your side."
"What is it with you guys and the cuccos? What did they ever do to you?"
"I can't speak for the others but I say with full certainty that my Zelda has a wicked streak sometime and she was mercilessly attacked by them one day."
"Oh my goodness"
"I told her to leave them alone but noooo, she had to keep hittin' the poor thing and look where it got her. Those little things are ruthless and should be feared. She won't touch them with a ten foot pole now." You nod your head to your story as if you were telling Sky some age old wisdom.
"Does that mean the others-?"
"Most likely." You snort. "Serves them right."
"That would explain that."
"Sky, I'm really glad I know you... as a person and as a friend. I think you're really talented and great and good and I'm so happy you're here."
"I'm glad I met you too." Sky grins and waves over someone from the camp to come help him.
"You're my favorite ok, don't tell the others." You wink in his direction and let yourself be taken away from his side.
"Oh jeeze, thanks." Twilight snorts and picks you up bridal style, taking you further into the camp and laying you down by the small fire they've started.
"I'll take that secret to my grave." Sky smirks.
Twilight huffs a little and stands to leave. "You can take care of them then."
"That was the plan."
"Sky is a brave boy." You mumble from where you've been placed and reach out to him. "He deserves better than watching over a sick sack of potatoes. He's good at helping people. Someone has to make sure that he doesn't push himself too hard. He'll over work himself and then there would no more Sky and the world will be to dark to recover. There's no way we can lose Sky. He's too good."
"Have they been like the whole time?"
"Pretty much." Sky shrugs.
"I think I'm going to throw up." You mumble and try to push yourself upright.
The boys then scramble to try and manage the approaching problem.
It's going to be a long night.
Legend
"Oh for the love of- you look like you took a swim through the underbrush. What did you do?" Legend groans and comes to stand in front of you.
"I went for a swim?" You blink up at him, confused and a little disoriented still. "Is that what happened? I'm not wet... Am I?"
"You're joking." Legend raises an eyebrow and and places the back of his hand against your forehead. "Ok, maybe not."
"I can not believe the legend himself has graced me with his presence." You giggle and try to stand- not very successfully. "What a joyous day indeed."
"What on earth are you talking about?" Legend kneels next to you and takes one of your arms, lifting it up and wrapping it around his shoulders. "You're acting weird... weirder than usual anyway."
"But I love you Legend!" You cry and wrap your other arm around him. It's a clumsy hug and Legend almost throws you off. But considering you can barely stand on your own feet with his support, he supposes some more wouldn't hurt.
If he likes it then he doesn't say anything.
"I think you love the idea of me." He grumbles. "I'm not that great."
"See, you say that but it's not true!" You grin and nuzzle your head against his. "You put on this big tough attitude and your defensive but you love us and we love you and I know you sometimes slip more food onto Wind's pate when he's still hungry but he won't go for seconds. Or how you sneak potions and healing items into our bags when we're not looking and I know you gave Hyrule some of those magic rings of yours to protect him. Or how you banter with Warrior because you try to keep his stress levels low because he gets flashback of the war and we all know he feels responsible for us even if he has no reason to be. You're quick to point out any puzzles that Four misses... magic eyes and all that."
"Have you been watching me?" He snaps and tries to make his embarrassment with anger.
"Yes, because I find you interesting and I've been wanting to get to know you better but you're one prickly pear." You poke his nose and try to keep walking. "You don't let me."
It's difficult.
"I know you've been watching what weapons Wild goes through and keep track of what he's been using the most, what he's most comfortable with... I think you want to get him something..."
"I'm an apprentice blacksmith... I want to see if there's something that will survive that wild rat." He grumbles.
"Ooohh!! Even better! you want to make him something!"
"I hope your fever erases this from your memory... Make it into one big fever dream."
You laugh and try to hide the grimace from your pounding head. "I know you've helped Twilight with something- he seems a little lighter but I don't know what. And I know you've been watching how much sleep the Old Man gets and I know you've been helping him with it. I know you're watching how much Sky has been fighting and how much he travels and you're quick watch his health and his breathing problems."
"Should I be concerned that you've been watching me this much? Because if it were any other person I'd be fighting you and getting a restraining order. It's weird." Legend huffs and hoists you up a little more, trying to keep you from falling.
"You help so many people." You hiccup and groan, the pain in your head becoming a little more than you can hide. "You're always watching everybody else's back. You don't watch your own."
"Who says that?"
"You take care of everyone else but yourself." You whine and hide your face against his shoulder. "But I've been watching your back. It's ok. I know you wouldn't like it but I care about you too much to let you hurt yourself. Someone has to take care of you if you won't do it yourself."
"I can take care of myself!"
"But you don't."
"Hey!"
"MMmm... Don't yell please." You wince and grip his tunic tighter.
Legend stops for a moment and finally looks at your face. It's flushed completely red and you're beginning to have sweat roll down the side of your head. Legend bites his lip and hides the pause behind the pretend need to adjust his grip.
He can't tell if you've gotten better or worse but he's going to bet worse.
"I'll go get Time. Maybe we can figure how to fix this, ok?" Legend gulps a little and returns to dragging you across the forest.
"Ok."
"The things I do for you people."
"You're a good person."
"Hm."
"Link?"
"What?"
"Thank you." You mumble, right into his ear. "We don't say it often but thank you."
Legend feel the tips of his ears go a little pink and he scoffs. "Don't thank me for anything. I didn't do anything."
"You're a good person."
"I'll chock this up to the fever talking."
Hyrule
Hyrule hisses sharply and can already feel the ominous foreshadowing of the hours to come. "Did you get in a fight? Are you hurt? You're bleeding, that's a dumb question, don't answer that."
"Rule!" You reach your hand out. "Best booooy!!! Hello sweet heart, how are you?"
"What happened to you?" He kneels down beside you and begins to heal the miniscule cuts around your arms and your back. He can feel the magic go down your legs and heal what was torn there and come back up to work on the worst of it.
It's a little more damage that he'd like to admit out loud and he's a little worried that there's monsters nearby that would have caught the scent of your blood.
"I fell in the bush... trying to get berries to eat... I was supposed to find food for Wild to cook but I don't think I can do that any more. It's not good that there's not much to forage." You mumble, relaxed by the suddenness of your pain being relieved and the cuts you've sustained leaving your body.
Hyrule frowns and stops his spell. It's a shame he can't do anything about your clothes.
"I feel funny." You say and lean backwards, over judging the distance and force and nearly send yourself back into the bush behind you.
Hyrule snatches your tunic before you can do that and pulls you toward him. "Be careful... Did the bush do this?"
"I dunno." You shrug and frown as you feel the pain begin to come back. "Are you here to bring me back?"
"I might have to regardless. I think you've been poisoned by the plants."
"I feel funny, not dead."
"Well, let's hope that it doesn't come to that." Hyrule rolls his eyes and wraps your arm around his shoulders. "Come on. We need to get you checked out and see if there's anyway to help you."
He's trying to stay calm... but he hopes that it's mostly you being loopey and not actually in any danger. He doesn't recognize the plant- but he supposes that's a given since it's not his Hyrule and he doesn't know the scale of the dangers around here.
"I have a headache again." You groan and don't even try to help Hyrule in lifting you up.
"I... can't really do anything about that. Sorry." Hyrule sighs and readjusts his grip to lift you higher.
This time you do put a little more effort in standing up and slowly, you begin to make your way back to the camp.
"I'm sorry you have to deal with me right now." You mumble and lean against him. "There's so many others things you could be doing right now."
"I don't mind. I'd rather you be ok than do anything else."
"You're a good person." You roll your head back and look at his side profile. "I hope you get every good thing the universe has to offer Link. May your life be filled with peace and happiness and all sorts of good things."
"Like what?" Hyrule finds himself asking. It stuns him and for a moment and he wonders if he's asking because he doubts he'll have it or if it's merely to get you to elaborate more.
"Like many friends and family and holidays and puppies and kitties and candy and good food and good company and cupcakes and lemonade-" You begin to list off.
Hyrule looks back on his life and the people he's met and everything that's happened to him up until this very moment. Enough so that he ignores the rest of your list and only tunes back in when you've past onto a slightly different topic.
"There's so many little things to enjoy in life, you know. I know you're humble and underestimate yourself and I'm trying to change that because you're absolutely amazing and there's a lot you should be proud and show off a little more because you deserve it but I wish you'd let us show you that. " You roll your head around again and try to match your footsteps to his despite the fog in your brain.
You keep talking.
"It might be presumptuous to say this but I think this group may have been the best thing to have happened to you. And that makes me a little sad."
Hyrule stumbles a little and you follow suit. "Sorry, sorry."
"It's ok. You'd never hurt anyone unless they deserved it." You mumble and try to fight against the now pounding sensation in your head.
"Hurting?"
"Yeah... My headache got worse."
"I'm sorry."
"You apologize too much." You groan. "I can't wait to see the day where you do something completely outrageous and just own it, just unapologetically decide that this is the hill you're going to die on and fight every one else about it."
"That sounds like a lot of effort." Hyrule snorts and raises an eyebrow.
"I can't to see what is the stick that takes you there."
"I don't think that's how the saying goes."
"It is now. I said so."
"Of course. Naturally." Hyrule snorts.
"Link, we're friends right?"
Hyrule nearly stumbles again but catches himself this time. "Of course we are! Whatever made you think otherwise?"
"Nothing." You admit. "But I'd to be the kind of person that's on the list of good things your life. Like that list I was talking about earlier."
"I say you are." Hyrule nods to himself and sees the camp in the distance. Relief flows over him and he nearly sags from it. A smiles graces his face as he turns to you and lets you lean on him a little more. "And I'd die on that hill."
Four
"Oh no no no no no, not good, not good at all!" Four hisses and runs to your side. "Did you eat any? Please tell me you didn't."
"Are they not good?" You tilts your head and try to keep your vision on Four but it's kind of hard to focus on just one of him. You don't remember there being so many Fours.
"No! You're not supposed to eat them! They're highly toxic!" Four grips your shoulders and begins to look over your face and check your eyes.
"Did you eat any?" He asks again, stressing the question more than you think is necessary.
You shake your head.
"Oh thank Hylia."
"I feel in the bush though."
Four groans enough that it sound more like a subdued scream. "Why?"
"I tripped." You giggle and try to stand up. "I heard my name AND FELL~! Hehehehe.."
"Ok. This..." Four sighs and looks around your surroundings for a second. He doesn't find what he's looking for. "...is not ideal."
" 'm sorry." You say and feel your lip start to wobble a little bit. "I didn't mean too."
"No. It's my Hyrule. I should have warned you guys. This is my fault." Four scoots in your direction and wraps his arms under your knees and behind your back.
He effortlessly lifts you up bridal style and doesn't hesitate to begin carrying you back to camp. "Time is going to have my head for this."
"No, he likes you too much." You blinks away what you can and try to think beyond the simple thoughts in front of you. "Everyone likes you. you're a likable person."
"Well thank you, but believe me. There are people who don't me." Four says with a snicker.
"Who are they? I'll fight them. Just say their names."
"You don't know them." Four furrows his eyebrows and chuckles disbelievingly.
"I can find them. And then I'll fight them. How dare they not like you!" You shout to the sky and wave your arm around like it's nobody's business. "You're one of the coolest people I know! That I've ever met! And I've met a lot of people! I've met this group! And you're still the coolest! Tell me their names, Link. I won't stand for this."
"It's not a big deal."
"I'm about to make it one."
"I won't tell you their names." Four shakes his head. Mostly because they're gone already so who cares.
"Then point your fingers Smithy because I'll find them and you won't have to worry about them any more." You say with so much resolution in your voice that Four has to stop himself from laughing out loud.
"Believe me, I don't worry about them."
"Oh so someone else got to them then. Good good."
He loses and laughs anyway. "No, not like that."
"There should be only people who love Link! Link haters are not allowed or welcome! Begone with those thoughts!" You cling to him weakly and Four has to grip you tighter to compensate for your flailing.
"Hold still, you're making this harder than it needs to be." Four snorts and shakes his head. "I deserve this. I deserve this and everything that's about to come. I know it. This is completely my fault."
"It's not your fault my head's hurting." You argue and frown. Because it's true. Your head ache tat you've been sporting since the start of your conversation has grown and it's beginning to be impossible to ignore.
"It kind of is, considering that it's a byproduct of the brumble bush." Four sighs. "Luckily, the antidote is pretty easy to make. The down side is that I'm not sure if I have all the ingredients and we're a little too far away from town to get more. I wonder if Hyrule can do something with his magic to help out... or at least lessen the effects so that it wears off."
"Will it last long?" You mumble and cradle your head in your hand. "I don't like this, Link."
"I don't like this either." He says. "If you didn't eat any of it than you should be fine in a few hours and it'll wear off on it's own but I don't think you want to be like this any longer than you have to be."
"Man, Link you're so smart. You know so much." You sigh and rest what you canon his shoulder. "I'm so glad I'm your friend... that we're friends and I want to keep being your friend. Can we keep being friends? Is it possible to be friends throughout different lifetimes?"
"I don't know but we can certainly try." Four grins and makes it back to camp a little easier now that you're so riled up. "I'm glad we're friends too."
"Yay!" You giggle and lay on the ground with little fan fair and with little convincing. "There's no much we have to do still... as friends and as a group. I love you guys!"
"And we love you!" Four snorts. "Get some sleep- it'll go faster. I'll wake you up when I have the antidote."
"Ok Smithy." You let your head hit the ground and close your eyes.
Four looked over his shoulder to where you are and smiles a little wistfully.
Until Time make his way to camp and eyes your torn and slightly bloody clothes before turning to Four with a raised eyebrow.
Four hisses again and raises his hand. "I can explain."
"You better."

A Lucky Hand - Fives x Fem!Reader
Crossposted on A03
Fives finds himself running low on credits during a game of pazaak with his favorite mechanic, but a risky wager on his end might end up benefitting both of you.
Warnings: SMUT, 18+, Oral Sex (f/m receiving). Drinking, PiV intercourse, (let me know if I miss anything!)
***
“And I win another round! Come on Fives, at this rate you should just hand me all your credits,” You tease at the clone sitting across the table from you. Your smirk is met with a scowl that doesn’t reach his sparkling amber eyes. The 501st is on leave on Coruscant, and they're one of your favorite clone battalions. You work as a mechanic at the military base where their barracks are, and once the war started up you got to know a bunch of the troops as they came through to ask for your help on any equipment they damaged on their last deployment. This is how you got to know Fives particularly well; if something could break, Fives would find the way to do it.
After he had annoyed you enough times by breaking the gear you had just fixed for him, he started to repay you by inviting you to hang out in parts of the base that were off limits to most of the civilian workforce, like the break room you were in this night. A few troopers were scattered around; most had early shifts on the base tomorrow so they couldn’t spend their free time at 79s that particular night. This meant they were entertaining themselves more tamely than usual but for many of the troopers this meant drinking ale and gambling on games or podraces they were watching on the holo, or in Fives and your case Pazaak.
Fives begrudgingly slides you the credits on the table and starts to deal out the next round. He was not a man who took defeat easily. Since his shifts for the day were over, he was only armored from the waist down and has his blacks on top. You’ve been drinking some ale during the night and you couldn’t help but notice the way the fabric clung to his body, particularly his broad chest and hard biceps.
Woah watch it there, you work around a million guys who look the same as him. Once you let those thoughts in there’s no going back. But you’d be lying if you said you weren’t at all attracted to him even without the alcoholic influence. Fives drove you crazy half the time, but he was just so damn hot you let it slide.
“You do have a point,” Fives suddenly spoke up and you’re snapped out of your thoughts. Once you notice he’s looking through his utility belt, you realize he’s answering your previous statement. “You’ve cleaned me out, I don’t have any more to bet tonight. That is…unless you’re not opposed to wagering something a little more interesting?”
You take a sip of your ale, draining the bottle. “And what do you propose?”
Fives looked around the room, making sure none of his brothers were paying too close attention to the two of you. Luckily, they were all focused on their own entertainment. His face broke into a grin as he looked into your eyes and leaned in closer to you.
“If I win this round, you give me a handjob,” he whispered into your ear.
You huff out a laugh to act nonchalant, but the truth is you feel a flutter in your stomach and a flush to your cheek by the suggestion. Everything between you too had just been friendly before, and while Fives had gotten flirty occasionally you never thought he was serious. He was Fives, that’s what he was like with everyone.
“Well, that is an interesting suggestion. What do I get if I win then?” you reply, trying to sound as transactive as possible; like this was some normal deal with a trader.
“If your hand wins, I’ll finish all the reports and paperwork you need to do for any 501st related repairs while we’re on this leave.” Ok, this got you excited but not in the core warming way his previous suggestion did; that would be a big relief on your workload. And hey, his hand has been terrible all night, luck seems to be in your favor.
“All right, you’re on.” You smirk and he flashes that devilish grin at you.
You win the first round easily; Fives was being very conservative with his hand and didn’t seem to want to play too many cards. He either has nothing in his deck, or he’s really holding out for something big.
The second round lasts a few minutes longer, but you overdraw your cards and Fives wins which meant the match was tied before the 3rd and final round. Fives teasingly stretches his arms over his head, making you roll your eyes at him.
The third round goes on the longest; you had used up most of your set deck already so you were being careful to not overdraw again, but you play your last card. You didn’t reach the 20 total needed to win, but being at 19 you felt confident in your choice. Fives drew another card from the deck, that pushes his total to 22. If you finished the round with a number over 20, that meant you lost so you begin to shift back in your seat and put your feet up on the table.
“Sorry, Fives, better luck ne-,” you start but he cuts you off, wagging a finger in your direction. He places his last card on the table: a -2. Making his total 20, and him the winner. You couldn’t help but shake your head in disbelief as the clone copied your victorious pose – stretching back with his arms behind his head and his feet coming to rest on the table as those amber eyes locked with yours.
***
“OK Listen, I was being a little shit. I had a terrible hand; I didn’t think I would actually win. You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to.” You brought Fives back to your workshop in the base – the best place you could think of for some privacy. It was late so all the other mechanics should have left already. It was small, but there was enough space for a worktable and the small bench that you and Fives are sitting at. His voice was soft; you knew he could be a bit of an ass, but you knew he was being honest and the last thing he would want to do was make you uncomfortable.
“Nope, I don’t back out of a deal.” You smirk at him and his edge seemed to come back once he accepted that you were ok with this. Your hand rests on his armored thigh and slowly makes its way up to his codpiece. “Besides, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little bit curious about what you’ve got going on under all the armor.”
A devilish grin grows on his face as his own hand meets yours. He fiddles with the straps on his codpiece and pulls It away, revealing an already sizeable bulge in his blacks. He pulls your hand onto him and holds it there. You feel your core flutter as he hardens in your hand.
“Well, I’m more than happy to show off for you, baby,” His voice is lower and has a raspy edge to it. You push his hand aside and slowly undo his pants, releasing his cock. You slowly grasp your hand around the base of him, and you can’t help but lick your lips looking at it. His tan cock is thick and long, and already swollen at your light touch. His breath is low at your touch, he places a hand on your shoulder, wordlessly begging you to move.
You take your hand away for a second to lick it and you firmly hold him again. You slowly began to stroke up and down, feeling his velvety soft skin in your hand. You flick your thumb over his head, smearing a bit of the precum that was already leaking from it. You can’t help but want to taste him. You increase your pace and Fives’s grip on your shoulder tightens, his breath increasing. You look at his face, he smiles back at you, his pupils blown out and filled with lust.
“I had a hunch you would be good with your hands.” He breathed out, trying to hold onto his composure. You wanted to wreck that pretty face. As you continue working his cock up and down in your hand, he sighs out and bends his head backward, hitting the wall. You take this pause in attention to bend your head down and start licking the head of his cock.
“Fuck!” he cursed out, sighing your name. You slowly move off the bench to kneel in front of him. You continue to jerk him and lick a long strip up the underside of his cock. “That wasn’t part of the deal.”
“Oh well, if you’re not happy with it I can always stop,” you tease and his eyes darken with hunger. He responds by placing a hand on the back of your head and grabbing a fistful of your hair.
“I’m more than happy sweetheart. I’ve been thinking about what those pretty lips would look like wrapped around my cock for ages.” He gently guides your head back to him, and you open up wide to take more of him in.
You start slowly, he’s so thick it’s hard to fit him all in. You press your tongue underneath his hard cock as you slowly bob up and down on him, using your hand to help jerk the rest of him. Once you adjust, you push him further into your mouth until you feel him hitting your throat. His hips thrust up, trying to feel more of you and his hand presses your head closer into him. You feel your gag reflex kicking in as he releases you, gasping for air as you come up.
“Was that, ok?” Fives asks, and once you smile and assure him it is, he grasps your hair again. “I want to fuck your pretty mouth; can I do that sweetheart?”
“Yes, use me” you gasp, and he doesn’t waste a second. He slides himself back into your mouth and begins thrusting himself while holding your head in place, hitting the back of your throat with each stroke. You’re so turned on by this, having this strong man use you to chase his pleasure. You reach one of your hands in between your legs, rubbing your clit over your jumpsuit, just trying to appease your needs with any form of friction. Fives notices and groans.
“Is this turning you on? Me choking you with my dick?” He grunts while thrusting into you. You hum in agreement, the vibration giving him more pleasure. His head knocks back against the wall, beads of sweat appearing at his forehead. He’s close. “Fuck, I’m gonna come down that pretty throat of yours. Then, I’m gonna eat that pretty pussy of yours, you like the sound of that?”
You moan and look up at him, pulling your head away from his grasp. He looks wrecked, ready to cum and he’s about to push your head back down when you say, “Let me finish you off.”
His hand is still on your head but not pulling you down anymore. His cock is coated with your saliva, and you jerk him rapidly again then take him back into your hollowed out mouth, You use both of your hands, twisting as you jerk him and suck on his head. He starts gasping your name, warning you he’s about to come. You slide him completely into your mouth, where his tip is partially down your throat as you feel his cock twitch in your mouth and taste his thick, salty cum spurt in your mouth. He holds you down while he thrusts out his orgasm. You swallow as he’s already pulling you up off the ground into his lap and crushes your lips with a kiss.
“You’re wearing too much.” His voice is raspy from his release, but he’s focused on fulfilling his earlier promise to you. His hand finds the zipper at the front of your jumpsuit, and he tugs it down to your waist, his lips never leaving yours. He roughly pulls down the shoulders, leaving you in just your bra from the waist up. He moves his kisses down to your neck, and he sucks a love bite right where the collar line of your suit would have been.
You feel like putty in his strong hands, moaning at even his softest touches. He grabs one of your breasts over your bra, his thumb rubbing where your nipples are peaking through. He uses his free hand to reach around you and effortlessly undoes the clasp on your bra. He leans back to stare at your exposed chest, eyes glancing over every inch of you and back up to meet you own. You feel yourself blush, but you’re hungry for more. You lean back in to kiss him more, and he slides his tongue into your mouth. He wraps your legs around his waist and slowly rises. He carries you over to your worktable, where he uses his arms to clear off the paperwork and tools that had been sitting there.
“Sorry if any of that was important,” He mumbles into your mouth. He places you at the edge of the table and makes quick work of removing the rest of your jumpsuit, leaving you in just your panties before him. He gently pushes you backward onto the table, kissing along your neck and sucking at each nipple before he moves his way down your body.
Your breath hitches as he reaches your hips, leaving another love bite as he gets there. His hands spread your legs open for him, propped against the edge of the table. His kisses trail over your panties and you can feel his breath on your clothed entrance. He lets out a dark chuckle.
“So wet, and I’ve barely even touched you. Someone’s needy.” He places a kiss right over your clit and you feel like you’re ready to lose any control you had over your urges. His fingers reach around the waistband of your panties as he slides them down your legs. He spreads your legs again, lifting one to rest on his should as he caresses and kiss it; his goatee offering a ticklish yet pleasurable sensation. He takes his time teasing you, kissing and licking around your joints and hip bones, his calloused hands squeezing your thighs. You begin to whimper under his touch, trying to rotate your hips so he’ll pay attention to the one area he’s ignored.
“Need something, mesh’la?” He grins up at you.
“Dammit Fives, touch me!”
“I already am, you need to be more specific than that. And maybe try asking nicer?” That little shit.
“Please, Fives. Your mouth. I need it. On me. Please.” You prop yourself on your elbows to look at him. God, you want to wipe that cocky grin off his face, but you need him too much to fight him right now.
“You’re so pretty when you beg.” And he dives right in.
His tongue licks a stripe up your slit and you can’t hold your moan in. He uses his fingers to open up your folds as his tongue finds your clit. He flicks it expertly, keeping his eyes one you as you began to fall apart under his mouth. He takes your clit in his mouth and sucks gently at first, reading your reactions. He switches up between sucking and licking, swirling his tongue, and lightly grazing his teeth around your sensitive bud, causing you to cry out in pleasure. He’s too good at this, damn him for being so good at this. You have too much pent-up attraction in your system, too much of a need for him, you’re going to come soon.
You can’t prop yourself up anymore, and you fall back onto the table. Your hands search for anything to grab onto, to ground yourself in the moment. His tongue continues its onslaught against your clit, Fives is using one of his hands to press your hip down, preventing you from moving too much. Just when you think you can’t be more overwhelmed, you feel one of his thick fingers pressing into your entrance. You moan and clench around him, but he can tell you want more so he slips a second finger in. He slows his tongue to match the speed of his fingers dragging in and out of you, only to increase his pace as your body welcomes him in.
“So tight around my fingers, baby. Can’t wait to feel you around my cock.” Your moans start to pitch higher and higher, your release imminent. He can tell you’re almost there, his fingers press even deeper into you and curve slightly, finding that spongy spot inside of you. You cry out louder.
“Yes, please Fives! Right there!”
He doesn’t relent his pace with his fingers as his mouth latches to suck around your clit. You can’t string two thoughts together; all you can focus on is the electricity pulsing through your body. All you can hear are your moans and the filthy noise from his fingers and mouth pleasuring your pussy. Your legs are quaking around his head, your hips fighting to leave the table but being held into place by your source of pleasure. You’re able to glance down at Fives and the lustful but focused look in his golden eyes is enough to push you over the edge. Your eyes roll back as your orgasm hits you like a speeder. His fingers work you through it as your pussy flutters around him, and his tongue laps up your release. Once your breathing settles, he pulls his fingers from you and makes eye contact as he sucks them clean.
“You’re even sweeter than I imagined.” You’re still sprawled on the table as he stands up and removes the top of his blacks. You’re in recovery from your release, but you feel yourself clench as you look over his sculpted, tan body. You almost moan when you notice his cock, still free from your earlier work is now hard again as he removes what was left of his armor. He notices the hungry look on your face. “Bet I can get you to come again, this time on my cock.”
Your energy perks up and you’re able to lift yourself up again, and you teasingly wave your hips at him, showing off your entrance, still glistening from your orgasm. One of his hands grabs your hip to steady you, while the other strokes his cock and lines it up against your entrance. He slides it up and down your slit, whacking it against your sensitive clit. You shake in his grip and his eyes gleam as he slowly presses into you.
You’re still wet from your release and his fingers had worked you up, but you still have a hard time accepting his thickness. You feel him splitting you open, but the slight edge of pain is overpowered by the pleasure. Fives bottoms out in you and pauses, giving you a moment to adjust to him. You had never been so full and the sensation is almost too much. Your arms lift and grasp onto his biceps, needing to hold onto him for proof this wasn’t some dream.
One of his hands reaches behind you to the small of your back to keep you propped up. His other is gripping your hip, grounding himself as he’s ready to take what he wants. But he has to briefly control himself. He bends down, kissing you on your forehead.
“You feel so good, I won’t be able to last long. Are you ready?” He asks as his kisses trail down to your mouth. You deepen the kiss, gathering his bottom lip in your mouth and lightly bite on it making him groan.
“Fuck me, Fives. I’m off tomorrow, so I don’t need to walk.” You whisper and that’s all he needs.
He pulls himself out and then thrusts all the way back in, hitting your deepest spot. You barely reacted when he’s already moving again, unrelenting in his pace as he aims for that pleasure spot with every single thrust. He holds you against him, smacking your hips into his. Your nails digging deeper into his arm, and you’re turned on at the thought of him secretly walking around tomorrow with your marks on him. His pace is harder than it is quick, and you feel him drag in your pussy with every movement, almost as if you can feel every vein and ridge on his cock. Your pussy is holding him in a vice like grip, and as your legs wrap around his waist he groans as he feels you move around him.
Your head starts to roll back, and his hand that was on your back moves to the back of your neck to hold you in place, making you keep eye contact locked with him. He’s in complete control of your body, his strong arms able to hold you and fuck you like a rag doll. The tension starts to build in your body again, building to another peak.
Fives pulls out and you whine from the loss of him, but then he flips you onto your stomach, your ass up and legs dangling off the table. He uses his legs to spread yours further apart as he bends over, licking a line up your spine. He bites at the back of your neck, grabs a fistful of your hair to angle your face with his as he kisses you. He slams his cock back into you and you cry out; you won’t have a voice tomorrow.
“I’m close, can I come inside this pretty pussy?” he pants into your ear as he slowly drags his cock in and out of you. You were on birth control, so you knew you would be fine.
“Yes, please, fill me up Fives!” you gasp, grinding your ass back into him to meet his movements. He kisses you again then slides his hand back to your hips and begins a brutal pace.
If you thought you hadn’t been filled before, this angle makes you feel him in places you didn’t think were possible. His body pushing into you more and more with each thrust, you’re sure you’ll have bruises on your hips from his hands and marks on your legs from the edge of the desk. You start to lift yourself, but he uses on hand on your back to press you back down, your cheek turned to the side pressed against the surface so you’re able to see him ravish you from the corner of your eye.
He’s hitting your deepest spot with every thrust, quickly propelling you closer and closer to your second orgasm. Your body is wrecked as he fucks into you. Your vision is blurry, you can’t focus on anything, and your head is filled with your combined moans and the sinfully delightful slap of his hips against your ass and his dick in your pussy. You won’t be able to focus on any of your next projects when you’re on your next shift, all you’ll be able to think of is how this Arc Trooper bent you over your desk and fucked you into another galaxy. Your whole body begins to tense, and you feel a euphoric sensation take over your body. You were already on your way to the strongest orgasm you ever had, when his hand reached around for your clit and his calloused finger pads start rubbing it. You’re pushed past the point of no return.
You scream out but you can’t hear it, you see white and the only thing grounding you to the planet is the sensation of him fucking you through your climax. You call out his name countless times as he fucks you through it, your pussy squeezing him to the point where he can’t hold on any longer and, with a cry of your name, he fills you with hot streams of cum.
He collapses onto you, both of you breathing together and still joined. Slowly he gets up and pulls himself out of you. You nearly roll off the table, but he catches you and picks you up just to bring you down to the floor with him. He holds you in his arms there, allowing you to catch your breath. His golden eyes don’t leave your face as he brushes tears you don’t even realize you had shed off your cheeks. He smiles at you and his eyes twinkle as he leans down to kiss your forehead.
“I’m glad I lost that bet,” you joke, making him laugh and bend down for another kiss.

「 hq masterlist 」
“I assure you, you don’t have to walk me to my apartment.”
“It’s not a bother. I insist.”
“No, it’s fine.” Although you tried to keep a smile on your face, you were certain it looked more like you were baring your teeth at him. “Really. You don’t have to do that.”
Ushijima shrugged. “I told you, it’s no big deal.”
Your grin turned into a grimace as you stepped outside the car and headed towards your apartment complex. You managed to grit out, “Great. Thanks.”
A friend from your class had told you they had a friend of a friend who saw an Instagram post of you and thought you were cute. After they showed you a picture of him, you said the same. Little did you know it would lead to a mess of a date set up by said friend.
The date was at a karaage chicken place and it was filled with the most uncomfortable silences you had sat through since office hours with a professor who you were sure hated you. Ushijima was nice enough and it wasn’t the worst date ever, but the two of you just did not click. You figured it was partly your fault for agreeing to meet with him despite not having a single clue about his interests and never having talked to him once, but it was too late to undo it now.
He was a gentleman, at least. Offered to pay, held your seat out for you, drove you to your apartment complex, and, now, was trying to walk you to your doorstep.
The thing was, you did not want him to know where you lived.
You didn’t get red flags or feel threatened by any means, but having a guy you went on one uncomfortable date with know your exact address wasn’t really something that sat well with you. You’ve heard enough college horror stories to be wary. But, you didn’t have the heart to tell him explicitly not to walk you home… So the only solution?
Head to your friend’s apartment in the same complex instead.
“Do you know where you’re going?” asked Ushijima, examining you as your eyes darted around from building to building.
You’d been to Iwaizumi’s apartment before, but that didn’t stop you from looking lost and confused in this maze of houses. And it didn’t help to have Ushijima’s semi-condescending gaze on you the whole time. The worst part was, you were almost certain he didn’t even mean to be condescending— He just was. To you, at least. It definitely rubbed you the wrong way during the date.
“Yeah,” you laughed, walking past your apartment, “of course I know where my own apartment is.”
Iwaizumi’s place was just a few buildings north of yours, which you were quick to remember after catching sight of your place. You briefly wondered if he would be home on a Friday night, but quickly decided it wasn’t important. It’s not like you would be entering his house anyway. In fact, if all went well, he might never even know you were outside his apartment to begin with.
The plan was to have Ushijima drop you off at the doorstep (since he so unwaveringly insisted that he had to and it was no trouble for him to do so), tell him goodbye, fumble with your bag to “look for your keys” as he walked off, then—when he was out of sight—dash to your apartment and lock yourself in your bedroom for the remainder of the night.
A foolproof plan.
“Well, we’re here!” you chirped, standing outside Iwaizumi’s door labeled 237E. You whirled around to face Ushijima. “Thanks for walking me. See you around!”
“Of course.” He nodded but made no move to leave.
Your smile wavered. Was he waiting for you to enter your house safely? If he didn’t seem so innocent, it would’ve been incredibly creepy.
“Err,” you drawled, ruffling through your bag. “I’m just finding my keys. You can leave now; I don’t want to keep you any longer!”
“It’s not a problem.”
Your right eye twitched. What did he think could possibly happen in the time it took you to unlock your door and enter? While it was sweet—in a very suffocating way—it wasn’t what you wanted. After the bad date that was disappointing for the both of you, you expected him to eat his food and dip. Not see you all the way into your house despite the fact that, deep down, he’d much rather be in his own home. It was domineeringly kind.
Didn’t he understand how stressful this could be for someone? His obliviousness was overbearing, but you supposed you couldn’t blame Ushijima when you didn’t verbalize your discomfort to him.
“Everything okay?” he asked for what felt like the fifth time that night.
You chuckled nervously. “I guess I…can’t find my keys?” Looking at him sheepishly, you scratched the back of your head. “But, my roommates will probably be home soon! Or, they might be here now. I’ll just ring the doorbell when you leave!”
Ushijima blinked. “Why not ring the doorbell now?”
“R-Right,” you stammered, unsure whether you wanted to rip your hair out or cry in frustration. Maybe both would be good. “That’s smart. I can do that.”
He looked at you expectantly.
You winced, bringing your pointer finger to the white button of the doorbell. Before you even had the time to gather the courage to press it, the door swung open suddenly, startling you enough to let out a small yelp.
“Ah—! Iwaizumi!” you cried, eyes wide as you stared face to face with your very confused-looking friend. He glanced between you and Ushijima with a questioning expression, but you rambled on before he could say anything. “Hey there, roomie!” You batted your lashes, pleading with him to play along. “I forgot my keys again.”
Iwaizumi’s face displayed a look of pure confusion and you were certain he must never have gotten any acting awards when he was younger. His expression became even more puzzled when you wiggled your way inside the door, standing snugly next to his side.
After an awkward silence, you continued again, “Well, thanks for walking me Ushijima-san! And thank you for the date. Maybe I’ll see you around.”
If he noticed anything suspicious going on, he didn’t show it. Instead he simply nodded and wished you a goodnight.
Yup, there was definitely no chance of Ushijima wanting to ask you out on a second date. Not that you were complaining.
You shut the door—the door to an apartment that wasn’t even your own, mind you—and let out a sigh of relief. With your eyes closed and your back resting against the wall, you momentarily forgot you were standing in the entrance of Iwaizumi’s living room. That was, until you started feeling his heavy gaze on you.
Gulping at the intensity, you cracked your right eye open ever so slightly. “Yes?” you asked innocently.
“Yes?” repeated Iwaizumi incredulously, voice raised in exasperation. “You want to explain what just happened here?”
You had a sudden interest in your shoes as you shuffled in place. Iwaizumi was your friend and someone you considered yourself semi-close to— Comfortable enough to hang out with regularly and talk with almost every day, but not someone that you confided in with no qualms. And definitely not someone close enough for it to be normal to show up at his place unannounced. You were much closer to his best friend, Oikawa, but that was largely due to him finding out you had a big crush on Iwaizumi a number of months ago and feeling the need to tease you endlessly. Apparently, nothing brought people together like relentless goading.
“Another bad date,” you answered with a noncommittal tone. “A friend set me up with that guy you saw, Ushijima, and the date was so awkward.”
He folded his arms across his chest, pulling his white t-shirt snug around his biceps. You tried not to let your eyes bug out of their sockets at the sight. “And yet you let him bring you home?”
“I couldn’t say no! I tried dropping hints but he just didn’t get it.” You looked up, a sheepish half-smile on your face. “But I was smart enough not to bring him to my apartment. Hence why I came here. Roomie.”
Iwaizumi let out an exasperated half-chuckle, half-sigh as he motioned for you to come further inside. You slipped off your shoes at the doorway and followed him into the living room, taking a seat on the couch next to him. He rested his arm against the headrest of the sofa and you were consciously aware of his hand mere inches behind your head.
“Are your other housemates here?” you asked, curious as to why there wasn’t the usual amount of chatter and rage gaming from inside their respective rooms.
He shook his head. “They’re all back at their hometowns for the weekend.”
“And poor Iwa-chan is home all alone on a Friday night instead of out partying with friends?” you teased, reaching over to pat the top of his head mockingly.
Glaring at you for the nickname, he lightly swatted your hand away. “You’ve been spending too much time with Oikawa. His shittyness is rubbing off on you.” There was the slightest hint of amusement in his voice to let you know he was only joking. “And being home alone is better than being stuck with a bad date.”
“Ouch,” you cried, crossing one leg over the other and sticking your tongue out at him. “Yeah, sure, I would rather have been curled up in my bed than go on that date— But you didn’t have to call me out like that.” You pouted. “At least I got free food, I guess.”
He rolled his eyes with a snort. “If you were uncomfortable, you could’ve called me to come pick you up.”
Despite his gruff voice, there was a look of concern on his face. His eyebrows were furrowed and the corners of his mouth were downturned. Iwaizumi’s offer made you feel warm in the stomach, even if you were sure he was just saying it out of courtesy.
“Or better yet,” he continued in a murmur, “don’t let your friends set you up on dates with guys you barely know, dumbass.”
“Hey! Aren’t you and Oikawa the ones always telling me I need to go out and date more in the first place?” you said, huffing at his insult.
They told you your college years were your prime dating years and you might regret not going out with a variety of people now. When else would you have the free time and the patience to date, anyway? That was part of the reason you agreed to blind dates and set ups, after all. If Iwaizumi was insisting you date around, that most certainly meant he didn’t reciprocate your feelings for him. Meaning, you had to get over him somehow before the hurt could kick in, even if that somehow included less than ideal fraternization.
“I never said that,” he grumbled, shaking his head. “Why would I tell you to go on dates with other people? It was just Oikawa who said you should.”
You blinked in confusion. “But you were there and you nodded in agreement.”
He shifted his body to get a better look at you, a scowl on his face. “I did not. You were drunk and you probably thought my head was moving when it wasn’t.”
“Well, you were drunk too! Maybe your head was moving and you just didn’t know.” The lines between his forehead deepened and you laughed, unable to stop yourself from tapping the wrinkles with your ring finger. “Don’t think too hard; you might hurt your brain.”
“You really have been spending too much time with Shittykawa,” he said with a defeated sigh. “But whatever you think I said back then, it’s probably not what I meant. You shouldn’t date anyone unless you want to.”
The thing was, you did want to date someone. Iwaizumi. You were just under the impression he didn’t want to date you.
You shrugged. “What about you? Have you been dating people you don’t want to?”
He shook his head. “No. I haven’t dated anyone recently,” he admitted, averting his gaze from you for the first time that night. “I actually...am interested in someone, though.”
Your stomach dropped. Oh.
“But I don’t think they like me.”
Trying not to show him the crestfallen expression on your face, you looked down at your lap. You had been mentally preparing yourself to accept that Iwaizumi didn’t have a crush on you like you had on him—you were ready to face the harsh reality—but you were not expecting him to tell you he liked someone else on top of that. That was just a double blow to your gut.
You forced out a laugh, hoping it didn’t sound too strained. “That’s silly. Of course they like you.”
“I didn’t even tell you who it was.”
“Don’t need to,” you said diffidently, fingers toying with a loose thread on the blue sofa. “I already know. There’s no way someone wouldn’t like you back.”
Iwaizumi snorted disdainfully. “I wouldn’t be too sure about that. Them going on dates with other people and telling me about them after seems to be a solid indicator that they don’t.”
You froze, letting go of the string you accidentally pulled from the couch. Now, you wouldn’t say you were an overly optimistic person, but you still couldn’t help but think the situation he described was oddly familiar to yours. There was a large chance he was referring to someone else, but with the way you felt his smoldering gaze on your body, you wondered if maybe, just maybe, he could be talking about you.
“Maybe they think you don’t like them so they’re going on those dates to get rid of their crush on you— But only because they thought you told them to do so! And, honestly, the dates probably aren’t helping at all on getting rid of the crush; it just makes it get even bigger and bigger as they realize they can’t like anyone the same way they like you and now they don’t know what to do,” you babbled, unable to stop the word vomit.
After processing the words that you had just uttered, you slapped your hands over your mouth to shut yourself up. That was a little more than you had originally wanted to say… Okay, a lot more. You winced. You wanted to subtly hint that you were talking about yourself, not be so obvious as to yell it out with a megaphone and have a blinking billboard pointing your way.
Idiot, idiot, idiot.
You could only hope Iwaizumi was oblivious enough to let this whole thing go and assume that you were only speaking hypothetically. But he was smarter than that. You knew it. He may be a little dense when it came to romance, but even he couldn’t be dumb enough to misunderstand your conspicuous slip up.
Your stomach churned as you awaited his response.
“So,” he spoke slowly, keeping his cautious regard on you, “Oikawa was right?”
You blinked. That wasn’t the response you were expecting. But things just didn’t seem to go as planned today, you supposed. “What do you mean?”
“You do like me, then?”
“W-What? When did…” You gaped, trailing off as your throat tightened. “He told you that?”
“A month ago, he told me he thought you might like me,” Iwaizumi admitted, a rosy red darkening the apples of his cheeks. “But that was before you started going on those crazy dates, so I figured he was wrong.”
A cry of indignation escaped your lips as you heard the news. “Seriously?”
He nodded.
“No way!” you sputtered in disbelief. “He found out I liked you months ago— At the beginning of the school year! And then last month, Oikawa told me I should to get over you by going on a bunch of dates.”
Your brows were furrowed and arms folded as you glared into the sky, wishing Oikawa were there so you could yell at him for making a fool of you. Iwaizumi caught your gaze with a disgruntled look of his own.
“What on earth?” you groaned, burying your face in your palms.
“I’ll kick his ass the next time I see him,” Iwaizumi vowed.
“Please,” you muttered, a thousand thoughts racing through your mind.
Oikawa knew you had a crush on Iwaizumi. Why would he tell him behind your back? And was Iwaizumi’s response negative? Is that why Oikawa told you to date to get over him? Trying to understand Oikawa’s thought process was enough to almost give you a headache.
“But, wait,” said Iwaizumi quietly, effectively interrupting your train of thoughts. “Months?”
You peeked at him through the cracks between your fingers. “Huh?”
“You said you liked me for months now? Since the start of this school year?”
The heat rose to your cheeks in embarrassment. “T-That’s not the point—!”
“Because I’ve liked you for a few months now too,” he interrupted before you could deny anything. Your eyes shot open as you stared straight at Iwaizumi, just now noticing the serious expression on his face.
Was this a confession?
“Ever since that night we ditched our friends to stay inside and watch Godzilla instead of going to the party.” He shared a small, slightly sheepish smile with you as he recalled the memory.
In the beginning of the year before classes had started but everyone had already moved into their respective apartments, Oikawa decided everyday of the week leading up to the first day of school would be a good day to get shit-faced drunk. It was fun for the first three days, but by day four you were getting worn out, and by day five, just the thought of consuming one more jello shot made you shudder.
So when Iwaizumi—who you had then only recently realized you had a crush on—suggested you two sneak away to his empty apartment and watch some movies instead, you were more than happy to oblige.
“I thought you looked...cute that night,” Iwaizumi managed, his voice gruff and tentative. “It was funny how you were scared by the movies even though it was hardly even horror.” He snorted at the recollection, hints of a grin playing on his face. “And I may have realized then that I had already started liking you.”
You bit the inside of your lip to keep your face from splitting into a beam. Your eyes were wide open, almost as if you were in a daze and were only dreaming the events of this night had happened. Iwaizumi shoved his hands in his sweatpants’ pockets, ducking his head to hide his delight at this situation.
“You like me too?” you asked breathlessly. There was still a tone of disbelief in your voice.
He nodded. “Have for a while now. But I didn’t tell Oikawa about it until last month. And that’s when he said he thought you liked me back.”
At his words, you visibly relaxed. So Oikawa didn’t blab about your crush on his best friend— Though, in all honesty, maybe if he had, you could’ve had a relationship with him sooner. You leaned your head back against the headrest of the couch with a sigh. “Then if he knew you liked me, why did he tell me to date other people that night we were all out drinking together?”
“To piss me the fuck off.”
You laughed in surprise, not expecting Iwaizumi to sound so furious.
“He probably wanted to get me to disagree with him, that dumbass,” he hissed, a scowl forming on his face. Even with his nose scrunched and forehead crinkled, you thought Iwaizumi was as handsome as ever.
“Maybe Oikawa thought you wouldn’t confess without his help so he wanted to push your buttons and make you jealous by seeing me date other people,” you said, chuckling at the audacity of this situation.
Iwaizumi apparently didn’t share your amusement, since his scowl deepened. “I would’ve confessed without his unwanted help,” he grunted. But you knew he wasn’t too annoyed by his best friend. Oikawa never had any ill-intentions towards the two of you, and you both were aware of that. “I was a little jealous, though,” he admitted with flushed cheeks. “And I may have gotten a bit happier every time you told me afterwards that you didn’t like your date—especially tonight.”
You smiled shyly at him, only mildly embarrassed by the routine you two had picked up. Go on a date (usually prompted by Oikawa), wish your date was Iwaizumi the whole time, go home, message Iwaizumi about your bad date, repeat. But in today’s case, you went to him in person instead of texting.
“But I was dreading that one night you’d message saying your date went well,” he said, hands balled up into fists and gaze downcast. “Or worse— Not message that night at all.”
Your expression turned somber as you realized that while you were casually dating around to try to get over Iwaizumi, he was there watching you go out with other people. A feeling of guilt spread through you as you bowed your head slightly, wishing you had taken the chance to tell him your feelings instead of trying to toss them aside.
“Iwaizumi, I’m so sorry,” you said. “I didn’t even think about how it could be affecting you.”
“Hey, it’s okay.” He placed his closed hand on the top of your head, making you look up at him. He nodded once. “You didn’t know. And Assikawa was the one pushing you to go on dates you didn’t want,” he said wryly, though his tone was more amused than bitter. “But maybe now you don’t have to keep going on those bad dates anymore.”
Your heart skipped a beat at his words. Was he offering—?
“Y’know,” he said, “if you… If we…”
“Went on a date?” you completed, hesitant but hopeful. “With each other, I mean.”
“Yes. With each other.” He held his breath. “What do you think?”
After a beat of silence, your face split into a grin. You practically jumped off the couch in excitement, bouncing towards Iwaizumi to tackle him into a hug. He let out a surprised grunt, but caught you in his arms nonetheless.
“I think you could’ve saved me loads of wasted nights if you had asked a month earlier!” you laughed, burrowing your face into his chest— His very strong, very muscular chest that had no business being this comfortable. “To think all this time I could’ve been going on dates with you instead of random people I end up blocking a day after?”
His right hand rested between your shoulder blades while his left was lightly cupping the back of your head. He chuckled and you felt the vibrations through his thin t-shirt.
“We’ll have plenty of time to make up for it now,” he said, voice warm and inviting. “We can catch up on dates this whole weekend. Or just rewatch all of Godzilla again.”
“That sounds like the perfect date weekend.” The grin on your face never left as you stayed tangled in his arms. “And your roommates aren’t back until Monday, hmm?”
He titled his head down at you to see your expression, the corner of his mouth quirked upward as he smirked. “Yup. They’ll be gone all weekend.”
You two exchanged knowing looks, causing you to wiggle your eyebrows suggestively and make him laugh. His ears turned red and when you pointed it out he got even redder. You smiled at each other as you held him even tighter.
It didn’t matter what you two would be doing this weekend. All you cared about was getting to spend more time with Iwaizumi.
“Then we most definitely have a lot of catching up to do.”
