Imagining Pony’s first serious nightmare after his parents die. How normally he’d wake up from his nightmares crying and a little shaky. But this time he wakes up screaming, he’s hyperventilating, shaking, and he can’t calm down, why can’t he calm down.

And immediately Soda is in his room trying to comfort him but it isn’t working. Why isn’t it working? It normally works. But it doesn’t.

And then Soda is carrying Pony into Darry’s room. And when Darry wakes up and sees them, he’s sees two scared little kids. Pony is curled into Soda’s arms and looks smaller and younger than ever. Soda has a terrified look in his eyes at the fact that he can’t calm his baby brother down, he looks like a scared kid himself. Then Soda is collapsing into Darry’s bed. And Pony is crawling into Darry’s arms while Soda is tucking himself against Darry’s side. And only when Pony is firmly against Darry’s chest, listening to his heart, can he finally whisper out what will help him. He asks for his mom. And that’s all he can say. A quiet cry just repeating “I want mama”. And Darry wishes more than anything he could help, but that’s one of the few things Darry can’t give him. So he just holds his baby brothers and whispers “I know”. Because what else could he do?

And eventually Pony calms down a bit more. Eventually Soda is curled up against Darry’s side and Darry’s shoulder is a little dryer. Eventually, they can find themselves settled into a light sleep. With Soda laying up against Darry with his head tucked in Darry’s neck and with Pony laying his head on Darry’s chest. With Darry having one arm around each brother, wishing more than anything, that he could shield them from all the pain.

Idk why, but something about the party immediately thinking that, if anything happens to Gricko, Kremy and Gideon would be left to raise Hootsie, makes me incredibly happy for some reason. And the fact that Kremy was actually WORRIED about being good adoptive dads to Hootsie if anything actually did happen to Gricko (which, since Kremy wasn’t aware of the fact that Gricko was alive yet, was a genuine concern on his part).

And also Gideon taking one look at Twig and mentally adopting her (even if he doesn’t realize it). I mean, look at the way he treats her!!!! He gave her a piggyback ride for fucks sake!!! And he also cut a rabbit in half for trying to attack her when she was down!!!!

TW- Talking about self harm and self harm scars

I keep seeing fanart of Dazai with self harm scars and I have thoughts. Listen- I don’t have an issue with that. I actually believe Dazai is the kind of character to self harm however, not in the typical sense.

One thing people often forget about self harm is that it come in many forms. Most things can fall under that if done with the intention to inflict harm upon yourself. Drinking, pulling hair, not eating, holding your breath, scratching, taking scolding hot showers, isolation, and so much more can all be considered self harm.

Dazai in particular would have self destructive like those I just listed instead of cutting. Dazai hates pain, that is one thing made extremely clear throughout the show. He will go out of his way to avoid pain unless he sees no other way to. Tearing open your arm with a razor hurts and that’s the effect most people who self harm like that want. Dazai on the other hand would no want that. Like I said he hates pain.

I could go more into detail with my specific headcanons but I won’t because this is meant to be focusing solely on canon.

To sum up, Dazai is the type of character to self harm however, it would be in the none-typical sense.
