They keep on ‘accidentally’ bumping into each other (hanging out) throughout the alliance plot when challenges aren’t happening

and th animation for that portion is amazing too. the glowing stripes on posideons sides and the flashes of lightning and the blood on the trident and the way posideons body lurches as odysseus stabs him AH and ofc that final line. THAT LINE HOLY SHIT

There is such a detail in the dsmp/qsmp that many either dont know or dont remember. It's good that I'm here to share it with you.

Tubbo, Phil, a family dynamic that doesn't exist.

I know that many people don't like the concept of the past with Dream SMP, but let's assume that it was, I don't know, a parallel universe, a past life or something like that. It's not important, I just. . . I circle the silhouettes. So.

Canonically dsmp!Phil and Wilbur found dsmp!Tubbo in a box on the side of the road. However, it has never been canonically confirmed that he was adopted after that. In fact, people very rarely treat him as part of the Minecraft family (or Craft, or whatever else you call them. To sleepy bois, in short). He exists as an appendage to Tommy, to Phil he's just "my son's best friend" or something like that. He's not like an "unloved son", he's basically not a son.

And at the same time, Tubbo most likely either grew up in their house, or in some way nearby - he eventually became friends with Tommy and everyone else, right? And then he had to watch this family collapse, and Phil basically becomes his enemy.

And now the same thing, but q!Tubbo and Phil. Tubbo is pulled out of the ice box, Phil helps him, and Tubbo calls him his protector, he becomes the godfather for Chayanne and Tallulah. Tubbo considers Phil an authority, his opinion and his assessment are so important to him that he is afraid of him. He is so afraid of him that he simply cannot raise a sword against him with a pure mind. Now, what about Phil? Well, he takes care of Toby, of course, but that care will never compare to his taking care of his real children. Phil thought Tubbo would choose Dapper, that he didn't think about him and that he didn't care. This is such a huge difference.

I doubt Tubbo will ever get his "you're already part of the family" moment. Believe me, the godfather is not something important, for example, I have never seen my godfather in my life. This is just a recognition of some kind of trust.

How can you live with the realization that you will never be able to become a part of what you are ready to give your life for?

Now that I think about it, q!Tubbo doesn't really on the first place for any of the islanders. Not for Fit, not for Pac, not for Phil, not for anyone at all. It's just a nightmare. Just what the fuck.

If you think this mindset is acceptable you need to check yourself immediately. The Wilbrain crew is just doing their jobs and you have no right to harass them or treat them like shit or make them out to be horrible evil people. You are not the good guy here. This is not a funny or cool or helpful thing to do. You’re just mean and entitled, not to mention blatantly disrespecting the wishes of Flying Bark and the crew.

The animation isn’t even that bad. y’all are just nasty and mean spirited. You don’t have to like it. but you do need to keep in mind that it was done by PEOPLE. They are not your servants. They are not machines. and you have no right to bully them or tell them how to do their jobs. Grow up.

This post isn’t about anyone in particular but it’s a rancid take I’ve seen floating around lately. I know the vast majority of people have been pretty chill and understanding about the Wildbrain situation (good for them!) but there’s always that awful loud minority. Normally I’d just ignore it, but I’m posting this since this sentiment is actively promoting harassment. LEGO works on a strict deadline and you are being straight up unreasonable if you think it’s possible to bully them into redoing a fully complete 2D animated season that has to be released sometime within the next few weeks.
