A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

Ben’s not overly clingy, but he’s naturally affectionate in an easy, effortless way. In public, he loves to kiss your forehead, temples, or the top of your head. He might sling an arm around your shoulders or hold your waist when you’re together. He’s also big on playful touches, holding your hand, squeezing it gently, or resting his hand on your thigh while driving. He def likes it when you're holding onto his arm or leaning into him, it makes him feel good knowing you're reaching out for him just as much as he does for you. He’s tactile in a casual, unspoken way, always reaching out to connect with you.

He’d call you simple pet names or silly nicknames, nothing too over the top. When he’s talking about you in interviews or with friends, it’s always, “My baby did this” or “My girl said that” with that casual and proud tone that shows how happy he is to have you in his life and to show you off.

Ben’s love language is just as much about thoughtfulness as it is physical affection. He’s always on the lookout for things that will make you smile, whether that's chocolate that you both like or buying you Sonny Angel dolls or Miffy collectables when he’s on tour. When he gets back, he’ll sit you between his legs while you open them, playing along with you as you guess what’s inside, laughing at how happy you are. He'd feel like the world's best boyfriend seeing how excited and happy you are, like damn I did well this time, I need to do even better next time.

And if you need something for an event, like a dress or accessories, he’s on it immediately, finding the nicest options, and spoiling you with little jewellery pieces just because. I feel like he'd even download Pinterest and follow your boards so he knows what you're into and he'd walk into shops and stores showing them the Pinterest boards and your selfies, like "Okay so this is my girl, do you think she'd pick this?" He loves surprising you, especially when he knows you’ll be excited.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

We all know Ben to be very agreeable and social amongst so many people so I think if you were to start off as friends, he'd be constantly trying to make you laugh, bantering, teasing you and have casual touches like bear hugs when he sees you, fist bumps, hi-fives; the whole lot.

I think he'd want his partner to be able to riff back and forth with him - make jokes, mock and trashtalk him a bit but also support him and keep him smiling. I imagine on his off days when he has a bunch of things to do, like cleaning his car and grocery lists, he'd want you to tag along and bribe you with food, not that you needed a bribe. As your friendship deepens, late-night deep convos where you both open and more intimate interactions are common, like leaning on his shoulder, hugging his arm, wrapping his arms around your shoulders or lying down on your lap.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

I don't think Ben's the type to constantly initiate cuddling and spooning, but if you curl up beside him, his arms are around you instinctively and immediately.

After a tough match or a long stretch of tour, he might collapse onto the couch beside you, resting his head on your shoulder, craving your warmth. He loves it when you play with his hair or plant soft kisses on his head, it’s a quiet way for him to recharge.

On days when you’re feeling down, he’ll be the one letting you curl up on his chest, holding you close, rubbing your back, and kissing your temple.

Ben has said before that he can’t cook too well, but I think he’s downplaying it. His go-to (especially if you're rushing to college or work) is probably a smoothie—he makes a mean one.

But if he tried something delicious on tour and thought you’d love it, you can bet he’d try recreating it even if it takes way longer than it should. The recipe says 45 minutes? He’s probably spending three hours to make sure every little detail is perfect, especially if it’s for you. You might find him deep in concentration, the kitchen a bit messy, an apron poorly tied around his waist, but smiling at himself for nailing that final touch. He's even more proud when he sees you enjoying it.

On days when you’re cooking or baking, Ben’s your eager sous-chef. He’ll lean on the kitchen island, talking about his day, tasting what you’re making, and sneaking in little hugs from behind. He loves the idea of marriage and kids down the line, but he wants to make sure that when that chapter comes, he’s ready and settled enough to be fully present. If Ben had to end a relationship, I think he’d do it with honesty and respect. He’s not one to ghost or avoid confrontation, so he’d sit down and have a mature conversation. He’d choose a calm, private space, somewhere that feels safe. He'd let you know that he cares and loves you but you're both in different directions with different needs. He would want to part on good terms. He’d make sure you feel heard and understood, and hope to stay civil and supportive.

Ben takes commitment seriously and doesn’t want to rush into it too fast. He wants to be sure of the relationship’s foundation before even thinking about marriage. He believes in growing together first.

If you're giving him a shopping list while he's abroad (like, K-beauty products or Japanese stationary), you'd need to send photos and the full brand name and all, otherwise, the poor guy gets stressed and panic buys stuff.

If you asked him to run and get micellar water, he definitely bought all sorts of sparkling and still water in a panic. Or if you offhandedly mentioned that your period is coming up, he bought wayyyyy too many sanitary products because "how am I supposed to know what size you are?" - that's when you knew you had your work cut out for you, you have to be specific.

He would be on the plane, going through his notes, picking out what he'll be able to find, maybe books or bracelet charms alongside snacks you liked too. He'd take that role very seriously and it'd be so hard for him not to spoil the surprise and give you a haul of all the little things he bought for you; it'd get to a point that one of his bags would just be stuff for you, it was like Christmas when he came back.

You might find him surprising you with those details, like picking up your bagel and coffee order on a random day or planning a date around something you’ve casually mentioned wanting to try. It makes you feel seen and appreciated, knowing that he values your words enough to remember them. Like you might be doing errands together and then pull up to a place you wanted to try or craved and he'd shrug it off and be like "Oh, what? I just thought you'd want to try their new menu, just remembered you talking about it a few nights ago", but internally, he'd be giggling, fist bumping himself at surprising you again.

R = Remember (What is their favourite moment in your relationship?)

Ben’s favourite moment in your relationship is probably one that encapsulates all the love and joy you share together, something that solidifies you as a partner and his best friend. Maybe it was a spontaneous trip you both took, laughing the entire way, sharing silly snacks, and belting out songs in the car. Maybe the tyre was flat and you were both calm and making jokes about it, messing about while waiting for roadside assistance. Maybe it was playing doubles and having no strategy, just vibes and running all over the place (ahem, Arthur Fils and Ben, ahem). But whatever came your way, you both wouldn't find anger or frustration, you'd balance each other out and make a few jokes, and share a few kisses - you both knew everything was going to be alright.

He cherishes the quiet moments too, like those nights spent cuddled up, sharing your dreams and fears, realising how much you both mean to each other. It’s in those intimate exchanges that he finds solace and happiness, making every moment spent together feel significant.

I think Ben’s protectiveness is rooted in genuine care and affection. He’s not overbearing or controlling, but he’s very aware of your comfort and safety, especially when you're together in public and with his fame. If you're walking through a crowd, his hand is always on your lower back, guiding you carefully. If someone’s acting a little too bold, he’ll step in closer, stand a bit taller, and make it crystal clear that you’re with him, and he’s looking out for you. He's got you covered and doesn't need to do too much to make himself known as your partner.

At the same time, Ben loves it when you show care for him too. Maybe it’s the little things, like checking in after a rough match or reminding him to rest after training, gently massaging him after training, caring about if he ate - all the small things to check-in. He’d appreciate it when you link your arm with his in casual moments or hold his hand in public when you look up at him with your sweet eyes and smile or gently plant a kiss. It’s that unspoken connection that makes him feel secure, knowing you’ve got his back as much as he has yours.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

I believe Ben’s the type who goes all-in. He might not always be extravagant, but everything he does is meaningful and well-thought-out, especially after it's been some time away.

For dates, whether it’s something simple like grabbing a pizza or something more special like a surprise picnic, he’ll plan it with you in mind, always tailoring things to your tastes. If it’s a special anniversary, expect him to remember all the little details, maybe even recreating your first date or trying to recreate a scene from a show or movie that you loved. He’s definitely the type to bring flowers, book reservations, and remember your favourite dessert or place to go.

He’s also great with gifts. He pays attention to the small things you mention, whether it’s that cozy sweater you’ve been eyeing or a quirky little item that made you smile. Sometimes, it is just something as small as having a sweet that you like in his pocket like it's "magic" (he forgot he put it there).

Everyday tasks don’t slip his mind; he’ll pitch in with chores, leave a small note, pack your bag for you or just help out in ways that show how much he cares.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

I think Ben's biggest "ugly" trait is probably his occasional messiness, especially after practice or a match. He might leave his bag somewhere leave sweaty clothes lying around or forget to put his sneakers back where they belong. If he’s been travelling a lot, expect his suitcase to explode all over the bedroom before he finally unpacks, and even that would take you pleading with him to get working on that, which he will do with a pout.

He’s prob also guilty of being a bit too focused on his phone at times, like sitting there mouth agape and a protein bar or something in his hand that he forgot he was eating while he's scrolling through social media or watching match highlights when you just want his attention.

But the great thing about Ben is that if you call him out on it, he’ll listen and make an effort to fix it. He’s not one to get defensive about it; he knows his weaknesses and is willing to work on them.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

Ben is definitely aware of how he looks (he knows he's fine as fuck), but he’s not vain in an excessive way. He likes to look good and feel confident, especially in front of a camera or at an event, but he’s not obsessed. He’s got his routines, probably a favourite cologne, a specific hair product he swears by to make his curls look good, but it’s all pretty chill. He’ll make sure his outfit’s on point and his shoes are clean, but he’s not going to spend hours in front of the mirror. He just cares to look good with and for you, nothing else.

He’s comfortable in his own skin and loves it when you appreciate his style too, but at the end of the day, he’s more focused on feeling good than being perfectly groomed. If he knows you love the way he looks in a certain outfit, he’ll definitely wear it more often just to see that smile on your face.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

Ben is a confident, self-assured guy, but when it comes to you, you’ve become such a key part of his life that he’d definitely feel something missing if you weren’t there. You ground him in a way no one else can, bringing out his softer, more relaxed side and keeping him grounded. After a long tour or stressful match, you're the one he turns to for comfort and calm. He loves having you to share his successes and challenges with, and it’s clear he sees you as his other half.

When you’re away from each other, he’d miss all the little things, your laugh, the way you poke fun at him, the way you cuddle into his side, the way you play with his hair and shower him with words of affirmation. Ben’s a big believer in partnership, and having you around makes him feel like he’s not just navigating life alone but with someone who’s always on his side. So yeah, without you, he’d feel incomplete, like something’s missing from his daily rhythm but it wouldn't be a crippling thing.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

So, Ben talked about how he had never been abroad before tennis, I like to think of him being an appreciative guy so I imagine him collecting memorabilia from his tours. Things like lanyards, tickets, wristbands, photos, and even quirky items he finds in hotels from different countries. He probably has a little keepsake box that he fills up with mementoes from the places he’s been, and he loves sharing these memories with you or telling you stories about those things.

When you’re together, he’ll pull out random souvenirs and tell you the stories behind them, maybe even jokingly offering to “trade” you one of his old match wristbands for one of your trinkets. If you offered to make him a scrapbook and document his silly stories, he'd probably hold that so, so close to his heart, maybe even well up a bit knowing you were gentle and careful in documenting it all.

He loves bringing something from you with him on his travels, whether it's your silly pink headband that you use when you're doing your skincare or a hair tie around his wrist. Whenever he gets the chance, he'll send you silly photos and texts wearing or holding those items, telling you that he misses you.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

Ben is generally easygoing, but there are a few things that would rub him the wrong way. He doesn’t like unnecessary drama negativity or toxicity, he’s all about keeping things light and fun, so constant complaining or bad vibes would get under his skin. He also wouldn’t appreciate dishonesty or being led on with games. He values trust and transparency in a relationship especially if he's serious, and if he felt like someone was being shady or playing with his emotions, he’d check out pretty quickly. He doesn't have the time to be doing all that while on tour.

I think he also wouldn’t be into someone who’s overly controlling or doesn’t give him his space. Ben enjoys his independence and time with friends, so he’d need a partner who respects that balance and doesn’t try to keep him on too tight a leash.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)

Deadass prob sleeps like a rock. Ben is the type of guy who falls asleep fast and stays asleep, once he’s out, he’s out. He loves curling up next to you in bed, and he’ll probably drape an arm over you in his sleep, unconsciously pulling you closer. He’s a deep sleeper, and if he’s had a tough day of training or a long match, he might snore lightly, maybe even sleeptalks a bit.

He likes it when you run your fingers through his hair while he’s falling asleep and murmur words of affirmation and love. It relaxes him instantly, and he’ll murmur little thank-yous, kiss your skin softly or give sighs of contentment until he drifts off completely. If he wakes up in the middle of the night, he’ll check on you, making sure you’re comfortable and pulling the blanket over you if it’s slipped off, making sure you're nice and tucked in. Ben might also wake up early, but he’ll stay in bed a little longer, just lying there next to you, content in the quiet moments of the morning.

My favorite headcanon is that Vox teaches Lucifer how to game and Lucifer is comedically bad at it . But if anyone in the shared lobby says anything, you bet your ass whoever did it is getting doxxed .

Also! I don’t think either of them can cook to save their lives . On one of their early dates, Lucifer invited Vox to his house for a home cooked meal, and realizes a tad too late he has no clue how to cook . Vox comes to see him fussing over burnt ramen . They end up ordering in . (They might learn to cook later though, who knows)

Lucifer makes a habit of showing up to places like hours before it’s time to start and just waits at the door except Vox has cameras everywhere so he notices this and ends up letting him in early (Lucifer gets pretty flustered at this the first time it happens). Vox does consider telling him a meeting time that’s later so he’s not comically early, but part of him enjoys getting to spend a few hours before schedule with his bf.

Vox doesn’t really know how to connect to Charlie at first- well he does, but it mostly involves several manipulative tactics that pray on her better nature instead of genuinely just letting her get to know him and vice versa . Eventually they bond by drawing together, even though Vox isn’t the best at it-

Also Lucifer has really horrible memory with conversations, but luckily Vox has surveillance everywhere! He can just record his bf’s conversations for him! Wait what do you mean that’s a breach of privacy? (They have a very long conversation about boundaries after this . )

I think Vox would hype Lucifer up so fucking much too . Not that it’s really necessary cause cmon, king of hell, but it’s like that meme . If I had a lame ass boyfriend I would hype him up so much, I’d be like here comes the specialest boy ever if you don’t clap I’ll blow up this whole building . That’s them . It’s even funnier because Vox is just as much of a cringefail dumbass as Lucifer is .

They talk about how much they hate Alastor but Lucifer notices that Vox is putting waaaaayy too much weight on it . I think they could actually help eachother a lot in this specific aspect because they’re both people who tend to define themselves off of their relationships, and obsess over one particular relationship to the point of it being unhealthy . (Like, I’m not sure if you’ve seen it, but theres a post about how Vox isn’t really happy or excited about anything until Alastor shows up? And Lucifer is the same way with Charlie calling him! I think Lucifer having a person in his life that has nothing to do with his daughter before meeting him would be pretty welcome, and Vox having someone who can validate his feelings about Alastor without enabling him is also just soooo)

hi hi hi omgggg i am so excited and glad that you asked this!!! apologies for responding so late btw; i’m currently visiting canada so i’ve been fairly busy with my family. but i have down time rn and i’ve been thinking about my answers a bit over the last couple of days, so here they are!

also disclaimer: i’m soooo bad at picking favorite episodes because in all honesty plot lines blend together for me and sometimes i forget which specific episodes stand out to me especially since it’s been over a year since i’ve rewatched this show (i need to do it again soon i know) so a lot of this is based off the episodes i find myself returning to over and over and over again

1x06 - FZZT: this episode……this episode!!!! i contemplated for a while whether this deserved the top spot and honestly idk why i was doubting it before. a lot of people say you just have to make it to the end of the season with the whole hydra reveal to get hooked on aos but this is the episode that got me. plus it’s such an important early fitzsimmons episode and you know how much i love them!! very quotable i can rattle off half their conversations i’m agent grant ward and i can shoot the legs off a flee from 500 yards as long as it’s not windy etc etc etc

4x15 - self control: ummmm single-handedly gave me trust issues and the ability to toss flip stab on cue with lmd fitz (also that skimmons hug is to die for)

6x06 - inescapable: to no one’s surprise, another fitzsimmons episode makes the top three! this one is just so rewatchable i’ve seen it so many times there is so much to unpack

1x17 - turn, turn, turn: i don’t feel like i have to speak on this much because lives were changed all around

Soooo, I know I’m supposed only to pick three pics, but honestly, I simply cannot (I know, no surprise there). I have been wanting to do a vibe photo dump for The Aid (the Whumpee & title of the story) but have yet to do it (hello, my ever-expanding Pinterest boards), so I’ll take this chance to explore The Aid’s past phases he’s gone through (pre & post-Wyatt {Whumper #2}) and give some explanations because it’s a lot. However, I don’t know if explanations are necessary for this tag game, but I’m famously too much, so of course, I’m going to over-explain myself because of my crippling fear of being misunderstood!

Ironically, I call his time with Madame Eleanor (technical Whumper #1) his “Aid Era” because that’s when he becomes this character we are introduced to and currently know him as. Yet, this is the part of his life he is phasing out of. **Insert something-something about being haunted by your past.**

(In the current storyline, he is going through a succession of more changes, and his world is about to be turned upside down yet again, but I’ll hold off on showing those for now because they’re spoilers, and I have more than enough here!)

Starting from the top, here we goooo—

P.S. The people in these pics are not what the characters look like, this is simply vibes only!

Day 1

1. As soon as The Aid arrives at his new home, Madame Eleanor gets custom-made Gucci uniforms made for him that looks like this. This is his go-to everyday attire. (I spent too long looking at scrubs and hospitality uniforms on and off for over a month—tell me you like it and think it’s cool and sleek.)

2. He has a special built-in in his closet specifically for all his fancy, jewel-encrusted collars Madame Eleanor gifted him throughout the years, but this is what the facility's standard-issue collar looks like for his designation (Grand Servant: Domestic Aid).

3. His favorite Prada frames Madame Eleanor got him. (Wyatt later breaks them because he’s an asshole, leaving him straight up blind for several months).

Fancy Threads

Eleanor Sullivan was a Rich Bitch™️, so best believe she had her servant dressed to the 9s in designer fits when out and about or for Family events and the like. She may also put him in a butler uniform from time to time when they were hosting a party at their residence—which was often, Eleanor was known for her soirées. (To clarify, he’d still wear a collar even when dressed up, and all those attending knew who and what he was.)

The Host

He loved a good party just as much as Eleanor did! He likes serving and seeing people have fun and enjoy themselves (people-pleasing empath). He was known for his food displays and had a knack for creating a proper afternoon tea spread that garnered attention from all those present.

Speaking of Empath…

We can’t talk about him without bringing up his not-so-secret secret! Lil’ homie has a gang of abilities (telepathic empathy, hyper intuition, premonitions, and psychometry) just bubbling up inside him at all times. His relationship with himself and his sixth senses is complicated, to say the least—he finds them burdensome, yet he cannot function without them, despite how much he argues otherwise. It’s a whole thing, but for a certified Telepathic-Empath™️, he sure is dead inside (which only gets worse after Wyatt OFC).

Domestic Duties

Not only can he slap together the best charcuterie board you’ve ever seen and easily untangle Christmas lights, but he’s also a man who can cook, clean, and keep a house. What can’t he do?

Hobbies? Interests?

Don’t be ridiculous, he didn’t have time for leisure activities! But when he had some occasional downtime, he would spend an ungodly amount of it doing facials and grooming himself. He also loved to go to the spa with Madame Eleanor. As far as reading went, he wasn’t into novels, but he would occasionally peruse short-story myths and legends, old fables, or read picture books in funny voices to Eleanor’s grandchildren. Primarily, he’d like to read trashy magazines, comics, and cookbooks. But let’s be real, he considered cleaning, gossiping, and baking his primary hobbies.

RIP Madame Eleanor Sullivan

(She’s been dead for about a year and a half when they story picks up)

First and foremost—above everything else—The Aid was Eleanor Sullivan’s literal live-in medically trained caregiver, which is why she bought him in the first place. They had a very close relationship for five years, and he did everything for her. When she died, his world was shattered, and he took her death really hard. Wyatt was jealous of his Mother’s relationship with her servant from day one, which is where part of his animosity comes from. Quick note—Eleanor was a posh, vintage-Chanel-wearing Grandma and would never be caught dead wearing a bathrobe outside. Eleanor was Queen of being That Bitch.

Enter: Wyatt Sullivan

These pics are pretty tame all things considered, but after Eleanor’s death, The Aid is now in a World O’ Hurt and the subject of Wyatt’s drug-and-alcohol-fueled rage. The Aid went from a high-class servant loved by his Madame and respected by her friends, associates, and family (besides Wyatt) to a human punching bag overnight. The beef between these two runs deep and maybe Eleanor isn’t as innocent as she seems. Stick around and you’ll find out all the Sullivan family tea.

Where We’re at Now…

Quite the fall from grace, wouldn’t you say? Our boy is currently bed-ridden and zombified while having the worst time imaginable. He’s drugged up, fucked up, and can’t move half of his body!

okay well i guess i didn’t need my alarms cause i can’t seem to sleep more lmao. it’s 5 am

soooo pokemon presents in a little less than 4 hrs huh? realistically i’m expecting something either johto or unova related and since they’re apparently lighting up NYC today, which is not usual for pokemon day, i’m kind of leaning unova. i have mixed feelings about this since as much as i actually did enjoy my time with BDSP, i was dually disappointed by them and i’m still sad that sinnoh isn’t going to get the HGSS or ORAS treatment ever - if unova remakes were to be of a similar caliber of bdsp, i’d rather them just not exist at all frankly. nostalgia bias and my immense love for sinnoh aside, i think the unova games, especially bw2, are some of the best games in the entire franchise, and if they are remade, or get bw3 sequels, or whatever, i want them to be GOOD. lets not spit on the legacy of gen 5 now!! but. i remain cautiously optimistic. i’m not a super cynical pokemon fan and like i said i did enjoy bdsp despite everything. also a legends kyurem or whatever would be awesome btw i wanna see the og dragon lol. johto would also be cool but i’m having a lot less thoughts on it for some reason. i’m sure if they announce anything johto ayano will have incredibly passionate thoughts about it

now i’m not really one for predictions, the above talk is maybe the most obvious outcome since they usually do remakes mid-gen. instead i’ll just talk about some things i would WANT even if they’re a pipe dream and i don’t necessarily expect them:

a new PMD. not an explorers remake, a new PMD with a fresh story and everything. we haven’t had a proper new PMD story since 2015 and i MISS IT. i’d also enjoy explorers remakes but frankly i want a new game the most and i wanna play as sprigatito SOBS THE PALDEA STARTERS WOULD BE SO GOOD FOR PMD

gen 3 on NSO with full online capabilities and also connectivity to NSO ports of colosseum and gale of darkness. i 100% do not think this is happening but it would blow me away if it did. the amount of gen 3 that so many people were never able to experience as children, especially me… could finally be done online!!! it’d be cool if they removed all the dumb trading restrictions too but unlikely. (as an aside if they released gen 1/2 VC again with stadium compatibility that’d be epic but i somehow expect that even less)

some sort of new stadium-type game with home compatibility that provides single player trials similar to that of the old gen battle frontiers. i just REALLY really miss old singleplayer battle challenges. i want a new one to spend a bazillion years on making wacky teams and winning w them. i enjoy VGC but sometimes that singleplayer experience hits different

i really am a spinoff enjoyer. surprise me with something new! that isn’t a mobile game with gacha elements! just a whole new standalone pokemon idea. no idea what genre just excite me

Also also I would love to write a death note - magnus archives fears au but I have no ideas so here are my unsolicited opinions.

Light serves the end with aspects of the web. A lot of Light’s actions are motivated by the fear of death, which is very appropriate for an End avatar, and given that Light’s primary motive in the show is bringing death to to people it fits. Obviously he’s manipulative enough to have a bit of Spider in there as a treat. For what it’s worth I also think he’s a bit Lonely coded, but it’s not his driving motivation so I’m not really counting it.

L serves the Hunt with aspects of the Lonely. Just because he’s smart doesn’t mean he’s an Eye avatar, and literally his whole thing with Light is a cat and mouse game. He enjoys the chase. Bro he is so hunt avatar coded. Again, isolation isn’t his driving motive, but it is something he has very much accepted, which is very Lonely aligned.

Misa serves the corruption with aspects of the end. The corruption is constantly linked to unhealthy relationships and the desperation to be adored which is incredibly Misa, plus I want moe fucked up nasty woman <3 End mostly just for being a Death Note user.

Death notes are leitners in this au.

Ryuk and Rem are Ceaseless watchers with aspects of the end bc their whole thing is like not interfering and curiosity about humans, even if they’re not typical eye avatars.

Mello is the desolation with aspects of the lonely because come on just look at him. His violence isn’t quite as random as the Slaughter, and his driving motive is beating Near, plus all the burnout references in Desolation statements and Mello’s love of explosives he is such a guy who serves the Desolation. He is however also one of the chardacters most driven to isolate themselves, so the Lonely is a big contender. He doesn’t seem to care too much about catching Kira except for where it pertains to beating Near so no Hunt status for you buddy.

Near serves the web with aspects of the lonely. So many of Near’s tactics are around manipulation and not direct action, which fits the Web, and much like Mello, he doesn’t seem all that excited about catching Kira so it’s definitely not the hunt. He does lack the trademark curiosity of an Eye avatar, hence why I’m not counting it. And obviously the Lonely, because much as we see Near working with people, his whole thing about cordoning himself from people for fear of getting hurt is soooo lonely coded.

Wammy’s house probably either serves the Hunt or the Lonely.

Ranking My 2023 Fics + hints of a planned 2024 fic (that im hoping to actually get done lmao)

I did this last year so I’m gonna do it again 🏃🏾‍♀️

Side note, before I begin, I would love love love to say a huge thanks to all of my readers, everyone who’s been interacting, enjoying and sparing a glance at anything I’ve written over the year. It tends to get really busy sometimes but I push through for you guys so thanks a ton :)))

ALSO I got a beta reader this year and they are one of the swaggiest people on the planet and I def would not be here without ‘em so an extra special thanks to @justicecaballer (who also has a few fics out) 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾

OKAY LETS GET STARTED

1. dear, hello, salutations, love, sincerely, from, goodbye (8.99999/10). Im lowkey obsessed with this fic????

Like obviously it’s based off of my favourite movie of all time (DONT GET ME STARTED ON TO ALL THE BOYS-) and it also gives me the chance to explore Caitlyn and Vi’s relationships with their parents. Handling Vi’s grief AND being able to research lacrosse (I’ve been watching gameplay for the upcoming chapter lmao), something I’d never do if it wasn’t for this fic, has just been so fun. I still worry about my characterization of Cait and Vi, but I feel like I’m doing a pretty solid job right now. Also this is officially my longest fic to date and I’m glad I’m getting more and more comfortable with descriptions and getting better at pacing. The slow burn is kind of hitting I can’t lie, they’re so in love it hurts!!!! I’ve also been loving writing Caitlyn’s friendships! I’m SO GLAD I decided to write in Kai’Sa I’m obsessed with her. Jayce appearances have been few and far between, but they’ve been quite nice. I’m super excited to have this fic be finished and to get all of my ideas out!! More of Vi’s family dynamic is coming soon 🤭🤭🤭. ALSO, more scenes from the movie and even the book will be included I’m so excited lemme stop yapping!!!!

2. play stupid games, win gay prizes (8.8/10). SO FUN I CANT

This was my first beta read fic and also just one of my favourite fics of mine in general. It is genuinely so fun. I wish I added more festival/pride month vibes, but Caitlyn and Vi annoying each other did it enough I think LOL. That vibe of them just being the biggest nuisances to each other unfortunately didn’t last super long in the show so exploring it in this fic was exciting! The make out scene most definitely hit………. Like come on they’re soooo obsessed with each other it’s embarrassing. The bingo scene was most definitely iconic!!! The twister scene was too! It was just an entire bundle of fun no one gets it. Maybe I’ll post my notes for this fic. Part two…… is in the works…. Expect it by spring maybe?????

3. fix my galentine (7.5/10). Cutie patooties 🤭

I’m sorry but the whole “lemme just break something in my house so hot lady comes over to fix it” just kind of hits to me???? Like Caitlyn was so disastrously down bad it was the cutest thing ever. The reveal of what Mel (the greatest wing woman of all time) asked Vi was just so fun as well. There was no angst or anything in this one, it was just cute valentine vibes and flowers and love and all of those gross stuff so it was great to get out and enjoy. LET THE GIRLS BE HAPPY! I also thought a lot about Caitlyn’s job in this, weirdly. She was Hextech’s lawyer and something about that is just so fun to me lol. Was also thinking about a scene where some pipe bursts in the company building and Vi’s called to fix it and everyone is drooling over Vi but Vi’s just waiting for her job to be done to see Cait in her office and in a suit 🤭. First person was definitely a choice but I don’t think it hurt the fic all too much. ANYWAY, super cute and super fun.

4. who tf is this girl (6.5/10). Anniversaire 🤞🏾

Honestly nothing too interesting. A short little one shot to pair with the first ever fic I wrote and posted on ao3. It was just a fun little thing. I don’t know if Caitlyn would really be a jealous person…. Protective, most definitely, but jealous just doesn’t fit her too much in my opinion. It was nice little thing tho that I still enjoyed writing and finishing. I think I could see a lot of my improvement from the og fic to my this one. I just love their established relationship shenanigans idk let them be a normal couple fr.

5. hunting prize (6/10). Ooooo suffering.

SORRY THIS IS LAST LMAO. This fic was lowkey just exhausting to get through lol. It most definitely is not the worst thing in the world, but I’m starting to realize how draining it is to just write constant suffering. It’s still technically incomplete lmao. The last chapter is supposed to be about a year or more later. Caitlyn wipes out the enforcers and brings in the Wardens and then asks Vi to be the Undercity lead for them as they dance at a ball for the official announcement. I appreciate everyone who stuck with this fic because it took soooo long to actually finish. Whump is just really not my thing lol. I have yet to truly do the canon verse any justice in one of my fics but next year I’m locking in, I swear.

This year has been so great for my fics and everything, so a massive thanks again for all of you friends :))))

Writing Updates!!

For anyone who doesn’t follow me on Twitter (or if my posts haven’t been showing up on your tl recently lol) here’s some updates on what I’ve been up to for the past month or so!

First off, I participated in NaNoWriMo again this year and I won with 50,345 words!

About 14k went to a new pza oneshot WIP that can best be described as a modern AU mashup of the Iliad & the film The Dreamers and whose draft is about one-third of the way through now.

The other 36k went to the Where The Dead Forget manuscript, mostly drafting chapters 6, 7, 8, & 9 (chapter 7 ended up getting split into 7 and 8 in the process so now the whole thing is 22 chapters).

In my notes for chapter 5 on AO3, I said I would be publishing chapter 6 before November and then having chapter 7 done before the end of the year but I ended up letting myself take a break from writing in October so I could do reading & outlining while refilling my creative cups and I think that ended up being the correct choice!

So that just means I’m now gonna be editing and publishing WTDF ch 6 in December, and since the rough drafts for the next three chapters after that are near completion, I’m hoping the time between updates will be shorter for the time being. It actually seems rather efficient for me to write 3-4 chapter chunks at once so if I’m able to also edit & publish several chapters at a faster clip this way I might cycle between “writing months” and “editing months”.

My unpublished manuscript docs are now at 72k and if we add that to the almost 51k of WTDF I’ve already published, that puts it at 122k… rough estimate it’s about 50% complete. Soooo yeah it’s another one of THOSE fics that completely took on a life of its own and became a monstrosity LMAO. Hope no one minds! uwu

I’ll do my best to publish as much as I can in 2024… hopefully it’ll only take me another year to at least finish all the drafting.

Also one more: I’m participating in a Hades fandom gift exchange this year so after WTDF Ch 6 goes up, I’ll be focusing on writing one more Hadesgame fic with a deadline of mid January. I can’t say anything else, such as what it’s about or even which character(s) and/or ship(s) are involved without possibly giving away the game but trust me I was really excited & honored to receive my giftee and I was immediately inspired (I wrote 1k already!) I hope they’ll like it ;3;

So TL;DR:

WTDF Ch 6 sometime in December (the title is Guilt btw)

Gift Exchange Hades fic in January

The Dreamers-inspired modern AU Iliad PZA fic… sometime. Spring might be nice, let’s shoot for spring (also btw the working title is Liminal Spaces)

WTDF chapters 7-9 as soon as they’re edited (working titles are currently Known, Glory, and Champion, although they still might change) TBD 2024!!

TLOU owns my heart. Will always love it. Which is why I was so conflicted by TLOU2 since I loved it so much but I hated how much I was enjoying certain part for certain reason. Percy Jackson though is the first book I ever wanted to read not for school and it kind of opened the whole door to reading for me (well that and The Hunger Games) and it’s spiraled into so many other things I now love which is why Percy Jackson has a special place in my heart and why I’m so hyped for the show (also the author was so involved that I feel like I don’t have to worry about it. Which as excited as I was for TLOU show I was super hesitant until I actually saw that first episode).

I like to binge play games because if I start a game I don’t intend to stop which is why when I started Spider-Man 2 I literally played till 2-4am. Or I start a game (Hogwarts legacy, forbidden west, Witcher 3) and only play like 2 hours and then don’t touch it for like over a year. I had a co-worker who took vacation time to play it and by that time he was back at work he was on like his third play through. He was doing a play through with each house (gotta experience all the side stuff!)

It was me! I love that and I’ve actually had super similar conversations. Someone asks for a manager and I go find one and I’m like “this person wants this thing and we don’t have it and they don’t believe me. Go tell them the same thing.” And then they go say the exact same thing I did and the person is all “oh okay thank you.” And then I just get offended.

It also owns my heart; I could talk about it nonstop if someone let me. Oh, trust me? I was the same way playing it. I hated how much I loved certain parts of the game, which makes it soooo much better. TLOU part 2 is the best game I have ever played hands down. Percy Jackson is one of the best series to get younger people into reading, along with the Hunger Games, so I can see how those books introduced you into the world of reading!! (The books that got me into reading was the ‘Game of Thrones’ series at the age of 13🧍‍♀️) I love all things that deal with Greek mythology, so I cannot wait for the show. I was also super hesitant about TLOU show, but just the very first scene of the first episode told me it was going to be amazing

Binge playing games is my favorite thing to do, but then I feel like I have no purpose once I finish a game. Hogwarts Legacy is a game that’s only good for one play through, but that’s just my opinion. And how the hell has your coworker done 3 playthroughs? 😭 i would get too bored with it

People have no respect for employees, like you guys are people too, no need to get upset with them over something they can’t control 😭 and the fact that they were nicer to your manager is insane, you deserve to be offended by that

How Emotional Abuse affects your mind In Your Next Relationship:

I was ghosted by a guy named Cody who told me he was “bisexual” but I noticed he hung out with men way more than women. After he ghosted me, I sorta stalked his Facebook for a week and noticed there were all these men tagging him in stuff, having their status as “in a relationship with him” and yeah, I felt pretty stupid for thinking cody could want me (a woman) 😓 I felt really bad like I should’ve been a man, maybe then Cody wouldn’t have ghosted me. 💀💀💀

Next, I’m with Andrew for over a year BUT I’ve been traumatized by cody ghosting me SO I fear and doubt my whole relationship with Andrew that he’s gonna hurt me and that I’m not gonna be “pretty enough” or “good enough” for him. The love bomb phase, actually didn’t truly happen till we had been flirting a summer and then dating a couple months. Up until that phase, it had been bread crumbs and intermittent reinforcement!! I was JUST starting to get comfortable enough at that point during the love bombing to think maybe he really DID find me attractive and as somebody he could want to truly be with because suddenly he opened up and started to let me close to him… Of course that didn’t last. Problem is, when Andrew pulled back, I didn’t!! I grappled so hard onto him! I didn’t want the “love bombing Andrew” to go away. I began to question and confront his behavior over and over. Eventually I found proof he was cheating and then when I broke up with him, he was a robot!!! No emotions ☠️

After I’m away from Andrew, I STILL want to find the “love of my life” but I’m so scared!! I matched with my husband on the app “Ok Cupid!” But it took me 4 months to trust my new man enough to be in a “relationship” but then Andrew came back… and well, I wanted Andrew soo bad to be my bf again but I knew he was just a flying monkey who only wanted to attack me. He didn’t come back to “love me again”. Andrew never loved me 😓😭❤️‍🩹

WELL, I blocked Andrew’s number but continued to talk to my new man another 3 months before I would even meet him in person or tell my family about it. I kept expressing to my new man that I had fears from Andrew and Cody. My new man is only patient for those 3 months and then he demands I either meet him and date him for real or stop wasting his time 🥺😭😭😭😭 I didn’t wanna hurt my new man or miss out on any opportunities but I wasn’t sure what I wanted or if I was doing the right thing. I prayed so hard about what to do!!

I meet my man in person and on one of our first dates, we walked around a mall and ended up at sears, sitting on a couch in the furniture section with our feet up and we talked for hours about life and what we wanted out of life… I NEVER got that with Cody or Andrew!! I felt safe with my new man and in less than 3 months later, we were engaged 😳😳😳😳 We only talked about marriage every single day that we dated in person. I wasn’t surprised when he proposed I KNEW it was going to happen. Suddenly I’m caught up in planning the wedding and in the make out phase with my fiancé… It was all so exciting and made me feel soooo special after all I went through.

Now after we’re married, it’s hard work. The “make out” phase ended, we had sex every day for a month or so and you eventually wear that out too!! My husband got comfortable with me so he started playing video games again and I started going out with my mom. During this time, I realize how many women also play video games AND now they’re playing with my husband online. I WAS TRIGGERED and didn’t know it… I got SO DEFENSIVE AND UPSET!! I overreacted to it and told my husband how much that hurt me. (He knew I’ve been lied on and cheated) But he was just playing video games and it was right in front of me. He wasn’t even trying to hide it all but I just struggled to trust him and immediately I worried am I gonna get my heart broken again…. 😝

That wasn’t even the first time I overreacted or cried at the drop of a hat for no reason!! It didn’t take long, I felt so disconnected from my spouse and like a wall is between us and I KNOW now it’s a wall I built. At some point, my husband and I have a talk where he says “I pulled away from him and he doesn’t know why 😳🥺What??!! Me??!!! I didn’t think I was doing that… He also asked me am I talking to other guys and cheating on him. 😭 I truly felt soooo disconnected from him and struggled to understand any of it. I wasn’t excited anymore. I was scared and… MY BIGGEST FEAR???? (My husband sits on his video games all night with guys laughing and giving them all his attention) Is…my….husband….even….straight???? I mean, Cody ghosted me for men. Why wouldn’t my husband? (Comparing relationships)

Why would I make such accusations????? FEAR!!!! Trauma from the emotional abuse… I could not stop thinking of.Andrew the WHOLE time since I got married and it was really bad at first. I felt like a cheater, I beat myself up AND I questioned “was I still madly in love with Andrew???” 😢 Not until I learned about emotional abuse, did I understand myself and my marriage. Wow!! I would obsessively Google “why am I so obsessed with my ex??” AND “am I a bad wife???” 😒😔 I never knew I needed healing and closure from both Cody and Andrew!!!

Now that I’m aware, I’m trying so hard to work on myself and be a better wife… I feel guilty making this blog and this account. I don’t like hiding things from my husband but I also don’t feel comfortable to talk to him about it all. My fear is that he’ll say I still want Andrew and say I’m cheating. 😭😭😭😭😭

It’s crazy healing from trauma bonding when you’re legit in a whole marriage and my husband is super sensitive!! If he knew what was really going on and could truly understand, I believe he would be so upset and probably want space from me because he would feel responsible to heal me and can’t.

This healing journey is about shedding old wounds, habits and transforming myself but I do fail often. I failed today 😭😭😭 but I’m sorry!!!
